Recall #UE3 2007-11 CR-V Rear Frame Brace safety recall
It is a 2007 Honda CRV . The whole rear and frame and control arm is completely rusted out and rusted into. Was told it is very unsafe to drive and dangerous. And I can’t get Honda to do anything about it .
I received a safety recall letter in June and brought the car to a dealership for inspection. After the inspection, they said that they can't fix it, and the car is dangerous to drive. I contact American Honda, and after almost a month in back and forth with American Honda and the dealership, the car is again inspected, and the report was sent to Amercian Honda on July 29. Since then, I had been waiting for American Honda resolve the problem. We had contacted them every week and they response are always the same, no updates on the case, and someone is going to call me back, and this doesn't happen. They know the car is risk to drive, and we told them about many times in the calls that I don't have another car and don't have money to buy a car, so I need this to be resolved.
Front passenger door when unlocked, locks back by itself. This is not safe because it makes it hard to get out of the vehicle because when you think it’s unlocked and try to get out you’re locked in. I checked to see if there was a recall because I normally get recall notices about other issues. I found that there was indeed a recall but it expired in 2015 which in honesty is not fair to those that have had their vehicles for sometime and during that time period…and never received a recall notification.
the car makes too much noises due to problem in suspension and rotted rear frames that supported the rear end and it is ready to fall out.
I am having door lock issues with all my locks on my car. It started with my front passenger and now both rear are also having issues. When I click the unlock button on the keyfob they unlock then lock again. Same with the unlock button on the drivers door. When I'm driving (accelerating), the drivers door will click as if it is trying to lock even though it already is.
This 2007 Honda CRV EX-L, involved spontaneous rear glass explosion as the vehicle was parked in the direct sun light. How is Honda handling these claims? Any help is appreciated.
My front passenger door lock is malfunctioning. When one tries to unlock the door, the lock immediately goes back to the lock position. It is easily demonstrated for inspection. It is unsafe for the passenger in case he needs to quickly exit the car in an emergency. After researching this problem today, I just learned that there was a class action suit against Honda concerning this issue and the plaintiffs won. But unfortunately for me the time period that Honda agreed to cover the cost of repairs expired in 2015. I purchased my pre-owned 2007 Honda CRV in 2016 and my passenger lock began malfunctioning in 2018. I looked up a recall on this issue but did not find one. I did not come across information on the law suit at that time.
Passenger Door Lock Actuators are not working properly on front passenger and rear doors. Doors may be unlocked from the outside or inside but will immediately lock again with 1-2 seconds. This is a major safety issue in the event of an emergency as one may be trapped in the car or not be able to get to a person in the car even once the doors are 'unlocked' they will only remain unlocked for 1-2 seconds. I do not feel safe nor do i feel safe having my wife or kids in the car as a result of this issue.
I had issues with the horn blowing itself when I made certain turns and when I took my car to Honda they told me the spacer between the horn and the airbag had disintegrated and they found no evidence of it even being in there they don't know what happened but there's no recall they're only fix unless I paid thousands of dollars to replace the airbag was unhook the horn now I'm having to drive around with a Honda with no horn because they say there's no recall on this
Hello, My vehicle's door motors or actuators are not working, specifically the driver side back door and the rear baggage door. This happened as we were trying to get into the vehicle while it was raining heavily on the side of the road due to an emergency toilet brake. This of course was frustrating as we were trying to get into the car and put stuff in the car, and put us in harms way of upcoming traffic because some of us could not get in. This problem has been rampant by Honda Motor company and they had a recall regarding this issue. There were no warning lights for this. We just heard a loud buzz when we tried to open the doors.
This vehicle was purchased used in 2018. Locks were working appropriately. Since then, all 3 locks besides the driver side have failed. I would be so appreciative if the recall would be honored and Honda would pay for the repair and labor to have these problems fixed. It is known to be a mechanical problem and no fault of my own.
I have a 2007 Honda CRV , I am the original owner. I have had issues with the locking system from the beginning. I brought it to the dealer and was told they couldn't find a problem. I went back for a recall and the dealer told me they didn't have the parts at the time. I should bring it back. My fault here, life got in my way (divorce, pandemic, etc.) I went back to the dealer, they replaced the drivers side door lock (still warenteed) but said the other locks were no longer under warrenty and it would cost approx 300$ for my passenger side lock. Additionally, they fixed the drivers side lock and now the trunk hatch won't open
The front passenger door locks by itself almost immediately after unlocking the door. The rear driver's side door makes a loud noise every time the doors are locked/unlocked.

I LIVE IN STATE WHICH BORDERS QUEBEC. WE HAVE A SIMILAR CLIMATE AND RELY HEAVILY ON ROAD SALT FOR WINTER ROAD DE-ICING. THE RECALL ISSUED BY TRANSPORT CANADA (# 2019025) IDENTIFIES THAT ROAD SALT CAN CAUSE THE REAR FRAME TO RUST. AND THIS CORROSION COULD POTENTIALLY RESULT IN A REAR-TRAILING ARM SEPARATING FROM THE VEHICLE. HONDA HAS PROVIDED A REMEDY. VEHICLES ARE INSPECTED TO ASCERTAIN THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. IN DECEMBER 2017 THE POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FAILED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER AND TAILGATE, SO THE DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED, EVEN MANUALLY. I HAD TO CRAWL ACROSS THE CENTER CONSOLE TO EXIT THE CAR. THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IF IT HAPPENED DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. WE WERE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT AT THE TIME. A RECALL HAD BEEN ORDERED AFTER A CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS FILED IN 2015, BUT ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS INCLUDED. THAT WAS REPLACED AND THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED FOR THE OTHER DOORS FOR ONLY 6 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SETTLEMENT. I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF REPLACING TWO ACTUATORS THAT WERE OBVIOUSLY FACTORY DEFECTS. HONDA REFUSES TO REIMBURSE ME OR REPLACE THE ACTUATORS ON THE OTHER TWO DOORS THAT WILL SOMEDAY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD BY THEM THAT WOULD ONLY PAY IF ORDERED TO DO SO BY A COURT.

IN JULY 2017, WHILE CAR IN PARK AND RUNNING, DASH AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON AS PASSENGER WAS PUTTING ON HER SEAT BELT AND REMAINED ON WHILE DRIVING UNTIL CAR ENGINE WAS SHUTOFF. UPON RESTARTING CAR, UNDER SAME CONDITIONS, AIRBAG SENSOR DID NOT COME ON AGAIN. ON 7/27/17 THIS ISSUE WAS EVALUATED BY THE SAME DEALER WITH TESTING REVEALING "FRONT PASSENGER WEIGHT SENSOR - INTERMITTENT FAILURE". TOLD REPAIR OF SUCH IS NOT PART OF AIR BAG SENSOR RECALL SINCE IT IS IN THE SEAT, STARTING WITH REPLACING SEAT SIDE ASSEMBLY WITH JUST THE PART COSTING APPROX $1100 + LABOR COST-UNKNOWN COST, ADVISED FOR SAFETY, TO AVOID UNEXPECTED AIR BAG DELOY, DO NOT HAVE PASSENGER IN FRONT SEAT IF AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT IS ON.

IN DECEMBER OF 2016 THE BACK DOOR LOCK ON THE DRIVERSIDE OF THE CAR STARTED MAKING A SCRATCHING SOUND UPON AUTOLOCKING. WHEN I HAD IT AT DEALER FOR AIRBAG RECALL FIX, THEY SAID ALL THEY DID IS LUBRICATE IT AS RECALL ONLY WAS FOR THEM TO FIX DRIVERS DOOR LOCK. NO IMPROVEMENT IN LOCK NOISE WHICH WORSENED TO THE POINT OF A HIGH PITCH SCREACHING SOUND LASTING 2 SECONDS AND NOT ONLY OCCURRED WHEN AUTOLOCKED WHEN MOVING CAR FROM PARK GEAR BUT WOULD SUDDENDLY OCCUR WHILE DRIVING WHEN TURNING OR STARTING UP FROM STOP LIGHT WHICH WAS VERY STARTLING AND DISTRACTING TO DRIVER. I CONTACTED HONDA IN MAY 2017 ABOUT ISSUE BUT THEY SAID EVEN THOUGH THEY COVERED THE OTHER 3 POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS AS PART OF THERECALL, THEY WONT COVER THIS REMAINING LOCK, CAR IS TOO OLD. THE ATTACHED SETTLEMENT DOCUMENT DOES STATE WARRENTY ON 4 OCCUPANT DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS BUT THEY ONLY PAID FOR 3. DUE TO THE PROGRESSIVELY WORSENING UNEXPECTED STARTLING LOUDNESS OF THE DOOR LOCK RIGHT BEHIND THE DRIVER, POSING A SAFETY RISK WHILE DRIVING, I HAD IT FIXED 6/27/2017, PAID $211.

I HAVE HAD A FEW INSTANCES WHERE MY 2007 HONDA CR-V MOVES IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND MY CAR ROLLS AFTER IT IS IN THE 'PARK' GEAR. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT I WAS NOT ON ANY HILL OR INCLINE AND THE LAND WAS FLAT. THESE INSTANCES TOOK PLACE ON A CITY STREET. ON JULY 23, 2016 I WAS LEAVING FROM WORK. I TURNED MY CAR ON AND PUT MY CAR INTO 'DRIVE' BUT IT STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS INSTEAD. I IMMEDIATELY PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND TURNED MY CAR OFF. AFTER DOING THIS, THE PROBLEM RESOLVED ITSELF. ON OCTOBER 6, 2016 I TURNED MY CAR ON AND PUT IT IN 'REVERSE' BUT MY CAR STARTED ROLLING FORWARD INSTEAD. I PUT THE GEAR INTO 'PARK' AND MY CAR KEPT ROLLING FORWARD! IN THIS RECALL, THE OUTER RACE OF THE SECONDARY SHAFT BEARING MAY BE BROKEN DURING CERTAIN DRIVING STYLES. AS A CONSEQUENCE, THE RECALL STATES: 'ADDITIONALLY, BROKEN PIECES OF THE OUTER RACE OR BALL BEARING FROM THE SECONDARY SHAFT MAY BECOME LODGED IN THE PARKING PAWL RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ROLLING AFTER THE DRIVER HAS PLACED THE GEAR SELECTOR IN THE PARK POSITION.' THE CLAIM PERIOD HAS SINCE ENDED, DESPITE THIS BEING AN ONGOING AND WIDESPREAD DEFECT, AND HONDA REFUSES TO COVER THE COSTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE. FURTHERMORE, THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY ISSUE, AS A PASSENGER COULD BE LOCKED IN THE CAR AT ANY TIME - INCLUDING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION IN WHICH THE CAR MAY BE ON FIRE. WHICH MAKES IT A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. ONE BY ONE, ALL THREE LOCKS EITHER LOCKED UP OR STARTED MAKING THE NOISE PROCEEDING THE LOCK UP ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO HONDA AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM, BUT SINCE MY WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED, THEY REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I FELT LIKE THE ISSUE WAS SO DANGEROUS, AS I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS WHO RIDE IN THE CAR DAILY, THAT I PAID TO HAVE THEM FIXED. NOW THE FRONT DRIVERSIDE DOOR AND BACK DOOR IS MAKING THE SAME NOISE AGAIN AND THE PROCESS IS BEGINNING AGAIN.
