My 2019 Honda CR-V, which has the 1.5 liter turbo engine, with 78,000 started up with the dashboard lit up like a xmas tree and reported approx. a dozen faults of all safety features EPB, LKAS, Emissions, etc. It was diagnosed by Lester Glenn Honda in Wall, NJ with oil dilution caused by the leaky fuel injectors. The mechanic noted TDC P0172 - System Too Rich & P0301- cylinder 1 misfire and all fuel injectors failed A/F test. This vehicle had its fuel pump replaced earlier this year pursuant to the Honda recall for this (wondering if related). The same underlying problem was subject to a safety recall for the 2017-2018 model years, but the defect was not included for my 2019 model year even though it's the same 1.5L Turbo motor and there are numerous complaints from customers on the same exact issue. I was quoted over $2300 since it was past the warranty period (8k miles past the extended 7/70k emissions warranty that would have covered this 100%). Not only is this premature failure of critical engine component making the engine run very rough with a sudden and severe loss of powers, it produces a safety hazard of a direct rear-end crash risk due to the inability to maintain a safe operating speed. This is a significant expense for a defect Honda is already aware of. I believe this is a manufacturing defect that should be fully covered by Honda, along with any related systems affected by this issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this widespread defect affecting 2017–2019 CR-V models and issue a recall. I have not had it repaired yet as I asked the dealer to contact Honda Corporate and ask for a goodwill/good faith warranty.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle and while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated. An independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer for the same diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed, and the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed by a Honda dealer and that partial assistance could be provided. The failure mileage was 62,000.

Vehicle started hesitating on traffic while running on a 50mph zone, if vehicle would had die on me more than likely I would have been hit from behind by another vehicle. I exited the main road and drove cautiously home. Honda dealer inspected vehicle and confirmed a failed engine head gasket

Turbo failure on the highway caused loss of power and significantly reduced acceleration. The car only had 59,930 miles on it. Now we are getting a repair quote from a Honda dealer to replace the turbo for over $4,500 with no guarantee it will fix the problem.

I have Honda 2019 CRV and didn’t get alert my head gasket is shot. No notice on my car overheating or any alert. Smoke coming from my car and Honda didn’t alert me. There is class action lawsuit against Honda right now about head gasket failure in my Honda 2019 crv. This rare issue for Honda CRV and should be investigated for recall!

To Whom It May Concern, While driving my 2019 Honda CR-V AWD EX, multiple warning lights suddenly illuminated on the dashboard, including the Check Engine Light, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), TPMS, and Collision Mitigation System. This has occurred multiple times and appears to be a well-documented issue among other Honda CR-V owners. The dealer diagnosed a faulty fuel injector system (Code P0172 – System Too Rich) and recommended a full injector replacement. This issue matches known cases addressed under Honda TSB 19-072, but is not currently covered under a full recall. The sudden illumination of all warning lights, combined with reduced power, is a serious safety concern as it may cause loss of control or delayed response in critical traffic situations. We have been quoted between $1,200 and $2,500 to repair this issue, which is a significant expense for a defect Honda is already aware of. I believe this is a manufacturing defect that should be fully covered by Honda, along with any related systems affected by this issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this widespread defect affecting 2017–2019 CR-V models and issue a recall. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards,

I was traveling on the highway when suddenly my car started shuddering and slowing down. It was heavy traffic and difficult to navigate to the right shoulder, and my car was nearly hit by a semi-truck. The engine was misfiring and the engine light blinking yellow. I was able to turn off and restart my car and make it home. The mechanic initially thought the issue was old spark plugs and ignition coils. Replacing them didn’t help. I was again on a highway when the issue happened again. I brought the car to the dealership and they said the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. I spent over $2k to replace them on 7/7/25. The problem hasn’t happened since.

The contact's father owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after his father struck a deer, the check engine warning light and several other warning lights became illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for service. The contact stated that after several repairs were made to the vehicle, the check engine warning light returned soon after the repair. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed which showed a fault with the fuel injectors. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.

My 2019 honda crv has been in and out of shops since April 1st. On april 1st lights popped on on my dashboard the lights were break system lights. All wheel drive system lights, and then the lane keep assist adaptive cruise ect were on and not operational. I looked up what could cause that to happen and it stated rear differential fluid could pop lights on. I took it to the dealership and stated it felt like it was running funny but the lights all went off before I got there but if they could do the rear diff fluid and run diagnostic just to be safe that'd be great. Diagnostic found nothing wrong g with my vehicle. A few days later the same lights came on and then multiple other lights came on, my boyfriend stated it could be electrical maybe spark plugs so we bought them and replaced them. Restarted the car and drove it they went off but then came back on next morning. Next solution was maybe my battery has gone bad. Bought a new battery in hopes it'd work and no luck. We pull out our code reader and it pulls a code for cam shaft position sensors so we purchase those and replace them and still no luck. I finally take it to a repair shop since there's nothing else we can do on our own to fix the issue and the repair shop has a hard time trying to diagnose the issue. They ran codes and tests trying to figure this out they checked the mechanical side of things since the dealership only checked electrical side of things and found that my car had debris in the oil. They began researching and finding the hondas in my year and make and model with the 1.5 turbo engines have a class action lawsuit due to oil dilution and after more digging they found that I did indeed suffer from this and would need an engine replacement due to the damage that has been done and that would be around 10k. Honda knowing sold me a vehicle that could have an issue like this. I bought the car used and kept up on all maintenance and now am having my car repossessed because I cant afford the repa

Honda is not completing this recall in a reasonable manner, and despite claiming parts are available they are not. After two years of delays, and now threats that our registration will be not renewed if we do not perform the recall, Honda still does not have the parts. Furthermore, they want you to bring in the car, have it inspected, after which they will decide if they want to replace the part. The inspection is being done because the fuel pump may crack due to poor manufacturing practices; however, after an inspection they will not actually fix the defective part if they do not find a crack. This will surely result in failures later when the defective part eventually fails. In their process, some time after the inspection and after some time ordering it and receiving it, they will replace it, at their discretion. This is wholly absurd, and I encourage you to actually force Honda to perform this recall and replace these parts in a timely manner. Two years is more than enough time to produce 700,000 fuel pumps.

Good afternoon, My 2019 Honda CR-V suddenly displayed all warnings on the dashboard while operating the vehicle. The warnings remained but would sometimes disappear. However, while driving the vehicle on [XXX], the vehicle suddenly decelerated and was unable to accelerate while driving in traffic. Given any other situation or position of my car on the road, an accident would have occurred. On March 12, 2025, my 2019 Honda CR-V was repaired by Pearson Honda. Pearson Honda determined that the 2019 Honda CR-V had fault fuel injectors, and the fuel injectors were placed. The 2019 Honda CR-V had 66,888 miles at the time of service. As you're likely aware, recalls have been issued on various other Honda Models relating to issues with the fuel injectors. Additionally, there is an abundance of online forum posts highlighting the issue and likely other NHTSA stating the same: - [XXX] (User ALY1337 noting that fuel injectors in their 2017 Honda CR-V went bad at around 68,000 miles) - [XXX] (Various users noting that their Honda CR-Vs of varying years have had fuel injector issues) Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I was driving in I-694 to dealer for a scheduled oil change when all of the warning lights came on at once and I lost ability to accelerate. This was frightening and dangerous. I was surrounded by many vehicles, including semis. There were no advanced warnings. The dealer diagnosed turbo and engine failure. I brought the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a second opinion, and he stated that there was a large quantity of fuel in the engine oil. I had brought my vehicle to the Honda dealer for maintenance over the prior three year period, and was never advised that I needed to check the turbo, that it could fail, or that I needed more frequent oil changes. I have since discovered that Honda is aware of this engine defect that causes fuel to mix with the oil, which then can cause premature engine failure, but they refuse to fix it.

My CRV 2019 EX Honda is losing power while drivng. It is very concerning since it is happening very often and it can reduce all of a sudden the speed while driving on a highway. I have to stop the car, turn off and then on again to continue. I went to see if there was a recall, but no recall for my car. They say I should change the gas cap but I am not sure that will solve the problem since I’ve heard it can be a software.

As i was driving on the highway, and with no warning my engine just shut off. Without any warning ligts or anything. Car then started back up and was able to pull off the highway when again this time the engine light came on and then just seized. And would not turn back over. Luckily traffic was not moving very fast on the highway or a serious accident could have happened due to the engine shutting down. Vehicle has been in shop for 2 months and was just returned to me, with a lot of the engine having to be replaced.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. While driving approximately 30-60 MPH, the vehicle started to jerk. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle hesitated and shut off unintendedly. The contact depressed the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal simultaneously for the vehicle to accelerate. The contact added fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank. The “WRENCH” symbol was displayed. After the failure, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Was driving on a major highway when multiple dashboard lights became lit and car went into limp mode. We were put at risk because we could not keep up with traffic and we were 10 miles from home on a cold winter day. Car was brought to a Honda dealer who determined that the engine and turbo were destroyed as a result of a head gasket failure.

My wife was driving the Honda CRV (61k miles, 2019) through a parking lot when suddenly all kinds of buzzers and warning lights came on. There was no warning anything was wrong before this. All of the Driver Assist features read failures, none of the gauges worked, all of the dash was lit up like a Christmas Tree. Sufficed to say this freaked my wife out. She was in a parking lot, she's very anxious and this nearly caused an accident in the lot. There was no visible loss of power, but if we were on the freeway? Terrible accident! We've heard of other people having the same issue from CRV forums. Anyway, we took it to two different places to get the codes checked, and the codes were p0172 (fuel system too rich) and u0401-68 (ecm failure). We then went to a mechanics shop who diagnosed the problem but said they couldn't touch anything until the ECM was fixed by a dealer. We went to Honda West in Las Vegas, NV (W Sahara location), but they said there was no issue with the ECM. In fact, they said that "it's normal for everything to shut off like that when one system goes wrong or bad." Well, the problem is my wife suffers from occasional anxiety and panic attacks, but can drive normally. We've had a check engine light come on before and we've handled it. But the whole dash lighting up for 1 or 2 issues? A potential loss of power, skid control, driver assist features, all out the window because of two codes? By the way, the dealer said nothing was wrong with the ECM. Then why did a code populate for it? This needs to be fixed. The fact that I'm out $200 for a diagnostic fee, to be told that the issue is the fuel injectors (lines up with p0172 code) is fine, but why is everything lighting up like that? It's dangerous, and it's also a KNOWN issue. They need to recall their fuel injectors on their CRVs. I only found out AFTER I BOUGHT ONE. The ECM also CLEARLY needs to be fixed. Now, again, they're making money from misery.

I have contacted my local Honda dealer about this issue months ago and the recall and they said they did not have parts available yet. I have always kept my maintenance up since I bought it new. On the way home the other night all of a sudden my turbo charger blew and took out my catalytic converter along with it. I was told this was a $8000 repair!!!! It only has 135,000 on the car. I have read and spoke to many people that stated that the fuel pump issues can cause this! I am so upset by all of this. I should not have to pay for this NOR is this safe!

As I was attempting to quickly accelerate to merge onto the freeway my vehicle experienced extreme hesitation and engine misfires. All my dash warning lights were then illuminated. My vehicle nearly came to a stop. This nearly caused me to be rearended by vehicles on the freeway especially an 18-wheeler that was quickly approaching to my rear. I limped onto the side median where I stopped my vehicle turned it off and then restarted it. It restarted but all the warning lights were still illuminated. I managed to drive slowly to my dealership where my vehicle had just been around two weeks prior for a similar incident (only the one engine warning light was illuminated) where they replaced my fuel pump under recall. On my latest incident they did a diagnostic check, and it displayed DTC codes P0172, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0304, multiple cylinder misfires and fuel rail pressure too high. At their recommendation they replaced my fuel injector and spark plugs. My vehicle was 4 months and 8000 miles out of the extended Honda Care Warranty I had purchased when I bought my vehicle, so I had to pay for the repairs. Nearly 10 days later my vehicle was experiencing similar symptoms of hesitation and misfires upon rapid acceleration with all dash warning lights illuminated. I stopped and restarted my car drove it to an auto parts store where they ran a computer diagnostic check, and it showed random misfires and also this time it said i needed my PCM reprogrammed. I managed to reset the codes and now looking to sell my vehicle. I felt compelled to notify Honda corporate customer relations via email, not just for a reimbursement of payment but also for safety notification; they checked my VIN and was told since there was not a current campaign on that VIN and it was out of warranty so it's up to me to repair. I believe it is a safety issue affecting my model like it has affected others.

The fuel pump allegedly is on recall, but other issues are underlying that Honda is aware of but won't go public. My emergency braking system alerts but there is no car in front of me. The pump stalls the car to where it won't go above 20mph, and the car does not shift gears when it stalls. Honda has no answer my car has been down since 06/2023 it is a one car family, I have wasted and depleted mu funds on a rental car and Honda has no answer for me. My safety was at risk as the car stall and slowed down mid speed on the highway. All the lights appeared on the dashboard.

[XXX] Saturday at [XXX] while driving at about 50 MPH onto [XXX] toward [XXX] , My Honda CRV 2019 suddenly stalled, all alarms setup, beeping on the dashboard, while I was puzzling what was happening, the car behind us almost slammed into our car, narrowly missed by sudden turned to my left hand side. We hit the Emergency Light immediately, then pull over to the side, and immediately called my favorite Honda Mall of Georgia Dealership (HMGD), Buford, GA the lady was very nice after she heard the incident, gave us the name and mentioned to contact Service Manager directly first thing on Monday, also scheduled us to checkup on 7/24/2024 . Me and my wife called the office again on Monday 7/22/2024 11:15 AM, to reiterate the dangerous incident which occurred two days ago. However, Service Manager was away from the office, after a few minutes, the Assistant Manager responded immediately, recommended us to bring in to have a thorough Checkup. Also we stated that we have been calling the office regarding the FUEL INJECTION PUMP RECALL (since 12/28/2023 regarding Engine Fuel Injection Pump Replacement), for more than 5 times according to our record. The responses were no parts available until August 3X, then delayed till September 2X, recently said till this fall 2024. Having said that, if the incident happened again, while our whole family, my daughter and two grandchildren all on our favorite HONDA SUV, if a semi-truck was behind us on [XXX] that day, a crash accident would have been fatal the whole family and Daughter and two Grandkids。After HMGD completed checkup from 7/24 to 7/25, stated the Technician and HQTR still could not identify any RECALL related issue. Then stated my CRV is ready to pick up. (Repair-Order- [XXX]. Dated 07/25/2024) I was startled by the statement. Our HONDA (HMGD), is willing to put our Lives and Safety at RISK on the highway again, as long as you bring the car back for the next incident, (if YOU survive the CRASH). REALLY ! Fuel contamination leads to the dilution of my engine oil. I perform my own oil changes, ensuring the engine is filled to 50% on the dipstick. Typically, after 4 to 5 months, the dipstick indicates the oil level at FULL due to fuel contamination. This causes me to change the oil to prevent excessive engine wear caused by dilution. This problem started ever since I purchased the SUV (2019 Honda CRV EX) new on 8/31/2019.

Jan 29, 2024

A little over two weeks ago we took our 2019 Honda CRV to the dealership because all the indicator lights were lighting up on the dashboard. It started as I was sitting in the car with the car idling as I waited for my husband to come out of the store. We took a short video of what it was doing. The car was at the dealership the next day, but there were no indicator lights like the previous day. We shared the video with the service rep. When we picked it up we were told the fuel injectors needed to be replaced and it would cost in excess of $2,300. The car has less than 78,000 miles on it. The service rep said that if it was his car he would not drive it a distance (freeway) with this problem. That says to me that it is a safety issue. We had been concerned that it could be an electrical issue because the car was in a front-end, side-swipe collision in November 2023, and we had just gotten it back from repairs at the dealership two weeks before the indicator lights problem. The service rep assured us it was not an electrical problem. I looked up the problem on the internet. On [XXX] there were a number of other Honda CRV owners with the same problem at about the same mileage. Our safety is at risk with possible risk to friends and family because we need to drive on the freeway for daily activities. We took it to an independent automotive service location. They did not come to the same conclusion; the indicator lights were no longer on. This vehicle component has not been inspected by any others, other than already mentioned. Was parked on side of road. No previous warning lights. Car would not start. Unable to put on hazard lights in dark on highway. Had to be towed. All dash wearing lights on only. Was at dealer 2 months prior due to all dash lights on and power failure. Replaced battery and car was re coded per dealer. Prior to that all dash lights came on when car turned off and had to disconnect battery cable every night. Now car does not turnover when jumped and battery charged. Dealer thinks might be a smart unit and parasitic battery drain. Car only has 42000 miles on it. No hazards, worried about being rear ended. i What if there was an abrupt power failure while driving. Living in Wisconsin what if stranded in freezing temps. Unreliable car due to manufacture defects.

Vehicle has approximately 90,000 miles and a rod broke off inside the engine causing a hole in the engine. Engine needed to be replaced. Honda reported that this happened because oil changes did not occur every 3000-6000 miles. Vehicle was purchased new October 2019 and engine failure occurred December 2023. Most recent oil change was completed 10/31/23 by Honda dealership at 89,529 miles.

2019 Honda CRV 61K Miles, already had all lights on dash pop up. Says battery is bad, but its good. Then asked me to change engine filter and cabin, done and good now its saying fuel injectors? When does it end this is a joke

Nov 21, 2023

This happens at least once a week. My engine randomly stalls and restarts while driving. Sometimes it happens while I'm turning my steering wheel to the left, and other times it happens while driving on the highway. The whole car shuts down for a few seconds and then restarts and continues as if nothing was wrong. I've also had occasions where, when I turn my steering wheel, some of the features will stop working, like lane assist, cruise control, etc.

Nov 21, 2023

When outside temp is below 30 degrees, the engine will not generate heat unless driven for several miles. When you stop and let car idle the engine temperature drops very low not allowing the inside cabin to remain warm. So basically if I get stuck in a snowstorm I could freeze to death because this car will maintain a warm temperature unless it’s been driven.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving uphill at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal grinding sound was coming from the vehicle. The failure persisted and the vehicle stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact called a friend who assisted with having the vehicle towed to the residence. The contact called a local dealer and an independent mechanic who declined to service the vehicle. The contact then called Honda of Cleveland (2701 S Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN 37311) who agreed to service the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that a blown engine rod had caused the failure. The manufacturer agreed to cover half the cost of a new engine while the contact paid the remaining balance for a new engine. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 69,784.

On two separate occasions, the car shut off shortly after the car was turned on. After the first occasion, we thought it was a battery problem and called AAA. They said the battery was in good condition ( it was replaced in 3.2023) and the car turned on after a jump start. Several weeks later the same thing happened and the car would not turn on even after a jump start. I had the car towed to a local auto store where they told us the work up showed a P0087 error - low fuel pressure. This was a felt to be an issue with the fuel pump and recommended we take the car to Honda as this was supposed to be under recall for CRVs from 2018 and 2019. We towed the car to Honda and they confirmed it was fuel pump issue but our car VIN was NOT associated with the current recall. The dealership and Honda Corporate ultimately refused to cover the cost of repair/replacement of fuel pump as they said our vehicle is currently not under the recall despite the fact that our Honda CRV is also from 2019. I am filing this complaint to notify NTHSB of the issue we had and whether our vehicle and potentially other vehicles would need to be included in the current recall.

Aug 3, 2023

Ever since the fuel pump was replaced by the recall, the car has had a delayed start. Recently the car started but when pit in drive the car stalls. The car does not reliably run, and can stall at any moment.. We have been informed by the dealership that it is now the fuel pump motor that has failed. Seems to me that this is part of the same problem.

Jul 31, 2023

When the fuel injectors go bad or out in the 2019 CRV, the check engine light should just come on. Instead the CRV 2019 CRV all lights come on dashboard disabling all safety systems in the car and makes those safety systems unusable when it should just be alerting you of an engine issue. This could cause accidents with a vehicle, rather than the engine just shutting down. Honda has known about it not fixing not only fuel injector they need to be fixing the electric problem that goes along disabling the safety features. They also need to get fuel injector parts in stock. Also, the fuel injector cause further damage to other parts of the vehicle. It damages spark plugs, oil. Honda should been recalling this issue awhile. We take good care of our vehicle and have up kept this vehicle. This one needs to be fixed properly fixing just the injector not enough they have to fix the issue of the safety features where doesn’t disable the whole car along with new injectors.

Vehicle had a engine failure at 64,000 miles, vehicle was very well maintained by dealer, on time, I went in for a oil change drove in to the dealer, got vehicle back and 400 miles down the road had loud knock in the engine, dealer told me they saw metal shavings, possibly a spun bearing from oil dilution, they refuse to repair it as it’s passed the 60,000 warranty mark leaving me with a $6000 bill

I have a 2019 Honda CRV, purchased new on Guam from Triple J Honda (Tamuning) on Jan 2020. As of May 2023, my car has about 32,000 miles but my car began having trouble starting [engine made sputtering(?) noises when turning the key] that morning. Then, while driving in traffic, the car had STALLED/STOPPED WORKING in the middle of rush hour (around 9AM) traffic!!! THANK the LORD, though, the traffic light had just turned red so all the other drivers were slowing down around me! I tried over & over again, but the car wouldn't start! So, the police had to stop/redirect traffic and also helped me push my car to a safe area. Almost all the warning signals on my dashboard were lit on, so I wasn't sure what caused the problem. The engine warning light was also on, so I had a towing company take my car home to replace with a new Honda battery. After placing a new Honda car battery (bought at Triple J Tamuning), it still had difficulty starting, made sputtering noises, and was drivable for only 2-3 feet, then it died again! I had to tow my car again but to Triple J Honda (Tamuning) to diagnose the problem. The service advisor told me that the reason why my car won't start is because "You have a major problem with your fuel pump." I researched online and found that 2018-2019 Honda CRV had safety recalls for the fuel pumps. So, I searched the nhtsa & owners.honda.com websites whether there's a safety recall for my car; but there's no recall showing based on my VIN. Is it true that more cars are being still being added or owners notified later about the safety recalls? This 2019 Honda CRV is the only car available to make deliveries/pick up some supplies for my (very small: me & my mom) family business. So, we really do need this car working reliably asap. If Triple J Honda says that I have to pay for the fuel pump replacement because there's no safety recall for my car's VIN, what can/should I do? How can I know or be notified whether my car will get a safety recall? Thank

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated while accelerating and then stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

Every warning light flashing, loss of power and none of the advanced features working. Took to Honda dealer on multiple occasions and can't diagnose issue. Had regular maintenance done and now the radiator hose blew off while driving and won't star. Bought brand new and have records of maintenance. Very dangerous due to lack if acceleration when trying to merge or turn into traffic.

BASICALLY WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE 30F OR LESS THE CAR IS VERY SLOW TO HEAT UP. IT WILL NOT HEAT IF IDLING YOU HAVE TO DRIVE 4 TO 5MILES ,IN THE MEAN TIME THE WINDSCREEN WILL NOT CLEAR . IF ITS ICY OR SNOWING VERY LITTLE HEAT TO CLEAR WINDSCREEN . THEN WHEN YOU PARK AND LET THE CAR IDLE FOR A WHILE IT LOSES WHAT HEAT HAS BEEN GENERATED. GOD FORBID YOU WERE CAUGHT IN A SNOW STORM THE 1.5 LITRE TURBO EARTH DREAMS ENGINE WILL NOT GENERATE ENOUGH HEAT TO KEEP YOU ALIVE AT IDLE . THE REMOTE START THAT COMES AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT IS A JOKE.I EVEN TRIED PUTTING THE KEYFOB IN THE CAR START IT FOR AN HOUR, NO HEAT GENERATED UNLESS YOU DRIVE THE CAR FOR AT LEAST 4 OR 5 MILES.

Out of nowhere all the warning lights on dash board came on and the parking break was automatically applied. Fortunately I was not driving at the time.

Couldn't hardly BREATHE AS SEVERE FUMES COMING FROM THE CAR VENTS. AND OIL SMELLS LIKE GAS . I had been smelling it off and on but thought it was coming from cars around me! This smell has been going on a few days. But car was parked all day, moved it a couple of feet and the fumes about made me throw up and couldn't breath. Call Honda they said it was drill under warranty and it would get fixed.

Oil dilution issue in my 2019 Honda CRV. Gas getting into the oil and stalling the vehicle. Honda dealership changed oil, spark plugs and differential fluid. I was told to drive the vehicle more. The issue was not fixed and gas is still getting into the oil and continuing to damage the engine. The dealership hasn’t taken responsibility of this issue or the Honda Corporation. I contacted them and get no response back.

On Feb.15, 2022 traveling on I-95 in the passing lane outside Florence S.C. we experienced a drastic loss of power over the course of less than a minute making it difficult to pull over to a slower lane and stop on the right side of the road to find an exit or stop safely. We eventually got over and were able to travel approximately 25 mph to an exit in Florence S.C to Cale Yarborough Honda dealership where the problem was determined as failure of number four fuel injector. Fortunately, with a pet in the car they had all parts necessary for repairs which included fuel injector set, plug top coil assembly, and ignition coil. we were released after approximately 5-1/2 hours with no additional problems. Considering the traffic, lane location, posted speed and the drastic loss of power my wife and I were very concerned about our safe exit off of I-95, and were very lucky to find a dealership with needed parts in stock. We were told by the dealership in Florence and Roanoke Va. that similar problems are occuring in 2018, 2019 and 2020 CRV's, Pilots and Sedans. All parts and service costs were paid under factory warranty.

I just started driving and I lost all pick up car went down to 8mph , wouldn’t go any faster.Fortunately I managed to get on a side street and make it to a church parking lot. if I would have been trying to get across traffic, this could have been dangerous let alone just stopping on the road. I called the Dealership and they gave me the number for there towing company (would be 3-5 hrs) called AAA would have been even longer. The police called a tow truck for me. They towed it to the dealership. Result gasoline in oil. Later I learned this is a problem called Oil Dilution with these cars. The dealership changed the oil , filter and spark plugs. All of my warning lights were flashing. They say this happened because of driving short trips. I’ve had cars that I drove the same distance to work and back, never had any problems. The car I had ran great, just wanted to make sure I had a reliable car as I’m getting older(67)

2019 HONDA CRV. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY OIL HAS AN AMOUNT OF GAS OVER 5% TWICE BY ANALYSIS. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE PROBLEM OF OIL DILUTION THAT HONDA CRV'S (MODEL YEAR 2017 & 2018) HAVE HAD. I FEAR THAT I WILL HAVE PREMATURE ENGINE DAMAGE AND MORE IMPORTANT LOSS OF POWER OR STALLING ON THE HIGHWAY AS THE 1.5 LITER DIRECT INJECTION HONDA CRV ENGINES HAVE EXPERIENCED.

THIS IS A REPRODUCIBLE SOFTWARE GLITCH THAT CAN BE CONSISTENTLY TRIGGERED BY BRINGING THE CAR TO A STOP ON A SLIPPERY SURFACE, AND THEN FLOORING THE GAS PEDAL TO SPIN THE WHEELS WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN 'D'. AFTER THE WHEELS HAVE SPUN, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS ERRATICALLY WHILE DRIVING UNTIL THE CAR IS RESTARTED

I HAVE PURCHASED HONDA CRV 2019 0N 02/18/2019. INITIALLY THE CAR PERFORMANCE WAS AWESOME. MY FIRST VISIT AT FIRST TEXAS HONDA ON 10/04/2019, TO FIX TYRE PUNCHER. WHEN PRIMARY TECHNICIAN REMINDED ME ABOUT SECURITY RECALLS THEN I ASKED TO FIX ALL THE 3 RECALLS (1. 2019 CR-V FI-ECU SELF SHUTDOWN SOFTWARE PRODUCT UPDATE, 2.2019 CR-V STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS & SRS SUB-WIRE SATEFY RECALL, 3. 2019 CR-V INCORRECT OWNER'S GUIDE NON-COMPLIANCE RECALL) SECOND VISIT AT THE SAME DEALER ON 10/17/2019 TO EXPLAIN ALL THE ISSUES I WAS FACING AFTER SECURITY RECALLS. THE REPORTED ISSUES ARE HIGH ENGINE NOISE, SLUGGISH ACCELERATION, STEERING WHEEL TIGHT AND BRAKE PEDAL FEELS VERY LOW WHILE APPLYING BRAKE. HONDA DEALERS DID NOT ACCEPT THE MAIN ISSUE WHILE IS HIGH ENGINE NOISE AND SLUGGISH ACCELERATION. THEY SIMPLY DENY SAYING NO ALERTS SHOWING ON THE DASHBOARD. RAISED SUPPORT CASES (GIVEN BELOW) WITH AMERICAN HONDA AND I FEEL I DID NOT GET RIGHT SUPPORT BECAUSE AMERICAN HONDA SAYS WE VALUE OUR CUSTOMERS BUT THEY SAY OUR AUTHORIZED DEALER SHOULD CHECK AND CONFIRM ON THE CAR ISSUE. BUT DEALERS NOT AGREE TO THE ISSUES, SIMPLY DENYING THE ISSUES. AMERICAN HONDA SUPPORT CASE NUMBERS: 1) 09952327 DURING OCT 2019. 2) 10214175 DURING FEB 2020. 3) 202888213 DURING DECEMBER 2020 BUT THE ISSUES WERE NOT RESOLVED. AS A THIRD PARTY REVIEW, I APPROACHED FIRESTONE, AUSTIN FOR INSPECTION THEY DID A TEST RIDE AND CONFIRMED WITH A REPORT ON THE ISSUES SLUGGISH ACCELERATION AND STEERING HARDNESS. BUT AMERICAN HONDA DENIED FIRESTONE INSPECTION REPORT AS THEY BELIEVE ONLY AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE ISSUES. IF ANY PERSON WHO DRIVE NEW HONDA CR-V AND TRY MY CAR THEY AGREE IN FIRST ATTEMPT THAT ENGINE NOISE IS HIGH AND THE CAR SPEED PICK-UP IS VERY POOR. I NEED HELP FROM NHTSA ASAP BCOZ MY NEW CR-V WHICH IS STILL IN WARRANTY BUT NO-BODY ACCEPTS THE CAR ENGINE ISSUE TO FIX IT.

VEHICLE KEEPS GAINING OIL LEVEL FROM BURNED FUEL EVEN THOUGH THE DEALER INSTALLED THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. I LIVE IN THE SOUTH SO THE COLD WEATHER IS NOT THE ISSUE. I AM AN INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC FOR 47 YEARS AND DO MY OWN MAINTENANCE SO I KNOW WHAT THE CORRECT LEVEL IS. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO FIX BUT DILUTED FUEL LEADS TO DAMAGE AND IF SEVERE, CAN CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE AND ACCIDENT. THE IMAGE POSTED IS ABOUT 7K MILES ON OIL CHANGE AND THE LEVEL IS ABOVE THE LEVEL MARKER PAD. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THE ELECTRONIC DISPLAY FAILS TO FUNCTION WHICH ALLOWS ACCESS TO VEHICLE INFORMATION AND CONTROL ACCESS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE UNIT BUT THIS ISSUE GOES BACK TO 2016 AND SO FAR, DO NOT KNOW IF THE REPLACEMENT WILL SOLVE THE ISSUE SINCE IT WAS REPLACED WITH A REMANUFACTURED PART, NOT NEW. THE DEALER REPLACED THE UNIT REALLY NOT TELLING HONDA THE TRUTH ABOUT THE FAILURE TYPE, THEY SAID IT WAS SOUND SYSTEM ISSUE WHEN THEY KNEW FOR A FACT THERE WAS NONE AS I GAVE THEM A VIDEO AND A LETTER DESCRIBING THE ISSUE. ONE PART IS 1000 DOLLARS AND THE OTHER 1800 DOLLARS, A STIFF COST WHEN WARRANTY RUNS OUT. THEIR FIX IS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AT A COUPLE OF HUNDRED A MONTH. A WIN WIN FOR THEM AND A LOSS TO THE CONSUMER. THE FAILURE WAS SPORATIC AND HAPPENED DRIVING OR PARKED. THE FAILURE DATE IS JUST FOR THE ELECTRONIC PART BUT OIL ISSUE HAS BEEN FROM THE BEGINNING.

WE WERE DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT SECTION OF ROAD AT 80MPH ON I-24 E WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WE LOST POWER TO THE WHEELS BUT THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. THERE WAS NO JERKING MOTION OR ANY SIGN OF TROUBLE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. WE HAD TO COAST IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WITH SEMI-TRUCKS ALL AROUND US TO GET TO THE RIGHT HAND SHOULDER FOR A SAFE PLACE. HONDA'S REPLY TO THE DEALER WAS TO CHANGE THE OIL OUT IF THERE WAS GAS IN THE OIL. THERE WAS GAS IN THE OIL WHEN THE DEALER CHECKED SO THEY REPLACED THE OIL. NO OTHER FIX WAS SUGGESTED BY HONDA TO THE DEALER EVEN THOUGH THIS PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED FOR THE 2019 MODELS AS IT HAD INITIATED FIELD REPAIRS FOR THE 2017 & 2018 MODELS. THE FIX WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IMPLEMENTED AT THE ASSEMBLY PLANTS BEFORE THE 2019 MODELS WERE SOLD. *TR

GASOLINE IS GETTING INTO THE OIL. JUST AS IT HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE 2017 AND 18 MODELS, 1.5 LITER TURBO CHARGED ENGINE. I HAVE HEARD THAT THE 2020 MODEL HAS THE GASOLINE OIL DILUTION PROBLEM ALSO. THIS ISSUE WAS IDENTIFIED ON THE FIRST OIL CHANGE. WE WERE ASKING BY THE DEALER TO GET THE OIL LEVEL CHECKED EVERY 1000 MILES, WE JUST HAD THAT HAPPEN AND THE OIL LEVEL WAS RECORDED AS SLIGHTLY HIGH. IT SMELLS OF GASOLINE. THE DEALER TOLD US HONDA IS WORKING ON A SOLUTION. IN THE MEANTIME OUR ENGINE IS MAKING METAL AND IT'S LIFE IS GETTING SHORTER AND SHORTER. LACK OF LUBRICATION. PROBLEM: FUEL GETTING INTO OIL TRANSFER CASE AND CONTAMINATING/DILUTING THE OIL. WE PURCHASED A 2019 HONDA CR-V EX-L ON 10/31/19. I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT HAD BEEN REPORTED WITH THE 2017-2018 MODELS WITH THE SAME 1.5 TURBO ENGINE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER'S ATTENTION BEFORE WE BOUGHT THE CAR AND WE WERE TOLD THAT HONDA HAD "FIXED THE PROBLEM AND THAT OUR VEHICLE HAD THE FIX". WE WERE PLANNING A TRIP TO DALLAS, TX ON 02/22/20 AND PLANED TO DRIVE THERE FROM OUR HOME IN DULUTH, MN. IN PREPARING FOR THE TRIP, I CHECKED THE ENGINE OIL AND FOUND THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS 1/2" ABOVE THE FULL MARK ON THE DIPSTICK, AND THE OIL WAS DARK AND SMELLED STRONGLY OF GASOLINE. THE CAR HAD 2407 MILES ON IT AT THIS TIME AND OBVIOUSLY HONDA HAD NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER ON 02/21/20 WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND HAD THEM CHECK THE OIL. THEY OBSERVED THE SAME ISSUES THAT I AM REPORTING. THEY STATED THAT HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT HAS NOT YET ISSUED A RECALL. BUT THEY ALSO STATED THAT HONDA WAS NOT PROVIDING ANY EXPLANATION OR REMEDY OTHER THAN TO CHANGE THE OIL AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. MY DEALERSHIP, TO THEIR CREDIT, AGREED TO CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER AT NO CHARGE TO ME. THE SERVICE MANAGER ALSO EXPLAINED WHY THE ISSUE IS OCCURRING AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HONDA MAY YET BE FORCED TO ISSUE A RECALL. HONDA HAS ALREADY OFFERED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE 2017-18 MODELS AS THE RESULT OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT, BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE FOR THE 2019 OR 2020 MODELS THAT HAVE THE SAME ENGINE AND SAME PROBLEM. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR, DAMAGE, OR POTENTIAL OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION. DEALER REPAIR #122992, KRENZEN HONDA DULUTH, MN.

ON 2/7/2020 I WAS OPERATING MY CRV, MADE A LEFT TURN INTO DRIVEWAY OF TAVERN/RESTAURANT, 1080 E. PHILADELPHIA AVE., GILBERTSVILLE, PA. 19525 AND PULLED INTO THE FIRST PARKING SPACE ABOUT 10 FEET FROM STREET. I SLOWED DOWN TO ALMOST A STOP APPROX. 2 FEET FROM CONCRETE PARKING BLOCK, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND ENGINE ACCELERATED VERY HIGH CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JUMP THE PARKING BLOCK AND STRIKING THE RESTAURANT WALL. APPROX. 8 FEET FROM PARKING BLOCK. MY WIFE ASKED ME WHAT I WAS DOING AND I POINTED TO MY RIGHT FOOT ON THE BRAKE. NO ONE WAS HURT AND VERY MINIMAL DAMAGE TO WALL. THERE WAS A POLICE REPORT TO DOUGLAS TWP. PD. I SPOKE TO PIAZZA HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AND MANAGER SAID THAT I MOST LIKELY HAD MY FOOT HALF ON BRAKE AND HALF ON GAS PEDAL. I ALSO GAVE SAME STORY TO ALLSTATE INSURANCE. I REQUESTED THAT HEY CHECK THE BLACK BOX IN VEHICLE AND BOTH SAID THEY COULD NOT. MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AFTER $9.000.00 ESTIMATE WAS WRITTEN. I WAS SO AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND I TRADED IT IN TO PIAZZA HONDA WITHOUT LEAVING THEIR BUSINESS AFTER IT WAS REPAIRED. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 60 YEARS AND NEVER HAD MY FOOT HALF ON BRAKE A ND HALF ON GAS PEDAL. THE BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL ARE SEPARATED BY AT LEAST 3 INCHES. IF IT WAS ON BOTH PEDALS, I AM SURE THE BRAKES WOULD HAVE SCREECHED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE SHOP AT PIAZZA HONDA 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT FOR PA. STRONG GASOLINE FUMES WERE NOTED IN THE VEHICLE INTERIOR AT ABOUT 2,000 MILES. THE ISSUE SEEMED TO PRESENT ITSELF WHEN RESTARTING AFTER RELATIVELY SHORT TRIPS. ISSUE WAS REPORTED TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AT APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS HAD BEEN AN ISSUE WITH 2017/2018 MODELS, THAT THE ISSUE HAD BEEN RESOLVED AND DID NOT APPLY TO 2019 MODELS. THIS WAS CONTRARY TO WHAT I WAS EXPERIENCING, SO I RESEARCHED AND DETERMINED THAT THIS DOES IN FACT APPEAR TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE 2019 MODEL. WHEN PULLING THE DIPSTICK TO CHECK THE OIL, IT SMELLED AS IF I HAD DIPPED THE STICK IN A CAN OF GASOLINE, NOT OIL. I REPORTED THE ISSUE TO A SECOND DEALERSHIP, THE DEALERSHIP FROM WHICH THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE INDIVIDUAL CHECKING THE CAR IN, AGREED THAT UPON STARTING THE CAR FOR THE TEST DRIVE, THE CABIN SMELLED STRONGLY OF GASOLINE AND THAT THEY WOULD CHECK IT OUT. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS CHECKED-OUT BY A MECHANIC, THEY SAID THAT IT WAS READY TO PICK UP AND THAT NOTHING WAS FOUND. I INQUIRED AS TO GASOLINE SMELL NOTED UPON CHECK-IN. THEY INDICATED THAT THE COMMENT MADE COULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS THE PERSON CHECKING THE VEHICLE IN AND GOING FOR A TEST DRIVE WAS NOT A LICENSED MECHANIC. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE THE MATTER UP WITH HONDA AMERICA AS THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT IF THE ISSUE IS ASSOCIATED WITH ENGINE DESIGN, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, THAT I WOULD NEED TO APPEAL TO HONDA AMERICA TO HAVE AN ENGINEER CHECK MY CAR OUT, THAT IF THEY WERE TO CALL, HONDA WOULD NOT SEND AN ENGINEER. IN THE MEANTIME, I HAVE A $30,000, PURCHASED VEHICLE THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO HONDA AT THE END OF A SHORT LEASE. I AM ALSO BEING EXPOSED TO GASOLINE FUMES ON A REGULAR BASIS. I WAS KNOWINGLY SOLD A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE WITH AN ENGINE THAT WILL NOT LAST FOR THE 10+ YEARS THAT I PLANNED TO DRIVE IT IN RETIREMENT.

THE ENGINE IS GETTING GAS IN THE OIL. I HAVE TAKEN OIL SAMPLES THAT SHOW GREATER THAN 5% GAS IN THE ENGINE WITH LOWER THAN MINIMUM OIL VISCOSITY. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER WHO CHANGED THE OIL. LESS THAN 1000 MILES LATER, THE PROBLEM IS BACK. THE ENGINE HESITATES RANDOMLY ESPECIALLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN. I'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS WITH THE SAME "THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO". I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD PULL THE INJECTORS AND CHECK TO SEE IF ONE IS FAULTY AND WAS TOLD "IT'S DIRECT INJECTION, THE INJECTORS CANNOT BE PULLED", WHICH OF COURSE IS FALSE. THE LAST MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT UNLESS THE OIL LEVEL IS MORE THAN 1.5 INCHES ABOVE THE ADD MARK, THERE WAS NO CHANCE OF DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. I ESTIMATE THAT AT THAT LEVEL, THERE WOULD BE 30% GAS IN OIL. THE COMPANY STATED THAT THE PROBLEM FOR THE 1.5 TURBO ENGINE IN THE 2019 CR-V WAS SOLVED. I DON'T BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN SOLVED BASED ON MY AND OTHERS EXPERIENCE.

VEHICLE HAS A DEMONSTRABLE PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OIL BEING DILUTED WITH FUEL THAT CAUSES THE OIL TO BE THINNED OUT TO A POINT WHERE IT IS NO LONGER IN SPEC FOR THE VISCOSITY. THE OIL LEVEL IN THE CRANKCASE RISES AND CAUSES A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO BE ILLUMINATED AND ALSO CAUSES A STRONG FUEL SMELL TO BE PRESENT IN THE CABIN. 2019 HONDA CRV-OIL DILUTION CAUSING OIL LEVEL TO RISE-CAUSED CAR TO GO INTO "LIMP MODE". INVOICE ATTACHED. I HAVE A 2019 HONDA CRV WITH ONLY 3196 MILES ON IT. ON 1/24/20, I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST ACCELERATION! I PUT THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING! THERE WERE CARS ALL AROUND ME AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. I AND EVERYONE DRIVING AROUND ME WERE LUCKY, AS IT COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN A LARGE PILE UP ON THE HIGHWAY WITH CATASTROPHIC REPERCUSSIONS. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY "OIL DILUTION CAUSING ELEVATED OIL LEVEL"..."FOULED PLUGS AND MISFIRE CODES"..."OIL VERY THIN VERY DARK AND SMELLED". THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT OCCURRED IN PRIOR YEARS CRVS! THE HONDA TECH LINE DIDN'T HAVE A FIX FOR 2019S YET SO ADVISED THE DEALER TO CHANGE MY OIL AND REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND AM STUCK IN A LEASE FOR 2 1/2 MORE YEARS. I CALLED HONDA CORPORATION AND THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON WHAT THEY WERE DOING FOR THIS, EXCEPT TO TELL ME THAT NO NOTICE IS EVER SENT TO OWNERS OF A CAR UNTIL A FIX IS FOUND. THE OLD OIL WAS VERY DIRTY AND VERY THIN. THE ISSUE = FUEL LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE OIL OF HONDA'S 1.5 TURBO ENGINE, INSTALLED INTO THE 2019 HONDA CR-V. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM AS WITH THE 2017 & 2018 MODELS. HONDA REPORTED THAT THEIR FIX (APPARENTLY A SOFTWARE CHANGE) WOULD BE APPLIED TO THE 2019 MODEL. HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED SHOWS LACK OF INTEREST ON HELPING ME. HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE CAR WAS TAKEN KEEPS WORKING ON THE ISSUE. VEHICLE WONT START. THREE DAYS AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW.

THE 2019 HONDA CR-V TOURING VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED GASOLINE CONTAMINATION OF THE ENGINE OIL DUE TO AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE DESIGN. THE ABNORMAL LEVELS OF GASOLINE CONTAMINATES HAS BEEN VALIDATED THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY LAB TEST. THE DEGRADATION OF THE LUBRICATING PROPERTIES OF THE ENGINE OIL RESULTS IN ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND IN-CABIN AIR QUALITY ISSUES. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO THE MANUFACTURER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT, HOWEVER, THEY HAVE INDICATED THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE AT THIS TIME UNLESS YOU LIVE IN SPECIFIC STATES WHERE THE FIX IS BEING OFFERED. THIS IS A KNOWN INTERNATIONAL ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE TYPE AND HONDA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM. SOME REPORTS INDICATE THAT CONSUMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERE VEHICLE PERFORMANCE ISSUES (I.E., STALLING) AS WELL AS HEALTH RELATED ISSUES DUE TO SUPER STRONG GASOLINE ODORS IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE REDUCED LUBRICATION QUALITY OF THE ENGINE OIL DUE TO THE ENGINE DESIGN ISSUE HAS LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE INDICATIONS.

BRAND NEW 2019 HONDA CR-V EX-L: ELECTRICAL PROBLEM,4/10/19 AT 200 MILES, BATTERY COMPLETELY DEAD AFTER 2 DAYS OF NOT DRIVING BECAUSE COMPUTER PROGRAM ERROR. HONDA IS AWARE OF PROBLEM, BUT DOES NOT INSTRUCT THE DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE SELLING ITS CARS. ENGINE PROBLEM AT 12 MILE AND UP, BOUGHT THE CAR IN MARCH,2019, SMELLED GASOLINE IN ENGINE OIL AT DIPSTICK, THE LEVEL WAS OVER MAX MARK BY 1/4", WAS TOLD THAT HONDA ALREADY IMPLEMENTED THE SOLUTION PRIOR TO SELLING 2019 MODEL TO THE PUBLIC. OBVIOUSLY, IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. DEALER WAS NO HELP, REFUSE TO ADMIT THAT THE OIL WAS OVER MAXIMUM AND MIXED WITH GASOLINE. 5-9-19 AT 1467 MILES, PAID TO CHANGE OIL AND FILTER AT DEALER AND STARTED TO MONITOR OIL CONDITION AND LEVEL CLOSELY. DISCOVERING THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS STILL OVER MAXIMUM MARK BY 1/4" AFTER RETURNING HOME AND ENGINE WAS COOL. 5/13/19 AT 1600 MILES, DRAINED 1/4 QT. OF OIL OUT TO BRING THE LEVEL DOWN TO 1/8" BELOW MAX. MARK. DISCOVERED THAT THE OIL HAD ALREADY TURNED BLACK AFTER LESS THAN 200 MILES , 4 DAYS AFTER OIL CHANGE. SAVED SAMPLE OF THE BLACK OIL FOR DEALER. 5/14/19 AT 1694 MILES, SHOWED SAMPLE OF NEWLY CHANGED BLACK OIL TO THE DEALER SERVICE DEPT. WAS TOLD THAT THIS DIRTY OIL COULD BE TYPICAL OF THIS 1.5 TURBO ENGINE. DEALER ADMIT THIS TIME FROM THE OIL SAMPLE THAT THERE IS GASOLINE SMELL MIXED IN WITH ENGINE OIL. PAID FOR ANOTHER OIL AND FILTER CHANGE MYSELF. DEALER DID NOT OFFER TO DO ANYTHING EXCEPT TELLING ME TO CONTACT HONDA ENGINEERING. WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE OIL STATUS, AND POSSIBLY ASK FOR HELP FROM HONDA USA. HONDA IS NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR THE CUSTOMER SINCE IT HAS KNOWN THIS SINCE 2017 MODEL YEAR. SERIOUSLY, CONSIDERING OTHER BRAND OF VEHICLE IN THE FUTURE. IF THE NEW OIL AND FILTER CAN GET COMPLETELY DIRTY IN LESS THAN 200 MILES, I WOULD BE REQUIRED TO CHANGE OIL EVERY WEEK!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HONDA OF JOLIET (3225 PLAINFIELD RD, JOLIET, IL 60431, (815) 439-2222) WHERE THE SPARK PLUGS AND OIL WERE CHANGED. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND BACKFIRED. BLACK SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

AFTER BUYING THIS NEW CAR I NOTICED TWICE GAS SMELL WHILE DRIVING I CHECKED THE ENGINE OIL IT SMELLS GAS I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER HE SAID THE OIL HAS GAS IN IT AND ADVISED ME TO WATCH THE LEVEL AND THE SMELL, BRING IT BACK IF ENGINE LIGHT TURN ON OR SMELL STRONG SMELL OF GAS AGAIN. THE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE SINCE GAS LEAKS TO THE OIL THAT CAN CAUSE CAR TO INSTALL WHEN OIL LEVEL GETS TOO HIGH. ALSO GAS SMELL MAKES DRIVER AND PASSENGERS DIZZY AND INCREASES CHANCE OF ACCIDENT HONDA IS VERY LAZY TO ACT SINCE THIS IS 3RD GENERATION OF CRV EX WITH TURBO ENGINE. HONDA SAID THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN IN VERY COLD WEATHER AND WITH FREQUENT SHORT DRIVING I'M LIVING IN GEORGIA , NO EXTREME COLD AND I DRIVE MOSTLY ABOUT 15 MILES TRIPS THIS CAR IS DEFECTED AS MANY CRV CARS WITH TURBO ENGINE
