Oil pressure sensor failed. Fixed that. Check engine light came back on with battery light. New alternator. Check engine returned for oil pressure sensor. Temp gauge is fine. Changed oil twice within 3 months. When replacing jeep alternator melting of wires to alternator had occurred. This seems to be an issue with this model.

My 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, has a non-functional horn and steering wheel controls, including cruise control and audio buttons, which stopped working in. I suspect a faulty clockspring, as these symptoms match issues in prior Jeep Wrangler recalls for 2007-2012 models (NHTSA campaign 11V528000), where clockspring failures also disabled horns and risked airbag malfunctions. My vehicle shows. This poses a safety risk, as the horn is critical for avoiding collisions. No repairs attempted yet, but similar complaints appear online from other 2013 Wrangler owners. Please investigate for a potential recall.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 60,742 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 62,724.

My airbag dash light is illuminated. I took it to Park Jeep and the error code suggests that it is the clockspring that should be replaced. - I bought a "legally imported from Canada" 2013 Jeep Wrangler from a large US non-Jeep dealer in 2016. It had 55k miles so it would have been out of warranty. Recently, I had the pab recall work done at a local Jeep dealership. About a month later, my airbag light started coming on intermittently. Because of the timing of the recall work, I went back to that dealership to have them diagnose/see if they were the cause/etc.. They diagnosed it as needing the clockspring. I have been told by two local Jeep dealerships and the folks at 1-877-amjeep that even though the extended warranty on the clockspring applies to ALL NAFTA market vehicles, they wont fix it under warranty. I was actually told, "...the warranty it didn't have at the time it crossed into the US was voided, thus nullifying any future extended warranty that could would have covered other parts." FCA did this extended warranty nonsense to avoid a recall, and if they arent honoring the extended warranty, then there ought to be a recall on the clockspring. MY airbag is NON functioning due to a manufacturing defect and FCA wont fix it. I cannot be the only person that is adversely affected by this.

ABS and check engine light. I am a rural mail carrier, because my ABS light is on it causes my jeep to not accelerate pulling away from mailboxes therefore putting myself and other drivers at risk. The problem has been reproduced at the dealer. Warning lights illuminated at 19687 miles and are still on to this day, no resolution from Jeep. Jeep engineer came to dealership and could not say what was wrong with vehicle.

My vehicle suddenly stops running as I'm driving down the road. This is an reoccurring problem that happens every few days. This does not issue a code nor does the check engine light come on. There is no rhyme or reason to the issue. Electrical does not go out only the ability to push the gas pedal. I have to pull over and turn off the jeep. It comes back on and runs after waiting 10 minutes. This is a hazard and can cause a wreck. It's an common problem with Jeeps as reported on the forums.

When driving down the road, the Jeep stops running. This is very dangerous and happens while driving at 55 mph. I’ve taken it to a mechanic and it will not throw a code. We’ve replaced the fuel pump, ignition, battery and alternator. Reading the forums and other online resources shows this is a common problem with multiple solutions. Jeep should recall any parts identified with this issue and be able to help correct this known issue. This is very unsafe. I do not have the money to spend and have no reliable transportation for employment. This has been such a hardship during such trying economic times.

Additionally, the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Mopar Performance 68018109AA A/C and Heater Actuator has failed 3 times. I've replaced the original and twice since. This part is a safety issue because it directed the heat to defrost/de-ice the Windshield and provide heat to the occupants. There is plenty of evidence on YouTube of Jeep owners replacing this part for years now and yet there has not been a Recall regarding this part. The last replacement part was in January 2020 and failed again which I just replaced. Three times since 2013 when I purchased the 10th Anniversary Jeep Rubicon new which is why I've had enough of MOPAR not caring about its customers

I just left my house and drove 2 miles at 25mph. My brakes went out then my vehicle caught fire with me and my two children inside. It is being inspected by insurance but there were no warning signs besides my brakes going out.

I WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY AT 60MPH DASH LIGHTS AND RADIO WENT OFF, THE ENGINE WENT OFF FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS THEN EVERYTHING CAME BACK TO NORMAL. THIS OCCURRED 3 TIMES IN THE NEXT 10 MINUTES. EACH OCCURANCE WAS THE SAME. RAN FINE AFTER THAT FOR 30 MINS. HAS NOT REOCCURED. TOTAL SHUT DOWN IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE HEARD REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO MANY JEEPS.

MY JEEP SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROADS AND GOING UP HILLS WITH OTHER VEHICLES PRESENT, NO CODES SHOW UP, DASH LIGHTS TURN RED WHEN VEHICLE IS OFF, MY JEEP MAKES FUNNY NOISES WHEN TURNED OFF, TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER 3 MONTHS SINCE I BOUGHT IT 3 MONTHS AGO AND THEY CAN'T FIX IT. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. THEY'VE TIRED EVERYTHING AND STILL NOTHING. IT'S GOING BACK IN AGAIN BECAUSE IT SHUT OFF ON ME GOING UP A HILL. THIS JEEP IS NOW BECOMING DANGEROUS TO MYSELF. YET THE JEEP STILL ISN'T GIVING CODES. I HAD TO GO BUY A CAR SCAN DEVICE PLUG IT IN AND RECORD DATA OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE JEEP SO THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAN SEE. NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THIS ISSUE, WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IS WHEN DRIVING MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER AT ALL MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND I INSTANTLY LOSE POWER PLUS MY ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS TURN ON AND I END UP GOING INTO LIMP MODE. IT MOSTLY HAPPENING ON THE FREEWAY AND GOING UP HILLS, BUT HAS ALSO BEEN HAPPENING EVEN WHEN IT IS IN PARK. MY JEEP HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP WITH A TRUSTED MECHANIC FOR 3 MONTHS AND HE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE ISSUE EITHER. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT ALL. PUT IN A NEW BATTERY AND WOULDN'T TURN ON. LEFT SITTING FOR A DAY. CHECKED IT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY, BATTERY WAS HOT AND CABLES WERE MELTING ON IT. TOWED IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP. SAID IT WAS TIPM . ORDERED A NEW ONE. AND JEEP STILL WILL NOT TURN ON. JEEP HAS BEEN AT A REPAIR SHOP FOR 3 MONTHS WITH NO SOLUTIONS YET. BILL IS RACKING UP JUST TRYING TO GET IT RUNNING.REPAIR SHOP HAS CHECKED EVERYTHING AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TIPM.

AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND SUGGESTED TO BRING A NEW IGNITION SWITCH IN; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. CLOCKSPRING RECALL: OTHER YEAR MODELS OF THE SAME GENERATION WRANGLER SHOW A CLOCKSPRING RECALL, BUT MY YEAR MODEL DOESN'T. MY CLOCKSPRING HAS FAILED NOW AND I LOST MOST OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, INCLUDING MY SAFETY HORN, AND IF MY RESEARCH IS CORRECT, MY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY NOW IF IN A COLLISION ACCIDENT. WHEN TURNING MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD TURN ON RANDOMLY, AND THEN WHEN DRIVING SHORTLY AFTERWARDS I WENT TO HONK AT ANIMALS IN THE ROAD AND THE HORN DID NOT WORK. THE NEXT DAY I NOTICED THAT THE RADIO AND DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT WORK EITHER.

VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN TO CALIFORNIA WHICH THE CHRYSLER JEEP CORPORATION SHOULD BE ABLE TO VERIFY USING THE ONSTAR SYSTEM INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. I WAS GETTING INTO MY VEHICLE AND TURNED ON THE CAR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER I TURNED IT ON MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS BEGAN STARTING (WITH THEM OFF) AND WOULDN'T STOP. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND THEY CONTINUED TO KEEP MOVING. I TRIED TO MOVE MY CAR INTO THE GARAGE AND MY CAR WOULDN'T COME OUT OF PARK. THEN I STARTED SMELLING A REALLY BAD SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING SO I CALLED MY LOCAL AUTO SHOP ASAP BECAUSE THE SMELL WOULDN'T STOP AND HE HAD ME DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO SHUT EVERYTHING OFF. MY CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO AN AUTO SHOP TO GET FIXED. I WAS TOP THE TIPM MODULE WAS FAULTY. I HAD TO GET A WHOLE ENTIRE NEW MODULE WHICH COST 1,200$. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE OF ME DRIVING THE CAR AND I WAS LUCKY THAT IT ONLY HAPPENED WHEN I WAS PARKED. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY MANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO DRIVE A CHRYSLER, DODGE, OR JEEP THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM IN OLDER MODELS. I FEEL VERY UNEASY DRIVING MY CAR NOW.

SOMETHING IS FAULTY WITHIN THE STEERING SYSTEM AND CLOCK SPRING. WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WITHOUT ANY FORM OF COLLISION TAKING PLACE. TRIED USING HORN TO SEE IF IT WORKED AND NO SOUND. TRIED USING RADIO CONTROLS NONE WORK. TRIED USING CRUISE CONTROL NOTHING WORKED. I HAVE TURNED THE JEEP STEERING WHEEL EVERY WAY AND NOTHING WORKS. WHICH CAN BE CHALLENGING WHEN YOUR IN THE LEFT HAND LANE OF A FOUR LANE INTERSTATE GOING 65MPH. THIS CAUSED A TRACTOR TRAILOR TO JACK KNIFE AND SLIDE DOWN THE INTERSTATE... LUCKILY, I AND THE FEW OTHERS ON THE ROAD AT THE TIME SURVIVED. AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE FIFTH TIME FOR THE SAME PROBLEM I STARTED RESEARCHING MYSELF. I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND IT APPEARS TO BE AN EPIDEMIC PROBLEM WITH THE 12-14 JEEPS WITH THE NEW PENTASTAR ENGINES. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT NO FCA/JEEP DEALERSHIP IN THE COUNTRY HAS FIGURED IT OUT. IF THOSE WERE THE FIRST WITH THE NEW MOTOR, IT STANDS TO REASON IF IT DOESN'T APPEAR THERE IS A FIX, THAT IT WILL CONTINUE. AND I CAN TELL YOU FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE FROM THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN DOWN SHIFTING TO GET POWER, OR WHEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR AFTER BACKING OUT OF A PARKING STALL. THE THROTTLE IS LOST COMPLETELY AND THE POWER STEERING AS WELL. YOU CAN TRY TO CRANK THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WILL NOT START UNTIL AFTER ABOUT FIVE TO TEN MINUTES. IT WILL THEN START UP AND DRIVE LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. NO CODES ARE SHOWN AND DEALERSHIPS HAVE NO WAY TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM UNLESS THEY CAN REPLICATE IT. THAT WOULD BE THE BEGINNING ANYWAY. IT SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE FIXED THAT MANY FINES AND CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. THESE JEEPS SHOULD BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND MORE BEING MADE FOR POSTAL VEHICLES. EVERY CARRIER OR PERSON I KNOW WITH ONE HAS THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. WHEN THOSE LIGHTS COME ON THE JEEP LITERALLY LOSES ALL POWER, IT STILL RUNS BUT TICKS AND SOUNDS LIKE IT IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP. I CANNOT HEAR THE PEOPLE ANYMORE THROUGH THE STEREO.

VEHICLE STALLS AT RANDOM TIMES BUT MOST OFTEN WHEN PUTTING INTO REVERSE AFTER SITTING FOR A WHILE. IT HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON MAJOR ROADS WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE THREATENING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VENT CONTROLS FAILED TO WORK FOR THE HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONER INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY ENGINE FAILURES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A MANUFACTURER RECALL WHERE THE DEALER REPLACED THE ENGINE SENSORS AND THE TRANSMISSION. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO PROVIDED NO SOLUTION AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, SMOKE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE AN INVESTIGATION. THE CONTACT WAS STILL WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY JEEP WAS PARKED ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE FOR ABOUT 13 HOURS AND A ELECTRICAL FIRE STARTED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AT AROUND 3AM. IT BURNED HALF THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING PUT OUT AND TOTALED OUT MY JEEP. IT ALSO DAMAGED THE ENTIRE BACK END OF THE CAR PARKED IN FRONT OF ME. CAR STALLED OUT WITH NO WARNING. WAS ABLE TO DRIFT TO SIDE OF ROAD, WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED BACK UP. AFTER IT HAD STALLED OUT AND WAS ON SIDE OF THE ROAD, IT SHOWED THE LIGHTNING BOLT IN THE VENTURI SYMBOL. I ESCAPED DEATH AND INJURY AGAIN. I HAVE DECIDED TO GET AN INSURANCE DEATH POLICY ON ME. I WOULD GUESS THE DELAY IS DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND FOR REPLACEMENT TIPMS BECAUSE THEY CONTINUE TO USE THE DEFECTIVE ONES IN MANUFACTURE. THIS JEEP IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD, AND I SEE THAT EARLIER YEARS HAVE HAD RECALLS FOR FAULTY TIPMS AND EVEN A LAWSUIT INVOLVING OLDER MODELS THAN MINE.. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM JEEP KNOWS ABOUT AND HAS EXPERIENCED FOR MANY YEARS WITHOUT CORRECTING IT.THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE CONTINUED TO KNOWINGLY INSTALL FAULTY TIPMS IN THEIR VEHICLES. DROVE DIRECTLY TO DEALERSHIP THAT SAID IT WILL TAKE WEEKS TO FIX. ALSO HAVE ISSUE WITH LURCHING TRANSMISSION AT BETWEEN 1500 TO 1600 RPM. IT CLUNKS INTO THE NEXT GEAR. ALSO, GETTING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH CIGARRETE LIGHTER. WHEN USING A CHARGER IN CIGARRETE LIGHTER THE RADIO DOES NOT WORK, IT BECOMES JUST STATIC.

MY TRUCK HAS BEEN BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE TWICE FOR REPEATEDLY STALLING WHILE IN MOTION. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR A COMBINED 56 DAYS. I FIRST BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE ON 1/13/2015, AFTER THE VEHICLE STALLED ON 1/9/2015 WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, AND 1/13/2015 WHEN ACCELERATING TO 50 MPH. MY VEHICLE WAS CLEARED TO PICK UP ON 1/24/2015 FOLLOWING SERVICE THAT INCLUDED COMPUTER UPDATES, PHYSICAL INSPECTION, AND ROAD TESTING. MY VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN ON 2/5/2015 WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY ENTRANCE RAMP. IN ALL THREE CASES, THE VEHICLE STARTED WITHOUT ASSISTANCE IN ABOUT TEN MINUTES. I IMMEDIATELY RETURNED MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER TO SEND A TECHNICIAN TO INSPECT MY VEHICLE. THEY NEVER DID. ON 3/6/2015, I CONTACTED JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUESTING ADDITIONAL HELP. MY CASE WAS REFERRED TO A SPECIAL CASE MANAGER WHERE MY CONCERNS WERE RUDELY DISMISSED. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED MULTIPLE TIMES BY THE DEALERSHIP TO PICK UP MY TRUCK SINCE 3/11/2015, DESPITE THE FAILURE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO IDENTIFY WHAT IS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. I DO NOT FEEL THE TRUCK IS SAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE A FAMILY AND WILL NOT PUT THEM AT RISK BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER ARE BEING NEGLIGENT. I WILL NOT PICK UP THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS IDENTIFIED AND REPAIRED, OR THE VEHICLE IS REPLACED. I HAVE SEEN A SIMILAR CASE INVOLVING A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER THAT STALLS FOR UNIDENTIFIED REASONS POSTED ON THE NHTSA WEB SITE. AS A RESULT, THE WINDSHIELD FRACTURED AND THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER FUSE BLEW OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE, THE WINDSHIELD AND THE FUSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER, AT CRUISING SPEED OF 45 MPH, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STARTED FLASHING RANDOM EMERGENCY ICONS. THIS FLASHING OF THE VEHICLES CLUSTER ALONG WITH SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAUGE MOVING ERRATICALLY CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES UNTIL IT STOPPED AND ONLY THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT REMAINED ON. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, WHICH SEEMED TO FIX THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE TRACTION LIGHT TURNED OFF AND EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE WORKING. THIS IS THE FIRST INCIDENT IN WHICH THE LIGHTS FLASH CONTINUOUSLY FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, PRIOR INCIDENTS HAD ONLY FLASHED THE CLUSTER LIGHTS A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEN THEY WENT BACK TO NORMAL. I PURCHASED THE JEEP WRANGLER NEW FROM DAVID STANLEY JEEP,IN MIDWEST CITY OKLAHOMA. THE VEHICLE HAD AFTERMARKET WHEELS AND TIRES ON IT BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. WHILE TAKING THE INITIAL TEST DRIVE I ASKED THE SALESMAN IF THE SPEEDOMETER HAD BEEN ADJUSTED FOR THE OVERSIZED TIRES. HE ASSURED ME THAT IT HAD BECAUSE THEY WOULD NEVER SELL ANYTHING THAT WASN'T RIGHT. ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I WAS PULLED OVER FOR GOING 30 IN A 25 ZONE. I HAD SEEN THE POLICE OFFICER PRIOR TO BEING PULLED OVER SO I CHECKED MY SPEED AND I KNEW I WAS GOING THE CORRECT SPEED. SINCE THAT TIME I MAKE IT A HABIT TO DRIVE BY THE MOBILE SPEED RADARS THAT ARE PLACED AROUND TOWN AND EVERY TIME MY SPEEDOMETER IS 5MPH OFF. AT THE TIME I FIRST TRIED OUT THE VEHICLE & PRIOR TO PURCHASE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD & IT HAD TO BE "JUMP" STARTED. I REQUESTED THAT A NEW BATTERY BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO DELIVERY. I TOOK DELIVERY & ABOUT A WEEK LATER WENT ON VACATION, DID NOT TAKE JEEP. IT WAS NOT DRIVEN FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS. WHEN I TRIED TO START IT THE JEEP WOULD NOT START, AS IF THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I JUMPED IT & CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT, EVERY DAY FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. AFTER A FEW WEEKS, I LET THE VEHICLE SIT FOR A DAY WITHOUT STARTING AND WHEN I TRIED IT WOULD NOT START. 8/19/13 TOOK JEEP TO THE DEALER TO GET PROBLEM WITH ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FIXED. THEY TIGHTENED THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL & REPROGRAMMED ONE OF THE COMPUTERS. 9/2/13 JEEP WOULD NOT START, HAD TO JUMP IT. DID NOT RUN IT OR TRY TO START IT YESTERDAY. 9/30/13 JEEP WOULD NOT START & WHEN I JUMPED IT THE UCONNECT SYSTEM WOULD NOT WORK.. TOOK IT TO DEALER. THEY THINK THE RADIO IS DRAWING CURRENT FROM BATTERY. THEY REPLACED RADIO. 10/21/13. JEEP WOULD NOT START AFTER SETTING TWO DAYS. TOOK IT BACK TO JASPER JEEP. THEY ARE GOING TO TRY PUTTING A NEW BATTERY IN IT UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE A BATTERY POST. SERVICE MANAGER CHECKED THE RECORDS AND COULD NOT FIND WHERE A NEW BATTERY HAD BEEN INSTALLED PRIOR TO PURCHASE. 12/30/13 9:15AM TRIED TO START JEEP, IT WOULD NOT START. GOT CLICKING SOUND LIKE LOW BATTERY, INTERIOR DASH LIGHTS WERE ON. THERE WAS A NEW DASH WARNING LIGHT ON, IT IS A RED LIGHTING BOLT. 9:38AM. STARTED IT & AFTER IT WAS CONNECTED TO "START CAR" FOR A MINUTE IT STARTED. LET IT RUN FOR A COUPLE MINUTES SHUT IT OFF & IT STARTED OK. RED LIGHTING BOLT NOT ON. DROVE MY JEEP ABOUT 45 MIN.TO MY SON'S HOUSE TURNED OFF THE KEY GOT OUT OF THE JEEP AND LEFT IT FOR ABOUT 45 MIN. WHEN I CAME BACK TO IT, IT WAS STEAL RUNNING WITH THE KEYS IN MY POCKET. AND IT WAS COVERED WITH STEAM I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO CATCH FIRE WE TRIED TO TURN THE MOTOR OFF BY PUTTING THE KEY BACK IN BUT IT STEEL RAN FOR ABOUT 30 MORE MIN. BEFORE WE PULLED THE FUEL PUMP FUSE OUT. JEEP AND THE DEALER I GOT THE JEEP FROM HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND HAVE ALMOST CALLED ME A LIAR.
