The Air Bag warning light came on after we got an oil change for our car.
The air bag light comes on every now and then. It happened in my previous jeep and is happening in my dad's Chrysler Sebring car as well. I seen this problem with the airbag automatic deactivation when the warning light comes on in different vehicles but all from Chrysler motors.
TIPM OR FRONT CONTROL MODULE SHUTTING OFF CAR WHILE DRIVING, TURNING OFF AIRBAGS AND NOT LETTING ABS SYSTEM FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE ENGINE HAS SHUT DOWN SEVERAL TIMES WHILE I'VE BEEN DRIVING SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE RECENTLY

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS; HOWEVER, THE REPLACEMENT PART WAS NO LONGER BEING PRODUCED TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

WHILE BACKING UP VERY SLOWLY OUT OF THE GARAGE, THE TRANSMISSION JUMPED FROM REVERSE INTO FORWARD. THE GAS PEDAL FLOORED ITSELF AND THE CAR ACCELERATED AT FULL SPEED INTO THE WALL OF MY GARAGE, CLIMBED OVER THE CEMENT FOUNDATION, AND THEN THE CAR SLAMMED INTO THE SIDE OF MY HOUSE. MY FOOT WAS OFF OF THE PEDALS AS I WAS THROWN AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF EVEN THOUGH THE WINDSHIELD WAS SHATTERED. THE ONLY REASON THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED WAS BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN SEVERELY DAMAGED AS IT DROVE ITSELF OVER THE CEMENT FOUNDATION OF THE GARAGE. THE CAR WAS DECLARED TOTALED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY. *TR

THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE, SAW WHITE SMOKE INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN MINUTES NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONTAL AIR BAG HAD DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD BE INVESTIGATED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WERE 7,000.
