Vehicle shut down completely while in the left lane of the highway. Thankfully she was able to maneuver it to the shoulder and started it back up and continued on. At 4 AM. Another four days later, the Jeep failed to start in the parking lot of work. Threw every code, including the "red wrench"- service hybrid electric vehicle system, check engine light and other others. We abandoned it in the parking lot and checked the next morning. It started on a whim still with every light on. We were able to get it to the dealership where it has been since January 24. When we went to pick it up today, they told us it was ready to go and it road tested good with no lights on. When we got in it to leave, the red wrench and check engine light went back on. They don't know what the problem is. This was replicated by the dealership and the invoice states: "Vehicle will not move. Pushed into shop".

Since leasing my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe in July 2023, I’ve encountered severe and ongoing safety, quality, and performance issues that remain unresolved despite multiple service visits and direct contact with Chrysler customer care. The vehicle has consistently proven unreliable and unsafe, posing risks to my family and others. Key safety concerns include: Trunk Liftgate Malfunction: The liftgate closes on its own, even with foot control disabled, failing to stop when obstructed, causing injuries to my [XXX] son and me. Proximity Sensor Failures: The sensors randomly lock the brakes with no obstacles and fail to warn of actual hazards. Steering Wheel Adjustment Failure: The steering wheel became stuck in the highest position and couldn’t be readjusted. Gear Shifting Issues: In eSave mode, gears fail to shift above 40 mph, and at times, the vehicle won’t shift out of park without multiple restarts. Defective Environmental Controls: The heater once failed during a 20°F drive, blowing only cold air for nearly two hours. Electronic Malfunctions: Random driver profile resets, faulty tire pressure sensors, unreliable remote start, Bluetooth/auxiliary port failures, and phantom Bluetooth devices. These issues put my family in direct harm and have not been resolved despite dealer inspections. Warning lights, alerts, and system failures occur intermittently, often without prior notice. I have extensive documentation, videos, and service records confirming these ongoing issues. Given the persistent safety hazards and failed repair attempts, I believe this vehicle is fundamentally unsafe and unfit for use. Despite nearly two months without the vehicle due to service visits, the problems persist, leaving me paying for an unsafe, unreliable car. I am seeking a resolution, including lease termination, to ensure my family’s safety. The repeated malfunctions, including injuries to my child, make this an urgent and unacceptable risk that cannot be ignored. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

I HAVE AN ON GOING UNREPAIRED RECALL ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, CHARGING SYSTEM AND POSSIBLY THE BATTERY. WHEN APPLY THE BRAKE TO START MY JEEP THE BRAKES SOMETIMES ARE LOCKED UP AND I HAVE TO PUSH THE START BUTTON A FEW TIMES TO RELEASE THEM. I WAS TOLD THAT WAS NORMAL AT THE DEALERSHIP.

My vehicle has two issues. One is the heating/cooling components. The car requires the heat to be set at above 75 to obtain any heat, most often it blows very cool or even cold air. It has been in the shop several times, for days at a time with no fix. Picked it up yesterday, they had it set at 77, blew cold air on the drive home, approx. 5 miles. The second and most alarming issue is the 95B recall for Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have had no vehicle for 3.5 months following the recall. Although it did not state no driving, I have felt unsafe doing so. I have had to park in my drive, less than 20 feet from my own home and others while it could take fire even while parked. 1/2/24 I had the prescribed 'fix', a computer reset with no battery replacement warranted. My vehicle has had two battery recalls and one other incident wherein it just completely stopped working. I am no longer able to transport my grand children whose carseats sit over the defective battery. I have had to cease running parts for our self owned business. I have had to pay for a vehicle to drive including gas I would not have needed to purchase. The dealership where purchased would not keep the vehicle on its lot during the recall, they would not provide an alternate vehicle therefore I have lost valuable work and family time due to safety of the car. They also did not want to inspect the car during this time. Also winter on the street parking is not allowed in my community so again I was forced to put myself and others at risk parking near homes. I am seeking total reimbursment as I cannot safely drive. I purchased the car because I wanted to save on gas. Instead I cannot any longer us e the car for my intended purposes. I would appreciate hearing back. I have done all the required work, making the required calls to the manufacturer, receiving never a call back or any assistance there. I have followed up with the dealership, no help there either. delivery date 2/4/23, milage is 22,533. Thanks

95B recall for fire hazard and told to park aware from structures and outdoors. I have to park in a parking garage. I have contacted Jeep multiple times about breaking a lease with no avail.

Recall # 95B/NHTSA 24V-720 involves a critical fire risk associated with the vehicle’s battery, rendering the vehicle inoperable. I have been unable to use the vehicle for its intended purpose for over 60+ days due to this unresolved high risk issue. Moreover, I am unable to park the vehicle near my home or garage due to the fire hazard, which poses serious safety concerns.

Open 95B recall. High voltage battery safety issue, can cause fire. Advised not to charge, not to park indoors, and away from structures. There is no root cause, no parts, no firm timeline and I the manufacturer has been unresponsive. Initial contact was 10/31, and I have not yet received any follow-up from them (though I have contacted them proactively 3+ times). This is a leased vehicle with 13K miles and the dealer is not helpful, the manufacturer is not helpful, and quite frankly this level of concern is unnerving, and escalated in terms of anxiety and fear for what 'could or might happen'. To top it off not only do we have one of these vehicles, but two of them, both impacted.

jeep cannot tell us when a test will be available to check the EV battery for us. They have no clue when a remedy will be available for this situation. This is unacceptable. They say drive with gas. This car always has some type of electrical charge even without hooking up to charge it. The system creates a charge to the braking system. It always has a small electrical charge so there is a risk of fire in this situation if we have bad battery cells. They are putting people at risk and need to be investigated. Jeep 4xe owners need to be assisted with tests now and repairs now or we need to have our leases and cars bought back. If these were faulty appliances or store bought products they would be returnable.

Recall Number: 24V-720 Urgent/High Risk for Electric Battery to catch fire while being driven OR parked. Jeep currently has NO remedy for this recall which is designated as an URGENT fire risk when parked. The estimated wait time for a remedy is "months." Jeep has provided no options to the vehicle lessee to ensure operator safety- Jeep/Chrysler is not offering a trade-in option or an alternative vehicle to the vehicle operator at this time. Jeep/Chrysler has not equipped local dealerships with any viable options for owners/lessees to guarantee their safety while a remedy is being researched and formulated. Jeep/Chrysler was contacted and a recall case number was created for my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Lessee was told over the phone that I would receive communication from the Jeep battery recall team in 1-2 business days on October 4, 2024. No communication has been received to date. No warming lamps or messages received until October 4, 2024, with no remedy available.

This is a hybrid motor. All dash error lights come on without warning, and the car becomes immediately disabled and cannot be moved. The transmission is locked.

My vehicle displayed a AWD service indicator - took in replaced a module. Same indicator came on 3 months later and needed a front axle disconnect replaced. I only do normal street driving and my vehicle has under 30k miles. All repairs including recalls done at jeep dealer 5 including recalls

New vehicle within 30 days of purchase date. Vehicle had just turned a corner and went a few more feet driving approximately 5 mph on a flat asphalt RD. The rear end suddenly shook violently, making loud clunking noises and shut off. Vehicle put itself into park. Tried to restart the car and it would only flash all the warning lights. Tow truck took it to Landmark Dodge Jeep in Independence, MO. The shop determined right rear rotor broke in half, and caliper broke off. The rotor breaking cracked inside of wheel. No damage to wheel well, fender, under carriage or body of auto in any way. Turned in the issue to Jeep as defective. They refused to fix it stating turn it into auto insurance. We refused to turn into insurance as it is defective parts. We asked Jeep for a black box report. Jeep refused to run it, so we hired a forensic company to take the black box reading which confirms no possible collision incident. Both black box report specialist and Landmark repair technicians note defective parts are a serious concern on this auto. This could be a larger issue for Jeep. If rotor had broken at a higher speed would have been very serious situation. We are concerned that other 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee owners could be at risk. Jeep has still not responded to our escalation request. They keep advising someone will call us, but it has been over 45 days with no assistance from Jeep in any way. Car is still sitting unrepaired awaiting Jeep Wave escalation to contact us. We do not know if this situation is solely related to the rotor as it could be a larger issue with the vehicle traction control or drive line. We can provide the Semke Forensic Investigative Report findings done by a licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer with NHTSA but ask NHTSA to independently investigate. This is a serious safety concern. Jeep has completely failed to respond or protect us as customers.

While driving in the freeway vehicle shut down completely. Near miss fatal traffic accident to several vehicles. Took vehicle to the car dealer and they said it needs a software update.
