Recall notice has been issued but no resolution has been received yet. Submitting claim of failure to come to a resolution timely. This recall affects my family and use of the vehicle and our comfort.

The dealer completed the sale even though the vehicle was under an active stop-sale order related to Recall #25V607000 / Campaign 283 (Seat Belt Buckle). The recall remedy is not yet available, and the dealership has refused to release the vehicle after purchase. This situation leaves the consumer paying for a loan and insurance without possession of the vehicle and represents a potential stop-sale violation under 49 U.S.C. §30120(i). Please investigate this case and confirm whether the dealership violated federal recall and consumer protection requirements. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Whenever I’m getting in my car and I’m trying to start it sometimes I will move just a little bit in my seat and my seatbelt will come out of the seatbelt assembly and then my car will automatically put on the emergency brake. This has happened on multiple occasions for my seatbelt will just pop out of the latch without me pushing on the button. This has significantly decrease my confidence that my car will keep me safe in the event of a crash.

My car seatbelt has been coming undone for years- since I bought the car brand new. I immediately reported to Hyundai. They cleaned it and claimed it’s fixed. I left and my seatbelt came undone again. I bring it back and they said it’s recalled but there’s no solution. How is this okay? I am supposed to drive with a faulty seatbelt that unbuckles while driving and Hyundai is going to allow it?? If I crash and it comes undone and I die then what? They have let this problem go on for years with no solution.

Second row window seat seat belt doesn't latch properly, will latch and come unlatched. Backup parking sensor goes off, back up camera stopped working

The middle row outside seat belts have both not latched when trying to buckle and have come unlatched after buckling and latching. This has happened multiple times on both sides and while the vehicle is in motion. The problem has been reported to a local Hyundai service department but since no remedy has been produced yet, they have not been replaced which makes those seats unusable. This is obviously a huge safety concern to any passenger in the backseat and now have 2 less seats in our SUV. There were no indicators or warning symptoms prior to the seat belts malfunctioning. It first started around April 2024 and is still an issue currently

Front passenger side and second row passenger side seatbelt are hard to latch and randomly unlatch.. I took it in for service several times during the warranty to ask them to look at it, and they could never replicate it.

The seatbelt sensor kept going off even though seatbelt appears to be buckled. Dealership identified that seatbelt buckle was not operating correctly and not clicking all the way. This put my kids unknowingly at risk.

The second row seat belts randomly unbuckle when driving even when buckled by an adult. It has happened with both a child and an adult in the seats, as well as with a car seat.

Drivers side seatbelt doesn’t retract correctly when released. Often gets stuck and jammed in the car door. Also it doesn’t tighten enough to be effective in a crash and locks the problem is intermittent and even with an extended warranty that I paid for, Hyundai refuses to cover this and says that they can’t replicate even though I replicated this in front of the service tech and provided a video of this occurring. I have uploaded pictures of the damage the seat belt caused and it won’t let me upload the video of the problem occurring.

The Right Captain Chair seat belt come unbuckled while we're driving down the road, this happened multiple times, every time when we visit dealer, they manually check it (without passenger in seat or simulate the issue) and said no issue with seat belt buckle. There is not option to reproduce and record the situation to prove while driving, however this is life threatening to my kids if the belt unlatched from the buckle while car is on the road. Note: This happened multiple times in 2024 and three times in 2025

The second row seat belt on just one of the seats has done the following: it takes multiple attempts to get it to latch, it will "click" latched and then release shortly thereafter, or it will just release for no reason after being latched for several minutes. Reading online, it appears this is happening to a lot of other Palisade users as well. It started doing this about a year ago and still continues today. It is an intermittent problem and does not do it everything you attempt to fasten the seatbelt. This is very concerning because we have kids in these seats and fear their seat belts could come unlatched during an accident.

Seat belt randomly disengages while in use. Has happened to multiple people, multiple times. Once every 500 miles or so since new, over 80,000 miles ago. Confirmed nothing has been in the way of normal seat belt operation. Has happened to both drivers seat, and second row seat on drivers side.

Second row seat belt continuously releases while driving when used with child booster seat. We have made multiple attempts for problem-solving and resolution, including always having an adult buckle the seat, and attempting to clean all areas to ensure there is no dirt or debris with no resolution.

On several occasions, between 15-25, one seatbelt (2nd row behind driver) unlatches randomly. We know it’s not because of the user. It will latch (and we know it’s latched because it clicks and there’s no seatbelt warning), but while driving it will unlatch for no apparent reason. A child sits in this position.

Our seatbelts all throughout the vehicle keep randomly coming undone which is causing anxiety and stress to hurry and fix the problem while on the freeway, especially with the young children still in boosters that need assistance. Yes, it has put us at risk. No but I did google it and multiple complaints. No, their isn't.

Picked the car of the shop from having the hood and roof repainted. The seatbelt tensioner was broke. Therefore it doesn’t retract. It may have been twisted at one point. But now it just lays on seat. No one can ride in front seat bc of a broken seatbelt.

The second row seatbelt will come unlatched on its own. This happens after ensuring that the initial buckling was done properly. My child is in a booster seat in this rear passenger seat, and I am anxious every time I drive with her in the car as her safety is very much at risk. The dealer has not been seen for this problem as I feel it would be a waste of my time and money. If they replace the seatbelt with the same defective parts, nothing will be solved. The seatbelt warning goes off when this happens and turns off when the seatbelt is buckled again.

On at least three confirmed occasions, the driver side 2nd row seatbelt has unlatched by itself. No other symptoms. Not yet inspected by anyone, but intending to ask Hyundai to fix it ASAP.

While driving the vehicle the second row seat belts, after being buckled for the duration of travel, would randomly come unlatched/unbuckled. This left the passengers restrained by those seatbelts unprotected and leave the owner with no confidence that the seatnelts would hold in an accident situation. It has happened on both sides of the vehicle in the second row seats. This has happened 4 times over the last two years. The problem has not been reproduced or examined by the manufacturer or any other the owner.

The seat belts in the first and second row unlatch unexpectedly. I have asked the dealership to look at it and they could not reproduce it. However, it happens regularly with my children in the back seat. This has been an ongoing issue since I have owned the car and seems to occur more during colder days.

Middle row right seat belt keeps coming unlatched during normal operation. I ensure that it is latched correctly when I start driving. The passengers are not touching the seatbelt when it unlatches. We are notified that it’s unlatched by the seatbelt alarm. This started happening about three years after purchasing the vehicle. After happening several times, we took it to the dealer, who said they couldn’t replicate the event. It happened again about a week later.

The drivers seatbelt and right passenger seatbelt come unlatched. I took it to Stevinson Hyundai where we purchased the vehicle and they said they were unable to reproduce the problem. It’s true that it doesn’t happen every time/can be unpredictable. However, it continues to happen and is a major safety concern. I looked online to see if others were experiencing the same problem and found that many others are.

Second row seatbelts unlatch unexpectedly while car in motion. Seatbelt sensor alarms go off even when seatbelt latched. This has happened in all 3 rows in separate instances. Seatbelt alarm will sound and panel indicates seats with nobody in them have seatbelts that should be latched. This has occurred when an object (like a purse on the passenger seat) or no object on the seat.

I am having problems with the seatbelt buckles in the second and third row seats, either not buckling to begin with (the seatbelt will not latch), or the seatbelt spontaneously unbuckles while I am driving. It is an intermittent problem, the seatbelts sometimes work but sometimes don't work. I took my car in to my local Hyundai service center for this problem in 5/2024 and the technician was able to replicate the problem in the 2 second row seats and both buckles were replaced. The seatbelts all worked well until about a month ago and now I am again having the same problems with intermittent spontaneous unlatching of the seatbelts in the 2 second row seats and one of the third row seats. I took my car in to my local Hyundai dealership on [XXX] and unfortunately the technician was not able to replicate the problem that day. My local dealership (McDonald Hyundai in Highlands Ranch, CO) refused to try to fix the problem this time, and a complaint filed with Hyundai of America (case #[XXX]) has resulted in similar inaction--since the technician could not replicate the problem that day, they tell me there is nothing to be done. I am concerned that spontaneously unlatching seatbelts (in the seats my children sit in) are unlikely to work properly to restrain them in the case of a car accident. Rear passenger seatbelt behind driver side started randomly unlatching itself in the last two months (first noticed in December 2024). Most recently, the driver‘s side seatbelt (front seat) has begun unlatching itself. Rear passenger is most often a child (age [XXX] ) in a booster seat but problem occurs with an adult passenger without a booster as well. We have moved the child seat to the far back row of seats for safety concerns. Driver’s side unlatches roughly one out of every three to four uses. Rear passenger seat no longer latches. Second row captain seats are unbuckling while the vehicle is in motion. This is occurring even after confirming they are secured. It also occurs again after they are refastened. The issue has been persistent since we bought the vehicle at the end of 2021.

The seat belt for the seat in the second row on the driver's side comes unlatched without warning while we're driving. This is already an open investigation: PE24021

The passenger seat belt will spontaneously unbuckle without warning or cause. This puts the passenger safety at risk in case there were a crash. The problem hasn't been repaired by a dealer but it's happened about 4 or 5 times. I've not had it inspected. No warning lamps went off before the failure. Luckily, the passenger unlock alert went off when it unbuckled so we were alerted to the seat belt buckle malfunction.

The 2nd row, passenger side seat belt came unbuckled while we were driving. Then we started struggling to get it to click in. Now it won't close at all. I read online that this seems to be a common issue and that NHTSA started an investigation so I wanted to share my experience. I am bringing it into the dealer today.

Seat Belt once again unlatching randomly after confirmation and repair conducted 11/2023 on vehicle.Children sit in this seat and could be ejected from the vehicle. Lights on dash light up when seatbelt unlatches.

On two separate occasions, the front passenger side seat belt has disengaged during driving. There was no warning when this occurred. The seat belt monitor was off (indicating it was appropriately latched) when this occurred. The entry of the seat belt is very soft and does not latch appropriately. I have brought this up to the hyundai dealership I have my car serviced at and am awaiting an appointment to address this concern. Unfortunately, they are unable to get me in for an appointment for 2 months.

All seat belts do not always click securely. They require you to push and pull a second time for the seat belt to fully engage. Sometimes the seat belts unclick while we are driving down the road. This has been happening since we purchased the vehicle new and the dealer won't acknowledge the issue or do anything to resolve it.

The seat belts unbuckle on their own while driving. They are fully engaged and the safety light indicator turns off but then as you are driving they will intermittently unbuckle themselves. Seat belt on front passenger seat randomly comes unlatched while driving. I asked my dealership to review this in May 2024 and then again in 1/2025 as it keeps happening. The seat belt is clicked and suddenly comes loose and then the seatbelt alarms start going off. Dealership has not been able to replicate. I would say this has happened about 6 times since I started noticing it. The dealership since they can't replicate, they won't pay for it. And say no recall. I am paying for the dealership to change out the seat belt.

It started 4 years ago right after purchasing the vehicle. I slammed on my breaks and my child’s seatbelt unbuckled and he came flying forward and hit the back of the seat in front. I reported this to the Hyundai dealership where they reluctantly replaced my seatbelt. It has come unlatched less frequently. Now the seatbelt on the other side continues to come unlatched while driving. It happens about once every couple months, and always while driving. I am very concerned for my child’s safety and worry about having to slam on my breaks.

My second row passenger side sealtbelt unlatched itself without notice when driving on the highway at 50 miles per hour. My grandson was sitting in his booster seat when the seatbelt unlatched! It was a frightening ordeal! We were on an expeessway with limited availability to pull over. The adult passenger in the other second row seat made several attempts to secure my grandson's seat belt after it unlatched, while the car was in motion, unsuccessfully. We purchased this vehicle 2 months ago from a dealership. As soon as we got the car, both of the second row seatbelts were very hard to lock. Several attempts had to be made to get them to lock every time they were used with a child seat. The vehicle is available for inspection. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center since this happened today. I have made an appointment with a dealer to have my seatbelt replaced in 2 weeks. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps pr messages that indicated this problem. Once again, there were symptoms of the problem because when we first got the car, we had to make several attempts for both 2nd row seatbelts to lock when used with a car seat.it was highly annoying!!! But I had no idea the seatbelt would ever unlock itself. Scary!!!!

I was unable to use my seatbelt because the end that accepts the strap, would not allow the seatbelt to click in to the device. I had to drive without a seatbelt several miles. I tried probably 20 times to get it to click in before giving up. My husband was able to somehow reset the mechanism, and it appears to be working fine at the moment. but I fear I could get either locked in or out of the seatbelt in the future. There was no warning the seatbelt was having an issue prior to this event. Also, it appears my model, the 2021 Hyundai Calligraphy is not included in the service bulletin campaign with the issue of a knock in the rear end (my noise is coming from the right rear area of the vehicle. Most likely the rear shock absorber, upper insulator. I'm not sure of the safety issue this will cause. Hyundai wants to charge me $160.00 to tell me if that is what it is. Knowing the other models in this year have this issue My vehicle has approx. 68,000.00 miles. They have told me my warranty expired at 60,000 miles.

Second row seat belt buckles come unbuckle while driving. Even with buckle securely fastened and checked upon passenger being seated, later on the seatbelt becomes unbuckled randomly during driving. Extreme safety issue not only since the passenger is unbuckled, but because driver now becomes distracted trying to resolve a safety issue while driving.

Occasionally the driver's side middle row passenger seat belt will come unbuckled while driving. This happens without pushing the eject button. Reinserting the buckle will clear the seat belt alarm and refasten the belt but occasionally it will pop out again.

The captain seats in the back middle row will be clicked in place and they come undone during operation of the vehicle. This happens on both of the captain seats in the back row. This has occurred at least 6 times in the last month Dec 2024

Driver’s and Front Passenger’s seat belt disengage randomly while driving. Even if you hear the click, the seat belt alarm silences, and you check it multiple times with force to ensure it is latched, it will pop loose later while the car is in motion. Serious safety hazard and while we only have experienced it in the fronts seat, we are extremely concerned it will happen with our daughter’s car seat belted in. This needs to be an immediate recall and a new latch assembly needs to be installed in cars.

Seatbelt does not latch properly. Release button gets “stuck” not allowing the buckle to latch.

The seatbelt indicator lights for both the driver seat and passenger-side third row seat appear to be faulty. The issue first appeared with the driver seatbelt chime, which would ding while the seatbelt was in-fact in use by the driver (i.e. the driver was buckled, but the indicator would chime as if the seatbelt was not buckled). The car was taken in for service and the issue was communicated to the service provider-a possible solution was recommended. At a later date, the chime for the third row (passenger side) seat began to chime faultily too. The indicator would chime both when the passenger was buckled, but also when there was no occupant in the seat at all. The concern is that seatbelt indicators are not working properly and therefore may impact other safety measures related to the affected seatbelts. The issue is still on going, most actively in the third row passenger-side seat.

The seat belt buckle in the 2nd row and 3rd row seats are too low and put a high back booster and occupants at risk. My son is at the correct height and weight to transition into a high back booster and he and I are struggling to get the metal latch into the buckle. It’s extremely hard to determine if the seat belt latches correctly into the buckle because no click noise is heard. The buckle should raise out of the base of the seat at least another inch or two to allow children and adults to buckle safely.

Second row passenger side seat belt would come undone while driving. This would usually happen while under pressure rounding corners. Addressed with dealership during routine maintenance. Buckle was replaced and have not had any issues since.

Front passenger and both captain chairs seatbelts will unlatch on their own. Windshield wipers when on automatic setting will turn on with no precipitation on windshield. Generally when the steering is turned slightly left. Both issues have happened multiple times over the past 4 years of ownership.

The seat belt in the 2nd row where my child sits, comes unlatched while driving. Happened in the driver seat as well. This is a major safety concern given they come unlatched without pressure. We always double check now that we pull it after inserting to double check it is all the way in and it still has happened. It has not been inspected by manufacturer or dealership yet. 2nd row passenger seat belt, releases randomly, and or takes multiple attempts to get it to connect and hold. The seat belt is available for inspection. Children / Passenger safety at risk if belt detaches in an accident Issue has been reported to dealer multiple times, dealer fails to act. They have not replicated the issue because they will not schedule an appointment to address it and have ignored the request during standard oil change appointments. Component has not been expected by others There were nowaring lamps or messages when incident occurs

In the second row seat the seat belts come unbuckled at spontaneous times. Often while driving. Sometimes multiple times in the same trip. It’s worse on my son’s seat where he has a booster and it happens to my daughter sometimes too, she’s not in a booster. It’s been going on for a few years. It’s very stressful. If you apply pressure (like leaning forward) it will happen too. This is after we have buckled heard the click and applied pressure to ensure locking. I noted the last time but this has been an ongoing issue. The dealer is. It helpful and says nothing is wrong.

I have noticed while driving my seat belts in passenger and driver side will come un latched while driving.

Front driver seatbelt, rear passenger seat belt, rear middle seatbelt do not stay latched or become unlatched while driving. Taken to two different dealerships who state they could not replicate the issues.

2nd row seatbelts do not fully secure in place and remain locked. This happens repeatedly with different individuals indicated a mechanism failure rather than user error

Seat belts do not fully latch despite being inserted fully. It takes multiple attempts to get the tongue to latch into the buckle. This has happened to three separate individuals from my household across multiple instances, and has impacted the driver seat belt buckle, front passenger belt buckle, and second row passenger belt buckles. There are many reports of this happening to other consumers (a quick google search of “Hyundai palisade seatbelt issues” brings up multiple complaints).

The second row seatbelts do not reliably latch. The belts will click closed and the bell indicator will stop beeping when the seatbelt is engaged but it often pops out within minutes or while driving. This is extremely dangerous as my children are essentially driving in a car with no seat belt. My children have now been trained to latch the belt and yank on it to verify. This has reduced incidents as it will usually yank out when they pull hard, but sometimes this is not enough and the seat belt will unlatch later while driving down the road. This has been reported to the Hyundai dealership and they ignore the issue when they can't reproduce it in the shop.

Within the last few months (car is 3 yrs old), the second-row, left-side seatbelt will randomly come unbuckled. The passenger clicks the seatbelt in, and within a few minutes, it pops out. Sometimes happens multiple times on one trip. Happens with lots of different people and didn't use to happen, so it is not user error. I'm worried that it will not hold up in an accident. No warning lights, messages, or other symptoms. I have it booked in to get repaired at the dealer but I'm skeptical they'll be able to fix it. I have found multiple people online with the same problem and they haven't been able to get it fixed. The problem does not appear to be able to be reproduced.

The second row seat belt is weak and unbuckles suddenly. My child's seatbelt will unclick spontaneously after driving. It is a hassle to click when putting seatbelt on. Big safety hazard for family members sitting in second row seat as they are left unprotected during an accident.

The rear captain's chair seat belt on the driver's side of the vehicle does not latch properly. There have been multiple occasions where my kids buckle and then the buckle comes undone while we are driving. I initially thought the kids were not buckling properly, so I investigated myself and still found that the seat belt clicks but doesn't stay latched. It is not 100% of the time, so it can still latch and stay latched, but with it being a seat my kids ride in, anything less than 100% is not acceptable.

The 2nd row seatbelt located on the left driver side is malfunctioning. The seatbelt will spontaneously come unbuckled while the passenger is buckled up and the vehicle is in motion. The problem has been reproduced more then I count when my children are riding in the car. The seatbelt spontaneously malfunctions and unbuckles. The passenger seatbelt will alarm on the dash until the passenger has engaged the buckle again. The buckle has been like this since I purchased the car. I used to think my son was just fooling around and unbuckled his seatbelt, but he’d swear up and down he didn’t unbuckle and that the seatbelt came unbuckled on its own. I have three children and all of them have had the seatbelt come unbuckled while riding in the 2nd row seat on the drivers side. This occurs at least 1x per week and happens within the first 15 -30 minutes of driving. The seatbelt unbuckling is a safety risk to everyone of my children who sit in that seat. The safety and security of my children are at risk and the dealership where I bought the car has been no help. The dealership disregarded my concerns when I asked how to report my safety concern and said to make sure they push down when they buckle.

The rear seat belts in the captain chairs unbuckle without any action from the passengers, no force or impact, etc. Just mid-drive, they release from the buckle.

In the second row, the middle seat belt will not retract.

Rear passenger seat belt has come unbuckled at least 6 times while driving. The chimes/alert will start going off. This happens randomly (no hard braking, etc occurring prior to seat belt coming unbuckled). At this point, we are not allowing anyone to sit in this seat due to the safety concerns. We've taken the vehicle in twice to the Hyundai dealership and they were not able to reproduce the issue the first time. The second time, they didn't test it as they wanted to keep the vehicle for a couple days. No warning messages etc occurred prior to the seat belt coming unbuckled-only after the fact.

When locking in the seat belt it will click and lock and a few seconds later will unlock. 4 of the seats are doing this, including the front seats and once the seatbelt pops out, unlocking we are usually driving down the road and its dangerous to try and pull over and get it locked in place again just for it to unlock a few minutes later. . The seat belt appears to be weak and will not stay locked in and will certainly not stay locked in under pressure. Then when it unlocks the bells start going off and it's complete chaos and dangerous when driving to try and deal with that stress, also knowing we are no longer buckled.

In the middle row captain's chairs, the seat belts constantly come unbuckled even while moving... I've had 11 adults and nine children sitting in those middle rows- All having the same issue including myself when I allowed someone else to drive my vehicle. Nobody even has to push the red button. It just will suddenly unbuckle by itself. I brought to the dealership and they were not able to replicate the problem but they only drove around the parking lot for a few minutes... This has been happening since I owned it in April of 2021. First incident was probably around 3,000 mi on my car and now I'm at 26,000 miles and still having the same problem... And since they couldn't fix it, I ended up trading the vehicle in and waiting for a new one to ship from South Korea

2nd row captains chair seatbelts are very hard to click together. The receiving end of the seat belt is recessed very far into the chair, that it's hard to get the belt portion to click into place.

The seat belt latch the right front passenger won’t receive the metal fitting. Took to dealer they could not repair. Glad to order a part after 1 week the said the part was back ordered and they did not know when it would arrive. Talked to Hyundai and filed a complaint. After 1 week they called back with no answer. This is a safety issue if someone rides in the front passenger seat they cannot be buckled in. There are a number of similar complaints in Hyundai owner forums. The rep from Hyundai said on the phone that Nhtsa would be concerned about this when I told him I would file a complaint

The seatbelts in the captains chairs unbuckle by themselves. Sometimes it is hard for the seatbelt to buckle in the first place and takes multiple attempts to latch. Then as I'm driving the seatbelts will unbuckle without anyone touching them. This has happened multiple times, with different people so it cannot be attributed to human error. This is very dangerous.

Buckle is recessed too far into the seat to properly buckle the seat belt. Resulting in seat belt not fully buckling and coming undone while vehicle is in motion of when sudden stops are made.

THE 2ND ROW CAPTAINS CHAIR'S SEATBELTS ARE RECESSED SO FAR INTO THE SEAT THAT IT IS DIFFICULT TO BUCKLE. THE MALE PART OF THE SEATBELT ALSO HAS A BEND/ANGLE THAT REQUIRES YOU TO PUSH THE RECEIVER END TO THE SIDE TO GET THE RIGHT ANGLE TO BUCKLE. IT DOES NOT GO STRAIGHT IN. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO BUCKLE THE SEATBELT IF USING A BOOSTER SEAT. OUR BOOSTER SEAT IS NARROW AND DOES NOT COVER THE OPENING WHERE THE RECEIVER IS LOCATED. IT IS THE ANGLE THAT MAKES IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I RECOMMEND EXTENDING THE RECEIVER TO BE ABLE TO ADJUST THE ANGLE A SMALL AMOUNT.

I PURCHASED MY CAR TWO DAYS AGO. I HAVE 6 YEAR OLD TWINS IN HIGH BACK BOOSTER SEATS IN THE 2ND ROW. WE CANNOT GET THE SEAT BELTS TO BUCKLE. I HAVE TO END UP CLIMBING BACK THERE WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT AND FIGHT WITH THE SEAT BELTS. THEY JUST WON'T CLICK IN. MY CHILDREN DEFINITELY CAN'T DO IT AND AFTER A GOOD 10 MINUTES IF I'M LUCKY I WILL GET ONE BUCKLED. HOWEVER, EVEN WHEN I HEAR IT CLICK, IT ISN'T ALWAYS SECURE. THANK GOODNESS AFTER GETTING ONE CHILD BUCKLED I TUGGED ON IT BEFORE CLOSING THE DOOR AND SURE ENOUGH, IT CAME RIGHT OUT. THIS IS NOT SAFE AND IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT NEEDS ADDRESSED. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS.

THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR BUT THE SEATBELTS IN THE 2ND ROW CAPTAINS CHAIRS ARE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BUCKLE IN. MY CHILDREN HAVE TO SPEND ABOUT 5 MINUTES ATTEMPTING AND THEN I USUALLY HAVE TO DO IT. THE SEATBELTS ARE WEDGED TOO FAR INTO THE SEAT AND AT A WEIRD ANGLE. AT TIMES I BUCKLE THEM IN BUT THEY CLIP OUT WAY TOO EASILY.

THE BUCKLES IN THE CAPTAINS CHAIRS ARE RECESSED INTO THE SEAT AND THE TONGUE IS ANGLED. IT IS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT FOR AN OLDER PERSON TO PROPERLY BUCKLE THEMSELVES IN, AND ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT TO BUCKLE THE SEAT BELT WHEN USING A BOOSTER SEAT. IT HAS TAKEN 5 MINUTES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO GET IT IN CORRECTLY. AT TIMES, IT SEEMS IT IS IN WITH A CLICK, UNTIL I PULL IT, AND IT DISENGAGES. I AM ALSO CONCERNED THAT THE BOOSTER MAY ACTUALLY LAY IN THE BUTTON, COMPLETELY RELEASING THE SEATBELT IN AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ASAP SO WE CAN ENSURE OUR CHILDREN ARE SAFE.
