MISFIRERS REPLACED ENGINE ONE YEAR LATER SAME PROBLEM MISFIRES TOOK TO MECHANIC REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND COILS . DROVE 30 MILE. S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING, PULLED OVER TURNED ENGINE OFF.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT SOLID FOR ANOTHER 10 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AGAIN. I HAD TO PULL OVER 30 TIMES TO MAKE IT HOME. TOOK BACK TO MECHANIC REPLACED FUEL PUMP. STILL MISFIRE. THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH JEEPS . PLEASE RECALL .I HAVE PAIDED SO MUCH MONEY IN REPAIRS. STILL NOT FIXED.

WHILE DRIVING TO A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT ON A CITY STREET, THE STRAPS THAT HOLD THE FUEL TANK ON FAILED DUE TO CORROSION AND THE FUEL TANK FELL TO THE GROUND, DRAGGING FOR A SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE THE TANK FAILED, SPILLING ABOUT 18 GALLONS OF GASOLINE ONTO THE ROADWAY.

HELLO, OUR JEEP OFTEN OR ALWAYS HAD THE AIRBAG LIGHT WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD. THIS WAS A CONCERN OF OURS, AND WE HAD HEARD AWHILE BACK THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON JEEP LIBERTYS AIRBAG. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TAKE IT IN FOR THE RECALL FIX, THE COMPANY WANTED AN AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT WE COULDN'T AFFORD. RECENTLY MY MOM WAS IN A CAR WRECK, DESTROYING THE VEHICLES ENTIRE FRONT AND MAKING IT UNUSABLE. SHE TOLD ME SHE ONLY RECEIVED BURNS AND THAT SHE PROBABLY WOULDV'E BEEN OK IF THE DAMAGED AIRBAGS WERE FIXED. SHE MENTIONED TO ME SHE RECEIVED BURNS ON HER ARMS THAT WERE THE FAULT OF THE BAD AIRBAGS THAT WERENT ANY GOOD. SHE WOULD BE WILLING TO EXPLAIN THIS BETTER THAN I CAN SINCE I ONLY KNOW THAT MUCH. HER HAND THIS MORNING IS NOW SWOLLEN FROM THE INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS IN A HEAD ON CAR COLLISION WITH ANOTHER PERSON SET TO ENTER THE FREEWAY ON A CITY STREET

MY 2003 JEEP LIBERTY WAS RECALLED IN 2015 BECAUSE OF AN EXPLODING GAS TANK PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP BUT THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, SAYING THAT RUST ON THE THREADS OF THE FRAME MOUNTING HOLES PREVENTED THEM FROM MOUNTING A HITCH TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD THREAD A BIGGER HOLE, USE A BOLT AND NUT,OR JUST WELD THE NEEDED REPAIR PART ON - THEY REFUSED. I JUST THIS DAY TOOK MY JEEP TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A DIFFERENT RECALL REPAIRED SO I ASKED THEM TO CHECK CHRYSLER - JEEP RECORDS ON MY JEEP AND THEY HAVE IT LISTED AS SATISFIED FOR THE EXPLODING PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT TRUE, THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT EVEN AFTER SEVERAL E-MAILS TO THEM. NOW I SEE THAT THERE ARE STILL PROBLEMS WITH THE JEEPS EXPLODING EVEN AFTER REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT MAKING THIS COMPANY DO A PROPER REPAIR ON MY JEEP?

YEARS LATER, WHILE TURNING RIGHT INTO A PARKING LOT, THE LOWER BALL JOINT FRACTURED ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. AIRY, MARYLAND. WHEN I INQUIRE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED NOTICES BY MAIL INSTRUCTING FOR RECALL REPAIRS I AM BEING IGNORED FOR SERVICE. CENTURY JEEP PLACED ME ON A CALL-BACK LIST, BUT I WAS NEVER CONTACTED. WHEN I CALLED AFTER 4-5 MONTHS I WAS TOLD I AM STILL ON THE WAITING LIST. A YEAR HAS GONE BY WITH NO FURTHER CONTACT. TOOK JEEP TO AL SERRA GRAND BLANC MI TO INSTALL TRAILER HITCH PER RECALL - SAID THEY COULD NOT INSTALL DUE TO RUST - YET JEEP HAS LISTED RECALL REPAIR AS COMPLETED EVEN THOUGH NO INSTALLATION WAS DONE. THE DEALER STATED THEN THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE NOT ABE TO BE COMPLETED BECAUSE THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME THE CONTACT WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 12V527000 (AIR BAGS), 13V252000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, STRUCTURE) AND 15V046000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT WENT TO A SECOND DEALER AND THEY ALSO WERE NOT ABLE TO SUPPLY THE PART FOR THE THREE RECALL REPAIRS. WHILE PARKING IN THE GARAGE, THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING BEFORE THE CONTACT OPENED THE DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PUT BOTH ARMS UP AND THE FORCE OF THE AIR BAG IMPACTED THE CONTACT'S ARMS WITH BURNS AND PAINS IN THE SHOULDERS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION DUE TO THE MINOR INJURIES FROM THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A WHITE SMOKE SUBSTANCE THAT EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATOR WAS SENT TO INVESTIGATE THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR LONGER THAN A MONTH DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE CONTACT WAS STILL WAITING ON INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER ON A REMEDY TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

WHEN GETTING GAS, THE OVERFLOW DID NOT REGISTER AND A BUNCH OF GAS SPILLED OUT EVERYWHERE. ABOUT A WEEK AGO, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ERROR CODE LISTED THE EVAP LEAK WHICH INCLUDES GAS FUMES LEAKING OUT. TURNED LEFT OUT OF THE DOCTORS OFFICE, DROVE APPROXIMATELY 50 YARDS AND ATTEMPTED TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN (MAKING A RIGHT). THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE, HOWEVER, BEGAN ACCELERATING AND DESPITE APPLYING EXTREME PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE, CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD WHILE THE ENGINE ACCELERATED FASTER. I ULTIMATELY ENDED UP THROWING IT INTO PARK AND THEN TURNING OFF THE IGNITION TO KILL THE ACCELERATING ENGINE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE RPM WAS, BUT IT WAS LOUD! THIS ALSO HAPPENED 2 WEEKS AGO (FIRST TIME - VERY COLD MORNING) AND I ENDED UP THROWING IT INTO PARK AND TURNING OFF THE KEY LIKE TODAY. TODAYS TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 40 DEGREES. FYI - I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND HAD SLIGHTLY TURNED THE WHEEL. AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT, I BEGAN DOUBTING THAT THIS HAD EVEN HAPPENED. THE SUPPORT STRAPS FOR THE FUEL TANK FAILED SUDDENLY AFTER MAKING A LEFT TURN. THE FUEL TANK CONTACTED THE ROAD SURFACE FOR A SHORT TIME (1 MINUTE) BEFORE THE VEHICLE COULD BE STOPPED. THE REAR CORNER OF THE TANK (PASSENGER SIDE) WAS DAMAGED TO THE POINT THAT FUEL LEAKED FROM THE TANK. BOTH SUPPORT STRAPS WERE BROKEN AFTER THE INCIDENT. THE TANK WAS APPROXIMATELY 1/4 FULL PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. BOTH OF THE SUPPORT STRAPS FAILED NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE FUEL TANK. THE REMAINING PIECES OF THE SUPPORT STRAPS WERE STILL FASTENED TO THE FRAME AND THE FASTENERS WERE STILL IN PLACE AFTER THE INCIDENT. BOTH SUPPORT STRAPS WERE SEVERELY RUSTED.
