The back up camera image is distorted with yellow, purple and green colors that make distinguishing objects difficult. This makes striking persons or objects much more likely. This is not an intermittent problem but a constant one. The dealer will not remedy the issue without charging a substantial amount (over $600). This should be the subject of a recall.

Honda had issued a recall on the MOST coax cable in 2023 or 2024. As I had issues with mine, and my vehicle was part of the recall, I had it repaired in 2024. For the last 3 months, the issue has started again. When the MOST network fails, the entire infotainment system goes offline. This includes the reverse camera. I have contacted Honda, and they stated they will not correct ongoing issues with the system.

Below issues has been going on for a months now, latest was yesterday (11/30/2025). The rear-view camera image not appearing on the display (a safety hazard). Audio and display flickering or the entire screen going black. Error messages like "MOST Net off" or general communication errors. All of the safety features are failing starting about August 2025. Warning lights are lit for collision mitigation, cruise control, high beam, lane departure, braking, EVERYTHING!!! We replaced the battery but that is not the problem. The transmission was always a problem. The braking assist never worked from day 1. The vehicle is completely defective.

In 2022, in traffic on I35 in Temple, TX, i was in "Drive" and my car went automatically to Neutral and I could not get it out of neutral or turn my car on and off. My two children were in the car and had cars moved, I would have been clobbered. I finally got my car to turn off after several tries, but it would not turn on. I waited a a minute and tried to turn it on again and after several attempts, it turned back on and traffic began to move so I did not have to stop and brake again. This same issue happened at a stop light a month ago and I could not move my car. I did not hit anything in my car, i did not shift it to neutral, it automatically did this on it's own. I finally turned the car off and after many attempts was able to get it back on, put it in drive, and move the car out of the intersection. The automatic engine shut off also comes on and off in my car without me touching anything. it works sometimes and it doesn't. This issue is a total safety concern and should it happen again, i may not be so lucky with other vehicles. Please help with this recall on my VIN.

When driving long distances (10+ miles), the entertainment system suddenly goes black and shows an error message that says “Network Communication Lost. MOST Net Off.” This includes the CarPlay/navigation system, backup camera, etc. which causes distractions, navigation challenges, and impacts safety when happening mid-drive. It takes between 30 seconds and 3 minutes to re-boot. It typically happens multiple times during long drives (approximately every 5-10 minutes) which becomes very dangerous as dealing with this issue shifts attention away from driving.

The rear camera has suddenly changed to a rainbow effect and is very difficult to distinguish details related to be safe view it is designed to display. There was a recall related to the cable connection of the rear camera which is not related to this new color change issue. Honda dealership only offers to replace camera not under a warranty.

This has been an on-going problem since the beginning of the year. For at least the past 7000 miles of driving, my 2019 Honda Pilot has been juttering (Honda Mechanic's Term-not mine). Pursuant to a Honda Technical Service Bulletin on this issue, I paid $1967.06 to change the fuel injectors and spark plugs in the vehicle. This did NOT resolve the problem. Anthony Hart, Customer Complaint Manager from Honda Headquarters in Torrance, CA, told me I had to take the vehicle to the local Honda Service Department and pay the $106.99 it charged for an analysis and recommendation for the repair. I did that. The mechanic acknowledged the problem and suggested to flush the transmission fluid and to perform a throttle body service with re-learn at a cost of $901.08. This appeared to be more of an "upcharge for service" rather than a resolution for the repair. Also, I was dealing with Anthony who insisted upon the evaluation in order for him to authorize some compensation for such. Therefore, I declined the service pending Anthony's response. Each time I get to speak with Mr. Hart, it is almost as if I am a first time contact. I have to reiterate that I am now into the repairs to this vehicle in the amount of $2074.05 with an additional suggested item of $901.08. The costs would therefore total $2975.13 WITH NO GUARANTEE THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED! It is unconscionable that Honda recognizes the issue being so common in my car that it has issued a Technical Service Bulletin; however, the suggested repair DOES NOT WORK. Honda has not issued a recall on this issue; nor has it apparently been willing to reimburse me for the repairs thus far. We are afraid to take the vehicle on long trips for fear of being stranded somewhere.

Our when using auto idle our car, and we press the break our car will sometimes get locked in park and we cannot switch gears. We have been stuck in traffic several times with 3 children in the back. I called honda to open a case and escalated to a supervisor, Case #15600713 and was told because the car was out of warranty. However the previous owner of this vehicle did bring it into honda with our same complaint and they were not able to find the issue. When we went the dealership they told us this happened. So what we know is that the previous owner DID come into the dealership with this existing complaint and honda was not able to help him. We were told we must replace the entire transmission for 9k on a car this is only from 2019 with only 78,000 miles on it. No previous accidents. This is obviously a factory issue. According to lemons laws it appears we have a right to sue because of this safety concern, and the company not standing by its product when it’s clear there is a problem with the auto idle. the transmission light comes on, warns us to pull over when possible, or will just completely lock us into park. The solenoid is not responsible for this auto idle issue. We turned off the auto idle and when we manually do this every time we drive, the car does not stop and the light does not come on.

car stalled and turned off in the middle of the intersection when trying to accelerate from a complete stop at a red light. the traffic behind me almost ran into the back of my car due to the sudden stop and it taking multiple tries to get the car to restart. this has happened multiple times starting only a few months after buying the car brand new in 2018. It is very dangerous. every time I take it or have it towed to the to the dealership they say nothing is wrong with it but it is not normal for a car to have this issue

The rear back-up camera in my 2019 Honda Pilot quit working. Apparently the problem is associated with the infotainment system. Many owners will not fix this issue because of the high cost of repairs, almost $5000. Not having a backup camera greatly increases the risk of accidents.

MOST Net Off recall was repaired on 9/21/24. On all of the following dates, the same issue, Network Communication Lost and MOST Net Off would appear on the screen with it rebooting itself anywhere between 5 minutes and 1 hour. Dates are: 10/18/24, 1/16/25, 1/17/25, 1/29/25, 1/30/25 on two occasions, 2/7/25, 2/10/25, 2/12/25, 2/17/25, 2/18/25, and 2/28/25. Finally on 4/9/25, the same situation occurred without any reboot and now the network screen does not work at all. I am unable to use handsfree phones but more importantly, the backup camera and approaching vehicle notification no longer works due to this screen not working.

I am experiencing two ongoing issues with my vehicle that have not been resolved despite recent recall repairs (fuel pump and hood striker). 1. Acceleration Stutter Issue When accelerating, the car shakes/stutters before finally picking up speed. I initially thought the fuel pump recall repair would fix this, but the problem persists. This affects vehicle performance and safety, especially when merging into traffic or crossing intersections. 2. Electrical / Computer System Malfunctions All Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) malfunction and display error messages onscreen, preventing these systems from functioning. Since both issues persist and could pose safety risks, I am reporting this as a potential defect for further investigation. Since these issues are not detailed for my vehicle, but do seem to be occurring I other models, I don't think it's right for me to have to payout of pocket to fix it when other models with the same issue get covered.

Unknown….vehicle slips at certain speeds and repeatedly does so on a trip. If the engine is turned off, this may reset and slippage goes away temporarily. This issue has been brought to the dealers attention on multiple occasions over the past 2 years, but they have been unable to reproduce except on the most recent visit. Occurrence is more frequent now. Wondering why this vehicle is not included with the recall with similar make and model for the same year for torque converter?

On the highway, driving at 70mph, the speed of the car dropped suddenly down to 40mph. Almost caused an accident as there wasn't time for other cars to break or move lanes. Managed to exit and drove slowly to the dealership. They said it was a problem to the high pressure fuel pump.

rearview camera image is blurry and rainbow colored (mainly purple and green). This is unsafe because I cannot see clearly out of my camera. Yes. We have had it in the shop for oil changes, tire rotation etc, where they could see problems with the camera image as well. We did not pursue them to fix at this time, because noticed there was a recall out for the rear camera in 2019 Pilots. Wondering why our 2019 Pilot does not show up for a camera recall? No. Also I see many other people have written in about this same problem with the same year and model Honda Pilot. Wondering why there isnt a recall on this?.... This is Disappointing.

UNKNOWN. In August 2023, I've noticed a noise, not sure where it was coming from- the wheels, engine etc. Brought my 2019 Honda Pilot into the dealership to get it checked out but the problem couldn't be replicated. The noise is still occurring as of this writing Nov. 12, 2024 and I'm still very concerned for my safety as it maybe possibly linked to the connecting rod bearing failure issue, which my vehicle was not included in the recall list. Back up camera just suddenly started showing a wide range of colors. It looks almost like a thermal camera. I am unable to see behind me when I back up. There was no warning of this and it was not a slowly changing issue, the camera worked one day and then the next time this happened. There are many complaints about this online from other owners. The new camera prices are outrageous.

My vehicle several times has jumped forward when I remote start the vehicle. My car is always put into park gear and the emergency brake applied when parking the vehicle. At the same time the engine starts there is a lurch forward. Dealership does not "know of any issues" at this time.

This is a big safety issue as now what is behind the vehicle cannot be seen such as children or other adults. The dealership believes it is the actual camera that has failed and like I said previously the screen says “camera failure” on it where previously the rear camera image would be.

The reverse camera suddenly started displaying distorted colors on approximately 1/3 of the screen. Turning the vehicle on and off has no impact. The previous recall for Fakra service cable replacement had no impact. The vehicle is garaged at home and has not been in high heat or direct sunlight for an excessive amount of time. From an internet search, this seems to be a common issue in 2019 Honda Pilots.

Dealer diagnostic performed and found that the multipurpose camera internal electronic failure has occurred (report attached). This camera controls the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), automatic headlights and high beams, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Collision Mitigation System, Road Departure Mitigation System. This issue first began in March 2023 and occurs all of the time. I brought the vehicle to the dealership to be inspected. The warning lights and dings occur constantly throughout my ride. I have attached a link to a video that I had recorded and uploaded through Youtube, due to the size of the file. [XXX] Dealer quote states $1579, plus tax for camera replacement and proper aiming. This seems to be a common issue with the 2016-2020 model of the Honda Pilot per online chat boards. The price of repair among people that have either received a quote or had the camera replaced is from $1500-$1800. As this appears to be a manufacturing issue and not due to normal wear and tear, this should not be the responsibility of the owner. I have the auto restart and the engine with shuts off normally when I come to a stop when I have the system engaged. The problems begin when I take my foot off the break expecting the engine to start up again. What happens inconsistently is that when I take my foot off the brake, the engine shuts off, shifts itself into Nuetral, and I have trouble getting the engine to start up again. A number of warning messages may show up on the center console as well. Things like, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Brake System warnings start displaying. I can get the engine to start up again, but need to put into Park then start it. Also, I have noticed the car's collision mitigation system comes on when it restarts sometimes without actually turning off. When I disengage the system, which I do practically every time I drive the car now, everything works fine. The dealer didn't find anything when they ran a diagnostic, and keeps asking me to come in to run diagnostics,

The idle stop cuts the engine when stopped at lights or stop signs or traffic slow downs but does not always start back up. Twice this month I have had to open the door and then press the ignition multiple times to get the car to start again. When this happens we also get an alert that there are other features being disabled. This was an issue last year and the dealer felt it was that we needed a new battery. So we replaced that and hadn't had issues until this month. It happened on the highway this weekend during a traffic slow down, and because we couldn't get going right away we almost caused an accident.

Rear view camera safety issue! 2019 Honda Pilot EX If a pedestrian is standing still, sitting even had a person walking behind car while backing up the car the camera will not warn you at all. I can't believe Honda has not done anything to fix this problem! I had at the dealership and they told me that you have to have a more expensive model or have an add on for $1000-1500. I don't think they care about anything but more money! Please look into this life threatening issue. Thanks

Unknown. There is a popping and static sound coming from the speakers. Also, the check turner or radio is not available. A notification will be displayed on the screen when the vehicle hits a bump in the road, or the street is not smooth.

The 2019 Honda Pilot is receiving a Camera System Failure regarding the rear camera. The info screen shows a black screen where once the rear camera image was. I am putting myself, pedestrians, and other motorists at risk by not being able to have a clear view when driving the car in reverse. The Honda dealership confirmed the problem, telling me I needed to replace the camera and that this issue was NOT part of the current recall for this car regarding the rear camera. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others regarding my specific vehicle. There was no warning or anything prior to the camera system failing. It worked fine one day, then did not work again the next.

1ST OCCURENCE: 45000 miles on vehicle. I was exiting a busy ramp from [XXX] to Fort Oglethorpe, Ga and the Idle stop caused the engine to stall and not re-engage upon lifting the break. I was almost hit from the rear. The vehicle had power but would not restart. I had to wait for it to shut itself down and get it to restart. 2ND OCCURENCE: 62000 miles on vehicle. Almost a year and a half from the first occurrence-I was on a very busy [XXX] and came to stop at a red light. AGAIN, the idle stop caused the engine to stall and not restart. The light turned green, and I immediately turned my flashers on. I had a child in the backseat. Cars still began honking and going around us, leaving us to potentially get smashed from behind on a road that many people travel at 55mph plus! Two nice people stopped and were going to try and push us out of the road. The vehicle would not remain in neutral and allow itself to be rolled. It automatically throws itself back into park. It eventually shut all the way down and was able to be restarted. I no longer feel safe driving my children in the vehicle as this is a HUGE safety concern for busy areas and intersections. This feature can be disengaged with a button but has to be done every time the car is re-started, this button can also easily be pushed at ANY time by accident and the feature would re-engage. The picture from the back-up camera, as displayed in the infotainment center, has become grossly colorful and requires extreme scrutiny to determine specific shapes, rendering it untrustworthy. This happens every time the car is put in reverse. The car gave no warning that there was any issue. It has not yet been inspected by anyone other than myself. I did do a reset of the infotainment system, but that did not fix the problem. This will make visibility more difficult when backing out of my driveway, into parking spaces, etc.

Failure to restart after a stop at a stop light. Happens very often and sometimes I have to be jumped off to get it to restart. This is a very dangerous situation. It has occurred when I have been on a major highway in heavy traffic. One time it happened at night and it drained my battery to the point of my headlights not working. A highway patrol came and rescued me and jumped it to restart. I had a new battery when all this happened. This has been happening constantly for the last year and a half.

The backup camera image is distorted and the coloring is wrong (green and purple) and you cannot see the image from the camera. When researching online, there are numerous reports of 2019 Honda Pilot with similar issues. This situation happens when moving in reverse when the backup camera is on.

Backup camera malfunctioning. Display on my infotainment screen shows vibrant colors, impairing visibility, only when in reverse and using the backup camera. All other screen displays are working normally. In day light the backup camera picture is messed up with different colors green purple and doesn't show clear crisp picture of surroundings hampering the visibility when backing-up and in night time it's actually even worse. This has been an issue for more than a year now and started happening after my initial bumper to bumper warranty from Honda expired. AutoNation Honda Dealership here in Roseville California says it's a faulty camera issue and wants to charge for replacement; but when I search online looks like it has impacted lot of 2019 Honda Pilots and even other Honda models. This should be dealt as a security concern and Honda should replace the faulty camera units as cameras are starting to have this defect within 3-4 years of a new car being pushed into service. Clearly these year models don't seem to have proper cameras which should last a lot longer than just 3-4 years. I already took my vehicle for the cable related safety recall but even after that work was done by dealership, the camera is still not showing proper picture when backing-up.

This complaint is regarding safety recall for 2019 Honda Pilot for "fuel pump impellers" (NHTSA Recall Number [XXX]). It was published in November 2023 but Honda dealers still don't have the parts available to do the repair. The Honda dealerships that I have called say that it likely won't be available for another 6 months. I use the car for business purposes and having an open safety recall on a car creates a significant liability issue for me. Please assist with pressuring Honda to quickly fix the safety recall issue. For several months there was a crackling sound coming from the dashboard/ speakers. I mentioned this problem to my service advisor on at least 2 different appointments and even showed him a recording of the problem. It was never fixed. Finally, My entertainment center stopped working altogether. It would not even turn on. I once again reminded my service advisor about the crackling/ popping sounds and wondered if these problems were related. They stated a cable was loose, reconnected and my entertainment center began to work again. Unfortunately, the crackling and popping sound continued. When using the audio system, the speakers would abruptly make crackling and popping noises, similar to static noises, which caused the audio to interrupt and cut out. Even when I turned the audio off, the speakers continued to make the crackling and popping sounds. This was extremely nerve recking, and caused safety concerns because I was not sure what was going on and where sounds were coming from when I first begin having this issue with the car. It happened randomly. The audio would also stop and dvd would stop working where image no longer appeared on the back screen. I took it to the dealership again today and received a quote for about $1,600.00 to have it repaired. I have found multiple complains online for this same problem. Honda was well aware of the problem and should extend warranty and cover my repair cost fully. I was driving on the highway and I heard this loud noise above my head. After the loud sound happened, I wasn’t sure what had happened. While still driving it sounded like the sunroof came open by itself, so I slid the summer roof cover back and the sunroof was shattered. There wasn’t another vehicle driving close to me. Honda asked me to take to a Honda dealer repair shop to get it inspected. I was told they could inspect it but there is no way they can tell if it was defected or not because the glass is already shattered. This is not good. I could have had my cover open, and possibly all cut up from the shattered sunroof.

The auto start stop feature in my car appears very weak. I believe the dealer replaced the battery once early on and then I have had to replace the battery at my own expense again. Now, after a new battery, it is still appearing weak. I believe this feature is draining the batteries and causing a safety issue as my car seems to be delayed or struggles when trying to start back up. The auto start stop also was not working properly when I purchased the vehicle and was “fixed” right after I purchased the car.

Backup camera malfunctioning. Display on infotainment screen shows vibrant colors, impairing visibility, only when in reverse and using the backup camera. All other screen displays are working normally. The vibrant coloring and overall visibility fluctuates pending how bright the sunlight is and how hard it is raining. I just went to my local Honda dealership (Price in Camden, DE) today to have the cable recall taken care of and confirmed the backup camera coloring is NOT a cable issue, but likely a camera issue. This is indeed a safety issue and I have seen across many online forums that others with 2019 Honda models report the same problem, with the cable recall not providing a solution.

Automatic start/stop does not consistently work - Honda dealership looked into months ago (January of 2023) and adjusted the battery power (or something to that affect), recommended new battery and it worked great again... 8 months out, the auto start/stop has started having issues again (August 2023). They said it looked like an issue with my battery power consumption, which they adjusted. The safety issue is the same - car is at complete stop, remove foot from brake to begin accelerating and engine dies and is unable to restart (battery light flashing and/or states that car must be in park, brake depressed, then press power ON - but this doesn't work). Sometimes it struggles to turn over (start engine), other times it won't start at all for a few tries. There is no warning this will occur until the car just dies. This has happened at traffic lights and in heavy stop/go traffic - in both situations we were almost rear-ended AND caused traffic issues with those behind us needing to veer around the immobile vehicle.

My 2019 Honda Pilot Touring (7 passenger) has a defect with the auto stop-start system that is a major (and scary!) safety concern. On a handful of occasions over the past couple of years, when stopped at a traffic light (and the auto stop-start feature engages) the engine will fair to restart. My wife has complained that this happened to her several times, and finally this week I was in the car to witness it for myself. The car went from drive to neutral ON ITS OWN, instruments began flashing, the "i" indicator came on, and we couldn't get the car back into drive. We had to turn the car all the way off and back on in order to get it back into drive. I took a picture of the dash and will upload it here. I've read online that this might be caused by a cold battery; however, this incident occurred on a warm September day in the southeastern US. Also, we've had the battery on this car replaced a couple of times (a whole other issue that puzzles me). This is scary and dangerous in the middle of a busy intersection! In fact, my wife now refuses to drive the car, so we've switched cars for the time being. We were going to give this car to our daughter in a few years when she can drive, but that's definitely not happening now....way too dangerous! I'm at a loss for what the next steps are and would really appreciate some guidance. I'm taking the car back to the dealership tomorrow for diagnostics, but in the past they've suggested they can't replicate it so it's not a problem. Ugh. Please help.

I am requesting a recall to be reissued to my vehicle. Recall is 23-047:6MX00 2019-23 pilot farka service cables safety recall. I bought my vehicle to Bay Ridge Honda for 2 recalls and an oil change on July 21, 2023. When I picked up my car, I was told everything has been completed. The next day I received a text from Bay Ridge Honda stating parts for my vehicle have arrived. That is when I looked over my invoice and it stated parts were on special order. I texted back Bay Ridge Honda the next day and they stated there were no open recalls on my car and all recalls are completed. I received a call 2 minutes from them, telling me to bring back my car as the recall has not been completed. I bring back my car on July 28, was told it would be about 2 hours to complete. I go back in 3 hours, was told the vehicle would be ready in a few minutes. I wait one hour later and am told that the parts are defective. Of course I’m upset at this point and told them to put the recall back to my VIN and I would go to another Honda. As of today, the open recall is not on my vehicle. Please update. Thanks. On or about June 15, 2023 I put my 2019 Honda Pilot in reverse and observed the dashboard screen displaying an assortment of green and purple colors, which is blocking the rearview image, making backing up unsafe. My vehicle is just shy of 5 years old and only has 33,000 original miles, has never been involved in an accident and is always garaged. This image occurred at the same time that NHTSA issued recall 23V-431. Prior to this time frame, the backup camera image was perfect. It is my belief that this issue is directly related to the aforementioned recall. My local Honda dealer complied with the recall repairs and advised that the camera unit itself was bad. I doubt this assesment, as the camera has no moving parts.

Took the car to dealer and got car back in the same condition. Do not feel that Honda has a fix! It stalled and the dash told me to put the car in park and press the start button and the brake. I tried it several times before it started back up. Very dangerous situation. The transmission has slipped now twice while driving. The car keep on giving jerks hard after the car starts moving The car is in automatic drive mode. During acceleration, the car will jolt forward, also when using the brakes. The dealer did recognize the problem but said it is not covered by warranty and that transmission needed to be flushed… which was going to cost $740 and parts extra. After initial diagnostics recommended to flush transmission fluid 3 times. For even Diagnose they charged me $179 . I Have done maintenance on time Transmission fluid was change before 30000 miles for the first time and now they are asking to flush it 3 times ,As per Honda Manual recommendation every 30000 miles we need to change Transmission fluid . They should replace either Transmission or do the service free of cost under powertrain warranty(60000 miles) as I only have 46800 miles within 4 years of purchase.

While waiting at a busy intersection, waiting to turn left, the idle stop malfunctioned and the engine would not restart. I was left in the middle of a busy intersection with my son in the car. After 20 minutes I finally disconnected and reconnected the battery in order to get the car out of the intersection. I have had this problem for the past 4 years and have been given different possible solutions over the years. They've told me it was a software problem, then they told me I should stop connecting my phone to the car, then I was told I needed a new battery. Obviously none of those "fixes" have worked. I have an appointment later this week to address this latest incident. There were no warning messages before the failure but now there is a "remote starter" warning, the heat and A/C no longer turn on and my seats no longer move.

One time I went to garage and opened passenger door without vehicle on and the camera /radio lit up.?? It did go off. According to a Honda dealership, a bracket holding the exhaust pipe under the car snapped and caused the pipe to then lay on the bumper, which melted the bumper. They said there was nothing they could do. This is a manufacturer defect. If a bracket snaps, the bracket should be replaceable. At this point, the bracket needs to be replaced and so does the bumper.

The sensor system for my car are malfunctioning when the car is off. This causes the fuse system to malfunction and power the vehicle without keys being located near the vehicle. The car tries to start as well as the lights flash, dash turns on, and also the horn blares. The fuse system located under the steering wheel sounds like it will spark or blow fuses. The dealer is unable to fix the problem until May because the part is backordered due to many others having the same issue. This has been occurring for months. This issue required the removal of the horn fuse which is a public and personal safety hazard to drive without a functioning horn. The technician with Honda also mentioned I should remove the battery cable every night to prevent the car from draining the battery. The technician himself is also experiencing the same problem with his car.

In multiple incidents, our 2019 Honda Pilot stalled and would not restart. In two such incidents, the vehicle stalled and all systems became inoperable (including the hazard lights) at busy intersections, endangering the lives of my wife and two small children. The vehicle has been to the dealership where it was originally purchased (brand new) without resolution. There were no warning or indicator lights prior to the incidents. Honda has indicated that there may be an issue with the auto-idle system on certain vehicles (which this may be related to), but has not issued a recall despite this incredibly dangerous and life-threatening issue.

At a stoplight my vehicle completely shut off and would not restart until I put the car in park, then pushed the brake and pushed the button to start. I believe it went into the idle stop mode just before this happened. After it turned back on the radio station had switched to am stations and I couldn’t get it to turn back to my fm stations despite pushing the fm button, my fm presets or using the scan. Once to a safe spot after several more minutes of driving I put it in park and turned it off. I then turned the car back on which brought my normal radio stations back on. I just bought this car in October 2022 and have had no other issues yet.

Today is the 6th time our Honda has had issues either the automatic start/stop system failing when at a stop light. The car will stop and shut off like it is supposed to, but will not restart. Car needs to be put into park, turned off, restarted, shift back into drive. This happens while we are at risk of being hit from behind, honked at, and creates an unsafe and stressful driving situation. Car has had infotainment issues that seemed to be fixed, but had issues prior to today’s incident. Car has been only serviced at Honda. No warning lights etc. This issue was reported to our dealer last December and they said the could no replicate the issue. In August this happened again immediately after having the car serviced for an oil change. The car is putting my family and others at risk and there seems to be many others with this same problem happening.

On several occasions my vehicle has acted as if it were going to die at a stoplight or intersection where the brake pedal was pushed enough to trigger the auto-off function. It did not start doing this until the last several months. I assumed it was because I did not have my foot pressed enough. On one occasion several weeks back it acted as if it did not want to start and then today I was completely stopped and stuck at a light, blocking traffic. The battery light came on and it would not let me restart it. After a minute I finally got it started and immediately drove it to the Honda dealer in which they weren’t able to check it. I will take back tomorrow for them to check it out. I’ve also read several articles about this same thing happening so I wanted to report it for the records.

Auto Idle Stop is malfunctioning. When my car turns off at a stop using Auto Idle Stop many times the engine does not turn back on. Then I can't put make my car drive. I can't put it into Park. Nothing happens when I give it gas. So now I have to turn off my car and try to restart the engine so I can drive again. So cars behind me are starting to accelerate because the light has turned green and my car has stopped working. This has happened to me more than 10 times. Now I try to remember to turn off Auto Idle Stop but I don't always remember to do so. I'm afraid I will get hit because it is taking me sometimes 10 seconds to get my car moving again. My car is available for inspection. I have not taken it to the dealer. It has not been inspected by anyone. There were no warning signs although a warning light appears on the dash for a second when the engine won't start. It says something about Auto Idle Stop but I'm so busy trying to start my car again I can't read it.

I am actually reporting two incidences, since the first (never reported) now appears to be related. 1st: In March 2022 (approx 35,600 miles on the vehicle), the vehicle completely shut down after attempting to accelerate back out of the auto-idle stop mode. I was stopped at a traffic light on a Highway off-ramp in rush hour traffic. All of the warning lights and exterior lights started flashing and strobing in and out, but I also had no power of any kind for windows, radio, nothing. I was unable to turn on the emergency flashers, so I got out of the vehicle to redirect traffic around me while I waited for it to be towed to the dealership. They told me that by the time my vehicle got to them, that the battery was completely dead, and therefore there was no data or code. They told me that it had to be the battery, but they’d fully recharged the battery and it was all good. (Covered under warranty) Yesterday afternoon 9/27 I was at a stoplight, once again in auto-idle stop mode. I depressed the accelerator once the light turned green and the car would not move. I looked down and noticed that my car had shifted itself into neutral? It would not allow me to put it back in park and/or restart. By now I am trying to wave the people behind me to go around, when I look up and see there’s some kind of message scrolling across the driver’s display; something about a wrong gear? There were cars stuck behind me, so I was in a bit of a panic mode. I took a few breaths and tried again. I fully depressed the brake, was finally able to put the car back into park and restart the car. I am bringing the vehicle in for service tomorrow (I am now outside of warranty) after just having a comprehensive 40,000 mile service completed on Sept 10. Note: vehicle was purchased brand new and has been 100% dealer serviced.

Two incidences occurred within one hour. When in park the vehicle suddenly shifted to neutral and began to roll backwards. The second incident occurred 30 minutes later. When stopped at a traffic light the vehicle again shifted into neutral on its own and would not allow you to switch to drive with out turning off the vehicle and then back on again. Both could have resulted in catastrophic injury. This vehicle has been recalled (and repaired) multiple times for electrical issues and has all push button gear shifts. It is up to date on all recall and service notices and maintenance.

The stop-start function has not restarted on a couple occasions. I have been at a stop light released my foot from the gas and the failure has occurred. The vehicle was auto shifted into neutral. Instructions were to put in park and restart. I did not feel safe that I my was stuck in an intersection and I didn't know if the vehicle would restart. There were no noticeable errors that I recall. I have had the battery checked on the vehicle and it is good. As of right now, I have not had it checked by a dealer. I try to remember to disable the start-stop function when I drive.

The pilot turns the engine off while idling to save fuel. Twice this week when I have been stopped at stop lights it becomes unresponsive and I am unable to get the car back into gear. Attempts to turn the car on and off and to restart the car don't work. Both times I was only able to get it started after opening the drivers door... it took at least 1 minute each time. But I am very worried about it causing an accident. I have realized that I can turn this feature off, but it defaults to it being on everytime you start it again.

Starting in early 2021 at around 40,000 miles my auto idle stop working causing my pilot to stall while in stop and go on interstate, at stop lights and and stop signs. Basically everytime the suv comes to a stop, it completely shuts down car. I have to shift back to park and start engine again , sometimes it takes a few minutes and a few tries. Very dangerous have to put on flashers while people go around me. It has happened so many times I turn off the auto idle everytime I get in the vehicle. I checked honda forums and everyone who tried to get it fixed from Honda dealer ( several different ways) it just kept happening and Honda cant explain. I asked my dealer today and they did not have an answer either, do not want to waste my $. I have to keep a note taped to ignition button reminding me to turn off idle.

I recently experienced an issue where I was sitting at a traffic light. The auto stop/start feature had turned the car off while waiting at the light, but when I let off the gas pedal, the feature seemed to initiate a start of the vehicle, but that didn't work. The driver dash lit up saying I needed to put the car in park and hold down the break before hitting the Start/Stop engine button. This was the first time I've fully experienced this happening. I've had similar issues with the auto start/stop feature, but nothing has been consistent to reproduce. I brought it to the attention of the dealership from which I purchased the car, but they could not reproduce the issue. I just thought it either had to do with the battery level being low or something with the starter, but the dealership indicated those looked fine. From what I remember of this specific issue, I did have my A/C running pretty high, as it was a rather hot morning.

Auto stop start is erratically failing to properly restart the car after brake has been disengaged. After arriving at a complete stop, the vehicle will properly shut down when the driver’s foot is on the brake. When the driver disengages the brakes, the engine should promptly restart and the car will find itself already in drive so it can continue to move forward. Under certain unknown circumstances, the car will stall and not be allowed to restart. In order to continue, I needed to shift the car to park, turn the car off completely, and then restart the car. Only then can I shift the car back to drive and continue. This presents a safety issue since once the brakes are removed, traffic behind interprets this action to mean you will be traveling forward shortly. The restart is sometimes accompanied by a lurk which might be also considered as moving forward. This vehicle has not been in a accident and the dealer was not able to reproduce this issue. The issue seemed to occur shortly after another recall was performed for the fuel pump. Auto stop start cannot be permanently disabled and needs to be performed each time the car is started. This circumstance seems documented in PE22005.

I currently have a 2019 Honda, Pilot with approximately 70,000 miles. I have had problems with the idle stop feature since the first year of owning the vehicle. I have had many instances of a restart resulting in actuating the warning lights on my instrument panel and a few times when my vehicle did not restart. My dealer either was not able to diagnose the problem or did not know how. I even paid to have my battery replaced, which helped elevate the problem but did not fix it.I also either have a problem with the automatic braking system giving me a warning or in some instances actually applying the brakes when there is no traffic.Both of these are reoccurring and on-going problems.

Drivers side Sun Visor has lost its ability to stay in the closed position. It constantly falls down approx 5 inches in front of my head when not being used. At this position it pushes against my forehead which to me is a safety issue if something were to happen I would definately have impact in my head since I am a short person 5 ft 1 inch and perfer to sit higher up for visability. It will not go back into its original closed position. I have hit my head a dozen times already and I have only had this vehicle less than a year. 2019 is a newer vehicle and I would consider this a true safety defect in this model. Yes, the dealership has seen this issue and I am awaiting their decision since its passed its 36K mileage for warranty.

There have been several instances where the engine just shut off when I had the Stop/Start Engine functionality in the "ON" mode. Once it was in traffic on the highway and other times it was in residential streets. The car would flash an error message on the screen and it usually takes time to get it restarted. Honda never really paid much attention despite several complaints. The system had been hesitant on occasion which seemed abnormal but again Honda never paid attention when I told them. It has got to the point that I just turn off the option as I get in the car to avoid the engine shutting off on me in the middle of the highway. It has happened too often.

Twice since purchasing the vehicle last year the automatic start/stop feature on the Honda has failed to restart the engine once we took our foot off the brake pedal. The first time was more than six months ago. We were at a light and the vehicle did not start after taking my foot off the brake when the light turned green. At this point traffic was honking and going around us. I started pushing the park and neutral button to make sure it was in park, but nothing worked. I finally got the vehicle to restart by holding the start button on the dash for about 10-15 seconds. When I took it into the dealer a month or so later to have a recall taken care of I brought it up to the advisor and he asked if it has happened since then. I said no and he said it was probably something I did... The second time, was 5/11/2022 around 11 am. I was on the way to the Honda dealership to buy an oil filter and crush ring to change the oil. I had been driving for about a half an hour, stopped at a red light in front of the dealership and it happened again. Once again, traffic on the offramp started piling up, people were honking and going around on the shoulder. I tried the same procedure as before but it didn't work at first. I tried it a couple of times and the vehicle finally started. The vehicle has not been scanned with a scanner since the last time so there is probably a stored code if you need to verify this.

The engine turned off and the car went in to neutral gear while sitting at a stoplight. This happened 2x in 1 day. The first time, the car was in the "auto engine idle" mode and the second time I had disabled the feature so it was at a regular idle. The dash said the car was in accessory mode and to push the brake and start the car. I had to shift to park to be able to restart the car. I had cars behind me honking the horn and was afraid I was going to be rear ended at the stoplight by the driver behind me. This is definitely a safety hazard!

The battery to my pilot failed with either no warning or previous misdiagnosis by two different Honda dealerships. The part is no longer available as I returned it for a core charge. I'm not sure if there are codes in my vehicle that could be retrieved. On Saturday February 12, I was driving my wife and two children in the vehicle ages 3 and 5. The vehicle was stopped at one stoplight, the engine shut-off as part of the auto start/stop and when it did the auto restart the infotainment glitched. It had been doing that off and on for a while and the dealers assured me my battery was fine on multiple service visits. We had to stop at another stoplight and the vehicle shut-off and would not re-start. I called a tow service hoping that they could jump start the vehicle. It would not start and they had to tow the car. I've had my vehicle for 2.5 years and 38,500 miles. I am very disappointed that a vehicle this new would leave me stranded in the middle of the road. I have been taking it to 2 different dealers for service. First Jay Wolfe Honda where I purchased the vehicle and more recently Olathe Honda. I have had both of them check the battery in 2021. Both indicated that the battery was fine. I went back to Olathe Honda today as I had discussed the factory battery with them. I have a service report from September of 2021 that indicates they checked the battery and to see the attached test results. I asked them to see the test results and they indicated that they don't typically attach them because they are printed on thermo paper. The service report indicated the battery was fine. If it wasn't fine, it would have been covered under warranty at this point. There is not a record of what the battery tests truly indicated in September.

Our 2019 Honda Pilot is equipped with idle stop, where the vehicle shuts off when at a red light. The engine is supposed to restart once you release the brake peddle. However, there have been numerous times when it has been slow to start, or fail to restart. This causes a safety concern since you are stuck in an intersection with a green light and could get rear-ended. We are just outside the warranty and a dealer has not reproduced the problem. There are no other indication that the starter is bad and we've had the battery checked to make sure it is good.

My husband and daughter were driving on the freeway normal speed limit, and the liftgate glass blew out. The car is not even 7000 miles, nothing hit it. After doing a little bit of research I came across posts where some people have had issues with other Honda models and the company does not cover glass under warranty. Lucky my daughter was not sitting at the back otherwise she would have been hurt with the flying glass. I feel this needs to be looked into further.

THE DRIVER SHOULD KNOW IF THE BACK-UP AUDIBLE AND VISUAL DETECTION ALARM SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN DEACTIVATED. IN THE CASE OF MULTI-DRIVERS, THE SYSTEM SHOULD ALWAYS DEFAULT TO 'ON'. ON THE 2019 HONDA PILOT, NO WARNINGS ARE PROVIDED IF THE SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY OR INTENTIONALLY DEACTIVATED. SO, IF SOMEONE DEPRESSES THE MOMENTARY DEACTIVATION BUTTON, THE DRIVER DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY PRECAUTIONARY WARNING INDICATION ON THE BACKUP CAMERA SCREEN. WE HAD TWO BACKUP ACCIDENTS IN ONE WEEK BEFORE WE FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. NOW WE HAVE TO VERIFY THAT THE SYSTEM IS 'ON' EVERY TIME WE START THE CAR. WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARMS SHOULD DEFAULT TO THE FULL ENERGIZED MODE. SECONDARILY, IF THE DRIVER CHOOSES TO DEACTIVATE THE SYSTEM, ONLY THE AUDIBLE ALARMS SHOULD BE DEACTIVATED. THE BACKUP SCREEN SHOULD ALSO WARN THAT THE AUDIBLE ALARM IS DISABLED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE BACKUP SCREEN'S VISUAL ALARMS EVER BE DEACTIVATED. THE EXISTING SYSTEM IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND A FATALITY WILL EVENTUALLY OCCUR. THE CORRECTIONS APPEAR TO BE JUST PROGRAMMING CHANGES. HONDA HAS FAILED TO PERFORM THE PROPER PROCESS HAZARD REVIEW (HAZOP) OF THE BACKUP SYSTEM. I HAVE INFORMED HONDA AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD FILE MY COMPLAINTS.

PURCHASED VEHICLE IN JANUARY 2019. AROUND MARCH 2019 THE SPEAKERS BEGAN TO MAKE CRACKLING AND POPPING NOISES AT RANDOM TIMES - BUT COULD RELIABLY BE REPRODUCED WHEN LOCKING THE DOORS. SOON THEREAFTER, THE MAIN DISPLAY WOULD INFREQUENTLY POP AND GO BLACK, THEN COME BACK ON. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO OUR DEALER IN JUNE 2019, OBTAINED A LOANER, AND AFTER THE FIRST DAY, THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE AND WANTED TO KEEP IT LONGER. ON THE THIRD DAY, I PICKED THE CAR UP AND RETURNED THE LOANER AS WE HAD TO TRAVEL. THE DEALER SAID THEY STILL COULD NOT REPLICATE AND THAT THE ANY NOISE HAPPENING WHEN THE DOORS LOCKED WAS NORMAL. SINCE JUNE 2016, THE CRACKLING AND POPPING CONTINUES, THE BLACK OUT CONTINUES AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. THE NOISE HAPPENS WHEN STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON ALL KINDS OF STREETS AND SPEEDS. IT HAPPENS WHEN THE PHONE IS CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH AND WHEN IT IS NOT. IT ALSO SEEMS TO BE MORE VIOLENT WHEN AT LARGER INTERSECTIONS (I.E. LOUD POPS AND BLACK SCREEN HAS BEEN NOTED WHEN AT LARGE TRAFFIC LIGHT INTERSECTIONS AND ON FREEWAYS WITH OVERHEAD SIGNS THAT MAY CONTAIN A RADIO FREQUENCY TRANSMITTER). THE BLACK SCREEN HAPPENS WHEN USING THE NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM AND DIRECTIONS ARE LOST, IT ALSO IS VERY DISTRACTING TO THE DRIVER AS IT CAN BE QUITE LOUD AND SUDDEN.

WHEN THE ENGINE IS DISABLED THE CAR CAN'T BE PUT INTO NEUTRAL BY THE OPERATOR. IN MY CASE, ON 2/13/20 THE STARTER MALFUNCTIONED AT < 7000 MILES-IT HAS SINCE BEEN REPLACED. I WAS IN A PARKING GARAGE, AND NO STRUCTURE TRUCKS WERE AVAILABLE TO TOW FROM THE SPOT THE CAR WAS DISABLED. THE PLAN WAS TO PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND PUSH IT TO THE STREET WHERE IT COULD BE TOWED. THE OWNER'S MANUAL DOES NOT TELL WHAT TO DO. THE DEALER DIDN'T KNOW, EITHER. IF IT'S GOOGLED, A YOUTUBE VIDEO COMES UP, THAT IDENTIFIES AN ODDLY SHAPED DEVICE OR BOLT DEEP IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. BUT EVEN THE AAA MECHANIC WHO CAME TO THE SCENE,WITH ALL HIS TOOLS, COULD NOT GET IT TO TURN. I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP IF THERE WAS ANY OTHER WAY AND ULTIMATELY THEY SAID "NO." THEY LATER TOLD ME, AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, THAT HONDA HAS A SPECIAL TOOL, REQUIRING THREE EXTENSIONS, USED TO ACCOMPLISH THIS DURING TRANSPORT TO THE DEALER. THIS SEEM QUITE UNSAFE. OBVIOUSLY, CARS CAN BE DISABLED IN MANY WAYS. WITHOUT A REASONABLY ACCESSIBLE MEANS OF PUTTING THE CAR IN NEUTRAL, IT CANNOT BE MOVED IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION (FOR EXAMPLE, OUT OF A LANE OF TRAFFIC). IT DEFINITELY CAN'T BE DONE BY AN OWNER (UNLESS, I SUPPOSE IT'S SOMEONE WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO GOOGLE DURING THE EMERGENCY, FINDS THE VIDEO, AND HAS THE SPECIAL TOOL). PLEASE NOTE THE CAR WASH FEATURE WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE THE ENGINE HAS TO BE RUNNING FOR THAT. WHEN I FIRST BROUGHT THIS UP, NO ONE AT THE DEALERSHIP KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS DEFECT. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT MOST CARS HAVE A SHIFT LOCK OVERRIDE LEVER EASILY ACCESSIBLE IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, OFTEN ON OR NEAR THE SHIFT CONSOLE. IN MY CONVERSATION WITH THE DEALERSHIP,THEY SAY THAT 2020 PILOTS AND 2019 AND 2020 PASSPORTS ALSO HAVE THIS DESIGN. I DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY OTHER VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED MY CAR NOTIFYING ME OF A TRANSMISSION ISSUE AND KICKING IT INTO NEUTRAL ON ITS OWN. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED BACK AT THE END OF NOVEMBER, USED AUTO START AND GOT INTO MY CAR SHORTLY AFTER. TURNED ON THE CAR AND PLACED INTO REVERSE. STILL STOPPED, PULLING UP MY GPS AND HEARD THE ALERT AND SAW ON MY DASHBOARD 'STOP DRIVING WHEN SAFE. TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. SEE MANUAL" IT LIGHTS UP THAT FOR A MOMENT THEN GOES AWAY. BUT IT SHIFTED MY CAR INTO NEUTRAL. DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT. FINISHED THE THE GPS. TOOK ANOTHER MOMENT AND PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE. IT DID IT AGAIN AND IT WAS BACK IN NEUTRAL WHEN I WAS JUST IN REVERSE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. THE NEXT DAY CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP. NOTHING WAS STORED IN THE DATABASE. AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY, AUTO START, GOT INTO CAR. PLACED IN DRIVE FOR A MOMENT AND BEFORE MOVING THE ALERT CAME UP AND CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. IT DID IT THREE TIMES. TOOK A PHOTO OF THE ALERT WHICH IS EXACTLY AS QUOTED. I AM AT A LOSS WITH HONDA AND WHAT TO DO. I HAVE ALSO SEARCHED THE OWNERS MANUAL AND THERE'S NOTHING OF THIS QUOTED ISSUE.

AS I WAS SLOWLY PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE, WITH MY FOOT COVERING THE BRAKE THE CAR RPMS SHOT UP AND IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED SLAMMING INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS STANDING AS HARD AS I COULD ON BRAKE AND IT WOULD NOT STOP THE CAR. THE CAR THAT WAS HIT HAD SOMEONE STANDING BEHIND IT LOADING HER GROCERIES, THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT CAUSED HER CAR TO HIT HER AND KNOCK HER TO THE GROUND.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE THROUGHWAY I HEARD POPPING NOISE WHEN I HIT A BUMP, THEN GETS WORSE AND LOST MY RADIO SOUNDS AND CONTROLS ON MY INFOTAINMENT. I LOST MY SPEEDOMETER AND MY INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM COMPLETELY OFF THEN RESTARTS SEVERAL TIMES SAYING LOST NETWORK CONNECTION UNTIL IT COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. I CANNOT TURN IT ON BY PUSHING THE POWER BUTTON. I WENT TO MY DEALERSHIP AND COMPLAINT ABOUT THE POPPING NOISE BUT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE IT UNTIL IT GOT WORSE. MY SPEEDOMETER WAS BLANK WHILE DRIVING. I STARTED HAVING THIS ISSUE AFTER TWO WEEKS ON PICKING UP THE CAR BRAND NEW.I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN THAT HONDA DOES NOT WANT TO FIX OR HAVE A FIX!

THE ISSUE IS RELATED TO THE HONDA INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM. AFTER ONLY 2000 MILES THE SYSTEM BEGAN HAVING ISSUES. WHILE THE DRIVER IS DRIVING, THE CENTER DISPLAY AND THE DISPLAY ON THE CONTROL PANEL WILL FREQUENTLY GO BLANK. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE DRIVER IS UNABLE TO ACTIVATE OR DEACTIVATE SPECIFIC SAFETY CONTROLS INCLUDING LANE KEEP ASSIST, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING. THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING WARNING IS ALSO LOST WHEN THE DISPLAY GOES OUT. THE DRIVER ALSO LOSES THE SPEEDOMETER. FROM THE CENTER DISPLAY, THE DRIVER IS UNABLE TO USE THE BACKUP CAMERA, THE RADIO, NAVIGATION AND THE ABILITY TO MAKE HANDS FREE PHONE CALLS.

I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON AUGUST 10, 2019. WITHIN 2 WEEKS THE RADIO BEGAN MAKING A POPPING AND CRACKING SOUND THAT SOUNDED LIKE ROCKS HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. THIS SOUND HAPPENS DAILY WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. ABOUT ONE WEEK AFTER THIS HAPPENED, THE DVD PLAYER WOULD STOP WORKING AND THE SOUND FROM THE RADIO WOULD BEGIN TO COMPLETELY GO OUT. IT WOULD COME BACK ON EVENTUALLY, SOMETIMES AS MUCH AS 30 - 45 MINUTES LATER. AFTER ABOUT TWO WEEKS, THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUED AND THE SCREEN FOR NAVIGATION, ALONG WITH THE SPEEDOMETER SCREEN WOULD COMPLETELY GO BLACK WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. IT RESTARTS AFTER ABOUT 10 - 20 SECONDS. IN TWO INSTANCES THE REAR BACKUP CAMERA HAS SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS BACKING UP AS WELL. I HAVE REPORTED THE ISSUE TO TWO DEALERSHIPS INCLUDING THE ONE WHERE I MADE THE PURCHASE. I AM SCHEDULED TO TAKE IT IN TO HAVE REPAIRS DONE TOMORROW.

THERE ARE SEVERAL ISSUES AND THEY HAVE HAPPENED MANY TIMES - ALL RELATED TO ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SPEEDOMETER AND INFOTAINMENT DEFECTS. THE INFOTAINMENT AND DASH DISPLAY INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS INCLUDES THE SPEEDOMETER, ALL SAFETY FEATURES, CRUISE CONTROL SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. ALSO THE AUDIO WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND I WILL HAVE NO AUDIO FOR HOURS AT A TIME. ALSO THERE ARE POPS AND CRACKLES OUT OF THE SPEAKERS EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I HAVE DETAILED DOCUMENTATION FOR THESE ISSUES INCLUDING VIDEOS OF THE ISSUES HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING. DEALERSHIP HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR SEVERAL TIMES AND THE ISSUES GET WORSE, NOT BETTER.

SITTING AT A STOPLIGHT AWAITING A GREEN LIGHT AND WAS NOT ABLE TO BLOW THE HORN TO ALERT ANOTHER VEHICLE THE LIGHT HAD CHANGED. AFTER PULLING OVER INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT I TRIED PUSHING ALL AREAS OF THE CENTER STEERING WHEEL AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE HORN. NO SOUND. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP. TECHNICIAN CHECKED FOR A FUSE ISSUE; FOUND NOT TO BE A FUSE ISSUE. AM AWAITING RESULTS OF A DETAILED INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE.

SLOWLY THE SYSTEM STARTED TO FAIL PHONE WOULD WORK RADIO WOULDN'T WORK SCREENS WOULD GO OFF AND ON AND FINALLY THE SCREEN WENT BLACK AND NEVER RECOVERED. THEY PUT NEW DRIVER INTERFACE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK SO HONDA CHANGED THE WIRING HARNESSES INFLOWTAINMENT SYSTEM. IT NOW BACK IN THE SERVICE BC STILL NOT WORKING. VEHICLE IN MOTION. DOESN'T MATTER IF IT MOVING GOING FAST OR SLOW.

AT ABOUT 300 MILES ENTIRE DISPLAY DOES NOT WORK ON COLD START AND THROUGHOUT THE DAY. SCREEN FLASHES BLUE AND THEN ACTIVATES, HOWEVER DOES NOT REMAIN ON. NO REAR VIEW CAMERA, NAVIGATION, OR OTHER APPS AVAILABLE TO THE DRIVER. SCREEN FLASHES WHILE DRIVING WHICH IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND DISTRACTION. REAR VIEW CAMERA NON-OPERATION IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE UNABLE TO VIEW CHILDREN AS THEY CROSS BEHIND THE VEHICLE.

WHEN DRIVING THE CAR, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL (INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER) WILL SHUT OFF FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES, AND THE REBOOT. THIS RESULT IN THE INABILITY TO TELL EXACTLY HOW FAST THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. THIS WILL OCCUR UNDER MULTIPLE CONDITIONS WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE, AND IS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE TYPE OF ROAD BEING DRIVEN ON. ADDITIONALLY, THE CENTER CONSOLE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN, WHICH ALSO SERVES AS THE SCREEN FOR THE BACK UP CAMERA WILL SHUT OFF, FOR VARYING AMOUNTS OF TIME, RENDERING THE ABILITY TO SEE/USE THE BACK UP CAMERA USELESS. I HAVE ENCOUNTERED, ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, BOTH SYSTEMS SHUTTING OFF AT THE SAME TIME, WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE OR REVERSE, LEAVING ME WITH THE UNABLE TO SAFELY GAUGE HOW I AM OPERATING THE VEHICLE.
