TOOK TO 3 SHOPS AND THEY FOUND NOTHING AND FINALLY FOUND THAT CRANK SHAFT SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED WHEN I MET SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAD SAME PROBLEM. *TR

AFTER THE CONSUMER SHIFTED THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE LURCHED BACKWARD AND RAN OVER THE CONSUMER. CONSUMER WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED.

WHEN JEEP GETS TO RUNNING TEMPERATURE (5-10 MINUTES) IT WILL BACK AND STALL WHEN YOU GO TO TAKE OFF FROM A STOP. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN MERGING WITH TRAFFIC OR AT BUSY INTERSECTION. HAD BEEN IN SHOP FOR 10 WEEKS, REPLACED COMPUTER, TRIED MANY SENSOR REPLACEMENTS TO NO AVAIL, MECHANIC GAVE UP, NOW AT DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG (NO COMPUTER CODE STORED) WHEN IT IS JUST RUNNING.THEY HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT ON THE ROAD FOR FEAR OF BREAKING DOWN IN TRAFFIC. CAN NOT GET IT STARTED AGAIN UNTIL IT "COOLS DOWN" OIL PRESSURE GAUGE READING VERY HIGH (ANY CORRELATION?) WAS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AT FIRST,( STARTED LAST DEC., BOUGHT IT IN NOV) NOW CHRONIC, WITH EVERY DRIVE. THE LAST TIME I DROVE IT, IT WAS ALSO STARTING OFF IN THIRD GEAR (AUTOMATIC) ALTHOUGH THE COMPUTER REPLACEMENT (REMANUFACTURED) SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED THAT, ALTHOUGH I ALSO HAD THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER CHANGED. (I HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS UP TO THEN) HOOD LATCH SEEMS TO HAVE A PROBLEM AND BATTERY RECENTLY DIED, NEEDING REPLACEMENT. *LA

SPENT $1200, CAR STILL SOUNDED POOR, DEALER SAID IT WAS CATYLITIC CONVERTER PLUGGAE, FIXED THAT FOR $170, STILL MADE NOISE, DEALER INVESTIGATED SIAD LOW COMPRESSION IN CYLINDER, THEN FOUND CRACKED HEAD, FIXED THAT FOR $900, STILL SOUNDED BAD, DEALER INVESTIGATED, STATED THAT LIFTER ROD FAILED, CAM GRINDED ROD AND SCORED CAM, REQUIRING NEW ENGINE. CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS NO HEAT SHIELD, RESULTING IN EXCESS HEAT AND BURN-OFF OF UNDERCOATING WHICH EXPOSED FLOORPAN TO CORROSION. AS A RESULT, A HOLE DEVELOPED IN THE FLOORPAN WHICH ALLOWED EXHAUST FUMES AND EXCESS HEAT TO ENTER THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER RUSTED, CAUSING EXHAUST FUMES TO COME INTO THE PASSENGER'S COMPARTMENT. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WILL STALL UNEXPECTEDLY WHICH MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. DEALER REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH SO WHEN IT STALLS, DRIVER CAN START IT UP BY USING THE SWITCH. PRESENTLY, THE SWITCH MALFUNCTIONED, AND WON'T START UP VEHICLE. DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *AK
