My vehicle was serviced 05/03/24, after the 60,000 whatever service, The Sewell dealership of N. Austin, literally has a video of them pointing out where there was an oil leak, they needed to fix, so of course, I agreed to them fixing the leak. Fast forward to [XXX], during which, I was driving, had no indication of any issues, then saw white/gray/smoke, pulled over, & then my car wouldn't start. The following conversation was exchanged from myself & someone named Ben, from the Sewell dealership in North Austin: [From Ben: I am not as familiar from the surface, but everything was explained in the video from the technician. The failed component is the bearing of the turbocharger which caused a major oil leak. This oil leak was the smoke you were seeing from the exhaust. We know for sure that the turbocharger will need to be replaced. The engine has a high likelihood of needing replacement as it was oil starved due to the major oil leak from the turbocharger. There is metal in the oil from inside the engine indicating internal failure from not having enough oil. From Me: which makes no sense, having just had all these things checked, back in May, with no indication of any leaks of anything other than what was shown.] ANDDD, which was supposedly fixed. I have the video footage of the technician doing a walk through in May of 2024, pointing out an oil leak, which I paid to have fix, but was later told I had no oil in my engine in July of 2024, without any warning. The car has not been drivable since, because I was quoted over 50,000 for the Turbo & Engine Replacement. I had 3 surgeries since December [XXX], which is why it's taken forever for me to do anything. However, I am STILL making payments on this vehicle. I read Jaguar Forums, & noticed I'm not the only person who has dealt with this EXACT issue, following Full Service approx 60 days prior. Car doors would not open from the outside of the vehicle and would not respond to the key fob’s signal either. The only way to get into my vehicle was to in climb through the trunk – which is a major safety concern. This first occurred on Janurary 13, 2023, and the dealership has been unable to resolve the issue since then, despite multiple attempts to do so.

ADDITIONAL INFO FOR PRIOR SUBMISSION Link to forum where others share similar issue with their vehicles: [XXX] . Appears to be a growing issue. Jaguar has the part on out of stock status and requires U.S. dealers to order from the UK with no confirmed eta (told could take 5-6 weeks). As you can see in the picture I was given of the issue, I cannot drive this vehicle and Jaguar refuses to provide any support or contribution to remedy the issue. This includes not providing a replacement vehicle while my vehicle sits at the dealership. My standard driving conditions with this vehicle are city streets and general highway - no off-road conditions. Also no towing by the vehicle (it has never had a hitch installed). Please investigate how such an important component to maintain safe driving conditions is allowed to go unresolved, and ultimately be pushed on the consumer as their problem. Can’t imagine what would happen if and when one of these truly breaks while someone is driving. I was informed of the issue by the dealer after a multipoint inspection. My vehicle was one of three there at the same time with the same issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Dec 22, 2020 Crash 16,000 mi

IN OCTOBER 2018 I HAD RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED 2018 JAGUAR F-PACE. I WAS BACKING INTO THE GARAGE AND NOTICED A BAG LAYING IN MY PATH. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK (I THOUGHT), LEFT THE DRIVER DOOR OPEN, GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WALKED INTO THE GARAGE TO PICK UP THE BAG. AS I BENT OVER TO PICK UP THE BAG, I HEARD A NOISE AS THE JAGUAR WAS COMING TOWARD ME WHEN THE OPEN DOOR OF THE JAGUAR HOOKED ONTO THE OTHER CAR IN THE GARAGE. I HAD NO ESCAPE PATH BUT THE DOOR STOPPED THE CAR FROM COMING ALL THE WAY TO THE WALL. IF IT HAD NOT, I WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAPPED AGAINST THE BACK WALL OF THE GARAGE. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE DOOR,, FENDER, HOOD, ETC FROM THE IMPACT AND THE OTHER CAR HAD BUMPER AND OTHER DAMAGE. THIS WAS CAUSED BY THE DIAL SHIFTER NOT GOING ALL THE WAY TO PARK, BUT FEELING LIKE IT WAS ENGAGED. I HAD THE DOOR OPEN, THE CAR WAS NEW TO ME, SO THERE WERE DINGS FROM THE CAR, BUT I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE THEM AS "NOT IN PARK" BUT THOUGHT IT WAS JUST BECAUSE THE DOOR WAS OPEN.
