My vehicle is under an open safety recall 01C involving the PTU system, and there has been no remedy available for nearly a year. This defect caused a dangerous and sudden loss of acceleration while I was driving, and the manufacturer has still provided no fix, and no support through the dealership. The incident occurred when I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green,I pressed the gas and the vehicle immediately made a loud grinding/shaking noise, shuddered violently, and lost all propulsion. The car would barely move. I was extremely lucky that there was a parking lot directly next to the intersection, and with the tiny amount of movement left,I was able to coast into it. If this failure had happened anywhere else—on a highway, in the middle of an intersection, or without a place to pull off—I could have been rear-ended or caused a collision. My safety was put at immediate risk due to this recall defect. I contacted the dealership, but they stated they could not repair the vehicle because Jeep/Stellantis had not released a remedy, parts, or service procedure for the recall. I was told multiple times that there was nothing they could do until Jeep provided a fix. After the breakdown, an independent shop confirmed the PTU failure, since the dealer still had no ability to repair it. All failed components and documentation are available for inspection. I lost use of my vehicle and was forced to take safety into my own hands. When I submitted reimbursement documentation to Jeep Customer Care, they denied it because the repair was not done at a certified dealer and did not use MOPAR parts—even though no certified repair or MOPAR parts exist for this recall. This leaves me without a safe vehicle, without a remedy, and without support. I am requesting NHTSA intervention due to the ongoing safety risk and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a timely fix and proper reimbursement for their admitted issue with the vehicle.
there are 3 lights that keep jumping on P! ENGINE LIGHT CAR WITH SQUILLEY lines behind it have took it jeep for diagnostic cleared all codes drove fine for 2 weekswas told it has something to do with transmission took to 2 different transmission shops not the transmission now it has started cutting off as im driving the ELECTRICAL THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT will come on and it will cut off in traffic I looked online the same problems im having was on the recall list but not my vin.how is that i called earlier and talked to rep.she said my vin.was not up there dont understand how not when its doing everything thats on the list.i was told at first it was my wheel speed sensor replaced all 4 then spark plugs and wiresthen one day while i was driving there was a popping noise took to mech. thought wheel speed sensor broke or came off took off tire nothing was wrong couldnt find a problem under vehicle
While driving 50mhp the vehicle sounded like it was stalling. Couldn't speed up. Svc 4wd and stop/ start system unavailable. There should be a recall to repair but the dealer has no solution or parts. Need solution asap
When driving I experienced the loss of power when trying to accelerate. My Jeep began to exhibit a loud noise and vibration which sounded like a "Jack Hammer" being used. There was a smell like something was burning, there was jerking, grinding, making clunking noises and happened each time I was making a turn or trying to accelerate. This put my safety and other drivers safety at risk because it could have caused an accident especially with the loss of power. My wheels can lock up and this will cause me not be able to steer or have control over my vehicle. This can cause harm to myself and others which can include death of either party. I do have fluid that leaks from under the vehicle and the burning smell comes through the car vents. The problem has been reported to a confirmed Jeep dealership, Fred Frederick with no resolution because they are still unable to obtain the parts. I contacted them as soon as I was notified of the recall which was January 23, 2025. My AWD light does come on and off but I am uncertain of the dates. My Jeep Cherokee has the 2.4L Turbo engine. I also notice that the FCW does not operate properly as before and since this incident, I am not able to drive my vehicle due the unexpected loss of motion/power while driving and to prevent further damage.
The rear differential is separating. If it fails, the car will suddenly cease operation, which may result in a collision. The part was inspected and the defect confirmed by the dealer. No warning lights are active yet.
1. The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) failed, which also caused damage to the transmission and rear drive system. The PTU is part of Recall 25V-011 / Jeep Campaign 01C. The failed components and all related service documentation are available for inspection upon request from Boone Jeep (July 8, 2025) and Randy Marion Jeep (September 10, 2025). No, PTU part was available. 2. While driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly jerked hard, lost all power, and became inoperable, putting me and other motorists at immediate risk of collision. The vehicle also would not go into Park, creating a rollaway hazard once stopped. These incidents occurred with my grandchildren in the vehicle, making it a severe safety concern. Despite confirming the PTU recall diagnosis, Jeep returned the vehicle to me with no repair available or timeline for a fix, forcing me to continue driving an unsafe vehicle. 3. Yes. Boone Jeep confirmed the PTU failure on July 8, 2025, after diagnosing major jerking, grinding, and loss of power. Later, Randy Marion Jeep also confirmed on September 10, 2025, that the PTU had failed again and that the rear drive and transmission were also damaged due to the same issue. The September 10th one was after I had the transmission replaced. 4. Yes. The vehicle has been inspected by two authorized Jeep dealerships (Boone Jeep and Randy Marion Jeep), acting as manufacturer representatives. Both confirmed the PTU failure and associated damage. No police or insurance inspections have been conducted. 5. Yes, warning light Service 4WD first appeared around springtime this year. This PTU defect has now caused multiple drivetrain failures, including the transmission and rear drive, and continues to pose a serious safety risk. The vehicle remains unsafe to drive, and Jeep has no available remedy for Recall 25V-011 / 01C. Immediate manufacturer action is needed to provide a repair or reimbursement.
My Service AWD light came on. I had the system checked in February of 2025. I was informed it was a bad PTU system. My car makes a clunking then whining noise when driving. It cannot go over 55 mph before losing power. My VIN doesn’t come up in the recall list but it has the same diagnostic issues The issue was diagnosed at Heritage Jeep in Harrisburg on 2/15/2025 Receipt order # 218197. Customer number 42k8761762
on multiple occasions when driving and trying to increase speed (such as after pulling out of my driveway) the car makes a sudden jerking almost or like something "misses" and it slows down and takes a couple seconds to regain again. On the most recent occasion, the engine light then came on and wouldn't go off. The code when tested, said it had to do with the transmission.
My 2019 jeep Cherokee latitude only had 25000 miles on it when i bought it. Within a month the emergence break would come on by itself randomly while driving or beginning to accelerate from a parked or stopped state. Vehicle also can be parked completely level and it states the vehicle needs to be returned to park and restarted. Meanwhile all the lights come on on the dash and the shifter lights up red. Every single gear. It literally will not move unless you drift. It also will not start randomly, you will go out get in and for no reason it won’t turn over, yet the electrical systems will turn in fine, it’s getting power. In order for this to stop, you have to keep turning it on and off and apply the parking brake and the brake and than release them…. Over and over with intermittent breaks in between until it finally turns over. If you manage to get it started than it won’t shift properly. It stays in an extremely low gear unless you accelerate rapidly. And it won’t accelerate rapidly, your foot can be to the floor and it’s barely going until it gets into third and than just keeps rising never down shifting again until you coast to a stop and have to turn it off again and start the process over. On hills when this happens you will get hit and killed bc it won’t go in time for you to get out of oncoming traffic’s way. It has shut off while driving on the highway. Left me stranded blocking people in in parking lots. And almost gotten me and my family killed in several occasions. There are no similar circumstances in which it does this. It is comletely random and that makes it terrifying. I have 2 children that I am afraid to take anywhere now, and the jeep was bought to keep them safe and able to get anywhere in case of inclement weather etc. as if that’s not enough, the passenger seat floor is always wet. There is no leak coming in from doors or windows so I have no idea. And the radio and ac/heat turn on and off by themselves constantly
While driving on the highway the vehicle suddenly loses power when trying to get up to speed limits. The following warning messages occur: 4WD System Unavailable Service Required, ACC/FCW Limited Functionality Service Required, Service Electronic Stability Control, Service Electronic Throttle Control. Could have caused rear collision or other accidents from trying to pull over. Creates a very dangerous situation on highways with no shoulders. Once the vehicle has slowed down it impossible to get back up to speeds, as it has to be pulled over and restarted. Upon inspection by Reed Jeep Dealership, the PTU needs to be replaced. Other similar year, make and models have already been recalled for this same issue.
Car shuts off, once while in the middle of a turn almost went off road and couldn’t use brake or turn wheel. There were three other times it shut off at red lights and I have to put car in park and press the start button. Two of those times car had just started with oil light, was told that it is linked to the oil and to always keep it full until recall is issued. However yesterday on my way to work with full oil it shut off again. I then did my regular way to fix it and kept driving to work, out of nowhere my car starts only being able to drive up to 29 miles per hour I’m just about to get on the highway so I pull over and have to shut off again fixing the problem. This seems incredibly dangerous due to it also when having this shut off issue a notice on my car says service 4wd unavailable. We live in New England the snow can be pretty bad. This car feels unsafe, I hope you realize this model has many issues and will address them, thank you!
The Power transfer unit ( PTU) is affected, yes it is available for inspection. The vehicle is unsafe to drive. Yes, it has been confirmed by Midas and a local Jeep dealer. It has been inspected by the auto repair shops. Yes, an alert came up SVC 4W and confirmed that it is the PTU issue, same day examined.
The infotainment screen in my 2019 Jeep Cherokee intermittently shuts off while driving. This occurs unexpectedly and has happened multiple times, sometimes while using navigation or the backup camera. On several occasions, the screen has turned completely blue and remained unresponsive for several minutes. The screen controls audio, climate, and safety features, and its failure creates distractions and limits access to key vehicle functions. This issue occurs randomly and has not been resolved. I brought the vehicle to a dealership, and was told that unless there is a recall, there is little they can do beyond basic troubleshooting. I have not received any warning messages or error codes related to this issue. The problem appears to stem from either a software malfunction or a hardware issue with the Uconnect system. The component is available for inspection upon request. This screen failure impacts visibility and access to controls, creating a potential safety risk.
Transmission failure due to faulty PTU while vehicle was moving at approximately 70 mph. My car rapidly decreased speed and drive power while in middle lanes of highway. The car is at a service center and available for inspection. The problem was diagnosed by an authorized service center. The vehicle has not been inspected by other parties. There were no warnings, indicators, or symptoms prior to the failure
I was driving approximately 30 mph on an exit ramp and as I pressed the gas to accelerate when I got below speed, the drive power completely ceased, started making a noise that I have never heard, almost like a baseball card in a bicycle wheel. The screen flashed a 4WD alert, and then shut off / went completely black. I could not accelerate, I could not turn the wheel at all as it locked up, and once the car finally stopped, I had to keep the break pressed because it would not shift into park. it wouldn't move forward but i was afraid if i let my foot off, it would randomly start again. A truck behind me nearly crashed into the back of my car which would have killed me. I quickly had to pull off to the right in the shoulder as my car came to a dead stop. My car was towed by AAA and brought to the nearest mechanic, as that is the only way they will tow a car. I was told the engine is shot. I have 40,000 miles on my 2019 car. this is completely unacceptable. I know there is a recall for EXACTLY what happened to my car on THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL CAR, but apparently my VIN is not included in the recall. I'm out $13,000 that I owe on this car now and have no options at all financially.
Have been dead spots in the gas pedal since we bought it, had almost caused accidents a few times. The transmission has been banging in gear for 4 years. The rear brake calipers do not work. I have asked the dealer many times why my 19 doesn't have the recalls for thus like the 18 and 20 do. They have no answers. I
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to immediately accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the vehicle was hesitating while accelerating. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 19,000.
Mileage: 19,000
During acceleration to pass another vehicle, my engine had lost all power and acceleration and I had to make a split decision to brake and maneuver my vehicle back into my lane behind multiple vehicles who were behind me before I attempted to pass. Had there have been oncoming traffic within that mentally unaccounted time that I was in the opposite lane, I could have been in a very large deadly accident. Cylinder 1 and 2 are testing at 0 compression, Oil is leaking into the turbo and out of the exhaust. I have had regular oil changes and a tune up with the mentioning of a low power and jolting issue during acceleration and the dealership did not look into my concerns other than their simple findings of one burnt spark plug, I had all 4 replaced at that appointment, the engine is broken about 6 months later.
While the car was in motion, the car slowed almost to a complete stop & the check engine light came on, along with the alert “Service Electronic Stability Control”. When pressing on the gas, almost no power was present. Vehicle barely moves. This has happened several times in the last 4 weeks. The first time on 11/12/2024, the most recent time 12/4/2024.The throttle was replaced, but the incident repeated. The vehicle also occasionally rolls when it is put in park.
I was driving in city traffic and when I tried to accelerate, the Jeep would not increase in speed. It caught per se and nothing happened. Then, the Jeep started downshifting very hard upon slowing. When we went to the dealer and spoke with the technician, he immediately said that the computer needed updating. He said he's been seeing this a lot in these models. Sure enough, $300 dollars later and an upgraded computer, it is driving fine. I want to add that the dealer and service department was great, I just think this problem is somehow on Jeep's end.
This is the second time that the PTU has failed. Svc 4wd and ACC not available again. Radio is malfunctioning.
Vehicle stops accelerating randomly and loses power. Service electronic throttle control light comes on and engine light and traction control light and vehicle will not accelerate or stalls. Had vehicle towed to dealership and the code is saying the PTU is bad and needs to be replaced. This happens all the time, thankfully I’ve been very lucky thus far not having my children in the vehicle with me when it happens as this could cause a very serious accident.
URGENT: Date of near life & death situation.10-6-2023.This 2019 KL Cherokee lost accelerating power while in heavy traffic. As the car was losing speed the "D" drive indicator on center dash started flashing a moments later 2 messages displayed: Msg 1: Service transmission Restart in Park with vehicle @ zero speed. Msg 2: Shift to park or neutral Press brakes and select gear. (Center dash is the screen between tachometer and speedometer) Followed instructions, turned key to off position for a few seconds then started engine placed shifter in drive, accelerated engine to 2000 RPMs, car failed to move. Turned key off a second time, waited about 18 seconds for the mileage readout to clear then another 6 seconds (+-) for the outline light bars for the center screen to clear. Then when started it engaged a drive gear. Even in residential areas there are large trash trucks and large delivery trucks hurrying about, added to this vehicle faulting in roadway much less a center lane on the interstate with no time to pull out of traffic. Don't trust the car seat and booster seat even with air bags to save your children. Action is required to remove these vehicles from service after it has been proven the manufacturer cannot supply the dealership with a successful repair for a well documented failure of a common safety hazard in many of their vehicles. The dealership did not duplicate the problem but did confirm all of the information supplied them matched with the faults stored in PCM Memory. Not being able to duplicate leaves the Technician with just an image of the perils these faults puts the operator and public in, Catastrophic. No specific component could be proven at fault, with vehicle operating normal. After a diagnostic fault code retrieval the option was to allow them to spend maximum 6 hours in electrical testing to verify integrity of electrical connections and components. Trust and confidence in an organizations leadership to accept responsibility for mistakes
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle randomly accelerated. The RPM had increased to a high level. The 4WD service message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the PTU needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, there was an abnormal dinging sound. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the same local dealer, where it was determined that the PTU was blocked and not working. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

The car lost acceleration power when driving, showed no codes, and displayed a message to shift to park and restart car. This incident happened twice including after the car was taken to the dealer, who could not find anything wrong with the car. A google search revealed several 2018 vehicles with that problem and a recall for 2017 models and earlier; however, the 2018 model has not been recalled and should be.
I believe my PCM went bad.
Hello -- My Jeep has had a repetitive issue with the Start/Stop system since I took ownership. In recent months, my vehicle has stalled on two separate occasions by completely shutting down at a stop light. First the "hood switch is open" alert comes up, then an emergency braking alert comes up, all while the vehicle completely shuts off as I am accelerating. This is extremely dangerous as it could definitely cause an accident as I'm mid-intersection. I have taken my vehicle to Jeep to complain of the issue, but they have let me know that the vehicle is not recording the error codes and there is nothing to be done. They literally send me home to continue driving it and have the stalling happen again. I have done extensive research and found that I am not the only Jeep owner with this issue. In fact, they have also gone through very similar frustrations with the dealership as they state there is nothing to be done. From my research it looks like it could be the IBS connector (intelligent battery sensor), but it also could be a poor electrical system. Please help.
On saturday 3/5/22 around 2:30 pm i was driving and the engine shut off on midlle of street. No warning or any previus signs. On sunday 3/6/22 i got a low oil presure warning ligth. The safety of my family and any person around us was at risk becouse my vehicle was in movement, it could have couse an accident luckily i was driving in a street at low speed if it had happened at high speed it could be really bad. There was not an accident for police to report and today is sunday so the jeep corporation does not work on sundays, so no one have inspected the problem. Like i stated on the day after the engine shut off i got a low oil pressure warning light on the dashboard. I have read some information on internet of issues were the tiger jeep engine shuts of and couses serius accidents and i am concern for my familly safety while using the jeep. Last time i had this issue the jeep company was supposed to fix the issue of engines shutting down with the recall. Please help solve this problem before someone get into a serius accident.
First the auto stop quit working. The vehicle lost power as I was driving and no warning lights have come on. Now the cruise control has stoped working with no warning lights. Periodically the vehicle will lose power the radio/screen will reset as your driving.
The P2122 OBD-II trouble, or fault, code means that the vehicle's on-board computer has detected low voltage in the throttle position sensor (TPS), which is usually below 0.17 volts. The battery is also at 8.3 volts indicating a potential short somewhere and potentially a faulty alternator. This is not what you want while driving a vehicle.
My vehicle turned off in traffic, the emergency break kicked in, jerked my car backwrads, and then turned back on almost causing me to wreck. It has happened three times.
In January of 2021 I was driving my vehicle out of the car wash when it suddenly accelerated on its own across a busy roadway out of the parking lot. The vehicle was going 65 MPH without my foot on the gas. I had to keep my foot on the brake to control its speed and get myself to work that way. I got the car to stop in those parking lot and put the vehicle in Park. The RPMs shot up to 5000, the Stop Start and a couple of other warning lights were on. I shut the vehicle off, restarted it and then it was fine as if nothing ever happened. After work I brought the vehicle to the dealer, they checked the OBD computer and verified that the incident happened. They replaced some sensor and everything was fine until May 20th, 2021. On that day the vehicle started to accelerate on its own again. I immediately pulled into a Walmart parking lot, put the vehicle in Park, took a picture of the dashboard to show the dealer and turned the vehicle off. I did not run the car long enough for the warning lights to come on. I restarted the vehicle and again it was as if nothing happened. I bright the vehicle to my dealership and as of 06/08/2021 it is still there waiting on Chrysler to figure something out. The dealer cannot fix it unless they can get it to happen again because I did not run the car long enough for the OBD computer to register and record the second incident as per Chrysler’s policy.
THE STARTER WENT BAD AROUND 40,000 MILES. SOMETIMES IT STARTS OTHER TIMES IT TAKES HOURS TO START. I ALWAYS GET A NOTIFACTION THAT SAYS STARTER PROTECTION MODE ENGIN WARMING AFTER A FEW FAILED START ATTEMPTS. THE CAR STALLS OUT OFTEN. ANY TURNS SHUT THE CAR OFF. OIL MUST BE ADDED TWICE A MONTH TO FIX THE STALL ISSUE. HALF THE TIME IT SAYS 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND CRUISE CONTROL UNAVAILABLE. THIS JEEP IS A LEMON. A DISASTROUS PURCHASE. SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE STARTERS AS MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. 2 YEAR OLD CAR COSTING ME 900 TO FIX STARTER IS A JOKE.

TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL CLICKING NOISE DETECTED. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE STOPPED OR ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO RESPOND AND IS ONGOING. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TWICE TO RON LEWIS AUTOMOTIVE GROUP (600 CLAIRTON BLVD, PITTSBURGH, PA 15236, (412) 655-7500) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE WORKED AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.*DT*JB

THE JEEP STARTED STALLING WHEN IN MOTION/ DRIVING ABOUT A MONTH AGO, IT USUALLY HAPPENED WHEN BRAKING TO STOP AND THE JEEP WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. IT TAKES ABOUT THREE TIMES TO TURN OVER AND START BACK UP. YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSIER ROAD THE JEEP STARTED THROWING ERRORS STAYING SYSTEMS WERE NOT WORKING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE IT THROUGH THE STOP LIGHT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OR ACCELERATE. I GOT IT PULLED OVER IN A GAS STATION PARKING LOT AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN OVER THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEN IT FINALLY DID. NOT WHEN I TRY TO REMOTE START THE VEHICLE IT WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. EVERY TIME I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND I AM LUCKY I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AS NOTHING WORKS NOT EVEN MY HAZARD LIGHTS. I FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE ANYMORE. WHEN THE ELECTRIC ISSUE HAPPENED YESTERDAY THERE WAS A RED FLASHING LIGHTENING BOLT ON THE DASH AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WAS ALSO FLASHING WHEN IT WAS TELLING ME CERTAIN SYSTEMS WERE NOT WOKING. I TRIED TO GET A PICTURE BUT IT DID NOT TAKE. I AM CURRENT IN CANADA AT COLLEGE AND WITH THE BORDERS BEING CLOSED I CAN NOT JUST DRIVE TO NY TO GET IT LOOKED AT. I TRIED TO CALL A JEEP DEALER HERE BUT NOW ONE WILL RETURN MY CALLS

WHOLE STATIONARY, THE JEEP HAS ACTED LIKE IT DIDN'T WANT TO START 4 SEPARATE TIMES, THE CLIMATE CHANGES ITSELF TO GO THE THE FRONT VENT ON HIGH HEAT EVERY TIME THE CAR IS TURNED ON REGARDLESS OF SETTING BEFORE TURNING OFF, AND RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN. THE AUX PORT ON THE CONSOLE WILL WORK ONE DAY AND NOT THE NEXT. WHILE DRIVING, THE CRUISE CONTROL HAS STOPPED WORKING TWICE. ALL THIS HAPPENED IN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS.

FROM THE THAT I DROVE IT OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP I NOTICED THAT APPLYING THE GAS DID NOT GET ME THE INSTANT NEEDED POWER TO GET THIS 6-CYLINDER CAR MOVING. IN NOVEMBER THIS CAR WITH LESS THAT 300 MILES WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN IT ALSO DEVELOPED A SURGE IN POWER AND A FLUCTUATING ENGINE REVVING... IT SPENT A MONTH AT THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE THEY COULD DETERMINE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THAT PROBLEM MAY HAVE BEEN SOLVED BUT THE ACCELERATION IS STILL A CONCERN OF OURS WHICH WE NEED TO LIVE WITH FOR ANOTHER 2-YEARS WHICH IS THE REMAINDER OF OUR LEASE. *TR
Mileage: 300
I HAVE REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND REVVING UP WHILE DRIVING TODAY. BUT I GOT IN MY JEEP WENT DOWN THERE ROAD TO A STOP SIGN. THEN PRECEDED TO DRIVE AND THE JEEP JUST ROARED AND DID NOT ACCELERATE, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD THEN HERE COMES TRAFFIC CLOSER. THE TRANSMISSION IS A PROBLEM. THERE IS NO FIXING, EVERY JEEP SHIP I GO TO, THEY DON'T FINE NOTHING. *TR
Mileage: 35,000
THERE JEEP HAS DIFFERENT ACCELERATION THAT ARE UNSAFE. WITH REGULAR DRIVING YOU CAN GIVE IT GAS AND IT'S SLOW GOING THEN SOME TIMES IT WILL JUMP PICKING UP SPEED FAST. THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUSH THE ACCELERATOR DOWN THE SANE WITH EITHER WAY IT SPEED UP. MY CONCERN IS IF IM BEHIND SOMEONE AT A LIGHT AND I GO TO TAKE OFF IT MIGHT DO THE THING WHERE IT PICKS UP SPEED FAST AND I RUN IN BACK OF SOMEONE. THIS ISN'T SAFE AT ALL. *TR

MY 16 MONTH OLD JEEP TURNS OFF WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING IT. THIS HAS OCCURRED TWICE IN THE PRIOR TWO WEEKS. NO WARNING LIGHTS--THE CAR JUST TURNS OFF COMPLETELY. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THIS IS DUE TO A DROP IN OIL PRESSURE, BUT THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON. THE CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO THE GUIDELINES WITHIN THE MANUAL WHICH STATES TO CHANGE THE OIL WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THAT IT SHOULD NEVER GO BEYOND 10,000 MILES BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. WHEN THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE ISSUE WE WERE ADVISED THAT THE REALITY IS THAT THE OIL NEEDS CHANGED EVERY 4,000 MILES AND THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT MORE FREQUENT OIL CHANGES REDUCES THE LIKELIHOOD OF THIS OCCURRING. MY 16 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING THE CAR THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED AND THE SECOND TIME IT WAS ON A 45 MILE AN HOUR ROAD. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND YET CHRYSLER/JEEP DOES NOTHING TO RESOLVE IT.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ONE NIGHT AND ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON AND THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO ATTEMPT TO PULL OVER AND SWITCH THE KEY OFF AND BACK ON TO RESTART THE ENGINE. I ALSO HAVE BEEN AT A STOP MULTIPLE TIMES AND TURN OUT INTO THE ROAD AND MY VEHICLE WON'T GO, WHICH COULD RESULT IN ME GETTING HIT. I ALSO HAD MY RECALL 'FIXED' FOR THE POWER TRAIN, WENT BACK BECAUSE I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER SAYING IT WAS POSSIBLY NOT FIXED AND IT STILL TELLS ME THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED ON MY VEHICLE. I CANNOT USE CRUISE CONTROL ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE WHEN IT GOES DOWN THE SLIGHTEST HILL, CURVE, WHATEVER, THE RPMS GO ALL THE WAY UP AND JUST SIT THERE, EVEN WHEN I HAVE TURNED OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL AND BRAKED IT STILL STAYS SHIFTED UP FOR A LONG TIME. I REGRET PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY WITH A BABY ON THE WAY ANY DAY NOW AND HER SAFETY BEING AT RISK. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF FINDING ANOTHER VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 55 MPH GOING DOWNHILL THE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED, THE RPM REVVED UP AND THE VEHICLE SPED UP TO 70 MPH. 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED 2.4L TURBO. DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY ACCELERATE, RPM'S WILL INCREASE BY 2000 AND WILL NOT SLOW DOWN UNTIL CRUISE IS DISENGAGED. ALSO WHILE DRIVING IN CITY IN SURFACE ROADS WITHOUT CRUISE CONTROL, THE CAR WILL JUST STOP ACCELERATING EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE DEPRESSING GAS PEDAL. CAR COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP WHILE ENGINE STILL RUNNING. HAD TO TURN OFF CAR AND WAIT A FEW MINUTES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CANE ON WHEN CAR WAS RESTARTED WITH MESSAGE OF "CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL SENSOR". LIGHT WENT OFF BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO DEALER. DEALER SAID THE COULD NOT FIND A CODE OR DUPLICATE PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. THE LAST TIME ON 1/11/2020
Mileage: 20,000
WHEN I ACCELERATE MY VEHICLE AFTER A STOP OR GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT STALLS AND OR STUTTERS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN I HAD MY FOOT ON THE GAS.
Mileage: 20,000
VEHICLE DRIVING AND WHEN COMING TO A STOP IT SEEMS LIKE THE AUTO TURN OFF WANTS TO TURN OFF EVEN BEFORE STOPPING. FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO STALL. ALSO LEAVING A RED LIGHT WHEN IT AUTO TURNS ON IT JERKS AND THEN SWITCHING FROM FIRST TO SECONG GEAR IT JERKS. THE TRANSMISSION HAS SO MUCH LAG SWITCHING GEARS AND PICKING UP SPEED IT ALSO JERKS AND TAKES FOREVER TO PICK UP SPEED. BUT MY MOST CONCERN IS GEAR SWITCHING AND JERKING AND ALMOST STALLING WHEN COMING TO A STOP WITH THE AUTO SHUT OFF TRYING TO TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. AND WHEN IT TURNS BACK ON IT JERKS WHEN YOU GIVE IT SLIGHT GAS.
Mileage: 3,000
ACCELERATING IS JERKY AND MANY TIMES DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY AS SPEED INCREASES (INTO NEXT GEAR ON LEFT HAND SIDE ). ALSO, AS VEHICLE GOES DOWN SMALL HILLS IT SEEMS LIKE IT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO HANDLE THE DECEASE IN ACCELERATION. ALSO, WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, IT TAKES AT LEAST 30 SECONDS TO CORRECTLY RESPOND. I BROUGHT VEHICLE INTO SHOP, THEY STATED IT WAS THE VEHICLE GETTING TO KNOW HOW I DRIVE.
Mileage: 100
VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHEN DRIVING. THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT KICK IN WHEN YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT OR UP A HILL... BUT DON'T WORRY IT WILL KICK IN WHEN YOU ARE GOING DOWN A HILL! THE RADIO WILL DO WHATEVER IT WANTS FROM BLASTING MUSIC TO TURNING YOUR FAVORITE SONG OFF TO LISTEN TO AM RADIO, OR JUST LOCKING YOU OUT ALL TOGETHER . THE DEALERSHIP SAYS "IT IS JUST AN UPDATE" SORRY BUT THIS VEHICLE IS A DEATH TRAP!
Mileage: 25,000
STALLING IN THE ENGINE AND KNOCKING INTO THE ENGINE. THERE IS ALSO A STALL UPON ACCELERATION.
I TOOK MY CAR FOUR TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. THEY HAVE ONLY DONE TWO REPAIRS BUT EVERY TIME I TAKE IT AND THEY FIX SOMETHING, SOMETHING ELSE STARTS GIVING ME PROBLEMS. MY CAR HAS SHUT DOWN IN THE FREEWAY THAT WAS THE REASON WHY I TOOK IT THE FIRST TIME. THE DEALER ONLY DID AN UPDATE IN THE POWER TRAIN, WHICH THEY SAID IT WAS RECALL. AFTER THAT THE CAR CONTINUE WITH ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS THAT WERE NOT TAKEN CARE BY THE DEALERSHIP. I TRIED TWO DIFFERENT JEEP/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS, ONE IN ALHAMBRA WHICH IS WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM AND THE OTHER LOCATION I TOOK THE CAR WAS THE ONE IN DOWNEY,CA. I'M AFRAID OFF GETTING INTO A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS THE CAR HAS. THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T WANT TO FIX THE CAR AS THEY SAID THE CAR IS NOT SHOWING ANY CODES FOR THEM TO FIX THEM. THE CAR ACCELERATES BY IT SELF, THE BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY, IT SHAKES AND THE LAST TIME I TOOK THE CAR FOR REPAIR IT STARTED TO SMELL LIKE GASOLINE, ALSO THE DASHBOARD TURNS ON AND OFF BY IT SELF. I JUST WANT TO HAVE A RELIABLE CAR AS I'M PAYING FOR A 2019 VEHICLE NOT A USED ONE. I JUST DON'T WANT TO PUT MY KIDS, MYSELF, OR ANYONE'S LIFE IN DANGER DUE TO THE CAR NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED IF YOU GUYS CAN ASSIST OR HELP ME WITH THIS MATTER AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE.
THE VEHICLE DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY. IT LAGS TERRIBLY. IT DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. IT JERKS AND THE TRANSMISSION GRINDS. THE BRAKES MAKE STRANGE NOISES WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND IT DOESN'T STOP AS QUICKLY AS IT SHOULD. THE RADIO OVERHEATS AND THE USB PORTS STOP WORKING RANDOMLY. THE VEHICLE CUT OFF ON A MAJOR HWY AT ONE POINT. SEVERAL COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE DEALER AND IT HAS BEEN SERVICED MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT'S NOT CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. IT'S A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND STARTED HAVING ISSUES NOT LONG AFTER IT WAS PURCHASED. THE DEALER KEEPS RE-FLASHING THE TRANSMISSION AND IT'S NOT FIXING THE PROBLEMS THIS VEHICLE HAS. CHRYSLER WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR US BECAUSE THEY SAY THERE ARE NO CODES ON THE VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY AND IT'S NOT EVEN SAFE TO DRIVE. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO KEEP A VEHICLE THAT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW AND IT HAS HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. THE MECHANIC EVEN ADMITTED IT LAGS BUT STATED "IT'S NOT THAT BAD." THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. NO BRAND NEW VEHICLE SHOULD LAG AT ALL OR HAVE ANY OF THESE OTHER ISSUES FOR THAT MATTER!
2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE STALLS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN, THE BATTERY LIGHT DISPLAYS, AND THE VEHICLE MUST BE STOPPED, PUT IN PARK, AND RESTARTED. THIS ISSUE WAS NOTED BY A RECALL EARLIER THIS YEAR BY JEEP, BUT SERVICE FOR THE RECALL WAS INEFFECTIVE AND ISSUE REMAINS. BOTH EXPERIENCES WERE WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION (DRIVING) AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES PER HOUR BOTH ON LOW GRADE INCLINES. THE FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS WITH LESS THAN 1,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND THE 2ND EXPERIENCE WAS AT APPROXIMATELY 35,000 MILES. ALSO, THE SPEED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IS INCONSISTENT WITH BOTH LURCHING AT TAKE OFF AND SLOW ACCELERATION. *DT *DT CONSUMER STATED THE JEEP WAS TAKEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE FINAL LEG OF THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. UPON SPEAKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP, THEY STATED THAT, IN THE LAST WEEK, JEEP ACKNOWLEDGED AN ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. WE WERE FURTHER TOLD THAT A NEW ENGINE WILL BE ORDERED FOR THE JEEP BUT BECAUSE OF THE MASS AMOUNT NEEDED, IT IS A 2-3 MONTH WAIT. IN THE WAIT TIME, WE HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO CHECK AND PURCHASE OIL FOR THE JEEP EVERY 2-3 WEEKS OR AS NEEDED.*JB
Mileage: 35,000
JEEP DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. STILL HAS OTHER ISSUES STATED IN OTHER COMPLAINT; GRINDING, LURCHING. THIS CAR IS A FAIL. FILED A LEMON CLAIM THAT WAS IGNORED AND AM ABOUT TO RE FILE FOR ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS OCCURRING. I CAN'T USE CRUISE CONTROL BECAUSE THE RPMS GET WAAAY TOO HIGH FOR ME TO TRUST. THE HILLS BETWEEN PAYSON AZ AND SHOW LOW AZ ARE TOO MUCH FOR THE COMPUTER TO MANAGE, I'M WORRIED THE ENGINE WILL BLOW. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED. NOW I KNOW WHY. THEY ARE RECALLED. THIS IS A DEATH TRAP I AM PAYING 32K FOR, AND I AM LIVID. I WILL NEVER BUY JEEP AGAIN.
Mileage: 13,000

ENGINE STARTS RACING AS TURBO KICKS IN. TRANSMISSION UP SHIFTS TO HIGHER GEARS. RPM STAYS HIGH, VEHICLE DOUBLES ITS SPEED. OCCURS ANY SPEED. ANY HILL. ON INTERSTATE WITH GRADES. NO MATTER WHAT ROADWAY OR SURFACE. DID THIS THE FIRST DAY WE BOUGHT IT. MY WIFE DIDN'T TELL ME IT CONTINUED. I FOUND STILL OCCURRED WHEN I TOOK FOR 3000 MILE SERVICE. SHE SAID SHE JUST AVOIDED CRUISE CONTROL. IT WILL DO THIS ON A GRADE ALSO IF CRUISE IS OFF. LONGER GRADES. AT THE 3000 MILE SERVICE I INFORMED DEALER DUTCH MILLER AND CALLED FCA JEEP I REGISTERED A CASE #.THAT DAY IN JUNE. DEALERSHIP DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH JEEP, OR VISA VERSA. JEEP COULDN'T REACH US FOR PHONES WERE OUT FOR 3 WEEKS DUE TO STORMS. JEEP SUSPENDED. I CALLED JEEP CSM LAST WEEK. THEY WANTED ANOTHER TECH REVIEW. THE JUNE SERVICE REVIEW INCLUDED TAKING A BRAND NEW IDENTICAL JEEP LIMITED 2.0 TURBO AND SIMULATE. IT WAS WORSE THAN OURS. IT ACTUALLY RED LINED RPM ON GRADE OF RT 119 AT OAKWOOD INTERSTATE 64 ACCESS DEALERSHIP AGREED A PROBLEM. NO KNOWN REPAIR. COMPUTER SOFTWARE OR ENGINEERING UPDATE REQUIRED BY JEEP. DEALER DID NOT REPORT TO JEEP CSM ON FIRST SERVICE CALL. DUE TO LENGTH OF TIME, WE NEEDED TO REPEAT. TOOK IN AGAIN 07/18/2019. SERVICE WRITER JUST TYPED PART OBSERVATION OF FIRST VISIT. I CONTACTED JEEP TO BE SURE THEY WERE AWARE. JEEP CASE MGR. CONTACTED BILLY AT DEAR WHO KNEW NOTHING OF ISSUE AND STATED HE THOUGHT IT DID WHAT THE OTHER JEEPS DID. CASE MGR. TOLD ME I COULD TAKE TO ANOTHER DEALER FOR A DIFFERENT CASE MGR. I EMPHASIZED THIS IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION. MICHAEL DIDN'T WANT TO BE CONCERNED WITH ISSUE, IT IS DANGEROUS, AND I WAS REPORTING. SVC. MGR.SAID HE HAD SPOKEN TO MICHAEL,IN THE HOUR I HAVE VIDEO.

BRAND NEW JEEP RAIL HAWK 34 MILES AT TIME OF PURCHASE 410 MILES KNOCK SENSOR AND CHECK ENGINE 1812 MILES ETC AND MAP SENSOR 2325 MILES ETC THE LAST TWO TIMES LOST ALL THROTTLE AND NO POWER GOING UP VAIL PASS IN CO. ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI AND HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE SHOULDER, LIMP MODE.

NEW CAR, 2 WEEKS OLD WITH 800 MILES WILL NOT HOLD SPEED WITH CRUISE CONTROL WHILE GOING DOWN HILL. IN FACT , THE CAR ACTUALLY ACCELERATES WITH ENGINE. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS. DEALERS AND FACTORY SAYS "IT IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF ALL 9 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS". IT IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. IN ANOTHER TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUES, THE CAR MAKES A LOUD CLUNK WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 30-50 MPH ON A FLAT ROAD WHEN LIGHTLY PUTTING FOOT ON ACCELERATOR. IT IS SO LOUD AND HARD YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL IT OVER THE RADIO. AGAIN WE ARE TOLD THIS "IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS"! UNACCEPTABLE! A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT NEEDS TO FILED AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER.
I NOTICED A LAG IN A INCREASE IN SPEED & STALLING IN THE ENGINE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION.
Mileage: 2,000
EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE ENGINE HAS BEEN REPLACED AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE IDLE BEING HIGH SITTING OR MOVING, USUALLY A VERY QUITE VEHICLE IS NOW LOUD, SMELLS LIKE GAS IS LEAKING, AUTO SHUT OFF WORKS SOMETIMES, THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE HANDLE MOST TIMES WON'T UNLOCK, WHEN THERE'S NO ONE IN THE JEEP AND THE BUTTON IS PUSHED ON THE HANDLE IT SAYS TO PUSH BREAK TO START THE VEHICLE WHILE STILL TRYING TO UNLOCK THE DOORS AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, HESITATES TO TAKE OFF AT TIMES WHILE PULLING OUT FROM A STOP SIGN OR TO PASS SOMEONE
DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30-40 MPH WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MPH TO YIELD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR A RED LIGHT THE VEHICLE WILL HAVE A DELAYED RESPONSE TO ANY ACCELERATION INPUT CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION (IE. IF TRYING TO TAKE OFF IN FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO SPACE BUT REALIZE THEY ARE TRAVELING MUCH FASTER THAN ANTICIPATED YOU ARE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY DUE TO CAR NOT RESPONDING TO PEDAL INPUT IMMEDIATELY).

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE AT A STOP, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUSED A FRONT END COLLISION. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

BREAKS FEEL WORN OUT AND WHEN I BREAK YOU CAN HEAR NOISE.ALSO THE DISC LOOK WORN OUT AND VEHICLE IS BEGINNING TO DRIVE POORLY.
Mileage: 5,000
THE CAR WILL STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF ROAD WITH NO WARNING. IT HAPPENS MOST OFTEN WHEN GOING UP A SLIGHT HILL AND MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN. DEALER SAYS IT IS LOW ON OIL PRESSURE(THE CAR IS 5 MONTHS OLD AND THEY SAY IT WAS 2.5 QUARTS LOW ON OIL!!) AND A SAFETY SWITCH SHUTS DOWN THE ENGINE IN THE MIDDLE OF ROAD/TRAFFIC!! I CALL THIS "SAFETY FEATURE" TO PROTECT THE ENGINE A"DANGER SWITCH" THAT ENDANGERS TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE FOR ALL TRAFFIC BECAUSE THESE JEEPS ARE STALLING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I HAVE A 45 SECOND VIDEO THAT SHOWS THE STALL. PLEASE HELP GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED!! *DT*JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MAKING TURNS OR IDLING AT STOP SIGNS, IT LOST POWER AND STALLED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING NOISE EMERGING FROM THE ENGINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO 1-5 CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1560 NW STATE AVE, CHEHALIS, WA 98532, (360) 748-1717) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED VIA CERTIFIED MAIL, BUT THERE WAS NO RESPONSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,131.

BRAND NEW JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE PLUS 4X4 V6 9 SPEED,3,100 MILES. THE CHEROKEE HAS A GRINDING NOISE GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. SOUNDS LIKE GEARS AREN'T MESHING PROPERLY. I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL EVERY TIME I GO OVER A SPEED BUMP TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. RPMS GET SUPER HIGH BEFORE THE JEEP DECIDES TO CHANGE GEARS AND KICK UP. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD WHEN I BRAKE COMING TO A STOP. NOT ALWAYS BUT ENOUGH TO MAKE ME WEARY IN PARKING LOTS. MOSTLY DRIVE IN THE CITY.
Mileage: 3,100
MY CAR SHUT DOWN TWICE WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. THERE WAS PLENTY OF GAS AND NO REASON FOR IT TO SHUT DOWN. ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLASHED AND THEN THERE WAS NO ABILITY TO STEER OR CONTROL THE CAR. I HAD BREAK, SWITCH THE GEARS FROM DRIVE TO PARK AND THEN RESTART THE CAR. LUCKILY TRAFFIC WAS SLOWED OR ELSE MY CHILD AND I WOULD'VE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE OIL WAS LOW AND IT COULD BE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. THAT COULD HAVE LEAD TO THE STALLING. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS INVOLVED.
Mileage: 1,620
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 64 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE RPMS INCREASED TO 5,000 AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 89 MPH. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE DID NOT DECELERATE. ONCE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DEACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000.

WAS AT A 4 WAY STOP SIGN GETTING READY TO PULL OFF WHEN VEHICLE STOP WORKING. TRIED TO RECRANK THE VEHICLE BUT IT TOOK 5 MINUTES TO START AGAIN. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF LATER VEHICLE STARTED HAVING ISSUES AGAIN. VEHICLE STARTED TO STALL AND HAVE A VERY SLOW TAKE OFF. TAKE OFF WAS SO SLOW UNTIL I HAD TO SIT 15 MINUTES BEFORE TAKE OFF.

MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE WAS JUST EXITING THE INTERSTATE AND APPROACHED A LIGHT ON THE OFF RAMP. UPON STOPPING AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE MY JEEP BEGAN BEEPING AND THE "DRIVE (D)" STARTED BLINKING ON THE DASH AND GEAR. DURING THIS TIME MY VEHICLE WOULD ROLL BACKWARDS TO THE OFF RAMP UNLESS THE EMERGENCY BREAK WAS ENGAGED. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PRESS THE GAS, SHIFTING INTO OTHER GEARS DID NOT DO ANYTHING AND THE BREAKS WERE LOCKED OUT. I WAS SITTING IN THE BIKE LANE BLOCKING TRAFFIC AND HOPING TO NOT GET HIT. I WAS ABLE TO ROLL DOWNHILL ABOUT 50FT AND STEER ONTO A SIDE STREET. ONCE THERE I AGAIN TRIED TO SHIFT TO DIFFERENT GEARS AND NOTHING SEEMED TO WORK. AS MENTIONED MY BREAKS WERE LOCKED AND THE GAS PEDAL WAS OUT OF SERVICE. FINALLY, AFTER EXITING THE MAJOR INTERSECTION I TRIED TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT SEEMED TO CLEAR THE ERROR. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP FOR THIS PROBLEM. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS THOUGH. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED SECONDS BEFORE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATHS COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED.
Mileage: 4,000
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND ALL THE SUDDEN MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE AT ALL. THEN IT STARTED DRIVING BACKWARDS AS IT WAS IN DRIVE. I COULDN'T NOT GET IT TO GO INTO PARK AND IT TOOK A MINUTE OR 2 TO GET IT INTO PARK. THE. THE DASH TOLD ME TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND IT WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON AT FIRST. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING AND JUST ALL THE SUDDEN TURNED OFF. I WENT AND CHECKED THE OIL AFTER READING ABOUT THIS WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS AND I HAD NO OIL IN MY CAR.
Mileage: 3,300
MY NEW CAR HAS 2,800 MILES DUE FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT 5 MONTHS/5,000 MILES. THE ENGINE FAILED ONCE FOR NO KNOWN CAUSE AFTER 2 WEEKS IN THE REPAIR SHOP. NOW MY CAR DIED WHILE IN MOTION ON BUSY ROADS AND A HIGHWAY RAMP AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 15-40 MPH WITHOUT WARNING OR LIGHTS. THIS IS SLA SAFETY HAZARD AS THE STEERING GOES AND CAR JUST COMES TO A STOP WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I HAD IT TOWED AFTER IT'S 5TH TIME IN 4 DAYS STOPPING WHILE IN MOTION AND SHUTTING DOWN. JEEP TOLD ME IT'S EMPTY ON OIL BUT YET THE OIL LIGHT INDICATOR DOESN'T COME ON. THEY SAID IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITHOUT A FIX FOR ALL 2014-2019 JEEP CHEROKEES. THEY ARE AWARE BUT ARE NOT FIXING OR ADDRESSING THE OIL CONSUMPTION WITHOUT LIGHT ISSUE THAT PUTS DRIVERS IN MOTION AT RISK OF AN ACCIDENT OR LOSING THEIR LIFE. IF NO WARNING IS COMING ON THAT YOUR OIL IS EMPTY LONG BEFORE A DIE OIL CHANGE AND MY CAR CAN JUST DIE WHILE IN MOTION ALONG WITH OTHERS AS AGAIN THEY STATED IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE IS A ROAD HAZARD FOR ANYONE IN THESE CARS. MY CAR IS 3 MONTHS OLD AND I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING IT ON ANY ROADS FOR FEAR I WILL BE HIT BY ANOTHER DRIVER AS IT'S JUST LOSING POWER AND SHUTTING DOWN IN THE STREET IN MOTION. JEEP CANNOT FIX THIS BUT KNOWS ABOUT IT.
Mileage: 2,800
BRAND NEW CAR WITH 12 MILES ON IT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, WILL NOT GO OVER 27 MPH ON HWY. WHEN TRY TO FILL WITH GAS IT FLUSHES BACK OUT THE TANK. ALREADY SERVICED FOR INTERNAL BRAKE SWITCH FAILURE. AFTER PICKED UP, RAN FINE FOR 48 HOURS THEN ABS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON , A W/EXCLAMATION POINT LIGHT CAME ON AND MESSAGE SAYING..."SERVICE STABILITY CONTROL" NOW JEEP IS BACK IN SHOP. DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN IT AT ALL.
