HE ALSO, OBSERVED A LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL NEAR THE FUEL TANK . THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MOTORCYCLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION AT THIS TIME. THE MOTORCYCLE IS NOT BEING DRIVEN DUE TO THE CONCERN OF A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES NOW IN THE LAST YEAR. ONCE WHILE I WAS ON THE ROAD DRIVING AND 3 TIMES WHILE I HAVE HAD THE BIKE RUNNING TO WARM UP. I LET IT SET FOR AWHILE ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO AND IT WILL START BACK UP AND RUN GOOD. I KNOW THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON SOME OF THE PETCOCKS ON OUR BIKES. I HAVE TAKEN THE VIN # TO THE DEALER AND HAD THEM CHECK TO SEE IF MINE WAS ONE OF THE ONES ON RECALL. THEY HAVE SAID NO. I HAVE TAKEN THE PETCOCK OFF AND TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK IT AND THEY HAVE STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO BECAUSE IT IS NOT ONE ON RECALL. IT IS NOT DRIPPING OR LEAKING. I AM IN A FORUM WHERE WE ALL HAVE THE SAME BIKES AND QUITE A FEW OF US ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING AND IT IS ALL TRACED BACK TO THE PETCOCK.
