I purchased in 2015 (Jeep Renegade). The dealership promised a “lifetime warranty” for the duration of my ownership, but despite repeated service visits over the past 10 years for persistent electrical problems, they have refused to honor this warranty. It has come to my recent attention that the two major reasons jeep has stopped making the Renegade was due to electrical and engine issues. Both issues with my car never told to me, and games are being played. Key points: I have complete documentation: purchase receipts, service records, text messages, and emails confirming the warranty and the repeated service attempts. The dealership now claims they have no record of my purchase. I was assured by a service representative that the issues were covered under warranty so I brought it there time and time again. The last time I brought it in the representative was working on it under warranty, but the representative was later terminated while still working to resolve the problem. These service manager, Keri has played games to avoid repairs and has even tried to tell me that I didnt buy my car there when I have proof I did. She said my receipts mean nothing and aren't proof. Its been a non stop headache for almost 10 years when all they had to do was be honest from the beginning. This car has had these problems on and off since 2017 and caused the dealer to have to replace the engine due to this parasitic draw. Each time pretending to fix it and not doing so. These issues have caused significant inconvenience, expenses, and emotional stress over a decade. I would like to explore: Enforcing the lifetime warranty and having the electrical issues properly fixed free of charge Pursuing remedies under Tennessee’s consumer protection laws for unfair or deceptive trade practices. Discussing compensation for damages resulting from the dealership’s repeated failures to repair the vehicle. I am fully prepared to provide all documentation, a detailed timeline of events
When I was driving and stopped at a red light, my Jeep automatically shut off. It had the steering wheel warning and air bag warning pop up. I had a message that told me to put my vehicle in Park when I tried to start it back up. I placed it in park and started up the Jeep again. It came back on, but the warning lights remained on. Once I made it home, I safely turned my vehicle off and then restarted it. Once I restarted it, those warnings were no longer on.
I was driving my vehicle and all of the sudden it just turned off and said vehicle shift to P to select gear, and I kept pressing the gas and it wouldn’t move , I have nothing on my dash no lights or anything.

The contact stated that the vehicle had been inoperable for two months since the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The backup safety camera screen that is also used for the radio and Bluetooth intermittently goes black which disconnects any calls, and doesn’t display the backup safety camera.
In January 2023 and April 2023, a recalled was serviced on. The recall of W80 Oil Consumption Inspection. Was performed twice. So many times I have put the 2015 Jeep Renegade in the service shop countless times. I was in the shop for over a month the oil pressure light comes on every 5 to 30 seconds. I have taken it to another service shop however, they suggest I take it back to the original service shop who original service the Jeep.
Touch screen radio/back up camera screen blacking out and malfunctioning
While driving in a snowstorm, with 4 wheel drive engaged, the vehicle started swerving, and fish tailing. I was in town and going slow(20 mph). The dash flashed some messages, and the default kicked in so front wheel drive resumed and stability also. The main message was ESC-Emergency Stability Control, plus two others. I called a mechanic in the morning, who suggested the computer might reset. I turned the vehicle on, but the message stayed. I decided to go to the mechanic’s shop, but after two left turns I heard a “growling” sound and the computer did reset. It has been okay since.
Car randomly stalls in park, when reversing, when in drive but brake is being applied, or when first accelerating after putting into drive. Several times now it has stalled when I'm at stop lights. One time it stalled after just tapping the brake while approaching a stop light. That was terrifying because the car was still in motion. Also, car randomly jerks hard when shifting gears. Recently, car doesn't want to shift while accelerating up hills, and RPM's can get up to 4.5 or 5. No engine light or other warnings lights ever come on. I have brought it to my mechanic two times now about the hard shifting and stalling.Have another appointment this week. They can't figure out what's causing it. Nor can they replicate the problem. This can happen a few times a day, then go weeks without an issue. I've seen the same problems from dozens of people on Jeep forums for 2015 -2017 models. No one had a solution, while seemingly getting brushed off by the dealerships about it.
2015 Jeep Renegade vehicle's horn stopped working/malfunctioned. The clockspring in the steering column control needs to be replaced, along with a battery transmitter, and an air bag that is in the steering column. A Jeep service confirmed the problem and is ordering parts at this time. The parts cost $1,802.31, not including labor. Not having a horn to use puts myself and others at risk while driving, especially in high-traffic areas. The manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others, have not inspected the vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages. The horn completing stopped working about three weeks ago.
My vehicle recently started showing warning/service lights for no reason; airbag, power steering, park lights, coolant, check engine etc. My engine would also keeps running even after removing the keys.. My battery would also be dead the next day (new battery) if battery is not disconnected . Power door locks , also stops working via fob and manual. While driving the power steering would also stops working (very dangerous) as this will prevent you from turning and can cause collision. Engine will start but dies after 5 seconds. I have looked online in jeep forums and this problems appears to be related to ignition switch. The problems the car is having is very identical to those renegade owners posted on line. Other renegade owners got the ignition switch replaced and fixed the problem. As of now, there is no recall for this particular issue but should be investigated. I will be taking my car for recalls and also to include this problem to get fixed. This is a safety matter as it could cause fatality.

My car turns off at random times while driving. This has happened while going down the highway at high speeds and while turning left into a business and everything in between. I am usually able to start the car after waiting five minutes or so and it may or may not turn off again before I reach my destination. I have taken it to the dealership 3 times for this issue with no resolve. The first time I took my car to the dealership was July 14th, 2021 and they determined it was the battery, that did not solve the issue. On December 29, 2022 I took the vehicle to the dealership and on January 09, 2023 I picked it up. They told me my battery cable was loose, that was not the issue. On January 24 I took it back and on February 7, 2023 I picked it up. The dealership replaced the wiring harness, but the issue still remains. Driving down the road at any speed and having the car shut off is a safety risk to everyone around. When my daughter was turning left into a business she was terrified and blocking traffic going both directions and had to be pushed out of the road. While driving down the road I constantly am looking for a plan of action, a place that I can coast off the road if my car dies. The dealership has not been able to recreate this problem. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the dealership. 60% of the time all of the warning lamps are on, and the other part of the time just the check engine light and battery lamp are on, but this is not an indication of if the car will safely get me to my destination without turning off. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. I am not the only one who has suffered this issue. Numerous similar incidents can be found from other people on various websites.

Battery went dead, vehicle was jump started as per guide protocol, then vehicle would not shift out of Park. Had to use Emergency towing and release the shift with the shift lever override as described in the manual. Vehicle will now only go into gear with screwdriver, but it still will not recognize it is in gear and will not move. Warning lights of service transmission. Battery changed, vehicle is just sitting, there is NO explanation as to what to do, dealerships have no clue. Vehicle will roll and cause an accident if not propped behind the tires. Through Jeep forum, it is noted that this is an ongoing issue with this specific year/make/model. The "fix" is over $2000, it should be a recall and the manufacturers responsibility since it is a known issue. Jeep USED to be a reliable, dependable brand, unfortunately, this is the last one we will ever own.
I bought a 2015 Jeep Renegade in October of 2021 (last year) and have experienced the vehicle stalling TWICE in the middle of traffic. I was informed of the recall by Carmax after the deal was drawn up and the vehicle delivered to me on October 4, 2021. I took the vehicle to Class Jeep in Arlington, Texas, (see attached documents) who refused to replace the engine of the vehicle – the reason for the Recall. I have done all that I can do and exhausted every means necessary to have the recall completed and the vehicle replaced or repaired to bring up to operating standard. I currently owe $21,000.00 on a vehicle that is non-operable. Carvana delivered the car with a rotted battery (paperwork attached); and, a faulty brake job (where new brakes had been put on top of bad rotors) which they felt $200.00 should cover the cost for a $1100 brake repair/replacement. Carvana also refused to replace the transmission on the vehicle which they identified as the source of the ‘stalling-out’ in the midst of traffic when the vehicle would not shift gears to accelerate. The justification was because ‘a module is on top of the transmission instead of inside of it’ and it’s not an engine problem; therefore, refused to repair or replace. Essentially, I have been told that the vehicle which is a safety hazard and threat to life is no longer their concern. Please advise – both the dealership and the manufacturer have taken the position that the operating problems of this vehicle is that ‘of the other’s…’ and no one wanting to just take ownership that the vehicle is faulty and fix it, repair it, or take it out of circulation on the market for sell to unsuspecting consumers. Requested Resolution: I am requesting REPAIR or REPLACEMENT of this vehicle; or, buyback with no negative adverse action on my credit worthiness. My choice is not simply, “you can return it” as I was told – which will result in a ‘REPOSSESSION’ appearing on my credit report.

It mostly happens in the morning. While I’m driving to work which is less than 5 minutes away from where I live. The car would just shut down while I’m driving, lights would flicker and the car will stop. I would have to wait a few minutes or more to restart the vehicle and the drives normal. I bought the car from Carmax in May or June 2021. They told me there were no recalls. I look up the problem I’m having and found a previous recall about the same issue, on the same year, make and model. Need help
6/24/21 I backed out of my carport & my car jerked me very hard like something shifted. All error codes & lights came on, air bag (which did not deploy) E Brake light was on, check engine & tire pressure the PRND light up simultaneously & flashed. I turned it off & back on, seemed fine I put in drive & drove in my circle driveway & suddenly it stopped accelerating even with me giving it gas then it took off & the E Brake came on. Thank GOD I was In My driveway & not pulling into traffic when this occurred. My husband tried again when he got home & it did the same to him would go then just stop accelerating mid drive & E brake come along with ALL the flashing error codes & I mean every code it can throw it did. It was like it was going in & out of limp mode & the E brake would come on when it wanted to mid drive. It has been in service since 6/26/2021 when it was taken by tow to the dealer, as it was unsafe to try to drive. I do have an extended mopar warranty & im told they have contacted Jeep engineering team but have NO answers. It’s been in their possession close to 40 days now. I will not feel safe at all IF they fix this car due to that incident. I would either be dead or badly injured.
While putting my car in park to exit my vehicle, my emergency parking break activated and would not shut off. I tried resetting the car multiple times. Nothing released the emergency parking break. The car needed to be towed to the dealership where they informed me a "glitch" had happened in the parking system...
Shifter won't work (won't move out of park) after battery dies. My vehicle's battery died at the end of April, we assumed it was just an old battery and had it replaced by AAA. Last week, the battery died again (this also co-occurred with the key fobs not working...if that's helpful). After AAA charged it, we turned it on but it wouldn't shift out of park. We followed the manual instructions to manually shift it into Neutral but then we couldn't turn the vehicle off. Eventually it was towed to the dealership while it was still running...and they said that it needs a new shifter (+$1300)?! I PARKED MY CAR IN THE GARAGE ON A MONDAY GOT READY TO GO THE VERY NEXT DAY CAR STARTED BUT WOULDN'T GO IN GEAR AND THE DASH BOARD WAS SAYING SERVICE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION THERE WAS NO WARNING ANY TIME BEFORE
SINCE I OWNED THIS JEEP I COMPLAINED AT SERVICE THAT THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS STRAIN AND WHERE A CHANGE IN GEAR SHOULD NATURALLY HAPPEN, THE ENGINE WOULD WHINE AND WHINE AND THEN EVENTUALLY SHIFT GEARS. I WAS ALWAYS MET WITH SERVICE MEN WITH NO RESPONSE. SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING I WAS TOLD THAT THE ENGINE BURNED CONSIDERABLE AMOUNTS OF OIL, AND I WOULD NEED TO MAKE ADDITIONAL SPECIAL APPT SAND BRING IT IN TO MAKE SURE I HAD OIL IN THE ENGINE?THE CONSOLE ABOVE MY HEAD WHERE THE INTERIOR LIGHTS AND THE SUNROOF SWITCH IS THERE ARE RED LIGHTS THAT LIGHT UP FROM TIME TO TIME INDICATING WHAT/ AND WHY ARE THEY LIT? I WILL START THIS OFF BY SAYING I'VE HAD A FEW PROBLEMS WITH MY 2015 JEEP RENEGADE INCLUDING A/C PROBLEMS, POWER OUTLETS(BACK SEAT 110V OUTLET, CARGO OUTLETS & BUILT IN FLASHLIGHT) SHUTTING OFF AFTER ONLY A FEW MINUTES OF USAGE. THE BLIND SPOT ASSISTANCE WILL RANDOMLY POP UP WHEN DRIVING SAYING 'BLIND SPOT ASSIST IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE' THE BIGGEST ONE BEING WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW WHICH IS WHAT I'LL EXPLAIN BELOW BUT TO INFORM YOU MORE I'LL INCLUDE THAT IT HAD 96K WHEN I GOT THE TRUCK AND HAD ALWAYS KIND OF HAD A JERKY FEEL WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS WHICH I READ WAS KIND OF NORMAL, SO I DIDN'T PUT MUCH THOUGHT INTO IT UNTIL NOW. I GIVE IT A MINUTE HAVING THE TRUCK RUNNING TO RESET THESE THINGS THEIR SELVES AND MOST DO EXCEPT A FEW. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON ALONG WITH THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WHICH IS THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION WARNING THAT HAS THE TRUCK STUCK IN GEAR; IT WON'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK. I TRIED DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY TERMINALS FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES SEEING IF THE SOFTWARE WILL RESET THAT WAY BUT IT DIDN'T HELP STILL HAS THE MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN. I EVENTUALLY HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THEY'VE HAD IT 4 DAYS NOW AND I'M STILL NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS IS BUT AM DREADING THIS MAJOR ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 14K MILES ON IT. WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE O2 SENSOR. LESS THAN A MONTH LATER, THE WIRING HARNESS HAS MELTED. DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS HAS BEEN UPDATED INDICATING THERE WAS A DEFECT THAT WAS CORRECTED. HOWEVER NO RECALL WAS ISSUED. WHY NOT IF THE PART WAS UPDATED TO FIX A DEFECT?

I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, WHEN THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS TURNED GREEN I PRESSED MY GAS PETAL BUT THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN & WOULDN'T MOVE, MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP & SO DID MY BRAKE, AIRBAG & PARK LIGHT. I WAS STUCK IN PARK FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, AFTER WAITING MY CAR STARTED BACK TO NORMAL, BUT THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES.

WHILE DRIVING A 2015 JEEP RENEGADE THE CAR SHUTS OFF AS YOU ARE DRIVING. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING WHILE STOPPED IT HAPPENS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET/ROAD. IT HAS HAPPENED WITH OUR VEHICLE AT LEAST 3 TIMES, ONCE IN AN INTERSECTION WHILE TURNING AND TWICE AS WE WERE DRIVING. LUCKILY WE WERE ABLE TO PUSH THE VEHICLE OUT OF TRAFFIC WITHOUT BEING HIT OR INJURED. ONE TIME VEHICLE ASSISTANCE WAS CALLED, EVENTUALLY THE CAR WAS JUMPED SUCCESSFULLY, AND DRIVEN TO REPAIR SHOP, WHERE NOTHING COULD BE FOUND WRONG. ABOUT 4 MONTHS LATER THE CAR SHUT OFF IN AN INTERSECTION. ABOUT 8 HOURS LATER WE JUMPED THE CAR AND DROVE IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP, WHERE AGAIN NOTHING CAN BE DETECTED. MANY OTHER JEEP RENEGADE OWNERS REPORT THE SAME THING HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN TAKEN IN FOR REPAIRS NO THING CAN BE FOUND. EACH TIME THIS HAPPENS TO OUR CAR WE HAVE HAD AN INFANT IN THE CAR.. WE ARE GRATEFUL WE WERE NOT ON THE EXPRESSWAY LIKE SOME OTHER RENEGADE DRIVERS REPORT. WITHOUT FINDING OUT AND FIXING WHAT IS TRULY WRONG THESE INTERMITTENT SHUTOFFS WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN.

VEHICLE VIN: [XXX], JEEP RENEGADE, 57000 MILES I PURCHASED A JEEP RENEGADE FOR MY WIFE AT [XXX] IN KILLEEN. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, THE DEALERSHIP RAN INTO A VIN ERROR THAT WE WERE TOLD WAS FIXED, BUT IT NEVER WAS BECAUSE WE REMAIN HAVING ISSUES WITH INSURANCE. I WORK IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND LOOKED UP NHTSA DOCUMENTATION THAT SAYS THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER UPON FINDING A DISCREPANCY AND APPARENTLY THIS WAS NEVER DONE. THE DEALERSHIP ALSO TOLD US THE JEEP WAS IN A MINOR ACCIDENT AND WE FOUND OUT THE CRASH WAS WORSE THAN MINOR, THE VEHICLE HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND ONLY ONE KEY FOB. WE WERE PROMISED ANOTHER KEY FOB MADE, BUT HAVE JUST GOT THE RUNAROUND SINCE PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT LOCK SOMETIMES AND WE ARE WORRIED IT WILL NOT UNLOCK DURING AN EMERGENCY. THE VEHICLE CONTINUALLY TELLS US THE KEY FOB IS NOT IN THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE STATIONARY. THE JEEP ALSO HAS TRANSMISSION ISSUES WE WERE NEVER TOLD ABOUT. I JUMPSTART THE CAR PER OWNERS MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS (IT HAS A COMPLEX BATTERY SO EVEN THOUGH I'VE JUMP STARTED MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THERE WEREN'T SPECIAL PROCEDURES, IT ENDED UP BEING PRETTY STANDARD). WHEN IT DIED IT WAS IN A GARAGE SO I HAD TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE GEAR SELECTOR TO PUT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO PUSH IT INTO POSITION FOR A JUMP CONNECTION. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND LET THE BATTERY CHARGE UP A WHILE. ONCE THE CAR CHARGED UP ENOUGH, IT STARTED RIGHT UP. AT THIS POINT I THOUGHT I WAS IN THE CLEAR, THAT'S WHEN THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT AND SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON. THE ENGINE IS RUNNING FINE, TRANSMISSION WAS FINE BEFORE THE BATTERY DIED. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT I COULD NOT MOVE THE VEHICLE. IT WAS LOCKED INTO PARK. I WAS BLOCKING THE ROAD IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHILE I WAS MANUALLY UNLOCKING THE GEAR SELECTOR, I FINALLY GET THE CAR TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE AND TRIED TO ACCELERATE. ONLY THE ENGINE WOULD REV, NO MOVEMENT. TRY TO REVERSE, SAME THING. AT THIS POINT I COULDN'T GET THE CAR BACK INTO PARK. I PUSH THE CAR BACK INTO THE GARAGE TO GET IT OUT OF THE WAY AND GO TO TURN IT OFF. THE RENEGADE (PUSH BUTTON START) WILL NOT LET YOU TURN THE CAR OFF IN ANY GEAR BUT PARK. IT WAS STUCK IN NEUTRAL. AFTER STRUGGLING MORE TO FORCE IT BACK INTO PARK, I FINALLY GET IT AND WAS ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF. I'M LUCKY IT DIDN'T GET STUCK IN D OR R IF IT STARTED WORKING! I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE JUMPSTARTING A CAR AND THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. LUCKILY I WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO PUSH THE CAR BACK OUT OF THE WAY, OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE STUCK THERE INDEFINITELY UNTIL A TOW CAME. I'VE READ NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THIS IN ONLINE FORUMS. THEY ENDED UP DOING SOMETHING ELSE THAT I DIDN'T SAY YES TO NOW THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR IT AND WHILE MY CAR WAS GETTING REPAIRED. THEY GAVE ME A LOANER CAR, I GET IN CAR ACCIDENT IN THEIR LOANER CAR I HAD INSURANCE BUT ONLY LIABILITY. DEALERSHIP WON'T GIVE MY CAR BACK UNTIL I PAY IN CASH A DEDUCTIBLE OF 2,500 AND PLUS REPAIRS I DIDN'T AGREE TO.

2 WEEKS AFTER BUYING MY BRAND NEW RENEGADE, IT COMPLETELY SHUT OFF ON THE FREEWAY & I HAD TO COAST OVER 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC TO THE SHOULDER. NOT ONLY DID MY JEEP LEAVE ME STRANDED, I COULD HAVE BEEN RAN OVER AT 80 MILES AN HOUR. JUST BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN, MY CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS AND BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED EVEN THOUGH THE RPMS WERE HITTING THE RED MARKS. IT WAS SERVICED, AND GIVEN 2 SOFTWARE UPDATES. A WEEK LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. YOU CAN PUSH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, BUT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ACCELERATE, INSTEAD IT DIES, HOWEVER THE RPM'S GO UP AS HIGH AS THEY CAN GO BUT MY CAR WON'T SHIFT GEARS. NOW IT IS IN THE SHOP (FOR OVER A WEEK), SUPPOSEDLY GETTING A NEW FUEL PUMP, WHICH I DO NOT THINK IS THE ULTIMATE PROBLEM. I HAVE READ ABOUT THE 9 SPEED AUTOMATIC PROBLEMS AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT KEEPS HAPPENING. AFTER PUTTING ME IN DANGER TWICE, I FEEL CERTAIN AS SOON AS I GET MY NEW FUEL PUMP AND DRIVE HOME, THIS WILL BREAK DOWN AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE JEEP ONE MONTH, BRAND NEW.

HAD TO JUMP BATTERY 3 TIMES WITH BATTERY PACK TO GET CAR STARTED. WHEN BATTERY WENT DEAD THE CAR COMPUTER RESET AND MY POWER DOOR LOCKS NOW WORK WITH KEY FOB. AFTER NUMEROUS TRIPS AND CALLS TO U-CONNECT WITH MULTIPLE TROUBLE TICKETS AND OPENED STAR CASE THE RADIO WAS REPLACED ON 8/26/2015 BUT IT IS NOW WORSE THAN BEFORE,.APPS DO NOT WORK, GETTING SEVER ERROR AND SUBSCRIPTION ERRORS. I NOW HAVE ANOTHER OPEN TROUBLE TICKET AND U-CONNECT DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE AN ANSWER. I HAVE BEEN PUTTING UP WITH THIS FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND 5-6 TRIPS TO THE DEALER, A REPLACEMENT RADIO AND A REQUESTED BUYBACK. I HAVE AN OPEN CUSTOMER CARE CASE. I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND THEN SHIFTED IT FROM PARK TO DRIVE. ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS FLASHED AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SYSTEMS WENT DEAD. I SHIFTED BACK TO PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE AGAIN. IT DID NOT START AND TURNING THE KEY RESULTED IN ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS LIGHTING UP. THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED AND DID NOT RELEASE. THE POWER DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOWS DID NOT WORK BUT AFTER THE KEY WAS TURNED THE HEADLIGHTS DID FLASH IF THE LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTONS ON THE KEY FOB WERE PUSHED. ALSO THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT TURN WITH THE KEY IN PLACE AND THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER HAD TO RESORT TO USING A POWER PACK ON THE BATTERY TERMINALS TO GET POWER TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SO HE COULD RESTORE THE STEERING AND RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKE. AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT REPAIRED THE CAR THEY FOUND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FUNCTIONAL AND THE BATTERY FULLY CHARGED. THE SERVICE RECIEPT STATES THE DTCM HAD AN ACTIVE CODE C2502-64 AND THEY FLASHED DTCM WITH LATEST FLASH NUMBER AND CLEARED CODES.

YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK THE DOORS. I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY RECALL . IF YOU HAVE KIDS IN BACK THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO GET OUT UNLESS YOU REACH INSIDE VEHICLE TO OPEN. HOPE THE CAR DOESN'T CATCH FIRE WITH KIDS IN BACK. KEY IS ALSO HARD TO PUT IN IGNITION AND TAKE OUT.(BATTERIES IN REMOTE ARE FINE I CHECKED FULL POWER). I THINK THE MANUFACTURERS ARE IN A HURRY TO RELEASE THE VEHICLES BEFORE THEY ARE PROPERLY TESTED.

TOOK TO DEALER, SAID CHRYSLER KNEW OF ISSUE, TRYING TO GET A "PERMANENT" FIX, BUT A TEMP FIX WAS TO RE-SET THE COMPUTER SYSTEM; THEY DID AND IT LASTED LESS THAN 2 HOURS. HAVE TO USE KEY TO UNLOCK DRIVER DOOR, THEN REACH AROUND AND UNLOCK/LOCK THE OTHER 3 DOORS BY HAND ONCE INSIDE THE CAR. "LUCKILY", THE KEY-FOB STILL LOCKS/UNLOCKS THE REAR LIFT GATE. 2. REAR WIPER BLADE TURNS ON RANDOMLY WHEN FRONT WIPERS ARE ON. ONLY WAY TO STOP THE REAR WIPER IS TO TURN OFF THE FRONT WIPERS, WAIT A FEW SECONDS, THEN TURN THEM BACK ON. 3. CAR SAT FOR 3 DAYS (JULY 15-17), AND BATTERY COMPLETELY DRAINED/DEAD. KEY STUCK IN IGNITION. CALLED ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE, THEY TRIED TO JUMP IT WITH A JUMP-BOX, JEEP WOULDN'T TURN OVER, SO HAD TO JUMP WITH THE TOW TRUCK'S BATTERY CONNECTED TO JUMPER CABLES AND AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES, THE ELECTRICAL GADGETS STARTED TO WORK, AND SEVERAL MINUTES LATER ON THE CHARGE, IT FINALLY TURNED OVER. 4. CAR TRANSMISSION "JERKING" WHEN DRIVING SLOWLY OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY (APPROX. 5 MPH). THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.

I TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT, SO THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE IN THE CAR BECAUSE TWO UPDATES WERE AVAILABLE. I GOT THE CAR BACK AND IT BROKE DOWN FOR A THIRD TIME, AGAIN AFTER ONLY 2 DAYS. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP AND CHRYSLER IS RELUCTANT TO BUYBACK THE VEHICLE. NOBODY CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO PERFORM SOFT AND FACTORY RESETS TIME AND TIME AGAIN WITH NO CHANGE. UCONNECT REPS HAVE RE-SENT DATA AND JAR. FILES WITH NO LUCK AND NO CHANGE TO MY RADIO SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AND SUBMITTED A WORK TIOCKET TO STAR REPS FOR ASSISTANCE.
