TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 HONDA GOLDWING EQUIPPED WITH A 2015 RALLY WAGON PRL. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE AXLE FOR THE TRAILER FRACTURED AND THE TIRES DETACHED. THE TRAILER WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MATERIAL USED WAS DEFECTIVE. THE TRAILER WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.

2002 HONDA GL1800 MOTORCYCLE. THE REAR SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT MOTOR DOES NOT ENGAGE UNTIL THE NUMBER ON THE INDICATOR DISPLAY REACHES 7 OR 8. THIS MEANS THAT THERE IS NO SUSPENSION LIFT UNTIL THAT POINT, (7 OR 8), IS REACHED. HONDA MAINTAINS THE UNIT IS WORKING PROPERLY. IF IT WERE WORKING PROPERLY THE BIKE SHOULD BEGIN RISING WHEN THE DISPLAY READS 1. I HAVE READ THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS DEFECT, BUT HONDA WILL NOT REPAIR THE ITEM, I SUSPECT BECAUSE IT IS A COSTLY REPAIR, AND OBVIOUSLY WIDESPREAD. AIKEN MOTORCYCLE SALES & SERVICE WILL NOT REPAIR, SAYING THAT THE SUSPENSION MECHANISM IS WITHIN HONDA SPECS. *JB
