2022 HONDA CR-V Steering Problems

While driving on the interstate at 60+ speeds, my steering wheel sticks and has locked up causing me to jerk the wheel so hard that I went into another lane and almost wrecked. Initially the issue happened when the car had 31k miles on it and was repaired by Honda under warranty. Now, at 51k the same steering issue is happening again and they are charging me to fix it. The first part replacement only last one year and 5 months. There is a well known issue with Honda CRV steering - why isn’t my 2022 CRV included in the recall? The steering wheel also feels like it becomes detached and loose when steering in a parking lot and knocks/pops with hard turns. The drivers side seatbelt doesn’t roll back up when disconnected causing it to stay loose and fall in the door way which has caused several large dents in my car due to the seatbelt falling in the door way as I close the door.

Reoccurring steering issue- After having the steering wheel rac & gear box replaced in April 2024 on my 2022 CRV (purchased brand new), the issue is reoccurring in Nov. 2025. . My 2022 CRV steering wheel sticks when driving on the interstate and doesn’t want to turn and is difficult to steer causing me to have to jerk the wheel and nearly wreck my car. The steering wheel also feels loose and spins around and round while at a stop. The steering wheel knocks/pops during a hard turns. Since this a wide spread issue well documented online, I would expect for there to be a recall - but there is not one on my 2022 CRV even though I have experienced the issue twice now. The dealership and Honda Corp is agreeing to pay a large portion of the $3000+ bill but I am still stuck paying nearly $200 for a defect that should be covered fully due to obvious manufacturing defects in the part. The car is 3 years old and has had the steering wheel rac replaced twice! Ridiculous!!!

When driving on highway the steering wheel sticks.

10/8/2025 The steering wheel was sticking.Honda mechanic said it was the left drive shaft. They ordered part and said would be a 2 hour repair. 10/16/2025 Took vehicle back into shop for repair at 10:30 a,m. Vehicle not ready until 5:15p.m. We drove out and steering wheel still sticking. Went back manager drove it and said might be some part that needs greasing but he would check with the Honda corporation. and get back to us. 10/23/2025 Service advisor called us and said it was the power steering rack.Repair bill would be $4400.00. 10/27/2025 We talked to service advisor to see who manager talked to regarding this repair. Service advisor said manager would call us on 10/28/2025. We did not receive a call and did not receive a call on 10/20/2025. 10/30/2025 We filed a complaint with Honda corporation. our vehicle is available for inspection. What we have read about this kind of recall is that steering wheel could permanently stick possibly causing an accident. The fact the manager said it was the power steering rack has not been confirmed . Some Hondas have been recalled for the power steering rack. Vehicle has not been inspected by any dealer or mechanic. This sticking issue started about 9/1/2025..There were no warning lamps or messages.

When driving, there is a popping noise and the steering wheel is very sticky. Not all the time and more noticeable at lower speeds. Sometimes I have to slightly jerk the wheel to get it to respond. This does not seem safe. I took it to my local Honda dealer who said I needed a steering rack replacement and that I should contact Honda Corp. because that shouldn't happen in a 2022 CRV. There is a similar recall for other year models but not the 2022. Honda agreed to only pay a small portion (less than 25%) of the cost but the rest is on me. Issue began couple weeks after my 3 year warranty was up.

The steering sticks and makes a noise intermittently when turning the steering wheel. You cannot count on a smooth turn when turning. The dealership verified this and said the steering gear had to be replaced. While there are countless Honda CRV complaints about this, on several model years, including mine ,and a recall on some of the VIN's, my VIN was not included. Honda recall would not help with this issue. Had to pay to have the dealership replace the steering gear, at a "discounted rate of $1444.25. My vehicle only has 19, 497 miles on it.

The steering seems to get a sticky feel after driving for a while. The steering wheel will get a sticky feel while a slight turn in the road and it will happen either turning left or right. Then on the highway it seems to happen so you can't keep the car going straight.

The steering sticks while driving and turning.

While driving the car i get a sticky steering sensation which requires additonal force to steer the vehicle. Also, while car is stationary and when i try to steer the vehicle completely left or right, i get the noise of clicking.

At low speeds and at high speeds steering feels sticky not fluid. Sometimes it feels like I have to tug a bit to move the steering wheel. On a long trip this gets to be a nuisance and I feel it makes me overcorrect when steering.

Steering wheel is making a sticking noise. This could become very dangerous. My dealer says my rack and pinion needs to be replaced at a cost of $4,000 The vehicle component has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were and are no signs or warnings of the issue.

The steering on my vehicle gets stuck while driving. There is resistance to turning the steering wheel. This is much worse when the AC is running. Honda looked at my car last year and said they did not detect the problem. I know it is real though as I have since seen that many 2022 CRVs have been recalled for this problem. My VIN however was not included so I guess safety is not a priority for Honda. Disappointing. I will not buy another car from Honda.

At approximately 37,000 miles, the steering wheel developed a sticking issue. After researching the issue, we learned that Honda issued a recall involving the steering rack. Somehow, our VIN is not part of the recall. It falls under the years, and models, of the recall. This is a safety issue, especially at highway speeds. It appears to be the exact same issue as those on the recall. We have not yet had it officially diagnosed ($200 cost) and, a replacement would be $3,000-$4,000. Car now has 42,000 miles.

This is a current recall for the 2023 CRV but my 2022 CRV is having the same issue of sticking when I turn left. This needs to be a recall issue.

After driving about 4 hours on the highway, I noticed my steering wheel started to stick if I turned it to the left at all, and there was a groaning sound coming from the wheel well. Steering issues could directly affect my safety and those around me on the road. I took it into Honda, and they said it was my steering gear box, and that it needed to be replaced. It seems there was a recall associated with Honda steering gear boxes in 2024, but they said my issue wasn’t related to that and they wouldn’t cover the cost. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

The recall for the Honda CRV is for 2023 thru 2025. 24-052. I am having the same "sticky" steering problems. The 2022 CRV's should be included in this recall.

Sticky steering with mild clicking noise. Started within past few weeks. While turning the wheel there is a slight resistance and the a release, which could get worse and potentially cause steering issue. Reported to local Honda Dealer and quoted replacement of rack and pinion for over $4,000. Repetitive issues but not consistent. Noted other Honda models and years with same issue already under recall.

The steering of the car sticks during continuous turns when the car has been driving for a significant amount of time (over 15 minutes). This problem started out as slight sticking when making large turns on the highway but has become increasingly more noticeable especially on lower speed roads and turns. My VIN number is not connected to a recall however this issue seems to be the same as a recall for Honda CR-Vs from 2022-2024. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealership or service center and no warning lamps are on in the car.

2022 Honda CR-V: When driving, either local speed or highway speed, the steering sticks on slight turns. At first, this was very subtle, but now is more prominent and just recently, I can hear a clicking sound or noise whenever I move my steering wheel. I am afraid that steering will fail or "stick" and not come out of it causing an accident. I am also concerned that I could overcorrect. I feel this is definitely a safety issue. I brought it to my dealer but they said it would be a $195 diagnostic charge. I see many complaints for this issue and wonder why Honda has not issued a recall. The dealership is aware of my concern and issue but I just fell out of warranty based on time as I have now owned the vehicle 3 years.

Steering catches when turning like it gets stuck. I will have to apply extra pressure to come out of a turn. That is becoming dangerous because the extra pressure in opposite turning direction can cause over correcting too much too fast. I am only reporting because I see that 2022 CRVs were included in a steering recall. But not my VIN though it was a MY reported. I am handy DIY and replaced steering linkages, gearboxes before. This vehicle displays the symptom reported in the recall. I am wondering why HONDA didn't include ALL 2022 MY vehicles.

Auto was purchased several months ago from CarMax. Initial test drive was fine. Started noticing steering was sticky and made a noise like a soft click as I turned the steering wheel. More of a jerk left or right. Seems to be increasing with a little difficulty as I turn the steering wheel. Hard to describe. Reminds me of a go cart I once drove. Not smooth as you would expect. I have not taken to a dealer for review. My concern is will the steering some how give way or not respond when I try to turn. The car is certainly available for someone to check out, drive and see exactly what I am describing. I have not taken to a dealer but will be glad to do so. After some review of recalls I did notice some vehicles have been recalled for a similar problem but did not see my vehicle on the list. Thanks for your time.

I started experiencing the 'sticky steering' issue about 3 weeks ago. I thought it could be low power steering fluid, and after a quick research I came to know that new CRVs use EPAS instead. After some research I found that 'sticky steering' is a known issue and there is a TSB and recall by honda. I checked the recall using my VIN, abd came to know that my CRV wasn't listead for that recall. I called honda customer service at 8009991009 and they confirned that the recall exists for 2022 Honda CRV but my vehicle is not included. I asked how they can exclude my vehicle when I am experiencing the same issue, I was advised that the recall is based on certain production and parts origin. I was advised to go to a honda dealership and pay out-of-pocket. I asked if they can add my VIN to the recall list and they said no. The 'sticky steering' issue persists when i am steering right at about 45 and up mph. This is a serious safety hazard and I would like my vehicles VIN added to the recall.

When making a left hand turn, the steering hangs up when you attempt to straighten out the wheel. You have to pull the wheel hard to the right to get it past its hang up spot. It seems to happen when the vehicle has been driven a distance and the components have gotten warm. The dealer couldn't replicate the problem (because it was not warmed.) No warnings given by the vehicle sensors. The 2023 & 2024 CRV's have been recalled for this issue. The 2022 model has not been included.

My vehicle has had a worsening issue with the steering wheel sticking, especially when driving on winding roads. It is most pronounced when the steering wheel is turned to the left. Instead of smoothly returning to center, the steering wheel sticks in the left position and has to be forced right to center or to turn back right. Obviously having steering that is stuck or that has to be forced can be dangerous, especially at highway speeds. It also sometimes makes a knocking sound when turned all the way to the left. I have not had the vehicle inspected yet, but I have contacted Honda and my local dealership about the issue and am able to bring the vehicle in for inspection. There have been no warning lamps, messages, or anything similar.

I am experiencing a sticky steering problem. I didn’t even realize there is recall for other Honda crv but it looks like 2022 is not even part of the recall but I am experiencing the exact same issue wheee steering is getting harder to do and the wheel seems to be stuck and unwilling to turn.

Driving at highway speed and steering was not normal.It made a clicking sound and steering was not smooth and hesitated. It continued at lesser speeds as well.

Steering binding during gentle curves.

While driving around curves including exit and on-ramps the steering wheel will stick momentarily then release causing car to jerk to the outside of the curve. It feels very dangerous and it is hard to predict when it will happen.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel failed to function as intended. The contact stated that after making a turn, the steering wheel was stuck and was difficult to turn. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the dealer recalibrated the steering. The contact referenced an unknown recall repair however, the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. Sticky power steering wheel and getting noise on turns. Took to the Honda Dealership but they were not able to repro it

This vehicle is affected by the same symptoms as the service bulletin 24-117 2023-2025 CRV with the "sticky steering" recall. After doing some homework, Honda clearly needs to expand the recall to include ALL affected vehicles, including 2019-2022 CRV. These are the EXACT sympoms my vehicle is experiencing and yet my VIN "isn't included". The problem has been happening since before the 23-25 model.

At about 32,000 miles after making a 5 hour drive I noticed that the steering wheel was starting to stick on long curves. The steering wheel would not return to neutral when released but would hold in its turned position until forced back. The problem was intermittent and first and then became consistent. As it became consistent it would stick in the same way but also started roughly kicking back while turning and making lots of clicking noises when turning. This put my safety at risk because it could lead to a crash if I was unable to turn the wheel or release the wheel when needed. This problem has been recalled in other CRVs just not the 2022 but it is clearly the same issue that is happening in the major recall of the other cars. I brought the car to my dealer and they are replacing the steering rack.

When driving above 40 mph, in conditions above 45 degrees f. The steering is jumpy or sticky. It takes a larger input to steer the car. The steering wheel will jump about an inch. There is no way to steer between the area it jumped over. It leads to swerving down the highway. I went to the dealer concerning recalls on all other years and models. They said I did not qualify due to my vin number not being recalled. I think the steering is a safety issue.

While steering and turning, the wheel continuously feels sticky and there is a clicking and squeaking sound when I begin to turn the wheel. It is available to inspect. This vehicle does not feel safe. I have had to turn the wheel with more effort when changing lanes on the highway causing overcorrection and the brake also slipped when I was braking before turning to get onto a major street. I have taken it to Firestone to get the brakes checked and for routine oil maintenance and a leak in the windshield reservoir. After the oil change, a Firestone service tech recommended maintenance and repairs including an alignment, new brake pads and rotors, so I took it back to Enterprise, the car dealership where I bought this vehicle on December 5, 2024. Enterprise reluctantly took it back to their service department and checked the vehicle's steering and brakes, denying there was anything wrong with either. The manager at Enterprise stated that the sound I was hearing was normal wear and tear on the vehicle but I am still hearing the clicking and squeaking sound and when I turn the wheel it still feels sticky. There have been no warning lights flashing on the dash, but again, the wheel continuously feels sticky, and I have to overcorrect my turns. There is also a clicking and squeaking sound when I turn the wheel.

Steering needs excessive correction

The vehicle's steering started to feel harder or sticky when making turns (right turn particularly) since March 2024 (with the mileage around 33500). When making turns, you always feels some resistance or stickness of the wheel or noise especially for some long or sharp turns (ramps on the high ways or big turns). The probably had been on and off but had been consistent recently. We took the vehicle to the dealer on 10/4/24 and they claimed they cannot reproduce the problem but told us that they had been notice the same problems for other CRV and we need to wait for the official recall. Now the problem had been getting worse and it had been affecting the driving and safety when making turns.

Vehicle has steering issues that act up intermittently and sporadic. The steering issue has been intermittent for the past 8 months or so. When I am going around a right-hand curve in the road the steering wheel will get "sticky" or stuck in a certain spot and require more force than is generally required to turn the wheel. In other words, normally the steering is like butter and moves easily and freely in any direction. But when this issue occurs the steering is no longer easy to move but gets stiff or "sticky" in a certain location. Also, if I am making a sharp right hand turn from one street onto another the steering sometimes makes a click noise and I get a vibration and leftwards tugging sensation feeling to the left in the steering wheel. This is also a very intermittent and sporadic problem. I feel this is a safety issue because the "sticky steering" is alarming while you are driving and there is the potential for one to overcompensate and possibly crash. I took the vehicle back to where I bought it in April 2024 for this steering issue. I bought it at JONES HONDA, MANHEIM PIKE, LANCASTER PA. Jones simply told me that they could not duplicate the problem and I should return when the vehicle is experiencing these issues. I returned one week later when the car was acting up for me but the technician rode along and I could not get the car to act up again on our ride. The problem is very intermittent and that makes it especially difficult to get fixed. However, having said that, I don't feel Jones Honda has been honest with me about what they know about similar complaints and I don't feel Jones has made a good faith effort to do what is required to fix the issue. There are no odd warning lights or anything that comes on which might help pinpoint the issue.

I was thrilled to hear that there is a recall for Honda Cr-V steering problems. When I searched my VIN, there is no recall for my car. My steering has been problematic since this summer - there is resistance to turn the wheel when making a turn and at times there is a clicking/sticking noise that happens. HONDA, PLEASE RECALL ALL VEHICLES THAT ARE AFFECTED.

Recently purchased a used 2022 honda crv. We t99k a trip to Denver and I noticed the steering wheel became "sticky" above 35mph. I had to be careful not to overcompensate. I read up on this problem and found out similar models from 22-24 are effected but there's no active recall. I haven't taken it to a dealer yet. Wanted to make the NHTSA aware my vehicle has a similar issue in hopes that something will be done that is not at my expense. The problem still persists since the original discovery. The vehicle has 43000 miles so it is no longer under warranty.

My steering has a "sticky" moment when I try to turn right. It happens after 20 min. drive and is worst on speed over 55 m/h on highway when is difficult to keep the car in lane. I went to Honda dealer 2 times, but because there is no warning light on dash board, they were not concern. They tested my car on back roads on slow speed and when the engine was cold, no more than 5 min. They didn't reproduce the condition when this "sticky steering" happens on my car. This problem happened in my first year of lease after 10,000 miles when it was just a light sticking when turn right. Now after 22,000 miles the problem is worst even a noise as "crack" comes some times from my front wheels. Dealer told 'me they can't do anything until a recall is coming or something happen to my car like a stuck steering. This is not normal to wait until I would have an accident because of power steering

Steering sticking when turning the steering wheel it seems to stick in certain locations

There is a point in the steering system where the wheel sticks momentarily, both left and right. It only happens after driving long distances when the car is fully warmed up. My wife was downright frightened driving it from Missoula to Spokane WA on [XXX] at free way speeds, there are many curves in this road and it stuck repeatedly. She was able to force it past the point of resistance each time but it's very disconcerting. Honda dealer in Spokane test drove it and says it's fine. We are trying to get it in again and demand that the rack and pinion be replaced. I have a video of what it does - after a long drive as I was pulling into the garage it was sticking and I was able to capture it. prior complaint # 11588279 steering wheel "sticks" while driving, Honda replaced part # 53620-TLA-A30 power steering rack on 5/22/24 mileage 33,781. 7/28/24 same issue, nearly caused a collision when vehicle was "directed into oncoming lane" during a low speed left hand turn in a residential area. Vehicle taken back to local dealership, same part they replaced on 5/22/24 is being replaced again . On 7-30-24 was notified by local Honda dealer the part is on back order for "6-8 weeks" and is listed as "Critical". Vehicle is currently parked and can not be driven until fixed. current mileage 37,838. told the 2022 CRV uses the same power steering rack as the Honda Civic which has had numerous complaints about the steering wheel sticking. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking spot at 2 MPH, the steering wheel locked while straightening the wheel, and the passenger side rear panel crashed into a cement post. There were no reported injuries, police report, or air bag deployments. While making turns and driving around curves, the steering wheel continued to seize. In addition, the vehicle was jerking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. I am experiencing steering wheel sticking and clunkig after the car warms up and typically 40 minutes into the drive. The dealership has denied this and claimed it was a low voltage issue with the battery. While turning in a gentle curve it sticks and requires more effort to steer and also makes a clucking sound. I am concerned about the ability to control my vehicle and that if the steering sticks I may crash. I have reported the issue with Honda but they say that all I can do is take the car to the dealership for diagnostics. Two different dealerships have had it for extended times and claimed nothing is wrong however I have video of me driving and this occuring on multiple occassions. Honda's denial of this issue will cause injuries to bystanders. No warning lights have come on. The issues began in november of 2023 and are progressively getting worse.

“Sticky steering” Seems like there is an investigation into this already but no recall for the 2022 cr-v. Sticky steering causes the wheel to stick in place and require more force to turn the wheel resulting in dangerous jerky steering at high speeds.

Lately there is resistance in the steering. When driving with wheel in "fixed" position such as straight lane or gradual turn on exit ramp, it is more difficult to turn the wheel out of this fixed position. The problem seems to be getting worse, and I am concerned about safety. What if at some point it resists moving all together and I am unable to steer? Honda dealer checked it out and found no codes and said there is nothing wrong. I have been driving Hondas with EPS for years - this is not typical.

Since fall 2023 the steering has been sticking and jerky, originally at highway speeds but now at nearly all speeds. It feels like lane-assist is engaging but it’s not. This becomes dangerous when the steering requires more pressure than anticipated, potentially resulting in overcompensation. For example, when traveling 70 hours mph and navigating a slight curve in the road, the steering wheel will stick and nearly cause a lane change which requires a quick turn of the wheel. The vehicle was taken to a Honda dealer and I participated in a ride-along with the technician, who could not reproduce the issue. There are no warning lamps or codes visible.

Steering is difficult - it sticks and requires extra effort to steer the vehicle

While exiting the highway the steering wheel stuck in a turn and it extra took force to straighten to stay within the limits of the roadway. The care swerved form due to over correcting and took work to keep it on the road. The steering seems to have a sticking point in it causing to over correct to get past this point in the gearbox. I have also noticed a clicking noise at low speeds when moving the steering wheel from side to side. I had originally thought that this was due to the lane keep assist but this was turned off at the time of the near accident.

Steering wheel becomes "jerky" and sticks, then suddenly releases causing car to move quickly in one direction. Difficult to keep in place. Also makes loud popping sound when turning. This can cause car to come in contact with whatever is beside you, a car in another lane, or a barrier or ditch on the opposite side. This can obviously cause an accident putting driver and passengers in danger and also those not in the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer I purchased the car from and they have stated it is unsafe for highway travel. They said I could drive around town, but that prohibits my driving to other areas. Also, feels unsafe driving even locally. They have ordered new system but says part is on backorder and they don't know when it will be in. There were no warning lights regarding this issue. Car has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or others, just the Honda dealer where purchased.

Problem with car was first noticed around 16,300 miles. The severity of the problem is intermittent. Sometimes it happens about 15- 20 times in a mile and at other times just a few. The steering wheel is pulled to the right when not steering in that direction. It almost feels like the lane assist is on, but it is not. Also, when backing out of a parking spot and the wheel is pulled at a sharp angle there is a creaking sound and the steering wheel has intermittent resistance. The car was brought to a Honda service center at 16,598 and they could not reproduce the problem until I drove the car with them and then they agreed that there is a problem. I was told it needs a gearbox/motor set, which is on backorder. I was told that I could still drive my car.

While on a 5 hour trip on the freeway/highway, when following a right curve, my steering wheel hesitated before returning to the left as the curve straightened out. This occurred at every significant right curve for the duration of the drive. It does not happen at less than 60 MPH.

Steering sticks significantly when turning left, I have to use force to correct the steering when it sticks. On the highway any left steering adjustments from wind or lane changes the steering sticks and I have to pull right on the steering wheel to correct the issue. This is not safe at all

sticky steering while driving above 25 mph. Steering feels as if there is a "catch" in it and will become "stuck" which makes the driver have to make adjustments to the steering wheel to make it "unstick"; especially noticable at highway speed in a sweeping left hand turn. drivers noticed this starting to occur approx. 1000 miles ago, and it is getting progressivley worse. no accident "yet", vehicle has not been seen by a dealer yet. NO warning lamps, indicator lights or messages

When driving 25-45 mph on winding roads, the front right tire feels like it's grabbing the road when I'm following a slight right hand curve in the road - then the steering wheel bounces back when I straighten the wheels to follow the road. The steering wheel feels twitchy while I'm driving at speeds under 50 mph. No one has been injured or put in danger to this point in time when this happens. I had the car serviced on 5/1/2024 and a Tech drove the car but wasn't able to duplicate the experience. The tires were rotated and a 4 wheel alignment was done. However, the same issue appeared after leaving the dealership. It's listed as a 45HOZ05 - Suspension Concern. I leased this 2022 CRV Touring AWD on October 28, 2022 and the Steering Problem started occurring in late 2023. I called my salesman while I was driving and experiencing the problem in late 2023 and told him about the weird steering. The first year I drove the car, there weren't any issues. But at about 8,500 miles, the pulling while steering started. There haven't been any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms before or during the problem.

The steering sticks/binds when making small corrections in turns. When sticking it requires extra effort to turn, and then will over-correct. Problem seems worst when the steering wheel is turned between 15 degrees or more from center. Problem is intermittent and seems to get worse the farther the car is driven without stopping. Left hand decreasing radius curves seem to be the worst with the wheel sometime snapping/popping back when the accelerator is applied at the exit end of a curve. Maintaining control within my lane in a left turn at 30-70 mph is difficult when problem is most acute. This is definitely a safety issue which is disconcerting at best and dangerous at worst. Sometimes can feel the stickiness even when sitting still and turning the wheel past 20 degrees off-center, with occasional popping noises coming from the steering box. I am very concerned since this problem has gotten markedly worse in the last six months, even though it is still not consistent each time driven. There is definitely something wrong in the steering gearbox with something causing it to bind intermittently.

Rack of rack & pinion requires replacing. I had it checked at a Honda dealership. Problem was diagnosed. Told the part was back ordered until mid-September nationwide. Was told car was drivable. Internet has many reports of “sticky steering”. Although drivable, driving is not safe, according to many sources. I am uncertain if Honda covers this cost. It is not a listed recall. However, many reports of this problem exists. I don’t want my wife or me to be exposed to harm & we could harm others. Honda should take greater efforts to quickly take care of this dangerous situation.

My car has 10,800 miles on it. Yesterday as I was driving, I noticed the steering wheel sticking to where it needed extra force to turn it past that point. This is happening at very low speeds and at highway speeds. There is also a click/clunk noise that sounds like it’s coming from under the hood whenever this steering issue happens. Having to force the wheel makes me overcorrect which could make me go into another lane. I’m taking it to a dealer tomorrow. There are no warning lights or messages.

My 2022 CRV has had an intermittent issue where the steering wheel will stick when driving on extended gradual turns such as freeway off-ramps. The sticking steering has caused me to over steer multiple times. I notice that when the issue is present that there is also a creaking noise when turning the wheel. I have brought the vehicle to two different honda dealers and neither has been able to replicate the issue. There are no warning lamps or messages when the problem state occurs.

When vehicle is operating on a curve either going left or right the steering is binding requiring driver to apply force to correct steering. First year had not experienced. This year it is progressively getting worse. Vehicle was purchased June 2022 and now April 2024. I am reading this complaint across multiple on-line platforms for Honda CR-V's.

Steering wheel sticking while driving and requiring more effort to turn

The steering wheel feels sticky, especially when taking a gentle left curve and also when driving straight. This started happening after about 7500 miles. The amount of force needed to break the stickiness isn't much, but it is unsettling and causes concern. It almost stays in place when releasing both hand from the wheel. I think this should be associated with investigation number EA23003. I brought the vehicle in to the dealer but was told to schedule a diagnostic appointment which has yet to be done. There are no warning lights or alerts concerning this

My wife's Honda 2022 CRV EXL Steering started sticking at about 10,000 miles September 2023. I got it to dealer last week 4-1-2024 at 15,000 miles and they confirmed Rack and Pinion had to be replaced. The parts are on back order with a September 2024 delivery date! This is unacceptable!! The car is almost and possibly dangerous to drive! Honda has known about this issue for a long time now. Oh and the dealer had 5 cars with the same issue ahead of me with September parts delivery date!!

When driving, the steering "sticks" when making a left turn. You have to forcefully turn it back to the right to straighten the vehicle out. It has been doing this for about 6 months, but has progressively gotten worse. The issue was confirmed at the Honda dealer service shop where we purchased the vehicle. They told us it would cost $2,960 to have it repaired. They said it was the electronic steering gear. The car is out of warranty because of mileage, even though we purchased it new in September of 2022. The service rep said he has at least 10 others waiting on the same repair.

While driving, occasionally the steering wheel becomes sticky or locks while turning. Because its sticky, it can cause to oversteer.

When steering along long curves on the highway and then trying to straighten the steering wheel, the steering wheel will feel stuck and take a bit more force to overcome the position it gets stuck at before being able to be straightened out. Adding this amount of force to overcome the stuck steering wheel causes the car to swerve slightly. This typically is observed on sweeping curves to the right. Appears to follow NHTSA inv #EA23003

The steering wheel will freeze up, and I have to forcibly jerk the wheel to the opposite direction to return directional control. This typically happens at freeway speeds in sweeping right hand turns. This problem has gotten worse over time. Problem not common in left hand turns, or at lower speeds.

-the car is rolling right and left even during the lane keeping assistance is on. -the driver seat started to deteriorate. -the air-condition compressor start to be noisy, no enough cooling even though it was winter season. - during the moderate bad weather all driver assist system cannot operate, while my last vehicle was better ( Hyundai elantra). - remote start engine does not work properly, while other cars is working ( same model, and same distance and direction)
