About a year ago, the transmission failed costing us nearly $5000 to fix it. This incident happened approximately April of 2022, no warning signs at all. Now, the airbag deployed while merging onto the freeway without any impact which was the scariest thing. I’m very concerned there are other issues. There were no warning signs on both incidents.
Vehicle dashboard indicated that Airbag intermediately had issues and service was needed. Vehicle taken to dealership and had to have failing airbag replaced.
Air bag light came on like 1 year ago. I had the dealership do the diagnostic on the car. They said it was cable relay. They said estimate to repair was over $2000. I have contacted Honda Goodwill department and after several emails and phone calls they gave me an option to pay $100 and they cover the rest. I have agreed. They have replaced cable relay and everything was fine. About a month later the airbag light came back on. I went to the dealership for diagnostics and they said that its the driver side airbag that is defective and that they recommended it to be replaced. Cost with labor $1100. I wrote to Honda Goodwill again but the said they only did a one time courtesy and that i am responsible for the future expenses. The car has never been in an accident and its not my fault that there is an airbag issue. Im afraid of my and my family’s safety when i drive the car. Please help.

The car crashed into the back of the truck in front of it. The crash caused the airbag to go off and either the airbag itself or the area that covers the steering wheel cut my wife’s jaw/throat. She was luck it did not cut her artery or wind pipe she was able to be transported to the hospital and survived.

While I was driving, a truck hit me from behind causing a 5 car accident. My car was unable to be driven from the scene. The radiator and front collision bar are very bent in, however my airbags did not deploy. The truck was going 60 mph when it hit me hard enough to cause another 3 cars to have damage. This is a potential issue for others and currently I have very bad neck and head pain from the accident. My car had a warning screen saying “check airbag system” after the accident.
The specific part is the driver side airbag inflater which is causing the airbag system to fail. The repair has not been done on the vehicle yet. According to the dealer, when the indicator light triggers, none of the airbags will inflate in an accident. After February 1, 2023 the airbag indicator is activated every time the car is driven. The car was taken to the local dealer at the end of March 2023. The service adviser said the resistance is out of tolerance for the air bag causing the entire airbag system to fail.
I was involved in a multi vehicle crash on the highway at a high rate of speed, approximately 50mph. I was hit from behind and hit the car in front of me totaling my car. My airbags did not deploy and I hit the steering wheel upon impact and suffered 4 compression fractures in my T1-T4 vertebrae. The doctor stated that if my airbags would have deployed I would not have suffered the neck fractures that I did.
A message comes up on my dash to check airbag system.I brought it to the Honda dealership in Mobile,Al. for a diagnostic.I was told that my driver airbag needs to be replaced.
The airbag lights come one and comes off periodically. The Honda Motors refused to address the issue. This car 's current audiometer reading is 51500 miles
Air Bag warning light intermittently coming on. Has become more frequent. Started at 60,000 miles, infrequent at first but now at 80,000 mile on almost all the time. Brought it in to be checked and at that time warning light was off. Was told it was a safety issue since airbags would not deploy if light was illuminated when in a collision

I was in an accident in October of last year, and when my vehicle was hit none of my airbags were deployed. we no longer have access to the vehicle to inspect it. none of my airbags deployed and I don't want that to happen to anyone else. it was inspected by police and by Gerber. and no there were no warnings.
Check Airbag lights came on at 50,000 miles. It started when the mileage on the car was 45 miles and in the last summer 2021. The problem disappeared during the winter. It reappeared in March 2022

I was sold a lemon in July 2015 from Victory Honda San Bruno.my VIN comes up as a 2014 Civic LX instead of EX-L.I never noticed the model difference until I had to look up recalls etc 'cause my pulley shaft stopped@ 94kmiles whilr on the freeway.Honda in Oakland&San bruno wanted $8k to fix it,ran my credit 4x for financing justtosay,not approved&my tranny cancels a $9k buyback/trade in.Honda of Oakland allowed a rep. to switch my car info w/someone else's, my last name, mileage, model, etc &allowed someone to pickup my car from them &didn't notify me for 4days,they also wanted$600 for tests, service AorB,trany flush(i didn't authorize)&my car(no previous engine problems)still doesnt drive.It has only been serviced at those 2 honda locations.I was NEVER notified&have these issues..PULLEY SHAFT#JU2,TIRE BEAD #JD8,now the AIRBAG RECALLS.On Nhtsa.gov/recalls,theres hundreds of owners w/my VIN #s minus the last 5-8 #s w/the same problems esp at 90k mile.my car is PAID OFF
YESTERDAY THE CHECK AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON MY 2014 HONDA. AFTER HAVING A MECHANIC CHECK THE ERROR CODE, HE CONFIRMED THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY AIRBAG INFLATOR. I HAPPEN ONLY ONCE I START DRIVING AND IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I'M SITTING AT A LIGHT TO MOVING. I'VE NOTICED THAT OTHER HONDA'S HAVE HAD SIMILIAR PROBLEMS WHEN SEARCHING THE NET. THE WORD "PROACTIVE" HAS NEVER ENTERED INTO THEIR VOCABULARY. IN FACT, I WOULD NOT PURCHASE A SECOND HONDA BECAUSE THEY WERE SUCH MORONIC IDIOTS. YOUR CARS MAY BE THE CREAM OF THE CROP IN JAPAN, BUT HERE IN THE USA, WE EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ACCOMPANY THE PURCHASE OF A CAR. WHICH IS SEVERELY LACKING IN ANY OF YOUR LOCAL DEALERSHIPS. AIR PRESSURE ON MY FRONT PASSENGER TIRE HAS BEEN LOW SINCE A MONTH INTO THE PURCHASE OF THIS CAR. THE ALERT ONLY WENT OFF ONCE, BUT WHEN I GOT THE TIRES REFILLED, THE TIRE STILL SEEMED FLAT. I JUST LET IT BE BECAUSE NO FURTHER ALERTS CAME ON. BUT I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND SLIPPED ON SNOW THE OTHER DAY AND HIT A CURB, WHICH DEPLOYED MY AIRBAGS. I RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE AND WAS URGED TO ACT PROMPTLY IN GETTING IT FIXED. I WAS TOLD IN THE LETTER TO CALL MY HONDA DEALERSHIP SO THEY COULD ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS AND THEN SCHEDULE TO DROP OFF MY CAR FOR THEM TO BE ABLE TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. I CALLED DUVAL HONDA ON CASSAT AND WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE DESK THAT THEY WERE NOT ORDERING PARTS UNTIL I BROUGHT THE CAR BY FOR AN INSPECTION FIRST, BUT THEY COULD NOT INSPECT ANY CAR AFTER 3PM. I FIND THIS EXTREMELY UNSATISFACTORY SINCE MOST OF US THAT OWN THESE CARS WORK FOR A LIVING. THE LADY I SPOKE WITH CALLED HER MANAGER AND HE CONFIRMED THAT NO, THEY WERE NOT INSPECTING CARS FOR THIS RECALL AFTER 3PM I CALLED A DIFFERENT DEALER IN TOWN AND THEY ARE ORDERING THE PARTS WITHOUT SEEING MY CAR AND I HAVE SCHEDULED TO DROP IT OFF WITH THEM. WHILE DRIVING ALONG AT NORMAL SPEEDS, MY VEHICLE ALERTED ME THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE CHECKED. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE FOR ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM. THE SRS LIGHT WAS RESET AND I WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP IF THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I DID NOT MAKE IT HOME BEFORE THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I, [XXX], ATTEST THAT THE EVENT DESCRIBED BELOW IS THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE ACCIDENT ON 03/30/2014. SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOYED. ON SUNDAY MARCH 30, 2014 I HIT VERY BY ANOTHER CAR THAT RAN THE RED LIGHT. THE GALANT WAS GOING AT A SPEED OF 55 MPH WHEN IT HIT ME, THE FORCE WAS GREAT THAT THE CARS THEN SMACKED TOGETHER AND SPRANG OUT AGAIN. I NOTICE THAT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY; SIDE OR EVEN FRONT. I CALLED MY PARENTS. THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL ARRIVED. FIVE MINUTES LATER MY PARENTS ARRIVED. THE JSO AND FHP THEN IGNORED ME FOR 20 MINUTES, WHILE THEY TALKED WITH THE OTHER DRIVER. DAMAGE WAS FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL WAS BENT SLIGHTLY IN-WARD AT AN ANGLE, AXLE ROD AND STRUT SHOT, WHEEL WELL HAD DE-WELDED FROM THE MAIN BODY. CRUMPLED AROUND THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL, DRIVER SIDE DOORS WHERE NOT DENTED BUT A SLIGHT WARP WAS IN THE DOORS SO THEY DID NOT COMPLETE TOP CLOSURE. REAR DRIVER SIDE LAMP AND BUMPER CRACKED/DETACHED. IN THE INTERIOR, THE CENTER CONSOLE WHERE THE GEAR SHIFT WAS HAD POPPED THE PLASTIC. MY VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PEARL COLLISION CENTER, WHO ESTIMATED THAT THEY COULD FIX THE DAMAGE. WHEN I QUESTIONED THIS, THE REPRESENTATIVE STATED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT TOTALED DUE TO DAMAGE WAS DEEMED 30% OF THE ACTUAL COST OF THE VEHICLE VALUE. I QUESTIONED WHY THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND IF THEY WOULD BE CHECKED. I WAS HIT PRETTY HARD AND WHY HAVE AIR BAGS FOR SAFETY IF THEY DON''T WORK. I ALSO QUESTIONED THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE.
