I used the 4 wheel drive and received message that clutch was hot, then received message to service transmission. Vehicle went into limp mode. Drove at speeds of 35 to 40 miles an hour. 50 miles an hour down hill. Had to drive access roads because [XXX] traffic is 75 miles per hour. Several times speed was even slower. Took it to brown dodge in Devine. The reset system and said I could not use 4x4. Referenced star code s2521000001. I took vehicle in 7/13/25. I wonder if they even previously preformed recall 19a clutch on This manual transmission. Purchased Mojave Jan/2023, recalled received 4/23. Recall repaired 6/24. On 15000 miles on it and the first time I use 4x4 the vehicle became useless and barely able to move. I wonder if software upgrade for 19a really fixed the 19a issue or just was a bandage to buy more time. I have purchased several Chrysler products and the manufacturer lack of addressing the issues is concerning. I’m [XXX] this is the first time I had to file a complaint. Not knowing when they will address the problem on a vehicle I purchased to enjoy my retirement is sad INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The vehicle was being driven on a 4 mile stretch of interstate 26 averaging between 65 and 70 MPH. On the steepest section of the grade the vehicle downshifted into 7th gear and began to lose power. It showed a check engine light and other codes which are attached. I was able to safely pull over to the shoulder but the vehicle lacked power and pulling over and maneuvering on a steep grade was precarious. I received an alert from the Jeep mobile app on my phone shortly after instructing me to take my car to schedule an appointment now. I was able to use a scanner application JScan to clear the code and was able to return home without further incident. I investigated the code that was provided by JScan “P00AF” and discovered that numerous owners had experienced the same situation across all lines of vehicles that use the Gen 3 Ecodiesel. I counted 37 separate reports while using Google in 15 minutes of searching. This is a serious safety issue as I was traveling at interstate speeds uphill and went from 65-70 mph down to a slow rate of travel in a matter of seconds and to my knowledge no brake lights illuminated as cars were changing lanes behind me rapidly due to my sudden decrease in speed. It appears likely to be a programming or electrical malfunction with the turbo wastegate actuator and corresponding sensors that is not indicative of an actual turbo or wastegate actuator failure. If the computer algorithm is using barometric pressure for pairing boost set point and actual boost based on residual data that is not updated in real time, when ascending steep grades and gaining hundreds of feet in elevation over a short duration, air pressure values could potentially be skewed resulting in a mismatch in actual versus expected turbo boost output. My vehicle had only been running for 12-14 minutes as I live at the base of a large mountain and left home and began my ascent within 10 minutes. Therefore my oil and engine temperature were not elevated.

The contact examined the vehicle and became aware of some loosened fasteners. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that there were defective parts associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train). The vehicle was not repaired due to parts being on backorder. The contact stated the fuel casket, canister purge valve, and fender liner had previously been replaced. The contact was not provided documentation of any repairs that were performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300.

Was driving and my vehicle came up and said I had an issue with the electrical power steering assist system and was going to shut off. I was waiting at a red light the vehicle put itself in park and shut down. I restarted the vehicle and it would not move out of park or any of the windows or radio controls would function. I upon restarting four more times was able to get it back into drive and return home. The steering functioned fine but the radio, back up camera, aux power port, and windows still do not work. Once I returned home this seems to be a reoccuring problem on the Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler platforms. Seems these vehicle throw either one of two codes which I am not sure which mine is but considering the light is out for check engine I am going to say I have the P0563 error and not the P0562 which from what I am reading leaves the light on in most instances. My vehicle has 1803 miles on it and was purchased the first week of April 2023.
