Last year while driving my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the headrest collision system went off for no reason, hitting me in the back of the head. Luckily I did not lose control of the vehicle and there was no collision or injury to myself. It was very scary, but I maintained control of the vehicle. I went to my local Jeep dealer Pembroke Pines Jeep Auto Nation at 13601Pines Blvd Suite A Pembroke Pines, FL 33027. They told me it was a known issue and the service person made an appointment for me later that week , at which they replaced the headrest at no cost to me under a recall service bulletin issued by Jeep/Stellantis. The same thing happened last week while driving, when the passenger side headrest activated for NO reason, this time striking my wife in the head. I went back to the same dealership. They told me that this headrest is no longer covered under the warranty which has now expired in April of 2025. and would cost $800 to repair. They told me to call Stellantis and see if they would cover the repair. I went home and called Stellantis, whose customer service agent advised me that he was going to escalate my concern to his supervisor. I got a call today and they told me that my car is not covered by any warranty and that I would be responsible for the repair. My car VIN number does not fall under the recall which has expired. He also told me that Stellantis is not responsible for the repair and he should ask the dealer to see if they would possibly split the cost of the repair with me. This could of been a very serious situation, had I lost control of the vehicle as a driver. I looked further online and in Jeep owners club forums and this seems to be a common problem with Jeeps and Dodge Durangos, both owned by Stellantis. This is a clear and dangerous safety issue!

The headrests on both my drivers and passenger side popped out. This seems to be a reoccuring issue with Jeeps and it happened while I was driving. The airbags have not been deployed and I was not in an accident. They will not go back in and Jeep wants $750 to replace each as they are not covered under a recall.

Component/System Involved: Active head restraint (headrest) – deployed without cause. The component is available for inspection upon request. I also have photos documenting the incident. Description of Incident: On August 6, 2025, at approximately 5:40 PM, while driving home from work at around 35 MPH, the driver-side headrest deployed suddenly and forcefully, striking the back of my head. There was no sudden braking, no impact, and no vehicle in front of me. The deployment was completely unprovoked and occurred under normal driving conditions. Safety Risk: This unexpected deployment posed a serious safety risk. It could have caused me to lose control of the vehicle and potentially crash. I am currently experiencing neck and upper back pain as a result. Reproducibility: The issue has not yet been inspected or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, as it occurred just last night. Inspection: The vehicle and the headrest component have not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Warning Signs: There were no warning lamps, messages, or any other symptoms prior to the failure. The deployment occurred without any indication or cause.

The SRS airbag light keeps coming up and does not show up as an error when a diagnostic is run on the car and they need to pull tge system apart to figire iut what the issue is. Secondly the capless gas tank nozzle keeps falling off.

Car stalls without warning. Car is able to cruise and brake until I can pull off to the side of the road. Car will restart after turning it off. Speed, time, duration of the drive does not matter. It happened at 40 MPH, 60 MPH, 80 MPH. It happens 5 minutes into a drive or 20 minutes. Took it to the mechanic multiple times, codes do not pop up. Engine light does not come on. Mechanic is unable to find the problem.

I was crossing a road to get to the median and my Jeep stopped moving in the middle of a 4 lane highway, separated by a median that I never made it to due to it stopping moving during acceleration. It made noise when I pressed on the gas pedal but didn’t go anywhere. I was hit by a car that couldn’t avoid me, and my daughter and I were injured in the crash. My daughter had a fracture in her right leg & facial bruising. I had a laceration requiring stitches and facial bruising, lost consciousness at the scene and am severely concussed. Progressive deemed my Jeep a total loss.

While driving on 4 lane, at 55mph Jeep Grand Cherokee shifts into N very rough, steer to shoulder of hwy - dash reads “vehicle speed to high to shift” - and kills motor. Happened 3 times last night (12/3/24 at 7:15pm- outdoor temp was 21) Very, very hazardous to say the least!!! What is happening here? At the time this happened- no warning at all! Jeep has a serious problem with others complaining about this same issue- they have gotten no answers.

Our Jeep will shift into neutral at random while driving. This has happened 5 times with in 2 years and twice on the same day. The most recent incident occurred on [XXX] while driving my wife and 3 week old daughter to Orange County. On this day, the Jeep shifted into neutral twice. The first time it happen, we were heading to Orange County and I was on the offramp when it shifted and I was able to pull over safely. My wife has experienced this previously and told me to turn off the car and wait a minute and turn it it back on. I was able to turn the car on and got to our destination. On our return home, it happened again while we were in the fast lane on the highway. I had to cross 5 lanes while the vehicle was in neutral during traffic. Once, we got to the side of the highway, I wasn't able to use the break as well. It felt like it was fighting me while pushing the break but we did eventually come to a stop. The jeep was not able to start back up like the first time and had to call for a tow truck. We have taken this Jeep 3 times to get inspected but all 3 times they couldn't duplicate the issue and gave us the keys back like nothing is wrong. We've taken it to a Chrysler dealership twice and a private one. There was never a warning lamp light whenever this occurred. The Jeep's defect poses a significant safety risk to myself, my infant daughter, my son, my wife, or whomever is in my car at the time and everyone else on the road. My feeling is that Chrysler won't do anything until its too late and someone is injured or a lost of life. I have reached out to them already and got a case number. Fuel pressure pump system RECALL, the dealership refuses to put the RECALL part on due to my vehicle not running. There has been more problems with my JEEP as well with the amount of recalls and malfunctions I have been in and out of the garage. Currently is being held at Roger Williams Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram- Weatherford TX. I just want to get my recalls done first to go from there and then will get my Jeep fixed if the recall does not fix the problem. I have had it there since June and they have the part in just are refusing to put it on.

When raining the water will leak throug the sunroof or headliner not sure where it comes through but it comes from 2 places one hitting the arm rest / middle console which caused the terrain selection to go out and im worried it will cause the screen or something else to go out and catch on fire as I read it is common with these problems , when I purchased the vehicle as well they said it was just a frozen trunk gate spring but once I looked up the problem happening it is said to cause the gate to go out

The Sun roof on my vehicle spontaneously exploded while I was driving on the highway. There was no one in front of me or behind me. I was traveling at around 65mph. Thankfully my children were not in the car.

Driving on highway 290 West near Waller. At 75mph I attempted to pass slower traffic by accelerating after moving into the farthest left (passing) lane when my Jeep lost power. Had to maneuver while coasting between traffic in lanes (frogger anyone?) to farthest right lane by coasting through to an exit by chance. Would not restart while coasting. Traffic line formed behind me for those also seeking same exit I needed at the last second. I was unable to fully move into shoulder because of debris seen and fear of damage to tires. After coasting to a full stop a quarter mile from Love's Truckstop, put vehicle in park, and was able to restart after hesitation. Engine light on with my reader stating "confirmed" codes P0336, U1401; and a "pending" code of P05ED. Now takes 3-5 seconds to start when used to be "instantly." In a nutshell, this was not fun. :| Note to manufacturer , please stop skimping out on quality.

The rear lift gate automatically closes after being raised to the open position. It descends with considerable force and has struck me in the head on multiple occasions. Despite discussing the matter with the Jeep dealership, I was informed that there is no active recall for this specific issue on my vehicle. However, safety recalls have been issued for similar issues in other vehicles of the same class but different model years. I am genuinely worried about the safety implications of this problem and am disappointed that Jeep has not recognized and addressed it.

Was driving along normally and came to a stop and heard a big pile at the back of the car followed by a crinkling noise as I realized the rear glass was beginning to shatter. I looked at the person behind me to see if they may have seen something but they appeared to be completely unaware. I looked around to see if anything could have hit the glass but there was no evidence of that. About 20 minutes earlier I had used the rear defrost and that's the only thing I could think of that would have potentially cause the issue.

22V-406 Recall issued June 9 2022. We’ve tried to have fixed but parts unavailable. At what point is this untimely? It has been over a year which seems untimely to me. The safety issue indicates high pressure fuel pump ("HPFP") that could fail prematurely. A HPFP failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning.

I have had several incidents where the car was not responding properly such as fob key unlocking car, even with brand new battery, I’d have to unlock car manually but alarm would go off for 10min+ then randomly stop and car would allow me turn it on. Sunroof wouldn’t work properly and get stuck. One night ( about 8/12) car lights turn on and off and power gate lift opens randomly and battery catches fire which is extreme danger. Someone was able to put it out in time. This is a fairly new battery. Car has been in dealership for about 3 weeks now and I have been told that the body control module failed causing non stop current to the battery causing it to explode. I am now being charged $1600~ for repair/ parts.

I had a warning code of service electronic throttle. It then started to regenerate and we took it to Lithia Jeep to fix EGR recall. They needed to replace engine intake because it caught fire. Several months later the car broke down while driving, sputtering, knocking, squealing. Upon inspection, metal flakes found in oil. Suspected HPFP sucked into engine causing havoc. The HPFP is an open recall but no available replacement parts. I'm currently out of a vehicle. I've contacted Jeep but haven't heard a reply

I was driving in the high and when I went to accelerate the vehicle went into “limp” mode. I made it to the closest dealership to get checked. The dealership explained to me the tone wheel delaminated and that is the reason my check engine light came on. The codes read camshaft position sensor issue, but the dealership said it is because of the delaminated tone wheel

Today, July 22, 2023, my son (21 years old) was sitting in the driver's seat of our Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015 parked in a parking lot and he felt like someone punched him in the back of the head. It turned out to be the headrest (active head restraint) whacking him in the back of his head. The active head restraint pushed out and can't go back in. He was not driving, but his head and neck hurt from this spontaneous event. I called the dealership where we purchased the car and we are bringing the car to the dealership on Monday, July 24th. There were no warning lamps, messages or any other problems with the car when this happened. He was not even driving.

When setting cruise control to speed limit then pressing brake and then resume the jeep sone times accelerates to a higher speed the. Having to break again. Has been reoccurring nervous when driving and setting cruise or resuming. Have not taken it in as of yet.

The computer/screen died disabling most of the essential controls/functions of the vehicle including: hands free calling, control of the temperature/air flow, park assist/safety options, security features. This issue also disabled the ability to control other functions such as the windshield wipers and drained the battery until it died. The battery had to be recharged and then after that any time I turned the car off I had to unplug the battery so that it wouldn’t be drained.

I put my car in park and ran in my house to grab my wallet. When I came back out, my Jeep had rolled down the driveway. The Jeep would crank but wouldn't move and there was a warning that said "service shifter." I had it towed to the Jeep dealership where I spent over $3,000 to have it repaired. There was a previous recall on Jeeps because they could roll away when people thought they were in park, however this issue wasn't covered by that recall. No vehicle should just roll away like that. The safety of others was put at risk because my neighbors kids were actually riding their bikes in the road at the time this happened. Had one of them been hit or killed, I would have been liable for that. There is a serious issue with Jeeps that needs to be corrected.

My jeep has started experiencing rough driving and the gears slipping. I took it for service and they told me all the issues wrong were under a recall. (NHTSA 23-E-019) equipment safety recall 21A. He indicated: uplift timing, torque converter engagement, shift points, calibration issues, downshifts and other things. I called my local dealer and gave them my vin but they stated my vehicle has not been recalled and they won't fix it. The big concern is the slipping gears. It lungs forward at times and I am scared it is going to cause an accident. It is very rough to drive. The service 4 wheel drive system light came on. It started 4/27/23. It is very bad when turning the vehicle and driving slow.

The dashboard is bubbling up and peeling which causes a humming noise when driving above 60 miles per hour. I contacted the dealership and since my warranty has ended I was quoted a cost of $1800. I did see where there was a recall for this issue for previous models.

Oil pump assembly. The problem was confirmed by a independent service center. As I was driving down the highway at 40/45 mph, I heard a knocking sound under the hood. I pulled into a shoping center got out to go into a store came back out turned on the jeep and the engine light came on. Drive home called my mechanic. He said don't drive it have it towed in, it might be the oil pump or power train modular. It was the oil pump. My mechanic said I was the forth person to bring my jeep in with this problem within the last 2 weeks

All the door hinges need replaced. Very difficult to open and close the doors. I called Jeeps headquarters and they gave me no info on this matter. The replaced hinges are$100 apiece. I believe this a safety concern, not bring able to open the doors easily.

The vehicle shifter design on this vehicle enables the shifting of the vehicle into an undesired gear without driver knowledge. I have shifted into reverse countless times when trying to shift to park or neutral when trying to shift to drive. I was attempting to hookup a trailer at a slight incline when I needed to adjust the vehicle slightly. I attempted to shift to drive but went to neutral. When I removed my food from the gas I rolled back into the trailer. This damaged my vehicle and could have serious consequences if a person is between the trailer and vehicle. This shifter need to be replaced before someone is injured or killed.

Hello I’ve seen some oil leakage all over engine of car. Mechanic stated the oil filter housing has to be replaced but not covered under jeep warranty. car is driving ok for now .I’m at 79,000 miles. I’m concerned that this may become a bigger issue especially fire hazard when driving car.I’ve see similar issue on 2 other jeeps grand cherokees. I have not seen it come up as a recall but have seen multiple complaints.I feel that this is a mechanical issue and should be covered by Jeep.

On Nov 18,2021 I took my car in for recall issues that had to be fixed. I had never had this issues until I fixed the day I took my car in. On Dec 23,2021 I was leaving town for the holidays when all of a sudden my car stopped and it would run I was on the freeway by the way! Cars were going next to at about 60-70mph thankfully I was able to get out the freeway on to the ramp. When I shifted my car in park it started walking forward..!! This was a recall supposedly the dealership fixed. This became a danger hazard for me and mg family. The tow truck picked it up and we dropped it off at the dealership. They said it was just the radiator, the bumper and this other thing. But now it left the repair shop and they are telling me my transmission is bad it’s no longer working and I need to buy and put a new one in. This is horrible. It makes me think about buying another jeep. Me and my family could have gotten seriously injured!

Was driving down the road it was raining no other vehicles around BRAKING! came on the screen and the brakes were applied without me doing it. The second time it happened brakes locked up on interstate for a couple seconds then back to normal. If anyone would have been behind us we would have been rear ended. It happened 2 times within an hour. I will be getting it looked at by the dealership as soon as I can.

Hello I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. 5.7 ltr V8 engine. I recently bought this vehicle back in 04/21. I have noticed that the leather dashboard is bubbling and starting to lift and peel. I have looked on Jeep Forums and found out this is a very common issue which is not a recall/warranty. The cost to fix is approximately $3,000. There are plenty of other complaints and this needs to be addressed as it soon can become a safety hazard for driver impairment as well. I have called Jeep and their customer service team and was not helped.

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. While traveling down the highway at approximately 65mph, the entire dash began to blink in and out, all kinds of error symbols flashed, I lost power steering and the car switched itself in to neutral – this resulted in an accident. This car has been In and out of the shop for the past several months. Every time it looks like it fixed, the car’s computer seems to do as it pleases. I lose driving power, it switches itself in neutral or the dash throws error symbols. I am at a point where paying for constant ‘repairs’ and insurance is becoming way too costly. I do NOT feel safe riding with my family in this car!!!

My wife was driving her vehicle on the highway at 60 mph and heard a loud pop in her vehicle and came to realize the back portion of her panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded. She did not have her sunroof open at the time and the roof shade was closed thank God. There were no other cars around her when it happened and nothing that could have fallen on her sunroof due to her driving on an open highway. If her shade was open, it could've have been very dangerous if there were people in the back seat and getting hit with glass falling on them. Plus the initial shock and noise could've have made her get in an accident causing harm to others or herself.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.6 pentastar. Bought the vehicle 10-2020 and had issue with running hot due to faulty electric radiator cooling fan and thermostat and housing failure. Repaired the thermostat and hosing at local Jeep dealership. 2 weeks later, radiator cooling fan froze and ceased operation, replaced by independent repair shop. Within a couple the oil cooler and filter housing adapter developed a crack causing a catastrophic oil leak.

On April 23rd at 9:28pm I was driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015 on a highway at approximately 45mph when suddenly the transmission slipped to neutral without any human interference. I tried shifting it back to drive but the transmission did not respond. The Jeep lost momentum very quickly and came to a complete stop in the highway. As soon as it went to a complete stop it locked itself in parking position and l lost all ability to put it back to drive. I turned my blinkers and emergency lights on, but one minute later I got rear-ended by a car traveling at 50mph. My Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015 got totaled and I was taken to the hospital in stable condition. I was in a bad collision due to the Jeep slipping into neutral and locking itself in parking. I lost ALL ability to control my Jeep. The jeep got towed to a safe location. Two weeks later, we needed to move the car to another area for the insurance inspection. The car turned on and moved, yet again when the car gained velocity, the gear slipped to neutral and again came to a complete stop it, locking the transmission in the parking position. I always took my car for regular maintenance and it was a very well kept Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015.

MY JEEP HAS NOW ON 2 OCCASIONS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED LOST ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE- APRIL 29 & MAY 1ST WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 70MPH IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE- IT FELT LIKE THE ENGINE SLIPPED INTO NEUTRAL-HOWEVER IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE-I VERIFIED THIS- VEHICLE RAPIDLY DECELERATED - I BARELY GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT BEING IN A COLLISION- VEHICLE THEN AFTER BEING RESTARTED WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE INTO DRIVE AGAIN AND MOVE BOTH FORWARD & BACKWARDS DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE PROBLEM HOWEVER UPON TAKING THE CAR HOME ON MAY 1ST SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN- THIS TIME WITH A EYEWITNESS AS WELL MAY 1 AT 50MPH- ENGINE (STILL RUNNING) CUT OUT AS IF IT SLIPPED INTO NEUTRAL - THE VEHICLE STILL SAID IT WAS IN DRIVE WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO A FULL STOP- THE LIGHT FOR GEAR SHIFT - CHANGED & IT READ THAT JT WAS IN NEUTRAL - SIMULTANEOUSLY A MESSAGE POPPED UP (ONLY AFTER IT WAS STOPPED) 'VEHICLE SPEED IS TOO HIGH TO SHIFT' OF COURSE WE WERE ALREADY STOPPED AND NEVER TRIED TO SHIFT IT ANYWAY MY JEEP WAS MANUFACTURED IN SEPTEMBER 2014-THIS PROBLEM CLOSELY CORRELATES WITH ANOTHER RECALL THAT IS LIMITED TO SAME JEEP MODELS MADE PRIOR TO JULY 2014 SEE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 19V447 (SEE LINK BELOW) THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AND THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO HAVE NO AWARENESS OF THIS PROBLEM IN JEEPS MADE IN THE SAME YEAR AS MINE HTTPS://WWW.CONSUMERREPORTS.ORG/CAR-RECALLS-DEFECTS/JEEP-CHEROKEE-RECALLED-FOR-TRANSMISSION-ISSUE/

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY MY ENGINE SHUT ITSELF OFF AND WENT INTO NEUTRAL. I NOTICED A LOT OF SMOKE/STEAM COMING OUT OF THE BACK OF MY CAR. I PULLED MY CAR OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND STOPPED IT. BOTH SIDES BROKE ACTIVATING THE HEADREST. I FIXED THAT ONE NOW TODAY THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST FAILED THE SAME WAY. LUCKILY IT BROKE WHILE THE CAR WAS SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT NOT WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON ONLINE JEEP FORUMS. I AM NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING TO COME FROM THIS BUT WANT TO FORMALLY DOCUMENT THIS IN HOPE OF PREVENTING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE HEADREST DESIGN IS SIMPLE IN FORM; HOWEVER, THE MATERIALS USED LACK THE STRENGTH TO RETAIN THE CONSTANT SPRING TENSION LONG TERM. A SIMPLE METAL BRACKET WOULD ALLEVIATE THE STRAIN ON THE PLASTIC TABS. I HAVE PHOTOS IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM.

THERE IS A BOX IN THE REAR OF THE CONSOLE THAT YOU CAN OPEN AND USING A KEY PUSH IN A BAR AND SOMETIMES IT WILL COME OUT OF PARK AND LET YOU SHIFT TO REVERSE OR DRIVE. IT HAS HUNG 6-7 TIMES AND HAS COST ME $75 EACH TIME TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. EACH TIME THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT AND THEY DONT CHECK ANYTHING. THERE HAS TO .BE SOMETHING IN THE SHIFTER OR TRANSMISSION. I HAVE DRIVEN JEEPS SINCE 1993 AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I'VE HAD. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THE JEEP EXCEPT LOCALLY. I THEN "ROLLED" INTO AN EMPTY LOT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE SMOKE WAS NOTICED COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. I POPPED THE HOOD BUT DID NOT OPEN IT AND CALLED 911. 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH 66,500 MILES SUDDENLY HAD SERVICE SHIFTER MESSAGE IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAD TROUBLE SHIFTING CAR INTO GEAR. ALMOST SEEMED LIKE IT WAS LOCKED UP. THE MESSAGE DISAPPEARED AND WENT INTO GEAR WITH NO MORE PROBLEMS FOR A FEW DAYS. THEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I TOOK MY JEEP IN AND NOTHING SHOWED ON THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST CONCERNING SHIFTER, BUT THEY DID FIND PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING SYSTEM. ISSUE WAS COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. THEY RE-EXAMINED IT AGAIN AND STILL COULD T FIND ANY ISSUES WITH THE SHIFTER. THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY JEEP FOR 6 DAYS. I PICKED UP MY JEEP TODAY AND AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 60-70 MILES THE MESSAGE SERVICE SHIFTER APPEARED FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AS I WAS DRIVING AND THEN DISAPPEARED. I AM EXTREMELY IRRITATED ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I INTEND TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW. I HAVE READ MANY OTHER COMMENTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH 2015, 2016, 2017 AND 2018 MODELS. A PROGRAMMING GLITCH WOULDN'T ALLOW AN UPDATE TIME TO BE CHOSEN.THE NOTICE CONTINUED TO BLOCK THE SCREEN MAKING IT UNUSABLE. ON 10-3-19, AN HR INTO A 5 HR TRIP, A NOTICE ON THE SCREEN SAID: URGENT UPDATED NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULED/COMPLETED W/IN 24 HOURS BUT, IN MEANTIME, "ESSENTIAL SERVICES" LIKE 911 & BLUETOOTH (& COUPLE OTHERS) AREN'T AVAILABLE. I TRIED TO SET A TIME BUT THE ORIGINAL SCREEN KEPT POPPING BACK UP. I COULD NOT CLEAR THE NOTICE FROM THE SCREEN AND IT BLOCKED BEING ABLE TO USE ANY OF THE SCREEN TABS. COULDN'T EVEN USE UC'S CALL-ASSIST BUTTON ON REARVIEW MIRROR. IN THE GLOVE BOX I FOUND AN ACTUAL # FOR UC & CALLED DIRECTLY. THE WOMAN, HELEN, SAID THERE'D BEEN A "GLITCH" IN THE PROGRAM, THAT I WAS "OUT OF LUCK," SHE WAS SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, THAT SHE HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS TRAVELING & IN SIMILAR PREDICAMENT. INITIALLY SHE SUGGESTED I PULLED OFF THE HWY TO ATTEMPT A SYSTEM RESET (AFTER WHICH THE HAZARD LIGHTS WOULDN'T SHUT OFF UNTIL AN EXTRA LONG HOLD OF THE HAZARD BUTTON). WHEN THE RESET DIDN'T WORK, SHE ADVISED THAT WHEN WE GET TO OUR DESTINATION (UNLESS WE FELT UNSAFE WE SHOULD STOP OUR TRIP THEN) TO BE OUT OF THE CAR FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR, TO PICK AN UPDATE TIME W/O ANY ZEROS (APPARENTLY THAT WAS THE "GLITCH") LIKE 11:17. THE CAR HAD TO BE LOCKED IN A CERTAIN PATTERN TO PUT IT IN "SLEEP" MODE. THE ACTUAL KEYS HAD TO BE AT LEAST 25 FEET AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. IF THIS ALL DIDN'T WORK WE'D HAVE TO FIND A DEALER BUT IT DID WORK OVERNIGHT. SO WE DROVE FOR 4 HOURS W/O NAVIGATION, BLUETOOTH OR 911. NOR DID WE HAVE RADIO ACCESS TO HEAR TRAFFIC OR WEATHER REPORTS ALONG OUR ROUTE. IT WAS VERY UNSETTLING TO BE DRIVING IN THE DARK WITHOUT ANY OF THE JEEP'S COMPUTER AVAILABLE.

ONE DAY WHEN LEAVING A BARBERSHOP MY WIFE TRIED TO START OUR JEEP AND IT WOULD NOT CRANK. IT WOULD TURN OVER, START FOR A SECOND THEN TURN OFF. AFTER SITTING FOR A WHILE LONGER IT STARTED UP AND DROVE FINE. THIS PAST SUNDAY WE WERE LEAVING A GAS STATION TO GET ON THE INTERSTATE AND IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION IT SHUT OFF. ALL ACCELERATION STOPPED AND THE JEEP WENT INTO PARK AND LEFT US STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. ONCE WE USED THE MANUAL PARK RELEASE AND GOT OUT OF THE INTERSECTION WE LET IT SIT FOR A LITTLE BIT. MY WIFE GOT IN THE DRIVER SEAT AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. WE THEN DROVE IT TO AN AUTO PARTS STORE AND HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSED AS THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. I SPOKE WITH A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THAT IS 'NOT A PART LISTED' IN THEIR PARTS CATALOG. THIS VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND MY PREGNANT WIFE COULD HAVE BEEN T-BONED IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE.

MY 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HAS AN EXPANSION VALVE LEAK, WHICH IS LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE (SINCE FCA DECIDED TO INSTALL THE EXPANSION VALVE IN THE CAR BEHIND THE DASHBOARD). THE LEAK IS A SERIOUS HEALTH RISK AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISK. THE SYSTEM ALSO MAKES A CONSTANT HUMMING NOISE SINCE ITS LOW ON FREON. I HAD IT FULLY RECHARGED AND IN A MATTER OF MONTHS ALL OF THE FREON LEAKED INTO MY CAR! THIS IS POISONOUS GAS LEAKING INTO PEOPLES VEHICLES!! I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY QUOTED ME UPWARDS OF $1,700 TO FIX THE ISSUE, WHICH BASED ON OTHER ONLINE POSTINGS BY JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OWNERS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE CAR. I HAVE ALSO RECENTLY UPDATED THE CAR'S UCONNECT SOFTWARE TO THE MOST RECENT VERSION RELEASED, AND NOW MY 911 PHONE OPTION AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM NO LONGER WORKS. MY UNDERSTAND IS THAT UCONNECT SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED TO USE 4G TECHNOLOGY, BUT MY 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HAS 2015 3G TECHNOLOGY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY FCA WOULD PUNISH THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS BY PUSHING THIS TYPE OF UPGRADE, IN THE PROCESS COMPLETELY MAKING THEIR CUSTOMERS NAVIGATION SYSTEMS USELESS. APPARENTLY THE PARTS ALONE ARE IN THE $1,000 + RANGE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE NAVIGATION UNIT. THE 911 PHONE OPTION SHOULD AT A MINIMUM BE A SAFETY REQUIREMENT, AND FCA PUSHING THEIR SOFTWARE UPGRADE COMPLETELY DISABLED THIS. I CALLED UCONNECT BUT THEY ARE OF NO HELP. I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME JEEP OWNER, PURCHASING DIFFERENT MODELS OVER THE YEAR, BUT I DON'T THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO BUY ANOTHER JEEP IF FCA CAN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

SINCE THE LAST RECALL FOR THE JEEP ECO DEISEL THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN RUNNING THE DEISEL EXHAUST REGENERATION AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK (8 TIMES IN 7 WEEKS SINCE THE RECALL UPDATE WAS PERFORMED). I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN, THEY PERFORMED A MANUAL REGENERATION AND THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, IT STARTED IT AGAIN A WEEK LATER. THIS MEANS I HAVE TO DRIVE MY CAR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR AT LEAST 10-15 MINUTES TO GET IT TO SHUT OFF (EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY REGENERATE THE FILTER) AND MY ENGINE IS OVERWORKING AND LAGGING. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM THAT SINCE THE RECALL EVERYONE WITH THE JEEP ECO DIESELS IS COMPLAINING OF.

I HAD NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT AND THERE WAS NO FORCE APPLIED TO THE HEADREST. I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX IT AS I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT VEHICLES AND DIDN'T WANT TO CAUSE ANY FURTHER DAMAGE. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO LOOKED OVER AT IT FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND STATED THE ENTIRE THING WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. HE DIDN'T GO AROUND TO GET A CLOSER LOOK OR ANYTHING- HE JUST STATED TO ME THAT BECAUSE OF THE WIRING THE ENTIRE UNIT NEEDED REPLACING-- HE THEN WENT INSIDE AND TOLD BE IT WOULD BE $800 SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT ON THE PART TO COME IN. I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT. I WENT HOME AND RESEARCHED THE ISSUE, STUMBLING ACROSS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE. I WAS UNABLE TO REST THE HEADREST, ASSUMINGELY MY PLASTIC PIECES HAD BROKE OFF AS WELL. I CALLED JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TO SUM IT UP, I WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER AND TOLD TO KEEP ALL OF MY RECEIPTS JUST IN CASE SOMETHING COMES UP LATER BUT SHE COULD NOT HELP ME ANY FURTHER. MY JEEP HAS ABOUT 81,000 AND HAS BEEN VERY WELL MAINTAINED. IT IS VERY CONCERNING THAT THIS ISSUE IS OCCURRING SO MUCH AND JEEP IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT TO ENSURE THE SAFETY NOR THE SATISFACTION OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

ENGINE REVVING BUT WE'RE BARELY MOVING. THERE WAS NOWHERE TO SAFELY PULLOVER AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF ANY OF THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE WORKING. I HAD TO MAKE A LADY TURN TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT THE JEEP WENT INTO NEUTRAL. I PUSHED IT BACK INTO DRIVE 3 TIMES BUT IT SWITCHES BACK TO NEUTRAL ON ITS OWN. THE CAR THEN SHUT COMPLETELY OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART. HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER SAID THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH VEHICLE. THEY CHECKED TRANSMISSION AND TEST DRIVE CAR.

JEEP WENT IN FOR SERVICE TO CORRECT THE RECALLED TRANSMISSION ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER ON SATURDAY, AUG. 6TH AT 12:30PM. PICKED UP CAR FROM FARRISH JEEP AT 5PM SAME DAY. AT 8PM ON THE SAME DAY, THE CAR WOULD NOT GO OUT OF PARK, THOUGH THE SHIFT LEVER WAS IN DRIVE WHILE IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE DASHBOARD DISPLAYED PARK, WHILE SHIFTER WAS IN DRIVE. EXACT THING HAPPENED WITH 2010 JEEP WRANGLER IN MAY, 2015 AND FARRISH CLAIMED TO FIX IT 3 TIMES IN 36 HOURS. IT HAD TO BE TOWED 3 TIMES BY THE DEALER, BECAUSE THE CAR ROLLED AWAY FROM MY TEENAGE DRIVER THE SAME DAY WE GOT IT BACK FROM FARRISH(IN A NEIGHBORHOOD) AFTER THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE FIXED IT. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN 36 HOURS.

I THOUGHT THE CAR WAS SAFELY PARKED AS I OPENED THE ELECTRIC HOUSE GATE AND EXITED THE CAR. I WANTED TO ENTER THE GATE FIRST, SO THAT I COULD SECURE THE DOGS. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE CAR STARTS ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. I TRY TO JUMP INTO THE CAR TO TRY TO STOP THE CAR, ONLY TO BE PINNED AGAINST THE DOOR AND THE CLOSING ELECTRIC GATE, I FALL. I GET BACK UP AGAIN TO TRY TO STOP THE CAR, AND I FALL AGAIN. THE CAR ENDS UP ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND ALMOST FULLY TIPPING OVER THE DRIVEWAY WALL. THE DRIVEWAY IS AN ELEVATED DRIVEWAY, THE CAR JUMPED OVER THE 4FT WALL. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, TWO WRECKERS WERE NEEDED TO SHIMMY THE CAR OFF THE DRIVEWAY WALL. ACCIDENT FREE RECORD FOR +20 YEARS. THE SHIFTER IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED, IN THIS CASE, IT LEFT A WORLD OF DAMAGE.

THE JEEP DID NOT STOP MOVING UNTIL SOMEONE JUMPED IN THE CAR AND HIT THE BRAKES. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE BEHIND THE JEEP WAS IN HIS CAR. HE WAS ABLE TO BACK UP BUT THE JEEP WAS MOVING FAST ENOUGH TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO HIS CAR. THE CAR APPEARED TO BE IN REVERSE, NOT JUST IN NEUTRAL. MY SISTER'S PATELLA WAS FRACTURED. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE VEHICLE STATING THAT PEOPLE ARE NOT AWARE THAT THE CAR IS NOT IN PARK WHEN THE VEHICLE IS EXITED. HOWEVER, THE JEEP WAS CLEARLY IN PARK BECAUSE WE WERE ABLE TO AUTOSTART THE VEHICLE USING THE KEYFOB.

ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AFTER WE BOUGHT OUT JEEP, AFTER SHIFTING THE GEAR LEVER THE JEEP WAS IN A GEAR OTHER THAN WHAT WAS SELECTED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WE WOULD SHIFT THE LEVER UPWARD TO PARK , PUSH THE OFF BUTTON, START TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD BEGIN TO ROLL. ON APRIL 6, 2016, MY HUSBAND PULLED INTO OUR GARAGE PUSHED THE GEAR SHIFTER UP INTO WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS PARK, PUSHED THE OFF SWITCH, RAISED THE BACK HATCH AND BEGAN TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. AS HE EXITED, THE JEEP ROLLED BACKWARDS STRIKING THE CEILING OF THE GARAGE DOOR AND DAMAGING THE TAILGATE. WE CONTACTED THE DEALER TO OBTAIN A NUMBER FOR CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE. WE CALLED AND SPOKE TO SOMEONE THERE. THEY ASSIGNED US A CASE NUMBER #29033851. A THIRD PARTY MET US AT THE DEALER TO GO OVER THE SYSTEMS ON THE VEHICLE. THE ESTIMATED DAMAGED IS $1,693.30. WE ALSO SENT S LETTER TO THE CEO OF CHRYSLER REGARDING THIS ISSUE WITH THE SHIFTER WITH NO RESPONSE. SINCE THEN WE HAVE HEARD THAT CHRYSLER WILL BE RECALLING MILLIONS OF THE 2015 GRAND CHEROKEES DUE TO THIS ISSUE. WE FINALLY RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER STATING THEY ARE NOT LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE INCIDENT WE HAD WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURING RESPONSIBILITY. WE DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN DO A MAJOR RECALL ON THE SAME ISSUE THAT CAUSED OUR INCIDENT.

SYSTEM PROVIDES FALSE LOCATIONS FOR ADDRESSES ENTERED. ADDRESSES ENTERED ARE PLOTTED AND DIRECTIONS ARE PROVIDED, UPON NEARING LOCATION SYSTEM CAN NO LONGER FIND LOCATION. IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH INFORMATION PROVIDED HAS ISSUES VEHICLE MUST BE PUT INTO MOTION. THE GPS/NAVIGATION IS PART OF THE UCONNECT SYSTEM WHICH HAS A WIDE VARIETY OF OPERATIONAL ISSUES INVOLVING ITS OTHER COMPONENTS. SAFETY HAZARD IS GETTING DRIVE LOST, ARRIVING IN UNSAFE AREAS AS WELL AS SENDING YOU ONTO UNSAFE ROADS/NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. MEMORY SEAT DOES NOT REPOSITION SEAT AND MIRRORS INTO THE PROGRAMED POSITIONS, EVEN WITH MEMORY SEAT MODULAR REPLACED WITH REDESIGNED MODULAR ISSUE REMAINS. I LEFT MY CAR IDLING , ON A FLAT SURFACE IN A PARKING LOT TO RUN INTO A BANK ATM. THE GEAR SHIFTER DID NOT LOCK INTO PARK EVEN THOUGH I PUSHED IT ALL THE WAY FORWARD TO THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE ROLLED INTO A PARKED CAR. THE TOTAL DAMAGE SUSTAINED BY THE OTHER CAR WAS $2100, AND $1000 ON MY JEEP GC. THIS SHIFTER IS NOT VERY INTUITIVE, IT IS A NEWER ELECTRONIC SHIFTER AND IS NOT GATED AS MOST ARE. IT DOES NOT GIVE THE DRIVER GOOD FEEL OR FEEDBACK THAT THE CAR IS IN THE APPROPRIATE GEAR. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FROM DAY ONE. IF I HAD BEEN POINTED TO THE STREET THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION! I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER TO LOOK AT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO ISSUE. CLEARLY THERE IS AN ISSUE. I NOW SEE THE NHSTA IS LOOKING INTO MORE THAN 300 INCIDENTS OF THIS ROLLAWAY ISSUE. THERE ARE PROBABLY MANY MANY MORE SINCE MOST PEOPLE HAVE NOT REPORTED IT. TWO HOURS AFTER ARRIVING HOME, I WAS AWAKEN TO FIND MY BRAND NEW 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ON FIRE, WHILE STATIONARY AND PARKED NEAR MY HOME. A FIREMAN STATED THAT IT APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO THE ENGINE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2015, REPLACING MY 2005 GRAND CHEROKEE. LESS THAN FOUR MONTHS OLD, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 4,000 MILES AND HAS NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS. AFTER GOOGLING POTENTIAL CAUSES, I DISCOVERED OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THI SAME MODEL, AS RECENT AS JANUARY 2016! THIS IS GRAVELY CONCERNING AND SHOULD RESULT IN FURTHER INVESTIGATION.

2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SHIFTER IS UNSAFE. MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST YEAR I HAVE MISTAKENLY PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE INSTEAD OF PARK. THIS IS VERY EASY TO DO. THE AUTOMATIC SHIFTER HAS NO DETENTS, BUT IS AN ELECTRIC SWITCH. WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES INTO REVERSE, THE ENGINE REMAINS RUNNING, AND IT IS POSSIBLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE THINKING IT IS IN PARK. JEEP HAS TAKEN THE STANCE SINCE THE DEALER FOUND NO COMPUTER ISSUES THEY ARE CORRECT AND THEREFORE THE SYSTEM MUST BE OPERATING PROPERLY. AT WITS END AT THIS POINT. IN TALKING TO OTHER JEEP OWNERS AND LOOKING AT JEEPS OWN PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS THIS SYSTEM SHOULD BE GIVING CONSTANT WARNINGS. NOT ONE WARNING IN 5000 MILES. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE SYSTEM DESIGNED TO HELP MITIGATE DAMAGE AND INJURY WILL NOT WORK IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. SWITCHES OUT OF GEAR, CAR WILL BE IN PARK AND SWITCH OUT AND MOVE ON ITS OWN. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, IT ALSO HAPPENED AT THE DEALER WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR AND HIT ANOTHER CAR. THE DEALER SAID SOMEONE TRY TO STEAL IT, BUT NOW IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN.

I HAVE A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND IT HAS ROLLED AWAY TWICE IN THE 7 MONTHS THAT I HAVE OWNED IT. THE FIRST TIME HAPPENED WHEN IT WAS DROVE UP ONTO A TOW TRUCK. AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE ON THE TRUCK THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND PLACED IN PARK BUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS NOT SET. THE DRIVER GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS IN THE PROCESSES OF ATTACHING SAFETY STRAPS WHEN THE VEHICLE MANAGED TO ROLL OFF OF THE TOW TRUCK AND DOWN THE DRIVE WAY. IT SEEMED ODD THAT THIS OCCURRED (WITNESSED BY BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I) AND WE BLEW OFF THE ENTIRE INCIDENT THINKING THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER DID SOMETHING WRONG. THAT WAS UNTIL RECENTLY, WHEN THE SECOND OCCURRENCE HAPPENED. MY JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS PARKED ON A SMALL AMOUNT OF ICE/SNOW IN THE DRIVEWAY. PRIOR TO LEAVING THE HOUSE, I WENT TO THE VEHICLE TO PLACE MY 3 MONTH OLD BABY INTO HIS CAR SEAT AND AS I WAS DOING SUCH THE VEHICLE JUST BEGAN TO ROLL. THE VEHICLE MANAGED TO ROLL ABOUT A FOOT AS THE DRIVEWAY HAS NO SLOPE TO IT. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE WAS NOT ON, AND IT WAS PLACED IN PARK. THERE WERE TWO OTHER PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WHOM ALSO WITNESS THIS EVENT (ONE BEING A MECHANIC) WHICH CAME OVER AND COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY JUST SAW. AFTER THIS OCCURRED I CONTACTED THE LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND IT WOULD NOT ROLL. I EXPLAINED THAT BOTH OCCURRENCES HAPPENED IN PARK THEN SHE INSTRUCTED ME TO GET AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY WOULD LOOK IT OVER. HAVING SAID THAT I SHOULD NOTE, OUR JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS PICKED UP FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ABOUT TWO HOURS PRIOR TO THE SECOND INCIDENT AND A "27 POINT PEACE OF MIND" INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED. WE WILL SEE WHAT COMES OF THE FUTURE APPOINTMENT. I JUST HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT DO THIS AGAIN, ESPECIALLY WITH MY BABY INSIDE.

AT 2:30 PM ON OCTOBER 30TH 2015 I PARKED IN A COMMERCIAL LOT. I LEFT THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO A STORE, WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE STORE I REALIZED THE CAR WAS "RUNNING". I OPENED THE DOOR AND REACHED AROUND THE STEERING WHEEL TO TURN THE CAR OFF BY PRESSING THE START/STOP BUTTON. I THINK PROCEEDED TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE TO GO TO ANOTHER STORE. WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE 2ND STORE I SAW MY CAR HAD ENGAGED INTO DRIVE AND MOVED OVER 50 FEET ACROSS THE PARTING LOT AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I GOT TO MY CAR I FOUND IT RUNNING AND IN "DRIVE". THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHOUT ANYONE IN THE CAR. THE CAR BASICALLY "RAN AWAY" WITHOUT ANYONE IN THE VEHICLE.

THE 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED COMES WITH PUSH BUTTON STARTING. WITH THE CAR LEFT RUNNING AND THE FOB KEY TAKEN AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE, THE CAR CONTINUES TO RUN FOR HOURS. IF IT IS NOT LOCKED, ANYONE CAN SIMPLY GET IN AND DRIVE IT AWAY TO UNLIMITED DISTANCES. IF SOMEONE PARKS THE CAR IN A GARAGE AND FORGETS TO TURN IT OFF, IT WILL RUN FOR HOURS, FILL THE GARAGE/HOUSE WITH CARBON MONOXIDE AND HAS ALREADY BEEN IDENTIFIED AS THE CAUSE OF 13 DEATHS IN THE US. THE PUSH BUTTON STARTING WAS A BAD IDEA. THE SIMPLE KEY, USED FOR DECADES, ALLOWED THE CAR TO BE STARTED, AND WHEN THE KEY WAS SHUT OFF AND REMOVED, THE CAR WAS SHUT DOWN. SIMPLE! IN MY OPINION THE PUSH BUTTON STARTING WAS A BAD IDEA AND NEEDS TO BE REVISED. IF THE FOB KEY LEAVES THE CAR, AND THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING, THE CAR ALARM SHOULD GO OFF, WARNING THE DRIVER THAT THE CAR NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN FIRST.

I PARKED MY CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY, LEFT THE CAR RUNNING. DID NOT ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE. I WALKED OUT OF THE CAR, INTO MY HOUSE TO PICK UP SOMETHING AND THEN RETURNED TO THE DRIVEWAY. MY CAR WAS NO LONGER IN THE DRIVEWAY, BUT WAS NOW ACROSS THE STREET AND IN MY NEIGHBORS YARD. IT APPARENTLY ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE IN PARK. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS MAY HAPPEN AGAIN AND CAUSE INJURY TO SOMEONE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU WANT ME TO PROCEED. ON AUGUST 15TH 2015, I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR A RECALL THAT I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL, ON THE LETTER IT STATES IT IS FOR ORC MODULE, SO I WENT INTO THE DEALERSHIP RAY BRANDT DODGE, JEEP ON WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY TO HAVE MY RECALL TAKEN CARE OF, WELL PRIOR TO BRINGING IN MY CAR I CALLED THEM TWICE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE MY CAR SERVICED, THEY INFORMED ME THAT I DID NOT NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT JUST TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE RECALL. I BROUGHT THAT CAR IN THE SATURDAY OF AUGUST 15TH TO BE INFORMED THAT I NEEDED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY WERE BACKED UP, I INFORMED THEM THAT I HAD CALLED TWICE TO MAKE SURE I GOT MY CAR TAKEN CARE OF AND GOT THIS RECALL ITEM TAKEN CARE OF, THEY COULD NOT SERVICE ME AND TOLD ME I HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT SO I LEFT WITH MY CAR NOT BEING SERVICED AND DRIVING MY VEHICLE WITH A KNOWN RECALL THAT I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR, ON AUGUST 27TH I HAD A CAR ACCIDENT, ,MY CAR IS STILL NOT BEEN SERVICED FOR THIS KNOWN RECALL CODE R05, AND NOW I HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT IN MY CAR WHICH HAS ME SHOOK SINCE I KNOW THAT THERE IS A ISSUE WITH MY CAR. AS THE OWNER OF A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE I FIND THAT THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER IS A PROBLEM AREA. IT IS DIFFICULT TO TELL WHERE THE SELECTOR IS WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE INDICATOR. YOU THINK IT IS IN DRIVE AND ITS IN NEUTRAL,AND YOU WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAKE A MOVE QUICKLY IN AN ACCIDENT SITUATION (LIKE THE WOMAN IN THE MERCEDES ML HIT BY A TRAIN IN NY). WORSE YOU THINK IT IS IN PARK AND YOU WANT TO GET OUT WITH THE ENGINE STILL RUNNING, SAY TO GET THE MAIL OUT OF MY MAIL BOX, ONLY TO FIND OUT IT IS REVERSE AND STARTS TO MOVE AS YOU GO TO GET OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE 2016 IS SUPPOSED TO FIX THIS, PERHAPS GOING BACK TO THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM WHICH IS DEFINITIVE. THAT FIX OUGHT TO BE RETROFITTED TO THE 2014 AND 2015 MODELS. OTHER THAN THIS ISSUE THE 2015 DIESEL GC IS ONE FANTASTIC VEHICLE.

SUNROOF SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY ON 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. SOUND OF LARGE CRACK THEN IT SHATTERED. TOOK IT TO CERTIFIED JEEP SERVICE PROVIDER (ANCIRA JEEP, SAN ANTONIO, TX) AND PAUL, THE SERVICE MANAGER, SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND SOMETHING MUST HAVE HIT IT. THERE'S NO WAY IT WOULD HAVE JUST EXPLODED. NOTHING HIT IT - IT SHATTERED DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT. I HAVE CALLED JEEP, WHO SAYS THEY MUST STAND BEHIND THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE DEALER AND IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE OR FAULTY PRODUCT ISSUE. IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX.

THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR. HAVE BEEN ONLY TWO WEEKS WITH ME. BACK DOOR DOES NOT OPEN MOST OF THE TIME. I BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME IS SOMETHING WITH THE PROGRAM, AND THEY FIXED IT, BUT BEFORE GETTING THE CAR OUTSIDE FROM THE DEALER IT DOES THE SAME FAILURE 3 MORE TIMES. IS THE SECOND CAR IN LESS THAN A MONTH, SINCE THE FIRST ONE I BUYED PRESENT FAILURES TOO. THE FIRST ONE WAS THE SAME MODEL AND STAR TO PRESENTS PROBLEMS TURNING ON. DEALER CHANGE IT SAYING THERE ARE SOME DAMAGES AND AFTER TWO WEEKS OF HAVING THIS NEW ONE, THE PROBLEM WITH THE BACK DOOR BEGAN. IT MAY OPEN ONE DAY AND THE OTHER NOT OR DURING THE DAY. DOES NOT OPEN TRAYING THE BEEPER, THE BOTTOM INSIDE THE CAR OR MANUALLY.
