Case #16014967 Topic: Recalls/Campaigns VIN: [XXX] Vehicle Mileage: 64,935 Description: Subject: Transmission Recall Concern – 2015 Honda CR-V CVT Dear American Honda Customer Service / NHTSA, I am reporting transmission problems with my 2015 Honda CR-V that appear directly related to the CVT transmission recall and service bulletin for 2015–2016 models. Timeline of Events: • Aug 25, 2025: Vehicle lost battery charge despite a new battery; AAA confirmed battery was good but required a jump. • Oct 29, 2025: Battery failed again; required another jump. • Nov 30, 2025: Battery dead once more; AAA again confirmed battery was good but not charging. After replacement, the car stalled mid-road, “D” light disappeared, and only restarting allowed me to move briefly. • Dec 1, 2025: Mechanic confirmed transmission fluid was fine. Shortly after, vehicle experienced jolts, “D” light disappeared, and car stalled completely near home. It would only move in reverse and had to be rolled back to the mechanic. Diagnostic Results: • P0741 – Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance/Stuck Off • P0780 – Shift Malfunction • P0746 – Pressure Control Solenoid A Performance/Stuck Off • P1898 – CVT Drive Pulley Pressure Control Valve Stuck ON/OFF These codes match known CVT transmission issues documented by Honda, including hydraulic pressure regulation failures and belt slippage. My vehicle has never received recall updates or PCM reprogramming, yet it is now showing the exact failures described in Honda’s bulletin. Although my VIN does not currently appear in Honda’s recall database, I request that Honda review my case and extend recall or goodwill coverage, as the defect is clearly present and poses a serious safety risk. I also ask NHTSA to record this complaint since my vehicle is excluded despite being the same year/model with identical failures. The frame on my Wisconsin-owned vehicle has rotted out to the point I am unable to safely have it repaired. The control arm simple pulled out of the frame as the frame was so rusted. The shop says they cannot in good conscience repair it. The manufacturer has recalled frames for this issue, but mine is apparently not included. Honda has refused to help.
While driving at normal speed, the vehicle suddenly began to shudder and produce unusual mechanical noise. Within seconds, the car lost all ability to accelerate despite pressing the gas pedal. The vehicle lost power in live traffic and had to be coasted to the side of the road. There were no warning lights, no error codes, and no fluid leaks. This was a sudden, dangerous failure. A family member who is a new driver was operating the vehicle at the time, with passengers on board. This created a serious safety risk to both my family and surrounding drivers. The situation could have resulted in a serious accident if it had occurred on a highway instead of a city street. The problem was diagnosed by a trusted independent repair shop as a complete internal failure of the CVT transmission. They confirmed the component failure occurred without any external damage or signs of neglect. The transmission had to be replaced at significant cost. The component has not been inspected by Honda. However, I have dashcam video showing the moment of failure, including the vehicle shuddering, power loss, and driver reaction. The video clearly shows the dangerous nature of the incident and is available for inspection upon request. To my knowledge, this is a known issue affecting this generation of Honda CR-Vs with CVT transmissions. Honda refused reimbursement assistance despite full documentation, citing the vehicle being out of warranty — even though this is the type of premature mechanical failure their Goodwill Assistance policy is supposed to address. No warning lamps, messages, or prior symptoms appeared before the failure.
the car intermittently will not start. I had the starter replaced and that fixed the problem for a little while now it is back. My mechanic cleaned all the connectors and replaced them which worked for a couple of days now it intermittently will not start again. This seems to be a known problem with the 2015 CRV. Why isn't Honda addressing the issue?
Instrument panel lights Check engine light, TPMS, VAS, EPS lights come on. Had the car serviced. Lights comes on after driving for the while they turn off. Occurred 5 times in the last month.
There are no lights on the dashboard indicating a problem, but the smell of gasoline in the car is very strong while driving I have researched and found there are complaints of the same issue, but researching a recall for my car shows zero recalls for my Vin number.
I broke down on the road the car was still on but was not moving at any direction.
The center dash display has a compass. It blinks nonstop and is very distracting—especially at night. I have asked my Honda dealership about safety recalls or software updates several times, and have been told that there are not any updates or fixes. I feel this is a safety issue mainly due to the distraction caused by the constant blinking and not knowing if the direction is actually correct.
I purchased a 2015 Honda CR-V on 01/16/2024. The suv has been blowing hot air for the last 2 weeks. I took the suv to a Mechanic Shop. They input freon. The suv started making loud noises. It was throwing the freon all over the engine. I was warned that the sludge would damage the engine and belts. I was told not to push the A/C button since lots of damage can happen. The repair is $2800.
Engine start failure. Intermittent you never know when it will happen. Several times the car just will not crank you push the button and all you get is a click. Has not been taken to a dealer or service center because this is a known Honda issue. It has been reported multiple times. You will be stranded in the middle of the night or midday it makes no difference you cannot get to an appointment or an emergency if needed. Causes great inconvenience when you are needed to be at an appointment at a certain time in your car will not crank at random times
My vehicle has had multiple parasitic battery events where the battery has been completely drained overnight. I have replaced the battery six times since May of 2022. I took my vehicle to my auto repair shop and they checked every fuse in the vehicle and could not find the problem. The shop called the Honda Dealer service center to get advice on what the problem might be and the dealer was unable to provide any recommended solution. I suspect the problem has something to do with a faulty automatic door lock/unlock system. When I approach the vehicle with my key fob, the vehicle will unlock the doors without me touching the door handle. When I get out of the car and push the button on the door handle to lock the doors it does lock, however as I walk away from the car, the doors unlock without me touching the door handle or any part of the car.
While traveling with my wife, going north bound on 7th Ave, Oroville, Ca, at 1:30pm, March 27, 2023, at 40 mph, we heard an extremely loud bang, as if we were hit by a baseball bat, or something had collided with us. Weather was clear, scattered clouds and temperature was around 60 degrees. We had no A/C or heat on with drivers side window open about 1 inch. Road was smooth, no potholes or bumps. There was a truck oncoming, towards us in opposite lane, but had not yet passed us when we heard "bang". I pulled over and assessed what it was. Upon looking up, was surprised to see and hear the sunroof glass shattering. I had a roll of electrical tape and quickly used it to hopefully stop glass from falling into car. I drove very carefully home with sunroof shade closed. Upon arriving at home, I proceeded to use clear box tape and secured both top and bottom, of still cracking glass, and at this current time, remains so. As of this date, Honda is back ordered for this glass and is stating it will be 2 months until available.
I bought this vehicle new. We have 2 key fobs and change the batteries in them when necessary. The past year, a new occurrence developed: one fob will lock the doors but not always allow them to be unlocked. I tried unlocking the doors from inside the car, using the lock/unlock on the driver's arm rest (the windows were open) but they would not unlock. I had to get the other fob to unlock the doors. This scares me!!! I called Honda but was told there have been no reported similar issues, and they told me to go to a dealer. Because the issue doesn't always happen, I can't guarantee the fob will not work when the dealer has the car. I would appreciate advice as to how to handle this issue. Many thanks!
While driving during clear weather and around no highway overpasses, the sunroof on our Honda CRV spontaneously shattered. No evidence of an object or projectile were found.
In June 2016, my Honda CR-V 2015 broke down, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was towed to a Honda Dealership - Diamond Bar, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2138, did not solve the problem, and sent me home. The vehicle broke down once again, only for them to claim again that they could not recreate the problem. The vehicle had 12,000 miles on it at this time. I filed a complained with the NHTSA at this time. In September 2017, my Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was towed to a Honda Dealership - Alhambra, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2647 and fixed the issue. The vehicle had 35,000 miles on it at this time. Now, in August 2021, my Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was driven to a local mechanic, where he diagnosed the car to have 4 OBII codes and recommended taking it to a Honda. I took it to a Honda Dealership - Buena Park, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2128 only, said they don't take recommendations from other mechanics, and replaced in the APP Sensor and gas pedal. The vehicle had 83,000 miles on it at this time. Only 1 week later, My Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. My ODII code diagnosed the issue as a P2138 - the exact same code diagnosed and not fixed by Honda - Diamond Bar, CA back in 2016. When I called Honda Buena Park about the car breaking down again, they stated they will charge me another $150 diagnosis fee to look at it again. The above codes have the same issues over and over again, and I believe this vehicle should have a recall with no individual/franchise dealership willing to bite the bullet, looking to yank customer's chains to make the most amount of money for simple fixes. Car won’t start just clicks. Read that this could be related to an engine recall that I had fixed by Honda.
The car going uphill started stuttering then started losing speed. When hitting the gas its wouldn't do anything til car came to a complete stop, the gas wouldn't do anything. So we powered the car off and on again and then it worked. Until later that day while trying to accelerate the car again started stuttering losing speed and wouldn't respond to anything to make it go. Until we turned the car back off then on again. The car has also been thru 5 batteries in 5 years.
I purchased this vehicle on 10-9-20, and in late January or early February, I pushed the start button, and it clicked. Then, on the second try, it started. It has gotten progressively worse. It took about 10 minutes of trying at one point yesterday before it started. When this happens, it can start on the first try the next several times before it starts having trouble again. A friend has a Honda Fit, and had the same issues. The dealer replaced the starter, and that worked for a bit, then she had the starter button replaced, and hasn't had issues since. Some time after this, she received a recall notice for the button, and is now waiting on reimbursement. I'm wondering if there will be a recall on the CR-V as well, but currently, I see that there are no unrepaired recalls on this vehicle.

RIGHT FRONT DOOR WINDOW EXPLODED ON THE HIGHWAY AND SHATTERED GLASS IN HUNDREDS OF PIECES CAME INTO THE CAR. I REPLACED THE WINDOW AT A GLASS COMPANY. HONDA HAD A RECALL OF FRONT DOOR GLASS IN 2011 ON THE ODYSSEY-WONDER IF THIS IS THE SAME GLASS.

IN JUNE OF 2015, I PURCHASED MY 2015 CR-V FROM J.P. THIBODEAUX IN NEW IBERIA, LA. IN AUGUST, I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION AT IDLE. HONDA PERFORMED 2 MANUFACTURER UPDATES BUT MY VEHICLE STILL VIBRATES. WHEN I AM AT A RED LIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE VIBRATES EXCESSIVELY WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN. LAST YEAR WE LEASED A NEW 2015 HONDA CRV EXPECTING THE SAME QUALITY EXPERIENCE OF OUR PREVIOUS CARS. THE VIBRATION ISSUE THAT EVERYONE IS REPORTING WAS NOTICEABLE THE FIRST DAY OF DRIVING THE CAR AND IT IS HORRIBLE, BUT IT IS ALSO THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES AT THE MOMENT. I HAD THE FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE OF PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT A VERY LOW SPEED, BRAKING, AND THE CAR SUDDENLY GOING FORWARD SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. I RAN OVER A SIGN AND HIT A COWORKERS CAR WHILE TRYING TO STOP THE CAR (AS I CIRCLED TO THE LEFT). THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED WHEN I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND BRAKED AGAIN. HAD THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TOWED TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE I GOT IT. ALMOST A MONTH LATER THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME AND HONDA REPORTED THEY ALLEGEDLY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. I HAD TO ASSUME THEY WERE RIGHT AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING I DID WRONG BECAUSE I HAD NO PROOF OTHERWISE. RELUCTANTLY I STARTED DRIVING THE CAR AGAIN. WELL THIS PAST WEEK MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR IN VERY SLOW TRAFFIC ON A BACK ROAD AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO HER. SHE STOPPED THE CAR AND THE CAR PROCEEDED TO GO FORWARD EVEN THOUGH HER FOOT WAS FULLY ON THE BRAKE. THIS TIME SHE HIT THE TRAILER HITCH OF THE LARGE CAR IN FRONT OF HER IN LINE. WE CALLED AMERICAN HONDA AGAIN AND STATED WE DO NOT WANT THIS CAR ANY LONGER. WE WOULD EVEN BE WILLING TO TRADE IT FOR ANOTHER MODEL AND YEAR. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT UNLESS WE HAVE "PROOF" THAT THIS IS HAPPENING, THERE IS NOTHING THEY ARE WILLING TO DO. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO US! WHAT IF THE NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS, THE DRIVER IS STOPPED FOR PEDESTRIANS IN A CROSS WALK AND THE CAR LURCHES AHEAD AND HITS AND SERIOUSLY INJURES OR KILLS A PEDESTRIAN?? CURRENTLY FEELING BETRAYED BY THE BRAND THAT WE HAVE STOOD BY FOR YEARS, BECAUSE THEY ARE UNWILLING TO REMOVE A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE CAR FROM THE STREETS.

MY 2015 HONDA CRV WHICH I BOUGHT NEW IN SEP 2015 HAS FRONT END VIBRATION PROBLEMS. FIRST IT IDLED ROUGH WHILE IN GEAR STOPPED AND RPM AT 600. I RETURNED THE CRV TO THE DEALER AND THIS PROBLEM WAS REPAIRED IN OCT 2015. SECOND, MY CRV VIBRATES IN THE FRONT END AND STEERING WHEEL AT SPEEDS OF 70 - 80 MPH. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES AND THE TIRES WERE BALANCED AND VIBRATION CONTINUED. ON THE SECOND (NOV 2015( AND THIRD (APR 2016) VISIT, THE DEALER PERFORMED A "ROAD FORCE BALANCE" AND THAT ONLY REDUCED THE VIBRATION ABOUT 50%. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THERE IS NO FIX TO THIS VIBRATION ISSUE AND THAT THE VIBRATION IS A "CHARACTERISTIC" OF THIS VEHICLE AND SIMILAR VEHICLES. HE ALSO STATED EVERY VEHICLE HAS QUIRKS. IN OTHER WORDS, I'M STUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM. HAD I KNOWN ABOUT THIS BEFORE PURCHASING THE CRV, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I ONLY HAVE 5200 MILES ON MY CRV.

THE TPMS TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM IS GIVING FALSE POSITIVE ALARMS WHEN DOWN IN FLORIDA. THE TEMPERATURES ARE HIGHER BUT WHEN CHECKED THE PRESSURES ARE AS SPECIFIED ON DRIVER SIDE DOOR. WHEN RESET IT IS OK FOR A FEW DAYS....THEN A REPEAT. I BELIEVE THE MONITOR IS TOO SENSITIVE TO PRESSURE INCREASES. IF THE PRESSURE IS RIGHT ON AT 72-75 DEGREES IT SHOULD BE WELL WITHIN SPECS AT 85. BOTH PARKED IN HOT LOT AND DRIVING.

APPARENTLY, WE WERE THE FIRST CUSTOMER AT THIS DEALERSHIP TO EXPERIENCE THE SHAKING AND IT WAS PRIOR TO THE RECALL. THEY KEPT TELLING US THERE WASN'T AN ISSUE. I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR, WHICH WAS STOPPED, BUT SHAKING, LUNGED FORWARD AND BUMPED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR MANY YEARS AND I DO NOT TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT UNTIL THE LIGHT CHANGES AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STARTS TO MOVE. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. IT FELT LIKE THE CAR WAS POSSESSED. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME I DID SOME INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. WE HAD TO RUN THE ACCIDENT THROUGH OUR INSURANCE, WHICH RESULTED IN ALMOST $1000 DAMAGE TO THE OTHER CAR (MOSTLY DUE TO THE LICENSE PLATE IMPRINT ON HIS CAR. I THOUGHT BUMPERS WERE SUPPOSED TO JUST BUMP. DON'T KNOW WHY THERE IS A LICENSE PLATE FRAME IN THE WAY.) FORTUNATELY, WE WERE BOTH OKAY, BUT I HOPE THIS GETS RESOLVED SOON SO THAT NO ONE GETS INJURED. THE VERY NEXT DAY VEHICLE BEGAN EXTENSIVELY VIBRATING WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, WITH THE VEHICLE ENGAGED IN THE DRIVE GEAR AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED. I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT THE RPM'S DROPPED BELOW 500-600. THE VIBRATION IS FELT IN BOTH THE DRIVERS AND PASSENGER SEATS, BUT MORE SO IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT. IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO STALL OUT. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AS I HAVE THE CONSTANT FEAR THAT IT IS GOING TO STALL OUT AT ANY GIVEN TIME. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL INSTALLED NEW RADIATOR LOWER CUSHIONS, A NEW TRANSMISSION MOUNT, AND NEW FRONT HEAD RESTRAINTS. THE REPAIRS FAILED TO ELIMINATE THE VIBRATION.AFTER FEW DAYS I AGAIN BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER ON DUTY TOLD ME THAT WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING MORE THAN THIS AND STATE THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM SO THEY HAVE BEEN OF NO HELP. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY HONDA, BUT IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THEY ARE MERELY BRUSHING IT OFF IN HOPES THAT THE COMPLAINTS WILL STOP. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS SAYING THAT CORPORATE PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON IT BUT NO RESULTS I SPENT 25,000 DOLLARS ON THIS VEHICLE AND WOULD EXPECT THE VEHICLE TO RUN GOOD CONDITION

MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED THE 2015 CR-V EX-L AWD ON JANUARY 5 2016 AT STATEN ISLAND HONDA. AFTER ONLY 11 DAYS AND 300 MILES ON VEHICLE AS WE WERE DRIVING FOR A SKI VACATION I NOTICED A CRACKLING NOISE WHEN I WOULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN EITHER DIRECTION. I THEN NOTICED THAT NONE OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WORKED OR THE RADIO. IN ADDITION TO THIS MY HORN DIDNT WORK AND MY BLUETOOTH WOULD CONSTANTLY SAY (HTC IS OK ) BOTH MY RADIO INTERFACE SCREENS WOULD ALWAYS FLASH DIFFERENT MAINTENANCE MALFUNCTIONS. MY CELLPHONE WOULD ALSO RANDOMLY CONNECT AND MAKE CALLS. THEN AS I WAS DRIVING TO GET GAS OFF THE NJ TURNPIKE MY HORN STARTED TO GO OFF NON STOP AND I HAD TO PULL THE HORN FUSE OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I ALSO NOTICED A VERY STRONG VIBRATION WHEN VEHICLE IS IDLE AND STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AND NOW SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE . OUR VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FROM JANUARY 19-21 AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THEY REPLACED THE FUSES AND THE CABLE REEL AND SAID THE VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. I DID SOME FURTHER RESEARCH AND THERE IS A LAWSUIT AGAINST HONDA IN REGARDS TO THE 2015 CR-V VIBRATION ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND FEEL THAT I WAS SOLD A $30K LEMON . I HAVE OWNED HONDAS IN THE PAST WITH NO ISSUES BUT AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE AND HONDA BEING AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND STILL SOLD THESE TRUCKS THE COMPANY HAS LOST MY TRUST. WHEN GOING THROUGH MY DOCUMENTS I NOTICED THAT I WAS MISSING ALOT OF PAPERWORK FROM MY SALES CONTRACT AND I BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE. AT FIRST HE SAID HE GAVE US EVERYTHING AND THEN REALIZED HE DIDNT BUT DIDNT HAVE ACCESS TO THE FILE ROOM TO GIVE US THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS. HE STATED HE WOULD GET BACK TO US AND NEVER DID. THE FIRST SERVICE WAS ON 1/7/16 WITH 136 MILAGES AND THE SECOND SERVICE WAS ON 1/19/16 WITH 678 MILAGES WITH NO RESOLUTION. WHEN I DRIVE TO WORK, THE VIBRATION AND SHAKING CAUSE MY BODY GET NAUSEATED AND HEADACHES.

AT THE END OF THE HILL, THE FINAL LUNGE AND ACCELERATION IS DANGEROUS IF THERE IS A STOP SIGN AT THE END AS THE VEHICLE IS ACCELERATING. HONDA CLAIMS THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS SUPPOSED TO WORK LIKE THAT. I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE AND DO NOT WANT TO BE A STATISTIC IN ORDER FOR HONDA CORPORATION TO FIX IT. THE TECHNICIANS INDICATED THAT THE ISSUE WAS THOUGHT TO BE RELATED TO "HARMONIC DISTORTIONS" ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE DRIVE TRAIN, FOUND IN THE HONDA ACCORD, IN THE 2015 CR-V. THE HONDA TECHNICIANS OFFERED ASSURANCES THAT THERE WERE NO SAFETY ISSUES. I THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DIFFERENT DEALER WHO CHECKED THE SAME MECHANICAL PARAMETERS INCLUDING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. AS I EASED INTO THE PARKING SPACE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, MY CAR SUDDENLY LURCHED FORWARD. IT WAS WITH SUCH FORCE THAT THE ENTIRE CAR WENT UP ONTO THE CURB AND INTO THE BUSHES BEYOND. I COULD NOT STOP MY CAR! BEYOND THESE BUSHES WAS A MAIN ROAD WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC. INTUITIVELY, I SLAMMED ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, WHICH ULTIMATELY STOPPED THE CAR. MY CAR WAS SO ENTANGLED IN THE BUSHES THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE IT TOWED OUT. ON JULY 21, THE HONDA DEALER SCANNED ALL SYSTEMS FOR DTCS, TESTED BRAKES, AND CHECKED THROTTLE PEDAL OPERATION AND FOUND AT THIS TIME THE BRAKING SYSTEM, THROTTLE SYSTEM AND SAFETY OVERRIDE SYSTEMS ARE FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT IS APPARENT THAT UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE BRAKING IS A WELL-DOCUMENTED ISSUE. I CONTACTED HONDA CORP ON JULY 21 AND WAS ASSIGNED A REGIONAL CASE MGR WHO INFORMED ME THAT SHE WOULD SCHEDULE AN AMERICAN HONDA REP TO INSPECT MY CAR. TO DATE, I STILL AWAIT FOLLOW UP ACTION FROM MY CASE MGR. THIS EVENT HAS CAUSED, AND CONTINUES TO CAUSE, GREAT ANXIETY AND STRESS FOR ME. THEY IMMEDIATELY SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS A WHEEL ALIGNMENT ISSUE. LATER THAT AFTERNOON, WHEN I PICKED UP THE CRV, I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS AND THAT IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE. I GET NO RESOLUTION WHEN I GO IN FOR SERVICE, IT ONLY GETS WORSE AND MUMS THE WORD WITH HONDA THE ONLY THING THEY SAY IS'T THE NEW TRANSMISSION...... THAT A PILE OF YOU KNOW WHAT. I KNOW CARS, AND WORKED IN DEALERSHIP BEFORE, THERE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM HERE

SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED MY 2015 CR-V I NOTICED A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN THE RPMS WERE BETWEEN 1,000 - 1,200 AND MY FOOT WAS ON THE GAS. THE VIBRATION DISAPPEARED WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS. I ALSO NOTICED AN INCREASE IN THE RPMS TO 3,000 WHEN GOING DOWNHILL WITH MY FOOT OFF OR ON THE BRAKE AND A LOUD HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CAR DOES VIBRATE WHEN IDLING AT A RED LIGHT BUT NOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS YET. I ONLY HAVE 1,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND WAS ALSO TOLD BY MY HONDA DEALERSHIP THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND DOESN'T HAVE A FIX YET. I HAVE OWNED HONDAS SINCE 1986 (ACCORDS) AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS LIKE THE ONES ON THE CR-V. I AM BEGINNING TO REGRET BUYING THIS VEHICLE AND AGREE THAT HONDA SHOULD DEFINITELY COMPENSATE CR-V OWNERS ASAP. I'M BEGINNING TO WORRY MORE ABOUT ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS AS THE CAR GETS OLDER WITH MORE MILEAGE. HAVEN'T HAD IT ON THE HIGHWAY YET BUT AM WORRIED ABOUT SIMILAR PROBLEMS OTHER CR-V OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED.

WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AT IDLE WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL ENGAGED A SERIOUS VIBRATION DEVELOPS. AS THE VEHICLE SETS THE VIBRATION INCREASES AND THE RPM'S DROP FROM APPX.. 600 RPM TO BELOW 200P RPM. . WHEN THE RPM'S RECOVER THE VEHICLE PULLS AGAINST THE BREAKS. WHEN I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE BREAK PEDAL THE VIBRATION STOPS. YESTERDAY (5/19/2015) WHILE STOPPED, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED VIOLENTLY AND THEN DIESLED AND STALLED WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE FULL STALL WAS A ONE TIME OCCURRENCE HOWEVER THE VEHICLE OFTEN APPROACHES A STALL WHILE STOPPED WITH THE BRAKE . THE VIBRATION HAS BEEN PRESENT SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER 2014. WHEN I TOOK IT TO GERMAINE HONDA, THE SELLING DEALERSHIP, IN ANN ARBOR, I WAS TOLD THAT THE VIBRATION IS A "CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE VEHICLE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A FLIMSY EXCUSE AND QUITE FRANKLY PROBLEM IS BEGINNING TO WORRY ME. THE STALL WAS SERIOUS AND IN TRAFFIC. THE VIBRATION IS VERY PRONOUNCED AND TRAVELS THROUGHOUT THE CHASSIS. I HAVE READ ON THE HONDA CR-V OWNER FORUM THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THAT HONDA MOTORS AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS ARE SIMPLY IGNORING THE SITUATION. I WILL TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AGAIN NEXT WEEK . THANK YOU

VEHICLE VIBRATES DURING MILD ACCELERATION IN THE 2000RPM AREA. STEERING WHEEL VISIBLY SHAKES. HAVE TAKEN CAR TO DEALER AND SPOKEN TO AMERICAN HONDA. AT FIRST, THEY SAID THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE ISSUE YET. NOW THEY SEEM TO HAVE SHIFTED THEIR RESPONSE TO "THIS IS A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC". IF I HAD BEEN TOLD THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, I OBVIOUSLY WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE PROBLEM FOR A $32000 CAR. I CAN IMAGINE THE DEPRECIATION FROM THIS WILL BE SUBSTANTIAL. I ASKED AMERICAN HONDA FOR MY MONEY BACK AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT BECAUSE IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE AND DOESN'T AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE.

I WAS DRIVING AND EVERY TIME I STOPPED AT A RED-LIGHT WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER OFF, THE CAR WOULD VIBRATE SO MUCH THE SEAT NEXT TO ME WOULD VISIBLY SHAKE. I ALSO FELT MY SEAT AND STEERING WHEEL SHAKE A LOT. NOT JUST TO THE EXTENT THAT A NORMAL VEHICLE WOULD, BUT A LOT! I LITERALLY FELT THE VIBRATIONS THROUGHOUT MY BODY. THIS IS A BRAND NEW 2015 HONDA CRV EX AND IS NOT AT ALL NORMAL. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY HONDAS AND NONE OF THEM HAVE DONE THIS. EVEN MY 13 YEAR OLD HONDA PILOT DOES NOT DO THIS.

MY 2015 CRV HAS A CONSISTENT SHUDDER AND VIBRATION THAT CAN BE FELT THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL AND SEAT WHILE DRIVING. IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE AT 1000 RPM'S AND 2000 RPM'S. THIS VIBRATION IS VERY DISTRACTING AND CAUSES FATIGUE DURING LONGER TRIPS. ALSO SEVERE VIBRATIONS AT THE IDLE, AROUND 600 RPM'S WHEN STOPPED AT STOP LIGHTS OR IN TRAFFIC. THE VIBRATION MAKES THE CAR EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE FOR THE DRIVER AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER.
