The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 45-65 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and waited for two hours. The contact then continued driving 20-25 MPH. The contact stated that the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and TPMS warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone, where it was diagnosed with battery voltage, brake sensor, ECM and PCM failures. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 238,133.

Engine mounts need to be replaced and this is a known issue that Honda has not recognized to take care of the issue. The issue is caused by the vehicle going in and out of ECO mode. This causes wear on the motor mounts which now creates a safety hazard of the engine vibrating and causing more issues. Honda should be replacing these as a recall.
This 2007 Honda Odyssey ex-l 3.5 l engine blue up its head gaskets and barely has 167715 miles on it. Other vehicles of the same type with over 300.000 miles are still on the road.. !!

DRIVING VERY SLOWLY UPHILL IN A HOSPITAL PARKING DECK, THE PRINCIPAL DRIVER OF THE CAR TURNED INTO AN AVAILABLE PARKING SLOT APPLYING SOME GAS, FROM 25-30 FEET AWAY, ONLY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE UNCONTROLLABLY, EVEN WITH THE DRIVER'S RIGHT FOOT FULLY ENGAGED WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VAN JUMPED OVER PARKING BLOCKS AT THE END OF THE SPACE AND STRUCK A CONCRETE POST, WHEREUPON THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CRUMPLED AND THE AIRBAGS ENGAGED. THE VAN BOUNCED BACK APPROXIMATELY TWENTY FEET. WITNESSES ATTRACTED BY THE SOUND OF SQUEALING TIRES, REVVING ENGINE NOISE (BEFORE IMPACT) AND THE SUBSEQUENT CRASH ITSELF CAME TO RENDER ASSISTANCE AND CALL POLICE. THE DRIVER'S RIGHT'S FOOT WAS SEVERELY BRUISED BY THE CRASH IMPACT AND HER STERNUM FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS A DECLARED TOTAL LOSS.

I HAD BOUGHT MY 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY USED IN AUGUST 2017 PRIOR TO OUR SECOND CHILD BEING BORN. IT WAS ONE FAMILY OWNED WITH APPROXIMATELY 75K MILES ON IT. ABOUT 6 MONTHS INTO IT THE AC COMPRESSOR BROKE CAUSING THE CAR TO CEASE BEING DRIVABLE AND REQUIRING A TOW TO OUR MECHANIC. HE FOUND THAT NOT ONLY DID THE COMPRESSOR BREAK BUT ALSO THE SERPENTINE BELT AND THE TENSIONER HAD GONE. WE HAD THE REPAIR DONE AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE UNTIL ABOUT ANOTHER SIX MONTHS WENT BY AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THE AC COMPRESSOR STOPPED WORKING, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL AND REQUIRED A TOW AND THE SERPENTINE BELT AND TENSIONER WERE BROKEN AGAIN. ALL WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE INCONVENIENCE FACTOR IS MORE PROBLEMATIC. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES IN THE TWO YEARS THAT WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF 2007 HONDA ODYSSEYS. I HAVE INDICATED THE MOST RECENT DATE OF THE INCIDENT.

CONSIDERING THE CONDITION AND MILEAGE OF MY VEHICLE, MOTOR MOUNTS SHOULD NOT BE COMING APART.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 MODEL HONDA ODESSEY, ON JUNE 5TH 2018 WITHOUT ANY WARNING SIGNS, VEHICLE SHUT OFF, DASH WENT OFF. TRIED TO APPLY BRAKE, IT DIDN'T WORK. SOMEHOW MANAGED TO PUT THE PARK GEAR TO PULL OVER TO A LEFT TURN LINE TO AVOID COLLISION WITH OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. 911 WAS ALERTED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS BLOCKING THE LEFT TURN LINE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO EVEN OPEN THE DOOR TO COME OUT OF THE VAN. AFTER FEW MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT ON AND THERE WAS NO ENGINE SIGN. NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED. I CONTINUED DRIVING THE VAN HOME. AFTER TWO WEEKS THE ENGINE SIGN CAME UP AND WE TOOK IT TO THE HONDA AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WHICH CAUSES THIS ENGINE SHUTDOWN ABRUPTLY. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AFTER TWO DAYS THE BATTERY WENT DOWN. SO WE REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A NEW ONE. ON JULY 21, MY COUSIN WAS DRIVING THE VAN AND THE SAME HAPPENED AGAIN. HE PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE AND AFTER FEW ATTEMPTS IT STARTED AGAIN AND HE RODE BACK AND PARKED AT HIS HOUSE. ON JULY 24TH, WE TRIED TO TURN IT ON BUT THE BATTERY WAS DOWN. WE JUMP STARTED IT ON 27TH AND TOOK IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP. THEY KEPT IT DOING SEVERAL TESTS UNTIL JULY 31ST AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY OK'D US TO TAKE THE VEHICLE SINCE THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE . WE ARE VERY MUCH CONCERNED TO RIDE IT AGAIN FEAR OF SAFETY TO OUR OWN LIFE AND THE OTHER INNOCENT FELLOWS ON THE ROAD. WE REPORTED THE HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SUGGESTED TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENS WHEN WE DRIVE THE VAN. WE HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL TO STOP, OR IT WILL PULL A BIT HARD ON THE BRAKES. WE CAN STOP IT LIKE THIS, BUT IT WILL WEAR THE BRAKES OUT FAST. ALSO, WHEN WE PUT IT IN DRIVE OR REVERSE, AFTER A FEW SECONDS, IT SPEEDS UP A LITTLE. IT WILL JUST GO DOWN THE ROAD SLOWLY WITHOUT PUTTING OUR FOOT ON THE GAS. IF WE LEAVE IT IN REVERSE, IT WILL ACCELERATE RIGHT THROUGH THE GARAGE, IF WE LET IT. AFTER IT IS IN NEUTRAL FOR A FEW SECONDS, IT FINALLY GOES BACK DOWN TO A REGULAR RPM, BUT GOES BACK UP EVERY 6 SECONDS OR SO, THEN BACK DOWN, ETC... ALSO, WHEN IT IS IDLING, AND I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, IT REVS UP AGAIN ON IT'S OWN. WE HAVE HAD THE THROTTLE BODY CLEANED, AND HAD IT COMPLETELY CHECKED ON A SCANNER, AND NOTHING CAME UP; EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD ON THE SCANNER.

ON OCTOBER 16, 2013, MY HONDA ACCELERATED AT A FAST SPEED UP MY DRIVEWAY AND CAUSED $6,178.37 IN REPAIR COSTS AND SLAMMED INTO MY FRONT PORCH. THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK TO STOP THE CAR. WE IMMEDIATELY INFORMED HONDA AND OUR INSURANCE CARRIER OF THE ACCIDENT, AND THE CAR WAS TOWED TO HONDA IN OLD BRIDGE, NJ, AS IT COULD NOT BE DRIVEN DUE TO DAMAGE. ON 11/15/2013, SEE CLAIMS SUMMARY, HONDA COULD NOT DETERMINE IF THIS AN ACCELERATION ISSUE. THEY NEVER INFORMED US OF WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. HONDA DID NOT PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL CAR, SO I HAD TO RENT A CAR FROM 10/21/13 TO 11/26/13, WHICH I PAID $603.96 OUT OF POCKET (RECEIPTS ENCLOSED). THE AMOUNT OF TIME HONDA WAS WAY TOO LONG FIX MY CAR AND I HAD PAY ADDITIONAL RENTAL COSTS DUE TO THEIR UNREASONABLE DELAY. SHORTLY, AFTER HONDA REPAIRED MY CAR, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE THAT THE BRAKES WERE RECALLED. REALLY? THIS IS WHY MY CAR WOULD NOT STOP. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL RECALLS ON MY HONDA. A YEAR AFTER PURCHASE, THE ENGINE BROKE DOWN. I WROTE TO NJ ATTORNEY GENERAL, WHO WROTE BACK AND ASKED THAT I WRITE TO YOU. I AM ALSO ATTACHING PICTURES OF THE ACCIDENT. THERE ARE TIRE MARKS IN THE DRIVEWAY DUE TO THE HIGH SPEED OF THE ACCELERATION. PHOTOS FLUIDS RUNNING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY, AND THE DAMAGED FRONT END. I HAVE ALSO ENCLOSED NJ MANUFACTURER'S, COPY OF THE CLAIM SUMMARY DATED 11/15/13. THIS MATTER IS VERY UPSETTING TO ME AND THE WAY IT WAS HANDLED BY HONDA. MY HUSBAND, ALSO PURCHASED A NEW PILOT, AND MY HONDA WERE BOTH PURCHASED NEW AT THE SAME HONDA. I KNOW THERE ARE ACCELERATION ISSUES WITH THIS HONDA AND THIS WAS AN ACCELERATION ISSUE AND A MECHANICAL ISSUE ON THE FAULT OF THE BRAKES I AM REQUESTING TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE CAR RENTAL, INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE AND A REFUND OF THE COST I PAID FOR THE HONDA IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,931.46. MY HONDA ODYSSEY SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING, AT THAT TIME YOU CAN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL (OR IT IS VERY VERY HARD TO TURN). THIS IS PRECEDED BY USUALLY THE LIGHTS ON DASHBOARDS FLASHING. SOMETIMES IT WILL SHUT OFF (DASHBOARD WILL GO BLACK) AND COME RIGHT BACK AFTER FEW SECONDS. OTHER TIMES THE I HAVE TO STOP AND TURN IT ON AGAIN AND IT WORKS. YESTERDAY IT TURNED OFF AND THE CAR CAME TO STOP THEN I MOVED THE BATTERY LITTLE AND THE HAZARD LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. WHEN IT'S COMPLETELY DEAD EVEN HAZARD LIGHT WOULD NOT BLINK. TODAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND EVEN AFTER MOVING THE BATTERY IT DID NOT GET POWER BACK. I HAD LEFT THE HAZARD LIGHT ON BUT IT WAS NOT BLINKING. HOWEVER AFTER AROUND 5 MINUTES OR SO ON IT'S OWN THE HAZARD LIGHT STARTED BLINKING AND I COULD DRIVE OFF.

THE TENSIONER BOLT HAS SHEARED OFF 3 TIMES SINCE THE SERPENTINE BELT WAS REPLACED. IN BOTH CASES THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND POWER STEERING WAS LOST MAKING IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER THE CAR SAFELY. FORTUNATELY THIS DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS. IN ALL CASES OUR MECHANIC USED ORIGINAL FACTORY PARTS. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY WIFE AND 5 CHILDREN. THEN I TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALER (ROCK HONDA) FOR DIAGNOSIS AND HONDA DEALER ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT ENGINE HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY SPARK PLUG AND COST OF REPAIR IS $3900. THE ENGINE STALLS. THIS HAS OCCURRED MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST YEAR. IT APPEARS TO BE RANDOM BUT HAS BEEN OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY THE PAST FEW MONTHS. LAST WEEK IT STALLED 3 TIMES. THE STALLING USUALLY OCCURS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. IT OCCURS WHEN COMING TO A STOP OR WHEN I AM STOPPED. IT HAS OCCURRED ONE TIME WHILE BACKING UP. YOU CAN TELL WHEN IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. THE ENGINE SEEMS TO START RUNNING ROUGH. WHEN STOPPED, THE ENGINE WILL BE AT 800 OR 900 REVS AND THEN SUDDENLY DROP THEN JUMP UP AND THEN THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND START THE ENGINE. IT ALWAYS STARTS FINE. IT HAPPENS ON HOT AND COOL DAYS, RAINY AND SUNNY DAYS. IT HAPPENS WITH THE AC ON OR THE AC OFF. I HAVE TRIED USING GAS EXCLUSIVELY FROM EXXON AND THEN EXCLUSIVELY FROM BP FOR MONTHS AT TA TIME IN EACH CASE. NO DIFFERENCE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC AND TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES. NOTHING EVER SHOWS UP ON THE COMPUTER. I EVEN HAD IT STALL AS I PARKED IT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP NOR THE MECHANICS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM. TO TRY SOMETHING, I HAD THE SPARK PLUGS CHANGED AND A TUNE UP DONE. THE VEHICLE STALLED THE NEXT DAY. I HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO HONDA AUTOMOTIVE USA. THEY GAVE ME NO HELP OR SOLUTION OTHER THAN TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I AM VERY LEERY TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE!

THE REPAIR SHOP DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS THE CYLINDER 5 COIL HAVING MELTED INTO THE CYLINDER. AS A RESULT, THE SHOP HAD TO REMOVE THE CYLINDER HEAD IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE COIL AND SPARK PLUG FROM THE VEHICLE. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE SPARK PLUG BECOMING LOOSE AND FUEL LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER HEAD CHAMBER. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD OF THESE FAILURES SEEN BY THEM. THE DEALER OF PURCHASE AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE ALERTED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO RESOLUTION. THE DEALER (KEELER HONDA, LATHAM NY) WAS IN FACT QUITE RUDE ABOUT THE FAILURE IN GENERAL. WE WERE CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED WITH THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN UNDER HARSH CONDITIONS, AND IT WAS MAINTAINED APPROPRIATELY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL CAR INTO A DEALERSHIP WITHIN LESS THAN 1 MILE. I FELT I HAD LOST ACCELERATION AND POWER. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE SPARK PLUG BLEW THROUGH THE ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEAD AND I LOST 2 CYLINDERS ON A V6 ENGINE. I'M TOLD THAT METAL DROPPED INTO THE CYLINDER SCORING IT DEEPLY ENOUGH THAT IT CAN'T BE REPAIRED. THERE APPEARS TO BE A WEALTH OF DOCUMENTATION OF THIS PROBLEM FOR HONDA ENGINES AND HONDA HAS DENIED ANY DEFECT OR RESPONSIBILITY. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT IN ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURED BUT THIS SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY PROBLEM, HAD I BEEN ON A MAJOR FREEWAY, I'M NOT SURE THIS WOULD HAVE WORKED OUT THE SAME. WHEN I HAD FINISHED SHOPPING, AND STARTED MY VAN, THERE IT WAS AGAIN, THE ENGINE ICON, FLASHING AWAY. THE NEXT DAY I REPORTED THIS TO MY DEALER, AND THEY SAID BRING IT IN. AS THE ENGINE WAS VISIBLY HOT, I SAID I WOULD TRY AND HOPED TO MAKE IT THERE. GETTING OF THE TURNPIKE EXIT, MY VAN ENGINE QUIT AND LUCKILY I COASTED IN TO A PARK 'N RIDE PARKING LOT. I CALLED MY DEALER TO FIND OUT THEY HAD NO WRECKER BUT USED A SERVICE. THEY TOLD ME TO GET IT THERE SO THEY COULD LOOK AT IT. THE MILEAGE ON THE VAN ON THAT DATE WAS 94,482 MILES. ON FEBRUARY 7TH, WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING AND THE VAN STARTED TO DRIVE VERY SLUGGISH. I CALLED THE MECHANIC I USE FOR REPAIRS AND THEY ADVISED ME NOT TO DRIVE IT OTHER THAN TO BRING THE VAN IN. UPON READING THE DIAGNOSTIC CODES, THEY STATED THAT THE SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE OLD SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS, THE COIL PACK AND SPARK PLUG IN CYLINDER 5 HAD COMPLETELY MELTED AND FUSED TO THE WALLS OF THE CYLINDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THERE WERE CRACKS IN THE RADIATOR THAT AFFECTED THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE AND CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

THE LARGE BOLT THAT GOES THROUGH THE BELT TENSIONER ROLLER INTO THE BRACKET ATTACHED TO THE MOTOR HAS SHEARED OFF TWICE IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS AFTER DRIVING LESS THAN 5000 MILES. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE WHEN DRIVING AT 50+ MPH AND MOST RECENTLY WHEN DRIVING 25MPH. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED AFTER A HONDA DEALER REPLACED THE TIMING BELT, T-BELT TENSIONER AND SERPENTINE BELT. I'M UNSURE IF THEY REPLACED THE BOLT IN QUESTION AT THAT TIME. HOWEVER, WITHIN 500 MILES OF DRIVING THE BOLT SHEARED OFF. THEN A DIFFERENT HONDA DEALER REPLACED THE BROKEN BOLT, TENSIONER ROLLER AND SERPENTINE BELT ALL OF WHICH WERE DAMAGED WHEN THE BOLT FAILED. ONCE AGAIN AFTER DRIVING LESS THAN 5000 MILES THE SAME BOLT HAS BROKEN. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS WELL AS BEING COSTLY. THE DEALER IS CLAIMING NO FAULT, YET THESE ARE PARTS THAT HONDA DEALERS ARE INSTALLING IN THEIR OWN SHOPS. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT TO PROTECT THE CONSUMER AND AVOID POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATIONS. *TR

WHILE TRAVELING ON FLAT, LEVEL SURFACE STREETS AT ROUGHLY 40MPH, CAR WOULD SPONTANEOUSLY DOWNSHIFT (TO 1ST GEAR?) IN A ROUTINE VIRGINIA STATE SAFETY INSPECTION A HONDA DEALER FAILED MY WIFE'S 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY VAN (50902 MILES) FOR TWO BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS (FRONT AND PASSENGER SIDE) AND A BURNED OUT BRAKE LIGHT. I DID NOT AND DO NOT BELIEVE THAT SUCH A NEW, LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE DEVELOPED BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY WIFE DROVE THE VAN GENTLY SINCE IT WAS NEW. BECAUSE THE PROJECTED REPAIR COSTS TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNTS, "CRACKED" COMPLIANCE BUSHINGS AND OTHER UNSPECIFIED BUSHINGS WERE EXPECTED TO BE SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS, I TOOK THE VAN TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOR A SECOND OPINION. THE INDEPENDENT SHOP DID ESTABLISH THAT THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT WAS BROKEN AND THAT THE OTHER ISSUES, HOWEVER, WERE SPURIOUS. THE INDEPENDENT SHOP AGREED TO REPAIR THE VAN FOR $368. I THINK THAT HONDA HAS IN THIS CASE DESIGNED AND PRODUCED FAULTY MOTOR MOUNTS (I THINK THAT EACH HONDA ODYSSEY ENGINE HAS 5 MOTOR MOUNTS). I ALSO THINK THAT HONDA SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL TO REPLACE THE FAULTY MOTOR MOUNTS AT NO COST TO THE VEHICLE'S OWNERS AND SHOULD REIMBURSE OWNERS (CURRENT AND PRIOR) FOR ANY RELATED REPAIR COSTS. SINCE A FAULTY MOTOR MOUNT TRIGGERED A REJECTION IN A VIRGINIA STATE SAFETY INSPECTION, THIS HONDA MOTOR MOUNT FAILURE ISSUE IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

WHILE TURNING INTO A PARKING SPACE AND APPLYING MY BRAKES, THE ENGINE REVVED, BRAKES STOPPED RESPONDING AND THE VEHICLE PROPELLED FORWARD, RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE JUMPING A MEDIAN AND RAMMING INTO A TREE AT WHICH POINT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND ENGINE CUT-OFF. VEHICLE HAS 66,000 MILES ON IT AND IS ONLY 6,000 MILES OUT OF EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS APPEARS TO BE COMMON PROBLEM AS SEEN FROM OTHER POSTS ON THE INTERNET ...SO MUCH SO THAT THE MECHANIC CERTAINLY WAS AWARE OF IT TO FIND IN LESS THAN A 5 MINUTE LOOK AT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT A DRIVEABILITY COMPLAINT BY ME. NHTSA SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS COMMON SAFETY FAILURE MODE FOR THE HONDA ODYSSEY. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE BRAKES *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE BRAKES EMITTED A SQUEALING AND GRINDING NOISE ON A REGULAR, BUT NOT CONSTANT ON A BASIS WHEN BRAKING OR TURNING. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE BRAKE PROBLEM HAD BEEN RECTIFIED. HOWEVER, THE NEXT DAY, THE CONSUMER NOTICED WHEN HE APPLIED THE BRAKE IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH, THE VAN WOULD VIBRATE AND SHIMMY. HE ALSO NOTICED A CONSTANT AND UNUSUALLY LOUD WASHING-MACHINE-AGITATOR TYPE NOISE WHICH BECAME LOUDER WHILE RIDING IN THE MIDDLE SEAT AREA. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENTIRE VAN VIBRATED SO VIOLENTLY WHEN HE APPLIED THE BRAKE AT SPEEDS OF 60 MPH AND OVER HE BECAME EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT MAINTAINING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP, WHERE IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE REAR MOTOR MOUNT, ROTORS AND BRAKES BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT ONE OF THE TIRES WAS BADLY WORN. *JB
