JEEP 2024 Wrangler 4XE HYBRID EXPLODED VIN# [XXX] On [XXX], just before [XXX], our 2024 hybrid vehicle began emitting smoke while parked in our attached garage. Thankfully, our smoke alarm alerted us - my wife discovered it was coming from the garage and immediately called 911. Police arrived within minutes and were able to push the car out of the garage. Shortly after that, the vehicle caught fire. First responders later told us that if my wife had not acted quickly, the fire could have easily spread to our home—potentially resulting in a total loss, or worse, endangering our lives if it had happened while we were asleep. It took four hours of continuous firefighting to manage the flames. The Hazmat team explained that this was due to “thermal runaway”, a dangerous chain reaction in lithium-ion batteries where heat builds uncontrollably, leading to fire or even explosions. These types of fires can’t be extinguished conventionally—they must burn out once the chemical reaction is complete. Some Important Context: This vehicle is the same year, make, and model as those recently recalled for hybrid battery fire risks. However, our VIN was not included in the recall—something we now believe may have been an oversight, as the circumstances appear nearly identical. Back in June, the car had another serious issue: it shut down completely despite a full gas tank and a 50% EV charge. It had to be towed to the dealership, and was returned to us a day or 2 later, marked as “repaired.” After the fire - I reviewed the service paperwork, we found that the specific error code pointed to unstable hybrid battery voltage—a potential sign of a failing battery pack. According to documentation on that error code POB24, complete replacement of the hybrid battery is considered the only safe fix. That repair was never performed—and worse, we were never informed of the severity of the issue. This negligence should be addressed as it almost killed us. The engine began sounding like a diesel and pushing the gas pedal made the car surge/lurch. Then, while driving in rush hour traffic, the car went into what I now know is called “limp mode” where I could not accelerate and I received a warning that told me to pull the car over.
2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe VIN: [XXX] I have driven 4 other 4xe 2024 in the last two months as rental cars and have noticed my jeep is not performing anywhere near the other four, I have driven. Seems like my jeep isn’t tuned correctly or the engine/transmission has an issue. Engine: -When starting and as engine warming up it shakes the care periodically. There are times when it will shake the car as it heats up, rocking the car slightly and you can hear the engine make a weird knocking noise. -This also occurs when in E-Save mode and charging the battery is selected. The engine does not idle smooth all the time and sometimes runs rough then goes back to normal -There does not seem to be much torque Transmission: -The 1st – 3rd gear shift at high RPM times even when barley giving it any gas. -The transmission shifts down into 2nd gear at around 18-20 mph when gradually slowing down in traffic causing the jeep to slow down quickly and throws you forward. If you catch it during its shift (which is longer than any other gear) it will slam into 2nd and then back into 3rd gear. You lose power as it takes several seconds to complete the shifting. -The gear I feel should smoothly shift into and out of 2nd at around 15 mph, like it does in the cars I rented. oDoes the shift timing need to be remapped or reset? Software update: -The software update pushed on the home screen several weeks ago to update the camera, and some other items has caused my gauge cluster to flash a lot when using CarPlay GPS. In stead of the turn by turn on the cluster it flashes. I continues to have issue and causing me to lose power or significantly slow down and not able to accelerate in Atlanta traffic. Something is wrong with this Jeep brand... INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I had just left my home and got up to about 20-25 MPH when my Jeep Wrangler Willy’s 4XE suddenly and abruptly came to a full stop causing the tires to lock up as well and screech to a stop then it shut down and I had to restart it. It jolted my upper body and head forward and could’ve been much more dangerous if I were on a busy road or if anyone were driving behind me. I took it to my local dealership and they were able to recreate the issue after driving it and it shut off just as it did for me. They brought it in and seem to have primarily done some software update but didn’t express much confidence in the repair. They just said there were no DCT’s but there was some software updates and that should fix it. They also claimed there were no recalls present on the vehicle which is even more scary. So the only way there fixing this if they even are fixing it is it already happened to you and put you in danger.
Driving down the interstate at 65MPH, vehicle totally failed, all lights came on dash, automatic braking engaged and stopped the vehicle. Towed to dealer. Dealer had for 21 days. Received it back January 9th 2025 and on January 16th, 2025, same exact issue. Driving on battery, vehicle cut out, all lights came on dash, vehicle quickly slowed with auto-braking and left me stranded in the middle of the interstate. it would not restart for 5 minutes. Jeep is back at the dealer now.

Was driving on highway, shifted to neutral by accident and message appeared “service charging system” and engine shutoff. Incredibly dangerous.
Continued "service electric hybrid system" error on dash with dinging noise. The vehicle does not run properly in hybrid mode or electric mode, does not always want to maintain power. Causes jerking movements when accelerating in hybrid mode. Will not run only the ICE in e save mode.
I went to drive it today and it had a full charge. Drove it to my office and put it on charge. Went to go home for lunch and it did not charge, but I had fuel and would figure it out later. Was driving on a 4 lane highway and a turtle popped up on the screen saying it was going to slow mode and turned off 5 seconds later going 55 mph. Had a message on the display saying put in in park, foot on the brake and press the start button. After I drifted to the redlight I did that and nothing. The EV battery was dead, I had 1/8 tank of fuel and would not even try to start. Just sitting at a light at a busy intersection. After 10 minutes and a green light I pushed the start button again and it moved about 15' to right in the middle of the intersection and did it again. All dash lights we on and the message saying press brake, put it in park and start it but literally nothing happens. Luckily a tow truck driver was in another lane and he knew how to pop a cover by the shifter to pull a strap that puts it in neutral as long as the strap is being pulled. So he was able to push me to the side of the road. I was only 1/4 mile away from my office, so I towed it back with another vehicle and put it on charge. Lights came on saying charging system failure, check charger. I called roadside and they towed it to the dealer and I included the charger. To note - I've had this vehicle about 3 months and many times trying to put it in electric mode it will usually say "Electric system temporarily available" Sometimes going down hills in it usually switches to electric mode, but when i get to the bottom I have 0 (zero) power until i push the pedal all the way down and it kicks over to gas mode.
[XXX] driving car that we have owned for approximately 2 months 280 miles on busy road 4 way intersection at light stopped waiting for the turn left when car jolts as though we were rear ended but not. Then stops completely and shuts down with no indication of what is happening. Put hazard lights on trying ro get some control of car the system shut down and appeared to reboot taking 10 minutes. Very scary situation fortunately we were not in a high speed . Luckily the car started but now had an engine light on. Made it home contacted Arrigo dealer in West palm , fl but no calls back. Contacted the service department the next day 11/11/24 . They ran tests and said it needed a software update. Not sure why there was no notification and car dangerously shuts down. Picked up car on 11/12/24 to have Juan Gascon assure us it will not happen again. Not feeling great after reading info online. They did send a video from service had trouble uploading. 2024 Jeep Hybrid- one month into purchasing it in March of 2024, the engine completely blew. It was in the shop over a month waiting for a new engine. Last month, my charger would not charge the vehicle - they stated nothing was wrong and it was electrical in my own home which is incorrect considering we use the same outlet to charge another hybrid vehicle. This week, 200k jeeps (mine included) were recalled due to vehicles starting on fire from the charging. The recall states there is no fix at this time and to just not charge your vehicle. I paid much more for a hyrbid vehicle, and now unable to use it for safety reasons.
As I was driving on the interstate, a red turtle appeared on the control panel saying that power has been reduced. Approximately 2 minutes later the entire engine shut down at 55mph. I pulled over and placed the Jeep into park and attempted to restart the truck. The Jeep would power on and immediately shut off. I called a tow truck and had it towed to the dealership (Tate Chrysler and Jeep in Glen Burnie, MD) where it is currently being serviced.
VEHICLE LOST POWER AND SHUT DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DRIVING IN ESAVE MODE
All the warning lights came on while driving on the highway and the vehicle shutdown on its own. 3,000 miles on the vehicle. Seems like an electrical or software issue. Absolutely unacceptable. I am lucky I wasn’t hit.
The engine is running rough and loses power when it turns on for the first time and speeding up around 6th gear. Also the 2nd gear takes about 3-5 sec to downshift and you lose the opportunity to step on the gas hard or it will slam into another gear. The lose of power and random shifting causes you to slow down and not able to get out of the way or drive well esp. on the highway. The jeep dealer wants to keep the car for 4 days to trouble shoot. No lights or warnings it constantly does this and seems there is a tuning or computer issue. The car only has 8000 miles on it.
Now on Sunday August 11th at 6:08pm driving home from store with no charge on jeep at all, not in hybrid only gas, the jeep died in the middle of the road, it abruptly stopped with no warning, my body jerked forward and when I pushed down gas pedal there was nothing. There was no type of warning before this happened, no light warning on dash, no beeping NO WARNING. Thankfully the car behind me went around me and thankfully there was enough distance between us. I was on a back road thankfully right near an entrance of a park. After putting it into park is when it started binging at me and beeping and warning lights, service charging system light came on, check engine light. I tried turning it off and back on which I had power like my radio and lights on dash the whole time. I could not get car to go into neutral, I even turned off got out closed door and then tried again. Thankfully I was close to home called my husband who came, and he could not get into neutral and had to find the loop that put jeep in neutral manually and he towed me to a safer place. He then unhooked the negative battery terminal for 15min to see if that would at least reboot system which it did but drive home it was like a windup toy car very bucking. I did charge and took to dealership Monday it did buck once an. All of this was about an hour. Jeep is at dealership still. I do have pictures and video also
New car purchased 8/3/24. On 8/5/24, At 300 miles, red check engine light came on. Error code is Turbocharger issue per our code reader. Dealer informed us ok to drive until we could get in for service. At 500 miles, engine began to miss and would not accelerate (8/11/24). We barely made it home by driving under 45 miles per hour. Car towed to Jeep dealer on 8/12/24. Jeep dealer will not give us an expected repair timeline after 3 inquiries this week. It could be as long as 6 weeks per the dealership. This is our 6th Jeep Wrangler since 2009. This 2024 Jeep has a serious issue that needs immediate attention. Jeep should be held accountable and repairs to new vehicles with less than 1000 miles should be a priority. We are working with Jeep to see if a different dealer for repair is an option. Tennessee Lemon Law timeline of 30 days out of service is rapidly ticking away and Jeep does not care at all. I will upload repair documents when Jeep completes service.
In January 2024, on my way to work, the jeep engine randomly shut off. It was the middle of winter and temperature in the teens and that may have been a factor but I had already been driving 20-25 minutes so the car was sufficiently warmed up. After the random shutdown, I was able to park on the side of road but that's where it stayed all day. There was no warning. There were no lights or beeping. It just shut off and would not start again. At the end of work day (9 hours later), I returned to vehicle and it started. I did bring the vehicle in for service at a Jeep dealership for another separate recall issue and they said they could not duplicate the conditions of that morning to see if there was an issue with the engine or battery. There was nothing wrong from what they could tell and released the vehicle. I have not had the incident happen again but I did drive too much during winter months since it concerns me that this random shutdown could happen at any time without warning.
Driving Jeep down the road and it cuts off and comes to a halt. It will eventually start back up but check engine light comes on. Took to dealer and they claim it was a flash update, but it has now shut off on us again while driving it. This is VERY dangerous to say the least. Especially if it happens on a major busy highway. It could easily cause a wreck.
Vehicle has stopped and shut down 3 times this year. Unable to power back on. Stopped in the middle of the road. Requieres towing asístance all instances back to dealership for repair.
Vehicle has experienced a loss of power/throttle response. Also appears to have an issue with engaging and staying engaged in the drive position. At times when trying to place the vehicle in drive the dash indicator will blink "D1" and you have to return the vehicle shift lever to neutral or park and then back to drive to get the transmission to engage and allow the vehicle to move forward. Both issues have occurred while in 2 wheel drive on paved highway as well as in mild off-road conditions in both high and low range four wheel drive modes without the lockers engaged. Vehicle was taken to a dealer on 7/30/2024 and they checked for codes with the only code displayed relating to the collision detection system activation which has occurred while in four wheel drive modes at slow speeds. Vehicle is scheduled for further diagnostics on 8/19/2024 which was the first available service appointment.
After purchasing a new vehicle, 25 miles in a check engine hybrid system alert appeared. I returned the vehicle and was advised that this is an inherent problem with this vehicle and is part of a major recall and the parts needed are 6 months delayed!!
Car stopped dead with a total power failure in the left lane on [XXX] between NJ/NY. there was no warning light or any other prior notification to attempt to take evasive action. This was at night with other vehicles traveling at high speed on the road as well. Lucky to be alive. The vehicle was towed into the Jeep dealer on Rt 18 in New Jersey and they returned it saying they had applied a "software update." Glad they feel like a software update is worth someone's life. Vehicle engine shut down while driving and was disabled creating dangerous condition. Vehicle would not start and had to be towed to local service department
Driving along with traffic, in the middle lane of a 5 lane highway, a red turtle light suddenly appeared on my dash and my car instantly starting losing speed and acceleration at a very quick rate. On the middle of the dash my screen read "Push Break and Push Button to Start" (which it usually says when I get into my car to start it, but my car was still on and running). I quickly put my hazards on and was able to safely, with very little time, pull off the road to the shoulder as fast as I could. I put my car in park and then turned it off after examining the dash to see if any other lights were on. Nothing new had appeared and the turtle light was gone. I started my car up again, went to put it in Drive, but I could not get the vehicle out of Park. My shifter would not budge. Several attempts turning the vehicle off and back on and still could not get the vehicle out of park. All the usual lights turned on, the radio was on and working as usual. At this time, I did notice that the engine light on the dash was now lit up, along with a red battery light. A tow truck was called to come and tow the vehicle to the car dealer I leased it from. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in any vehicle, especially this new one. I just got this brand new '24 Jeep Wrangler 4xE in May 2024.
On two separate occasions while driving my vehicle, I lost the ability to accelerate although my car still appeared to be on and functioning normally. This resulted in me needing to pull over to a complete stop on the highway as the accelerator was completely ineffective and I continued to decelerate to unsafe highway speeds. I had to turn the jeep off and then back on to get it to work normally again. I contacted the dealership regarding this matter and they advised they did an “update” on the vehicle on 6/3/24.
I picked up my new wrangler from the dealer on Friday [XXX]. On Saturday [XXX], I was driving on [XXX] on my way to Amherst, MA. Since I was on the highway, I was traveling between 65-75 mph. About 30 minutes into the trip the vehicle began to jerk and the engine was sputtering. When pushing on the gas pedal the car would jerk and lose any acceleration. I began to slow down as the car jerked and lost all acceleration. I had to pull over on the busy highway as the car could not maintain speed over 30 mph. I luckily was about two miles from a rest area and I drove in the shoulder and exited. The check engine light was on and the engine was making a very loud noise and seemed to be stuck in a high gear. Once we were safely in the parking area, I turned off the engine and the vehicle was towed to a dealer in Albany NY. The car remained at the dealer and I picked it up on Wednesday [XXX]. The tech at the dealer said they applied a bunch of software updates, road tested it and everything seemed good. I picked up the car on Wednesday [XXX]. On Thursday [XXX] after driving roughly 30 miles in total, the vehicle did the same thing while driving. This time I was in a residential area. I had to turn around and lump to park the car in my parents driveway. The car was subsequently towed back to the repair shop on Friday [XXX]. I am currently awaiting an update on status.
Jeep keeps loosing power in electric mode on the highway
I was driving the car when I believe it was a red wrench w/ a bolt appeared on the dashboard. The car slipped out of gear and stopped running. This happened three while driving it which is a major safety issue. I was headed to the highway and decided to return home. I called the dealership and made a service appt for 6/27/24. A quick google search told me A LOT of people are having this issue and dealerships do not know how to solve it. I took the vehicle in for a diagnostic test which came up clean. The dealer said since it no error codes came up there wasn't anything they could do. Since that time it has not happened again, but I am concerned it will. I don't drive the car often (it's an extra car in the family) - it only has 330 miles on it (purchased in April of 2024)
Battery drains extremely fast Car stalls in hybrid and electric mode, multiple times daily Must floor pedal to get the car moving, then the electric light blinks Warnings keep coming up on dashboard to Service Hybrid Mode Electric Temporarily Unavailable keeps going on and off Heated seats and steering wheel barely get hot Speakers do not work on left side
We purchased the vehicle on March 23, 2024. A few days later, a couple of dozen miles on it, the vehicle started to constantly show the following message on the dashboard 'Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System'. We brought it to the dealership based on their earlies availability on April 17, 2024. They told us there's nothing wrong with the vehicle and it's safe to park inside our garage and we needed to wait for the 'harness' to arrive and be replaced. Finally on May 10th, 2024 the harness arrived and we brought the vehicle back to the dealership to perform the replacement. The vehicle has been in that dealership ever since and this past tuesday, June 18th, 2024 we were informed that the problem is now worse after attempting to repair it for about 40 days and that Jeep/Stellantis adviced the dealership to park the vehicle outside as it's not safe to park it inside anymore. Very scary for a brand new car! Please see attached pictures documenting the situation. The manufacturer refuses to apply the lemon law even though it has been well over 30 days and it hasn't been repaired.
I was making a right turn at approximately 20mph and the car stalled and gas pedal felt empty. I got the car into park. Then I tried to restart the vehicle in order to get it out of the road - I could not get into neutral to push out of the road. It stalled in the middle of the road which is extremely scary. It was approximately 4:20pm. I tried to restart to get into esave but it didn't start. The fuse box kept making clicking noises. It read "service charging system" and the check engine light came on. This problem is extremely.
I was driving and more then 10 times my car has stalled in the middle of the street while driving and the gear “D” began blinking and note has displayed on the screen saying “shift to P then to gear” and said “check transmission” after shifting to park, the car locked up and I then had to shut off the car, open the door and then turn the car back on to get it to drive again. This happened multiple times and happens every time the vehicle come to a stop at a red light or stop sign. I took the vehicle to the dealership and explained the problem and they placed me in a loaner car for a day or 2. When I was called to come the car everything seemed fine. They said the car “needed to be updated” I drove off and it was okay that afternoon and had no begun to stall and shut off in the street once again.
While driving in hybrid and the electric range ran out the Jeep shut off while driving. Wouldn’t start, had to remove the 12v battery positive and reconnect to start. Check engine light came on and truck ran rough. Safety issue with the truck shutting off while driving
While driving home from Cincinnati to Chicago, approximately 15 miles from my final destination at a stop light, the engine shut down and flashed “service charging system”. I was unable to restart the vehicle. I was stuck in the middle of the road - unable to move. Had to be towed. Currently sitting at the dealership. Told that it has something to do with a faulty power inverter.
On the 2nd and 4th day of owning the vehicle the engine stalled while stopped I'm traffic at a red light. Both times the dash flashed "service transmission" and then instructed me to place the vehicle in "park". Once in park the dash instructed me to push the "start/stop" button but nothing would happen. I was stuck for a few minutes each time in traffic until the whole system finally powered down and I was able to restart. I brought it to the dealer the evening of the second engine stall and the Jeep was there for over a month waiting for a new transmission. They replaced the transmission even though this was a brand new vehicle out of the factory with serious safety issues and should have never been sold in the first place. There are many people on the Wrangler 4xe forums with the same issue please issue recalls! People are at risk of injury or death!
2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. This is the second I bringing my wrangler to the dealership repair center within 30 day. first time they have replace new battery , I thought the problem had solved, and the same problem happened again. I drove to other state after one hour , dashboard cluster appeared red turtle and the Adaptive cruise control and engine warning light popped up. driving speed gradually drain to 2 mph. and I heard loud fan noise run at high speed, I have to wait 10 minute until the fan noise gone ,than I can continue to drive, luckily I can made it back home, second day I drive to the dealership , after 15 minutes driving the red turtle popped up again while I am driving on the highway. lost power again I then exit the highway , and wait until the the fan noise goes away, then I start the engine , the fan loud noise comes again, I shutoff the engine and waited again, I kept doing this 40 minutes , it still don't work I have to give up and called a tow truck to towed the 4xe wrangler to the dealership. repair time uncertain.
While driving on a busy road a red turtle error code popped up and my car went from 50mph to 5 mph very quickly almost causing an accident I am afraid to drive my 67000 car help
1. This vehicle has shut itself off three separate times since Tuesday, 29 January. This happens when using the "E-save" system;i.e. mainly the gasoline engine and the engine has not yet reached full operating temperature. It has happened only while stopped at a traffic light. I will contact my dealership Monday, 5 February. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2. Being stopped at a traffic light with a stalled vehicle immediately irritates the drivers behind or worse a driver approaching from behind with a green light. I could be rear ended. 3. I'm contacting the dealership Monday, 5 February. 4.No. 5.The "Service transmission" alert annunciates. All other normal indicators are still showing the radio continues to play, the turn signals function, etc. 6.The transmission must be placed into Park and the ignition switch shut off. At that time, a normal restart can be performed and the vehicle will continue. 6. The vehicle will restart
On [XXX], my wife was driving down the highway and vehicle started to "buck" and almost stalled out. Check engine light came. She was able to make it to the dealer. Dealer ran the diagnostics and received the P0032, P0171, P2097 and P0300 codes. The dealer found the attached document with basically no repair available. We contacted Jeep customer service and were told that it needs a software update, however, they did not know when it would be available. I was not satisfied with that answer and the case was transferred to Jeep retention. In the meantime, we picked up our Jeep and was advised by the service advisor that this is a known issue and advised us to keep the Star publication in the Jeep so if/when it happens again, they will know what to do. This isn't something we can fix since resetting the fuel system requires their equipment. Jeep retention just reiterated what customer service said. Needs software update and don't know when it's available. Jeep Customer Care case number is [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
When driving through the a parking lot on my way to work, my brand new Wrangler with just over 1000 miles stalled/stopped running and lost power steering and wouldn’t restart for about 10 mins. I got a bunch of error messages but I can’t remember them all but one was about servicing the charging station (it wasn’t plugged in) and I had a check engine light stay on after I finally got it to start. It’s currently at the dealership and the tech mentioned that he saw there was a PIM (power inverter module) code that looks to have malfunctioned. They haven’t been able to duplicate the error yet at the dealership. My safety will for sure be at risk if the dealership doesn’t fix it because my car could randomly turn off on the highway and could put me at risk of being hit or if I was crossing traffic and it stalled in the middle of a lane causing me to get or it could leave me stranded in a dangerous area. No one other than the dealership maintenance department a has inspected yet.
Defective throttle body at 77 miles
When coming to a stop light, vehicle stopped and shut off completely. It would stop for 3-5 minutes in order to be able to restart. This occurrence has happened no less than 6 times since purchase of vehicle (approximately 1 week old). Currently Jeep only has 426 miles. Very concerned about the safety. Luckily the automatic shut off has only happened when at a stop light. No this is not the engine shutting off and restarting after the gas is depressed. The Jeep simply will not move and you have to try and restart multiple, multiple times in order to drive it again. It will take anywhere between 3-5 minutes. Good afternoon. My name is [XXX] . On [XXX], I signed a two year lease on a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at Herb Chambers Jeep of Danvers, MA . Two days later on [XXX], the new Wrangler I had only driven 30 miles, stalled at a red light- less than a quarter of a mile from a railroad crossing. The vehicle was undriveable, was not able to be started let alone shifted into neutral. What was seemingly just an inconvenience at the time has raised some major safety concerns as a Jeep driver. My vehicle has been at the dealership for over 3 weeks after the initial day it was towed as it was completely undriveable. The department stated that it may need a new transmission, and this issue needed to be escalated to Jeep Corporation. After communicating with the service department it is my understanding that “if the same code does not arise, the vehicle can be returned to me.” After escalated, I was given the resolution that “it simply was a coding issue and the vehicle could be picked up.” I am highly concerned that a vehicle that has not had any maintenance rendered to it in the weeks (18 business days, which constitutes a Lemon Law in the state of Massachusetts) it has been at the dealership after it was completely stalled, can be returned to me without any answers other than “this happens sometimes.” As I know, since in the shop, only codes have been run and the vehicle has been driven by the foreman mechanic to try to elicit the same code from [XXX]. To my knowledge there are several cases similar to mine involved in a class action law suit. I would like light shed on this issue as it is highly alarming as a major safety concern. While merging onto the highway the car completely shut down thank god there was an exit and a traffic light and the car would not turn back on. This happened on 12/2/2023 it was towed to the dealership they told us it had a defective main battery and there were two blown fuses but they could not figure out why. Then on Wednesday 12/6/23 they called and said they figured it out and it was fixed. Then 3 days later on 12/9/23 the car shut down again this time it was parked it said it was running but it wasn't it was flashing that the HOOD WAS NOT LATCHED, SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM. the dealership has had the Jeep since 12/9/23 on 12/14/23 I received a vehicle health report SERVICE BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE, ABS FAILURE I thought maybe they were working on the car but my husband spoke to the service advisor and told him of the alert I received and he told my husband that, that was odd because the car was not being worked on. It is now 12/27 no phone calls returned and no update on the vehicle
I was driving when the car malfunctioned and gave a transmission error. It said to put the car on park and once I did, it said to have the transmission looked at. I was unable to cost to the side of the road, and my vehicle was in the middle of a busy street. The car lost power, and was unable to come back on, even though some parts were lit up. Once road service arrived, they charged the car and the car started and I was able to park it to have it towed.
