TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WHILE IN THE REVERSE POSITION AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE BY DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS OR INJURIES. THE LOCAL PEP BOYS COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT POSSESSES PICTURES. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 100,000.

YOKE, THOUGH REPORT "NO HIGH IDLE CONDITION FOUND" AND THAT "THROTTLE BODY IS OPERATING CORRECTLY". MECHANIC DID EXPLAIN THAT THE CAUSE OF THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT AND DAMAGE TO DRIVE SHAFT COULD BE ENGINE RACING WHILE BRAKES STILL APPLIED. *AK
