The Carfax confirms that Landers McLarty Huntsville: Took possession of the vehicle on September 12, 2024, with 112,179 miles on it. Then recorded a sale to you on [XXX], showing 96,792 miles — a 15,387-mile rollback. That “Mileage Inconsistency” warning on Carfax is not just a clerical error. It shows the vehicle’s official odometer history was manipulated or misreported — and Landers McLarty is directly involved. My finance guy was Travis Christensen. In 2 attempts to resolve the issue, the first time I went in person, (6/10) he said “I will call back Wednesday when Deonte Sutton gets here”. Fine, I waited all day Wednesday, and there was no callback. In attempt to call them, I received no answer. I called today, (6/23), in attempt for updates on the situation. It felt as if he blew me off, saying “Yea me and Deonte have been trying to figure it out. I will call you later.” I called back 2 hours later, and no answer, it didn’t fully ring so I was sent to voice mail as if he declined the call. While driving at normal speeds the engine and everything turns off without any warning. This makes it difficult to get off the road or highway due to loss of power to steering. This happens randomly but with increasing frequency. The vehicle has been at the Jeep dealership since 12 June 2025 and I'm being told they cannot figure it out. While stopped at a stop light 5 separate occasions in Eco mode. Vehicle shut off but would not restart unless I pressed the on/off button. I did not realize that it had happened and was almost rear ended because of it.

The entire vehicle turns off while driving down the road at 50mph. I am uncertain what part failed and have reproduced the issue on many occasions. This issue is a danger to not only my life but of those around me the vehicle shuts off unable to steer and unable to brake while still traveling at high speeds. This loss of control will result in the loss of limb or life if it hasn't already. Given the issue has existed for over 12 years now this needs to be investigated as the cause is completely unknown. When the issue accures it is without indication or warning it happens abruptly and seemingly without cause.

Vehicle was purchased 8/11/23 had it less then two weeks broke down . Was smoking , was put in shop several times . Told it was battery, then alternator. Gotten out of shop a few days later same issue . Had extended warranty , was stuck paying deductible twice even though it was in the shop for same thing . Deductible $200 twice I had to pay . Come to find out the engine had gone bad , they replaced that if I’m not mistaken . Vehicle was in shop almost a month after we had gotten no results from the original dealership service center where we purchased the vehicle. They did not have the proper tools to repair the vehicle, ended up taking the vehicle to a dodge dealership locally . After driving the car a couple months later it started smoking and jerking again would stop and would not crank . Was taken to the dealership again , told this time it was the transmission and extended warranty would not cover it . We were sold a LEMON. Dealership knew exactly what was wrong with this they wanted to get it off their hands . This is something they know from from the start , unsafe to drive keeps smoking . We need answers fast someone is liable for the damage car they sold my son and I.

Dashboard pad cover is wrinkling and detaching from the dashboard top. The area most effected is on the passenger side. The covering has detached about 2 inches away from the windshield and has detached from the air vent cover. The detachment has caused the air vent cover to rise. The air vent cover is no longer flush with the top of the dashboard. While driving, the distortion in the dashboard pad covering and air vent cover distracts from my peripheral view and when I'm checking the right side or viewing the right view mirror. The service dealer at Koons Tysons Corner, VA was notified in May 2020. I was told there had been a recall to repair the dashboard pad, but parts were on order and there was a backlog for repairs. On December 28, 2021, the service center stated the Dashboard Pad Replacement was expected June 2022. Now, each time I call reference the replacement, I'm told the vehicle is on a waiting list or I get a service person who has no knowledge of the recall or issue.

I recently hit 100k and my jeep has been stalling. The first time it happened I was goi g about 45mph then stopped in traffic. I went to accelerate and nothing. It didn’t sputter and no lights came on saying anything was wrong. Input it in park, pushed the button and it started back up. A few weeks later, I pushed the button to start it and nothing happened. It did not even turn over. Again, I was able to push the button and start it. The most recent time, a month or so after, I came off the freeway and was slowing down. Again nothing to alarm me of it dying, just died and my power steering went out. I pulled over, put it in park and restarted it without issues.

I've tried 6 times in 3 years to get my recall done since I learnt of my fuel relay . Now according to my mechanic my catalytic converter is messed up due to waiting on the recall. The first 3 times was back ordered, the 4th time I went to my appointment and was told there computers were messed up just needed to see the car to still be on recall list. 5 and 6th time they never got part in. This recall is messing up my car. My check engine light will not go off due to the converter due to the fuel relay. If my check engine light is on I can't remote start it in cold weather . When will I be able to actually get my recall done before it messes up more of my car.

My 2012 jeep SRT8 will be driving n jerking and feels unsafe think gotta be a n23 transfer case or final drive ordeal they have with different year not my year but should be and I don't feel safe at all n I paid a lot of money for this premium vehicle and getting run around and serv 4wd and traction control off n fcw off pops up after few minutes all at same time got transfer case control module coming in mail hopefully it works but if not it's gotta b update or flash transmission update but it'll literally be surging and when slowing down it'll fell like it's getting shift in wrong gear it's crazy

The entire leather dash has become the delaminated they had issued a recall on us for a six-month period in early 2020 they kept pushing back saying they didn’t have the parts and six months lapsed I am just worried if I were to get into an accident that the airbags on the passenger side would not operate properly due to the fact that all the leather has sagged and become unglued how can a manufacturer only make a safety recall good for six months the mechanic told me it’s because they only have a certain amount of budget on labor and parts to do safety recalls and that the shops don’t want their time taken up because it is such a time extensive process there were thousands of vehicle’s affected and a lot of them were unable to be fixed because of part shortage and the six-month timeframe they gave everyone How do I get this fixed without paying $3000

Vehicle has inexplicably, and randomly stalled, and lost power steering and power brakes while operating. This has happened on multiple occasions, during random times of the day/season, while in movement, and while stopped at a traffic light/stop sign. There is no rhyme or reason to how or when this happens, and frustratingly cannot not be reproduced by a mechanic or dealership. When it happens, all other systems that were operating continue to operate (eg. radio stays playing, climate control (AC or heat), and the instrument panel doesn't indicate that anything is abnormal. Safety is a huge concern, as its difficult to control and/or slow the vehicle down, and we have barely avoided collisions. It has been taken to a dealer on multiple occasions, but to no avail, as the condition could not be reproduced. Other than the dealership's service department, the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were NO warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. We took ownership from the vehicles first and only other owner (my father in law) upon his passing back in April 2018. The condition happened within months of taking ownership, and has happened at least 8-10 times since then. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. We would like to sell the vehicle (for this, AND other reasons), but do not feel comfortable selling an unsafe vehicle to anyone. We have incurred rental car costs while the car is in the shop for diagnosis. Upon a quick search online, there was quite a bit of evidence of this condition happening with others.

The recall is V62 but after the recall was preformed the vehicle is doing the exact same thing. While slowing down and braking the vehicle will stall without warning, with the vehicle not running the steering and braking systems are disabled which makes getting out of danger impossible. The vehicle needs to come to a complete stop, be put in park, then be restarted. This will be the third time this happened. I had the recall done then I had to pay the second time to get it fixed and now I need to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for the same issue. Chrysler will take no responsibility for the issue.

When purchased vehicle was told to take it to local dealer. Vehicle was taken to local dealer on May 2021. To this day, they claim that they are still waiting for parts. I am 80 years old and disabled and stressing big time because I keep receiving information on mail stating that my vehicle is not safe. I have called your number and all I was told that they are waiting for parts. Please help. Thank you.

Since purchasing this vehicle, the entire wood trim inside the vehicle has broken off chunk by chunk and continues to do it. It started with the front around the start button and has worked around to the passenger dash and now is falling off on the doors. Sometimes I will get in my vehicle and see a piece of wood on the floor board. Dealership states that only the carbon fiber trim on the SRT is covered but not the wood for my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. First started when my leather dash started to bubble and wrinkle up. Also, the plastic vents on the dash broke during the leather dash bubbling up and once that was fixed by recall, dealership stated that plastic vent is not covered even though it is caused by the leather wrinkling and bubbling up.

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) the vehicle stalled intermittently. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled intermittently while decelerating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on four separate occasions and the fuel pump relay was replaced twice however, the failure recurred. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. There was no fault code detected. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and several cases were opened. The contact was informed that since the dealer was not able to plicate the failure, no assistance would be provided. The approximate failure mileage was 142,000.

I have repeatedly tried to get the recalls fixed for my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but all of the local dealers tell me Chrysler is only releasing one part per month per dealership and to just "wait!" I do not feel safe driving my vehicle. My vehicle is getting older, and other things keep needing to be repaired on the vehicle. It is just a matter of time before something bad happens to me. If they know there is a problem, how are they getting away with only releasing "one part per week" to each dealership across the country? This is gross negligence on Chrysler's part and a waiting game for something catastrophic to happen to people like me. Can you please offer a solution? I'm not as concerned about the visor. Should I be concerned about about the other recall besides the fuel pump? When I call the dealer, they say when the V62 part "for me" comes in, they will do all the recalls together, but I'm on a list "with a 100 people before me!" That is so unsettling...it could be more than a year!

THERE WERE TWO RECALL IN LATE 2019 FROM FCA FOR MY JEEP. ONE HAS BEEN FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WHICH JEEP HAS THE PART BUT I'VE BEEN UNABLE TO SCHEDULE FOR REPAIR BECAUSE THE JEEP DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CANNOT GET THE PART AND BLAMES JEEP (FCA). FCA BLAMES THE DEALERSHIP. THE SECOND RECALL WAS FOR THE DASH PAD PEELING UP, WHICH REQUIRES A NEW DASH PAD. AGAIN I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SCHEDULE THIS FOR 1 1/2 YEARS AND AGAIN THE DEALERSHIP BLAMES FCA AND FCA SAYS THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T ORDERING CORRECTLY AND FCA HAS RECENTLY TOLD ME THAT "SOMEONE" AT JEEP HAS BEEN CANCELLING THE ORDERS SUBMITTED WITHOUT EXPLANATION. THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS A SAFETY RECALL GOING ON FOR THE PAST 1+ YEARS. THE REPLACEMENT DASH PAD HAS PREVENTED ME FROM TRADING IN OR SELLING MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THE PROBLEM HAS NEGATIVELY IMPACTED THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE.

I DROVE HOME THE 35 MI. AND, ALTHOUGH IMPROVED STILL FELT THE SAME. MY BOYFRIEND RESEARCHED OTHER BULLETINS AND RECALLS. THEN JACKED THE CAR UP AND SAW A LEAK RELATING TO 14M01TSB. I CALLED BUT WAS TOLD SINCE I HAVE 127798 MI AND IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 10 HRS, THIS NO LONGER APPLIES. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR CODED RELATED TO THESE ISSUES AND I FEEL THAT THESE 2 ISSUES ARE RELATED TO EACH OTHER AND 1401TSB SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO ACCOMMODATE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE THIS ISSUE BUT WEREN'T AWARE AS DIAGNOSTICS DO NOT SHOW THERE IS A PROBLEM AND THE LEAK IS NOT SEVERE ENOUGH TO NOTICE DRIVEWAY SPOTS. THE ONLY CODE OF MY CAR IS AN OXYGEN SENSOR CODE THAT SHOWED UP AFTER THE DEALER REPAIR TODAY. I HAVE SEEN MANY PEOPLE WHO HAS THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE THEREFORE IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT JEEP MANUFACTURERS ARE FULLY AWARE OF. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ISSUED AN "X-81" EXTENDED WARRANTY (WHICH THEY FAILED TO COMMUNICATE TO CONSUMERS) AND IS NOW REFUSING TO TAKE STEPS TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM CAUSES A DISTRACTION WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE AND IF IT CONTINUES TO WORSEN IT MAY IMPEDE VISIBILITY.

IN AUGUST 2017 I PURCHASED THE 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE FROM MOSSY MOTORS. A RECALL 17V-435 WAS ISSUED AND AN UNKNOWN DEALERSHIP INSPECTED, NOT REPRISED, THE ALTERNATOR AND MARKED 'COMPLETE' TO THE RECALL. IN MAY 2019, THE ALTERNATOR, WHICH WAS IN RECALL 17V-436 QUIT WORKING WHILE DRIVING AND SURGED THE PCM ON MY CAR. CAUSING ALL STEERING, LIGHTS, ETC TO QUIT WORKING AND THANKFUL DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WAS STRANDED OK THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO BE TOWED. UPON REPLACING THE ALTERNATOR (WE PAID FOR BECAUSE WE THOUGHT ALL RECALLS WERE COMPLETE AS STATED - UNTIL FURTHER INVESTIGATION), IT WAS FOUND THE PCM ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO SURGING FROM THE ALTERNATOR THAT WAS INSPECTED, INSTEAD OF REPLACED. FCA IS REIMBURSING FOR THE ALTERNATOR BUT SAID THEY WILL NOT FOR THE PCM, ALTHOUGH I WAS TOLD FROM AN FCA CUSTOMER CARE SPECIALIST, FCA WAS AWARE THAT IF THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT REPLACED IT WOULD INDEED CAUSE THE PCM TO FAIL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO DISPUTE THE NON-REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE PCM REPLACEMENT, BUT NO ONE AT FCA COULD GET A CASE MANAGER TO CALL ME BACK AND JUST INSTRUCTED ME TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP WHO COMPLETED THE 'INSPECTION' IS UNKNOWN TO MYSELF, AND STATED UNKNOWN FROM THE CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE AT FCA.

IN 2019 MY ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON WITH CODE P0520 - OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. I REPLACED THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON A MONTH LATER WITH THE SAME CODE P0520, SO I REPLACED THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR FOR A SECOND TIME. LESS THAN A MONTH LATER I BEGAN GETTING A GENERIC CODE P06DD. I HAVE SENSE REPLACED THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR A 3RD TIME ALONG WITH THE OIL FILTER HOUSING AND OIL PUMP. IT WAS FINE FOR ABOUT A WEEK BUT THEN CODE P0520 - OIL PRESSURE SENSOR RETURNED. THERE ISSUE IS NOT MECHANICAL AND NO ONE HAS BEEN MECHANICAL AS ALL OF THE PARTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CODE HAVE BEEN REPLACED REPEATEDLY. NOBODY IS ABLE TO RESOLVE IT AND I CANNOT PASS INSPECTION UNTIL THEY DO.

I PURCHASE MY 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH 5.7 LITER ENGINE IN JANUARY 2017. FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS IT WAS FINE BUT THEN IT STARTED STALLING. IT STALLED AT LEAST 15 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. IT USUALLY STALLS WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR TRAFFIC OR A RED LIGHT BUT CAN ALSO STALL AFTER HAVING BEEN STOP FOR RED LIGHT, OR UPON ACCELERATION FROM A RED LIGHT~ ON RARE OCCASION IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING 40 TO 50 MILES PER HOUR. THERE IS NO INDICATION THE CAR HAS STALLED UNTIL YOU TRY TO ACCELERATE, STEER, OR BRAKE, AS THE AIR CONDITIONER AND RADIO REMAIN UNAFFECTED. I'VE TAKEN THE JEEP TO MY DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS A FUEL PUMP SO THEY PUT A NEW FUEL PUMP IN. A FEW WEEKS AFTER INSTALLING A FUEL PUMP IT STALLED AGAIN SO I BROUGHT IT BACK AND THEY REINFORCE THE CONNECTION. A FEW WEEKS LATER IT STALLED AGAIN SO THEY HAD ME BRING THE CAR IN AND THEY ATTACHED A BLACK BOX TO IT THAT FUNCTIONS MUCH LIKE AN AIRPLANE'S BLACK BOX WHICH RECORDES DATA. I DROVE IT AROUND WITHOUT INCIDENT FOR ABOUT 5 WEEKS AND WE THOUGHT WE HAD THE PROBLEM SOLVED. OF COURSE 2 WEEKS LATER IT STALLED AGAIN SO I BROUGHT IT BACK. THEY REINSTALL THE BLACK BOX AND HAD THEIR WORK IS USED THE JEEP AS THEIR DAILY COMMUTE TRYING TO TRIP A CODE. IT TOOK A WHILE BUT ABOUT A MONTH LATER THEY FINALLY GOT A CODE FOR A WIRING ISSUE. FORTUNATELY, SINCE IT WASN'T COVERED IN MY EXTENDED WARRANTY, AND AT GREAT EXPENSE TO THEM, THEY REPLACED THE MAIN WIRING HARNESS. IT WORKED FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS AND THEN STALLED AGAIN. THEY SAID THEY'VE DONE EVERYTHING THEY KNOW TO DO AND OFFERED TO GIVE ME A HIGH TRADE-IN VALUE FOR THE JEEP TO GET ME OUT OF THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE.

THE 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND I PURCHASED TWO YEARS AGO HAS STARTED TO COMPLETELY STALL WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE POWER STEERING TO NOT FUNCTION AS WELL AS THE BRAKES. THIS ENGINE POWER TURNS OFF RANDOMLY AT AROUND 10-15 MPH (WHEN MAKING TURNS, STOPPING AND/OR ACCELERATING) BUT THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS THAT APPEAR ON THE DASH. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS (EASTER) 28 APRIL 2019. THE CAR SHUT OFF AROUND 10 MILES PER HOUR AS I MADE A LEFT TURN CROSSING THE INCOMING LANE INTO A PARKING LOT. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO CAR COMING OR A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE RESULTED. THE FREQUENCY OF THESE TYPES OF STALLS HAVE BECOME GREATER. THEY ARE HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK WITHOUT ANY TYPE OF WARNING. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT WAS NOVEMBER 7TH 2019. THIS VEHICLE WAS RELEASED FROM THE DEALERSHIP ON NOVEMBER 1ST, 2019. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES TO FIND THE PROBLEM AS WELL AS MAINTENANCE. NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS. HAD SOME REPLACED, THIS WOULD BE THE THIRD TIME. I HAVE A 3.7 ENGINE V6 GRAND CHEROKEE AND FOUND THAT DODGE HAS A RECALL FOR THE CHARGER, WHICH IS THE SAME COMPANY.

THE AUTOMATIC CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON 2 HOURS INTO DRIVING NORTH ON THE HIGHWAY TO WISCONSIN FROM CHICAGO. THERE WAS NO HUMAN ACTION THAT CORRELATED WITH THE LIGHT COMING ON. IT SIMPLY CAME ON WHEN GOING CONSISTENT SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY IN NO TRAFFIC. I LEARNED FROM THE DRIVER'S MANUAL THAT THIS MOST LIKELY MEANT THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAD FAILED AND I NEEDED TO GET ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY. I TOOK THE CAR INTO A REPAIR SHOP ON A THURSDAY WHERE IT WOULD REMAIN FOR 10 DAYS AS THINGS BEGAN TO UNFOLD. THE EMPLOYEES OF THE REPAIR SHOP COULD IDENTIFY NO FAULT IN THE ALTERNATOR AFTER THOROUGH INSPECTION AND DRIVING TESTS. THE WARNING LIGHT HAD TURNED OFF. HOWEVER, AFTER IT HAD BEEN CLEARED OF ALL INSPECTION AND TURNED ON, THERE WAS AN ENORMOUS FAILURE IN THE CAR CAUSING IT TO SMOKE. WITHOUT WARNING, THE ALTERNATOR CAUSED SUCH A MASSIVE SHORT THAT IT NOT ONLY FAILED ITSELF, BUT ALSO BROKE THE CAR'S ENGINE COMPUTER. I COME TO FIND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL BY CHRYSLER (T36) FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE AND INCLUDED 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE'S. I WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OF THIS RECALL BUT THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT THIS FAILURE IS SPECIFIC TO THE MANUFACTURING ERRORS BY CHRYSLER JEEP. THERE HAVE BEEN A TOTAL OF 10 RECALLS ON THE 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, 3 OF WHICH HAVE BEEN SPECIFIC TO THIS VEHICLE, AND CLEARLY, NOW A 4TH. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A BEEN AN INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND THE FAILURE BY CHRYSLER TO NOTIFY ME OR INCLUDE MY VEHICLE IN THEIR RECALL IS PREPOSTEROUS. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS NOT MADE ONE REPAIR TO THE VEHICLE EACH TIME I BRING IT IN BECAUSE IT DOES NOT SHOW A CODE & THEY CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM, SO THEY GIVE ME NONSENSE REASON FOR IT HAPPENING, THE LATEST BEING SHORT A QUART OF OIL. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY TOPPED OFF THE OIL & GUESS WHAT, THE JEEP STALLED THE NEXT DAY WHILE EXITING THE FREEWAY. I HAVE EXPRESSED TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH 2 SERVICE TECHNICIANS (NICK & JIM) AND THE SERVICE MANAGER (KEN) AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT AN AUTO MAKER WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE RELEASING THIS VEHICLE TO A CUSTOMER LET ALONE HAVING IT ON THE ROAD IN GENERAL. GOT A LETTER BY MAIL IN REGARDS TO A RECALL FOR MY GRAND CHEROKEE 2012 FOR A ALTERNATOR DIODE THERMAL FATIGUE AND SUN VISOR WIRING. ON 9-14-17 TOOK JEEP IN TO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALLS TO BE FIXED. GOT JEEP BACK ON 9-15-17 BUT DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT BATTERY WAS NO GOOD. DEALERSHIP OFFER ME A $300 BATTERY WHICH I DECLINE BECAUSE I KNOW BATTERY IS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE AT OTHER PLACES. TOOK NEW BATTERY TO DEALERSHIP AND REPLACE IT BEFORE I LEFT THE SHOP. AT THIS TIME THE SERVICE ADVISOR FROM DEALERSHIP DID NOT GAVE ME ANY EXPLANATION OTHER THAN THEY DON'T HAVE THE RECALL ALTERNATOR BUT THEY PUT A TEMPORARY ONE AND GAVE ME PAPER TO SIGN. AS I WAS DRIVING HOME THE BATTERY LIGHT TURN ON. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS NORMAL SINCE I HAD JUST REPLACE THE BATTERY. SATURDAY MORNING WHEN I GOT OUT FROM WORK, I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE JEEP STOP COMPLETELY ON THE ROAD. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD TURN ON AND WARM AIR CAME TOO. I HAD TO CALL A FAMILY MEMBER TO COME AND HELP ME MOVE CAR FROM THE ROAD. I CALLED DEALERSHIP TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND I HAD TO TOW THE JEEP BACK TO DEALERSHIP. ON 9-18-17 DEALERSHIP CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT NOW THE PROBLEM IS THE PCM MODULE AND THAT IS GOING TO COST ME ABOUT$900 TO FIX IT. I FEEL THAT THE REASON WHY MY BATTERY AND PCM MODULE ARE NOT WORKING IS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE ALTERNATOR. I FEEL THAT THE MANUFACTURES ARE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THE JEEP. RIGHT NOW I HAVE NO VEHICLE TO MOVE AND NOT KNOWING WHEN THE RECALLS ARE COMING IN BECAUSE THERE'S POOR COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS. THEY TRIED TO START MY CAR TO DRIVE IT A FEW DOORS DOWN TO THEIR SHOP, CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND WOULD NOT TAKE A BATTERY CHARGE AFTER TRYING OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR A FEW HOURS. FINALLY HAD A TOW TRUCK PICK IT UP TO MOVE A FEW DOORS DOWN TO PEP BOYS. THEY REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY AND NOW THE LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON AGAIN, THE DAY AFTER PICKING IT BACK UP. FURTHER TESTS ARE NOT BEING DONE, BUT REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY AT A COST OF $938.

FOR THE LAST 30,000 MILES THE CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING; MOSTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THE CAR IS NOW DOING IT MORE OFTEN AND I AM CONCERNED THAT I CAN GET IN A CAR ACCIDENT. THIS WEEK STOPPED ON MONDAY AUGUST 15TH AND THURSDAY, AUGUST 18TH BOTH TIMES DURING A RIGHT TURN; THE FIRST IN THE AFTERNOON TURNING ON CITY STREET AND TODAY TURNING FROM THE HIGHWAY, FROM A SPEED OF 55MPH TO 25MPH. THE CAR HAS 58,000 MILES AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT. EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN FOR A TURN, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CAR MAY STOP. THE DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR FOR OVER A WEEK TWICE AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

DEALERSHIP RICK HENDRICK OF CHARLESTON AND HOOVER OF SUMMERVILLE ONLY CONCERNED WITH PROPER DEPLOYMENT OF PASSENGER AIRBAG. LEATHER DASH COMING LOOSE WITH SIGNIFICANT WRINKLES AND DISTORTION. WILL AFFECT PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT PER DESIGN INTENT DUE TO DEVIATION IN TEAR SEAM GEOMETRY. RESEARCH STATES THE DASH PROBLEM IS A RESULT OF A SUPPLIER NOT PERFORMING THE CORRECT APPLICATION OF ADHESIVE AND CURE PROCEDURES.

UCONNECT IS NO LONGER WORKING, LOOKED ONLINE AND IN JEEP FORUM MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS AND JEEP AND IPHONE ARE WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, I CALLED THE JEEP UCONNECT TELEPHONE NUMBER AND IF THEY CANNOT DO A SOFT RESET YOU MUST GO TO THE DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM, IF YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY YOU MUST PAY, HAS BEEN GOING FOR A LONG TIME AND TIES BACK TO IPHONE ISSUES WITH IPHONE UPDATES. WHEN ASKED WHY I NEED TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT NEEDS TO BE RESET DUE TO A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS IS JUST THE WAY IT IS.

A YEAR AGO I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP ABOUT MY CAR NOT STARTING JUST WEEKS AFTER COMPLETING A MAJOR (NORMAL) SERVICE. AFTER COMPLAINING TO THE DEALERSHIP AND JEEP DIRECTLY, I HAD MY JEEP TOWED AND THEY AGREED TO FIX THE FUEL PUMP (A RECALL THAT HAD RECENTLY COME OUT, BUT NOT YET ON MY SPECIFIC JEEP). THE FIX SEEMED TO WORK FOR A FEW MONTHS, BUT THEN BEGAN HAPPENING AGAIN, ONLY NOW I CAN SOMETIMES START THE JEEP AFTER WAITING AWHILE. LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AGO WHEN MY JEEP WOULDN'T START AGAIN, I CALLED SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN, ALONG WITH AN OIL CHANGE. WHEN I PICKED UP MY JEEP, I LEARNED THAT THE FIX WAS NOT DONE. THE MECHANIC NOTED THAT IT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. I COMPLAINED TO THE CASHIERS THAT THE JEEP NOT STARTING WAS THE MAIN REASON I BROUGHT THE JEEP IN. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE, BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND MY SERVICE ADVISER. I ASKED THEM TO HAVE HIM CALL ME. HE NEVER CALLED. I LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AND I'VE SENT EMAILS TO THE SUPERVISOR, AND NO RETURN CALLS. NOW I HAVE A NEW PROBLEM IN ADDITION TO THE JEEP NOT ALWAYS STARTING, I HAVE A SIGNIFICANT WATER SLOSHING NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE. NOTE: EACH TIME THAT MY CAR HAS FAILED TO START, IT WAS FIRST IN THE OFF POSITION AND PARKED. THE NUMBER OF TIMES MY JEEP HAS FAILED TO START, OR DIED AFTER START HAD BEEN MORE THAN 10 TIMES.

THIS VEHICLE HAD THE RECOMMENDED RECALL REPAIR FOR THE SUN VISOR COMPLETED ON 5/19/2105. WHILE DRIVING THE AREA ABOVE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR BEGAN TO EMIT SMOKE AND WITHIN ABOUT 30 SECONDS FLAMES ERUPTED FROM THE SAME AREA. THE FLAMES QUICKLY SPREAD TOWARDS THE PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISOR AS I FRANTICALLY LOOKED FOR A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OVER. IT WAS 5:45AM ON A DARK COUNTRY ROAD WITH NO SHOULDER. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, EXITED THE VEHICLE AND CALLED 911. THE FLAMES CONTINUED FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER 15 MINUTES. WHEN FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED THEY HAD DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE BURNING THOUGH IT WAS SMALL BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT ACCESS THE BATTERY FOR THE VEHICLE (IT IS APPARENTLY LOCATED UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND UNACCESSIBLE OTHER THAN FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE.) FIREFIGHTERS HAD TO COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO THE SUN VISORS TO STOP THE BURNING. THEY IDENTIFIED A SCREW AND WIRE THAT WERE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. IT WAS NOT UNTIL I RETURNED HOME AND RESEARCHED THE RECALL THAT I DISCOVERED THAT THE SCREW AND WIRE ASSEMBLY IS THE CAUSE OF THE FIRES. THIS RECALL REPAIR OBVIOUSLY IS NOT A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. HAD THE FLAMES SPREAD TO THE DRIVER SIDE AREA I WOULD HAVE BEEN INJURED OR POSSIBLE KILLED. HAD I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE THEY COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED OR KILLED ALSO!!

THE ISSUE WITH MY CAR WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS ITS SISTER PRODUCT, 2012-2013 JEEP WRANGLER, WHICH WAS RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM - REFERENCE THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NO. 13V234000. THE SAME DESIGN FLAW EXISTS IN THE 2012-2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES AND THESE MODELS ALSO NEED TO BE RECALLED. PROBLEM: THE POWER STEERING RETURN LINE CONTACTS AND WEARS A HOLE IN THE ALUMINUM TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINE. THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT OR OBVIOUS LOW FLUID LEVELS, SO AN OWNER MAY NOT HAVE ANY WAY TO KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENS. RISK: SUCH A CONDITION CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID WITHOUT THE OWNER'S KNOWLEDGE, WHICH MAY CAUSE TRANSMISSION DAMAGE AND LOSS OF FUNCTION. IN MY CASE, THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT OR OBVIOUS LOW FLUID LEVELS. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT UNTIL A REGULARLY SCHEDULED CHECK UP. I AM UNSURE OF WHETHER THERE IS ANY UNDETECTED DAMAGE, BUT I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS ONLY MILES AWAY FROM BURNING MY TRANSMISSION OUT AND IT SHUTTING DOWN. THE REPAIR COST WAS $849.27 AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. HOWEVER, IF IT HAD SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH I DO OFTEN AS A SINGLE MOM WITH TWO DAUGHTERS, THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE LOST FUNCTION WHILE DRIVING. WHY ISN'T THIS RECALLED ALREADY? IT'S NOT SAFE AND IT'S THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AS IT'S SISTER PRODUCT THAT WAS ALREADY RECALLED!

FILED COMPLAINT AGAINST BRANDYWINE CHRYSLER PLYMOUTH FOR RUDENESS AND BEING VERY DISMISSIVE AND BIASED BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN. THEY STATED NORMAL SOUND BUT SOUND IS NEW AND NOT ALWAYS CONSISTENT AND ONLY JUST STARTED RECENTLY WAS NOT THERE AT TIME I BOUGHT THE CAR. IT'S A 2012 WITH ONLY 16,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH STARTING MY 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE V8 OVERLAND. THE JEEP WILL START BUT WILL STALL RIGHT AWAY. SOMETIMES IF YOU PUT THE JEEP IN GEAR QUICKLY IT WILL STALL IN GEAR ALSO. MOST OF THE TIME IT STALLS RIGHT AFTER STARTING. I HAVE TO SHUT THE JEEP OFF AND PRESS THE START BUTTON AGAIN TO GET IT STARTED. I HAVE HAD THIS JEEP AT THE DEALERSHIP (COLORADO CHRYSLER JEEP) MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS AND THE "RESOLUTION" FOR THE DEALERSHIP IS THAT THEY CAN NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. ON 4/10/15 THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT STALLED ON THEM AND THEY REPLACED A SWITCH IG 08053059. RECEIVED THE JEEP BACK AND IT STALLED THE NEXT DAY. CALLED COLORADO CHRYSLER JEEP BACK AND THEY SAID THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD HAVE TO GET AN ELECTRICIAN IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND THAT WOULD TAKE A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I CALLED CHRYSLER AT THIS POINT AND CHRYSLER HAD ME TAKE THE JEEP INTO CHERRY CREEK DODGE BECAUSE THEY COULD "GET ME IN QUICKER". ON 5/22/15 I TOOK THE JEEP TO CHERRY CREEK DODGE AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT PERFORMED PROCEDURE S1308000399 5/2015 OUTLINED IN CHRYSLER'S STAR SYSTEM. THE NEXT DAY THE JEEP STALLED. I HAVE CALLED BACK MULTIPLE TIMES TO BOTH CHRYSLER AND CHERRY CREEK DODGE WITH EITHER NO ANSWER OR NO SOLUTION. CHERRY CREEK DODGE IS NOW PUTTING ME OF WITH A NEW RECALL SAYING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THINKS THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM, AND CHRYSLER WANTS TO GO WITH WHAT CHERRY CREEK DODGE SAYS. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR TWO YEARS. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. EVER DAY THE JEEP STALLS AT SOME POINT. ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. WE FIRST NOTICED THIS PROBLEM AT ABOUT 25,000 MILES. WE TOOK THE JEEP TO COLORADO CHRYSLER AT 35,451 MILES AND THE JEEP HAS ABOUT 54,000 MILES NOW. AT FIRST THE STALLING WAS JUST EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, NOW IT HAPPENS DAILY.
