Got this vehicle about a year and a half ago at full price from local dealership. It looks like it has been pieced together with many other hondas. The check engine light has been on ever since. The car keeps yet no camera. Just tried to get inspected. So far charged 2500 but was given a pass on inspection only for the light to come back on. I noticed on the back of repair paperwork this car has 2 airbag recalls. I feel duped I feel like this is attempted murder. I feel scared and sad. Something must be done with used car purchases

There was no incident involved. The airbags on passenger side are not working, according to alert on dash. I inherited this car from my deceased husband who purchased the car in Paramus, NJ. I thought this problem was fixed by the dealer at some point, but evidently was not. The car is now registered in NC, where I live. Thank you for any help you can give me to correct this problem.
1. Car got into an accident, another car hit my car front on... my Airbags never deployed but I side my front screen, it shows airbags deployed, and even button of airbags now flashes... 2. Seatbelt, malfunctions and got so tied on me that it was literally shocking me and then when I undid my seatblet, seatbelt shrunk and would not budge to work again to seatbelt myself and became short... 3. When car hit me from the front, all my brakes stopped working and my brake pedal went all the way to the floor... 4. When a car hit me, my car even overheated right away Overall problem: 1. Brakes went out after a car hit me 2. Car overheated 3. Seatbelt malfunction 4. Oil leak 5. Airbags didn't deploy but shows it did

I got into an accident and another car hot me and my seat belt got tight and now won't even come out anymore and my airbags never deployed but yet show on dashport as if it did and my airbag sign now flashes and it used to be just on off without flashing...
Car was sitting still in traffic on hwy. was hit directly from behind at 76 mph. The gas tank was crushed and car exploded into flames . Passenger could not be rescued. Left front panel hit, air bag did not inflate.
Air bag warning light had randomly come on/off 3-4 × for only a few hours since last airbag recall in 2018. Was so random and brief never gave it much thought. But it came on early July 2022 and stayed on. Took it in to Honda dealer Thurs July 14 for diagnostic check. Was told there was a defect in the passenger side/seat airbag and this was not a recall and would cost approx $900 to replace. Part on back order. Honda service rep stated that when the warning light is on none of the airbags are functional. I Did not order part on the 14th d/t considered buying another car which I quickly decided against. After picking up my car after hours on the 14th I notice the warning light is no longer on. After playing phone tag w/ dealer on Fri and Mon July 15,18 I drive to the dealership on 7-19 to order the part and to get answers on the warning light to no avail. I then call corporate Honda to make a claim asking to investigate this non wear and tear airbag defect. And after 2-3 weeks was told it is not a covered item. The rep also said that if the warning light was reset on the 14th it would come back on as soon as it detects the defect. Still Noone can determine whether or not I have any airbag protection. So I reach out here to request a safety investigation on this seemingly random NON WEAR / TEAR airbag defect. I feel there is a trend as there have already been 2 airbag recalls on my car. I feel this is a HUGE safety issue. Esp since I may or may not have full airbag protection on all the other airbags. The Honda dealer I originally took my car to has not returned any of my 3 calls I have made. (7-21,27,8-4) so I have made another appointment Aug 25 at another Honda dealer to run another diagnostic test to see if an airbag defect is detected; to decipher the light situation if I have airbag coverage or did the warning light bulb burn out? Please consider this a safety defect issue and assist me to get Honda to cover the cost.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V061000 (Air Bags). The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT ON THE DASH GOES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY FOR PAST 2 YEARS. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET INSPECTED ON 8/18/20. THIS WHAT WAS WAS EXPLAINED ON OUR PAPERWORK: FOUND DTC 32-10 OPEN IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR. PERFORMED STIMULATOR, FOUND DTC NOT RETURNING. FOUND INTERMITTENT FAILURE WITH FLOOR HARNESS. WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE STAFF THAT IF NOT REPAIRED THE AIRBAG COULD POSSIBLY FAIL.

THE DEALER BERNARDI HONDA IN NATICK, 960 WORCESTER ST, NATICK, MA 01760, (508) 319-5400 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS WAITING ON THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE WHEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY MAY HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS ASSIGNED A CASE WORKER WHO INFORMED THAT ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RELEASED FROM THE AUTO BODY SHOP IT WOULD BE TOWED TO A DEALER FOR A MECHANICAL AND COMPUTER ANALYSIS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

TAKATA RECALL- OUR 2010 CR-V WAS INVOLVED IN A 3-CAR ACCIDENT ON A CITY ROAD WITH SPEED LIMIT OF 35 MPH. A CAR ENTERING THE CITY STREET FROM ANOTHER ROAD CUT OFF THE DRIVER TRAVELING ON THE ROAD IN VEHICLE #1 AND V#1 CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP. THE CAR THAT ENTERED THE ROAD, SPED OFF AND WAS NOT HIT BY V#1. VEHICLE #2 REAR-ENDED V#1. OUR VEHICLE (V#3) REAR-ENDED VEHICLE #2. THERE IS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF OUR CR-V. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG WAS NOT DEPLOYED. THE POLICE OFFICER CALLED TO THE SCENE ALSO COMMENTED THAT HE WAS SURPRISED THAT THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THANKFULLY, OUR DAUGHTER DID NOT HIT THE STEERING WHEEL, BUT THE FORCE WAS SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH THAT WE ARE CONCERNED THAT THIS AIRBAG IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. WE WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALLS ON THESE AIRBAGS UNTIL WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION IN THE MAIL LITERALLY THE DAY FOLLOWING HER ACCIDENT. WE WOULD LIKE THE AIRBAG REPLACED IN CASE SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. WE DO NOT WANT TO HAVE OUR DAUGHTER DRIVING IN A CAR WITH KNOWN DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS.

ON 10/27/17 I WAS TRAVELING ON US RT 13SB AT APPROX 30 MPH WHEN I UNSUCCESSFULLY TRIED TO STOP AND REAR ENDED A 2008 GMC PICK UP TRUCK. MY FRONT END SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE BUT THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. BOTH THE EMT AND THE POLICE OFFICER NOTED THAT THE AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED GIVEN THE IMPACT OF THE ACCIDENT. I WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO KENT GENERAL HOSPITAL DOVER DE, WHERE I HAD A CT SCAN AND AN MRI AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A T1 COMPRESSION FRACTURE AND INJURY TO LIGAMENTS OF C1,2,3. I AM SCHEDULED TO SEE NEUROSURGEON 11/1/2017. MY CAR WAS TOWED TO CHAMBERS TOW CO VIOLA,DE 302-284-9655. I WILL ATTACH PHOTOS FOR DOCUMENTATION.

IT TOOK HONDA OVER 2 WEEKS AND A CALL TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHO THE MANUFACTURER WAS OF MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, AND THEY SAID IT WAS TAKATA, BUT THE NHTSA HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. NOW, THE DEALER COULD NOT TELL ME WHO MANUFACTURED THE AIRBAG NOR COULD THE 800 CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AT HONDA, IT TOOK A PHONE CALL TO CORPORATE TO FIND OUT, AND YET THE NHTSA HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLES PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG BASED ON VIN NUMBER. I GUESS THEY WILL WAIT UNTIL SOMONE GETS HURT, AND THEN ISSUE A RECALL.

TODAY, I WENT TO YOUR RECALL SITE, JUST CHECKING VEHICLES, ENTERED MY HONDA VIN, AND YOUR SITE STATES NO RECALLS FOR THAT CAR? HOW COME THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT DOES NOT SHOW UP? IS THAT BECAUSE I HAD IT REPLACED, AND YOU TRACK WHETHER A REPAIR WAS DONE TO MY CAR OR NOT? TAKATA INFLATORS HONDA MOTOR CORP, HAS AN ENGINEERING REPORT THAT SHOWED THE TAKATA INFLATORS ARE UNSAFE, BUT YET HONDA ONLY RECALLED MY DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. THEY HAVE NOT RECALLED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON MY VEHICLE. WHY HASN'T HONDA RECALLED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. THIS NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED TO TO CONFIRM WHICH PARTS ARE USED , AND HONDA DOES NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT INFLATOR OR PROPELLANT WAS USED ON MY CAR. THIS REMINDED ME THAT ABOUT A YEAR AGO MY DEALERSHIP SENT ME A LETTER ABOUT IT AND ASKED ME TO SIGN A FORM THAT SAID I WOULD NOT DRIVE MY CAR UNTIL THE AIRBAG WAS REPLACED IF I FORFEIT THE DAILY $15 THEY WOULD GIVE ME FOR TRANSPORTATION, WHICH WAS NOT A REASONABLE AMOUNT AT ALL. AT THAT TIME THEY HAD ME ON A WAITING LIST AND NEVER CONTACTED ME WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. I HAD CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO FOLLOW UP. I CALLED TODAY AND SAID I RECEIVED A LETTER NOTING THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS INVOLVED AND AWARE AND NOW SUDDENLY THEY HAVE THE PARTS? WE HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THEM. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, WE ARE IN THE RELATIVELY LOW-DANGER "ZONE C", BUT 14 MONTHS STILL SEEMS AN INORDINATELY LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR SO CRITICAL A SAFETY-RELATED REPAIR. TAKATA RECALL...HONDA'S MISLEADING INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING, DENIED TEMPORARY WORKAROUND FOR, AND LIABILITY RELEASE WAIVER REQUIREMENT.... IN MARCH 2016 I GET A LETTER FROM HONDA CORPORATE INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL THAT SAID DO NOTHING AND THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN PARTS WERE AVAILABLE IN SUMMER. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TODAY (AUGUST) TO FOLLOW UP, I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE I HADN'T CALLED THE DEALERSHIP IN MARCH, THEY NEVER ORDERED MY PARTS. I READ THEM THE LETTER, VERBATIM, AND ASKED WHERE DOES IT SAY I WAS SUPPOSE TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE YOU'D ORDER PARTS? REP HAD NO ANSWER. THE LETTER ALSO SPOKE OF A PROVISION FOR "TEMPORARY ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION," YET WHEN I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP WHAT THAT WAS ABOUT, I WAS TOLD THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT. I CALLED NATIONAL HONDA TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE LETTER THAT WOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP HAD "BEEN DELAYED" BUT THAT THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD HAVE OFFERED ME A LOANER. I CALLED BACK, AND WAS TOLD THAT TO GET A LOANER I MUST DRIVE THE UNSAFE CAR TO THEM TO HAVE THE MILEAGE VERIFIED, THEN, SIGN A WAIVER RELEASING HONDA FROM LIABILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENED WHEN I DROVE THAT UNSAFE CAR HOME. IF THE VEHICLE IS SO UNSAFE TO DRIVE THAT I MUST SIGN A WAIVER TO TAKE IT HOME, THEN WHY DO THEY REQUIRE ME TO DRIVE IT THERE SO THAT THEY CAN SEE HOW MANY MILES ARE ON IT? ALSO, TO PICK UP THE LOANER CAR, I'D NEED A PASSENGER TO DRIVE IT HOME WHILE I DROVE THE UNSAFE VEHICLE HOME, BUT THIS WOULD PUT THE PASSENGER AT RISK WHEN WE DROVE TO HONDA SO THAT THEY CAN SEE THE MILEAGE AND TO PICK UP THE LOANER CAR. THERE'S A RECALL FOR AIRBAG. UNABLE TO USE THE CAR BUT HONDA REFUSES TO PROVIDE ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION
I PURCHASED THIS CAR ON 3/26/10 BASED UPON PERFORMANCE RATINGS BOASTED BY HONDA. THERE HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURERS DEFECTS FROM THE START. CURRENTLY ABOUT 118,000 MILES. EARLY ON I STARTED HEARING PINGING SOUNDS UNDER THE HOOD. HONDA DEALER SAID I WAS LOW ON OIL, PUT A QUART IN, AND THE SOUND STOPPED. HE ADVISED TO PUT OIL IN WHENEVER THE SOUND OCCURRED. THIS WAS BEFORE MY FIRST OIL CHANGE. I CONTINUED TO ADD OIL AS THE SOUND RE-OCCURRED, 2-4 QUARTS BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. I REPEATEDLY QUESTIONED THE CONSUMPTION BUT NO MALFUNCTION WAS FOUND. JULY OF 2011 HONDA ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM WITH (TSB#11-033). IN NOVEMBER 2011, THE DEALER DID AN OIL CONSUMPTION SOFTWARE UPDATE. AT THIS TIME THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTINUAL COST FOR SYNTHETIC OIL REMAINED AND THE OIL LIGHT NEVER CAME ON. AN OIL CONSUMPTION RECALL ISSUED IN 2015. THE CAR FAILED THE OIL TEST HONDA DID REQUIRED SERVICE AS PER RECALL PROTOCOL. THE TECH INDICATED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. HONDA AGREED TO PAY 50% OF THE CC REPAIR. I DECLINED SINCE I HAVE NO MONEY FOR THIS DUE TO UNEMPLOYMENT, NOR SHOULD I PUT ONE CENT INTO A CAR THAT HAS BEEN DEFECTIVE FROM THE START. MY CAR WAS ALSO RECALLED FOR TAKATA AIRBAGS. HONDA PROVIDED A RENTAL CAR FOR 2.5 MONTHS. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND NOW THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, BRAKES MALFUNCTIONING AND COMPROMISED CC. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A CAR WITH A SUBSTANTIAL DEFECT FROM THE DAY ONE. I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS DOLLARS ON OIL. THERE HAVE BEEN TWO RECALLS. THE CAR IS NO LONGER SAFE OR DEPENDABLE DUE TO CC AND BRAKES. FIRST CALL WAS MARCH THEY SAID BY SUMMER THE PART WOULD BE IN. I CALLED IN JULY AND THEY SAID NOW IT WOULD NOT BE UNTIL FALL THAT IT COMES IN. I FINALLY HAD TO MAKE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA AND WITHIN A WEEK THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID THE PART WAS IN. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED. HOWEVER BECAUSE THEY REQUIRED ME TO SIGN A PAPER SAYING I WOULD KEEP THE CAR PARKED AND NOT DRIVE IT, MY BREAK ROTORS FRONT AND REAR GOT VERY RUSTY. THE CAR SHAKES AND SHIMMIES WHEN BRAKING NOW. THE DEALER SAID THE ROTORS NEED RESURFACED. BUT THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $420 TO DO THAT WORK. I FEEL HONDA SHOULD PAY FOR IT SINCE IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT I HAD TO LET THE CAR SIT FOR 4 MONTHS. DESPITE BEING AWARE OF THE ISSUE, HONDA IS PRESENTLY REFUSING TO SERVICE THE VEHICLES OR TO PROVIDE RENTAL OR LOANER VEHICLES; INSTEAD, THEY ARE SIMPLY ADVISING INDIVIDUALS NOT TO SIT IN THE FRONT-PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT (MONTHS FROM NOW). THIS IS COMPLETELY AND HORRIBLY UNACCEPTABLE; THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY RESULTED IN NUMEROUS FATALITIES AND HONDA IS EXERCISING WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE IN SENDING THESE VEHICLES BACK OUT ON THE ROAD. TAKATA RECALL - THE DRIVER OF OUR RECALLED CAR IS 17 YRS. OLD. WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO GET A LOANER/RENTAL SO WE CAN PLACE HIM IN A SAFE CAR UNTIL THE NEW AIRBAG IS AVAILABLE. RECALL AIR BAG INFLATOR DEFECT. I RECEIVED RECALL LETTER WHICH STATES THAT: "PAST RUPTURES HIKE THIS HAVE KILLED AND INJURED VEHICLE DRIVERS. THE LETTER ALSO STATES THAT REPLACEMENT PART FOR RECALL IS NOT AVAILABLE AND "WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE SUMMER OF 2016". I DO NOT FEEL SAFE, I ASKED FOR A COURTESY VEHICLE SIMILAR TO MY OWN CRV, WHICH I NEED SPECIFICALLY FOR A FAMILY MEMBER 'S NEEDS. THE HONDA OF TOMS RIVER DO NOT HAVE ANY COURTESY CARS AVAILABLE AND WILL ONLY ALLOW A RENTAL WHICH THEY GET FROM ENTERPRISE. THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE SECURITY DEPOSIT AND THEY WOULD ONLY PAY UP $35 PER DAY, (BUT ENTERPRIZE HAS NO RENTALS AT THAT PRICE, AS PER ENTERPRISE) AND THEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD UP IT TO $44 BUT THAT DOES NOT ALLOW ME A SIMILAR VEHICLE WHICH I SPECIFICALLY NEED FOR FAMILY MEMBER. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO CORPORATE SPENDING HOURS OVER 2 DAYS, I WENT TO TOMS RIVER HONDAY, GOT A COMPLETE RUN AROUND WASTING ANOTHER HALF DAY, AND LEFT THERE WITH MY OWN VEHICAL WITH A RECALL FOR AIR BAG INFLATOR THAT CAN KILL ME, AS I WAIT FOR PARTS TO COME IN SOMETIME THIS SUMMER. I AM ATTACHING THE NOTICE WHICH SUPPORTS MY STATEMENTS ABOVE. I DID SPEAK TO THE MANAGER THERE, RICH HOFFMAN.
