My adult son was driving and under the hood started to smoke. He pulled over and opened the hood to take a look and then a fire started under the hood! The fire department was called and they put out the fire, cut the gasoline and duct taped it up so the fuel line would not further ignite the hot engine. My insurance is looking into what would have caused a random under the hood fire. Luckily no one was injured. However the engine section of the car is melted beyond belief. My insurance has not told me if the car is repairable or not.
When driving my check engine light started to blink and my car would not accelerate. I made it home and plugged in a diagnostic reader and got the code P1326 glow relay short circuit. My car along with my friends 2021 Hyundai Tucson both have this same issue. There needs to be a recall for these years. There is a recall out for this specific problem in sonatas and Tucsons and need to cover these years as well.
This call actively has a recall on engine rods any Hyundai and some Kia models ranging from 2011 all the way until 2022. They are known for having a faulty motor with active oil consumption and are currently facing several lawsuits and my car is one of these cars facing this issue however, the manufacturer doesn’t want to Fully create a recall on the motor claims that are causing this rapid oil consumption issue I would like this to be investigated as well as it be investigative why you don’t already have their current active recall listed on your website . but if your website was correct and listed the engine, Roddery call, and if my engine rod were to blow, then they would actually address this issue however, some people are getting this issue addressed under their manufacturer warranty however it is becoming extremely difficult because they want us to pay out-of-pocket for a pointless test as newer vehicles should not be burning oil with no active problems. Clearly, the states there is a problem which there is as of all the active lawsuits.

In May of 2023, my house burnt down. We were in it at the time when the smoke detector went off. When I opened the door from to kitchen to the garage, I saw flames shooting up at the front of my car. The fire was so intense at that moment, I knew all we could do was flee the house. I grabbed my wife and we ran out the front door. You do not have a recall listed for my vehicle, but Hyundai lists two. The first one listed can potentially cause a fire. Both recall maintenance was performed on my car. I sincerely believe that the car was the cause of the fire. Since it had been sitting in my garage for approximately four hours, the engine wasn't hot. I had it regularly serviced at the local Hyundai dealership. There were multiple fire investigators, including one from Hyundai. Here is the recall information. unknown cause for internal malfunction of the catalytic converter. Hyundai did have prior issues in 2019 with the publication of a technical service bulletin
Problem with Engine , not holding OIL. Also, I have had 2 catalytic converters replaced within one year. Dealer is telling me my warranty expires at 80,000 instead of 100,000. Last, tail light electrical issue.
The car engine completely shuts down without warning. This has happened over a dozen times since last summer. The only thing we can think of was the ABS module recall work, but the dealership says everything is fine with the car and they cannot replicate. This happens when the car is at a stop, or sometimes driving slowly or turning. The engine gets quiet, the lights flicker, and then gas no longer works to accelerate. To fix this, we have to shift the car back to P, then turn the car off, then turn it on again, and then put it back into D. Sometimes this happens in the middle of live traffic which is unsafe. We have an active case with Hyundai America open about this issue since the dealers cannot identify and fix the issue. This is a high safety issue for my family and other drivers. The car is available for inspection. The frequency of this occurs about once a week (it used to happen 1-2 times per month but recently has been increasing.)
Vehicle was stolen in day light in Milwaukee area between 5 and 8 pm on 5/13/2022. Was aware of high theft but thought that it was safe do to the time I was there. Milwaukee pd didn't file the case in time and had Mukwonago pd show up at the house to question me about my car. We had 3 high school kids with us and 5 adults to verify the theft.
Since mid to late December 2021 the Airbag light has come on roughly 4 to 6 or more times. The last time currently was 05/07/2022 after having had the "code cleared and a reset" done at the dealership of purchase. This reset took place at 10:27 am and the light came on again at 1:57 pm. The cost to me was $175.00. I feel this poses a safety concern though I was told "most likely the airbag would fail to go off".
My windshield cracked right after I got my car in 2020. I was driving. No pebble hit my windshield. I had my windshield replaced and the same thing happened, although the second time a pebble did hit my windshield, you cant feel the crack from the outside or inside.
These vehicles I been noticing looks like they having issues with their staters or something I been seeing on Youtube everyone having same issue like I'm where on cold days you try to start the engine it just makes a clicking sound with a burning smell
The backup camera in the 2020 Tucson Ultimate is blurry, creating a serious safety issue. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer repeatedly with this complaint and although the service advisor agrees, Hyundai has refused to replace or repair the camera. Note that there are many of the same complaint that can be found through a simple internet search, but apparently Hyundai refuses to acknowledge and repair the issue. Both the driver's safety and the safety of others are at risk, since it's not possible to see clearly what is behind the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and the dealer requested a replacement backup camera, but Hyundai declined authorization for the replacement. Federal regulation that went into effect in May 2018 requires that all new vehicles must have a backup camera. Surely the backup camera must be usable, as opposed to just existing to satisfy the legal requirement? This camera is so blurry it is barely usable. We had this exact same make and model from the 2016 model year and the backup camera was crisp and clear, so this is definitely an issue with this particular model year.
While I was driving my car on the highway I notice my back window was getting foggy and about 5 minute later all my indicators on my dashboard lift up and my car went dead trying to get off the highway ramp and smoke came out of the hood, this was a brand new car, Hyundai Tucson 2020 and only have 23000 miles on it, from when I purchase it, please can you check in to this for me.

The contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,200. Parts distribution disconnect. Vehicle has been repaired.

The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the instrument dashboard display suddenly blacked out and the steering wheel malfunctioned causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash down an embankment into a tree. The contact mentioned that when she attempts to exit because the vehicle was on the edge of an embankment when she exits the vehicle she fell into a tree then climbed up to the roadway where she was found unconscious. During the incident, the driver sustained a fractured left shoulder and head trauma. The contact currently was being seen by a Neurologist for her head trauma. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. It took over an hour for the vehicle to be retrieved from the embankment. The cause of the failure was not determined. Prior to the crash, the vehicle had been serviced on multiple occasions for exhibiting a loss of power and hesitation to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the transmission and reprogrammed the computer software but the failures continued to occur. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 38,000.

I SUBMITTED A SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY CAR'S FRONT AND REARVIEW CAMERA. IN LOW LIGHT, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WHAT IS BEHIND ME OR HOW FAR I AM FROM THE OBJECT BEHIND ME. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MANDATES BACKUP CAMERAS BUT DOES THAT MEAN A MANUFACTURER CAN JUST PUT ANY CAMERA ON CAR WITHOUT IT WORKING PROPERLY? IT IS NOT ONLY A PROBLEM ON MY CAR, I HAVE LOOKED AT OTHER 2020 HYUNDAI TUCSON ULTIMATE TRIM LEVELS, AND IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. WE CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL WE RUN OVER SOMEONE BEFORE SOMEONE STEPS IN. PLEASE REVIEW AND TAKE MY COMPLAINT SERIOUSLY.
THIS CAR HAS HAD AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED TO GET THIS FIXED AND WHEN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE CAR SERVICED THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET IT. I CALLED TO SCHEDULE A RECALL REPAIR AND THE DEALERSHIP STATED HYUNDAI HAS NOT YET RELEASED THE PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIR. I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD COME IN. WITH A SERIOUS RECALL LIKE THIS, THESE REPAIRS SHOULD BE MADE ASAP.

THE BACK UP CAMERA IS FUZZY AND BLURRY. IT'S HARD TO SEE THROUGH THE CAMERA TO USE IT BACKING UP IN SPOT THAT I REALLY NEED IT. WHEN IT'S DARK ITS WORSE. AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR 22DAYS THE COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND HID BEHIND THE NJ LEMON LAW TO DENY OUR REQUEST TO REPURCHASE THE CAR NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD DRIVE THE CAR TWO MORE TIMES TO SEE IF IT WOULD SHUT ITSELF OFF THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT /DEATH /INJURY OUTWAYS THE IDIOTIC NOTION THAT THE CAR NEEDS TO DO THIS TWO MORE TIMES TO QUALIFY FOR THE LEMON LAW .MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT THIS DEALERSHIP OR CORPORATE YAHOOS TRY SO RESELL OR RELEASE THIS CAR . I WAS INFORMED OF A RECALL FOR THE ABS SYSTEM FOR MY HYUNDAI TUCSON 2020. I WAS DIRECTED TO THEIR WEBSITE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE, WHICH I SCHEDULED AT HYUNDAI OF LONG ISLAND CITY IN NEW YORK. ONCE I ARRIVED AT MY SCHEDULED TIME FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE AND AFTER WAITING 30 MINUTES TO EVEN SPEAK WITH A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, I WAS TOLD THERE IS A BACKORDER OF THE REQUIRED PARTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER 2-3 WEEKS. I WAS TOLD I NEED TO CALL THEM TO CHECK IN TO SEE IF PARTS ARE IN. I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT I WAS ALLOWED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN URGENT ISSUE, ONLY TO BE TOLD IT CAN'T BE FIXED. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL BACK SEVERAL TIMES IN THE FOLLOWING WEEKS TO KEEP ASKING IF THEIR PARTS ARE IN. I ALSO ASKED FOR A LOANER VEHICLE AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE ANY. I FIND THE HANDLING OF THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL TO BE NEGLIGENT AND IS PUTTING ME AT FURTHER RISK WHILE I WAIT FOR THE REQUIRED SAFETY REPAIRS. THE WINDSHIELD ON MY 2020 HYUNDAI TUSCON ALL OF SUDDEN HAS A CRACK LONGER THAN 2 DOLLAR BILLS AND IT KEEPS GROWING. STARTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, MAKING IT'S WAY TO THE DRIVERS SIDE. YOU DO NOT FEEL THE CRACK ON THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD, IT SEEMS TO BE IN THE MIDDLE,. MY CAR WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME, NO OBJECTS HAVE HIT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING.

SUV HAS BEEN IN SHOP 4 TIMES DUE TO LOUD CRACKING POP NOISE COMING FROM PANORAMIC SUN ROOF. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS EXACT ISSUE, THEN THE WINDOWS WOULD EXPLODE. THE BACKUP CAMERA IS BLURRY AND FUZZY DURING THE DAY AND EVEN WORSE AT NIGHT. ALMOST USELESS AT NIGHT TIME. THE CAMERA SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SAFETY FEATURE BUT IT IS NOT VERY GOOD WHEN YOU CAN'T MAKE OUT OBJECTS AND THERE ISN'T A WARNING NOISE WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO BACK UP INTO SOMETHING. I HAVE TAKEN TO SERVICE DEPT AT DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES NOW AND THEY HAVE INSTALLED A NEW CAMERA AND IT IS STILL THE SAME AS THE FIRST ONE. I THINK HYUNDAI NEEDS TO GET A MUCH BETTER QUALITY CAMERA SYSTEM FOR THE 2020 HYUNDAI TUCSON ULTIMATES. I WAS AT WALMART 3 NIGHTS AGO BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AND DID NOT SEE THE LADY WALKING BEHIND MY CAR B/C THE CAMERA SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE AT NIGHT TIME.
