Vehicle will all of a sudden shut off with out warning while driving. It has shut off while in motion going about 25miles per hour . I hurry and put it in park and restart it. It has restarted every time. Sometime the lights on the dash will flash for a moment but has only done that 2 times out of the 10 that it has shut off while driving

I am experiencing so many problems with my jeep. It shift out of gear then start shutting down. Lights appear all across the dash board. At times, I have difficulty in shifting gear.The clutch slip and I get this burning smell. Then engine light comes on. It slow to move after shifting it into the forward gear. Sometimes it doesn't move when I shift it into the forward gear. Then when it does, it start bucking and kicking while driving. It slows down even when you press the gas pedal. Lastly, I have major problem with my a/c. It runs cool for a second and then completely shut off.

The ignition I believe lost connection with the key fob. Multiple times while driving the vehicle will randomly just die. An when trying to start sometimes it does nothing unless you push key in a certain way.

If vehicle sits for more then 8 hours you can drive it - but once the vehicle has been turned off Vehicle will not turn on for more then 5-10 seconds and will just turn off. Sometimes it says invalid key when it’s the primary key and not spares. Acts as if it has kill switch. Problem keeps happening constantly

The Jeep dealer replaced my ignition switch that was part of the 2014 ignition switch recall. My Jeep continues to lose power after successfully turning on. It will turn on for a less than one minute, all the lights on the dash board will turn on, and the engine will have sudden loss of power. It can take up to an hour to get it to turn back on without it losing power again. If driven after it turn on without waiting at least 2 minutes, the car will suddenly lose power while in drive. This has been happening on an almost daily basis since 2019, which resulted in it being parked in the driveway for 6 months for fear it would turn off while driving on the freeway.

Maybe hose radiator to the ac vent under the passenger cabin. My son got a 2nd degree burn on the top of his foot.the problem is not fixed.it was inspected by the local police and fire chief.there was no warning at all..

THE VEHICLE'S GAUGES WILL TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING RANDOMLY. THE SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER, TACHOMETER, FUEL GAUGE WILL ALL ZERO OUT FOR UNSPECIFIED AMOUNTS OF TIME. SOMETIMES 10 SECONDS, OTHER TIMES UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS STARTED BACK UP. THIS OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. SOMETIMES IT CAUSES THE CAR TO COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND COME BACK ON. WHILE SHUT OFF, THE CAR SOUNDS LIKE IT IS STRUGGLING TO CONTINUE ITS FORWARD PROGRESS. THIS HAPPENS EVERY COUPLE THOUSAND MILES (2-3 MONTHS APART). ONCE THE CAR CORRECTS ITSELF, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARS. AFTER STARTING THE CAR 2-3 TIMES, THE MISFIRE CORRECTS ITSELF AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS OFF.

RECENTLY BOUGHT OUR JEEP AND HAVE DIMMING LIGHTS DUE TO LOW IDLE AND ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH STARTING IT. THERE ARE TIMES IT WONT START UNLESS THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED 5 MINS LATER AND THAT'S AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF AFTER DRIVING IT. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE WIRE HARNESS FROM THE BATTERY. THE LOW IDLE IS MAKING THE LIGHTS DIM THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ON THAT IT NEEDS A SYSTEM UPDATE THAT CAN COST ROUGHLY 1000 WHICH I DONT HAVE. MY WIFE ALSO SAID WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING HOME THAT THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED ON HER FOR NO APPARENT REASON. SHE SAID SHE PULLED OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK AND BACK IN GEAR AND THEN IT ACTED FINE.

I TOO HAVE HAD THE ISSUE WITH THE SEAT BELTS NOT LOCKING UNLESS PUSHING DOWN RED RELEASE .BEFORE THAT HAPPENED THOUGH,THE LATCH LOST CONTACT AND BELL CHIMED TILL IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF AS THE SEAT REGISTERS WHEN BODY IS IN SEAT.I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY ACTED STUPID BUT DID GIVE ME MANEUVER TO DEACTIVATE CHIME WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON YOUTUBE ALSO.MY OTHER ISSUE HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST 500 MILES OF BEING NEW.EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON LEFT SIDE FAILED AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE GASKET AND FIXED.THEN 2 YEARS LATER THE OTHER SIDE DID SAME THING AND THEY FIXED.THEN AFTER WARRANTY WAS OVER THE LEFT SIDE WENT AGAIN.THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS CRACKED STUD AND THEY WANTED 1200 TO DRILL IT OUT AND REPLACE.I CALLED CHRYSLER OUT ON THIS AND AFTER BACK AND FORTH THEY FINALLY TOOK CARE OF IT.WELL THAT SAME SIDE HAS NOISE AGAIN HUH

1ST RECALL RECIEVED IN 2014 ABOUT A MOTH AFTER PURCHASE SAID THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAULTY CAUSING LOSS OF POWER. TO DATE HAVE HAD THE IGNITION REPLACED 2X. IT STIL LOOSES POWER WHILE IN MOTION FROM 45MPH TO 70MPH. HAVE HAD MANY REPAIRS DONE CLAIMING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND NOTHING HAS WORKED. DEALERSHIP KEEPS SAYING THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE FAULTY VALVE SEATS FAILED AND DESTROYED MY ENGINE WHICH LEFT ME STRANDED WHILE TRAVELING OUT OF TOWN. ENGINEERS KNOW THE DESIGN WAS FAULTY AS REVISION TO ADDRESS THIS SITUATION WERE MADE IN 2008 TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM FOR THE NEWER MODELS. A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THE EARLIER MODELS TO HAVE THE REVISED SEATS INSTALLED. THIS IS NEGLIGENT AND WILL HURT THE CHRYSLER NAME IF NOT ADDRESSED SOON. I HAD JUST PULLED OF THE HIGHWAY TO REFUEL WITH NO INDICATION OF ANY PROBLEMS. THE JEEP WOULD NOT RESTART AFTER FILLING THE TANK.

NOW THE SAME THINGS ARE HAPPENING BUT EVERY LIGHT ON THE DASH LIGHTS UP, FLASHES/FLUTTER/FLICKERS, HEADLIGHTS SHUT OFF, RADIO SHUTS OFF, HVAC SYSTEM SHUTS OFF, BUT ENGINE WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 20MIN THEN I LOSE ALL POWER WHERE EVER I AM, I'LL BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING 55MPH AND THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF. WHEN WE CALLED THE HOTLINE THEN, AFTER GOING TO A DEALSHIP THREE TIMES, NOONE AT CHRYSLER COULD OR WOULD HELP US SO THIS VEHICLE WAS TRADED AT A DEALERSHIP AT A SUBSTANTIALLY LOWER PRICE . QUITE HONESTLY, WE WANTED TO KEEP IT AND NOT TAKE ON CAR PAYMENTS SO I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD PAY US MONEY. WHILE I THINK VW LYING ABOUT FUEL AND CATALYTIC CONVERTERS IS WRONG, I DON'T THINK THAT WOULD HAVE ENDANGERED MY SON'S LIFE LIKE THIS DID. THREE TIMES HE LOST POWER WHICH WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND AFTER THE WAY THIS WAS HANDLED, THERE WILL BE NO MORE CHRYSLER PRODUCTS FOR US.

WHILE PARKED THE CAR WILL ROTATE BETWEEN NOT CRANKING TO STARTING BUT SHUTTING COMPLETELY OFF. IN ADDITION TO THESE ISSUES WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH THE VEHICLE WILL SOMETIMES STALL AND ENGINE WILL START TO LOSE POWER. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO CUTTER DODGE IN HONOLULU FOR REPAIR ON 8/25. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A IGNITION SWITCH RECALL BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART TO FIX IT AT THIS TIME. IN ADDITION, STATED THAT THE WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE(WCM) HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHILE THE CAR WAS THERE THEY ALSO PERFORMED A 28 POINT INSPECTION AND DIDN'T FIND ANY ADDITIONAL CONCERNS. NINE DAYS LATER THE WCM PART COME IN FROM CANADA AND WAS REPLACED. MY VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME ON 9/2. THE CAR RAN AS INTENDED AT TIMES FOR 9 DAYS AND ON 9/12 THE NO CRANK, NO START ISSUE RETURNED. AS OF THE TIME OF THIS FORMAL COMPLAINT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. IN A CLOSING, THE ISSUES THE CAR WAS EXPERIENCING PRIOR TO TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR OR EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUES THAT I'M EXPERIENCING TODAY. I WILL HAVE THE JEEP TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FIRST THING SUNDAY MORNING.

I PULLED THE E-BREAK AND SWERVED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, LUCKILY WITHOUT ANY CRASH. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BUT HAD A TOW TRUCK TOW IT TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC WHO VERIFIED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE BREAKS, AND NOTIFIED ME OF THE RECALL P41 ON THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH CAN CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF AND POWER STEERING AND BREAKS TO LOCK WHILE DRIVING. THE JEEP DEALERSHIP TOLD ME NOT ONLY ARE THE PARTS NOT AVAILABLE BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE AND THEY CAN'T DIAGNOSE THIS AS THE PROBLEM WITHOUT REPLICATING THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE SO IT IS UNCLEAR TO ME WHY THE ISSUE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLICATED. I HAVE A BABY AND DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR, AS RECOMMENDED BY JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE DEALERSHIP, AND RISK ACCIDENT TO MYSELF OR OTHERS UNTIL THE PART IS IN AND FIXED. I CAN'T BELIEVE JEEP WOULD ASK ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE NOT ONLY KNOWING THERE IS A RISK BUT AN ACTUAL PROBLEM. WE TOOK IT INTO A DEALERSHIP IN NAMPA AND THEY STATED THAT THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BUT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHY THE VEHICLE QUIT. THEY INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM BUT PARTS TO FIX IT WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME PARTS MAY BE AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE WE LIVE IN A REMOTE MOUNTAIN AREA AND IF THE VEHICLE QUITS, I WILL NOT HAVE POWER BRAKES OR POWER STEERING WHEN DRIVING ALONG THE RIVER ON A VERY CURVY, TREACHEROUS ROAD. I CANNOT AFFORD TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE PARKED UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AT AN APPARENTLY UNKNOWN DATE. CHRYSLER DID SUGGEST THAT I HAVE THE IGNITION REPLACED AND THEY MAY OR MAY NOT REIMBURSE ME. THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED JUST WEEKS AFTER I PURCHASED MY GRAND CHEROKEE. I WAS ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY GOING 75 MPH IN THE LEFT LANE.THE HIGHWAY DID NOT HAVE A SHOULDER TO PULL OVER ON. THERE WAS A TRACTOR TRAILER IN FRONT OF ME, BEHIND ME AND TO MY RIGHT. MY CAR SUDDENLY STARTED DECREASING IN SPEED RAPIDLY, MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND IT WAS AS IF MY CAR HAD BEEN TURNED OFF. I HAD NO WHERE TO GO AS IT WAS SANDWICHED IN BETWEEN SEMIS ALL GOING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I TURNED ON MY HAZARDS UNTIL I WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I PUT MY CAR IN PARK, PUT THE KEY INTO THE OFF POSITION AND RESTARTED IT.I DROVE STRAIGHT TO THE TULSA,OK JEEP DEALERSHIP. TO SAY I WAS SHAKEN UP IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THEY RAN TESTS ON IT. CAME BACK TO ME AND TOLD ME THE CAR CHECKED OUT PERFECTLY FINE AND EITHER MY KNEE HIT THE IGNITION OR MY KEYS WERE TOO HEAVY. MY PREGNANT WIFE HAS HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE WITH THE CAR AND WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WITHOUT ANYONE BEING ABLE TO FIX IT. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 15-60 MPH THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN. NO POWER STEERING, BRAKES, OR ELECTRICAL. YOU HAVE TO THROW IT IN NEUTRAL AND START IT BACK UP. THIS HAS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AS OTHER QUIRKY THINGS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING AS WELL SUCH AS THE HEADLIGHTS WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF AND THE VOLUME AND STATIONS SELECTORS ON THE STEERWHEEL OFTEN DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT JEEP NEEDS TO IDENTIFY AND FIX. VERY SCARY TO BE GOING 50-60 MPH AND LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR CAR GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. OVER THE PAST TWO DAYS THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. MY 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LARDEO HAS ALL THE SAME ISSUES AS LISTED BY EVERY OTHER JEEP OWNER. THE ENGINE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE DASH BOARD AND HEADLIGHTS FLICKER ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY. SOMETIMES WE START SOMETIMES WE DONT. LIKE OTHERS VEHICLE HAS STALLED WHILE AT LOW SPEEDS. AT RANDOM TIMES, TOOK TO MY MECHANIC AND HE NEVER COULD DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. UNTIL, I TOOK IT THERE FOR AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND TO CHECK OUT THE STEERING. WHILE HE WAS TEST DRIVING THE CAR, IT STALLED ON HIM AND STILL COULD NEVER FIND THE PROBLEM, MY LIGHTS FLICKER ON THE INSIDE, DASH OVER HEAD LIGHT ALL INSIDE LIGHTS, AT NIGHT WHEN I HAVE MY LIGHTS ON, TILL I TURN THEM VERY LOW AND STILL FLICKERS BUT CAN'T NOTICE IT AS MUCH, INSIDE LIGHTS DON'T TURN ON AT ALL WHEN I TRY TO SWITCH THEM ON AS WELL. THE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS STAYED AND BEEN ON FOR A WHILE, MY MECHANIC RAN A TEST ON THAT AS AIR BAG IS FINE BUT LIGHT STAYS ON. I KNOW THERE WHERE RECALLS SO I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID MY CAR DOES NOT QUALIFY UNDER ANY OF THE RECALLS. NOW MY ABS AND ESP/BAS, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ARE ON. AT FIRST THEY CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING WHEN WENT TO SLOW DOWN MY BREAKS RATTLED, THE LIGHTS CAME ON THEN WENT OFF. NOW THEY HAVE BEEN ON AND WON'T TURN OFF. AND MY CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AS WELL SAME TIME. THERE SEEMS TO BE NOTHING THAT COMES UP WHILE RUNNING TEST AND STUFF. MY CAR HAS 115756 MILES ON IT AND THESE PROBLEMS KEEP HAPPENING. PURCHASED THE 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED (4.7L) NEW FROM DEALERSHIP. IT STALLS UNEXPECTEDLY. USUALLY AT LOW SPEEDS. MOST OF THE TIME WHILE TURNING. IT DOES IT PROBABLY ONCE EVERY TWO OR THREE MONTHS, WHICH MAKES IT NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO DUPLICATE AT THE DEALERSHIP. IN ADDITION, NO CODES ARE EVER TRIPPED, LEAVING NO PROOF OF AN EXISTING PROBLEM. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS OVER THE YEARS WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIPS MAINTAINED THAT IF THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, LEAVING IT UNRESOLVED. I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 8/2012 FOR MY DAUGHTER TO GET TO COLLEGE. IT IS A 900 MILE TRIP AND WOULD BE USED FOR LOCAL CAMPUS DRIVING UNTIL HER RETURN IN 4/2013. WE BOUGHT THE CAR WITH THE HOPE OF GETTING 3 YEARS USE OUT OF IT. ON HER INITIAL TRIP DOWN ROUTE 95 SO. I RECEIVED A CALL AT 1 AM FROM HER IN SC TELLING ME THE CAR SHUT DOWN AT 70 MPH. THE WHEEL LOCKED UP AND SHE LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR AND FORTUNATELY WITH THE HELP OF HER PASSENGER FORCED THE WHEEL TO MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER. THANK GOD A TRACTOR TRAILED WAS NOT BEHIND HER! I TOLD HER TO WAIT AND TRY TO START THE CAR. IT STARTED A HALF HOUR LATER. THIS EPISODE CONTINUED UNTIL SHE ARRIVED AT SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. A 15 HOUR TRIP TOOK 21 HOURS. SHE WAS FRIGHTENED TO DEATH. WE CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER AND THEY TOLD US IT WAS THE VALVE BODY OF THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WE REPLACED ($2100). AS IT TURNS OUT ON THE RETURN TRIP THE CAR TRANSMISSION WAS OVER HEATING AND THE SHUTTING DOWN SCENARIO CONTINUED. WE BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER HERE IN NJ AND THEY TOLD US THERE WAS PROBLEM IN THE ENGINE AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT APART IN ORDER TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. I STOPPED RIGHT THERE. I FOUND OUT THROUGH MY LOCAL MECHANIC OF 20 YEARS THAT HE READ THE BULLETIN ON THE ENGINE PROBLEMS FROM CHRYSLER. IT SAID THE VALVES WERE NOT SHUTTING DOWN ALL THE WAY THUS CREATING CARBON IN THE HEADS AND STALLING THE ENGINES. I NEED ACTION FROM CHRYSLER AND IT SEEMS THE DEALERSHIPS DON'T CARE ABOUT SAFETY. PULLING AWAY FROM STOP SIGN MY VEHICLE LOST POWER (STALLED OUT). THE LIGHTS FOR PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, AND DRIVE ALL CAME ON AT ONE TIME. LOST POWER FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS THEN CAR STARTING MOVING AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES NOT JUST THE ONE DATE LISTED HERE. THIS WAS THE ONLY TIME I WAS ACTUALLY PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR WRECK. SOMETIMES IT DOES IT WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO TURN CAR OFF. WHEN I START IT BACK AGAIN IT RUNS FINE FOR A WHILE.
