On 12/19/2025 my car was parked at my place of work between 12pm and 1pm my back window suddenly shattered from the middle of the window. I have seen other reports of Honda HRV having the same issues as well as some other CRV owners from recalls for HRV and online forums of CRV owners reporting the same issue with sudden back window combustion. I contacted Honda and several different departments to report this.

MY 2023 Honda CRV sport hybrid has an issue, I guess it’s transmission. When I go for long drives, after driving an hour or hour an half in highway, it seemed like, transmission stuck. Even though I escalated my gas pedal and car is on around 50mph, the car speed doesn’t go up even though rpm is hitting on 75 to 80. It’s dangerous to drive in highway where speed limit is 65 mph and my car is going 50 mph. I went to dealer but they can’t figure out the issue. I face same issue in multiple times.

the moon roof shattered as we were driving. luckily the inner sun shade was pulled. Crazy to have tempered glass above you. we could have not had that cover closed and glass could have rained down on us.

On [XXX], at approximately [XXX]. I was traveling down the [XXX] . It was a clear morning and the traffic was light. There were no warning signs or messages displayed prior to the glass shattering. It was startling as I was going 70-75 mph when this happened. While driving my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport on the morning of [XXX], the sunroof glass exploded. After the dealerships inspection, I was informed that repairs were not covered by warranty or recall. As stated previously it was a clear morning, the traffic was light and there was nothing near me that could have dropped on my roof and shattered my sunroof. I have included pictures for your review. On 9/15/25 at 11:30am I spoke to Honda Corporation customer service. I was informed that at this time there is no open warrantee for this issue. She stated it had been reported to Honda. The theft occurred despite the vehicle being locked and parked in my parking area. The theft method likely involved bypassing the CAN bus system, a known vulnerability in modern vehicles. Honda later issued a product improvement notice regarding enhanced anti-theft software, which I received(8/26/25) after the incident. This suggests that the manufacturer was aware of the security flaw but did not proactively notify owners or offer preventive upgrades before thefts occurred. Will Impact: • Financial loss due to theft and insurance deductibles • Emotional distress and ongoing safety concerns • Time-consuming police and insurance procedures • Lack of timely manufacturer support or warning • Police report (NYPD case number: [XXX]) I urge NHTSA to investigate the security vulnerabilities in Honda CR-V Hybrid models, particularly regarding CAN bus access and lack of proactive anti-theft measures. Started car to leave from work and as I drove out of parking lot, every warning light came flashing on and car would not accelerate over 20mph and kept fluctuating the speed up to 20..luckily not too far from dealer and drove straight there. They say it looks like Throttle Body needs to be replaces. Have had issues with this car making noise between 30-35mpg since I have had and it still not diagnosed...now this.

My system failed when my vehicle was stolen in less than 5 minutes, was not supposed be not so easy to open and my vehicle system was damaged and my door while being locked I had to located my vehicle by a AirTag i have this vehicle for less than two years.

I was in the collision accident on the service road when my new Honda CR-V 2023 started skidding to the left while I was making the smooth turn to the right, the vehicle was pulling to the left side of the road, hitting the metal guardrail on the driver side. Looked like I lost traction and skid from left then to the right , unable to control and maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was in steering recall but I was not aware of that, did not receive any notice of the recall. If this accident had never happened I probably would continue driving the unsafe vehicle and be more in a severe crash. The vehicle' steering column did not work and the vehicle was not drivable after the accident, and was towed to the car repair shop. I immediately notified the State Farm insurance about the collision but nobody told me I had to call the police.

Recall Notice Issued 11/13/24 Fuel Pump Repair Not Available Yet. Gas mileage has gone down considerably from 35.9 to 29.6 miles per gallon.

Drove car for about 10 minutes, parked car while the engine was still running (approx 5 minutes) then began driving on 25 mph roadway with light traffic (4 lane road). After driving for a couple of minutes, I could no longer accelerate to maintain the speed, all the warning lights came on the instrument panel (see attached pictures for some of the alert messages), and a message came on the dash that said something along the lines that get off the roadway immediately but safely. Upon finding a parking lot about 0.5 mile away, it was very difficult to slow down as brake pedal felt hard- I had to slam on the brakes for it to begin coasting to a stop. Once parked, I turned off the car. When turning on the car again, all the warning lights came on and warning messages started to cycle through on the dash. My safety and the safety of others were greatly affected as I could not stop the vehicle adequately. When towed to the Honda dealership, the dealership was unable to reproduce the symptoms. The Honda Dealership said they would not diagnose the vehicle since it was modified by a QAP mobility equipment dealer. When towed to the mobility dealer, who installed adaptive equipment, they too were unable to reproduce the symptoms. The vehicle was inspected but no issues found with adaptive equipment. See attached invoices and photos of the warning lights.

This improperly produced component may swell during use, which compromises the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. Furthermore, the worm gear's spring preload was set too high, escalating the sliding force between these parts. Consequently, the combination of reduced grease film and increased friction leads to greater resistance during steering. Safety Risk The heightened friction between the worm gear and worm wheel results in increased steering effort and difficulty, significantly elevating the risk of a crash or injury. (2) Recall Summary American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is urgently recalling certain 2023-2025 multi-model year Honda vehicles due to critical defects in the high-pressure fuel pump. The improper production has led to the formation of cracks at the solenoid core component, which can result in a dangerous fuel leak during operation, especially in lower mileage vehicles. Safety Risk The presence of a fuel leak poses an extreme risk, as it can ignite in the presence of an ignition source. This scenario significantly heightens the risk of fire, crash, or serious injury, demanding immediate attention and action. I contacted the American Findlay Honda Management Department in Henderson, Nevada, only to be hit with a stark refusal; they will not place me in a new 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. As a long-time customer, I felt utterly bewildered and crushed by this response. Just weeks ago, they aggressively pushed this specific vehicle to me, fully aware that significant recalls were on the horizon. This is not just terrible news—it’s a blatant betrayal by management! I am seriously contemplating legal action against American Honda and Findlay Honda in Henderson, Nevada. Their actions scream deceit and predation; they are nothing less than crooks and sharks

I purchased a 2023 Honda CR-V LX from Serra Champaign Honda on August 9th. As soon as I drove on the highway, I noticed that the side mirrors were shaking excessively. The driver's side mirror shakes violently at speeds above 50-60 mph, while the passenger side mirror shows minor vibrations at speeds above 70 mph. This causes a severely distorted view, leading to dizziness and nausea, making driving extremely difficult and dangerous. Additionally, the problem is exacerbated at night due to the lights. I was extremely frustrated and upset upon discovering this issue immediately after purchasing the vehicle. I have found that many other customers are experiencing the same problem, and I have learned that there is no recall issued yet. I am reporting this issue to Honda for urgent attention. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The side mirror has issues. It is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Driving at high speeds on the highway made the vehicle very dangerous due to the excessive shaking of the side mirrors. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I reported the issue to the dealership, and they acknowledged it but mentioned that it has not been officially recalled yet. They said they would check what can be done under warranty. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The Honda dealership service center has examined the vehicle, but the issue cannot be fully understood without driving the car at high speeds. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps or messages appeared. The severity and danger of the problem can only be realized through actual driving.

I purchased this car in February 2023. The issue presented itself within 2-3 months of owning the vehicle. When backing up in the morning, the lane assist malfunction indicator comes on. If the car sits for long periods and then backs up- the indicator will come on. I have taken the car to the dealership multiple times and they do not have a fix. I called American Honda and they say the dealership is responsible for fixing and there is nothing they can do. I have recently noticed that the cross traffic sensor does not always catch and alert as well. The mechanic did say this is a common issue with crv based on their message board chat (which he showed me in August 2023) and waiting on Honda to find a fix.

It's happened 3 times now. Car "phantom breaks" at highway speeds. Clear and open road. Then every single warning light the car has comes on. When you lose power, you can accelerate. Last time it happened I was nearly rear ended by 2 cars. Honda cannot figure it out. They keep putting bandaids on this issue but the reality is they can't duplicate and more of the same issues are popping up online from 6th generation owners. The CRV has a major issue. It's only a matter of time before there is another recall. I want to start the lemon process as Honda has had my car for more than a month and on 3 different occasions and cannot give me an answer. It's all fluff, pushing me closer and closer to my warranty expiring. Picture submitted shows all warning lights. I

My vehicle component or system that I believed malfunctioned was the steering wheel. My vehicle steering wheel feels at times like it got lock while driving on the highway and off the highway. My vehicle is available for inspection at any time upon request. Due to this problem with my vehicle I panic for a couple of seconds, took my eyes off the road, without keeping a safe distance with other drivers. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. I have taken my vehicle for regular services and have reported this problem to my dealer. But nothing has been found wrong with my vehicle as of today. My vehicle has not been inspected by the police, insurance representative or others since my dealership has not found anything wrong with it. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the problems. I have taken my vehicle for other concerts as well that have been corrected but this with my steering wheel.

This vehicle has the sticky/jerky steering problem. It started around 5500 miles. It is an intermittent problem that is very noticeable when it is cool outside. This is the same problem that the NHTSA has been investigating (investigation EA23003)

Electronic power steering gearbox, faulty (Sticky steering) The steering wheel constantly sticks in position where you have to continually correct the direction its pulling you. The dealership is aware and has confirmed the issue. Replacement parts have been ordered but there is a three plus month backorder. (accident concerns if issue gets any worse) No warning lights or messages activate with this issue.

Horn installed in vehicle sounds like a Clown’s horn. When we have needed the horn to prevent an accident the other drivers are unable to hear this horn. Honda needs to add a second horn to all the vehicles so that it is louder and has a tone that is more likely to alert other drivers of a problem. A Honda dealer has developed an upgrade kit to allow for the installation of a second horn. I have attached a copy of receipt for the purchase of this part.

When driving, especially on the interstate/high speeds, my steering wheel feels to be locked into place. I am unable to easily turn left or right to stay in my lane without a jerk/sticky feeling in the wheel. It feels like I have cranked the wheel as far as it will go, but the wheel is centered. The steering wheel will also occasionally randomly jerk small amounts either left or right. It makes interstate driving feel very unsafe and like I do not have full control. I had my alignment fixed a few months ago, but I have not taken it back to the dealership for this issue. No warning lights/messages.

The actual component or system is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety issue is that the vehicle will drift into another lane even though both green lane indicators are illuminated posing a risk to myself and other drivers. The dealer mechanics stated that they could not verify or reproduce the problem. I reported the issue to Honda USA but they stated that they had no technical staff available that could provide information on the subject and that I would have to go back to the dealer. The dealer mechanics were unable to detect or resolve any problems with either system despite multiple attempts. Both the LKA and LDW error lights with instructions to "see dealer" had come on multiple times before the safety incidents. On a possibly related note, the Back Up Guidance System does not work on occasion and when that happens, the navigation system is very slow to come on. The navigation system comes on eventually after about 2 blocks of driving. I asked the dealership if they could check the software or perhaps any RAM memory that may exist as the problem seems to be related to a slow system response which would explain why the system checks out OK when analyzed by the dealer mechanics because the systems may seem to be working properly when the vehicle is parked but not working within their design parameters. They stated that there was no way to check the software or memory. The problem has occurred several times to date but I am only able to list one date on the form so I used 11/17/2023.

When the vehicle is put into reverse, the backup camera comes on but the Backup Guidance system does not come on at times. This may cause a potential for collision when backing the vehicle and is a safety issue.

On 7/12/23 passenger side front door would not close after multiple attempts. I unlocked the doors from the driver side to allow my son in. He tried closing the door multiple times once he got in. I ensured nothing was blocking the door, and it still wouldn’t close. I pulled on the inside handle and tried closing it again. This time it did and I haven’t been able to replicate it again. I plan on having it inspected by the dealership

My car's emergency brake failed to work and my car's rear slid downhill into a 90 degree angle. The front passenger bumper of my car hit the front driver bumper of the car parked behind me. This happened while I was parallel parking in front of my home, which is on right side of a street with an uphill incline. I turned my car's front wheels away from the curb, which is why my car's rear spun into a 90 degree angle. There is a small driveway between my car and the car behind me, which is why my car had the space to spin and slide into 90 degree angle in the middle of the street. I could have sworn my car was shifted to park, but it's possible that I was shifted to reverse or neutral. I almost 100% sure that I initiated my emergency parking break and that it failed to turn on. I had started to exit the driver side door and my legs were outside of the car already when I noticed the car to slide backwards. I panicked and I tried to get back into the car, but I couldn't. My legs were dragged across the street. I have some minor injuries such as bumps, cuts and bruises. My car stopped from sliding when it hit the car behind me. I could have been seriously injured. There should have been some "fail safe" to prevent me from exiting the car when it's possible it could start to move. I'm considering selling my car because of this issue.

A new 2023 CRV Honda than in less than two months it’s sunroof shattered while I was driving in the freeway. It was a very scary and dangerous situation because it sounded like an explosion and several pieces of glass hit my face, my passenger and my little dog. No object hit the sunroof. I took my new vehicle to the Honda dealer to replace the glass. Honda denied my claim. It’s infuriating that Honda states that sunroofs are not part of the warranty because this glass comes from another manufacturer. I ended up paying for a defective glass and I feel that it might happen again and Honda is not doing anything to take care of this defective sunroof glass!! Very frustrated!
