Recall H039 is exactly what happened to my car I was driving my car and it suddenly cut off on me while driving I then had it towed to a mechanic shop and it smelled like gas after a couple attempts to start it the mechanic told me it was leaking gas from engine and out exhaust pipes the engine was flooded with gas and could have caught fire if kept driving after doing some research this exact recall H039 is what the mechanic had explained to me. My vin was not listed on the recalls but is an 2017 Jaguar F Pace 3.0 L vin is [XXX] these problems happen unexpectedly and no warning or anything. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Carvana regarding the purchase of a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace. Despite driving less than 4189 miles, the vehicle requires extensive repairs costing $8,600.00 before taxes, with additional maintenance costs of $1,400.00. Carvana misrepresented the vehicle's condition, failing to disclose multiple engine and coolant leaks, which were discovered after purchase. They also did not inform me that an extended warranty was not available for the vehicle, and neglected to provide a copy of their inspection report details. The remaining vehicle loan is $28,000.00. Upon contacting Carvana about these issues, they stated that the car was outside the return window and refused further assistance. The repairs needed were massive and consistent with pre-existing conditions, indicating that Carvana neglected to perform adequate maintenance or disclose the damage. I am a remote worker and only travel to take my children to and from school daily. Despite this limited use, the vehicle has incurred significant damage, including massive oil and coolant leaks, posing a risk of injury to myself and my children, as well as the potential for explosion due to the extent of the leaks. Carvana's failure to disclose the vehicle inspection report at the time of purchase was a deceptive practice that concealed preexisting mechanical failures. This deceptive behavior placed me along with 4 minor children at risk of injury and a potentially catastrophic auto engine explosion or fire due to the extent of the leaks. Please investigate this known coolant leak issue that extends to oil engine issue it's many other owners are experiencing the same issue. This is why Carvana fails to offer extended warranty on purchase. This is a known issue impacting many other 2017 jaguar fpaces around or at same mileage mark. JUST PULLED ONTO THE INTERSTATE AND WAS EXCELLING, (55 MPH) HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE "POP" AND THE CAR IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO A "RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE" MODE. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY TO SEE IF I HAD POPPED A TIRE; HOWEVER WHITE SMOKE WAS PLUMMING FROM THE EXHAUST. I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR AT ALL. I THEN CONTACTED ROADSIDE AND THEY PICKED THE CAR UP. THEN CALLED JAGUAR OF IN ATLANTA AND DESCRIBED WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TURBO HAD PROBABLY GONE OUT. JAGUAR SERVICE CONFIRMED THE TURBO HAD INDEED GONE OUT, AS WELL AIR COOLANT FAN AND POSSIBLY FUEL INJECTOR SENSOR. SO FAR AT $5K. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH IT'S BEEN FOUND THAT A PLETHORA OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE, AROUND THE SAME MILEAGE (56K MILES), ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. WHEN IS A RECALL GOING TO BE ISSUED AND ALL OF US GET OUR MONEY BACK FOR THIS NEGLIGENCE.

This has happened to us 3 times where we would have between 17-25 miles left on gas in our car and the vehicle would completely shut down on us; once on the freeway and once on an extremely busy street. Once the car shuts down, we can turn it on in terms of lights, music etc. however the car will not come back on to drive. I’ve reported this to jaguar in San Francisco more than once and they keep saying it’s the gas. Our gas never reaches the red line.

THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS LESS THAN 18 MOS OLD, WAS AT RANDOM TIMES HAVING DIFFICULTY STARTING (CHUGGING AND HESITATING). I TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP, AND AFTER ONE DAY THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEN, ABOUT A WEEK LATER I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY SHUT OFF. I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE AND PRESSED THE BUTTON TO START THE CAR, BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. THEN, I PRESSED IT AGAIN AND IT CHUGGED A LITTLE. I PRESSED IT AGAIN AND IT CHUGGED AND HESITATED A BIT BEFORE STARTING. THE LIGHT HAD ALREADY TURNED GREEN AND I WAS HOLDING UP TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME AND CALLED THE JAGUAR LAND ROVER DALLAS DEALERSHIP TO ALERT THEM TO THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T GET TO IT FOR AT LEAST TWO TO FIVE WEEKS BECAUSE THEY HAD SO MANY OTHER CARS IN FOR SERVICE! I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND SAW OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE ENERGY SAVING AUTO STOP/START FEATURE THAT MUST BE DISABLED EVERY TIME ONE STARTS THE VEHICLE TO RENDER IT SAFE TO DRIVE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND ADDRESSED.

CARBON MONOXIDE SPONTANEOUS RELEASE IN GARAGED, STOPPED VEHICLE AT 11:45 PM. DISCOVERED 20 PPM IN GARAGE WHERE CAR PARKED. ENGINE OFF BUT "WHIRRING" SOUND FROM UNDER HOOD. REMOVED CAR FROM GARAGE AND CARBON MONOXIDE MONITOR DROPPED TO "0". NO FATA

THE VEHICLE HAS AN ENGINE "AUTO STOP" FEATURE ENABLED BY DEFAULT. WHEN THE VEHICLE COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE ENGINE SHOTS OFF AND WHEN THE FOOT IS REMOVED FROM THE BREAK, THE ENGINE STARTS. THERE IS AN APPROXIMATE 1 TO 1.5 SECOND DELAY IN THE ENGINE RESTARTING. UNLESS THE DRIVER INTENTIONALLY DISABLES THIS FEATURE EVERY TIME THEY GET INTO THE CAR, IT REMAINS ENABLED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. IN CITY TRAFFIC WHEN I WAS STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION STOPPED IN THE INTERSECTION WAITING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE ENGINE HAD SHUT OFF. I HAD TO RAPIDLY ACCELERATE TO AVOID A VEHICLE AND THE CAR HESITATED WHILE THE ENGINE RESTARTED. THIS HESITATION NEARLY CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AS I WAS BARELY ABLE TO AVOID THE OTHER VEHICLE. IF A DRIVER FORGETS DO DISABLE THIS FEATURE, THEY ATE AT RISK OF A SERIOUS OR FATAL ACCIDENT.
