It sounds like the body of my car is detaching from the frame. Like my coil springs are loose or coming out.
There is no heat in truck. It has something to do with the 2 way control valve. When driving you cannot defrost the front window when it fogs up and sometime freezes. Very dangerous to drive since it is winter here in NJ. Brought up to dealer months ago. Trying to deal with it but hard to drive in cold. Said it wasn't under warranty but it started before warranty was up. I see this as a safety hazard and there should be a recall on these.
My Jeep hybrid is under an active safety recall with no available remedy. The manufacturer has instructed owners not to charge the hybrid battery system, which means the vehicle cannot be used as designed. I am continuing to make loan payments on a vehicle whose primary advertised functionality has been disabled due to a safety defect. I have contacted Jeep/Stellantis repeatedly through their recall assistance lines and have been transferred, disconnected, or told to call numbers that do not resolve the issue. No timeline or interim remedy has been provided. The vehicle is materially impaired, and the lack of a fix poses safety concerns and financial harm to owners. I am requesting NHTSA intervention due to the absence of any manufacturer solution or support.
This vehicle can create a fire. My home is at risk, other cars/structures parked near it, and people who drive the vehicle are at risk of fire. This is the 2nd time we have received notice of fire hazard for this make/model. The dealership is aware of the problems. check engine light stays on and nobody can figure out why. I cannot charge my car, park near anyone/anything, and constant fear of my car setting fire while driving it.
My family went on a weekend trip the day we left town the heat was working great. The next day we noticed that the heat was on but the air coming out of the vents was not as hot as the day before. We attempted to turn the heat off and back on still blowing warm to cool air. The heating system blows cool air at times. I took the vehicle into the dealer and they said the reason we didn't have heat was due to the electric battery needed to be charged. We could not understand why the car had to be charged in order to have heat. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer.
Unsafe, Defective Vehicle & Refusal to Remedy Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overlander VIN: [XXX] Purchase Date: [XXX] Dealership: Route 18 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, East Brunswick, NJ I purchased this vehicle new in June 2023. From the first weeks, it has displayed severe, life-threatening defects that make it unsafe and undriveable. Despite presenting it to seven authorized Jeep service stations and contacting both the dealership and Jeep/Stellantis repeatedly, no effective repair, replacement, or buyback has been provided. The SUV has just 1,000 miles yet has been out of service for over two years, resulting in substantial financial loss and hardship. Safety Defects HVAC/Defrost Failure: After 20–30 miles, the A/C stops cooling and blows only hot air. The blower often shuts off completely, fogging the windshield and reducing visibility to zero. Jeep has acknowledged this defect under NHTSA Recall 24V111 (Manufacturer Code 04B), but no remedy has been made available. HUD Mirror Glare: The Head-Up Display mirror is misaligned and reflects light from headlights, streetlights, and sunlight across the windshield, producing blinding glare and making safe driving impossible. Failed Remedy Attempts Seven Jeep service centers refused long test drives, logging less than 5 miles even though the HVAC issue occurs after 30–50 miles. Route 18 staff admitted seeing the HUD glare but told me to “tint the windshield.” Management was dismissive, and Jeep/Stellantis corporate has ignored all follow-ups for over two years. Impact and Remedy Requested I have paid tens of thousands in loans, insurance, towing, storage, and rentals for a vehicle I cannot safely drive. I request an immediate buyback or full refund, or replacement with a safe, defect-free vehicle, plus reimbursement of all related costs. This Jeep is unsafe and abandoned by dealer and manufacturer. Regulators must act now before more consumers are harmed. – [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552
Vehicle recall but manufacturer does not have a remedy and this is my only vehicle. My hybrid light came on and flashed off. Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 91,787 units of its 2022 to 2026 Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) due to a software error within the hybrid control processor that may result in a loss of drive power. An unexpected loss of propulsion could cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the safety of my Jeep. My vehicle has been to the Jeep dealership approximately five times for the recurring Service Hybrid System Error. Most recently, in August 2025, I received this error again along with a check engine light. Each time this error occurs, I notice that my Jeep drives differently, which raises concerns about its reliability and safety. At present, my Jeep has been at the dealership for approximately 25 days. The dealership has indicated that the issue is related to the 73C code. Despite repeated visits, the problem has not been permanently resolved. I am very concerned about my own safety, as well as the safety of others on the road, particularly because I have been informed that my Jeep is part of the 1% recall group. The ongoing malfunction makes me uneasy about driving the vehicle, and I strongly believe this presents a potential hazard. I respectfully request urgent attention to this matter and a clear resolution to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
I started with the 95B recall when car owners were instructed to not plug in their vehicles or park near any other structures for about 4 months until a fix was released. Then my car experienced multiple SERVICE HYBRID SYSYTEM errors. The car physically shut down on two separate occasions, both while I was transporting my child, putting us at extreme risk for an accident. It has been at the dealership since July 2025 with the mechanic receiving a DIGITAL CRASH CODE. His attempts to talk with someone at Jeep/Stelantis have gone unanswered. The vehicle is currently located at the Jeep dealership in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico and is available for inspection upon request.
In February I had the 95b recall completed and a short time afterwards started getting a service hybrid vehicle system light and even a check engine light at one point. One of those instances with the service hybrid vehicle system light my car just turned off while I was driving it with my children in the back seat and cars behind me. I lost all control of the steering and vehicles power except it switched to the accessory. I tried to restart but it would not. I had to come to a complete stop, place in park, turn off the accessory and then restart the vehicle. The vehicle was seen promptly following the incident where I was told to drive it on esave and they would try ordering a part that could possibly be a fix. While waiting for the part the vehicle was seen at another dealership that recommended not replacing that part that there was no issue with the vehicle and to drive it on e save or make sure the battery had a charge while driving in hybrid mode. Which is not a solution. Since then I have had several instances of the service hybrid vehicle system warning lights and that includes while driving it on e save which is gas only. Unfortunately the warning comes and goes quickly while driving so it’s not always easy to take a photo while driving although I do have a few to attach.
While driving, vehicle begins shifting down and jerking to stop. Emergency brake engages while driving.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED AND IT EXPLODED.
A known issue by jeep affecting many Grand Cherokee PHEV Hybrids, all following the 95 B recall. The recall repair 95 B is attributed to be causing Red Flag Dashboard Warnings to "service hybrid system". Dealer computer scans document these incidents as a "Digital Crash" of the vehicle's onboard computer. Multiple incidents for me have been transitory but for others, these digital crashes are causing engine shut downs on the highway -- see the attachments for 4 such cases downloaded from the Jeep website. Obviously crazy things can happen when a car's computer shuts down while driving -- no one knows if my next Digital Crash could shut down my engine when I am in a multi-car passing situation on a 2 lane highway at 70 MPH and yet that scenario is happening to others. I have seen 3 jeep dealers and have documentation on those digital scans for my vehicle-- Jeep is aware of the problem but they have no-fix. There are over 500 complaints on the public jeep 4xe website across multiple conversation threads of people having this exact problem. You can see from the attachment that the dealers are telling owners that the cars are 'unsafe to drive' because they do recognize that the next digital crash of the computer will be a fatal accident. None of these problems existed before that recall was available in January. Something in that NHTSA 95 B recall for the Grand Cherokee PHEV was defective and is causing these digital crashes -- jeep does not dispute that, at least from what I have been told. Jeep has to be required to do another recall to fix the earlier 95 B recall. It has been close to 6 months now without a fix and nothing is happening. It is probably a software fix, but it needs to be done and at this point it appears that they must be forced to do so by NHTSA. Please see the 4 attachments of what others have encountered. < on your below questions -- Multiple incidents, multiple dates, multiple speeds for me>
My 2023 Jeep GC Overland 4XE was at the Jeep service center for the same issue in a week. I get a Service throttle control warning, CEL, then every warning light on the dashboard lit up. It happened on my driveway the other day and I would not drive. I had Jeep roadside tow it to a Jeep service center. On 7/9/2025 I picked up the Jeep. Service tec said no open recalls, no software updates and the throttle body module was reprogrammed. A 14-mile test drive was done and the codes did not return. Shortly after pickup, while driving at 65 MPH on the thruway, I got the same error message, Service throttle control along with a check engine light and all warning lights again lit up. The Jeep displayed a reduced power warning, and many other warning but I didn’t have time to look at the dashboard. The vehicle slowed to a crawl in limp mode at 23 MPH, the steering became very heavy and slow to respond. I was able to quickly move over to the shoulder, and I was almost rear ended by a tracker trailer. I got off the thruway, shut the engine off, then back on and was able to get full power back. I immediately drove it to the dealership service center. This is NOT safe vehicle to be in and there are many other reports of this happening.
Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe Problem Description: While driving at highway speeds, the vehicle suddenly loses all propulsion and displays a message stating: “Put in Park Before Restarting.” This happens without warning, creating an immediate safety risk in traffic. The engine shuts down, and I am forced to stop in the middle of the road, shift to park, and manually restart the vehicle. This has occurred multiple times. The dealership and Jeep customer service acknowledges the issue but says no repair is available and has not resolved it. I’ve also been without a reliable vehicle since February 2025. I am aware of NHTSA complaints #11579877 and #11576290 describing identical problems in the same make/model/year. I believe this defect is related to the battery or hybrid powertrain system and poses a serious safety hazard to myself and others. I am also aware of NHTSA Recall 24V720000 related to battery issues, which may be linked to this sudden power loss. Symptoms: •Sudden loss of drive power •“Put in Park to Restart” message •Dash warnings (wrench/lightning bolt/hybrid system fault) •Must restart car to regain function Date problem began: [Feb 2025] Mileage: [17000] Vehicle still unrepaired and unsafe to drive.
While driving I received a pop-up message on the head unit advertising Sirius XM. I had to clear this pop-up message while driving in order to continue using my map. I need to be very clear that I was driving at speed with a navigation route set and the map was obstructed by an advertisement that I had to touch the screen with one hand left on the wheel to click a pop-up ad. This was not a message from any attached devices. This was a system message from the infotainment unit.
[XXX]...While driving the vehicle on the [XXX] the vehicle stopped and would not move...ALL systems failed. Warning lights, (flashers) would not work. Cause of failure was later determined to be a malfunction in the electrical system. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Monday 4/28, as i was driving at approx. 35-38 mph the vehicle came to an abrupt and hard stop, like someone just pounded on the brakes, the engine ceased running. A large red wrench looking icon and something about the battery flashed very quickly on the screen. After a matter of time (please note this was very frightening,, and am unsure of the elapsed time) the car restarted and I continued very slowly to a corner where I could pull off the road and contact the dealership. At the rate of speed I was traveling I was forcefully slammed into the steering wheel, there were cars behind me and in the adjacent lane. My dog in the rear compartment and in her kennel was also forcefully thrown. This vehicle has had on going battery issues and many others as well. This is not the first report I have filed. Vehicle has been at the dealership for one week, I had to insist upon a loaner which they could not provide. Jeep has a program for a comparable vehicle which they set up and which has not provided a comparable auto. I have had no word from the dealership as to repair and issue found. The ongoing safety issues with this vehicle and it's battery system are totoally unacceptable for me. The jeep has spent 3.5 months from 10/14-mid 01/15 parked due to fire or explosion possibility. It has been in the shop repeatedly for up to two weeks at a time with heating and cooling issues. This latest is just another in a long stream of problems unaddressed proprerly by the Jeep corporation. As the vehicle is still in the shop at the dealership I have no items to download at this time.
While idling (vehicle running in electric mode) in park, for approximately 10 minutes we attempted to put the car in drive. The vehicle acted as if it needed to be turned on, displaying the message "Press Brake and Push Button to Start" while also displaying a red battery light. Different warning messages came up showing Traffic Sign Assist Unavailable and others. We could not turn the vehicle off even with holding down the start/stop button, were unable to shift the vehicle either. Finally after ten minutes of pressing the start/stop button the vehicle finally shut off and we were able to restart it with no issues. The next week as I was driving, I would randomly get a warning light with a red wrench and a message that said Service Hybrid System. Both instances have happen two additional times. The vehicle is now sitting at the dealership and they are unable to diagnose the problem. This all has occurred after the 95B recall work was completed. This is a safety issue as the vehicle will not shut off and won't shift. So if the vehicle is parked inside of a garage and idles and then doesn't shut off that will lead to carbon monoxide leaking into the houses. Or being stranded somewhere unable to move your vehicle.
Rear tailgate will periodically just close. When this occurs, it is just after reaching full open. At times it takes extreme force to halt it in its travels. I have brought it to the Jeep dealer but it did not repeat while they were checking it, so they said there is nothing that can be done. I am reporting this in event it is more wide spread, as I picture a child getting hurt by this (needless to say, I do not let my grandchildren near this!)
UCONNECT SCREEN BLANKS OUT AND GOES OFF SOMETIMES PREVENTING BACK UP CAMERA FROM GOING ON. THE SYSTEM RESETS AND COMES BACK SOMETIMES ON IT'S OWN OTHER TIMES RESET PROCEDURE NEEDS TO BE DONE. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE DEALER ON MANY OCCASSIONS IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF. THEIR ANSWER I ALWAYS THE SAME JEEP IS AWARE OF IT AND WORKING ON IT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN BACK UP CAMERA DOESN'T SHOW ON SCREEN AND SHOULD BE REMEDIED. THIS HAS HAPPENED APPROX 15 TIMES SINCE MY LEASE STARTED.
The software controlling the driver information system on this vehicle is continually having issues. Randomly, the system will stop working with system rebooting while driving. Normal features like hands free phone calls and navigation will stop responding. This leads to driver confusion and takes attention away from driving the vehicle. Also randomly, chimes will bong with no indication of what is happening on the dash or vehicle display. Attempts have been made for an "over the air" software update via Wi-Fi per the owner's manual, but the owner's manual doesn't accurately describe the navigation and software options of the system (menus incorrect, options are non-existent, etc). This car can be frightening when it suddenly acts up in traffic and there is no indication as to what is happening. This has all randomly happened since the car was new and continues to happen. The date below is just an arbitrary date since it happens consistently since new. This has occurred at any speed or mileage.
Started vehicle and had no power steering. Tried multiple times starting the vehicle, no luck. Came back after 45 minutes and tried again and the vehicle was fine.
No warning lights have come on. Two different dealerships have worked on this car 10 different times over the course of a year. In November, 2023 I sent a certified letter to jeep with my concerns and I also contacted Chrysler board of arbitration by phone (# given to me by Ohio Attorney Generals office) on 12/1/23, 12/4/23, 12/5/23 and left messages each time. I never received a call back about my messages so I got an attorney in December 2023 for the rattling noise my car has made almost the entire time ive had it. -Bought in May, 2023 -Heard the noise and put it in the shop for a pre-vacation inspection to fix what was going on before me, my 2 small kids, and my husband drove to Florida. Seemed weird to have such a new car in the shop already with noise safety concerns. -Been back and forth to dealerships more times than I should have to...a couple times theyve had my car for 3 weeks at a time. Everytime I have to unload/load carseats when i drop off and then unload/load back up when i get my car only to find it hasnt been fixed. -My attorney acts like he is at the complete mercy of the manufacturer for a resolution and this lemon case has gone on for 9 months now. -i need a safe, reliable car and for this process to be resolved in a more timely matter. I am currently at a Jeep dealership now becasue again, I will be traveling this weekend with my kids in the car even though I am uneasy about doing so but I cant stop living but it seems unfair and like no one cares that we are driving around in a car that no one can fix or that I paid a lot of money for a reallllly noisey car that I have to take back and forth to the shop a million times and worry and stress about if it going to cause a crash while im driving down the highway.
We were in a serious car accident. We were T-boned and rolled two or three times. We had to be pulled from the upside down Grand Cherokee. Our complaint is the fuel fill line broke and poured 23 gallons of raw gasoline into the car. My husband was overcome by the gas and and to be revived twice. I had blacked out due to the force of the air bags. We were okay with now, we were removed before the car exploded. The gas should have never entered the cabin!!! If our experience could help someone else we would be relieved.
Vehicle has a system to diagnose if the connected trailer has an inoperative bulb. The system is incorrectly assessing that the Thule Epos bike racks break lights and turn signal lamps are working, resulting in constant driver distractions from the warning lights. Every brake or turn the system beeps and illuminates warning lights when in fact there is no problems with the lights. Jeep refuses to address the issue as the bike rack is a "third party" accessory and Thule says their system is working so it's a Jeep issue. Warning system is a nuisance causing distractions while driving.
On 7/9/24 I was driving on the highway and jeep began to lose power and speed. I was unable to accelerate to maintain speed or safely pull to the shoulder. Jeep completely lost power and stopped in the middle of the highway and I had to wait with hazards until I could successfully turn on the car and drive again. This exact thing happened again today on 7/16/24 it was very dangerous and scary especially since I was almost rear ended.
STELLANTIS CASE # 90177098 TRAVELERS INSURANCE CASE # I4V3783 Without warning, the wheel collapsed and the vehicle rolled. Two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The Jeep was a total loss with driver injuries and alleged injuries from an individual in another vehicle involved in the accident. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION BY INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES, PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS ENGAGED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY, OWNER COUNSEL, AND NOW INVESTIGATORS BY STELLANTIS HAVE BEEN ENGAGED. SUSPECTED CAUSATION: 24V-132
Yes I got this in sept 2023 it’s had 3 recall sense then and now it’s got be back in shop for 3 days for valves bad and can mess engine up I’m paying too much money to keep having issues
The radio, which included hands free calling, has been having issues of locking up, connecting calls but the caller not being able to hear the person in the vehicle. In order to correct the issue it requires the driver to reset the radio. This involved multiple choices on the interface to get to the radio reset option. This causes a major safety concern if done while driving. I have taken the vehicle to the service department at the dealer 4 times and been provided a Star Online Publication (S238A000026 Rev. A) dated October 2023 which states "Intermittent radio concerns will be corrected in the 4th Quarter radio software enhancement, updates over the air." I is now the 2nd quarter of 2024 and the issues have not been corrected and this Star Online Publication has not been updated.
Was driving down the road and my sunroof shattered and glass fell in to my car and cut me, no rocks hit my car and I was not near any other vehicles
The problem happens intermittently and not all the time. I will be driving on the highway or in the city and sometimes when I barely touch the gas pedal my car will accelerate at high speeds, and the RPM gauge will go all the way into the seven mark and it Turns red and it starts beeping and the only way to get that off is for me to let off the gas pedal and come to a stop and then shift it from drive to park and then that’ll usually fix the problem. And other times when I’m on the highway. I will barely touch the gas pedal and it’ll accelerate at high speeds and I’ll have to go from the gas pedal to having to slam my brakes on to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me. A friend of mine who had driven my vehicle, called me and asked me if I noticed that it was doing that as well and I explained to her that I I was aware. I have not taken it to the dealership yet for that problem yet however, I do have an appointment made. I’m just waiting on them to find me a loaner vehicle that will seat my six person family because I cannot drive a different vehicle that does not fit my whole family .
On 03/24/2023 at 1:30pm I was driving to work on the local streets when multiple warning lights came up on the dashboard.I immediately pulled over on the side of the road to see what was the problem.I decided to look under the hood and noticed the coolant reservoir was empty.I continued checking the engine compartment and noticed one of the hose that leads to the radiator had become disconnected. This was a dangerous situation because if I was on the highway,I probably would not have been able to pull over immediately and the vehicle might have shut down on the highway which could’ve resulted in an accident.I contacted my local Jeep dealer on 03/25/2024 and explained to them what happened. The earliest appointment I was given to have the vehicle inspected was 03/28/2023.
I was driving on a major interstate and my car suddenly stopped shifting the gears to allow for faster speed. RPM's were going up to 6 and 7 and the fastest I could go was 30mph. I confirmed my vehicle was only in Drive, and was not in a "sport mode that allows for manua shifting". Was able to safely get off the interstate and pull over, This could have caused a accident. Shut down vehicle and restarted and then performed correctly. Called dealership and they stated they wouldn't be able to get me in for 3 weeks and if the vehicle is now not doing it and issue can not be duplicated there wouldn't be anything they can do.
I have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve. I acquired it in February of last year. I feel my vehicle is not performing according to specifications. I’ve taken it in for service numerous times. The sales manager test drove it with my husband and acknowledged there is something causing it to vibrate at certain speeds. The service manager test drove it with my husband and also acknowledged there is something causing it to vibrate at certain speeds. Jeep agreed to have a technician look at it and we asked if we could be present to drive it with the tech and were told yes. The Jeep technician was dispatched, in the middle of the night, to test drive it and reported there was nothing wrong with it and my case was closed. We were not even given the chance to drive with the tech or discuss the situation. I also experience what I call “lag braking”. I will press the brake pedal and it feels like it’s going to come to a stop and then just before you stop it gives way and I have to press it harder, really put my foot into it. This doesn’t happen all the time just randomly. Additionally, the passenger side folding mirror has been damaged since day one. They say they have replaced it 2 or 3 times and it still rubs the plastic so there are marks on the mirror arm when it is closed. I was told there is nothing they can do about it..... I have had two other Jeep Grand Cherokees with retractable mirror and neither one of them had that happen, ever. I’ve been on several Jeep forums and have read numerous posts about the same or similar incidents. I’m wondering if someone from NHTSA would be willing to drive it and report back to Jeep and to the public about their findings. It’s a shame that I’m driving one of their top of the line SUVs that makes me nauseous and dizzy when I drive it. Thanks in advance for your support.
My on board screen for everything the car does shuts down completely very often and if it is not shut down it goes black screen for a few seconds and then returns. This is not acceptable to me as I lose my navigation which I depend on a lot
Driver Display goes out every couple days (or when it feels like it) Display goes blank and you must stop and turn off car to get it back on. All controls, as camera, gps, handsfree calls are not operational when the display goes into a reboot mode and then blank, under you pull over and shut the car off, turn it back on and then it's back to normal. Sometimes it just reboots while driving of no reason while on a call, following directions using GPS etc. Safety concern since while driving driver (myself) while alone in car will try to get back working if I'm on a call or following the GPS. I know it's my fault for doing so while driving but under certain circumstances it human nature to try getting it all working again when you're lost or in a area you're not familiar with and could cause a major accident or put my life or someone else's in danger trying to fix it while driving. Most times is works normal for like a week or two, then its starts over. Deal told me it's nothing they can fix since many may have the same issues and it's a software problem that only comes from over the air waves. Well, Jeep keeps telling there's a update coming every quarter and when that quarter comes and I still have issues they tell me "oh there's another update coming in the beginning of the next quarter etc... Been told this 3 times now, and the latest now is there's a update coming in the 1st quarter of 2024 to correct that issue
Front panel of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with no visible causes, warnings, etc. Safety risks included potential glass being introduced to the cab of the vehicle had the headliner panel been open for natural lighting. Other risks include damaged headliner and electrical components depending on where the glass traveled. Dealership claims this is not an ongoing issue though multiple forums talk about this happening as well for the same style vehicle. We will be dropping car off at the dealership for evaluation as the car is covered under bumper to bumper warranty.
When turning the vehicle to the left there is a rubbing noise that comes from the front end.
Faulty rear camera. After 2 days that I bought the car, whenever I put reverse mode, a blue screen comes up saying “camera system unavailable”. Rear camera won’t work. It works sometimes and sometimes the blue screen comes up, even after resetting the screen.
There is extreme vibration in this vehicle and it gets worse daily. I believe there is something terribly wrong with this Jeep and it's not due to poor alignment. I also experience very hard / stiff bounce back when on bumpy roads. Something that should not be so bad with this type of Jeep. I recently met a woman with a 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve who said she is experiencing the same exact things. I don't think this is a coincidence.
The spring coil has been recalled. Took vehicle to interstate dodge in West Monroe, LA and they stated they are only allowed to order one coil at a time per week, so it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts. I need both coils replaced. This is unacceptable and puts me in danger every day I have to drive it to work or store. I’m suppose to drive 9 hours away in 3 weeks to take care of my elderly parents.
I bought this Jeep on Sept 2022 and by April my Jeep was already asking me for an oil change. I purchased a lease with 15 miles and in April 07 2023 for my first oil change. I went in to the dealer with 2,807 miles. Now I am noticing from April 7 until todays date I am already at a 25% oil life with a 4,376 miles. It has only been 3 months. I believe there is a default with my oil tank.
Airbag requiring service light came on at 100 miles. Then the SOS call button was stuck lit up with an error message on the touch screen every time vehicle was started. Then the AEB system went off while driving (not in danger of being in a crash) and brought the vehicle to a stop and put itself in Park and shut off. Vehicle would not start again after that. Had to get it towed
Our 2023 jeep grand Cherokee was recall due to the coil springs. I was in the shop being repaired for two weeks. They called us and told us that the problem was taken care of and it was repaired and ready. 20 minutes after we picked it up the coil spring flew off the car as well as other parts almost causing us to get into an accident. The parts flew out and behind us and then into traffic behind us causing other cars to swerve out of the way. Again, this occurred after they said, they fixed the very doing/coil that came out of our car. Very dangerous. We hv pictures of our son with the parts in his hand after looking and then grabbing them from side of road . We left the parts with hero dealership We hope they don’t try to re use them
Sunroof glass exploded while driving. Nothing hit the sunroof
Sunroof exploded while driving on highway. Nothing hit glass just exploded up and out. Glass everywhere
Distracting pop up advertisements for Sirius XM keep popping up on my info screen with no clear way to disable. Dangerous distraction.
Passenger Window Cracked in between glass (not from rock)....could be a defect in original glass used or from heat. but either way, would be especially dangerous if one day the glass would suddenly give way and break (or violently burst) onto my passenger! It was first one. 800 miles Now three separate...I called and sent pictures to dealership with no response. Only 1400 miles on vehicle. I have pictures
The front and rear parking cameras are inoperable and infrequently randomly operate. Dealer performed a proxy reconfiguration and reset the park assist module. System worked briefly then reverted back to original unoperative condition. Assigned star case S2208000172 claiming manufacturer is “investigating” and that no repair is available. A software update was supposed to correct the issue. It did not. We’ve had the vehicle since March 1. When we asked about replacing the park assist module we where to we needed to wait for another software update, the timing of which is unknown as there is no fix.
Backup camera not working 80% of time. Dealership has determined a software issue to be fixed within 4 months. Brand new with less than 500 miles. Vehicle is large and somewhat unsafe to operate until repaired.
