This Problem Across All Years
MY DAUGHTER'S JEEP HAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY DUE TO THE RUST AND HOLES IN THE JEEP'S CROSSMEMBERS. THE GAVE ME AS REFERENCE X58. SHE NEEDS THEM REPLACED AS THERE ARE LARGE HOLES IN THEM, BUT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD HER IF THEY COULDN'T GET IT OFF THEY WOULD HAVE TO CUT OTHER PARTS AND SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE PARTS AND LABOR (APPROXIMATELY $400) WHICH THE DEALERSHIP SAID IS TYPICAL. I'VE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AT JEEP AND THEY SAID SHE WOULD FIRST HAVE TO HAVE THE WORK DONE AND THEN IF THERE WAS A CHARGE THEY WOULD "CONSIDER" HELPING. SO SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR FIRST. THIS HARDLY SEEMS RIGHT. IS THERE ANY RECOURSE?

TIRES ARE WORN; HAVE ALWAYS PULLED TO THE SIDE. SHIFTING IS HORRIBLE; SLIPS INTO OTHER GEARS. THIS SUV IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE JEEP IS A DANGER, UNSAFE, AND SHOULD BE OFF THE MARKET. IN 2007 THE PATRIOT WAS NOT POPULAR. THE ECONOMY HAS LED PEOPLE TO PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE, MY GUESS IS THAT MORE COMPLAINTS WILL BE FILED WHEN THEIR JEEPS REACH TWO YEARS OLD. *TR

WHEN SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL OCCURS, THE WELL FOR THE SPARE TIRE HAS FILLED WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF WATER. THIS HAS CREATED A SITUATION FOR MOLD TO GROW, A MILDEWY SMELL, AND I HAVE CONCERN ABOUT THE WATER IN THE LAMP. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP AFTER FIRST OCCURANCE AND WAS "FIXED", BUT DURING THE NEXT STORM, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. IT'S CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AWAITING REPAIR FOR THE SECOND TIME.
