I have had this vehicle in for repairs four times since it was leased in 2024 for electrical failure. I contacted Jeep Stellantis and they have not responded. They have been reported to the BBB. This vehicle has proven unsafe.
Follow-Up to Complaint #11696210 This is a formal update to my original safety complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ), which suddenly decelerated from 50 mph to 10 mph on October 11, 2025 — a terrifying incident that occurred immediately after an over-the-air (OTA) Uconnect software update. Since submitting the original complaint, Jeep/Uconnect confirmed that my vehicle was affected by the faulty OTA update, but they have refused to provide any documentation of what occurred. They admitted the update was involved but claimed they had “no access” to the engineering or software details. They referred me back to the dealership, which had originally denied any recall existed and still has not provided a clear explanation of what was done. I have made repeated attempts to escalate my case through Jeep, Uconnect, and Stellantis, but: -My case was closed prematurely despite the seriousness of the issue -No one will provide documentation of what software version was installed, rolled back, or repaired -No one will confirm whether the recall fix was fully implemented -All email escalation contacts have since been removed I’ve been left without answers and with growing concerns about my safety in this vehicle The recall issued days after my incident matches exactly what happened to me, yet I’ve been treated as though this was an unrelated or minor issue. It was not. I was extremely lucky I wasn’t in heavy traffic when the malfunction occurred. I am urging NHTSA to further investigate Jeep/Stellantis's handling of this recall, including their lack of transparency, poor documentation practices, and refusal to provide consumers with the information they need to feel safe in their vehicles. I am submitting this formal escalation request regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN XXX). My vehicle has an extensive and well-documented history of mechanical failure, unresolved safety concerns, and open recalls without available remedies. I am requesting immediate senior-level review and written confirmation of the vehicle’s current stop-sale / stop-drive status and repair pathway. Timeline of Key Events February 9, 2024 — Full Engine Replacement: At approximately four months old, the engine failed completely and required a full replacement at Mullahey CDJR. Vehicle was inoperative for 28–29 days. Stellantis Case #XXX(“Gigi”) was opened. I reported significant inconvenience, lack of a comparable rental, and concern about future reliability. October 2024 — Second Breakdown / Powertrain Issues: Vehicle experienced additional engine and powertrain failures resulting in renewed service delays. Stellantis Case #XXX(2024) was opened. Case managed by Dustin Keyes (ext. XXX). Issues included loss of power, extensive repair wait times, and no clarity on whether the vehicle was placed under a formal stop-sale / stop-drive hold during the repairs. October 2025 — Active Federal Safety Recall: The vehicle is now listed under NHTSA Recall 25V-710 (Stellantis A7C) — “Recall Incomplete – Remedy Not Yet Available.” Defect involves loss of motive power while driving due to internal communication failures between the HCP and TBM modules. There is no current remedy, creating an ongoing safety risk. Conflicting Case Status Oct 27 2025 7:30 a.m. PT: Customer Care agent Gerry confirmed Case #XXX is open and assigned to Patricia Miller. Oct 28 2025 10:42 a.m. PT: An email from [email protected] stated that “there is no active case open for you or manager handling your file.” As of today, no one from Stellantis management or the assigned case handler has contacted me.

JEEP 2024 Wrangler 4XE HYBRID EXPLODED VIN# [XXX] On [XXX], just before [XXX], our 2024 hybrid vehicle began emitting smoke while parked in our attached garage. Thankfully, our smoke alarm alerted us - my wife discovered it was coming from the garage and immediately called 911. Police arrived within minutes and were able to push the car out of the garage. Shortly after that, the vehicle caught fire. First responders later told us that if my wife had not acted quickly, the fire could have easily spread to our home—potentially resulting in a total loss, or worse, endangering our lives if it had happened while we were asleep. It took four hours of continuous firefighting to manage the flames. The Hazmat team explained that this was due to “thermal runaway”, a dangerous chain reaction in lithium-ion batteries where heat builds uncontrollably, leading to fire or even explosions. These types of fires can’t be extinguished conventionally—they must burn out once the chemical reaction is complete. Some Important Context: This vehicle is the same year, make, and model as those recently recalled for hybrid battery fire risks. However, our VIN was not included in the recall—something we now believe may have been an oversight, as the circumstances appear nearly identical. Back in June, the car had another serious issue: it shut down completely despite a full gas tank and a 50% EV charge. It had to be towed to the dealership, and was returned to us a day or 2 later, marked as “repaired.” After the fire - I reviewed the service paperwork, we found that the specific error code pointed to unstable hybrid battery voltage—a potential sign of a failing battery pack. According to documentation on that error code POB24, complete replacement of the hybrid battery is considered the only safe fix. That repair was never performed—and worse, we were never informed of the severity of the issue. This negligence should be addressed as it almost killed us. I came home shortly before 4pm on [XXX] and plugged in my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe inside of the garage. I closed the door and about 45 minutes later noticed smoke in the yard. We then realized it was coming from inside our own garage and the car engine compartment was on fire and called 911 just before 5pm. The fire department arrived quickly and gained access to the garage. They removed the car from the power source and extinguished the fire. The most damage was seen in the driver's side engine compartment. There was also property damage including smoke and fire damage inside of the garage and to the contents of our garage. The Fire department stayed with us until the tow truck company came to get the car. Two weeks prior to the fire, this car was in for service at the Jeep dealership on Monday [XXX]. The check engine light was on related to cooling for the EV motor. While the check engine light was on, the car would not use the EV mode at times with a warning "Electric Mode Unavailable Cabin Cooling or Heating". This put my family at huge risk; we are lucky that we were home to notice the fire and that no one was hurt in the fire. We are also living with the toxicity of the burn of the lithium ion battery and electric plastic components next to our house, on our property. It caused a huge amount of stress and fear for my children who recently went through 2 evacuations with the Eaton fire. The Jeep is available for inspection. It is being stored at the lot of the tow truck company for inspection by the insurance company and Jeep. The Fire department completed a Fire investigation report. 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe VIN: [XXX] I have driven 4 other 4xe 2024 in the last two months as rental cars and have noticed my jeep is not performing anywhere near the other four, I have driven. Seems like my jeep isn’t tuned correctly or the engine/transmission has an issue. Engine: -When starting and as engine warming up it shakes the care periodically. There are times when it will shake the car as it heats up, rocking the car slightly and you can hear the engine make a weird knocking noise. -This also occurs when in E-Save mode and charging the battery is selected. The engine does not idle smooth all the time and sometimes runs rough then goes back to normal -There does not seem to be much torque Transmission: -The 1st – 3rd gear shift at high RPM times even when barley giving it any gas. -The transmission shifts down into 2nd gear at around 18-20 mph when gradually slowing down in traffic causing the jeep to slow down quickly and throws you forward. If you catch it during its shift (which is longer than any other gear) it will slam into 2nd and then back into 3rd gear. You lose power as it takes several seconds to complete the shifting. -The gear I feel should smoothly shift into and out of 2nd at around 15 mph, like it does in the cars I rented. oDoes the shift timing need to be remapped or reset? Software update: -The software update pushed on the home screen several weeks ago to update the camera, and some other items has caused my gauge cluster to flash a lot when using CarPlay GPS. In stead of the turn by turn on the cluster it flashes. I continues to have issue and causing me to lose power or significantly slow down and not able to accelerate in Atlanta traffic. The first instance of this issue occurred on June 1, 2024, while driving to my daughter’s soccer tournament. My Jeep abruptly shut off in the middle of the freeway, displaying a “prepare to stop” warning, and left me stranded on the side of the road. The vehicle would not restart for 30 minutes. Since then, this problem has occurred five times, creating unsafe and unpredictable situations. I am constantly worried about the vehicle’s reliability, as it has placed me in frightening and dangerous circumstances. Despite the severity of the issue, Jeep has been unable to resolve the problem and has not provided a loaner vehicle. This is a matter of safety, not convenience, and it requires immediate attention.
Continued "service electric hybrid system" error on dash with dinging noise. The vehicle does not run properly in hybrid mode or electric mode, does not always want to maintain power. Causes jerking movements when accelerating in hybrid mode. Will not run only the ICE in e save mode.

[XXX] driving car that we have owned for approximately 2 months 280 miles on busy road 4 way intersection at light stopped waiting for the turn left when car jolts as though we were rear ended but not. Then stops completely and shuts down with no indication of what is happening. Put hazard lights on trying ro get some control of car the system shut down and appeared to reboot taking 10 minutes. Very scary situation fortunately we were not in a high speed . Luckily the car started but now had an engine light on. Made it home contacted Arrigo dealer in West palm , fl but no calls back. Contacted the service department the next day 11/11/24 . They ran tests and said it needed a software update. Not sure why there was no notification and car dangerously shuts down. Continued electrical over discharge resulting in battery failure. Problem remains undiagnosed by dealer, multiple engine / transmission / seat malfunction error codes. Hybrid engine does not take over driving as operated. Concerned this may present as a fire hazard for one as electrical systems are not communicating in a hybrid vehicle. Secondary concern that the vehicle will suddenly lose power while driving at put driver and others at risk of accident. This problem has occurred more than three times since ownership. Vehicle has been owned less than 1 month and was purchased brand new. Initial problem occurred within less than 600 miles of ownership. Vehicle starter battery has been significantly discharged since ownership under normal operations. Was initially advised by the Jeep dealership that 'the wrong battery was installed at the factory' and that changing the battery would solve the issue. Shortly after this service (approximately one week), the problem occurred again. Further diagnostics have remained unclear without resolution via the dealer.

My leased vehicle has been recalled for lighting on fire while off- I can not park in my garage or near my house. The performance of the vehicle is dependent on it being hybrid. Extremely dissatisfied.
2024 Jeep Hybrid- one month into purchasing it in March of 2024, the engine completely blew. It was in the shop over a month waiting for a new engine. Last month, my charger would not charge the vehicle - they stated nothing was wrong and it was electrical in my own home which is incorrect considering we use the same outlet to charge another hybrid vehicle. This week, 200k jeeps (mine included) were recalled due to vehicles starting on fire from the charging. The recall states there is no fix at this time and to just not charge your vehicle. I paid much more for a hyrbid vehicle, and now unable to use it for safety reasons.
I am writing to raise a safety concern regarding the recurring “Service Hybrid Electric System” warning on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe. This warning light frequently appears during normal driving conditions, often without any discernible reason or noticeable performance issues. After consulting with my dealership, it was indicated that this issue is common, with no immediate or lasting resolution provided, even after multiple diagnostics. The primary concern I wish to highlight is the potential safety hazard this frequent warning creates. Due to its persistent and intermittent nature, drivers may become desensitized to the alert. This desensitization can lead to drivers either losing focus due to distraction from the warning or ignoring the warning entirely, assuming it is yet another false alert. In emergency situations where the hybrid system does indeed have a critical issue, this lack of attention could result in delayed reactions or inadequate responses, increasing the risk of accidents. Additionally, this issue can cause unnecessary anxiety and confusion, particularly when no definitive fault is identified, leaving the driver unsure of the vehicle’s actual safety status. This ambiguity poses a risk, especially in situations requiring immediate attention to a legitimate hybrid system malfunction. Given the number of reports from fellow Jeep Wrangler 4xe owners who are experiencing similar issues and the potential safety risks involved, I believe this warrants a thorough investigation by Jeep and its parent company to determine whether a safety recall is necessary. I would appreciate confirmation that this report will be reviewed and the appropriate actions taken to mitigate any risks associated with this warning system.
As I was driving on the interstate, a red turtle appeared on the control panel saying that power has been reduced. Approximately 2 minutes later the entire engine shut down at 55mph. I pulled over and placed the Jeep into park and attempted to restart the truck. The Jeep would power on and immediately shut off. I called a tow truck and had it towed to the dealership (Tate Chrysler and Jeep in Glen Burnie, MD) where it is currently being serviced.
All the warning lights came on while driving on the highway and the vehicle shutdown on its own. 3,000 miles on the vehicle. Seems like an electrical or software issue. Absolutely unacceptable. I am lucky I wasn’t hit.
The engine is running rough and loses power when it turns on for the first time and speeding up around 6th gear. Also the 2nd gear takes about 3-5 sec to downshift and you lose the opportunity to step on the gas hard or it will slam into another gear. The lose of power and random shifting causes you to slow down and not able to get out of the way or drive well esp. on the highway. The jeep dealer wants to keep the car for 4 days to trouble shoot. No lights or warnings it constantly does this and seems there is a tuning or computer issue. The car only has 8000 miles on it.
Now on Sunday August 11th at 6:08pm driving home from store with no charge on jeep at all, not in hybrid only gas, the jeep died in the middle of the road, it abruptly stopped with no warning, my body jerked forward and when I pushed down gas pedal there was nothing. There was no type of warning before this happened, no light warning on dash, no beeping NO WARNING. Thankfully the car behind me went around me and thankfully there was enough distance between us. I was on a back road thankfully right near an entrance of a park. After putting it into park is when it started binging at me and beeping and warning lights, service charging system light came on, check engine light. I tried turning it off and back on which I had power like my radio and lights on dash the whole time. I could not get car to go into neutral, I even turned off got out closed door and then tried again. Thankfully I was close to home called my husband who came, and he could not get into neutral and had to find the loop that put jeep in neutral manually and he towed me to a safer place. He then unhooked the negative battery terminal for 15min to see if that would at least reboot system which it did but drive home it was like a windup toy car very bucking. I did charge and took to dealership Monday it did buck once an. All of this was about an hour. Jeep is at dealership still. I do have pictures and video also
Vehicle has stopped and shut down 3 times this year. Unable to power back on. Stopped in the middle of the road. Requieres towing asístance all instances back to dealership for repair.
The day I got the vehicle, it shut down. I thought it was a fluke, but it keeps shutting down on the road. Completely. The whole car turns off in middle of the lane and I have to try and restart the car which can take a few minutes. No alerts would come up, the car would just suddenly stop. It is very stressful trying to get the car restarted with everyone honking and zooming around me. I have a baby and every time we get in car, I am fearful of an accident. It went to different dealerships multiple times, each time they claim there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. I've shown them many videos, and they say its insufficient proof. They drove it for over 200mi and told me they could not replicate the problem. I find this hard to believe as happens 10-20 A DAY!! And I don't drive a lot. It literally happens on the way home from the dealership. They wont give me a rental car, cuz they don't see a problem, yet keep the vehicle for weeks.
Car stopped dead with a total power failure in the left lane on [XXX] between NJ/NY. there was no warning light or any other prior notification to attempt to take evasive action. This was at night with other vehicles traveling at high speed on the road as well. Lucky to be alive. The vehicle was towed into the Jeep dealer on Rt 18 in New Jersey and they returned it saying they had applied a "software update." Glad they feel like a software update is worth someone's life. Vehicle engine shut down while driving and was disabled creating dangerous condition. Vehicle would not start and had to be towed to local service department
Driving along with traffic, in the middle lane of a 5 lane highway, a red turtle light suddenly appeared on my dash and my car instantly starting losing speed and acceleration at a very quick rate. On the middle of the dash my screen read "Push Break and Push Button to Start" (which it usually says when I get into my car to start it, but my car was still on and running). I quickly put my hazards on and was able to safely, with very little time, pull off the road to the shoulder as fast as I could. I put my car in park and then turned it off after examining the dash to see if any other lights were on. Nothing new had appeared and the turtle light was gone. I started my car up again, went to put it in Drive, but I could not get the vehicle out of Park. My shifter would not budge. Several attempts turning the vehicle off and back on and still could not get the vehicle out of park. All the usual lights turned on, the radio was on and working as usual. At this time, I did notice that the engine light on the dash was now lit up, along with a red battery light. A tow truck was called to come and tow the vehicle to the car dealer I leased it from. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in any vehicle, especially this new one. I just got this brand new '24 Jeep Wrangler 4xE in May 2024.
On two separate occasions while driving my vehicle, I lost the ability to accelerate although my car still appeared to be on and functioning normally. This resulted in me needing to pull over to a complete stop on the highway as the accelerator was completely ineffective and I continued to decelerate to unsafe highway speeds. I had to turn the jeep off and then back on to get it to work normally again. I contacted the dealership regarding this matter and they advised they did an “update” on the vehicle on 6/3/24.
My 2024 Jeep with low mileage has had 5 issues of the vehicle shutting off while driving and not wanting to start after the unexpected shutdown. The dealership is telling me there is no issue. Given the low mileage and the fact that it has happened 5 times, I'm scared to drive it. It's a huge safety issue. Twice, it happened while driving in traffic, and I was not able to restart the vehicle. I'm lucky I wasn't rear-ended. If this engine stop happens while on the highway, it could be fatal.
Jeep keeps loosing power in electric mode on the highway
I was driving the car when I believe it was a red wrench w/ a bolt appeared on the dashboard. The car slipped out of gear and stopped running. This happened three while driving it which is a major safety issue. I was headed to the highway and decided to return home. I called the dealership and made a service appt for 6/27/24. A quick google search told me A LOT of people are having this issue and dealerships do not know how to solve it. I took the vehicle in for a diagnostic test which came up clean. The dealer said since it no error codes came up there wasn't anything they could do. Since that time it has not happened again, but I am concerned it will. I don't drive the car often (it's an extra car in the family) - it only has 330 miles on it (purchased in April of 2024)
I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xE. On November 13, 2023, I was at making a turn and came to a stop and then when I went to accelerate it wouldn't move and gear shifter was flashing for park. So, I moved it to park at the same time had a service electrical system warning with a picture of the charging port. I was not able to drive and was now locked in park. I had to open the panel near the shifter to pull the release to get it to roll. Unfortunately, you must hold the pull strap the whole time while police officers were attempting to push me out of the road. I also had no power steering and was almost impossible to get the steering wheel to move. I had to use all my force with one hand because other was holding the release strap. After getting to the side of the road the vehicle finally shut off completely. It then finally started, and I took it straight to the dealership. I also I got an email from Jeep for triggered alerts, and it was for Traction Battery Cut-off state. This was also my cutoff date for Jeep connect/Sirius XM for the trial from when I purchased the 2024 Wrangler Sahara 4xe. People in the 4xe forum have said this is a time it has happened to them before too. Was a scary situation because I was without power in the middle of the road and not able to move on my own. Almost was rear ended like 10 times. The dealership stated they couldn’t replicate and did something with the software. But when asking the lady at the dealership about all the things I have seen on the forum and if this was happening to others, she stated you can’t trust those forums. I was very taken back and felt she knew more than she would share with me. I then saw this was a recall for prior years and mine was a brand new 2024 at the time. I am constantly worried it will happen again and if it was anyone else in my family it could have been much worse. Now seeing an article about this being investigated by NHTSA, I felt the need to report what happen to me prior.
Battery drains extremely fast Car stalls in hybrid and electric mode, multiple times daily Must floor pedal to get the car moving, then the electric light blinks Warnings keep coming up on dashboard to Service Hybrid Mode Electric Temporarily Unavailable keeps going on and off Heated seats and steering wheel barely get hot Speakers do not work on left side
We purchased the vehicle on March 23, 2024. A few days later, a couple of dozen miles on it, the vehicle started to constantly show the following message on the dashboard 'Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System'. We brought it to the dealership based on their earlies availability on April 17, 2024. They told us there's nothing wrong with the vehicle and it's safe to park inside our garage and we needed to wait for the 'harness' to arrive and be replaced. Finally on May 10th, 2024 the harness arrived and we brought the vehicle back to the dealership to perform the replacement. The vehicle has been in that dealership ever since and this past tuesday, June 18th, 2024 we were informed that the problem is now worse after attempting to repair it for about 40 days and that Jeep/Stellantis adviced the dealership to park the vehicle outside as it's not safe to park it inside anymore. Very scary for a brand new car! Please see attached pictures documenting the situation. The manufacturer refuses to apply the lemon law even though it has been well over 30 days and it hasn't been repaired.
I was making a right turn at approximately 20mph and the car stalled and gas pedal felt empty. I got the car into park. Then I tried to restart the vehicle in order to get it out of the road - I could not get into neutral to push out of the road. It stalled in the middle of the road which is extremely scary. It was approximately 4:20pm. I tried to restart to get into esave but it didn't start. The fuse box kept making clicking noises. It read "service charging system" and the check engine light came on. This problem is extremely.
I was driving and more then 10 times my car has stalled in the middle of the street while driving and the gear “D” began blinking and note has displayed on the screen saying “shift to P then to gear” and said “check transmission” after shifting to park, the car locked up and I then had to shut off the car, open the door and then turn the car back on to get it to drive again. This happened multiple times and happens every time the vehicle come to a stop at a red light or stop sign. I took the vehicle to the dealership and explained the problem and they placed me in a loaner car for a day or 2. When I was called to come the car everything seemed fine. They said the car “needed to be updated” I drove off and it was okay that afternoon and had no begun to stall and shut off in the street once again.
While driving in hybrid and the electric range ran out the Jeep shut off while driving. Wouldn’t start, had to remove the 12v battery positive and reconnect to start. Check engine light came on and truck ran rough. Safety issue with the truck shutting off while driving
1. This vehicle has shut itself off three separate times since Tuesday, 29 January. This happens when using the "E-save" system;i.e. mainly the gasoline engine and the engine has not yet reached full operating temperature. It has happened only while stopped at a traffic light. I will contact my dealership Monday, 5 February. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2. Being stopped at a traffic light with a stalled vehicle immediately irritates the drivers behind or worse a driver approaching from behind with a green light. I could be rear ended. 3. I'm contacting the dealership Monday, 5 February. 4.No. 5.The "Service transmission" alert annunciates. All other normal indicators are still showing the radio continues to play, the turn signals function, etc. 6.The transmission must be placed into Park and the ignition switch shut off. At that time, a normal restart can be performed and the vehicle will continue. 6. The vehicle will restart
When driving through the a parking lot on my way to work, my brand new Wrangler with just over 1000 miles stalled/stopped running and lost power steering and wouldn’t restart for about 10 mins. I got a bunch of error messages but I can’t remember them all but one was about servicing the charging station (it wasn’t plugged in) and I had a check engine light stay on after I finally got it to start. It’s currently at the dealership and the tech mentioned that he saw there was a PIM (power inverter module) code that looks to have malfunctioned. They haven’t been able to duplicate the error yet at the dealership. My safety will for sure be at risk if the dealership doesn’t fix it because my car could randomly turn off on the highway and could put me at risk of being hit or if I was crossing traffic and it stalled in the middle of a lane causing me to get or it could leave me stranded in a dangerous area. No one other than the dealership maintenance department a has inspected yet.
When coming to a stop light, vehicle stopped and shut off completely. It would stop for 3-5 minutes in order to be able to restart. This occurrence has happened no less than 6 times since purchase of vehicle (approximately 1 week old). Currently Jeep only has 426 miles. Very concerned about the safety. Luckily the automatic shut off has only happened when at a stop light. No this is not the engine shutting off and restarting after the gas is depressed. The Jeep simply will not move and you have to try and restart multiple, multiple times in order to drive it again. It will take anywhere between 3-5 minutes. Good afternoon. My name is [XXX] . On [XXX], I signed a two year lease on a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at Herb Chambers Jeep of Danvers, MA . Two days later on [XXX], the new Wrangler I had only driven 30 miles, stalled at a red light- less than a quarter of a mile from a railroad crossing. The vehicle was undriveable, was not able to be started let alone shifted into neutral. What was seemingly just an inconvenience at the time has raised some major safety concerns as a Jeep driver. My vehicle has been at the dealership for over 3 weeks after the initial day it was towed as it was completely undriveable. The department stated that it may need a new transmission, and this issue needed to be escalated to Jeep Corporation. After communicating with the service department it is my understanding that “if the same code does not arise, the vehicle can be returned to me.” After escalated, I was given the resolution that “it simply was a coding issue and the vehicle could be picked up.” I am highly concerned that a vehicle that has not had any maintenance rendered to it in the weeks (18 business days, which constitutes a Lemon Law in the state of Massachusetts) it has been at the dealership after it was completely stalled, can be returned to me without any answers other than “this happens sometimes.” As I know, since in the shop, only codes have been run and the vehicle has been driven by the foreman mechanic to try to elicit the same code from [XXX]. To my knowledge there are several cases similar to mine involved in a class action law suit. I would like light shed on this issue as it is highly alarming as a major safety concern. The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4x4E. The contact stated that his wife noticed a fire at the charger while the vehicle was plugged in and charging. The owners were able to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle had not been charged. The fire department was called to the scene. While his wife was driving the vehicle, it overheated. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500.

While merging onto the highway the car completely shut down thank god there was an exit and a traffic light and the car would not turn back on. This happened on 12/2/2023 it was towed to the dealership they told us it had a defective main battery and there were two blown fuses but they could not figure out why. Then on Wednesday 12/6/23 they called and said they figured it out and it was fixed. Then 3 days later on 12/9/23 the car shut down again this time it was parked it said it was running but it wasn't it was flashing that the HOOD WAS NOT LATCHED, SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM. the dealership has had the Jeep since 12/9/23 on 12/14/23 I received a vehicle health report SERVICE BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE, ABS FAILURE I thought maybe they were working on the car but my husband spoke to the service advisor and told him of the alert I received and he told my husband that, that was odd because the car was not being worked on. It is now 12/27 no phone calls returned and no update on the vehicle
I was driving when the car malfunctioned and gave a transmission error. It said to put the car on park and once I did, it said to have the transmission looked at. I was unable to cost to the side of the road, and my vehicle was in the middle of a busy street. The car lost power, and was unable to come back on, even though some parts were lit up. Once road service arrived, they charged the car and the car started and I was able to park it to have it towed.
On a hybrid mode, drive gear at less than 10mph to park the vehicle. No engine warning lights, and no unusual signs. The car suddenly accelerated as I hit the brakes. At the time of the acceleration, the gasoline engine immediately came on and vehicle only came to stop as I stomped on the brakes for the second time, causing property damage.
On 10/21/2023 I went to turn on my car and shift it to drive when the shifter was unable to move. The shifter was stuck in park and could not move out of any other gear. Check engine light and power steering light were on. Additionally the following message showed up on the dash - "Service Electronic Stability" Several tow truckers were called and the vehicle was unable to be put into neutral even after attempting to use the override cable in the shifter. The vehicle had to be dragged onto a flatbed and was towed to the dealership. Per the dealer it sound like the vehicle need a full transmission replacement and a computer replacement.
Car lost power - Said to press the brake and start button to start car. Was able to cost to the side of the highway on a mountain overpass. Once I was at the side of the road Service Charging System Error was on and I had no power. The vehicle would not start. After a couple of minutes, the vehicle started. The check engine light is on now.
