First brake switch stopped working. I could not move vehicle and had to have it towed to dealer where the brake switch was replaced. Now less than year later I get a SVC 4WD notice.this happened right after I had my vehicles oil changed and tires rotated. I am told I now have a faulty PTU actuator that must be replaced for almost $2k. I have a 2019 Cherokee L with 88,500 miles.

My vehicle, had had issues with the brakes even after repairing (changing them) a horrible grinding and squeaking. The shifter reads "Service shifter soon" how does one even do this. The car jolts forward, or stalls in the middle of traffic, when I press the gas, when I brake sometimes it does not register, I have had the fuel sensor repaired and its still says its not working. I am going to be hit one day on account of this vehicle. I have taken it in to the dealership when these problems started with the auto start and stop censor going off. The windshield wiper line is kinked and I have taken this in multiple times for them to tell me nothing is wrong, and they do not service. Jeep brand is going to kill me due to its unsafe traveling. I have asked called and wrote in and no one will help me.

While driving, the emergency brake system becomes enabled, which immediately causes the vehicle to stop and sometimes stall. This is so dangerous! My daughter has been in the middle of an intersection when the vehicle has done this, she's lucky she hasn't been struck and killed. We have not taken it to a dealership, however online reports confirm this problem, and that the NHTSA is investigating it. There is a warning light that comes on when this happens, it says BRAKE, and then it gives prompts on what you need to do to disable the emergency brake. This has happened about four times in just this past year (we purchased this vehicle used and have owned it for one year), with the most recent time happening over the weekend. I was reversing the vehicle to move it to another spot in our driveway. I reversed the vehicle, then put it in Drive, and it immediately stopped and flashed BRAKE and enabled the emergency parking brake, although I didn't even touch it! I had to then put my foot on the brake, push the emergency brake button, (I think twice), and then I was able to drive forward.

When I am at a stop like a stop sign or light the engine will sometimes stall not allowing me to drive. It won’t go which is extremely dangerous. The car will have lights come on about airbags or it’ll be passenger seat belt when I don’t even have a passenger in the car. The brakes have locked up on me when coming to a stop the brakes have gone rock solid allowing no movement and I’ve almost hit other cars due to it locking up and not stopping. You would have thought someone out a rock under my brake. All of this has happened multiple time.

My vehicle is leaking in the front and passenger seat and my emergency brake comes on and I can't disengage it unless I stop the car and turn it off and back on. Sometimes it takes 2 times to do this. In November, twice I was merging into traffic going 45 miles per hour and it happened. I prayed I wouldn't get smashed. I turned the car off and back on and I was able to disengage the emergency brake. On 1/3/2025, it happened as I was backing out of my driveway onto traffic. I had to turn the car on and off 2 times before I could disengage the emergency brake. I was lucky no vehicles traveling on the road. There is a terrible sound and then the car bucks and you are jarred. I read about an investigation on this same issue back in July 2022. My dealer says until they can replicate the problem they can't fix it. Please help!

We have had numerous incidents with our vehicle starting at about 20,000 miles and still happening at 39,000 miles. While driving all of the lights come on, on the dashboard while at the same time the car loses power - losing brakes and power steering. Most recently, the car locked itself after closing the door, the radio has completely turned off to a black screen, eventually restarts itself. While stopped at a red light, it felt like I got rear ended, a bang sound and the car jerked forward. We have only had Jeep dealerships work on the car. The PCM has been replaced, as well as the alternator. They did find a small wire that was rubbing and repaired that as well, However, the problem still persists. This is a major safety issue, I feel this car should not be on the road, we are lucky that no one has been hurt at this point. The last time this happened my husband was making a left turn at an intersection and was very close to being in a serious accident. It is currently in the dealership (for the 5th time).

When in stop and go traffic, and in a stopped position at the time the screen flash parking brake and the car was unable to move forward. Had to put the car in park, and back into drive before it was able to move. The other incident occurred when the vehicle was backing up, and the accelerator was being pushed the car slammed on the brakes and said parking brake again on the screen. The car does have rear collision warning, however it does not brake automatically. Incident is not able to be reproduced and was inspected by a Jeep dealership which found no issues. Car does not show any additional symptoms.

This is a known issue with Jeep. But they refuse to repair it at no cost. My emergency brake has become corroded due to water leaking into the module and from time to time the emergency brakes will get stuck to the point my car will not move. This recently happened last night when my vehicle was parked in the garage. I had recently been driving through a major rain storm. And upon trying to use my vehicle the next day... The emergency brakes would not release. My mechanic brought his computer over and verified the check engine light was related to the emergency brakes not releasing. This is a definite safety hazard! I have also noticed that certain safety features are being disabled due to the emergency brake not working properly. For example if I leave my Jeep in drive and open the door the emergency brakes should automatically engage disabling roll away. This feature no longer works. Another future, if my driver seat seat belt was not buckled my emergency brake would engage. This is no longer working. I am very concerned about this. There are countless other reports of emergency brake errors. Please issue a recall!

The emergency parking brake locked up once while I was moving, on ice, and today I went to move the car and it would not disengage making the car unmovable. I tried all of the online suggestions to disengage it but none worked. I had to have it towed by AAA.

I was involved in a single vehicle accident at 5 am on October 5, 2023 on a rural road in Deland, Florida. I was on an unfamiliar road with a sharp curve and as I was trying to slow down the I was unable to slow down or steer the vehicle. It slammed into a cluster of trees and immediately the engine caught fire. I crawled out of the vehicle in pain from the force of the crash and was disoriented. A good Samaritan came to my aide and called the Volusia County Sherriff. I can remember my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude was fully engulfed in very intense flames in less than 8 minutes. It was so intense it set fire to the wooded area. This wasn't the first problem I had with this vehicle. I purchased this vehicle new from a dealer in Bowie, MD in 2019. Since that time I replaced all 4 tires due to numerous flat tires starting around 20K miles. I replaced the battery at less than 25K miles. I had braking issues when going downhill in the Washington DC area which caused me to brake hard. I complained and the dealer said they did an inspection. I also had other auto service companies perform checks. I have most of the service records which have cost me so much. I am a disable Gulf War Veteran on a fixed income. I am now waiting for VIN verification by GEICO because the vehicle burned so hot that the engine block and everything metal (melted). Had I not gotten out so soon I would have burned to death.

The electronic parking brake came on while turning slowly. It triggered an error code in the Shift Solenoid A Control , error code P0973. When I turn off the car, wait then turn it on again, it works fine. This has been happening for about 2 years every few months. I took it to the deal when it happen a few months ago, but they couldn't reproduce it. It happens randomly. The vehicle has not been inspected for this occurrence. There were no warning lights or messages prior to it happening.

This puts myself and others as there is no warning of when the emergency brake will engage and causes me stall unexpectedly. Component will be inspected this weekend during my 40K service. I was driving the Jeep Cherokee and it stalled while driving, and engaged the parking brake. I then had to put the vechile in park release the parking brake turn it off then on again in order to make it operational. Since then the vehicle has started to have issues with EVCS and breaking system. The vechile will stall and engage parking brake while idling, driving, or even in park. Having a vechile that engages the braking system automatically increases the risk of getting into a crash. This has happened numerous times and brought up to the dealership in which they stated the vechile was in need of an oil change.

At 35,000 miles the vehicle started vibrating when applying the brakes brought it in for service and I was told that the rotors are warped but brake pads are like brand new they said. Dealership said the brake rotors should be good for 70,000 miles but the factory installed defective rotors now they want me to pay for a complete brake job at $600 do you know what state it that a lot of customers are coming in with this problem why should we be burdened with it? It’s their mistake, and it should be rectified.

Brake Booster leak. Yes safety could have been at risk if I didn’t take it to the dealer myself since there was NO notifications saying there was a problem. I took it in because brake was stiff and car wouldn’t start when cold outside. This was confirmed at Chrysler dealership it was a leaky brake booster. Car is only a 2019 with 20,000 miles. Dealership wants to charge me $1295! Also had to take this car in on the same day because stop/start wasn’t working properly & dealership told me I needed new sensor for $365. This shouldn’t be happening to a 2019 with 20,000 miles. Please look into it and let me know if this brake booster can be put on the recall list so I can recoup my hard earned money back. Thank you!

Once, when I was about to start up, and about to drive, the parking brake slammed on violently. This has not happened while I am driving. Just the error and warning lights have come on while driving. When originally took car home brakes would like skip, as though you had hit patch of ice and not stop, slip to stop. Took it in twice to dealer Nothing found wrong. I gave up. Around 25k still doing same but worse stopping ability. I took to fix it shelby twp mi they did inspection and said rotors on all 4 wheels were warped missing spots, like it had been skipping and eating tge rotors the pads had a good 30 percent life left. They had me replace all 4 pads and rotors June 20 2022.a weeks later I notice same skipping sliding not stopping correctly like metal grindingwhen stopping randomly.Less then 1.5 months later they replace front rotors and pads same problem. Shop is now wanting to replace calipers and more. Less then 35k . No accident trying to avoid looking to see recalls

When stopped at a light, the light turned green, the parking break engaged and the car shut off. The car behind me almost rear-ended me. After waiting a minute I put the car in park and tried to start the car again. I had to put the gas pedal to the floor to get the car to start and not stall out. This has happened on multiple occasions. I took the car to the dealer and learned that I had a motor with faulty rings and was given a new motor, however this problem has still persisted. The driver side door also accumulates water. Enough water to hear when making a turn.

The Jeep auto restarted after a sitting at a red light then the car shut off and would not go. The accessory lights were still on and the dashboard indicated the emergency brake was on. Pushed the restart car button but the car did not respond. I manually turned off the emergency break and waited a minute then the car restarted after pushing the button. My safety was put at risk because the light had turned green and the car behind me had started to go. I put my hazard lights on and the car drove around me. Had this happened at a higher speed the car would have ran into the back of me and I'm pregnant so the life of my unborn child would have been put at risk. The problem has not been reproduced. There was no warning that the car was going to experience a problem. After it restarted I checked the battery indicator on the dash board and it was well charged. The only indication that there was a problem during the incident was that the dashboard said emergency break in red.

Multiple times when moving the Jeep Cherokee in the driveway suddenly the parking brake engages by itself. Parking brake engages when in reverse backing up or after backing up then putting in drive. This happens never touching the emergency brake switch. The emergency engages on its own. I can turn off(disable) the emergency brake after it automatically engages. This has happened multiple times over the last 3 years after new purchase.

Apr 29, 2022 Crash

Vehicle is a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with approx. 23k miles as of 4/28. A NH state inspection failed on 4/28/22 at 3 PM due to front rotors being "very delaminated and pitted" and front brake pads wearing unevenly as a result of the rotor delamination. In the months prior to inspection, stop time/distance was noticeably increased, and light pulsing could be felt when coming to a stop. An appointment to replace the rotors and brakes was made for 4/29/22 at 10 AM. Approximately 1 hour after the inspection, the vehicles in front of me came to an abrupt stop due to an intersection ahead. I was not able to stop in time and hit the vehicle in front of me, which was at a stop. That vehicle then lurched forward and hit the vehicle in front of it. After impact, the front upper and lower airbags deployed very slowly, but did not fully inflate. The radiator cracked as a result of the collision, as coolant began leaking from the vehicle and the vehicle began to smoke prior to me turning it off. There was extensive damage to the lower front bumper and hood, as well as mild damage to the quarter panels. Further damage is unknown at this time, as the vehicle was towed and is being assessed for repairs. No other persons involved in the crash were injured. I have sustained very mild bruising of my left knee from the steering column, soreness in the back of my neck and upper back, soreness in my right hip, and a very mild chemical burn in my throat (presumably from the airbag powder).

AT FULL SPEED THE CAR COMPLETELY LOSES ALL ELECTRONICS INCLUDING POWER STEERING, BRAKING, AND THE DASH GOES BLANK. THEN IT FLASHES A SERVICE TRANSMISSION WARNING WHILE EVERY ALARM AND LIGHT ON THE DASH COMES ON. AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PUTTING IT IN PARK IT WILL RESTART AGAIN. THE NEXT INCIDENT THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE AND IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, WHEN THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CAME ON AND THE CAR CAME TO AN ABRUPT HALT FROM 15 MPH TO 0. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF AND ON AGAIN AND IT DROVE OK. I SUSPECT THAT SOMEONE IS TAKING OVER MY CAR USING THE OBD2 PORT. I WAS AT AN APPOINTMENT ON MONDAY AND AROUND 7:00 PM I HEARD MY CAR LOCKED AND I HAD MY CAR ALREADY LOCKED. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AGAIN IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE SCRAMBLED ICONS ON THE SCREEN. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE SINCE WORKING AT CATALENT IN HARMANS MD. I HAD A COUPLE OF PHONE CALLS THAT OCCURRED PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT HAPPENING WHICH WAS ABOUT 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO MY CAR LOCKING OR THE INDICATION OF IT LOCKING WHEN THE HORN WENT OFF TWICE. MY CAR WAS PARKED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING LOCATED IN ROSEDALE MARYLAND, 8767 PHILADELPHIA RD SUITE C, ZIP CODE 21237. THE CAR HAS BEEN FEELING WEIRD EVER SINCE WHILE DRIVING. WHEN WORKING AT CATALENT, I HAVE 3 POLICE REPORTS OF PEOPLE WHO HAD GOTTEN INTO MY CAR ON MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS EVEN BREAKING ITEMS IN MY CAR. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED UNTIL I STARTED WORKING WITH THIS JOB. I AM NO LONGER WORKING THERE NOW DUE TO HOSTILE WORKING CONDITIONS AND WAS FIRED DUE TO HAVING NEGATIVE TIME. IN WHICH THOSE TIMES REQUIRED ME TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED AND DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS THAT I UTILIZED PTO TIME AND WAS APPROVED BY THE SUPERVISOR. I HAVE A LAWYER SPEAKING WITH CATALENT LAWYER AS WELL AS EEOC CASES AND A WORKER'S COMPENSATION CASE DUE TO A WORKER ALLOWING A METAL 10 FOOT LADDER FALL ON MY BACK AND I WAS TOLD TO COMPLETE A NEAR MISS REPORT. I WAS OUT FOR A MONTH AND UPON MY RETURN, I OF COURSE HAD A VEHICLE ISSUE AND TOLD MY SUPERVISOR WHEN I WOULD RETURN. I TOLD HIM THAT A I WOULD RERUN ON WEDNESDAY AND WAS FIRED ON A TUESDAY. THIS HAPPENED ON JULY 27. AND STILL, I SUSPECT THAT THEY ARE STILL FINDING WAYS TO SABOTAGE MY VEHICLE.

I TRIED TWO DIFFERENT JEEP/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS, ONE IN ALHAMBRA WHICH IS WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM AND THE OTHER LOCATION I TOOK THE CAR WAS THE ONE IN DOWNEY,CA. WHILE DRIVING THIS MORNING AT 70 MPH MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE 2.0 TURBO LOST ALL POWER, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. I FOUGHT TO PULL IT OFF THE ROAD. RIGHT WHEN IT STALLED OUT THE MESSAGE CENTER STATED "AUTO START/STOP NOT AVAILABLE" AND THE AUTO START/STOP LIGHT ILLUMINATED ALONG WITH THE BATTERY LIGHT. THE 'D' DRIVE INDICATOR ON THE DASH WAS BLINKING. UPON STOPPING AND PLACING THE VEHICLE IN PARK, IT TURNED OVER BUT WOULD NOT START. I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, AND NOTHING. THE CAR ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN AUTO STOP AS THE DOOR CHIME DINGED WHEN THE DOOR WAS OPEN AND HEADLIGHTS WERE OFF (PUSH BUTTON START). LOCKING THE VEHICLE LEFT THE DASH LIT UP LIKE IT WAS RUNNING. CHRYSLER HAD IT TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE IT IS WAITING TO BE LOOKED AT. CHRYSLER WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR US BECAUSE THEY SAY THERE ARE NO CODES ON THE VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY AND IT'S NOT EVEN SAFE TO DRIVE. AGAIN, WE WERE TOWING IT BEHIND THE MOTOR HOME AND HAD DONE SO ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THERE ARE A SET OF STEPS THAT YOU HAVE TO DO BEFORE TOWING THE VEHICLE, WHICH I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I CALLED JEEP HEADQUARTERS THREE TIMES TODAY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYONE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN BEING INFORMED OF THIS. HAD THIS HAPPENED WHILE MY HUSBAND OR I WERE ACTUALLY DRIVING THE CAR, INSTEAD OF TOWING IT, IT COULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS AS I ASSUME IT ALSO WOULD HAVE ENGAGED THE AIRBAGS. OUR JEEP DOES NOT HAVE THE FORWARD SENSORS, JUST THE REAR SENSORS. WE DO HAVE THE PARKING BRAKE SET (U-CONNECT) TO AUTO ENGAGE WHEN SHIFTED INTO PARK. WE ARE CONCERNED THIS COULD HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. I'M BRINGING IT TO THE DEALER IN THE MORNING.

ON MARCH 29, 2019 AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND WAS APPROACHING THIS INTERSECTION, THE LIGHT CHANGED TO YELLOW. WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES SO THAT I COULD STOP FOR THE LIGHT, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I WAS UNABLE TO STOP FOR THE LIGHT WHICH TURNED RED FOR ME BY NOW AND I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 TO 30 MILE AN HOUR. I TRIED PUMPING THE BRAKES, BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS POSITIONED ON THE FLOOR. AS I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO GO THROUGH THE RED LIGHT, I KEPT MY HAND ON THE HORN TO TRY AND AVOID AN ACCIDENT. THERE WERE CARS STARTING TO GO THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, THE CLOSEST CAR ALMOST HIT MY PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. BY THIS POINT I WAS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL NERVOUS WRECK. HOW COULD MY BRAND NEW 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE PLUS THAT I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR THIRTEEN DAYS HAVE BRAKE FAILURE? I HAVE DRIVING FOR 45 YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN. I WAS A LITTLE OVER TWO MILES AWAY FROM WORK WITH NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. WHEN MY VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, DRIVING THROUGH CITY STREETS, AND I TRY TO APPLY THE BREAK IT ACCELERATES INSTEAD. THE RPM'S WILL REACH 4000 OR 5000 AND HOLD THERE. I WAS TOLD BY CHRYSTLER TO APPLY THE GAS QUICKLY THEN BREAK WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO STOP MY VEHICLE. THIS IS UNSAFE AND I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN CAR. I ALSO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE MAKING A KNOCKING SOUND AT TIMES, AND THE RADIO FADES IN AND OUT, WITH THAT FEATURE TURNED OFF, AS WELL AS SHUTTING COMPLETELY DOWN AND RESETTING ITSELF. PRIOR TO THE RECALL IN NOV OF 2018 THIS SAME VEHICLE FROM ONE WEEK OF PURCHASE WOULD STALL WHILE I WAS DRIVING THROUGH CITY STREETS. ALL OF THESE THINGS HAPPEN AT A SPEED OF 35 OR LESS. THE CAR WENT FROM STALLING TO AFTER RECALL UPDATE IT IS NOW ACCELERATING WHEN TRYING TO STOP. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE AND CHRYSTLER EITHER SO THEY ARE SAYING THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN MY OWN CAR. I AM WORRIED THERE WILL BE A TIME I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THE CAR BEFORE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER TWO WEEKS, THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE AND IT STALLED TWO MILES LATER. ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND BARELY MADE IT HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AGAIN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A LOOSE WIRE. WHILE I AM IN MOVEMENT DRIVING MY VEHICLE. WITHOUT ANY WARNING LIGHTS POPPING UP IN MY DASHBOARD. MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPS. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY AND A SEMI TRUCK WAS DRIVING BEHIND ME. I HIT MY BRAKES FAST ENOUGH SO THAT THE SEMI TRUCK COULD REACT IN TIME, BUT OTHERWISE I COULD IT HAVE GOTTEN IMPACTED FROM THE BACK WHICH I AM SURE. IT WOULD IT HAVE CAUSE MORE THAN JUST AND ACCIDENT. THE DATE THIS HAPPENED I NOTICED THE CAR KIND OF SLOWED DOWN ITS VELOCITY FAST AND DRAMATICALLY WHEN IT STOP. IT WAS STILL RUNNING, NO SMOKE OR ANYTHING COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. I DID NOTICED THAT THE HEATER FELT EXTREMELY HOT MORE THAN NORMAL WHICH IT ALSO MADE ME PANIC A BIT. SHE SHIFT GEAR I WASN'T ABLE YO MOVE IT AT ALL. THEY HAD ADVISED ME AT THE DEALERSHIP ONE OF THE MECHANICS THAT SOMETIMES, IF THIS HAPPENED; TO TURN THE CAR OFF FOR 10 MINS AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON. I DID THAT, THAT NIGHT AND WHEN THE CAR TURN BACK OF THE STABILITY LIGH WARNING CAME ON, THE BRAKES LIGHT CAME ON, THE ENGINE LIGH CAME ON, THE EMERGENCY PARKING LIGHT CAME ON, BUT THIS THIS I WAS WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFT STICK BUT I COULD ONLY DRIVE FORWARD. I TRIED TO REVERSE AND GO BACK BUT IT WASN'T LETTING ME. MY SENSORS WERE BEEPING AS IF I WAS NEAR OR CLOSE TO HITTING SOMETHING. WHEN MY CAR WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE HIGHWAY. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I NOTICED WHILE SEATING IN MY CAR. THIS NORMALLY HAPPENS TO MY SUV WHEN IT'S VERY COLD OUTSIDE. WE ARE TALKING -4 DEGREES, BUT I AM SURPRISED BECAUSE THIS IS A 2019 VEHICLE THAT I HAVE AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 5 MONTHS. WHILE DRIVING MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE I WAS ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN COLORADO. THE ROADS WERE NOT ICY OR COVERED IN SNOW. TRAFFIC CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP IN FRONT OF ME. I PUT ON THE BRAKES, PUSHING DOWN ALL THE WAY AS FAST AS I COULD. THERE WAS CLOSE TO 2 CAR LENGTHS BETWEEN ME AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, BUT MY VEHICLE WAS TAKING FOREVER TO STOP. IT ULTIMATELY DID NOT STOP IN TIME AND I HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. BOTH THE VEHICLES WERE DAMAGED AND I BROKE MY HAND. THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS BRAKING IT FELT LIKE THE CAR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED A LOT QUICKER BUT IT JUST WAS NOT STOPPING. I SAW THERE HAS BEEN ISSUES WITH THE BRAKES ON THE 2019 JEEP CHEROKEES.

THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A SNOWY MOUNTAIN ROAD. ALL LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO STOP IN THE OPPOSING LANE OF TRAFFIC AND RESTART THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING STRUCK. THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTINUED TO FLASH INTO WARNING AND LIMP MODE SEVERAL TIMES BUT WE WERE 100'S OF MILES FROM A DEALERSHIP. WE CONTINUED WITH THE PROBLEM UNTIL WE WERE ABLE TO LIMP HOME AND BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE ALSO REVVED UP TO 4000 RPM WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND NOT TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR. THE LOW TIRE LIGHTS KEPT ROTATING TO DIFFERENT TIRES AS I DROVE WITH NONE BEING LOW. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A VACUUM LINE AND THEY DROVE IT FOR 10 MILES WITHOUT RESULT. THIS VEHICLE ALMOST KILLED US ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS.

UNABLE TO PUT VEHICLE IN PARK TURN OFF THE STARTER AND AFTER ABOUT 30-60 SECONDS ABLE TO PUT INTO PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. ON 12-2-18 I WAS SLOWING FOR A STOP LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO PUT THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON WHEN I COULDN'T GET THE STARTER TO DISENGAGE AND PUT INTO PARK TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. IT OCCURS WITHOUT WARNING AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE MUST BE PULLED UP. 2. THE BRAKES OFTEN SOUND LIKE THEY ARE RUBBING (NEEDING BRAKE PADS). 3. THE RADIO WILL RANDOMLY CHANGE FROM FM TO SIRIUS AND UNABLE TO TURN OFF/ON OR RETURN TO THE RADIO MENU. 4. THE RADIO VOLUME MOST OF TIME MUST BE AT 15 OR HIGHER TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO AND WILL RANDOMLY JUMP TO FULL VOLUME WHILE DRIVING. 5. THE ANDROID AUTO THAT I USE FOR NAVIGATION AND TELEPHONE WILL RANDOMLY SCROLL THROUGH THE TELEPHONE CONTACTS AND BEGIN CALLING. I HAVE TO UNPLUG THE PHONE TO STOP THIS.

THE MANAGER HAD NOT CALLED THE CONTACT BACK AND THE CONTACT'S REQUEST WAS ESCALATED TO A SUPERVISOR. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THE VEHICLE BE RETURNED AND EXCHANGED. DEALER (FRED MARTIN SUPERSTORE) REFUSED TO OFFER AN APPOINTMENT TO ME FOR THIS RECALL AND SAID TO CALL BACK IN OCTOBER. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER (JEEP/FCA) AND THEY CALLED THE DEALER AND CONFIRMED THE SAME. I CALLED ANOTHER JEEP DEALER AND WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THIS RECALL SERVICE, BUT THE SOONEST THEY COULD GET ME IN WAS SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2018. THIS ALL TOOK FIVE HOURS OF MY TIME AND I AM FORCED TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITHOUT THIS RECALL BEING PERFORMED, AND A SAFETY RISK, FOR AT LEAST 20 MORE DAYS. *TT
