The camshaft went out, along with the rocker arms, cam phasers, there is a box on the passenger side wheel well that goes out and will not allow the truck to shift or go into park. There is now something wrong with the automatic start/stop as the light continues to be on in the dash. Things started to go out as soon as the warranty expired… The truck has 80kmi. We fix one problem only for more to pop up. We purchased the jeep brand new and everything since it has had one problem after another.

On 10/15/2025, I left work and started my 2022 Jeep Gladiator. The Instrument Control Panel was blank. I researched to see if it was something I could do. I checked the F15 and F41 fuses and all connections to the battery. During my research, I noticed there was a recall for this exact problem. I input my VIN to find out that my Gladiator was not involved. The EXACT same problem as the recall. Why not mine? I'm currently using my GPS to monitor my speed on my phone. I have no other warnings or information to know when I'm driving; being a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE!

Vehicle Caught Fire while parked and off - the business "stellantis" has been unresponsive to all calls/attempts at help/resolution
After returning from errand about a 20 minute drive, the vehicle was parked and turned off. A short time later we saw smoke coming from the hood and realized the vehicle was on fire. The fire was on the passenger side towards the front of the engine compartment. Looks like an electrical fire that started near the power steering pump/wiring.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle independently shifted to neutral(N), with the engine still running. The contact pulled off the roadway and was able to stop and shift into park(P). The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and shifted to drive(D) and continued driving to the residence. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but was a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the CAN-C BUSS had tripped due to loosened connections, causing the transmission to shift to neutral(N). The dealer advised that replacing the CAN-C BUSS connections would loosen again and the failure would reoccur. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

I had been driving for about an hour returning from a camping trip when my wife and I noticed a burning smell in the cab of the vehicle. About 5 seconds later smoke began filling the interior. I pulled over and got my family out of the vehicle, which includes my wife, two kids and a dog. I went to the front of the vehicle and saw flames on the passenger side inner fender as well as the top of the passenger fender. With the help of a friend who was traveling with us, I was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher I always carry. I think its safe to say a vehicle fire put my entire families safety at risk. I have contacted my insurance company and filed a claim, however no inspections have been performed yet. There were no warning lamps indicating there was an issue.
Warning lights come up on the dashboard often (brake failure, airbag failure, steering failure, start/stop needs servicing, transmission needs servicing, pullover safely car will turn off, car not in park but it is and won’t turn off) the car turns itself on and off all day. From the beginning the vehicle had electrical issues, not connecting to my phone or Bluetooth, the screen not working, locking and unlocking only working from the key not using the passive entry and having to start the push button by pushing it with the key or it wouldn’t work, it’s gotten progressively worse and now mid drive it will slam to a stop like it hit a wall, flash all the system failure lights then just all the instrument panel lights, it turns on the windshield wipers, the hazards do not work, the headlights start flashing independently etc. it will not turn off or on. It has been towed to the shop twice for this where they replace the two batteries/fuse array and say they can’t get it to happen again but see the codes on the box. It’s spent a combined 140+ days in the shop at this point where I have to fight days to get a rental. The slamming to a stop mid drive is so harsh not only am I almost rear ended but also it’s torn my shoulder forming a cyst that I’ve had trigger point shots and physical therapy for and might need surgery yet they still refuse to buy it back. I have videos.
My 2022 Jeep Gladiator burned to the ground with 2,500 miles. Jeep sent out their fire investigator and they said it was not a manufacture defect on their part. Allstate sent out their fire investigator and he said it WAS a Jeep manufacturer issue. Both Jeep and Allstate denied to give me copies of the report findings. My Jeep was parked and engine cold when it started smoldering and went up in flames. my VIN is [XXX] . I lost 12 months of payments plus $1800 in Ceramic coating along with another $2,000. in additional add ons. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was driving my Jeep Gladiator on [XXX] Shasta Co, CA, on a snowy mountain highway. I had my husband, two children and two dogs in the vehicle. Without warning the power steering went out. Within 20 seconds a steering wheel light appeared on the dash. Within approximately 20 more seconds, I was able to pull over into a plowed turnout. As soon as we stopped the vehicle we noticed a fire in the engine compartment. We were able to extinguish it within a few minutes with our fire extinguisher. The vehicle has approximately 15000 miles on it and is under warranty. It is currently under inspection to determine if it falls under warranty. Our 2022 Gladiator has 1,758 miles on it and no modifications. It was last driven about two weeks ago. It burned to the ground [XXX] while parked next to our house. The fire started in the engine compartment. There were no warnings of symptoms and our jeep app showed everything was normal when last driven. It was investigated by the VRFA and I am waiting for their report. Insurance has not yet inspected. We reported it to the dealership we bought it from. On the [XXX] website, there is another 2022 Gladiator, also low mileage, that also burned to the ground while parked. That person's insurance stated that they believe it burned due to a manufacturer defect but there are no recalls. I was driving when suddenly I got a message that said “service shifter” I got it 4 times flashing and suddenly I lost steering power, it got hard and couldn’t move the steering wheel and I almost crashed, this has happened many times and when I took it to the dealer ship they said “‘nothing was found” when clearly I have proof of the messages and I have witness”s that have been with me when it’s happened, twice I almost crashed. I’m scared to even drive the truck now.
Not just not repair for faulty fuel pump as they continue to mfg vehicles but has electrical issues going to limp mode without warning causing dangerous issues driving with no power and lack of operational system. Stellantis refuses to honor warranty or repair. Asked me to fix issues myself. A 50k vehicle I can't use and pay $900 per month.
Steering wheel locked up suddenly on the freeway. Once it started working again, and I continue to drive, it did the same thing and entire engine shut off in the middle of intersection, as well as steering wheel locking up. Car has not turned on since.

My 2022 Gladiator with only 2700 miles on it locked up at a stop light. Every light on the dash was blinking, and the wipers came on. I couldn’t move the shifter, or turn the Jeep back on. Hazard lights would not come on initially. Not being able to move the vehicle or turn on hazard lights on a busy 6 lane road was extremely scary. I have never had a vehicle do anything like this before. I had it towed to the dealership. I explained what happened and they had never heard of this before. I have read of it happening on social sites and forums. I feel uncomfortable driving it even if they repair it. I bought this vehicle less than 60 days ago as of this message.
The check engine light came on and said the vehicle will be shutting down and the vehicle died while driving and wouldn't restart! It said to service the power steering, vehicle not in service electronic stability control. It currently still won't restart. It has 300 miles and is one week old.
Vehicle is 2 months old and has 3,704 and 3,839 miles at each incident. When driving about a mile from home, the power steering went out, beeps and every system shutting down one at at time. Wipers turned on and took many tries to both turn the truck on on off. The vehicle was immobile. and could neither be shut off or on without multiple tries After sitting waiting for a tow (dealer was only about 500 feet away) I retried and had enough power to get it to the dealer. They "fixed" it saying the shifter was loose. 2 weeks later, the same problem occurred and got stuck in my neighborhood. The vehicle could have been uncontrollable at higher speeds and shifter eventually locked wheels/gears when in motion, when trying to begin moving from a stopped position. There is a possibility of being stuck on railroad tracks or compromised with steering control on winding terrain or poor weather conditions. I was stuck in the middle of the road on both incidents and at risk for being struck by oncoming vehicles. No warning signs were initiated before the incident or during multiple immediately preceding driving trips. Notification of system problems was only made after the incident and power steering failure happened and as the driver manually brought the vehicle to a stop. The first incident of this was reported to the Jeep dealer, who inspected and reported as a loose shifter component and documented as repaired 2 weeks prior to the 2nd incident. I have video of the dash board waring signs after the vehicle was stopped. Other owners have posted the same issues and same recordings on social media. Vehicles reported on-line involve different Jeep models and years.
