Was driving on highway going 60 miles following traffic my car suddenly stalled took me a little bit to pull over, switched off the car, the car made a funny sound. Waited 5 mins and the car started again. My car is constantly stalling, doesn’t give me any warning signals and the Jeep dealership I go to cannot figure out what it is. It takes about min before my car can restart and i keep moving

I will be going 50-65 mph down the highway and my jeep will just die. It will die for about 10-15 seconds then start again. This is very dangerous. I have talked to multiple people that this has happened too.

- The core component that failed is the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). The failure was initiated by a fault in the external fuel pump relay (V62 Safety Recall remedy part), which caused improper power delivery. This improper power delivery subsequently damaged the fuel pump motor, requiring replacement of both components. This failure has cascaded, also disabling the circuits for the Engine Cooling Fan (Codes P0480/P0693) and Exterior Lighting (Headlights/B1630), and the Horn. I am in possession of the burnt-out fuel pump relay/fuse component. -The engine stalled while the vehicle was operating, the exact hazard the V62 recall was meant to prevent. This was followed by a catastrophic TIPM breakdown, creating new, simultaneous safety risks: Overheating/Fire Risk: The Cooling Fan circuit failed (P0480/P0693), causing severe engine overheating. No Headlights: The Headlights failed (B1630), causing total loss of visibility at night. No Horn: The Horn failed, eliminating the ability to warn other drivers. - Yes. The initial engine stall and subsequent no-start condition (due to a blown relay fuse) were confirmed by an independent service center (Monro). The cascading failures (overheating, horn, lights) and the diagnostic codes (P0480, P0693, B1630, C2201-00) were confirmed on 11/1. - The vehicle was inspected by an independent service center (Monro), who returned the failed recall component to me (relay). Recommend it go to a certified jeep dealership. It is waiting to be towed there. -The first warning was a history of intermittent starting difficulty. On 10/23, the engine stalled while operating and immediately resulted in a no-start condition. The Check Engine Light illuminated after the subsequent failed restart attempts.

There are several recalls on jeeps catalytic converter. I keep having on going issues with my grand jeep cherokee 2013. This vehicle should also have a recall like the others. This isn't cheap to fix. Can someone please help me with this on going issue with the catalytic converter. Engine light keeps coming on with the same code PO430.

Vehicle has stalled over twenty times, whether driving on the highway over 60 mph or driving locally within 20 MPH. Initially stalled December 25, 2022 while driving home on Christmas Day with my entire family, driving full speed on the highway. I felt the stall and pulled over as quickly as I could. Attempted to restart several times and engine would crank but not start until after 5-7 attempts and several minutes. Since then I continue to experience the same stalling and attempts to restart vehicle. Took to service center multiple times and they are unable to determine the issue. Fuel pump relay was changed twice by the dealership. I had to pay $1500 one time as they said the cost was not covered, which is ridiculous since the problem reoccurred many times after that. Most recently, fast forward to almost 1.5 years later and the issue is still occurring. Now it stalled and appears to be rolling back when in drive until I shift the gear to park and move the gear several times. It has been losing traction and power. I really need someone to determine a resolution to the issue as this is a severe safety issue and I am very concerned about driving it.

In November 2022 my car was over heating and i took into carmax where i purchased vehicle about a month ago. They then said they replaced the water pump/ thermostat. my car ran fine for about a year till now dec 2022 i started experiencing more overheating issues and have replace parts again because not under warrenty. i have know to find out its a issues with all chrisyer brands that they have overheating issues in the 3.5 v6 engines that overheating issues occur.

Alternator, Fuel Pump, and Brake Booster Water Shield all recall parts were supposed to be repaired at the Jeep service department on June 18 entered in to service department on June 12, 2023 and ready for pick up on June 19, 2023. The service department informed me that after installing the new parts that they shutdown the PCM had to be replace. After picking vehicle up from the Jeep service department the car shut down on the freeway which it stalled in the middle of the busy freeway which could have resulted in death which is a safety concern. After vehicle was safely pushed to side of road the vehicle was towed to home. I called the dealership next morning they informed me that I would have to repay for another tow back to the dealership to see what the problem was but I had to wait for an open appointment for this service so waited and finally the service department stated that I could send the vehicle back to service now on July 05, 2023 after week of calling and not getting an appointment. As indicated on the receipt from the Jeep service department on June 19, 2023 the vehicle failed because of recall parts failing. Now the second time the vehicle is in service the Jeep service department indicated that the recall parts failed again and now they don’t know what’s wrong with the vehicle at this point and they are trying to find remedies such as making me pay for a new TIPM that was damaged from the burnt out recall parts after being fixed. The vehicle is still not operational and no loaner vehicle was offered to me since this is my second time experiencing the same issues from the recalls that supposed to have been fixed which can put me and my family in danger without a proper solution or remedy.

Vehicle sent for recall repair and service on June 12, 2023 at Northland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 14100 West Eight Mile Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237. Vehicle serviced date release on June 19, 2023. Vehicle was serviced by Nathan Marghalle Lic# M271087 and service advisor 1479 Trevor Szymanski. The service department stated that the vehicle substained a gross malfunction because of bad alternator and bad pcm in the vehicle. Service department advisor parts were repaired and fixed. The vehicle was driven home and parked next day the vehicle wouldn't start and no power to vehicle having presented same issues that was deemed repaired and fixed but isn't functioning at all. Called service dealership and no solution was given at the time of contract, then called Jeep customer service number spoke with representative about the same issues with the vehicle after service. Was advised that I would receive a solution and follow up call and no call or solution. I am without a vehicle and am still paying a note and the vehicle is undrivable.

The contact's mother owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while her mother was driving 50 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. In addition, the failure recurred, and the stuck throttle body warning light was illuminated. Prior to bringing our Grand Cherokee (GC) to the dealer to fix the apply the fix for the fuel pump relay recall, the GC stalled once every one or two months. After dealer applied the solution to the fuel pump relay recall, GC stalls almost daily and sometimes more than once daily. Usually, the GC starts just fine. During the first drive of the day, as we take our foot off the gas, the GC stalls. This is dangerous and life-threatening because the stall has occurred on busy streets and on the highway. ATTACHMENT: I took a look a the external relay that the dealer installed. I'm suspicious about the relay. I looked the relay part number online and found that the relay was commonly used for another application and not for fuel pumps. Please check the relay part number in the attachment and verify that this is the correct relay for this fuel pump relay recall.

The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started to shake with an abnormal knocking sound coming from the driver’s and passenger’s side of the vehicle. During repair of thermostat, I was told my oil filter housing was cracked and leaking oil. The mechanic said this was a common problem with the V6 engine in Jeeps because the housing is made of plastic and sits on top of the engine where heat breaks down the plastic. Upon searching the web I found numerous instances of this complaint on various websites. I don't have oil dripping on the ground , but I worry where the oil is running to for instance a hot exhaust pipe. This repair is quite extensive from what I've read and at one point there was an issue getting the replacement part because of the number of failures of this housing. I'm guessing this was a cost cutting effort by Chrysler that's going to cost consumers in the end.

Yes the Jeep developed a stall while going down the highway then would crank and run for 3 or seconds and die again and that’s all it would do. Check engine light comes on as well as the lighting bolt on dash. I believe the fuel pump is part of the problem seeing how at a qt tank of gas it will die and only run when more gas is added but also the body control module cause it keeps throwing diff codes after I fix the issues. As well as the way it cranks n dies like security issue. This is very common for jeeps everywhere

The vehicle (2013 GC Trailhawk ) engine stalls while driving. The electrical remains on but engine oil error comes on and I can feel there is missing as if engine is not getting enough fuel, there is no power when you accelerate and the engine stalls. My safety is put in risk because this happens while driving on the highway and normal streets. I have taken it to my Jeep dealer (John Hughes, Perth, Australia ) and they too claimed to have never heard of this issue. Fuel pump relay was already repalced some time back. The issue continues and they claim they cannot figure out the problem. The engine will re-start after about 10 minutes powered off and drives fine until the next time it stalls, which has become more frequent. There is no warning when the engine will stall, it just stops running. This problem has been going on now for over six months for me with the stalling becoming more frequent.- Perth, WA, Austalia This has happened 5 times now in the last 6 months.

The vehicle engine stalls while driving. The electrical remains on, however the engine stalls. My safety is put in risk because this happens while driving on the highway and normal streets. I have taken it to the dealer (Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 10070 Manchester Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63122 (3140 965-5100) they claimed to have never heard of this issue, but informed me there was a recall on the Fuel Pump Relay. They replaced, however the issue continues and they claim they cannot figure out the problem. I did receive a letter from FCA-Fiat Chrysler Automobiles regarding the recal-P54(NHTSA14V-530) or safety recall R09 (NHTSA 15V-115). The engine will re-start after about 15 minutes and drives fine until the next time it stalls, which has become more frequent. There is no warning when the engine will stall, it just stops running. This problem has been going on now for over a year with the stalling becoming more frequent.

Went into dealership to address fuel pump recall v62. 3rd instance since 2013. Car would not start at pickup after recall was performed. Still same issue with fuel pump relay failure that results in a no-start condition if not running. Dealership rechecked work performed and started car after multiple starts. On the drive home car stalled in right hand turn at 30mph or less.

I DROPPED OF MY 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROCKEE TO A MECHANIC TO INSPECT FOR AN OIL LEAK. THE OIL FILTER HOUSING WAS FOUND TO BE CRACKED WHICH WAS CAUSING THE LEAK. THE MECHANIC STATED HE HAD REPLACED MORE OF THESE HOUSING BECAUSE THEY ARE PLASTIC AND WERE MADE TO THIN SO WHEN THE OIL FILTER OR COVER IS TIGHTENED DOWN AFTER HAVING THE OIL CHANGED, THE HOUSING CRACKS. AFTER CONTACTING A DEALER ABOUT THIS ISSUE THE DEALER STATED THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 60,000 REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND WOULDN'T BE IN ANYTIME SOON. I CONTACT CHRYSLER/JEEP WARRANTY AND THERE RESPONSE WAS THEY COMPLETED AN INVESTIGATION BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED YET. THEY WERE WORKING ON GETTING PARTS IN A TIMELY FASHION. IF THERE ARE 60,000 PROBLEMS OF THIS TYPE REPORTED FOR THIS ENGINE, WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL

DESPITE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS TO TWO DEALERSHIPS, IN ANNISTON, AL AND FOLEY, AL, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE TICKING WAS NORMAL FOR THE HEMI 5.7L ENGINE. THREE WEEKS AGO, I TOOK A JEEP FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND THE TECHNICIAN WROTE ON MY MULTI-POINT INSPECTION PAPERWORK 'NOTICED AN AUDIBLE TICKING'. THIS TECHNICIAN HAS TOLD ME TWICE PREVIOUSLY THAT THIS WAS NORMAL AND FAILED TO MENTION TO ME PERSONALLY WHILE IN THE DEALERSHIP. I ONLY NOTICED HE WROTE IT ON MY PAPERWORK AFTER I HAD LEFT. I CALLED AND REQUESTED TO SPEAK WITH THE TECHNIQUE CONCERNING THE TICKING AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK AND TO THIS MOMENT HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. CURRENTLY, MY VEHICLE HAS AN OPEN RECALL TO, AGAIN, REPLACE THE FAULTY FUEL PUMP RELAY SWITCH WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED THREE PRIOR TIMES, ONCE BY THE JEEP DEALERSHIP AND TWICE BY A PRIVATE TECHNICIAN. THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED A YEAR AGO AND STILL DOES NOT HAVE A REMEDY PER THE DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE WILL NOT START EVERYTIME AND ONCE IT'S JUMPERED TO ANOTHER CAR IT STARTS NO PROBLEM. SOMETIMES IT WILL START THEN IMMEDIATELY JUST DIE. VEHICLE HAS NEVER STALLED WHILE DRIVING. I BOUGHT IT DEC 2019 W/ 102K, IT NOW HAS 120K I DRIVE 400 MI/WK FOR WORK. I HAD TO BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE OF THE MILES AND THE WARRANTY CO. IS SAYING THEY WON'T FIX THIS AIR BAG MODULE AND SEAT BELT ISSUE AS WELL. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE BOUGHT BACK BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER HAS ALL PAPERWORK BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR.

MY VEHICLE HAS CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND NOW DOES NOT START AT ALL. I HAVE A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE, FIX, OR SELL DUE TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN. MY ONLY DESIRE IS A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE OR AT LEAST A REFUND OF THE CURRENT VALUE. WE CONTACTED THE JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND THEIR RESPONSE IS THAT THE COST WOULD BE TOO GREAT TO THE COMPANY. THESE VEHICLES ARE DANGEROUS AND THE FACT THAT THERE'S STILL NO FIX SHOULD BE VERY TROUBLING. NO ONE SHOULD BE DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT IS KNOWN TO CUT OFF AT ANYTIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO BE SERVICED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH FIRKINS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (2700 1ST ST, BRADENTON, FL 34208) AND WAS PROVIDED A COST TO DIAGNOSE AND DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT DECLINED THE SERVICE. "A VEHICLE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING CAN CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED 11/14/19. THE VEHICLE STARTED MAKING A LOUD TAPPING SOUND FROM ENGINE AT IDLE AND WHILE DRIVING. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT WITH BAD LIFTERS. THE NEEDLE BEARINGS IN THE LIFTERS USED IN THIS ENGINE TEND TO FAIL. THE FAILURE CAUSES THE LIFTER BEARING TO SEIZE UP AND DAMAGE THE CAMSHAFT. HAD LIFTERS REPLACED TWO TIMES IN A 4 MONTH PERIOD. CAMSHAFT REPLACED ONE TIME. RESEARCH ON THE WEB SHOW SEVERAL EXAMPLES OF THIS SAME FAILURE IN HEMI 5.7L ENGINES. THE FAILURE CAN OCCUR ANYWHERE FROM 50,000 MILES TO OVER 100,000 MILES. THIS PAST FRIDAY I WAS UNABLE TO START UP MY JEEP TO GO TO WORK AND WAS LEFT STRANDED IN MY GARAGE. I HAD TO MISS WORK THAT DAY AND HAVE THE JEEP TOWED TO A LOCAL AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE IT IS STILL PARKED FOUR DAYS LATER UNABLE TO START UP AND IS UNDIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WOULD AT TIMES SEEM TO LOSE POWER ESPECIALLY GOING UP HILL WHETHER IT WAS ON A CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET A TRUE DIAGNOSTIC TEST DONE ON 6/15/19 WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL SHOWING ON MY DASHBOARD. THEY CODE READER GAVE P0128 SO I ENDED UP HAVING TO GET MY THERMOSTAT GAUGE REPLACED AND TOTAL REPAIRS WITH DIAGNOSTIC WERE $309.15. I FOUND IT FRUSTRATING AND UNSAFE THAT FOR 5 MONTHS THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY APPEAR. AFTER A TRIP OUT OF TOWN AND DROVE A TOTAL OF CLOSE TO 1200 MILES, THE LIGHT STAYED ON. AT THIS POINT, IT IS WHEN I DECIDED TO TAKE IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE THE ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARED. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE SEATBELT WARNING LIGHT WOULD NOT ALWAYS ALERT IF A PASSENGER DID NOT HAVE THEIRS ON. I TRIED TO GO BACK AND SELECT THE SEATBELT PROBLEM SELECTION, BUT IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO.

THE GARAGE ALSO RE-CONFIRMED THAT THIS RELAY HAS BEEN REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL, IN 2015. THE MEANING OF THIS FAILURE DEMONSTRATES THAT PRACTICALLY, REPLACING THE UNIT UNDER RECALL R09 HAS NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM AND THE RISK IS STILL THERE! I ALMOST HIT A PEDESTRIAN THAT WAS WALKING ON THE SIDEWALK. THIS WAS A CITY STREET, THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, AND I WAS TURNING LEFT. I HAVE CALLED THE JEEP DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY TELLING THEM ABOUT THIS SYMPTOM OF MY VEHICLE. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE NOT STARTING WHEN TRY TO TURN IT ON, THE ENGINE WILL TURN OVER REPEATEDLY BUT NOT FIRE UP. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, IT SOMETIMES WILL START. IT IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE. OTHER TIMES I NEED TO CALL A TOW TRUCK. I FEEL THIS IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO RECALL R09, EVEN THOUGH THIS RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE, THESE ARE THE SAME SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED, SO I THINK THE PROBLEM IS BACK EVEN AFTER THE RECALL. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY CHRYSLER/JEEP. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AT RIVER OAKS JEEP/CHRYSLER ON 4807 KIRBY DRIVE IN HOUSTON TX, 77098, AND PAID FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THEY INITIALLY WERE NOT ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. AFTER A COUPLE DAYS THEY SAID THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT HOLDING PRESSURE AND WOULD COST $2000 TO REPLACE. I CAN NOT AFFORD THAT RIGHT NOW, AND I DECLINED REPAIRS. I CALLED THE HEADQUARTERS FOR CHRYSLER/JEEP DEALERSHIP AND ASKED FOR THEM TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A MALFUNCTIONING PART RELATED TO A RECALL, AND THEY REFUSED. THIS IS DOCUMENTED UNDER CASE #34923344. I FEEL CHRYSLER JEEP SHOULD EITHER REPLACE MY FUEL PUMP RELAY AGAIN, EVEN AFTER IT WAS ALREADY DONE ONCE UNDER RECALL R09, OR THEY SHOULD PAY TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP, AS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM WITH 100% CERTAINTY. 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH A 3.6 LITRE PENTASTAR V6 ENGINE AND 56,500 MILES DID NOT PRODUCE HEAT FROM THE VENTS AND OVERHEATED.THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SEAVIEW JEEP IN OCEAN NEW JERSEY.THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IT WAS RETURNED TO ME AND THE SERVICE REP STATED THAT THE OVERHEATING ISSUE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE MYSELF AND THE ENGINE OVERHEATING A THIRD TIME I ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER IF THE ENGINE COULD BE HAVING AN ISSUE WITH EXHAUST GASES ENTERING THE COOLING SYSTEM AND CAUSING THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT AND IF THIS WAS CHECKED IN THE PREVIOUS TROUBLESHOOTING OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANAGER REPLIED THAT A BLOCK TEST WAS NOT DONE AND TO RETURN THE VEHICLE SO THE TEST COULD BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS KEPT AT THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE SECOND TIME IT WAS TOWED THERE FROM 12/22/17 - 1/16/18 AND RETURNED TO ME AFTER THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY FLUSHED AND FILLED THE COOLING SYSTEM AND RAN THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS WITHOUT IT OVERHEATING OR LOSING HEAT. THE MANAGER DID ADMIT THAT THERE WAS A WATER SWOOSHING SOUND COMING FROM BEHIND THE DASH THAT WAS UNUSUAL AND CLAIMED THERE WAS AIR POCKETS THAT THEY REMOVED WHEN THEY BLED THE AIR FROM THE SYSTEM. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME ON 1/16/18 IT WAS DRIVEN ON 1/17/18 BY MY WIFE AND THE NO HEAT/OVERHEATING ISSUE RETURNED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME AND THE BLOCK TEST WAS PERFORMED.THE SERVICE MANAGER REPORTED TO ME THAT THE ENGINE HAD A CRACKED LEFT CYLINDER HEAD AND QUOTED ME A $2600 REPAIR COST. I CALLED CHRYSLER JEEP CUSTOMER CARE AT 877-426-5337 TO FILE A COMPLAINT AND A REDUCED RATE FOR REPAIRS WAS NEGOTIATED DOWN TO $500 WITH A CASE #33267278. I DON'T BELEIVE I SHOULD BE LIABLE DUE TO THE MANUFACTURES DEFECTIVE CYLINDER HEAD. THE CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD HAS BEEN REPORTED ON NUMEROUS 3.6 PENTASTAR ENGINES.

THE TIPM FAILED ON THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A SUDDEN STOP. ALL FUNCTIONS IN THE CAR WERE HALTED. THIS RESULTED IN STRANDING MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. AFTER BEING TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WOULD COST ME $1349.36 TO REPLACE THE FAULTY TIPM. NUMEROUS RESEARCH INTO THIS PROBLEM REVEALS MANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE TIPM FROM JEEP WHICH COULD LIKELY TO RESULT IN SERIOUS SAFETY RELATED PROBLEMS NOT TO MENTION VERY COSTLY REPAIRS. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT 76K MILES. SINCE AROUND 20K MILES, MY CAR HAS HAD ISSUES WITH STARTING THAT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, SLOW/NO RESPONSE FROM PUSH BUTTON START, SLOW/NO RESPONSE WITH SMART ENTRY SYSTEM WHEN LOCKING/UNLOCKING DOORS. ALL OF THESE ISSUES ARE VERY INTERMITTENT. TO GO INTO MORE DETAIL ABOUT THE STARTING ISSUE, THE CAR WOULD START COMPLETELY, BUT THEN SHORTLY AFTER THE RPM WOULD DROP TO 0 AND THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WOULD STAY ON. WHEN TRYING TO PUSH THE START BUTTON AGAIN, IT WOULD TRY TO CRANK FOR 15 SECONDS. IT'S NECESSARY TO COMPLETELY POWER OFF THE CAR TO PROPERLY START THE CAR. SOMETIMES THE ISSUE PRESENTS ITSELF IMMEDIATELY AFTER. THESE ISSUES HAPPEN WITH BOTH KEY FOBS EVEN AFTER SWITCHING TO FRESH BATTERIES. I'VE TAKEN IT TO JEEP DEALERSHIP 4-5 TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TWICE FOR ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE STARTING ISSUE. THEY WERE NEVER ABLE TO DUPLICATE OR NO CODES WOULD PRESENT THEMSELVES. I HAVE STRONG SUSPICION OF THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) FAILING, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY $1200 TO REPLACE. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, JEEP WILL NOT REPLACE UNTIL DUPLICATED. I EVEN LEFT THE CAR AT JEEP FOR A WEEK ONE OF THOSE VISITS. THE ISSUES HAPPEN ALMOST EVERY OTHER DAY OR ON A VERY BAD WEEK, EVERY DAY THE CAR IS USED. JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY POOR AND I'VE BEEN STUCK WITH THIS ISSUE FOR WAY TOO LONG. THE STARTING ISSUE EVEN HAPPENED TODAY, TWICE.

CHECK LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY COMES ON EVEN AFTER BEING CLEARED AND THE JEEP TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THAT IT FAULTY SENSOR. THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR WHICH IS A $30-40 BUT WOULD COST OVER $550 TO REPAIR IT. THE TECHNICIAN EVEN SAID THIS A PROBLEM THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME AND MY FAMILY BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD ALREADY 5 SERIOUS RECALLS PLUS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. THIS VEHICLE ISN'T SAFE AND CONSUMERS ARE FORKING THE BILL TO PAY FOR THESE POORLY BUILT JEEP VEHICLES. I ALSO SEE MORE RECALLS ARE COMING IN THE FUTURE AND HOW IS THE NHTSA PROTECTING US CONSUMERS FROM THESE CAR COMPANIES WHO MAKE AND BUILD POOR VEHICLES. THERE WERE 1,700 PARTS THAT WERE NOT RECEIVED SO THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PART WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER FOR MONTHS AND WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE. THE FIRST ISSUE HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS AGO, THE CAR REFUSED TO START AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET FIXED. THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT, AND COULD HAVE HAPPENED AT ANY POINT. CURRENTLY THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE NOVEMBER 10TH. THE VEHICLE HESITATES BEFORE MOVING FORWARD WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS, THEN SOMETHING ENGAGES AND IT JUMPS FORWARD. SOMETIMES IT COMES TO A STOP BEFORE IT RAPIDLY ACCELERATES. THE JEEP HAS BEEN AT ATLANTIC JEEP FOR ALMOST FOUR WEEKS AND THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN FORTHCOMING IN EXPLAINING WHAT IS GOING ON. THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE IT OUT THEMSELVES AND I AM IN FEAR OF DRIVING THIS CAR IN THE FUTURE IF THE SAME PROBLEMS OCCUR. THERE SEEMS TO BE A BIG RISK OF HAVING A CRASH WITH THE ISSUES DESCRIBED ABOVE. THIS HAPPENED ON HIGHWAYS, STREETS, SLOW OR FAST DIDN'T SEEM TO HAVE AN AFFECT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE ENGINE AND ALL SYSTEMS STOP; TURN OFF WITHOUT NOTICE. ACTUALLY NOT A STALL, BUT ALL POWER CEASES TO WORK ABRUPTLY. THE CAR THEN MUST BE STOPPED FULLY TO ALLOW A RESTART. WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR BRAKES THE CAR IS IMMEDIATELY SUBJECT TO A REAR END COLLISION. IT HAS ALWAYS OCCURRED AT SPEEDS AROUND 15 TO 20 MPH, AND NORMALLY WHEN SLOWING. JEEP DEALERS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND, OF COURSE I CANNOT DUPLICATE FOR THEM AS IT OCCURS WITHOUT NOTICE PERIODICALLY. JEEP RECENTLY, FINALLY ISSUED A RECALL FOR A FIX BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUES EVEN AFTER THEIR "FIX". THE CAR DOES HAVE AN AFTERMARKET SUPPLEMENTAL BRAKING SYSTEM TO ALLOW TOWING BY AN RV. THAT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE, BUT THE STALLS HAVE CONTINUED. I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR NOR WILL I ALLOW MY FAMILY TO DO SO.

IN APRIL MY CAR STARTED RANDOMLY NOT STARTING. IT'S HAPPENED 4 TIMES AND BEEN IN THE SHOP ONCE FOR THIS ISSUE. IT IS GOING AGAIN MONDAY 6/16 FOR THE SAME ISSUE. IT WILL RANDOMLY NOT START, IT RANDOMLY TRIES TO STALL ON ME. IT WILL RANDOMLY NOT RESPOND TO PUSHING THE POWER BUTTON. IT WILL RANDOMLY MAKE A HIGH PITCHED SQUEALING NOISE. IT IS VERY SCARY WHEN IT TRIES TO STALL BECAUSE I CAN BE RIDING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH WHEN IT HAPPENS OR SITTING STILL AT A RED LIGHT. I DRIVE OVER 120 MILES PER DAY AND I CANNOT BE STRANDED OR STALL OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IT'S GOING TO THE SHOP AGAIN MONDAY TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE FOR THE SECOND TIME. MAKES THE 5TH TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR VARIOUS ISSUES SINCE I'VE HAD IT LESS THAN 15 MONTHS. *JS

WHILE PARKING IN A PARKING LOT WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE ENGINE RPM'S SURGED AND I HAD TO APPLY EXTREMELY HARD FORCE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP AFTER TRAVELING 10 TO 15 FEET. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN AND I TOOK THE JEEP TO YARK SERVICE IN TOLEDO OH. THEY RAN A DIAGNOSIS AND COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES. MY WIFE TOOK THE JEEP AND WHILE PARKING HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. BEFORE SHE COULD STOP THE VEHICLE RAN INTO A POST AND SUSTAINED DAMAGE. I CALLED JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPORTED IT AS A SAFETY PROBLEM ON AUG 31. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPT. THEY SAID NOTHING COULD BE DONE AT THAT TIME. I TOOK IT BACK THE NEXT WEEK AND THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,227.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE WAS EMITTED FROM THE VENTILATION SYSTEM. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED BURNS TO THE HANDS, A FOUL TASTE OF METAL, AND AN INEBRIATED SENSATION. THE CONTACT WAS HOSPITALIZED HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE EXACT SUBSTANCE THAT CAUSED THE SYMPTOMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE RADIATOR WAS EMITTING A SUBSTANCE THROUGH THE VENTILATION SYSTEM. THE ACTUAL SUBSTANCE THAT CAUSED THE INJURY TO THE CONTACT WAS UNKNOWN. THE DEALER REPLACED THE RADIATOR, HOSES, THERMOSTAT, COOLING FLUID, AND FILTERS IN THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH A NEW VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 306. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,300.

WHEN PULLING AWAY FROM A STOP LIGHT, THE ENGINE STARTED REVVING VERY QUICKLY (TACHOMETER REGISTERED APPROX.5 RPMS) BUT THE VEHICLE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ACCELERATION OR SPEED. NO ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, NO WARNINGS WERE EVIDENT. I PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT @ WORK TRAVELING AT APPROX. 20MPH DESPITE HEARING THE ENGINE REVVING VERY LOUDLY. WHEN I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR, THE SPEED DECREASED UNUSUALLY FAST. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO FIT ME IN THAT AFTERNOON. THE PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR 8 HRS LATER ON THE WAY TO THE DEALER. SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED "WE DROVE THE CAR FOR SEVERAL MILES, HOOKED IT UP TO THE COMPUTER. THERE WERE NO "CODES" AND WE COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM." THE SERVICE GUY SUGGESTED I BRING IT BACK IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. I TAKE THE XWAY TO WORK AND BACK SO IT WILL TOTALLY SUCK IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. *TR

LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ON FRIDAY OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. LOST BRAKES AND STEERING TOO. LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER. TRIED TO RESTART MULTIPLE TIMES, AND STARTER JUST WHIRRED OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I COULDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT FROM ATTEMPTING TO START. IT WOULD ULTIMATELY GIVE UP. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE SENT A TOW. THE NEXT DAY AT THE DEALERSHIP IT STARTED, BUT IT'S STILL THERE FOR THE LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND. LUCKILY I WASN'T TOWING MY TRAVEL TRAILER. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AS I'VE READ OF MANY INSTANCES SIMILAR TO THIS RECURRING MANY TIMES. *TR

JEEP WAS STOPPED AT LIGHT AND I STEPPED ON ACCELERATOR AFTER LIGHT CHANGED. ENGINE REVVED UP AND CAR TOOK OFF AND PICKED UP SPEED AND I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE, BUT THE RPMS WOULDN'T GO DOWN, EVEN WITH THE BRAKE PRESSED AND THE CAR NOT MOVING THE RPMS WERE AT ALMOST 7000. THE JEEP KEPT ON WANTING TO GO FAST. I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND IT SHIFTED HARD INTO NEUTRAL. THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED RED UNTIL I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 1500 MILES YET! THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A HONDA PILOT. I TRULY REGRET HAVING BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF S...!
