TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME EXTREMELY LOOSE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A LEAK COMING FROM THE HYDRO BOOST THAT HAD BEEN RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 04V45000 (SERVICE BRAKE: HYDRAULIC). IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP AND THE VEHICLE WOULD EASILY SLIP OUT OF PARK WITHOUT THE KEY BEING IN THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THE ELECTRONIC PARK LOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:03V075000(POWERTAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN, BUT THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 H2 HUMMER. WHILE DRIVING 1 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL FRACTURED AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT AND SPINDLE WERE FRACTURED AND THE CASING BEHIND THE WHEEL WAS ALSO FRACTURED. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT STATED THE SHIFT LINKAGE FELL OFF CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHIFT OUT OF GEAR WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH. THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN DRIVE AND SHIFTED ON ITS OWN INTO NEUTRAL GEAR. THE FRONT PUMP TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING AND FAILED TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND INFORMED HER THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND HER VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THEY ALSO INFORMED HER TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HUMMER H2. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 35-40 MPH WHEN THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP. THE CONTACT MOVED FROM THE ROADWAY AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. WHEN RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND TO LOWER GEARS. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO LOCATE A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 03V075000- POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) BUT WAS ADVISED BY BOTH THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 124,000.

2003 HUMMER WITH AN OIL LEAK. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE OIL LEAK WAS MINOR AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP. HE WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE TRANSFER CASE WAS WORN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN AND THE DRIVESHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.*KB THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE LENGTH OF THE PROPELLER SHAFT THAT HAD BEEN INSTALLED AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURING WAS TOO SHORT TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT LUBRICATION OF THE REAR OUTPUT SHAFT BUSHING IN THE TRANSFER CASE. *JB

2003 HUMMER H2 TRANSMISSION COOLER RUPTURED WHICH LEAKED TRANSMISSION FLUID INTO ENGINE COOLANT. REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF RADIATOR, ALL COOLANT HOSES AND FLUSHING BOTH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ENGINE COOLANT. COST WAS $1,400. UNKNOWN IF TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGED FROM CONTAMINATION OF FLUID. *TR

2003 H2 HUMMER, TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING INTO THE COOLANT SYSTEM THAT REQUIRES REMOVAL OF ALL HOSES AND RADIATOR FLUSHING AND CLEANING AND POSSIBLY REMOVING THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE OF CONTAMINATION. EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE AND I BELIEVE TO BE A DEFECT IN WORKMANSHIP. *NM
CONSUMER WAS GOING 70 MPH AND THE TWO FRONT TIRES LOCKED, WHILE THE TWO BACK TIRES KEPT MOVING. VEHICLE THEN CONTINUED TO SKIP. THE DRIVESHAFT WAS REPLACED. *AK FOR THE PAST 8 MONTH THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THAN AT THE CONSUMER'S HOME. THE VEHICLE HAS NEEDED A NEW ALTERNATOR, TRANSMISSION, BATTERY,IGNITION AND DRIVE SHAFT. THE ROOF LEAKED AND THE CONSUMER HAD TO REPLACE ONE OF THE SIDE WINDOWS. *BF *NM

A SQUEAKING SOUND FROM THE FRONT, LEFT WHEEL ARE ON MY HUMMER H2 LED ME TO VISIT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. AFTER THE FIRST 2 VISITS, THE SQUEAK WAS STILL PRESENT. ON THE THIRD VISIT THEY REPLACED THE HUB ASSEMBLY. *AK

LIFTED VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO HAVE A LEAKING UPPER DRIVER'S SIDE CV BOOT REPLACED. WHEN THE AXLE WAS REMOVED, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE AXLE HAD BEEN DESTOYED AND THE PIECES PUNCTURED THE CV BOOT INTERNALLY CAUSING THE LEAK. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IN A LITTLE OVER 600 MILES THAT THIS BOOT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHEN THE CV BOOT WAS LAST REPLACED, THERE WAS NO NOTICABLE DAMAGE TO THE AXLE. WAS INFORMED BY A GM TECH TODAY THAT THE DAMAGE MAY HAVE OCCURED WHEN THE AXLE WAS REINSTALLED. NOW I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE GM FACTORY REP HAS DENIED WARRANTY COVERAGE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN LIFTED AND DEALERSHIP ATTRIBUTES THE DAMAGE TO THE LIFT AND THE ANGLE OF THE AXLES. VEHICLE IS NOT USED OFF-ROAD AND 4X4 OPTION IS NOT USED. OTHER H2'S ON WWW.H2SOURCE.COM HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS BUT THIS WAS DUE TO OFF-ROAD USAGE. *MR
VEHICLE DIED 4-5 BLOCKS AWAY FROM DEALERSHIP THE DAY OF PURCHASE. (NAR) *PH PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE POWER TRAIN TRANSMISSION AND BATTERY HAD TO BE REPLACED. *CB
