I was driving on I35 on 10/23/2025 when I saw a small spark then my vehicle caught fire and i exited the vehicle called 911 Lewisville Fire Department and was informed that they responded to vehicle fire on 10/23/2025 at 9:45 pm, their case number is 2025-0012175. The representative stated that the Lewisville Police Dept. also completed a report, case number 250068809.
ABS MODULE FAILING IN 1000'S OF VECHILES AND JEEP HAS NO SOLUTION TO ANY CUSTOMERS. NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE WORLD WIDE. LEAVING PEOPLE STRANDED IN REMOTE PLACES UNABLE TO USE A EXPENSIVE VECHILE. ABS MODULE FAILS AND THEN YOUR VECHIL IS STUCK IN GEAR WILL NOT CHANGE GEARS IN THE TRANSMISSION, SPEEDO FAILS AND VECHILE SITTING ON BICKS FOR YEARS UNTIL SOME TIME A PART BECOMES AVAILABLE IN A SCRAPYARD.
I had repairs done to my Jeep in April 2024. At that time, I was made aware that my ABS control module was faulty and no longer functioning. I have been periodically checking with my mechanic and online to check the status of this part, only to find that it has been an ongoing issue with some models having this part unavailable since 2019. At the end of October 2025, I began having a major safety issue in which my Jeep's engine will shut off without warning and the only reason I will be aware is because the wheel will no longer turn easily (trying to turn without power steering). In addition, there will at times be a fluctuation of power either having a an extreme spike or drop in RPMs causing the Jeep to lurch while driving. The cruise control cannot be used with this issue, and I have also experienced malfunctions in the traction control (i.e. hydroplaning in a very small puddle in the road that a normal car could handle, let alone a Jeep). I have been waiting patiently for a year and a half and there are no updates available for Jeep owners, and the issues caused by this lack of parts could cause fatalities on the road or leave individuals with a very expensive, undrivable vehicle followed by the additional cost of purchasing a new vehicle. This is unacceptable for an extremely large and popular vehicle manufacturer to be unable to come to an agreement with parts manufacturers to resume production of a crucial vehicle part.
Anti-Lock Braking System Pump #68259556AD failure leaving the vehicle immobilized, dealership/manufacturer have NOT had replacement for over 3 YEARS now, many Mopar cars are suffering from this safety issue of not having ABS, and not having a solution for this problem
The ABS light on my instrument panel has been going off for Since April 2025. I have attempted to order a replacement ABS Control Module, but Stallantis keeps canceling the order with no reason provided. This appears to be a long ongoing problem, and others have reported waiting years for a replacement. I have also heard reports that Stallantis is no longer making the part. I understand that NHTSA has forced a recall on other Jeep/Ram ABS Control Modules, so I'm not sure why one has not been placed on the Jeep JK series.
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the ongoing issue with the ABS control module in my vehicle. For the past two years, this component has been faulty, leaving me without ABS functionality, traction control, and proper braking performance. As a result, I have experienced several dangerous situations in which my vehicle was nearly involved in accidents due to these safety deficiencies. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter, I have been unable to obtain the replacement part. I have contacted multiple dealerships, suppliers, and even Mopar directly, yet I have been given no estimated timeframe for delivery. I currently have the part on order, fully paid for, and after two years there is still no indication of when or if it will become available. This situation has created serious safety concerns for both myself and other motorists. Furthermore, I am unable to trade in or properly service my vehicle due to this unresolved issue. I find this unacceptable and believe it demonstrates a significant failure in both product support and customer service. I respectfully request immediate action to resolve this matter, whether through expedited access to the replacement part, an alternative solution, or other appropriate corrective measures. My priority is ensuring my vehicle is safe to operate, and I urge you to address this situation without further delay.
ABS module failure causing electrical issues and making car unsafe to drive. Spedometer works intermitently, jeep become unresponsive. Been on jeep forums and realized im not alone in having this issue or the long wait for the replacement module incidicating high depend for replacements
My 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited started throwing the motor in limp mode. Had it checked out and it's the TIPM and the wiring harness. As I dug into that some 2014 jeeps already have a recall on this. But I cannot find on my VIN. Could this be a needed recall that this jeep needs to be added too? Help please.almost caused an accident 3 different times throwing a brand new motor into limp mode
My ABS modular sensor is bad causing my cruise control not to engage, When traveling down the interstate while in cruise control it will just off the traction control light will come on and shut my cruise control off unexpectedly and rapidly slowing me down, unexpected. This is a safety issue
Abs ,traction control, and brake lights stay on I took it to the dealer they told me it was internal failure on the abs module I can't afford 1200$ to fix it I'm in a jeep club this is a common problem it should be recalled and fixed for free it's a safety hazard. And you lose power you can't even pass another car when all the lights are illuminated.

AT 70+ MILE HOURS SPEEDS WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A DEADLY ACCIDENT INVOLVING NUMEROUS DRIVERS! THIS (TIPM) PART HAS A MAJOR RECALL FOR MANY CHRYSLERS MODELS. IT DOES NOT SHOW FOR OUR VIN BUT WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT ISSUES AS DESCRIBED FOR THIS SPECIFIC RECALL. COSTS INCLUDE TOW FEES, REPAIR QUOTE AT OVER $1700.00, TIME IN SHOP WITHOUT A CAR ALL SIGNIFICANT. CONCERN: WILL IT HAPPEN AGAIN ? REQUEST RECALL REIMBURSEMENT THAT SHOULD QUALIFY FOR OUR VEHICLE AS WELL !!
Tipm issues
ABS anti lock break system , intermittent warning on the dashboard, brake and traction lights. Pep boys and auto zone both describe there is an internal malfunction with no specific codes , they can not prescribe a fix as the speed wheel sensors are working ok. Jeep forums say it may not be safe to drive as wheels may lock under hazardous driving conditions.
Driving sometimes with cruise on and sometimes not or going up a slight inclined the car will lose RPM goes down and then back up. I Was merging on to a highway went to give it gas and RPM goes down and I had 2 semis coming up on me so had to pull over to shoulder. It is very unsafe because you just dont know when it is going to do it. Have had it in to dealership computer and no code. But very very frustrating. They have put computer on and drove around and of course it wouldnt do it. We are at our end of the rope we don't know what to do. Service dept just said if it doesn't throw a code cant do anything. I guess when we get hit they wiil do something.

Additionally, the PCM software was updated, and the infotainment system was replaced. The contact also stated that the fuel gauge provided inaccurate readings and would not read that the fuel tank was full. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice for fuel gauge failure. The dealer performed a PCM software update for fuel sender recalibration and replaced the fuel pump module. The contact stated that the traction control warning light illuminated intermittently, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced an unknown sensor. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing an electrical draw, and the battery was replaced four times. The vehicle was taken to the second dealer McCord's - Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (990 Tennant Way, Longview, WA 98632) where it was diagnosed that the electrical draw was due to a failure of the instrument cluster electrical wiring or a failure of the electrical wiring underneath the dashboard. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

Bad clock spring. Air bag light will not go off, even after passenger air bag was replaced for recall.. also no controls will work on the steering wheel.
Clock spring, which is located behind the steering wheel, has become bad and no longer works. This affects the horn’s ability to function.
I was driving the vehicle at 30 miles per hour and the engine accelerated to 60 miles per hour on it's own. before I could get it to stop. This occurred on 4 different occasions of the vehicle accelerating on it's own. The vehicle was only able to get under control by stepping on the brake hard placed the vehicle in neutral and shut off the Key. Some one could of been killed. No Dick Chrysler dodge stated they would have to drive it to see if there was an issue and charge an outrageous amount of money to determine if there was an issue. I know there is an issue. No one has inspected it as there was no accident There were no warning signs that came on. The first occurrence of the issue was on 8-
Fuse box on right hand side of engine compartment caught fire and was smoldering. Jeep at time was turned off and in a parked position when this occurred. Tail lights were flashing and windshield wiper were going without being turned on. Remote would not unlock Jeep and entire cabin was filled with smoke. If I had been driving vehicle, I would have been unable to stop. Auto Gear Shifter locked up and I would have been unable to see how to drive due to amount of smoke entering cabin and all power components failing.
TIPM MALFUNCTIONING. JEEP INDICATING DOOR AJAR/NOT IN PARK. VEHICLE HAS INDICATED OTHER PROBLEM VIA DASH WHILE DRIVING. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD NEEDED NEW TIPM.
THE IGNITION APPEARED TO GO OUT ON OUR 2014 JEEP WRANGLER. WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THERE WAS NO SOUND. IT DID NOT TRY TO CRANK. ALL OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS LIKE HEADLIGHTS, RADIO, ETC STILL WORKED. I TOOK IT TO AUTO NATION JEEP IN ROSEVILLE AND THEY SAID THE TIPM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT $1400. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE GARAGE.

VEHICLE SHOWING CEL (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) WITH NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES NOTED. CODE READ AND SHOWS P0520 RELATED TO THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR SWITCH. AFTER REVIEWING FORUMS, DETERMINED THAT A TSB EXISTS BUT NO RECALL ALTHOUGH THE DESIGN OF THE UNIT HAS BEEN CHANGED DUE TO DEFECT. REPLACING THIS UNIT TOOK A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AND EFFORT AS A LARGE AMOUNT OF THE TOP HALF OF THE MOTOR HAS TO BE REMOVED TO REVEAL THE SENSOR. REPLACED AND VEHICLE HAS BEEN OPERATING FREE OF THE CEL SINCE THAT TIME AND ACCURATE OIL PRESSURE READINGS ARE BEING RECEIVED. WITHOUT THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE CANNOT PASS A NYS SAFETY INSPECTION AND FEATURES OF THE VEHICLE ARE DISABLED.

FOUR MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING A USED WRANGLER UNLIMITED I GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND CODES P0205 AND P0305. UPON READING UP ON THESE CODES IT IS A VERY WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINE. THE INJECTOR COIL HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED IN CYLINDER 5 SO MY GUESS IS THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE SAME ISSUE. IT HAS SLIGHTLY OVER 60,000 MILES ON IT AND IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER ENGINE WARRANTY. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED TO ME WAS AFTER A 120 MILE DRIVE. I STOPPED FOR GAS AND WHEN I TURNED THE JEEP BACK ON THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. *TR

MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS ISSUE IS CAUSED BY THE "CLOCK" SPRING ASSEMBLY BEHIND THE AIR BAG. JEEP CURRENTLY HAS A RECALL OUT FOR RHD WRANGLERS AND THEIR CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY. I BELIEVE THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES WITH THE LHD (LEFT HAND DRIVE) MODELS AS WELL. I AM TAKING THIS TO THE DEALER IN THE MORNING. NOTE THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR NOT.

ON 2-18-2019 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM US CUSTOMER CARE AT FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOTIVE, AND TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF THE AREA MANAGEMENT REFUSAL TO OPEN A "STAR" MY CASE WITH THEM HAS BEEN CLOSED.

I REPORTED TO MY DEALER APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE IN 2014 THAT AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE IN MOTION ALL SAFETY LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE, THE RADIO WOULD GO OFF AND THERE WOULD BE A DING NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I EVEN TOOK IT IN ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SINCE IT HAPPENS WHILE IN MOTION. THEY HAVE TEST DROVE IT BUT NEVER COULD GET IT TO DO WHAT I DESCRIBED. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS IN DECEMBER 2018. IT JUST HAPPENS RANDOMLY, BUT IS VERY SCARY AND SEEMS DANGEROUS SINCE ALL THE SAFETY LIGHTS ILLUMINATE, RPM GAUGE DROPS ETC PUTTING IT IN NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE IT SEEMS TO CORRECT ITSELF, BUT IT IS STILL VERY CONCERNING

WHILE DRIVING MODERATE SPEED ON A RURAL RD (EST MILES 115K), ALL RED & YELLOW LIGHTS CAME ON, "NO BUS" LIGHT CAME ON WHICH IS NOT LISTED IN THE OPS MANUAL, WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON, RPM GAUGE WENT TO ZERO, FUEL GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY, ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING AND ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH TO POSSIBLE STALL. WITHIN A PERIOD OF TIME 10 MIN OR SO EVERYTHING CAME BACK TO NORMAL AND JEEP RAN OK. THIS HAS HAPPEN TO MY WIFE WHO IS A RURAL MAIL CARRIER ON MANY OCCASIONS. IN FACT IN 1 WEEK IT HAPPENED EVERY DAY AND IT HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES OVER A LONG PERIOD. JEEP SERVICE FOLKS DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM AS THE CODES DO NOT PIN POINT THE PROBLEM. THEY "THINK" POSSIBILITY IT COULD BE PWR FUSE BOX, MAIN COMPUTER OR FWD INSTRUMENT PANEL EA AT A COST OF OVER $1000 TO REPLACE. SERVICE FOLKS WANT T JEEP BROUGHT TO THEM WITH LIGHTS ON, GAUGES ZERO, ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING BUT IT'S AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND THEY ARE 30 MILES OR MORE AWAY DEPENDING WHERE THE PROBLEM HAPPENS. SERVICE FOLKS HAVE HAD THE JEEP FOR A TOTAL OF 3 DAYS IN JAN & FEB AND DROVE IT OVER 150 MILE AND THE PROBLEM NEVER APPEARED. IN FEB 2015 WHILE DRIVING (24,171 MILES) THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME "ON" AND JEEP STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS RESTARTED AND DRIVEN SO JEEP WAS THEN TAKEN TO DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT A FAULT CODE SAID "WIRING DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH SLACK BETWEEN SENSOR & WIRING CAUSING POOR CONNECTION". REPLACED CAM SENSOR & WIRING. FAULT CLEARED. HAVE PHOTOS OF DASH WITH "ALL LIGHTS AND GAUGES SHOWING ZERO AND NO BUS LIGHT ON AND WIPERS GOING BACK AND FORTH. I'LL SEND IF YOU NEED THEM BUT IT ALL LIGHTS AND GAUGES WHICH ARE DEPICTED IN THE OPS MANUAL. THIS POSSIBLE ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING AND POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL FIRE IS A SAFETY ISSUE. 2014 WRANGLER HAS KNOWN FAULTY OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT SENSOR AS THERE WAS A TSB ON JULY 15, 2014 STATING SUCH. TSB # 18-034-14 REV. IT WAS ALSO STATED THAT TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND FUEL INJECTOR RAIL WOULD NEED TO BE REMOVED. I HAVE TO EASE OFF THE GAS AND LET IT ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY. THE TIPM WAS REPLACED (FOR THE THIRD TIME SINCE I'VE OWNED THIS JEEP) AS WAS THE PUMP.

AS I WAS DRIVING IN THE LEFT LANE, A DRIVER IN THE RIGHT LANE BEGAN TO CHANGE LANES AND NEARLY SIDESWIPED ME. I WENT TO HONK MY HORN, BUT IT DID NOT WORK. FORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC - I HAD TO MOVE INTO THAT LANE TO AVOID BEING HIT UNTIL THE OTHER DRIVER NOTICED ME. I CHECKED BOTH FUSES (APPARENTLY THERE IS A LEFT AND RIGHT HORN FUSE) AND BOTH LOOKED FINE. THE VEHICLE IS BACK IN THE SHOP AGAIN. IT HAS ALREADY HAD THE TIPM MODULE REPLACED TWICE (NOVEMBER 2014 AND MARCH 2015) SO IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME IF IT'S GOING TO HAVE TO BE REPLACED YET AGAIN. *TR

AT AROUND 3:45 AM, WHILE I WAS SLEEPING, THE HORN ON STARTED INTERMITTENTLY BLARING. I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND THE REVERSE LIGHTS WERE ON (AT FULL BRIGHTNESS). FOR THE NEXT HOUR, IT WOULD START AND STOP RANDOMLY. I FINALLY DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY IN FRUSTRATION. EARLIER THE PREVIOUS EVENING, THE HEADLIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON. I HAD NOT USED THE JEEP FOR THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS. THIS ISSUE IS CLEARLY RELATED TO THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONCE IN THIS VEHICLE (WHICH HAD CAUSED THE JEEP TO STALL -- AND COMPLETELY DIE -- SEVERAL TIMES). I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY WITH THIS VEHICLE AND THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT HAS ALREADY COST SOME PEOPLE THEIR LIVES. I STARTED JEEP, THE RADIO CHANNEL MYSTERIOUSLY CHANGED, DROVE APPROX 1 MILE, CAME TO A STOP LIGHT AT A BUSY MOUNTAIN INTERSECTION AND THE ENTIRE JEEP BLACKED OUT, I LOST ALL FUNCTIONS, WE WERE ALMOST REAR ENDED AND T BONED AT THE SAME TIME, RETURNED THE JEEP TO PARK AND RESTARTED. I TOOK THE JEEP TO DEALER THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T RECREATE PROBLEM, I DROVE JEEP OFF THE PROPERTY ONLY TO HAVE IT DIE AT THE FIRST TRAFFIC LIGHT, PUT INTO PARK RESTARTED ONLY TO HAVE IT DIE AGAIN. FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO JEEP, THEY'VE HAD IT FOR A WEEK AND THEY CLAIM THEY STILL CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. I DON'T TRUST THE VEHICLE NOR DO I FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE IN THE MOUNTAINS WHICH IS WHERE I LIVE. ALSO NOTE, THE ENTIRE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER, SO DOES THAT MEAN THE AIRBAGS WONT DEPLOY. JEEP COMPLETELY DIED (LOST ALL POWER, INCLUDING ALL ELECTRICAL, BRAKE LIGHTS, PANEL LIGHTS, ETC) IN CONDO PARKING LOT. GOT OUT TO START PUSHING IT BACK TO PARKING SPOT, AND A FEW SECONDS LATER THE DOOR CHIME STARTED AND POWER WAS RESTORED. RADIO WAS BOOTING UP FROM COLD START (SHOWING GARMIN LOGO). RESTARTED CAR, IT TURNED OVER AND STARTED NORMALLY. STARTED DRIVING FORWARD AGAIN, AND IN ABOUT 20 FEET, IT COMPLETELY DIED AGAIN IN THE SAME WAY, AND CAME BACK TO LIFE ABOUT TEN SECONDS LATER. DECIDED IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART AGAIN AND REVERSE TO PARKING SPOT. JEEP WAS TOWED ON NOVEMBER 3 AND REPAIRED ON NOVEMBER 4 WHEN THE PART CAME IN. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TIPM WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW VERSION THAT DIDN'T HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEMS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL MALFUNCTIONED AND THE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY. THE DEALER MADE SEVERAL REPAIRS ON THE VEHICLE, WHICH INCLUDED THE HVAC MODULE, CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON, RADIO, IGNITION SWITCH, TIPM AND CONFIGURED A MODULE. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,600.

I HAVE A TWO MONTH OLD JEEP WRANGLER 2014, 4 DOOR WITH 1898 MILES ON IT AND IT WOULDN'T START. IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. WE TRIED TO JUMP START IT AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED. TOWED IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY WERE PERPLEXED AND NEEDED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND THEY WERE NOT GETTING POWER TO ANYTHING AT ALL AND HADN'T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. AFTER KEEPING IT FOR A DAY THEY SAID IT WAS THE PDC BATTERY MAIN POWER CABLE THAT WAS NOT ELECTRICALLY TIGHT. THE INTERESTING THING IS IT STILL HESITATES TO START ON OCCASION AND IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR. ON JULY 3, 2014, THE VEHICLE LOST ENGINE POWER WHILE I WAS DRIVING DURING A 150-MILE ROAD TRIP. UPON COASTING FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, ENGINE POWER RESTORED, AND I WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE AND CONTINUE DRIVING WITHOUT FURTHER TROUBLE THAT DAY. I DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR BECAUSE I ASSUMED IT WAS AN ISOLATED EPISODE. HOWEVER, ON JULY 22, 2014, I AGAIN HAD TROUBLE WHILE ON ANOTHER 300-MILE ROUND-TRIP ROAD TRIP. DURING THE RETURN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE LOST ENGINE POWER AT LEAST SIX TIMES BOTH ON THE INTERSTATE AND ON LOCAL ROADS. EACH TIME, I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SO AS TO NOT BLOCK THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. AFTER A SHORT TIME, ABOUT 30 SECONDS, ENGINE POWER RESTORED, AND I WAS AGAIN ABLE TO ACCELERATE AND CONTINUE ON WITH MY TRIP. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER ON JULY 23, 2014, WHERE IT WAS KEPT UNTIL JULY 28, 2014. THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE, AND THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE IDENTIFIED. SOFTWARE UPDATES WERE RUN IN AN ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I AGAIN HAD TROUBLE WITH THE VEHICLE ON AUGUST 18, 2014, WHEN DRIVING A 400-MILE ROUND-TRIP ROAD TRIP. DURING THE DRIVE, THE VEHICLE LOST ENGINE POWER FIVE TIMES ON THE INTERSTATE, AT SPEEDS UP TO 70 MILES PER HOUR. UPON THE FIFTH EPISODE THAT DAY, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CLOSEST DEALER FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION, AS I FEARED I WOULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BY LOSING ENGINE POWER WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE, BUT THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT HE SAW SIGNS OF THE PROBLEM I DESCRIBED DURING HIS EVALUATIVE DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS RELEASED TO ME AND I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE USUAL DEALER THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR A MORE COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION. UPON DRIVING IT FOR OVER 100 MILES, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND, THUS, AGAIN HAS BEEN UNABLE TO IDENTIFY AND REPAIR THE ISSUE. *TR

ENGAGING IN THE SLIGHTEST LOAD WHILE 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRAIN WAS ENGAGED (OFF ROAD) IMMEDIATELY REPLICATED SEVERE OVERHEATING CONDITION OF BOTH TRANNY AND BLOCK COOLANT. VEHICLE WAS OPERABLE AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURES AT HIGH SPEEDS IN TWO WHEEL DRIVE WHILE ON PAVEMENT ONLY.
