Bolt connecting tension link to cradle snapped. We were on the highway at the time (approx 70 MPH) and vehicle became difficult to drive. These bolts are known to be susceptible to breaking and Jeep has reportedly upgraded these bolts on newer models.

I was slowing down behind a bus waiting for a kid to cross and my car just shut off out of nowhere and wouldn’t go out of park.

A few moments after I started my car and started to move the steering wheel became stiff and very hard to steer. I received warning messages on the dashboard telling me that the power steering was unavailable. There were also other warnings regarding blind spot and lane control systems.
