LaFontaine Import Novi, Inc. DBA LaFontaine Novi, a franchised Infiniti entity with actual knowledge of these recalls (16V-244; 15V-033; 13V-445), failed to disclose or remediate these "Risk of Crash" and "Risk of Injury" defects before selling me a 2014 Infiniti QX60 on Nov 5, 2025. The dealer provided a "Pre-delivery inspection" record on November 4, 2025 to CARFAX, but delivered the vehicle with these open recalls and multiple "Red Alert" mechanical leaks in the engine, transmission, and fuel systems. Only 588 miles after delivery, on Dec 26, 2025, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic cooling system failure (the radiator and transmission cooler) which demonstrated that the vehicle was not safe or roadworthy. The Service Manager admitted on January 6, 2026, that the radiator was defective and needed full replacement, which confirms the vehicle was sold with a pre-existing systemic failure

I have an infiniti qx60 that has a hairbag malfunctioning for a long time now. I've taken it to be serviced by infiniti many times. However, they could never fix it. At one point, I decided to leave it alone until the last time I took the car in to be serviced. The person who was helping me noticed that I had two children car seats in the car, so he decided to tell me that this car isn't safe to be driving with young children in it. Don't know what to do since the warranties have expired. Plus, they couldn't fix it when I had warranties on the car. I'm afraid that my family is at risk driving this car. I would love to stop driving this car before something terrible happens to my children. However, it is our only means of getting around right now

The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the Occupant Classification System (OCS) control unit to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY INFINITI QX60 SINCE I PURCHASED IT 09/2014. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH IT ACCELERATING. I WOULD PRESS ON THE GAS AND IT WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE ACELLERATION THAT I WOULD EXPECT FROM THIS CAR... IT IS VERY SLUGGISH. I HAVE TOLD THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS SINCE 2014. EVERY TIME THEY CHECKED IT, THEY SAID THERE WASN'T A PROBLEM. ONE TIME, I RECEIVED THE SAME CAR AS A LOANER CAR WHILE THEY WORKED ON MY CAR, AND I COULD CLEARLY SEE THAT THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY THAT CAR DROVE VERSUS MINE. THE LOANER CAR DROVE BETTER THAN MY CAR. SO, TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, I DROPPED MY CAR OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP IN MID-MAY (LAST MONTH) TO BE LOOKED AT. THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR (JUDDER ISSUE) AND THEY HAD MY CAR FOR A WEEK. DURING THAT TIME, I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND OTHERS HAD THE SAME COMPLAINTS. ONE PERSON SAID THAT THEIR DEALERSHIP ENDED UP PURCHASING THEIR CAR BACK FROM THEM/ REFUNDED THEIR MONEY BECAUSE THE JUDDER ISSUE WASN'T RESOLVED. I ALSO SPOKE TO A REGIONAL SPECIALIST AT INFINITI AND HAVE A CASE # OF CASE # 22529177. I AM GOING TO CONTACT THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST AGAIN BECAUSE THIS ISSUE ISN'T RESOLVED BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT INFINITI SELLS INFERIOR CARS. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE RUBBER MOLDING ON THE PASSENGER RIGHT DOOR IS COMING OFF AND PREVENTING ME FROM CLOSING THE DOOR AND WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, WITH THEIR SEATBELT IS ON, THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP INTO A RIGHT OR A LEFT TURN, THE RPMS GO UP BUT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 3-4 TIMES BEFORE MY FIRST 5000 MILES. I WAS TOLD IT WAS PART OF THE ENGINE BREAK-IN PROCESS. WHEN I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR ITS 10K SERVICE, I AGAIN COMPLAINED OF THIS HAPPENING, BUT THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE RESULTS. IT HAS HAPPENED 2X SINCE MY LAST SERVICE, ONCE WITHIN 24 HRS OF THE SERVICE AND THE OTHER AT APPROXIMATELY 14910 MILES. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AS I'M AFRAID TO GET REAR ENDED. I HAVE FOUND AT LEAST 3 OTHER REPORTED INCIDENCES OF THIS BY OTHERS ONLINE AND THE DEALERS DON'T SEEM TO BE DOING ANYTHING TO RECTIFY THE ISSUE. I AM ALSO HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS OTHERS REGARDING THE AIR BAG LIGHT GOING ON AND OFF AT RANDOM.

SINCE WE HAVE PURCHASED OUR CAR BRAND NEW IN 2014 WE HAVE HAD ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. RANDOMLY, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A PERSON SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR IS LIT "OFF" AS IF NOONE IS SITTING IN THE CAR SEAT. WE HAVE RECORDED VIDEOS OF MULTIPLE EVENTS AND HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER. EACH TIME THE DEALERSHIP RUNS A SCAN IT TELLS THEM THAT THE CAR IS OPERATING NORMALLY. I HAVE EVEN DEALT WITH INFINITI DIRECTLY AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO COME UP WITH A FIX AND KEEP TELLING US TO BE PATIENT BECAUSE THEY ARE WORKING ON RESOLVING THIS PROBLEM. WE HAVE HAD THE CAR NOW FOR ALMOST 1 1/2 YEARS AND STILL NO GOOD FIX BY INFINITI. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND WE FEEL IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE SINCE AN AIRBAG WOULD NOT GO OFF DURING AN ACCIDENT EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT.

THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND AN UPDATE NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. PURCHASED CAR 11/2013 NEW FROM DEALERSHIP. WITHIN THREE MONTHS, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT BEGAN COMING ON EVEN THOUGH A PASSENGER WAS IN THE SEAT. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON & OFF EVER SINCE. THERE HAS BEEN NO PATTERN DISTINGUISHABLE -- NO CORRELATION BETWEEN WEIGHT OF PERSON, IN CAR WHEN/WHEN NOT STARTED, NOR HOW LONG LIGHT HAS STAYED ON OR IF IT DID GO OFF AFTER >3MIN. WE HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES, FOUR OFFICIALLY ON THE SERVICE HISTORY, AND AT LEAST TWO OTHER TIMES AS A "DRIVE THRU" TO CONFIRM THAT INDEED MY FAMILY WOULD BE SAFE IF IN AN ACCIDENT (VERBAL REASSURANCE GIVEN BY SERVICE MANAGER FOR EACH OF THOSE "DRIVE-THRU" TIMES). SERVICE MANAGER SAID SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY PRIOR TO INITIAL OCS REPROGRAM COMPLETED 6/5/14 (RECALL NUMBER 14V138000). LIGHT REMAINED ON WHILE PULLING OUT OF DEALERSHIP ON 6/5/14 AND THEY REPROGRAMED IT AGAIN BEFORE LEAVING. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE DEALERSHIP IS OVER 30 MILES AWAY, AS WELL AS THEIR INSISTENCE THAT THE SYSTEM IS "WORKING PROPERLY", I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT IS MANY TIMES WHEN THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON. IF TAKEN IN EACH TIME, THIS WOULD BE PROBABLY EVERY TEN DAYS - TWO WEEKS. IF THE LIGHT HAS NOT GONE OFF, I HAVE MADE THAT PERSON GET INTO THE BACK SEAT. OVER 90% OF THE TIME, THESE HAVE BEEN FAMILY MEMBERS, WEIGHING BETWEEN 90#-200# AND ALL OVER 5' TALL. ADDITIONAL SERVICE HISTORY TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE ARE: 8/20/14, 8/25/14, 3/24/15. SERVICE MANAGER FREQUENTLY UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONCERNS, INSISTS SYSTEM IS FUNCTIONING APPROPRIATELY. PROBLEM 1: APPROXIMATELY 4 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR, WE NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WOULD DEACTIVATE DURING OPERATION WHILE AN ADULT WAS IN THE SEAT. CAR WAS TAKEN TO INFINITI DEALER AND SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED ACCORDING TO THE AIRBAG RECALL. HOWEVER THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO REMAIN AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG STILL RANDOMLY DEACTIVATES WHILE AN ADULT IS IN THE SEAT. INFINITI HAS BEEN INFORMED MULTIPLE TIMES BUT STATES THAT THE ISSUE CANNOT BE REPLICATED AND AS SUCH HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO FIX IT. INFINITI HAS STATED THAT THE SEAT BELTS CONTINUE TO WORK AND IS THE FIRST LINE DEFENSE IN AN ACCIDENT! PROBLEM 2: APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR, WE EXPERIENCED TRANSMISSION JUDDER AT LOW SPEEDS (5-10MPH) AND GOING AROUND CORNERS. INFINITI UPDATED THE TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE BUT THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN FULLY SOLVED. THE TRANSMISSION STILL HAS SOME JUDDERING. IN THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS OF OWNING THE INFINITI QX60 WE NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHT STAYS ON FROM 10 MINUTES TO AN HOUR WITH AN ADULT SITTING IN THE SEAT. I CALLED THE DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND SINCE THERE "WASN'T A BIG CONCERN" GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT A WEEK LATER. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND INFORMED THEM OF THE SITUATION. THEY SAID THAT THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. "ALL AIR BAGS WORKED AS DESIGNED". PERFORMED A HARD RESET ON PASSENGER OC SENSOR. WE GOT HALF WAY HOME AND AFTER SHOPPING, THE LIGHT STAYED ON AGAIN WITH A PASSENGER SEATED. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT ALL WAS FINE AND NOT A DANGER. *TR

I LEASED THIS 2014 QX60 ON 10/23/2013. WITHIN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS WE NOTICED THAT THE "AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT WOULD GO ON WHILE MY WIFE WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT. IT WOULD COME ON FOR SEVERAL MINUTES THEN GO OFF. THIS OCCURRED RANDOMLY AND WOULD OCCUR DAYS APART. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY ADJUSTED THE SENSITIVITY. THE ISSUE STARTED BACK A MONTH LATER AND WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK ON 2/26/14 AND THEY PERFORMED A ZERO POINT RESET. THE ISSUE CAME BACK AND WE RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WORKED AND MY WIFE WAS TOO LIGHT(WEIGHS 135 POUNDS) OR SITTING INCORRECTLY. THEY RECALIBRATED THE SENSOR. THE ISSUE CAME BACK AS THE AIRBAG OFF LIGHT WOULD STAY ON WHILE MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. THIS WOULD HAPPEN RANDOMLY AND SOMETIMES COME ON DURING A TRIP AND STAY ON FOR AN HOUR THEN TURN OFF. WE RETURNED THE VEHICLE ON 6/25/14 DURING OUR SERVICE TO ADDRESS ISSUE AGAIN. RETURNED THE VEHICLE AGAIN ON 10/15/14 AND THE DEALER "RESET" THE PROGRAM AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THREE DAYS LATER THE AIRBAG OFF CAME BACK ON WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE SEAT(100 POUNDS) AND THEN A DAY LATER WITH MY WIFE. I CONTACTED INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY INFORMED ME THIS CAR WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL AND HAD ME RETURN TO THE DEALER TO DO THE SAME "FIX" THEY HAVE DONE EVERY OTHER TIME. THEY PERFORMED ANOTHER ZERO POINT RESET. NOW THEY WANT TO SEND A FIELD ENGINEER TO INVESTIGATE THIS. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG HAS BEEN FREQUENTLY OFF EVEN WHEN AN ADULT OCCUPIES THE SEAT, AND THE PROBLEM HAPPENED JUST A FEW DAYS AFTER THE PURCHASE. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THEY RE-CALIBRATED THE AIRBAG SENSOR. ALSO, THE DEALER SAID THAT THE CAR IS NOT UNDER RECALL LIST AS THE CAR IS NEWLY MANUFACTURED IN MAR. 2014, AND THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY, IN FACT, DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS AFTER THE RE-CALIBRATION OF THE AIRBAG SENSOR - THEY NEED A FIELD ENGINEER FROM INFINITI DIRECTLY TO INVESTIGATE THIS...
