FUEL VAPOR LINE BECAME DETACHED CAUSING FUEL LEAK IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO EXHAUST PIPE WHICH CREATED A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. I REPAIRED THIS DEFECT BY USING A CLAMP TO SECURE THE LINE BACK TO FUEL TANK. THERE ARE TWO OF THESE VAPOR LINES THAT ARE ON EACH END OF THE TANK AND THEY ARE NOT SECURED WITH CLAMPS FROM THE FACTORY. WITH THE AGING OF THE RUBBER VAPOR LINE IT CAN BECOME LOSE AND WHEN PRESSURE IN THE FUEL TANK INCREASES IT CAN CAUSE THE ONE OF THE LINES TO POP OFF. THIS RESULTS IN FUEL LEAKING AND CREATES A HAZARDOUS FIRE CONDITION SINCE THE EXHAUST PIPE RUNS NEXT TO THE TANK IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE.*AK
