Upon reaching about 60 MPH on the freeway, the vehicle suddenly began to shake violently, severely reducing my ability to steer and control the vehicle. After quickly (and dangerously) reducing my speed, it stopped, but it occurred again two more times. I pulled over and turned the car off, did a quick inspection and found nothing out of order. When I resumed my trip, the problem did not occur again. After getting home, I searched the Internet and found out that my Jeep suffered from what is called the "Death Wobble". Apparently, Jeep has known about the problem for years and has not corrected this dangerous and scary defect.

When traveling on the highway if you switch lanes or hit a bump, the jeep shakes violently and you have to hit your brakes to make it stop. A rented vehicle of the same make model and year had the same issue for family members in September of 2024. We have been taking video, took it to jeep and the tech took it for a 3 mile ride (non highway) and said nothing is wrong but they recommended a dampener or stabilizers, but this jeep is $1100/month and brand new. There are no warnings, and the shaking is absolutely hard to control. Less than 10,000 miles and it’s a safety concern for any jeep on the highways. It’s dangerous for all vehicles to be around the jeep when it begins shaking. All we can do for now, unless we wreck, is video it’s issue. We have traveled from Kansas to Washington and are almost back to Kansas, but the issue has gotten more dangerous as we have traveled. It feels like the wheels will actually fall off the arms of the jeep. It’s incredibly scary. Video not an option to upload below, but we can get info from jeep tech showing we told them the issue. The jeep is available for inspection and the issue will not stop, it’s a constant and there’s no way this is normal.

I was making a right turn at approximately 20mph and the car stalled and gas pedal felt empty. I got the car into park. Then I tried to restart the vehicle in order to get it out of the road - I could not get into neutral to push out of the road. It stalled in the middle of the road which is extremely scary. It was approximately 4:20pm. I tried to restart to get into esave but it didn't start. The fuse box kept making clicking noises. It read "service charging system" and the check engine light came on. This problem is extremely.

On [XXX], my wife was driving down the highway and vehicle started to "buck" and almost stalled out. Check engine light came. She was able to make it to the dealer. Dealer ran the diagnostics and received the P0032, P0171, P2097 and P0300 codes. The dealer found the attached document with basically no repair available. We contacted Jeep customer service and were told that it needs a software update, however, they did not know when it would be available. I was not satisfied with that answer and the case was transferred to Jeep retention. In the meantime, we picked up our Jeep and was advised by the service advisor that this is a known issue and advised us to keep the Star publication in the Jeep so if/when it happens again, they will know what to do. This isn't something we can fix since resetting the fuel system requires their equipment. Jeep retention just reiterated what customer service said. Needs software update and don't know when it's available. Jeep Customer Care case number is [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

When driving through the a parking lot on my way to work, my brand new Wrangler with just over 1000 miles stalled/stopped running and lost power steering and wouldn’t restart for about 10 mins. I got a bunch of error messages but I can’t remember them all but one was about servicing the charging station (it wasn’t plugged in) and I had a check engine light stay on after I finally got it to start. It’s currently at the dealership and the tech mentioned that he saw there was a PIM (power inverter module) code that looks to have malfunctioned. They haven’t been able to duplicate the error yet at the dealership. My safety will for sure be at risk if the dealership doesn’t fix it because my car could randomly turn off on the highway and could put me at risk of being hit or if I was crossing traffic and it stalled in the middle of a lane causing me to get or it could leave me stranded in a dangerous area. No one other than the dealership maintenance department a has inspected yet.

Car lost power - Said to press the brake and start button to start car. Was able to cost to the side of the highway on a mountain overpass. Once I was at the side of the road Service Charging System Error was on and I had no power. The vehicle would not start. After a couple of minutes, the vehicle started. The check engine light is on now.
