The passenger car door unlocks for no reason. It used to automatically lock when I start driving , now it starts to open and will not remain locked while driving, or when I lock my car door when I park. When I use the key fob the car alarm goes off and the door is still unlocked. This car has had a recall on the airbags. The light comes on once in a while. It was fixed by the Honda Dealership but recently, once in a while , the light still comes on. It is concerning . The air pressure warning light will remain on even after I have had my tires checked.
I had issues with the horn blowing itself when I made certain turns and when I took my car to Honda they told me the spacer between the horn and the airbag had disintegrated and they found no evidence of it even being in there they don't know what happened but there's no recall they're only fix unless I paid thousands of dollars to replace the airbag was unhook the horn now I'm having to drive around with a Honda with no horn because they say there's no recall on this
My husband was I voved in a accident where the other driver hit him in the front side of the bumper where one of the airbag indicators are located. We took the vehicle in for inspection of repairs and they told us that that airbag sensor was triggered which caused the airbag light to turn off. We are concerned because of the sensor was hit then why didn’t the airbags deploy?...it shows on the steering wheel the small part has been lifted where the airbag is but it didn’t fully deploy..this is a big safety issue ..the husband could have been seriously injured if this was a huge accident because the airbags should have deployed if the sensors was hit. The seatbelt is also not properly working which is also an indicator that the airbags are not working now. I need someone to get back to me with this issue to resolve this issue and fix my airbags

TURNED IN MY VEHICLE AND PROCURED RENTAL 4/08/16. RETURNED TO RENTAL COMPANY TO EXTEND RENTAL 5/25/16. PICKED-UP MY VEHICLE FROM DEALERSHIP 6/08/16. RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER FROM HONDA IN JULY 2016, THIS TIME RE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG RECALL. LETTER STATED "...PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALLS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN LATE SUMMER/FALL OF 2016. HONDA WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER LETTER WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE." THE LETTER ALSO WARNED NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FURTHER DOCUMENTATION RE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. TO SAY I AM FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY, AT THIS POINT, 5 MONTHS LATER, IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I HAVE BEEN THE OWNER OF 2 OTHER HONDA VEHICLES AND I MUST SAY, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I AM UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE, OR, LACK THEREOF, FROM HONDA. INTIAL LETTER STATES THE REPAIR ON RECALL SHOLD BE DONE WITHIN A RESAONABLE TIME FRAME OF 60 DAYS. IT HAS BEEN CLOSE TO 120 DAYS.
I RECEIVED MY FIRST RECALL LETTER NOTICE IN MARCH 2016, I CALLED THE DEALER IMMEDIATELY TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO CHANGE THE AIR BAG, BUT THEY SAID THEY WILL CALL ME BACK WHEN THE PART ARRIVED. I TOOK MY CAR TO A DEALER FOR OIL CHANGE IN JUNE, 2016 AND ASKED AGAIN ABOUT MY AIR BAG. THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THE AIR BAG ARRIVED. I RECEIVED THE SECOND RECALL LETTER IN JULY, 2016. I CALLED AND THEY SAID THEY WILL CALL ME BACK. I'VE BEEN CALLING COUPLE OF TIMES AFTER JULY, AND I HEARD THE SAME THING. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT TAKES TOO LONG, I HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS THAT CHANGED THEIR AIR BAGS IN A PERIOD NO LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER OPTION SINCE THE CAR IS MY MAINLY WAY OF TRANSPORTATION.
I BOUGHO MY CRV IN DECEMBER 2013 AND SERVICE THE CAR REGULARLY EVERY 3-4 MONTHS. THE POWER STEERING FLUID IS LEAKING AND THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTENS EACH TURN AND MAKES THE CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I SERVICE THE CAR TOLD ME THE EARLIEST THEY CAN LOOK AT IT IS IN 5 DAYS AND TO JUST KEEP PUTTING POWER STEERING FLUID. THE INSIDE FRONT LIGHT DOES NOT WORK WHEN OPENING THE DOOR, YOU NEED TO PUSH IT. THE KEY DOES NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS PROPERLY AND THE THEFT ALARM TRIGGERS ON FOR NO REASON AT ALL. SINCE THIS IS MY ONLY VEHICLE, I'M FRUSTRATED WITH THE PROBLEMS AND IT IS BECOMING EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR ESPECIALLY WHEN I SERVICE IT REGULARLY. REPS HAVE STATED THAT MY CASE #04965364 HAS BEEN APPOINTED A CASE MANAGER, BUT NO CASE MANAGER HAS EVER CONTACTED ME. SINCE 8/04/2016, I HAVE MADE THREE REQUESTS FOR ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION, BUT NO ONE FROM HONDA HAS CONTACTED ME TO EXPEDITE THIS REQUEST. I CALLED BACK IN JULY AND THEY WERE ON A TWO WEEK WAIT TO REPAIR THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. ON JULY 22, THEY LOANED ME A VEHICLE TO DRIVE IN THE INTERIM. ON AUGUST 8, THEY REPAIRED MY DRIVER AIRBAG BUT STILL DID NOT HAVE PARTS FOR THE RECALLED PASSENGER AIRBAG. THEY TOOK BACK THE LOANER AND SAID THAT ALL OF MY PASSENGERS NEED TO RIDE INT HE BACK SEAT UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT. THIS IS AN ABSURD SOLUTION FOR A FAMILY. I PURCHASED A FAMILY SIZED VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT MY LARGE FAMILY. I STARTED A CASE WITH HONDA CORPORATE THAT DAY AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REVIEW IT AND GET BACK TO ME IN 3 BUSINESS DAYS. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AFTER NOT HEARING FROM THEM AND FINALLY HEARD BACK FROM THEM TODAY, AUGUST 24. THEY WOULD NOT AUTHORIZE ANOTHER LOANER FOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL AND SAID THAT I COULD DRIVE THE UNSAFE VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER WEEK UNTIL THE PARTS CAME IN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH HONDA IS VERY POOR. I UNDERSTAND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE CALLING BECAUSE OF THIS RECALL BUT I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO PUT THEIR FAMILIES AT RISK. HONDA ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY, NOT THE PEOPLE. TO TELL A FAMILY THAT A GREAT SOLUTION IS FOR EVERY ONE TO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT IS NOT HELPING. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT A GOOD SOLUTION FOR US AS THERE ARE 4-5 PEOPLE RIDING IN THE CAR AT ALL TIMES. WE REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT RENTAL OR LOANER CAR FOR THE TIME BEING FROM HONDA (CASE NO 04958635). EVEN AFTER A MONTH, THEY HAVE NOT MADE A DECISION ON THIS AND ALL OUR INQUIRIES HAVE FALLEN ON DEAF EARS - THEY ALWAYS TELL US TO WAIT UNTIL A CASE MANAGER HAS REVIEWED THE CASE AND DECIDED ON WHAT TO DO. MY CAR DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED ME THAT OTHER VEHICLES SAME MODEL SAME YEAR HAVE HAD THEIR PASSENGER AIR BAGS REPLACED ALREADY. APPARENTLY THEY ARE IN ONE OF THE GOOD ZONES. YET I AM BEING TOLD BY BOTH THE DEALER AND HONDA THAT, EVEN THOUGH PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, MY CAR IS NOT ELIGIBLE. YET CARS IN STATES THAT BORDER MINE, INCLUDING PA AND OH ARE ABLE TO GET THEIR AIRBAG INFLATORS REPLACED. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE HUMIDITY EVERYWHERE IN PA IS HIGHER THAN EVERYWHERE IN NY. THE HUMIDITY IN MY AREA THIS SUMMER HAS BEEN IN THE 80'S AND 90'S. I FEEL THAT THESE "ZONES" ARE ARBITRARY, AND DESIGNED TO HELP HONDA RATHER THAN CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY ISSUES OF THE VEHICLE OWNERS. I WANT HONDA TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE NOW, OR AT LEAST PROVIDE ME WITH A SAFE LOANER VEHICLE. AS IT STANDS NOW, I CAN'T TAKE THE CHANCE OF ALLOWING ANYONE TO RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF THE VEHICLE. I AGAIN ASKED FOR A LOANER AND WAS TOLD AGAIN THEY DID NOT DO THAT. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE IT IN WRITING IN THE FIRST LETTER, I CALLED HONDA HEADQUARTERS, THEY SAID YES THEY WOULD INDEED HAVE TO SUPPLY ME WITH A LOANER. I CALLED DEALERSHIP AGAIN, THEY SAID NO. TAKATA RECALL. ON APRIL 29, 2016, I BROUGHT THIS CAR TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER. I WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL, THAT THIS CAR WAS DANGEROUS AND I SHOULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR. HOWEVER, THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER CAR, UNDER THE PROGRAM APPROVED BY HONDA MOTORS, AT NO COST TO ME. THEREFORE I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WAS REPAIRED. THIS WAS DONE ON AUGUST 12, 2016. AT THAT TIME I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD NO LONGER QUALIFY FOR A LOANER EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NOT REPAIRED THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG BECAUSE OF A LACK OF PARTS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS STILL DANGEROUS, HOWEVER, IN THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I DISCUSSED THIS WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, AND HE AND I BOTH AGREED THAT THIS WAS NOT AN ENTIRELY SATISFACTORY SOLUTION. BESIDES THE INCONVENIENCE OF NOT HAVING A USABLE PASSENGER SEAT, IF THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG DID DEPLOY, IT WOULD SEEM POSSIBLE THAT METAL PARTS COULD SCATTER THROUGHOUT THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. THUS, IT WOULDN'T MATTER WHETHER THERE WAS ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. PEOPLE COULD STILL BE INJURED, EVEN IN THE REAR SEATS. HONDA APPARENTLY WILL NOT PAY FOR A LOANER CAR, SINCE THE CAR IS NOW "DRIVABLE". UNTIL THE PASSENGER AIRBAG CAN BE REPAIRED, IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE PROPOSED SOLUTION BY HONDA "AVOID HAVING A PASSENGER SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT UNTIL RECALL IS REPAIRED" IS NOT A REALISTIC SOLUTION. I TRANSPORT MULTIPLE PASSENGERS AND NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. I CALLED HONDA AUTOMOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 7/26/16 TO REQUEST AN ALTERNATE VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD A CASE MANGER WOULD CALL ME WITHIN 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS. THEY ALSO STATED THEY WOULD ESCALATE MY REQUEST SO THAT I COULD GET A RESPONSE SOONER. I'VE MADE FOUR MORE CALLS SINCE THE INITIAL ONE WITH THE LATEST BEING ON 8/6/16. EACH TIME THE HONDA REP SAID THEY WOULD ESCALATE MY CASE FOR A QUICKER RESPONSE BUT CASE MANGERS ARE OVERLOADED. AS OF TODAY, 8/8/16, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE FIRST CALL FROM A CASE MANGER CONCERNING THE REQUEST FOR AN ALTERNATE VEHICLE. THIS IS TOTAL UNSAT AND I'M SURE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH HONDA. HONDA'S LACK OF PROPER PLANNING TO HANDLE THE RESPONSE TO THE SAFETY RECALL THEY SENT OUT IS CAUSING A HARDSHIP FOR THOSE THAT NEED TO USE THE PASSENGER'S SEAT. THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIX THE PASSENGER AIR BAG UNTIL IT COMES IN, BUT THEY ARE TAKING AWAY THE RENTAL AND TELLING ME TO HAVE NO ONE SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT. CROWN HONDA'S SERVICE ADVISOR (JAMES G. MCLAUGHLIN) TOLD ME THE PART(S) NECESSARY TO FIX MY CAR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE SUMMER 2016, BUT THAT I SHOULD NOT WORRY BECAUSE THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF EITHER MYSELF OR A PASSENGER IN MY VEHICLE SUFFERING ANY KIND OF HARM OR INJURY IS HIGHLY REMOTE. BUT WHILE DRIVING YESTERDAY I HEARD SOME UNUSUALLY WEIRD NOISES COMING FROM WHERE MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT AIRBAGS ARE LOCATED AND I WAS VERY FEARFUL OF AN AIRBAG INFLATOR FAILURE BECAUSE IT WAS A VERY HOT HUMID DAY. MY DEALER HAS REFUSED TO CONFIRM WHETHER MY VEHICLE WILL BE RECEIVING PRIORITY BECAUSE OF THE HIGH RISK ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH IT IS OPERATED. YESTERDAY I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA AT 1-888-234-2138 AND SPOKE WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP NAMED EMMIT LOCATED IN TORRANCE CA AND HE TOO WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHETHER MY VEHICLE WAS ON A PRIORITY LIST GIVEN ITS MUCH HIGHER RISK OF THE PART(S) FAILING. CALLED THE AMERICAN HONDA NUMBER, AGAIN-POOR RESULTS. I HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN THE BRAND, AND SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. I NEED A CAR TO GO TO WORK AND TRAVEL WITH THE FAMILY, WHO IS IN RISK OF DEADLY INJURY.
