Was in a car accident and the airbags did not deploy. I was diagnosed with a fractured sternum as my chest hit the steering wheel
You listed this VIN as having an airbag recall repair pending. I setup an appointment at the dealer. They went through the motions of doing the replacement and gave me paperwork indicating they had serviced the recall, but I believe you had lied to me and they are lying to me about the recall. This VIN does not correspond to an airbag recall according to multiple other sources. I recently inspected the passenger airbag it definitely not new. That is what clued me to begin checking further. I don't believe they replaced the driver airbag either. In the mean time I had to take buses to and from the dealership, after work, at night, in the rain, in the middle of this Omicron Covid spike. You an the dealer endangered my health and I want to know why and who is responsible.

THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE INTO THE LEFT LANE AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT COLLIDED WITH THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED TWO FRACTURED RIB, SHOULDER AND CONCUSSION DUE TO HIS HEAD COLLIDED WITH THE STEERING THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAINED INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS PROPERTY DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE CONTACT INSURANCE DEEMED THE VEHICLE AS TOTALED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V026000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. WHILE TRAVELING THROUGH A PARKING LOT, A LAMP POST WAS HIT ON THE DRIVER SIDE QUARER PANEL ABOVE THE TIRE. THE SPEED TRAVELED WAS 5 MPH AND THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. THERE ARE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS COMPLAINTS OF AIRBAGS NOT GOING OFF IN FRONTAL COLLISIONS, BUT A SIDE IMPACT AT 5 MPH CAUSED THE AIRBAG TO GO OFF, WHICH IN TURN ALSO TWISTED THE DASH BOARD AND BROKE THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE ACTUAL CRASH ITSELF CAUSED LESS THEN $500 OF DAMAGE, IT IS THE AIRBAG, WINDSHIELD, AND DASH BOARD THAT CAUSED ALL OF THE DAMAGE.
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS RIDING AS A PASSENGER. DURING THE ACCIDENT THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND RELEASED VIOLENTLY. AS A RESULT, THE PASSENGER SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES. *YH
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON MY 1999 HONDA CIVIC FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH IN SEPTEMBER 2002. I TOOK THE CAR TO GET A NEW SWITCH INSTALLED. AFTER THAT I DID NOT SEE A POSITIVE CHANGE OR FASTER START UP OF THE CAR . IN FACT, IT SEEMED TO START SLOWER AND SLOWER. WHEN I WOULD PRESS THE ACCELERATOR I FELT A GRINDING SENSATION UNDER MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL, WHICH SOUNDED LIKE THE CAR WAS STRUGGLING TO SPEED UP. WHEN I BOUGHT IT, THE GEARS WOULDN'T CHANGE PROPERLY. I WOULD PRESS THE ACCELERATOR TO GO UP TO SPPED ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME FOR THE CAR TO CHANGE GEARS, IT SOUNDED VERY LOUD BECAUSE OF THIS. AS I WAS DRIVING I HEARD SOMETHING CRACK UNDER THE CAR AND THE CAR STARTED TO SPIN TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. I BELIEVE THE CAR HAD A SAFETY DEFECT THAT CAUSED THE WHEELS TO BREAK, RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER TOLD ME THESE ARE SOME OF THE DAMAGES TO THE CAR: THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR SHIFTED, THE AXLE BROKE, THE TIRES AND WHEELS BROKE, THEY DECLARED THE CAR A TOTAL LOSS. I BELIEVE THE WHEELS/TIRES BROKE FIRST, WHICH IS PROBABLY WHAT THE CRACKING SOUND WAS THAT I HEARD WHICH CAUSED THE CAR SWERVE. MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAID THE CAR OFF SO FAST WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 25 MPH AND WAS HIT HEAD-ON BY A DRIVER IN A FORD TAURS TRAVELING ABOUT 40 MPH IN THE WRONG LANE. BOTH AIR BAGS IN THE TARUS DEPLOYED AND MINE, IN THE 1999 HONDA CIVIC DID NOT DEPLOY. THE IMPACT OF THE CRASH HAS CAUSED INJURIES TO MY CHEST FROM THE SEATBELT WHICH PROBABLY COULD BE EXPECTED, AND SAVED MY LIFE; AND INJURIES TO MY NECK AND BACK FROM THE FORWARD THRUST CAUSED BY THE HEAD -ON IMPACT. BUT, THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED IN THE HONDA. IT IS UNREASONABLE TO THINK THEY WOULD NOT DEPLOY BASED ON THE DEGREE OF THE IMPACT .
