Driving down a 4 lane highway in Alabama, warning lamp came on stating “ STOP Steering assist reduced. Stop driving when safe”. Multiple other warnings lights came on—-Brake system, steering system, cruise control, lane departure, stability assist system, hill assist, trailer stability assist system(see multiple photos attached). When it was safe to do so, I pulled over…the steering was VERY difficult to manage. If I had to make a turn in traffic or had to make a sudden turn to avoid an accident, I would not have been able to do so as there was NO power steering. I turned the car off, let it sit for several minutes and the Steering Assist warning was off and I appeared to have power steering but several others lights were still on. Took the car the the closet dealer and only code found was a Low Voltage Code but nothing repaired as all warnings lights were off by then.

The auto idle stop caused my Pilot to not restart as I was taking my foot off the brake turning left on a busy road. I had to be towed as my car would not start. The Honda repair center said there is an Engineering Request ([XXX]) trying to gather information about the issue, but no fix other than having to turn off the feature every time I restart the car. I am now extremely concerned about my safety and others because if I forget to turn off this feature, my car could unexpectedly now stop working and I could immediately be put in an unsafe situation. Honda said they can’t automatically turn off the feature. They have shifted this responsibility to the driver of the car. This is not right and they don’t seem to care when I call 1-800-880-1072. All they said is it your responsibility to turn off the feature each time you get in the car rather than give me options. I asked repeatedly if I were to forget and my car won’t restart after an auto idle stop, what can I do. Could not answer other than I need to be mindful before putting the car in drive. This is so wrong, I could come up with several scenarios now my car could cause me danger and others if it stalled suddenly in a heavy traffic area. What are my option? Over the period of a week there where 6 instances when my vehicle completely lost system power when at a complete stop. Took it to the dealership was told it was a low battery, they charged it, could not recreate the incidents and then released the vehicle to me. One the way to work at the second stop light I once again lost all power. Took 2 minutes stuck at a stop light for the vehicle to be able to power on and start again.

The automatic emergency braking system in my vehicle has repeatedly activated without any visible reason. The brakes engage suddenly even when there are no cars, curves, reflective surfaces, or obstacles nearby. This has occurred on straight, empty roads and in clear conditions. We have previously taken the car to the dealership for issues related to sensors and wiring, and were even told at one point to turn off certain safety features. Most recently, we went through the dealership and escalated the issue to Honda corporate, but they closed our case and claimed there is nothing wrong with the car. I am very concerned that this unresolved issue could lead to the brakes locking up in a dangerous situation, potentially causing an accident.

With the Idle Stop feature on (meaning the car will shut the motor off when coming to a stop, but keep electrical equipment working), my Honda Pilot, at random times, will completely lose all power when I come to a complete stop. This results in the car being unable to be operated and can lead to numerous instances of injury or even death. In order to have the car work properly again as it should, I have to recrank the car completely. Sometimes the motor turns over without issue, and other times it sounds like it struggles to supply power to crank the car. This was a known issue with Honda, with a recall in place to fix it. I completed this recall in April 2025. As of [XXX] (The same day of the MOST RECENT incident), my Honda Pilot is at Hubert Vester Honda in Wilson, NC for them to troubleshoot the issue further. Per their Maintenance department, Honda has opened up an inquiry further into this issue. My Honda Pilot is a 2024 with less than 23,000 miles on it. The vehicle started having issues initializing the auto-ignition system. It would give various notification, like system warming up when it wasn’t cold, or system disabled for some reason. Then it started shifting to park when stopped at light. Then it stalled multiple times when the AIS would initialize. Dealer said it was bad battery and swapped it. Driving away from dealer after service approached a stop light and came to a stop. The vehicle stalled again and went completely dead. No electrical at all. Stranded at intersection. Vehicle has been at dealer for 3 days, and waiting on response. They haven’t been able to find anything yet.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing safety issues with my leased Honda, which I obtained in March 2024. Shortly after leasing the vehicle, I noticed that the sensors would frequently activate and deactivate without any apparent reason. In May 2024, while driving, all the sensors turned on, deactivating all safety features and causing the car to swerve. The sensor lights remained on the next day, prompting me to take the car to the dealership. I was informed that the sensor and a camera required repairs, which were subsequently addressed. Despite my concerns about the safety of driving this car, especially with three children, I was assured that the issue was resolved. I filed a complaint with Honda Corporate, and they indicated that the issue would need to recur 2-3 times before considering a different vehicle. Unfortunately, on [XXX], all the sensors activated again while I was driving, causing the car to stop accelerating in the middle of a busy road with my children in the back seat. This placed us in a life-threatening situation, as other vehicles were traveling at high speeds. The transmission light also turned on, advising to avoid high speeds. The next morning, I reported the issue to Honda and arranged for roadside assistance to tow the car to the dealership. During the towing process, the sensors activated again, and the car struggled to accelerate. Once at the dealership, I provided videos of the car's behavior to Ricardo, the service advisor, who acknowledged the severity of the issue. However, he later informed me that the sensors were not currently active, and the scanner could not detect any issues. Despite keeping the car overnight for further testing, they were unable to identify or repair the problem. I was advised to either pick up the car or leave it with them, but no loaner vehicle was offered. I am extremely concerned about the safety of driving this car. I bought my 2024 Honda Pilot two weeks ago, it only has 300 miles and suddenly all the warnings indicating system failures were activated, engine check, lane assist, emergency braking, emission system, etc., it almost didn't start, it left me in road. It is not possible that something practically new is failing like that with two weeks of use and only 300 miles, that is not right, it is putting lives in danger. honda has to solve that

Bought this brand new 2024 Honda pilot touring model on Oct 2023, the issue starts showing after driving it for only couple of hundreds miles, there is a very distinctive and constant loud popping and cracking noise coming out from the speakers while driving, no matter if the audio volume is set to high or low or zero or even when music player is turned off, looked it up online and found out it is a very common problem for Honda for years now, and it is not just for the pilot lineup, it also affects their other models like Passport & Odyssey, It has something to do with the wiring process and improperly manufactured terminal of the FAKRA connector for the infotainment system. They have service bulletin (#23-047 & #23-046) and safety recall for the previous year models, but not for 2024 Honda pilot yet, I think this issue affect safety because the popping & cracking sound is loud enough to distracting driver while they are driving to the point they cannot 100% focused on the road. And I'm sure my vehicle is not the only unlucky car for the 2024 Honda Pilot model, I hope Honda address this issue as soon as possible, and also please prevent this from happing in the future, this is not my first Honda car, I hope this will not be my last one.
