Horn stopped before odometer hit 6,000 miles, dealer was unfamiliar with problem until I googled it and found out Hyundai is having horn issues, then they were aware of problem. Took 34 days to get this issue repaired.
Multiple times the car has locked the brakes when there was a car several car lengths in front of me. This has resulted in me nearly being rear ended three different times. The force of the stop has also caused me to have neck and back pain. This is u safe and will result in injuries. There are many reports about this on Reddit.
-The center display screen system failed. The screen intermittently glitches, strobes, freezes or goes completely black while the vehicle is in operation. This screen controls GPS/Navigation, backup camera display, vehicle settings and warning alerts. The vehicle and system are available for inspection upon request. -The failure creates a significant safety risk. When the screen blacks out or strobes, I lose access to navigation, backup camera visibility, vehicle alerts and system controls. The strobing/glitching is distracting and unsafe while driving, and the loss of display during driving and parking maneuvers increases the risk of collision or injury to myself, passengers, pedestrians and other vehicles. -Yes, the vehicle has been brought to an authorized Hyundai dealership 5 separate times for the same issue. This dealership has attempted repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting of the screen system but the problem continues to occur. -Yes. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by authorized Hyundai dealership service departments acting on behalf of the manufacturer. Hyundai corporate has also been contacted regarding the unresolved defect. -The primary symptom is sudden screen malfunction without warning, including flickering, strobing, freezing or complete black out. There are no consistent warning lamps prior to failure. The issue first appeared in August 2025 and has continued intermittently since that time. No collision, accident, injury or property damage has occurred as a result of this malfunction.
The dashboard and heads up display intermittently goes on and off. All warning lights are on when the dashboard comes back on. It goes off long enough to not know how fast you are going. Hyundai has this as a known issue for Limited trims of the Hyundai Tucson yet they only tell you to take it to the dealer for the vehicle to be fixed. Customers have taken their vehicle back to the dealership after the dealerships stated that the issue was fixed because the issue happens again a few days later. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed.
I crossed red light, truck coming from my left , I hit his car side , he hit my front car , my airbag didn't open although it is totally loss , despite the other car air bag opened
Component that fails & available for inspection upon request? HVAC heat exchange and faulty gas gauge. I drive from Minneapolis to Warroad, MN frequently and the floor wells has insufficient heat hence impairing use and safety in Minnesota's severe climate. I have videos on the following but I am unable to upload videos to your site: (1) when I have heat on high, full blast and to foot well ONLY, the dashboard vent is 115-143 degrees (using a digital food thermometer) and a ~60 degree difference with the footwell at 65-85 (although 85 degrees sounds warm at 1 degree outside my feet are very cold - I would be happy to have you test this with me). (2) Brand new SUV consistently 1.5 - 3 hrs to warm up. I explained to Hyundai this is NOT a software issue rather an HVAC air exchange issue. (3) The gas gauge consistently underestimates the remaining fuel available by 50% in cold weather - an issue that between Bemidji, MN and Baudette, MN (102 miles/1hr 45min) there are few gas stations. On 11/11/2025 I took the SUV to first Bloomington Hyundai - they said it is working as designed. Then 11/20/2025 to Morries Hyundai said they are aware of a similar situation with the EON. However, without an "error code" Hyundai is unwilling to fix the air exchange. Additionally, I opened case#: XXX[XXX] -68 with Hyundai corporate - additionally they are unwilling to admit fault - this vehicle should NOT be sold in Minnesota's extreme climate conditions. How was your safety of others put at risk? If I run out of gas, my passengers and I risk frost bite or fatality of hypothermia. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer service center? Yes. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer? Yes. Were there any warning messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning messages have ever appeared. I purchased the 2025 Hyundai Tuscon Limited in October this year. My conern is the headlights. When driving at night using the normal headlights, on the road on the left side shining there appears to be a black spot ahead of me. I've had asked front seat passenger if they noted it also to which they affirmed. I did asked my Hyundai Dealer about this and they stated that it is intended that way so that the oncoming vehicle is not blinded by my headlights. I'm driving on a 4 lane divide highway and it is very disracting to me as I feel I cannot see anything on the left side of the left lane when I am in the right lane. This is very distracting and they informed that it's that way on all of thier moderls
Bought car end of April brand new. June 25 brought in, console display went blank. Tried to start my car 11/10 and it would not recognize the key. Had to have it towed to dealership. Car battery was not dead, fob could start car, open doors, etc, but the car shut off as soon as you tried to start the car inside. Originally told fob problem. Nope. The told security control. Nope. Now being told it’s the BDC, basically the “control brain” of the car. Part is back ordered and my car is sitting parked at the dealership. It’s useless. Did some research and found that the BDC is becoming more and more common with a lot of people that have this car. It’s only 7 months old. No warning, dealer knows it won’t recognize fobs and not a fob problem. I was told, that the screen going blank in June was connected to this.
Defective horn after a few months. Had to take to dealership for repair
I started the car and put it in gear and it would not move. Then the check hybrid system and transmission warning showed up. This happened two times and I had to have the car towed in. The second time, it was determined that it is related to a recent recall for the Oil pump unit OPU Software. This recall is not listed any where and drivers are not being informed of it. Hyundai is not responding to my complaint.
The screen display in front of the driver showing speed, gas level, warning signals, traffic lane departure alerts goes blank and flashes on and off. Sometimes no screen at all for miles. At times all warning signals are lit up for many miles. This is an ongoing problem that has not been fixed over 3 visits soon to be 4.
Shortly after arriving home from approximately 60 mile trip, vehicle had been park approximately 10 minutes, came out to smoke and flames coming from inside of vehicle. The vehicle has been picked up by insurance but unsure whether the vehicle fire has been reported to NHTSA or Hyundai. The vehicle has not been to the dealer since the fire. Fire department stated it appears fire started inside vehicle. No warning lamps, messages, or other problems prior to the fire.
The front end collision avoidance “feature” slammed on my brakes so hard today, for zero reason. I was already braking, going less than 20mph and had plenty of room. This is NOT the first time, closer to double digits since I purchase in April. This time the car behind me narrowly avoided hitting me which was made worse as my vehicle takes too long to unlock and allow me to begin driving again. This is going to cause an accident and ruin my tires/brakes costing me money.
I was 15 minutes into my commute home on route 9 in Massachusetts when I stopped at a red light. When I took my foot off the brake and stepped on the gas the car would not accelerate more than 5 miles an hour. I was stuck in the intersection for about 10 minutes and had to put on my hazards and get into the right lane and Keep driving at 5 mph until I found a place to pull over and restart the car. When I restarted it it drove ok
Driver Assist Warning system. The driver assist warning in the vehicle provided a false alarm every 4-5 minutes while driving on the interstate. The trip was during the day and the driver was alert staying between the lane lines. The driver assist warning system was disabled in the vehicle settings. This problem has been reported by multiple individuals in the Hyundai forums.
The "Consider Taking a Break" indicator illuminates erratically. We can drive it for 200 miles and it won't come on or we can drive it for 13 miles and it comes on 9 times. We've had the vehicle in the dealership for inspection (3) times. The dealership could not get it to fail. The dealership and Hyundai America said it's nothing they can do. It's an unnecessary annoying "distraction" while we're driving and we know distracted driving is the main cause of accidents. We had an incident where I took my eyes off the road to check the warning "Consider Taking a Break" light and bell came on, at that moment a large wild bird flew towards my windshield. The bird would have hit my windshield if it wasn't for my passenger yelling to stop. We had another incident where my spouse took her eyes off the road to check the "Consider Taking a Break" light came on when she was approaching a cross walk with a pedestrian in it. The problem has not been duplicated by the dealer. They may assume all of us are poor drivers because they suggested changing sun glasses, keep hands at 10 & 2, don't block the camera, sit straight up in driver seat, etc. I told the dealership and Hyundai America that I was willing to have this dangerous feature an option that I could turn off or totally removed. They said they can't do it because it's a safety feature.
There is a "consider taking a break" warning that pops up pretty often on this car. When I am doing normal driving. It is a MAJOR distraction and creates an unsafe situation. There is no way to turn off this feature
The safety feature on this SUV. “Take a break” the fact that it blares at you and makes so much noise all the time is so dumb. It can flash all it wants but when I’m traveling a long distance and I have kids or other people sleeping the car and get woke up because it’s beeping so loud it’s annoying. I think the noise should be able to be disabled. I can’t be the only one that this drives crazy.
The message “Consider taking a coffee break” will pop up just 15 minutes into a trip. This message beeps prior to flashing on the screen which causes us to take our eyes off the road to determine what is beeping and continues to “alert” us often during our travels. Hyundai has not provided a way for this warning to be deactivated. Hyundai has way too many messages beeping and appearing on the screen that causes distractions and has not provided a way to turn them off. As for the speed control, my ophthalmologist suggested I wear dark sunglasses due to issues I have in bright sunlight. The speed control will actually turn off if I wear dark sunglasses because the onboard camera cannot see my eyes. Also, the speed control will turn off if I’m making a turn and my arm gets in the way of the camera. This is extremely dangerous that the speed control just stops. We also will get beeps and a message on the screen if the camera cannot see our eyes, even when we are looking straight ahead. Again, this causes us to see what is beeping and what the message says. This is a distraction that causes us to take our eyes off the road. Terrible design.
Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Approximate Date of Incident: [XXX] Description of Problem: While driving at normal speed, the dashboard display and exterior lights suddenly turned off, then reset. The speedometer and warning lights disappeared, then reappeared after a few seconds. This has happened once and I am concerned for my safety, especially if driving at night or in traffic. This issue has been reported by several other owners online, and it appears to be a widespread electrical or software fault. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate and Hyundai issue a recall or fix. On two occasions, the dash lights kept blacking out, along with the Heads Up Display. On my way to the dealer for a maintenance appointment, all of the emergency lights came on and would not go away. After parking at the dealer service center, I told my service rep what happened, and when she restarted the vehicle, the lights were still on. I was immediately given a loaner. After making the repair, the mechanic asked to keep the vehicle to drive for a few days to make sure the problem didn't come back. I know these problems can reappear, even after they are fixed. I don't want to drive the car if the safety lights are all illuminated, but I also don't want to be stuck someplace without transportation.
1. 2 Sundays ago the car just slowed to almost a stop while driving. The radio turned off and the lights on dash came on. Took to service next morning and of course they couldnt duplicate problem. 2. Last week, the radio blacked out.
Forward lane collision warning is dangerous. It fully stopped on the freeway during traffic and other times because it thinks im going to hit another car when I was rolling no foot on pedal.. there is no permanent way to turn it off. Has to be drone each drive. Dangerous and almost caused me to get into accidents
The engine auto-off system kicks in too fast after stopping the vehicle creating a hazard that other vehicle may crash with my car as the engine start again is too delayed in my car after releasing the brake pedal.
Consider taking a break (coffee cup icon) continues to notify even if vehicle is correctly in lane. MAJOR DISTRACTION, have to constantly check instrument cluster. Even with lane assist OFF, issue still continues.Hyundai needs to upgrade software. On 2025 Tuscon sel model no way to turn notification off. On a 6 hour trip, notification went off every 4-5 minutes on interstate driving.
The Driver Attention Warning system goes off very often - every 10-15 minutes. The warning is startling and makes one take their eyes off the road to ascertain the cause of the warning. There is no voice message - just a series of beeps. According to the dealer the DAW cannot be disabled by the owner.
I HAVE NO REAR TRUNK LATCH IN MY CAR OR KEYS, ITS DANGEROUS TO ONLY BE ABLE TO OPEN THE TRUNK WHEN U OUT OF THE CAR.. THATS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE, NOT TO MENTION I WORK FOR THE MILITARY AND CAR SEARCHES HAPPENS AND I CANT OPEN MY TRUNK FOR THEM...I CANT BELIEVE THAT THATS NOT EVEN A FACTOR IN THE CAR WHEN TH OLDEST OF MODEL HAVE TRUNK LATCHES AND KEY BUTTONS, I DONT UNDERSTAND IT AT ALL THIS NEED TO BE RECALLED
The vehicle, does not have a trunk latch in the car or button or on the keys, this is totally not safe and should be a requirement for people who drive these cars, that is totally unacceptable.. this definitely need to be recalled.. I just got this car and was not mad aware by dealership
The "consider taking a break" alert keeps alerting me constantly. There is no way to turn if off and it is very distracting. I am concerned it could result in an accident from the constant beeping and alerts.
In the middle of the screen, a notification to consider taking a break pops up and is very distracting and annoying even during normal driving condition. This feature makes the car less safe because it creates a distraction, especially on long road trips. There is no way to disable or turn the notification off on the vehicle.
Twice car is completely dead for 3 weeks car is at the dealership
