THE MECHANIC WAS NOT SURPRISED BECAUSE OF THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE JEEP PATRIOT. SAID IT IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE FOR THESE TO GO OUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRES. THIS JEEP IS SUPPOSED TO BE "TRAIL RATED" WITH THE OFF ROAD PACKAGE, BUT I DON'T EVEN FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT ON CITY ROADS AND HAVEN'T SINCE I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THESE PART BY PART DUE TO THE FACT OF THE HIGH COST AND THAT THE VALUE STILL HOLDS UP ON JEEPS SO I MAKE MONTHLY FINANCE PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED.
