Greetings, after 3 dealership attempts to correct the TIPM - NHTSA 19V813000 recall, my Jeep still stalled 4 times at highway speeds. I narrowly averted being rearended several times. I am terrified to drive the vehicle! I have yet another dealership appointment Friday, January 12, 2024 to correct the issue. Previous visits could not reproduce the problem or show any code errors. There were no warnings at all during these malfunctions, only the loss of braking and power steering did I realize the vehicle had stalled. Are there any remedies afforded to me at this point from Chrysler? The vehicle has only 124,000 miles. I've been extremely lucky that I haven't crashed or injured another party to date, but I fear it could happen at any time since this is my only transportation to and from work.
My vehicles Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) was rewired at a dealership as part of a manufacturer recall. Ever since this has been "rewired" I have had problems with the car shutting off while driving, and as a result, a loss of power steering and power brakes. I notified the dealership, Rentschler Chrysler of Slatington, PA, and they state that everything looks ok with the wiring and that a new TIPM was not part of the recall. This issue has been occurring with my Jeep (2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo) since 2013, two years after I purchased the car brand new. I want to know why Chrysler was not ordered to replace the TIPM with a new part? This has been happening to my car frequently and I have known other people with Jeep, Ram, and Durango problems with stalling while driving.
SUV stalls when coming to a stop while making a right turn or while stopping at a light. Power steering and brakes quit working. There are no diagnostic codes thrown for the dealer to check into. This occurs at least three to four times a week. I only commute 4 miles a day. Fortunately everytime this occurs I have been able to come to a stop and no other cars have been near. But if a car was on the street I am turning onto I would have hit their car. The dealer has replaced a few things that could possibly be wrong but the issue does not give diagnostic code to investigate. This is a known issue with Chrysler for this year model and several other years but my Jeep Grand cherokee has no recalls for it.
Wife was driving car off the highway, around a rightward curving offramp, and she noticed that the steering was handling differently, as if the power steering was off, and the brakes were not responding normally either. She could not stop the car where she intended to and was lucky that there was not cross traffic in the immediate intersection. No lights on the dash were lit up. She turned the car off and on again, and the steering and braking was normal again. We brought it to a trusted independent mechanic and described the issue, and they could not reproduce the issue but looked it up and found multiple reports of this occurring with 2010s Grand Cherokees. They were very concerned about the safety of the car and recommended bringing it to a dealer. One local dealer wanted $1000 to begin diagnosing. The other dealer charged $250 to look around but could not find anything that would explain loss of steering and brakes. We do not feel safe driving the car, as we live in a busy urban setting and any loss of control of the car would likely mean injuring or killing one of our neighbors.
The vehicle randomly stalls without warning while driving, causing the power steering and brakes to fail. It occurs randomly every 7-14 days, usually when it's first driven for the day and usually within the first 5-10 miles when slowing down to make a turn. Occasionally it will occur at a stop sign and a few times it has occurred in traffic. It can be restarted by putting it in Neutral or Park. It has been doing this ever since I purchased the vehicle in 2017 with 68,000 miles on it. It now has 195,000 miles and the stalling has become more frequent. I hoped the recall for the fuel relay would fix it, but it has not. I have read that it is a TIPM problem. There are several hundred similar complaints on the NHTSA website. The problem is discussed in Jeep forums on the web. This is a serious safety issue because of potential rear-end collisions. Why won't Jeep or NHTSA address it?
When you turn a corner the engine shuts off. All the electronics still work (like radio, and lights) but you have no power stearing it is manual. You have to coast to the side of the road and put the truck in park and restart it. This has been recalled and fixed a few times and it is still happening and Jeep will not do anything to fix the problem. They want to duplicate the issue but you can not. This happens whenever it wants to - there is no rhyme or reason why it happens and you cannot duplicate it. I've taken notes every time it happens, (gas gage at where, weather, time of day, where I was going, how long I drove the truck) nothing matters, it just happens when it happens. So far now it is happening at least 1 time a month since December 2021. And I have called Jeep every time and reported the incident. I have a case number but they will not fix it or send out a new recall.
While trying to make a turn the power steering and brakes did not work. The vehicle did not stall. After stopping I shut the vehicle off and restarted it and it was working, This happened 3 times in about 2 weeks. I have the vehicle in to the dealer trying to find the problem.

As I am about to turn right my vehicle completely shuts off and I lose power steering, etc. Brakes work enough to stop thankfully, but vehicle is completely off almost causing a crash. I am able to start my 2011 Jeep GC right back up and go on with the engine light on. The light then shut off as I am driving. After reading multiple cases of this same issue it is apparent something needs done and a resolution needs issued. This is an extreme safety issue and needs addressed now before injury or death occurs. I love Jeep but I do not think I will be able to get another (after having 3+) if this does not get addressed. Get this fixed and addressed now.

ON MORE THAN 1 DOZEN OCCASIONS MY JEEP HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING ANYWHERE FM 20 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR. I LOST STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKES WHILE THE REST OF GAGES STAYED ON. AFTER THE FIRST FEW TIMES I FIGURED OUT I COULD THROW IN NEUTRAL , HIT THE IGNITION BUTTON AND IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. CHRYSLER JEEP TOLD ME THIS WAS A "RELAY " RECALL FOR OVER 1 1/2 YEARS THAT THEY HAD NO REPAIR FOR. SO THEY JUST KEPT REPLACING TRHE PART. I WOULD GET ANYWHERE FM 2 WKS TO FEW MONTHS WITH THE "NEW, BAD PART" THE REALL REPAIR CAME IN LAST WEEK. AFTER REPLACING IT, I MADE IT 2 DAYS BEFORE I STALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME ON AN EXIT RAMP DOING 30 MILES AN HOUR AROUND A SHARP TURN .I (AND MY 13 YEAR OLD SON) WENT OFF THE ROAD INTO A DITCH. I HAD TO USE 4 WHEEL DRIVE TO GET OUT. I CASUED MINOR F=DAMAGE ASWELL. THIS TIME! I KEEP TELLING THEM IT;S ONLY MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I DIE OR KILL SOMEONE WHEN THIS STALL HAPPENS. I HAVE HAD A RENTAL OR BEEN WITH OUT A CAR FOR AT LEAST 5 WEEKS OF THIS LAST YEAR ALONE FOR THIS RECALL FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH ON A TRADITIONAL TWO LANE COUNTRY ROAD. AS I APPROACHED A LEFT HANDED TURN, I PRESSED THE BREAK PEDAL AND INSTANTANEOUSLY LOST POWER STEERING AND POWER BREAKS. THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND DROVE OFF THE ROAD INTO A SMALL GRASS FIELD. AFTER COMING TO A STOP, I LOOKED AT THE DASH AND REALIZED THE TACHOMETER SHOWED 0 RPM INDICATING THE ENGINE HAD STALLED. AT FIRST, I WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE SHIFTER WAS STILL IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED WITH NO HESITATION ONCE THE SHIFTER WAS MOVED TO PARK. THE P54 RECALL HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN COMPLETED. FCA HAS BEEN INFORMED AND THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A JEEP DEALER. THE RECALL FOR V62 IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT AND THE VEHICLE HAS SINCE RECEIVED THE TEMPORARY INTERIM REPAIR. I HAVE DECIDED TO PARK THE VEHICLE UNTIL FCA CAN REASSURE THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE.

TWICE ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WHEN GOING ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR ON A TOWN ROAD AND BREAKING AND TURNING TO THE RIGHT (ONE TIME WAS MORE RIGHT THAN THE OTHER), MY CAR LOSES POWER OUT OF NO WHERE. MY ENGINE SHUTS OFF, I LOSE POWER STEERING, AND I LOSE MY BREAK ASSIST. IT IS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS AND COULD CAUSE A LIFE THREATENING ACCIDENT. I CROSSED OVER INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE OF TRAFFIC WITH LITTLE TO NO CONTROL. FORTUNATELY BOTH TIMES NO ONE WAS NEAR ME AND I WAS ABLE TO COME TO A STOP. I CAN THEN RESTART THE CAR AND DRIVE AWAY. 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING, ENGINE CONTROL AND BRAKING ALL BECOME DIFFICULT TO USE. HAPPENING WHILE TURNING CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO VEER INTO THE GUARD RAILS, IF THEY ARE PRESENT, OR ONCOMING TRAFFIC, IF TURNING AWAY FROM TRAFFIC IS TOO DIFFICULT. LUCKILY, IN THE MULTIPLE TIMES THIS HAPPENED, I WAS TURNING RIGHT, EITHER ONTO THE HIGHWAY ONRAMP OR INTO A GAS STATION. THE TIMES INTO THE GAS STATION, SENT ME OVER THE CURB AND GRASS, BARELY MISSING THE PUMPS. THE VEHICLE SHOWS NO SIGNS OF AN ERROR ON THE DASH. ALL RADIO, LIGHTS AND GAUGES WORK FINE. ONCE YOU ARE ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE, IT MUST BE PUT INTO PARK AND THE PUSH BUTTON START RE-IGNITED. IT TERRIFIED MY FAMILY.

THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED WITH P54 (FUEL PUMP RELAY). FORTUNATELY I WAS NOT TOWING MY BOAT. THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO HAVE SPANNED MANY YEARS AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

WHILE DRIVING AND DECELERATION THE JEEP SHUTS OFF. NO LIGHTS COME ON INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER RUNNING. THE FIRST CLUE IS LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WITHIN THE FIRST COUPLE MILES OF DRIVING. THE JEEP STARTS RIGHT BACK UP AND THEN 99% OF THE TIME WON'T STALL AGAIN FOR A COUPLE DAYS. THIS IS GETTING MORE FREQUENT.

IT HAS LIKEWISE STALLED AT STOP LIGHTS/SIGNALS WHICH IS EQUALLY DANGEROUS WHEN VEHICLES ARE APPROACHING FROM BEHIND AT HIGH SPEEDS EXPECTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT TO MOVE WITH THE GREEN LIGHT. CHRYSLER ISSUED A RECALL (P54) RELATED TO THESE ISSUES, HOWEVER THE CHEAP EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY WIRING HARNESS FIX THEY EMPLOYED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEMS CAN BE CHARACTERIZED AS INSUFFICIENT AT BEST. IN FACT, THE ISSUES WITH OUR FAMILY VEHICLE HAVE ACTUALLY WORSENED SINCE THE P54 RECALL WAS PERFORMED IN MAY OF 2015. THE VEHICLE'S PROBLEMS HAVE NOW PROGRESSED TO THE POINT WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START: A TYPICAL SYMPTOM OF THESE DANGEROUS JEEP/CHRYSLER PRODUCTS. THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF CONSUMER COMPLAINTS OUTLINING SIMILAR ISSUES I.E., THE VEHICLES BEING DIFFICULT TO START OR NOT STARTING AT ALL, VEHICLES' POWER WINDOWS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY, DOOR LOCKS OPENING AND LOCKING ON THEIR OWN, HORN BLARING, THE VEHICLE NOT RECOGNIZING THE FOB, ELECTRONIC FUEL PUMPS REMAINING ON AFTER THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF AND STALLING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. A COMMON THEME RELATED TO ALL OF THESE ISSUES SEEMS TO BE THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER FOR THE VEHICLES OR THE TIPM (TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). IT SEEMS FIAT - CHRYSLER HAS BEEN AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR OEM MANUFACTURED TIPM PARTS FOR SOME TIME, SINCE 2007, BUT TOOK THE WOEFULLY INADEQUATE ROUTE OF CORRECTING ONLY A SMALL AND LESS DANGEROUS ISSUE OF THE MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. HENCE THEIR COURT ORDERED P54 EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP WIRING HARNESS, WHICH ON A GOOD DAY WILL CORRECT THE FUEL PUMP RUN-ON. I CONTACTED JEEP WITH THIS EMAIL AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT IN TO THE DEALER FOR 'DIAGNOSTICS.' I DID AND THEY FOUND NO PROBLEM AGAIN! MY JEEP IS AGAIN LOSING SPEED AND POWER STEERING. IT IS RANDOM. I AM DRIVING ALONG AND IT LOSES ACCELERATION AND POWER STEERING. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY EXPECT IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE AT MINIMAL SPEEDS. THIS IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE I AM A TRAVELLING SALESPERSON AND MUST BE ON THE ROAD ALL DAY, FIVE DAYS A WEEK. I TRAVEL UP TO 200 MILES A DAY. AS I INDICATED BACK IN DECEMBER, THIS IS MY FIFTH JEEP. QUIRK SAYS ALL THE RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE HAVE BEEN DONE AND THEIR DIAGNOSTICS CAN FIND NO REASON FOR THE LOSS OF POWER. HOWEVER, IT IS HAPPENING AND IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ORIGINALLY, WHEN THIS FIRST STARTED HAPPENING, SHORTLY AFTER I BOUGHT THIS PRE-OWNED JEEP, I WAS TOLD THE TIPM RECALL WOULD CORRECT THESE PROBLEMS. MY 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE BEGAN STALLING WHILE DRIVING IN DECEMBER 2014. THESE OCCURRENCES HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTED BY THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES. IT HAS ALWAYS STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS HIGHER THAN 50 MPH. IT HAS STALLED ON THE FREEWAY 2 TIMES AND I HAVE BEEN SPARED A SERIOUS TRAFFIC COLLISION DUE TO LIGHT TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE NEVER THROWS A CODE WHEN IT STALLS. THERE IS NOTHING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN DO FOR THESE "PHANTOM" OCCURRENCES. THE TIPM HAS BEEN REPLACED SINCE THAT CAN SOMETIMES BE THE ISSUE. HOWEVER, THE STALLING CONTINUES. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS STALLING ISSUE AND THERE ARE OTHERS WITH THE SIMILAR PROBLEM. WHAT WILL IT TAKE BEFORE CHRYSLER ADDRESSES THIS LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM? GOOD EVENING. I HAD PURCHASED A 2011 CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE ON 7/4/2014. I HAD START TO EXPERIENCE CLUNKING SOUND AND CLICKING AS I WOULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL A FEW DAYS AFTER MY PURCHASE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER THAT SCHEDULED ME AN APPOINTMENT TO REPLACE A BRAKE BOOSTER RECALL ON 7/18/2014 AND WOULD ADDRESS OTHER ISSUES THAT I MAY HAVE. DURING MY APPOINTMENT IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP, IT WAS MENTIONED TO ME THAT THE REASON FOR THE ISSUES IN MY STEERING WHEEL WAS THERE RESULT OF MY FRONT STRUTS BEING WORN DOWN AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE STRUTS WHERE ON BACK ORDER AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED ONCE THEY COME IN. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEIR REPLACEMENT ON 8/1/2014 AT 9:45AM. AFTER 7/18/2014 MADE ME QUESTION IF MY CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED JEEP HAD UNDERWENT THE 125-POINT INSPECTION THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED TO MAKE IT A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED. I HAD THEN WENT ON THE JEEP WEBSITE TO FIND OUT WANT THE 125-POINT INSPECTION ENTAILED. UNDER #90 OF THE 125-POINT INSPECTION, SPEAKS OF SHOCKS AND STRUTS. MY QUESTION NOW WAS IF MY CERTIFIED JEEP UNDER WENT THE 125-POINT INSPECTION, THEN THE STRUTS SHOULD HAD BEEN ADDRESSED PRIOR TO SALE. I AM NOW BEGINNING TO EXPERIENCE ADDITIONAL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. I MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO NOTIFY THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT IF THE 125-POINT INSPECTION HAD BEEN COMPLETED. I WOULD NOT GET ANY COOPERATION, JUST PASSIVENESS. I HAD THAN CALLED THE JEEP CHRYSLER INFORMATION CENTER FOR SOME TYPE OF RESOLVE IN FINDING OUT IF THE 125-POINT INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED, TO NO SUCCESS. I AM VERY MUCH CONCERN OF MY SAFETY,AND I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED PRIOR TO IT BEING SOLD TO ME. MY WIFE HAS HAD 3 SEPARATE ENCOUNTERS WHERE HER 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND HAS RANDOMLY POWERED DOWN, LOSING CAPABILITY TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE (NO BRAKES/STEERING) WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE FIRST OCCASION HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER OF 2013, VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION AND LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO PARK AND RE-STARTED WITH NO FURTHER ISSUE. WE DIDN'T REPORT THIS INCIDENT. THE SECOND EVENT HAPPENED ON APRIL 3, 2014, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AT APPROX. 40 MPH. AGAIN, WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP SHE PUT IT INTO PARK AND RE-STARTED THE VEHICLE. WE CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ON APRIL 7 AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR APRIL 12. THE THIRD EVENT OCCURRED THIS MORNING, APRIL 10, 2014. THE VEHICLE SPEED IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE BUT MY WIFE WAS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ON A 50MPH ROAD. THERE WERE OTHER VEHICLES IN THE AREA THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS ACCIDENT, MAINLY A SCHOOL BUS WITH CHILDREN ON BOARD. AGAIN, THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PUT INTO PARK AND RESTARTED. DIFFICULT TO DO ON THIS BUSY ROAD. I CONTACTED THE SAME DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED. THE DEALERSHIP MOVED UP MY APRIL 12 APPOINTMENT TO TODAY. SO FAR, THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN ACCOMMODATING. THEY PLAN TO RUN DIAGNOSTICS CHECKS TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF POWER FAILURE. ALSO, THERE ARE OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES PLAGUING THIS VEHICLE (POWER DOOR LOCKS NOT WORKING, DRIVERS SIDE SEAT HEATER NOT WORKING, KEY NOT BEING DETECTED). THIS VEHICLE HAS APPROX. 129,000 KMS ON THE ODOMETER AND WE BOUGHT IT PRIVATELY ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO (APPROX. 105,000 KMS). THERE ARE THREE KEY PARTS THAT MUST WORK AFTER A CAR STARTS, STEERING, BRAKING AND ACCELERATING. THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND POWER STEERING PUMP IN MY 11 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE NEED TO BE REPLACED. I'M CURRENTLY TAKING ALL PRECAUTIONS WHEN DRIVING, HOWEVER THIS IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH. I FEEL THAT AN ACCIDENT IS INEVITABLE. IT HAS NOW BEEN TWO WEEKS WAITING FOR TWO PARTS. FACING THE WORST WEATHER CONDITIONS IN YEARS I WOULD LIKE TO FEEL SAFE DRIVING TO WORK AND WITH MY FAMILY. ON THE WEEKEND OF 6/9/12, MY VEHICLE BEGAN GIVING STARTING PROBLEMS AND SHUTTING DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED SO I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY 6/11/12. I MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS ON THAT DAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT BUT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT KEPT GIVING ME A RUN AROUND. THE VEHICLE SPENT THE NIGHT AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS CHECKED THE FOLLOWING DAY. I RECEIVED A CALL THAT MY VEHICLE IS READY AND WAS INFORMED THAT A FLASH WAS DONE AND A NEW COMPUTER HAD TO BE ORDERED THAT'S WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF ONCE AGAIN WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART IT WAS GIVING THE HARD START ONCE AGAIN. ON 6/16/12 THE VEHICLE WAS FULLY UN-OPERATIONAL AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT SAT THERE UNTIL THE PART ARRIVED AND WAS INSTALLED. ON 6/21/12 I PICKED IT UP ONCE AGAIN IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE WORKING GREAT BECAUSE THE COMPUTER WAS REPLACED. LESS THAN AN HOUR LATER IT DID NOT WANT TO START AGAIN. I CARRIED IT BACK DOWN ON 6/22/12 AND ON THE WAY THERE THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN. LATER THAT DAY FOUND OUT ANOTHER PART HAD TO BE ORDERED. 6/29/12 MY VEHICLE WAS READY AGAIN AND SAID TO BE WORKING GREAT AND IT WAS BECAUSE THE HARD START PROBLEM WAS FIXED BUT THE SHUTTING DOWN WAS NOT FIXED BECAUSE IT OCCURRED ONCE AGAIN ON 7/1/13 AND HAS BEEN HAPPENING CONSTANTLY FOR OVER A YEAR. *TR

I WAS ENTERING A PARKING GARAGE IN NYC. I WAS DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED TO BE MINDFUL OF OTHER PEDESTRIANS/VEHICLES IN GARAGE. MY CAR MADE A SUDDEN LOUD POPPING SOUND. I FELT THE CAR JOLT TO THE RIGHT AND HIT THE WALL TO THE RIGHT OF ME. ALL OF THE SUDDEN I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. PARKING ATTENDANTS AND OTHER PEOPLE IN THE GARAGE COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED AND I COULDN'T EITHER. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO MANHATTAN JEEP WHERE SERVICE REP SCOTT CARUSO IMMEDIATELY IDENTIFIED THAT THE CONTROL ARM SNAPPED OFF THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL CAUSING THE WHEEL TO TURN COMPLETELY RIGHT. HE ENTERED THE ISSUE AS A WARRANTY CLAIM. MY OWN RESEARCH HAS TURNED UP OTHER STEERING ISSUES WITH THE JEEP WRANGLER THAT SOUND SIMILAR. I WAS FORTUNATE THAT THIS HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE AT SUCH A LOW SPEED AND IN A PARKING GARAGE. I AM SURE IF IT HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THERE WOULD BE MULTIPLE FATALITIES. TO THIS DAY CHRYSLER HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO HONOR THE WARRANTY CLAIM AND MY CAR IS SITTING IN MANHATTAN JEEP UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. D'AMBROSIO DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN DOWNINGTOWN, PA (WHERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE) HAS ALSO IDENTIFIED THE ISSUE AS A MECHANICAL WARRANTY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. CHRYSLER HAS NOT HONORED THE WARRANTY AND THE ISSUE REMAINS UNRESOLVED.
