CONSUMER PULLED FROM THE VEHICLE AFTER MUFFLER OVER HEATER CAUSING VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE. *PH THE CAUSE OF FIRE WAS PERHAPS DUE TO FAULTY HEAT SHIELDS. AT 27,000 THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR AN ENGINE LIGHT AND SQUEAKING BRAKES. *JB
THE CONSUMER HAD TO BE PULLED FROM THE VEHICLE AFTER IT CAUGHT FIRE. *PH THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON AND THE BRAKES WERE SQUEAKY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PLACED IN GEAR. THE COLLISION EXPERTS CONCLUDED THAT THE MUFFLER HAD OVERHEATED AND PERHAPS FAULTY HEAT SHIELDS HAD CAUSED AN IGNITION IN THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE WHICH HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN ACCELERATED WHEN THE VEHICLE'S DOOR WAS OPENED. (THE INTERIOR WAS COMPLETELY BURNT DOWN TO THE METAL SEAT FRAMES) *SC

I BOUGHT A 2001 HYUNDAI IN 2001 AND SINCE I HAD IT. IT HAS 1 NEW BRAKE I NEW TRANSMISSION MOLDING HAS FALLEN OFF OF IT COULDN'T REALLY TELL WHAT ELSE HAS GONE WRONG WITH IT. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP NUMEROUS OF TIMES AND THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM STILL PERSIST. I HAVE TO PAY FOR RENTAL CARS TAKE OFF WORK AND OTHER TIME WASTING THINGS. I AM REALLY DISCOURAGED ABOUT OWNING SUCH A PIECE OF JUNK. WHAT DO I DO?*JB

NGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN CONSUMER STOPPED VEHICLE, AND TOOK FOOT OFF GAS, RPMS AND SPEED ODOMETER REVVED UP. WHILE STOPPING AT STOP SIGN, PUT FOOT ON BRAKES, AND VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD. CONTACT DEALER, AND DEALER STATED NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH VEHICLE.AK
