Under recall 78C, Sand Contaminated Engine, I was advised by the manufacturer FCA to contact the dealership immediately if there were any unusual sounds/movements while operating the vehicle. On January 10th, 2026, the vehicle is noted to be making a new clicking/vibration sound. I contacted the dealership Milton Ruben Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Augusta GA who towed the vehicle to their location. Upon vehicle arrival, the sales manager Ben at number [XXX] called this consumer and stated he did not want the vehicle and wasn't going to service it because they catch on fire, and that he will just place it on the back lot. So now I am without a safe vehicle to drive and this is a leased vehicle that is under manufacturer warranty. While driving, the vehicle lost all propulsion and came to a stop. Fortunately my wife was able to pull to the side of the road safely. It has not been inspected because we believe it falls within the A7C recall for which there is no current remedy.

After a bad OTA update in October, in November before the stop charge recall was issued I noticed on Nov 21, when in "ELECTRIC" mode, after 10 or so minutes of driving the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate past half application of the accelerator. This lack of power continues until the accelerator is FULLY pushed on the floor forcing the gas engine on and causing immediate and dangerous acceleration. After this incident on the 11/21, I didn't charge again until I had the 68C recall performed where the dealer told me they think it's fixed. On my way home from the dealer it happened again. From here I emailed the dealer over the holiday and sent them videos of the problem. I opened a case with Jeep and brought it in. I was then told they replicated my issue but that it's normal now since all the updates. They refused to go for a quick ride along and closed my Jeep case with no resolution or help. This problem that did not exist before the OTA update. I don't know if it's related to the OTA update or related to the A7C recall, wither way I don't feel safe driving this with any amount of charge in it, even though the dealer gave an OK to charge. The dealer wants nothing to do with addressing this because I think they can't fix it since there is no CEL or codes in the computer. I don't know what to do from here. You will find attached the email chain and see YouTube addresses. I can share these directly if needed or produce much better ones. This is completely repeatable and consistent.

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, while driving approximately 70 mph on US-30 in Indiana, my vehicle suddenly displayed a warning indicating speed would be limited and that I needed to place the vehicle in Park and restart it. At the time, I was traveling in the left lane with semi-trucks beside and behind me. The abrupt loss of speed and ability to accelerate created an immediately dangerous situation. Luckily, I was able to maneuver across traffic to the right shoulder. After placing the vehicle in Park and attempting a restart, the vehicle did not recover as expected and could not be shifted out of Park. I was stranded on the shoulder of a high-speed highway with heavy truck traffic. I have an open case with Jeep Customer Care and have made numerous calls. I have been routed between Customer Care, the Recall team, and Roadside Assistance. The vehicle currently has multiple open recalls, including those for potential power loss due to software defects, engine contamination with debris that can cause failure, fire risk, or loss of drive power, and fire risks from the hybrid battery system. No representative can confirm whether these recalls are related to my failure, despite the symptoms (sudden speed limitation, failure to restart, and inability to shift out of Park) closely matching descriptions in the power loss and engine failure recalls. On December 18th I was promised a case manager callback within one business day. That did not occur. I called again 12/22 and was routed to Roadside Assistance again, which cannot help me, and then to Recall and I just received a supervisor callback from the Recall department, and he provided no additional resolution. I have repeatedly requested escalation in all of my calls and have been continuously told there is no escalation. Not only is this a serious safety risk, but a complete failure by Stellantis/Chrysler/Jeep to provide any resolutions to a very serious problem.

This vehicle had multiple issues as a 1 year old vehicle. Shaking in the front end on the highway, leading to replacing front sway bar and dampeners. Now multiple fire hazard recalls for the battery and for engine while driving, charging, and just being parked. The vehicle has shut off while driving placing my life and others at risk in the road. No warning lights prior to any of these issues.

Dec 27, 2025

My vehicle is subject to two open safety recalls: 68C (PHEV High Voltage Battery) and 78C (PHEV 2.0L Engine Fire / Loss of Propulsion). Recall 78C currently has no available remedy and involves risk of engine fire and sudden loss of propulsion without warning. The manufacturer has issued guidance advising modified use and safety precautions, including parking the vehicle outside and avoiding certain operating conditions. Based on these warnings and the lack of a remedy, I do not feel safe operating or using the vehicle as intended. I contacted Jeep/Stellantis Recall Customer Care multiple times and was assigned a case number. However, no loaner vehicle or transportation assistance has been provided, my assigned case manager and supervisor did not follow up, and my local Jeep dealer has not contacted me to schedule service or provide alternatives. Due to the unresolved safety recall, lack of remedy, and lack of manufacturer follow-through, I am unable to safely use the vehicle.

Dec 21, 2025

There are currently 3 safety recalls; 2 with no remedies or repairs. Both recalls explain there is an imminent risk of safety. 1 recall has had no solution for over 60 days. I can’t use my vehicle as intended as it is recommended not to charge the battery.

Dec 18, 2025

Vehicle experienced multiple simultaneous powertrain diagnostic trouble codes related to oxygen sensors and fuel controls, including O2 Sensor heater circuit high voltage, O2 Sensor circuit high voltage on multiple banks, rich fuel trim condition and manufacturer specific powertrain logic fault. vehicle in stock, under warranty and driven only on city roads. No off-road use or physical damage present. Issue appears to be systemic rather than isolated sensor failure and may involve wiring harness routing, sensor heater control systems or PCM Software logic. Symptoms include persistent check engine light and emission related faults that could lead to catalytic converter damage if left unresolved.

Dec 18, 2025

Recall 68c recommends against charging, therefore impacting our fuel consumption negatively. This therefore is costing additional money to use this transportation. Also, it is nearly impossible to follow the recall guidelines for keeping away from structures and other vehicles. Some properties refuse this vehicle from being on their property.

Dec 17, 2025

Multiple times when driving, at interstate speeds and highway speeds I have a full loss of power, requiring me to pull to the side of the road and power off the car and power it back on. Turtle mode gets activated not allowing me to go more than 5mph. Not safe at all especially when children are in the car. I have had the dealer look at this multiple times and they continue to say they have updated the system. I cannot imagine a software update will fix the vehicle intermittently losing power. I am a Jeep brand enthusiast but Stellantis missed the boat on this car. They have created an unsafe, unreliable vehicle that is putting my family at risk every time I drive it. Last night I was offered $100 because the EV component shouldn’t be used now, I can’t park it inside, and can’t charge it. It really is almost bait and switch that I bought a vehicle that is not able to be used in the manner it was sold to me for.

Dec 15, 2025

I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 4xe (JL PHEV). The vehicle is subject to safety recall 25V‑741 (manufacturer recall 68C) for high‑voltage battery fire risk, and also recall 78C affecting the 2.0L engine. For recall 68C, Jeep and NHTSA instruct owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it outside and away from structures and other vehicles because the high‑voltage battery could fail internally and start a fire, even when parked. This means I cannot safely park in my garage or charge at home. I have a [XXX] infant in the home, so any increased fire risk near the residence is especially concerning. Jeep has not yet provided a final remedy or a clear timeline for a fix for 68C, so this situation is indefinite. In practice, the vehicle now operates as a less‑efficient gas‑only vehicle, with reduced usable range, higher fuel costs, and loss of the plug‑in electric function I paid for. I am also instructed to leave a potentially defective high‑voltage battery pack on my property and outdoors, which feels unsafe for my family. In addition, recall 78C raises concerns about potential engine defects and possible fire risk or major engine damage, further impacting the safety and reliability of this vehicle. My dealer and the manufacturer have confirmed the recalls but so far have not provided a loaner, buy‑back, or other adequate remedy, despite the “park outside / do not charge” safety instructions and the presence of an infant in the home. I am requesting that NHTSA closely review these recalls, the lack of an available remedy, and the real‑world safety and hardship impact on owners who cannot safely park or charge their vehicles as originally intended. On top of this, I put about $10,000 down on the lease expecting to purchase the vehicle as a long‑term PHEV. That down payment now feels like a sunk cost into a product that cannot be safely used as advertised, and the situation is starting to resemble a potential lemon‑law case. If the jeep is not sagged to park in a garage, how can it be safe to drive on the road? The recalls are not being taken care of soon enough!

Dec 12, 2025

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has multiple major safety defects involving fire risk, loss of propulsion, and engine failure. The vehicle has been subject to four significant recalls, including: * NHTSA 24V720000 (Recall 95B): High-voltage battery may fail internally and cause a fire while parked or driving. Owners are instructed to park outside away from structures and to avoid charging. * NHTSA 25V766000 (Recall 78C): Debris inside the engine may cause engine failure, loss of drive power, and engine compartment fire. * NHTSA 25V710000 (Recall A7C): OTA software error may cause sudden loss of drive power while operating the vehicle. These recall remedies are not yet available. The vehicle has become unsafe for normal use and puts my family at risk. I pursued a lemon law claim previously due to early severe issues, including charging/fire hazards, but the problems continue and are worsening. I am unable to safely drive, park, or charge the vehicle as designed. I am requesting NHTSA review due to the ongoing risks of fire, propulsion loss, and the lack of available repairs.

Dec 11, 2025

Jeep Wrangler 4-door Rubicon 4XE stalled/suffered complete loss of power while driving down the road. It took 3 shutdown/restarts to move the vehicle to a safe location. Since then, Jeep has issued 3 URGENT unrepaired recalls. Oct 17: NHTSA 25V-710 (drive train/loss of power - remedy not yet available), Oct 30: 25V-741 (flawed battery pack that may cause vehicle fire putting life and property at risk - remedy not yet available), and Nov 6: 25V-766 (engine potentially contaminated by sand casting potentially resulting in engine failure or unexpected loss of propulsion - remedy not available) As such, I have been deprived of a safe/reliable vehicle for 2 months.

Dec 6, 2025

UNKNOWN ; I believe that my Jeep Wrangler 4XE in connection with recall : A7C/NHTSA 25V-710 created this safety hazard. Around the end of October / Beginning of November my Jeep performed a software update like it does from time to time and within a few days the vehicle shut off completely without any prior warning. I was driving to work, luckily on a side street going 20 miles an hour pulling away from a stop sign and the vehicle just straight up dies. Lights, engine, electronics, power steering, everything was unresponsive. I managed to pull off of the roadway and had to attempt multiple times to restart the vehicle. After a minute or so of being in park, it started right up and kept driving. A few days later after limited use of the vehicle, there was a software update again and I assumed it was for that and kept using the vehicle. This experience put my life in danger as well as others. Should circumstances of my travel been different and this would have occurred on a freeway, the outcome could have been tragic for myself and others on the roadway. This experience together with the other 2 severe safety recalls with no remedy, have led me to feel so uncomfortable even having the vehicle in my possession due to a recommendation from FCA, Mopar, and the NHSTA to (A. Not charge the vehicle to lower the chance of a tragic lithium ion battery fire that can occur during normal operation creating a hazard for all occupants including minor children, but also during the vehicle being parked. Leading to (B. A recommendation to not park the vehicle close to structures or other vehicles. Which in my situation is impossible at home and at work. And (C. The risk of the engine being contaminated with sand from the casting process which can lead to catastrophic engine failure, which can start a vehicle fire or cause an accident without prior warning. I will be dropping my Jeep off at a dealer until a fix is in play. No remedies available for either 3 major recalls.

Dec 5, 2025

I have two open recalls on my 2024 Jeep a wrangler. I’m afraid to drive the vehicle for fear of fire and Jeep stopping at any moment according to the recalls.

Dec 5, 2025

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Manufacturer: Stellantis / Jeep Recalls Involved: •High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk Recall (park-outside / do-not-charge) •Engine Casting / Sand Contamination Recall (Recall 68C) — risk of sudden loss of propulsion and fire NHTSA Case: If referencing dealer/Jeep case → Case #94839085 Mileage: [insert mileage] VIN: [insert VIN] Complaint Description: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently subject to two serious safety recalls: (1) a high-voltage battery recall requiring the vehicle to be parked outside and not charged due to fire risk, and (2) Recall 68C involving engine casting/sand contamination that can lead to unrecoverable loss of propulsion, engine failure, and potential fire. Jeep has notified me that no repair is currently available for either recall and has provided no estimated timeline for a remedy. As a result, I have been advised not to drive or charge the vehicle. This has left me with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate, unsafe to store, and unusable for daily transportation. I contacted Jeep Customer Care and the dealership for assistance. Jeep has only offered a limited 30-day reimbursement-based rental that requires me to pay out–of–pocket and does not cover the full period during which my vehicle is unsafe and unrepairable. Jeep has not provided a loaner or replacement vehicle despite the indefinite loss of use. This situation raises serious concerns because: •The vehicle cannot be safely driven, •There is a real risk of engine failure or fire while driving, •There is a risk of battery fire even while parked, •A remedy is unknown and unavailable, •Jeep has not provided a safe, usable transportation solution. I am filing this complaint because I believe the severity of these defects, the lack of an available remedy, and the manufacturer’s inadequate interim support pose a significant safety risk to me, my family, and the public. I am requesting NHTSA to review this matter.

Vehicle experienced a complete and sudden loss of power, propulsion, and steering control WHILE DRIVING. The vehicle instantly shut down in motion and we were unable to accelerate, control speed, or safely maneuver, steering wheel locked. This created an immediate and severe risk of collision for myself, my spouse, and my young child who was in the vehicle at the time. There are multiple open safety recalls on this vehicle (including electrical system/propulsion defects), but no repairs or remedies are available, and the manufacturer is refusing to provide towing, inspection, or safe transportation. I reported the total power loss to the manufacturer. Despite this being an extremely dangerous event consistent with the recall symptoms, I was repeatedly told the vehicle is “safe to drive in gas mode,” even though they did NOT inspect it, did NOT ask for diagnostic information, and did NOT offer any safety assessment. They refused to authorize towing, refused to authorize inspection, and told me to pay out of pocket for a rental despite the vehicle being unsafe and unusable. The dealership also stated they have no way to repair the recalls and provided no solution or timeline and refused a loaner vehicle. The vehicle cannot be safely driven the 40+ miles to the dealership due to the prior failure. This vehicle is unsafe to operate, has already experienced the failure described in the open recalls, and the manufacturer is not providing any remedy, inspection, transport, or safe alternative transportation. We paid over $100,000 for this vehicle and currently cannot use it at all. I am reporting this because the defect has already occurred and poses a serious safety hazard to us and other drivers. We need NHTSA involvement because the manufacturer is refusing to address or acknowledge the danger despite documentation of total power loss in motion. This incident occurred MULTIPLE TIMES; date is a vague approximate.

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Recall: 78C / NHTSA 25V-766 Mileage: 6,975 miles Location: California Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under safety recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766) for catastrophic engine failure, fire risk, and unexpected/unrecoverable loss of propulsion. The recall notice states that the engine may contain sand contamination from the casting process, which can cause sudden engine failure and a potential vehicle fire without warning. The biggest concern is that no remedy exists, and the manufacturer has stated the repair is “under development.” This means I am driving (or parked with) a vehicle that may suddenly lose power or catch fire. This creates a major safety hazard for me, my passengers, and the public. My vehicle has only 6,975 miles and is well within warranty, yet neither Jeep nor the dealership can perform any repair to address this safety defect. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure the manufacturer provides a remedy, loaner vehicle, or buyback for unsafe vehicles with no available repair. Thank you.

Dec 2, 2025

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe My vehicle has two separate critical safety recalls with no remedy available: High-voltage battery fire risk (vehicle may catch fire even when parked; cannot charge; must park outside). Recall 68C for engine contamination with sand causing catastrophic engine failure, fire, and sudden loss of propulsion. Jeep states that repair parts are unavailable for both recalls. This makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, unsafe to charge, unsafe to park near structures, and unusable for transportation. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to compel Stellantis to provide a remedy or repurchase the unsafe vehicle.

Nov 28, 2025

.I am submitting this complaint regarding the handling of two safety recalls affecting my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door 4xe, which I learned about through my “November Vehicle Health Report” email on November 22, 2025. Since then, I have been in ongoing communication with Jeep, Chrysler Customer Care, and Mopar; however, they have not provided sufficient guidance. 1) Recall 68C: The Vehicle Health Report included a link to the FCA recall notice advising owners to “refrain from recharging” and to “park away from structures and other vehicles.” Chrysler emailed on November 26 offering a 30-day rental reimbursement tied only to Recall 68C, but the amount does not cover an equivalent or safe winter-capable vehicle for our region. 2) Recall 78C: I have been unable to obtain clear information regarding Recall 78C. The Vehicle Health Report included minimal details and no link to the FCA documentation. I found the Part 573 Safety Recall Report (25V766) on the NHTSA website while trying to determine if the vehicle was safe to drive. Chrysler Customer Care repeatedly avoids answering whether a “do not drive” advisory exists for 78C and continually redirects me to the 68C guidance. The NHTSA representative I spoke with was also unsure why Chrysler did not select either advisory checkbox (Do Not Drive / Park Outside) on page 3 of the 78C report, leaving owners without essential guidance. 3) Impact on Safety and Daily Life: My household relies on a single vehicle. With no safety guidance for 78C and an engine warning light that appeared on October 3, 2025—along with electric mode not functioning that day, which required service at the Jeep dealership—we determined it was safest not to drive the vehicle. We have now been without transportation for seven days. We kindly ask NHTSA to help us (and other customers) secure clear 78C safety guidance and an equivalent transportation solution until the recall is resolved.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) has three active recalls with no available remedy. My vehicle has shut down three times while driving, exactly matching the safety defects described in Recall 25V-710, which warns of sudden loss of propulsion. Recalls 25V-741 and 25V-766 warn of potential fire and catastrophic engine failure. Jeep/Stellantis refused to provide a safe remedy or replacement without charging me. The car is unsafe to drive and unsafe to park near my home. Request NHTSA intervention. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

This vehicle has 3 catastrophic and dangerous recalls. I have attempted jeep several times to try to get it escalated, but they have ignored us. The vehicle lost power suddenly in busy traffic 2 times, causing my wife to almost be involved in an accident. We have no confidence in driving this vehicle. Hoping you can help

Nov 20, 2025

Recall Numbers: 25V-741 (Battery Fire Risk), 25V-766 (Engine Casting Contamination) Summary of Issue: I am filing this complaint because my vehicle is subject to two urgent safety recalls, including risk of fire when parked and catastrophic engine failure. Despite contact with Jeep and my dealership, remedies have not been provided in a timely manner. The recalls remain incomplete, and been advised only to park away from structures and refrain from charging — which is not a practical or safe long-term solution. Safety Risk: The vehicle poses a fire hazard even when stationary. Engine contamination may lead to sudden propulsion loss, creating crash risk. These defects endanger both occupants and bystanders. Manufacturer Response: FCA US has acknowledged the recalls but has not provided remedies. Repairs not until 2026 Impact on Daily Life: I am a caregiver for elderly parents [XXX] , [XXX] old) and rely on safe, reliable transportation. The inability to use this vehicle safely has disrupted caregiving responsibilities and created significant hardship. NO longer driving Jeep , due to safety concerns for parents and family Requested Action: I ask NHTSA to investigate Jeep’s failure to provide timely remedies for these recalls and to ensure FCA US complies with federal safety obligations. I also request that NHTSA track and escalate this issue given the urgent fire risk and potential for catastrophic engine failure Jeep currently at dealership (Nov 17, 2025)for Recalls 68C/78C , plus Jeep dying while driving and jolting and taking off and exerting forward down the road. Previous repairs last year 2024 for Engine light remaining on which dealership replaced Charging Module , then Engine Element , Jeep heated up garage for high temperature while charging and extremely hot to touch , these previous issues could all be related to these 2 recalls , so very concerned about my safety . My Jeep 4xe is currently under 2 urgent fire recalls. 68C for the battery and 78C for the potential sand in the engine during production. There is currently no remedy available for either recall and the manufacturer is refusing to replace the parts or remedy the problem. Jeep is saying to take it to the dealership and the dealership is saying there is no test they can run and is pointing back at Jeep because Jeep hasn't given them a fix. I do have videos of the engine running extremely loud and clicking and instances where the cooling fan won't shut off for hours. I have not been parking in my garage and not charging the vehicle to reduce the risk as much as possible. I have had two instances where the propulsion suddenly stopped while driving, which is one of the warnings of the 78C recall. This is a safety risk for myself and my two young children who are in the car daily due to necessity, and Jeep is not offering any solutions to the problem at hand and my safety concerns.

Nov 18, 2025

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe is affected by two open NHTSA safety recalls: 25V-766 (engine casting sand contamination) and 25V-741 (HV battery separator damage). Both recalls involve serious safety risks including fire, sudden loss of propulsion, and catastrophic engine failure. In the official Jeep Owner Portal, both recalls show “remedy not available” and “parts not available.” Jeep also instructs owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park away from buildings, indicating an active fire hazard. The vehicle cannot be repaired because no remedy exists. The dealer confirmed that repairs cannot be performed. I also experienced abnormal vibrations while driving, which Jeep documented under a separate case number. This issue remains unresolved as well. These defects place occupants and others at risk because the vehicle may lose power without warning or catch fire. Stellantis/FCA has not provided any repair option or timeline. I am requesting NHTSA oversight due to the ongoing safety hazard and the lack of an available remedy.

Nov 17, 2025

I brought my vehicle into the dealership 11/15/2025 for the battery recall the dealership informed me Jeep has no fix for the vehicle and could be mid January 2026 this is unacceptable for this vehicle I cannot use as intended

Nov 15, 2025

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has multiple open safety recalls with no remedy available. These recalls include fire risk when parked, battery fire risk, loss of propulsion at highway speed, and engine failure due to contamination. The manufacturer warns owners to park away from buildings and avoid charging, which means the vehicle is unsafe to drive or store. We contacted Stellantis and were told no fix exists. This is a serious safety hazard to my family and others. I have already opened a case with Stellantis (Case number #94748033) and was told there is currently no repair available.

Ta odmowa pozostawia właścicieli pojazdów o specyfikacji amerykańskiej importowanych do UE narażonych na potencjalne zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa bez dostępu do przewidzianego środka zaradczego. While driving the vehicle, complete loss of power was experienced due to the recall. I had to pull over to the side of the road and was luckily in a safe space. However, had I been driving on main roads, I could have gotten into an accident. While this recall has been temporarily fixed at this moment, a permanent fix has not been done. Also, since my lease in March 2024, the vehicle has been in the shop several times due to the inability of the vehicle to be filled with gas. My vehicle will be almost completely out of gas, and I can still only put 12 gallons of gas in the car. My dealership had the car in their shop for over three weeks total (on 2-3 occasions), and no resolution was made. I’m still having issues filling up my car on the regular. And now, with the most recent recall, I will be filling my car up a lot more. This vehicle is a mess and they need to rectify the situation and issues immediately. With the winter months approaching and the possibility for snow, I am now at the disadvantage of having to park my car away from my house, not use the electric functionality and leaving it unprotected from the elements. This is unacceptable. I traded in my 2019 6 cyl gas powered Wrangler for the sole purpose of having the electric functionality, and now I’m stuck paying a MUCH higher car payment for a vehicle I am unable to drive in electric format. AND let’s not forget that it’s a safety hazard. I do not feel comfortable driving this vehicle and putting my family in it.

On October 11, 2025, while traveling approximately 50 mph, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe suddenly and without warning lost motive power. The vehicle rapidly decelerated to around 10 mph. Thankfully, no vehicle was immediately behind me; had there been, a rear-end crash likely would have occurred. I was able to pull to the shoulder and had to completely shut down and restart the vehicle to temporarily restore power. I drove the vehicle directly to the authorized Jeep dealership after the incident, and it has remained there since that date. A recall related to this exact failure was issued afterward. My VIN is confirmed as included, and NHTSA status currently shows “Recall Incomplete — Remedy Not Yet Available.” Despite the safety failure already occurring and no remedy existing, Jeep Customer Care closed my case prematurely. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle until a repair is defined and completed. I am reporting this because the hazard remains unresolved, and owner support and protection feel inadequate. This defect occurred before the recall announcement and represents a confirmed loss-of-power safety event that could have resulted in a serious crash.

Oct 23, 2025

I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ). On 10/23/2025, while traveling about 50 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and the dash displayed “Put in Park to drive.” I had to coast through traffic, stop, shift to Park, and fully restart to regain drive. Within minutes it recurred. This defect is unpredictable and dangerous. I regularly commute on the Ohio Turnpike at highway speeds and I cannot risk driving this vehicle because it can cut power without warning, leaving me unable to accelerate while surrounding traffic closes in. I am avoiding highway use entirely and limiting all driving due to the high risk of rear-end collision during a power loss. The vehicle is unsafe to operate until a permanent remedy exists. Background: the vehicle has previously exhibited powertrain/electrical issues (including overheating) and spent ~2.5 weeks at the dealer over the summer. Early incidents occurred under 18,000 miles. Recall context: Mopar and NHTSA show an open safety recall A7C / 25V-710 on my VIN for loss of motive power; status “remedy not yet available.” The vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA or the manufacturer. Over-the-air firmware update that caused an in-motion shutdown while driving. various dash lights came on, shift to park indicator flashed, loss power, steering wheel stiffened up to the point it wouldn't move. There were no warnings before it went haywire. My family's safety was at risk as we were driving and it put us in danger and had to carefully get to the side of the road. We had it towed to Jeep where they say they fixed it but we have no trust to drive it now. The service advisor at the Jeep dealerships said "it looks like someone at Jeep pushed the big red button and sent out an update that wasn't ready yet" which is a huge concern for all Jeep owners.

Oct 20, 2025

On 10/4/25 while driving my 24 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe, the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating while in driving approx. 30 MPH in a roadway. Several warning lights came on the dash, including a green turtle symbol, the battery light and the plug light. The instrument cluster then went dark and came back on stating the vehicle was in "Turtle Mode" and speed would be limited. The vehicle then would not go over 5 MPH. and would not switch to gas only (E-Save) mode. I narrowly avoided a collision and was able to pull over out of traffic. I shut the vehicle down for approx. 10 mins. It then restarted and drove the rest of the way home without issue. I made several attempts to call Fitzgerald Countryside Jeep to get it serviced, and tried to make an appointment on their website but never received confirmation. On 10/10/25, the vehicle would not start after being plugged in overnight with a full tank of gas and stated "Service Charging System" After waiting 10 mins, the vehicle started normally. On 10/13/25 while backing out of a parking space, the vehicle shut off without warning and would not turn back on. I was able to push the vehicle out of traffic back into the spot. The vehicle would not turn on. The vehicle had to be towed to Dayton Andrews Jeep where I was advised the batteries were replaced. The propensity for the vehicle to suddenly stop accelerating without warning is dangerous and creates a high likelihood of a crash.

Oct 20, 2025

Due to a recent over the air update which impacted the hybrid system, the car would lose all power and require to stop the car completely and restart the vehicle. This is a known issue that has been acknowledged by Jeep/FCA. After it occurred the first time, a check engine light came on and stayed in. The stalling event occurred approximately 5 times in a short trip with several of our small children in the vehicle. Luckily, we were driving on local roads with the ability to pull over without putting ourselves in danger, but cannot fathom how Jeep would put thousands of drivers at risk, especially if they were driving at high speeds or maneuvering.

Oct 17, 2025

Check engine light l, shift to park message with multiple warning lights occurrence after an OTA update. Vehicle had limited throttle and went into limp mode while driving. Received diagnostic trouble codes p0a45 p1e1d u0594. Jeep said there was an update but codes still persist a week after the “fix”. The codes are not archived . The are listed confirmed .

Oct 16, 2025

Jeep wanted to do an OTA update through the connect service. I continued to select 'update later' for several days then it all of a sudden my uconnect service told me it was updating. Immediately after it was updated, while on the road, the screened flashed off then back on just like it does at start up wanting me to start the vehicle. At this point we were at a stoplight and wasn't actively moving at this time. It was already running, and when the button was pressed, it turned, off, then pressed again and turned back on and restarted with on with CEL. I was only a mile from my local dealership, so I proceeded to go there.

Oct 16, 2025

Driving on our way to a JEEP INVASION (local). We had our 3 children in the back seat. The jeep was traveling about 45 mph and the accelerator stopped working. Thankfully we were not on a freeway and no one was behind us. We had to pull over and turn the jeep off and then back on. It happened 3 times on the way there. We took it into the local dealership and they ran a test on it. We were told it happened because of the UConnect update performed over the weekend. We are currently trying to get out of our lease. We only have 16k miles on it and have taken it into the dealership 5+ times due to issues similar to this. But we have never had to worry about our safety the previous times. It has become a driving risk for us and we do not feel comfortable taking our children in it anymore. I feel like the vehicle shutting down felt the same as the brake system not working while we were driving. We had the 4xe battery replaced in the past year because we were left stranded in a parking lot because the vehicle would not turn on.

Oct 15, 2025

Driving down the road, Jeep suddenly says shift to park and loses all power stalling in the middle the road. This happened twice on October 14, 2025 and needed a tow truck to be brought to a dealership. When it loses power everything locks up including steering so you can even pull over safely to the side of the road. This is a very serious issue that can easily cause a deadly accident and needs to be addressed.

Oct 15, 2025

I was driving from New York to DC when my car “bricked” on [XXX] my car advised me to go into park mode and began slowing down to a stop (I had no control over it) and luckily I was able pull over onto the shoulder to where I felt very unsafe and waited to restart my car. I was able to restart and try again and it bricked again about 10 minutes later. I was terrified and had a panic attack before being able to safely merge across lanes into a rest stop. I figured that if I switched into gas mode because it appeared to be an electrical problem that I might be able to continue my drive I started driving and not five minutes later I was stalled on a bridge. It was the scariest experience I’ve had probably ever in my life I had to completely shut down my car and restart it just to inch my way onto a shoulder after getting across a bridge with other cars going over 60 70 mph. Eventually I was able to disconnect the battery and reconnect it just in order to make it safely to a dealership with my father, following behind me. Because the check engine light went off when the battery was reconnected, when I got there, the dealership told me the diagnostic test showed no concerns and said that I could take the car and continue my drive. then 15 minutes after continuing my drive it stalled again, again on the highway! So I made my way back to the dealership and in the 10 miles that it took to get to the dealership the car stalled over five more times every single time it stalled I risked someone running into the back end of my car. I was told to contact Chrysler for a customer care case and they were not helpful at all. I was given a loaner that I couldn’t take out of state so I couldn’t get back to New York in a timely fashion so I had to wait in DC an extra day just to get my car back. I still don’t feel safe in the vehicle because a little software glitched caused such a major issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

UConnect update was pushed and car shut off while driving saying to put in park and turn back on. Vehicles engine literally shut off twice while driving all due to a system update.

Oct 14, 2025

Vehicle loss of total Power while driving, and printed to stop right away. Incident recurring after starting the car once more as per the j instructions

Oct 14, 2025

Saturday morning, approx 10:00 am vehicle screen showed it was updated U-Conn (not sure exactly) when update finished vehicle lost power while driving (*Note 4xe Hybrid electric Jeep in hybrid mode). Every light on instrument cluster lit up. I was able to coast to the side of the road and park. The display said to place vehicle in park and hit start. I was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle would drive for 3-5 minutes and then completely lose electrical power again. This is VERY SCARY to happen while driving, losing power steering, power brakes and being a sitting duck in traffic! When we looked on line, it appears this is an issue with 4xe electric jeeps and many, many people have had the same issue. We were very lucky to have not had a major collision. Jeep needs to be accountable for this safety issue, how many people were not as lucky to avoid a collision. Completely unacceptable.

Oct 14, 2025

The 4xe system had a software update that ran and caused sudden lost of power. Vehicle has been at the dealership since September 15th and should be available for inspection. Upon completion of the update, the vehicle turned off and came to a quick stop. The vehicle did restart and while driving it, it died again. Second time it turned off, I was not able to move it from the traffic lane. Driving east in the morning facing the rising sun on a 55 MPH road. Yes, it was duplicated at the dealership after they thought it was repaired. Vehicle has been inspected by a Mopar Representative. No indication of complete loss of vehicle power and this occurred on September 15th.

Oct 13, 2025

10 minutes after a software update. My vehicle lost propulsion and would engage a gear unless the vehicle was shut off/on and would repeat the loss after less than a half mile. Vehicle was towed to dealer.

Oct 13, 2025

When driving at full speed vehicle shuts off and says to put into park. You cannot accelerate. Warning lights come on saying Antilock system failure, Hybrid system issues along with many other lights. You can be going 70 and it just turns off. We were driving from Sandusky Ohio home to Indiana and this happened. Our safety was put at risk fue to being on highways and out of nowhere our vehicle would lose acceleration and you would have to pull over and restart the car.

Oct 13, 2025

While driving the vehicle shut down unexpectedly. This occurred in the first minutes of driving after a software update the night before. I restarted the vehicle and vehicle and it shut down 4 more times in 1 mile of driving.

Oct 13, 2025

The jeep lost power after only driving abojt a mile down the road. all the lights came on the dash and I had to pull over until it came to a slow stop, the brakes didn’t seem like they working. Once in park I got a dash light that said Service Charging System. I was not able to move it out of park to even neutral. After about 15 minutes I was able to get it to start and drove it home about 1 mile- it did the same thing. When it restarted the check engine light is on.

Oct 13, 2025

Vehicle shut down in the middle of driving. Went into limp mode. Then would only run in gas mode at half power.

Oct 13, 2025

My car stalled 16 times on [XXX] due to unknown issues. The first time happened on [XXX] . Then multiple times driving from the first location to my residence in East Quogue and then to the dealer. The car would be in drive and suddenly stall, saying there was an issue with the hybrid motor. It also had multiple engine errors pop up. The car is only 15 months old. The idea that it would stall on a highway is very dangerous. I had to pull over, put the car in park, and sometimes it would power on. Otherwise it would take two to three attempts to start the car to continue driving. It was an extremely hazardous situation. It looks to be a software update error on behalf of Stellantis. This is really scary and unacceptable. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Oct 13, 2025

Complete loss of power and power steering. Repeated every 1.5 minutes after restart.

Oct 13, 2025

Updated the center screen and minutes later, my Wrangler popped and the frontal collision, CEL, Stability Trak lights came on And the truck came to a halt in traffic on a busy street. I shockingly was not hit, and got the truck to the side of the road. And I was able to army crawl the truck to the dealership. The vehicle was grinding gears and the 4xe system was completely inoperable. This was extremely dangerous.

Oct 12, 2025

Immediately after installing a system update, car shut off/stalled while driving. Attempts to restart and continue driving only resulted in minimal forward progress. Very scary and very dangerous situation to have car just stop functioning while driving.

Oct 12, 2025

Car lost power as I was driving with an errors and just stopped working. As I was trying to get home this happened twice. I had to pull over and follow the prompts on screen. Seems like there was a bad update that has cause all 2024 Wrangler 4xe’s to do this. This is a huge problem really dangerous and inconvenient. This jeep is my only vehicle. I need a vehicle to drive. I called the dealership and they have no idea how to help me or fix this issue.

Oct 12, 2025

While driving, Jeep stalled out/became unresponsive, D started flashing on gear shift panel and dashboard, check engine light came on and dashboard message said: "shift to P to start" "Press brake & Push button to start" While jeep was already ON and was driving. Very dangerous!! This happened 4x in 1 mile radius. Had to put in P, shut off and restart but kept happening. Luckily was able to maneuver/glide jeep to parking lot but this sudden loss of power is extremely dangerous. I could’ve been rear-ended or worse each time it happened. Per Jeep forums this occurred after a Uconnect update. Several Jeep Owners are having the same issue with no word from Jeep. This update was done on a Friday evening (10/10/25) of holiday weekend. No one is available in service department until Tuesday (10/14/25). According to JeepCares Forum… it was a telematics box module update.

Oct 12, 2025

Following a software update on 10/10/25, our vehicle can no longer be driven safely. Repeatedly loses power, power steering, etc. This issue is impacting thousands of Jeep owners nationwide. Please investigate and help resolve before people lose lives.

Oct 12, 2025

My car did an automatic UConnect update. I went to dinner, got back in my car an hour later and about 2minutes later while driving, my engine shut off and and the Press Break and Push Start came on. I had no power at all while making a turn through an intersection. I pulled over as much as I could, powered off the vehicle completely. Waited a minute and it started back up, but now the engine light was on. Was able to make it home (7miles) but was vey concerned about it shutting off again, at night while driving home. Dealer can’t get my vehicle in for a week!

Oct 12, 2025

Was driving on highway at speed of 60mph then the vehicle loss motive and drifted with no power. Check engine light came on and was able to move to the shoulder. I was able to restart the vehicle but would move for a min then loose power again. Didn't matter whether on electric, hybrid,or gas.

Oct 12, 2025

I was driving down and my vehicle lost power. I was able to steer and brake but the gas wouldn’t work. I was able to pull off and restart the vehicle and it did it again with a short amount of time.

Oct 12, 2025

Updated my jeep (per the prompt) on 10/11. Subsequently Lost power steering and power while driving. Had to turn off the car and restart it. Not safe to drive and unpredictable.

Oct 12, 2025

Jeep pushed an OTA Software Upgrade on 10/10/2025. The following morning 10/11/2025, while operating the vehicle. The vehicle lost all propulsion and power steering. Check Engine Light Came on and a message “Shift to P to Start” message appeared on the console. Additionally, the traction control system, collision avoidance alarms appeared on the console. Fortunately I was able to navigate the vehicle to the shoulder of the road without getting hit. However, I fear had my newly permitted teenage driver been operating the vehicle the outcome would have been much worse.

Oct 12, 2025

Pulled vehicle out of the garage. Stopped with foot on the brake. Let off the brake to drive and the check engine light came on along with a red light on the gauge cluster with a red wrench. Warning came on the screen saying put vehicle in park and press the start stop button. Vehicle turned back on and the screen said no hybrid power available. Drove down my driveway and complete loss of power. Screen again said put vehicle back in park and press start stop button. Again the vehicle started and I returned to my driveway and parked the vehicle. Check engine light remained on when vehicle was on.

Oct 12, 2025

Vehicle lost power transfer while in Drive and dash instructed to press brake to shift into Park. Check Engine light came on. Dash said something about fuel transfer issue. Happened 5 times in .25 mile. Had to turn car off and restart to drive and it happened again. This all happened after a UConnect update

Oct 11, 2025

My vehicle prompted me to update my UCONNECT software around 540pm last night as I went tminto class. Upon leaving class around 845pm, I expierenced a complete loss of power, many dash indicator lights came on, and the vehicle message appeared indicating the vehicle needed to be put into Park. This all occurred while driving at about 40mph. I have never had any issues with the vehicle before this.

Oct 11, 2025

This issue happens after an update on the car. Within 10 minutes after the car update the engine light came on and the car shut down on the road completely unable to drive . Without a warning, car stop to a complete shutdown while driving. My safety was at risk 5 times almost got into a car accident due to this issue where the car completely stopped while driving. Steering wheel completely locks when the car shuts down.

Oct 11, 2025

After the the latest U-connect update, my jeep will not run after about 30 seconds while driving. Stalls while in motion. Will restart, but then shuts off again. Has an engine code on dash.

Oct 11, 2025

The vehicle did an over-the-air update to the vehicles software, u connect. The vehicle has since suffered two losses of propulsion while driving, with check engine light indicator illumination and a P1E1D code. This has been reported by numerous other 2024 4xe drivers.

Oct 11, 2025

After an over-the-air update of the Uconnect system on 10/10/25 the vehicle repeatedly lost propulsion. In each instance I abruptly had absolutely no acceleration, the gear indicator on the dash started flashing, the power mode indicator (electric/hybrid/esave) disappeared, an alert said shift into park and press the brake + start button, and the check engine light and red wrench lights came on. I was still able to steer and brake with power steering and brakes for maybe 30 seconds before those went out too. After putting it into park and pressing the brake and start button it started back up and I could drive it normally for a little bit, but it happened two more times on a 1.5 mi drive. This is a serious safety issue. I read the check engine code which was P1E1D

Oct 11, 2025

Software update causes vehicle to completely loose power after two minutes or so of driving. Very serious problem and dangerous. Requires stopping vehicle immediately and rebooting. Happens again and again.

Oct 11, 2025

A software update appears on the screen. I hit update and got out of the Jeep. A number of hours later I started up the Jeep and drove away, about a mile down the road while driving the Jeep entirely shutdown. The motor was off and I had not control. The dash told me to put it in park and update. I was luckily in a spot where I could just stop in the middle of the road, I put it in park restarted but now with the check engine light on. I was able to limp home. It was very scary as if it was a more major road I could have caused an accident.

Oct 11, 2025

2024 Hybrid. Vehicle shuts down while driving. Driver had to pull over to shut vehicle down and then restart it. Very dangerous situation.

Oct 11, 2025

Updated vehicle last night via u-connect, vehicle died today while driving, lost all power. Check engine light on, hundreds of posts via social media with the same problem

Oct 11, 2025

I accepted a uconnect software update last night and this morning lost complete power while diving my jeep multiple times. I had to pull over on busy streets, put the vehicle in park, turn on/off the vehicle a couple times and got it to start again. The check engine light has been on since. I went to the dealership and they said they’ve received multiple complaints today as well. I have it home and not drivable.

Oct 11, 2025

The latest Uconnect 5 update was performed by the Jeep dealership on my 2024 Wrangler 4xe on October 11th, 2024. After leaving the dealership, the vehicle shut off while driving and displayed a message instructing me to “shift to Park.” I lost propulsion and power steering, creating an immediate safety hazard. The dealership had just completed the update and told me it was safe to drive. Based on reports circulating among other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners, this appears to be a widespread issue linked to the most recent Uconnect 5 update (released around October 10, 2025). Please investigate this issue as a potential safety defect related to the software update.

Oct 11, 2025

While driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ), the vehicle suddenly lost all motive power without warning. The accelerator pedal became completely unresponsive, the “D” indicator on the gear selector began blinking, and the vehicle coasted to a stop in traffic. It would not restart for several minutes. This has occurred multiple times since purchase. The most concerning incident happened earlier this year while driving on a freeway with my wife and two young children, the vehicle abruptly shut down in active lanes of traffic, forcing us to coast to the shoulder while cars passed at highway speed. On [XXX] the same failure occurred four times within a ten-minute drive home. Each time, the Wrangler became undriveable and required several minutes before it would restart. The vehicle is currently at Simi Valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for inspection (Service Order #[XXX]). The service advisor stated that multiple Wrangler 4xe vehicles were brought in for the same issue that morning. They also stated that the Wrangler 4xe has faced this issue for years and were not surprised by my story. The defect appears related to the hybrid powertrain control system or high-voltage electrical components. The problem has been reproduced and reported to Stellantis Customer Care as a serious safety concern. No warning lamps or messages appeared before the loss of power, only the blinking “D” indicator afterward. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request. This defect poses a severe risk of crash or injury due to sudden, total power loss while driving. Dealership confirmed multiple similar 4xe vehicles with the same stalling issue that day. This appears to be part of an ongoing pattern consistent with NHTSA investigation RQ24012 for loss of motive power in Jeep Wrangler 4xe models. Oct 11, 2025

Today while driving on my street in Electric mode at ~25-30 mph, suddenly an alarm dinged and the “D” on the transmission started flashing and the “check engine” light came on. I lost power to the drivetrain (pressing the accelerator pedal did nothing) and an alert on the screen said to press the brake pedal and start button to start the car. I pulled over, turned it off, then turned it back on again. It started driving but then the same thing happened after ~1 minute. Luckily I was in my neighborhood and not on a highway, so I was able to pull over. It was a bit scary because as the Jeep was almost to a stop (but still moving) suddenly the power steering gave out. Luckily I was near the curb. I repeated the same process, drove for one minute, repeat, one minute, repeat. The check engine light was on the whole time. This behavior has been documented by other Jeep owners on the internet and appears to be a software issue. Having the vehicle randomly shut down while driving is INCREDIBLY dangerous.

Oct 11, 2025

As I was driving the car on the highway, the engine light came on, then the "D" for drive gear started flashing and I could no longer accelerate or give the car gas. The only option was to "coast" across several lanes to the break down lane, put the car completely in park, shut off the ignition, and then restart the vehicle to drive again. This happened to me at least 7-8 times today (5 times while on the highway and a few while on other roads leading to and from the highway). I was unfortunately already on a drive to drop my children off somewhere so I had no choice but to complete the ride to the destination, then drive back home to park the vehicle. Needless to say, it's a very scary situation when you can no longer accelerate with cars coming up quickly behind you and you are unable to do anything but try to coast to a safe place to put the car in park and shut it off. It also happened to me while crossing an intersection and oncoming traffic from the other direction that then had a green light was swerving around me. I tried calling Jeep customer service to ask if it's a widespread issue and after 20 minutes on hold, the customer service rep came on to simply say their system is down and they're currently unable to assist anyone. I was almost in several accidents because of the issue and hope they send out a warning to all of those affected, assuming it was more than just my vehicle, because this seems to be occurring every since there was a mandatory software update yesterday. This happened at different speeds, in both electric and gas mode, and once while stopped at a red light, so there appears to be no consistent condition under which it occurs. It just unexpectedly happens and you need to pull somewhere safe with minimal control because of the lack of being able to accelerate (esp. if it occurs while you're on an upward slope because the ability to coast is almost nil).

Oct 11, 2025

Software update sent to vehicle 10/10/2025. Allowed update as I was parked for afternoon. In the evening I attempted to drive for dinner. Vehicle suddenly lost propulsion, all warning lights came on, vehicle went to neutral, lost power steering, coasted to sudden stop and message stated shift to park and press start. Which I did. Same thing happened again in just a few feet in the middle of an intersection nearly causing an accident. Jeep is not answering their phones. Dealership is saying to have it towed. I want Stellantis to take this vehicle back. Too many issues.

Oct 11, 2025

After a over the air update, the vehicle will unpredictability lose power. The dash will display a warning stating that the vehicle must be shifted into park to be restarted. Jeep has acknowledged this issue in forums with no resolution identified. I have only experienced it while trying to accelerate in front of traffic, on of which almost resulted in an accident due to failure to accelerate.

Oct 11, 2025

Over the air update on 10/10/25, disabled my Wrangler. Engine light is on, vehicle shuts down, turns off while driving, continuous error messages, unable to operate vehicle safely, it will not stay running while driving. Within 20 miles, it shut down six times while driving on the highway. As of this date and time, Jeep, Mopar, Stellantis have not offered any guidance, assistance or potential fixes.

Oct 11, 2025

Moments after installing a software update as instructed in my dashboard, my vehicle came to an immediate halt while driving on a busy freeway. The dashboard displayed instructions to shift the vehicle in park and restart the vehicle. I managed to move the vehicle onto the shoulder and completed these steps to regain control of the vehicle. I completed the rest of my commute on local roads, and this incident occurred two more times before I arrived home. This is not an isolated incident. Many users have reported similar incidents and accidents associated with the recent software update. I contacted Jeep to document this concern. However, they took no responsibility and offered no guidance to rectify the issue. This vehicle is only one year old and is now unsafe to drive.

Oct 11, 2025

There was an OTA update pushed to my Jeep last night. Since I had just bought the Jeep 6 days ago I thought it was needing to catch up on updates so I let it update. Now when I attempt to drive it the Jeep will randomly SHUT OFF while driving at any speed and prompt me to shift to Park and a check engine light comes on. When I coast to a stop and shift to park and push the button to start it again it comes back on with a CEL. It will continue to do this until I just park it and don’t drive it.

Oct 11, 2025

Sudden loss of power every 2-5 minutes after the latest over the air software update.

Oct 11, 2025

After a software update the Jeep has issues with power, it powers off completely and I have to pull over and put it in park, then restart it only to be able to drive .5 mile before it shuts down again.

Oct 11, 2025

After automatic update, the vehicle lost propulsion and stopped at the middle of the road. All lights came on. Lost power steering as well. Restarting the car clears the lights except check engine light. It happened 2 more times on my way home.

Oct 11, 2025

On 10/10/2025 there was an OTA update to the telematics/Uconnect system in my car. After it finished the car shut off while I was driving it multiple times. I lost all power and had to coast to the side of the road. This is extremely unsafe. Everyone that did the update is having this issue.

Oct 11, 2025

Performed software update yesterday evening while driving. Stopped to get gas and software update completed. Stopped to get food and when I got back into my car, check engine light came on and car abruptly emergency braked and powered off while in drive. Had to change drive mode to e save to make it home. Attempted to drive again and car lost power and came to a halt every other minute. Had to turn car off, turn back on wherever it halted. In the middle of traffic. Almost caused an accident several times. I have video.

Oct 11, 2025

After an Update, the Jeep died completely in the middle of the road with a bunch of errors on the dash and would not restart. After about 10 minutes, it restarted but died again shortly after. A third try a while later and it ran in manual transmission mode to where we could get it home. Check engine light is on and vehicle is still acting odd.

Oct 11, 2025

My car will abruptly lose all power will driving down the road and the dash directs you to put it in park and restart the vehicle. This requires coming to a complete stop in the middle of the roadway. This happened 10x in a 30 mile drive and at times at highway speeds. Forcing me to either stop in the middle of the freeway or hope i can get to the side of the road to pull off. This is extremely dangerous and from my early research this is happening to all 4xe wranglers after a failed update last night. Jeep is advising people to drive the car in gas mode (which it does not have) but all 3 hybrid modes have the same result. Someone is going to be seriously injured or killed because of this issue. Nobody should be driving these vehicles like this and i dont know what my 18 year old daughter would have done if she was driving on the highway. This emergency needs immediate attention not the response from Jeep that they will “look into it monday”

Oct 11, 2025

After accepting a prompted Uconnect over-the-air (OTA) software update, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe began experiencing complete loss of motive power while driving. The vehicle suddenly lost acceleration capability and had to be restarted multiple times. I took the vehicle to McPeek’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Anaheim, CA, where technicians confirmed that multiple Wrangler 4xe vehicles had arrived the same day with the same failure following the same Uconnect update. The dealership performed a rollback to the previous software version, but the issue was not resolved. During the post-rollback road test, the technician confirmed that engine and propulsion issues persisted, and my service advisor advised that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. As a result, the Jeep was not released back to me and remains at the dealership pending further direction from Stellantis engineering. Diagnostic codes reported by other affected owners and visible in forums include U0293-00 (Lost communication with hybrid control module), U0010-00 (CAN bus communication failure), and P1E1D-00 (Hybrid control processor fault), which appear consistent with a communication breakdown between the Uconnect and hybrid powertrain systems. Jeep Customer Care has opened case #[XXX] for this incident and is coordinating with the dealer. This appears to be a safety-related defect, as the vehicle can unexpectedly lose power while in motion. Dealer: McPeek’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 1221 S Auto Center Dr, Anaheim, CA 92806 (714) 635-2340

I installed an update last night and today the vehicle just shuts off on it own. Looks like jeep stellantis pushed an updated that they clearly did no testing on. P1e1d-00 is the code when I scan. I can no longer drive my jeep.

After doing the unconnect update on Oct 10, while the vehicle was driving it bricked (stopped moving, everything went off). Causing a near accident with our entire family in the car - young children involved! We pulled over and turned it off then back on again and we're in limp mode for a while when it bricked AGAIN this time in the middle of an intersection. This is a BRAND NEW Jeep and has barely been driven. Absolutely horrific!

Check engine light activated then intermittent loss of power while in motion or while stopped. Forced to restart engine. Happened after over the air update of Telemetrics box module update.

Performed uconnext update last night and this morning car completely lost power on the highway. Power steering also did not work and unable to provide gas to car to accelerate. Dead stopped on highway. Dealership then tells me it is “safe to drive but will continue stalling out”

Immediately after downloading the Uconnect 10/10/25 update, as requested by my Jeep, the car immediately lost all power, shutting completely off in 6pm traffic. This problem on 10/11/25 has been posted all over social media. Took the jeep to the dealership for service and they said they have no information from Stellantis about this occurring. No warnings prior to downloading update. We could have been killed.

After an over the air update, when driving the vehicle all of the sudden thought the car was parked and lost all power. After coming to an immediate uncontrolled stop, I was able to shift into park and then drive again however due to the issue and many others reporting I am not comfortable driving above 25 MPH.

After traveling a short distance, the vehicle will shut down, lose all power and require you to restart. At which time the process repeats, short distance of travel with sudden loss off all vehicle functions. There is some indication that this is due to a software issue pushed in an ota update.

Loss of propulsion while driving. Vehicle went into neutral and forced to pull over and restart the engine. This is due to a bad software update that jeep updated over the air just minutes earlier. This is being reported by hundreds of users on various forums on Reddit and Facebook.

On August 4, 2025, while being operated in an ordinary and careful manner, the newly-purchased vehicle experienced an episode of sudden unintended acceleration, lurching forward uncontrollably and slamming into a tree. Then, as the driver attempted to back up, the vehicle charged forward and struck the tree again. The vehicle's driver airbag never deployed despite sustaining two head-on collisions which ultimately rendered the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle's manufacturer hired an "independent" inspector to inspect the vehicle. They found "no manufacturing defects" and blamed "human error" for the incident.

purchased lease on 11/22/2024 on 12/23/2024 Had engine light on was told There was condensation on the oil. So I had the oil changed. on 3/14/2025 My engine light was on again and I noticed the vehicle was not holding a electric charge on 4/3/2025 went back again because engine light was on and they replaced a componant for the hybrid charge 07/30/2025 While driving in gas mode (Because the vehicle will not charge) I had RED TURTLE and RED Wrench along with check engine light..At this point The jeep slowed down immensely in traffic and I had to pull over.once I turned it off it seemed fine untill it happend again going up a steep hill and the jeep just stalled and Traffic from behind almost hit me. This jeep is not safe I only have 7,800 miles on it brand new and Im going back to the dealer on 8/11/2025 to have them update my system? I feel like this is just a bandaide and this car should be recalled or bought back jeep

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) that has experienced multiple hybrid system failures since the week of purchase. Despite several major repairs, the issues persist — raising significant safety and reliability concerns. Timeline of Major Issues: •[XXX]: Just two days after purchase, the vehicle was brought into the shop for hybrid system failure, requiring replacement of the high-voltage wiring harness and electric cooling heater. •Shortly after, the check engine light returned (per service staff, likely another hybrid fault). I was unable to bring it in at the time, and the light later turned off on its own. •[XXX}: After overnight charging, the battery was dead and the vehicle wouldn’t start. My wife (a medical provider) had to leave work to assist, causing major disruptions to patient care, financial loss, and missed school for my son. •[XXX]: After another overnight charge, the vehicle again failed to start, with more difficulty getting it to run than before. •[XXX}: The vehicle was returned to the shop and required replacement of the hybrid powertrain chip and additional high-voltage wiring. These failures mirror the symptoms and component issues currently under investigation in Recall 95B, yet my VIN does not show any open recalls, and I was never notified of any hybrid system defect. My vehicle has experienced the same hazardous failures and received the same repairs as affected vehicles. I am submitting this complaint because I believe my vehicle was improperly excluded from safety-related notifications and may be affected by a known, systemic hybrid defect. I am requesting that NHTSA include this case in its ongoing investigation into Jeep 4xe hybrid propulsion failures. Jun 25, 2025 Crash

Driving in parking lot, as I went to turn into a spot, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe suddenly accelerated as if I had floored the gas. Unintentional acceleration continued as I applied and pumped the brakes. The Jeep hit a concrete and metal pole in the lot, and continued to try to accelerate, crawling up the pole until the engine was shut off.

This was the third time the vehicle ceased with 1/8 tank of gas left. These instances result in the gas light, engine light, and battery light to turn on and do not let the vehicle move into neutral, which has been unsafe as the vehicle shuts down somewhat unexpectedly and has taken place in the middle of the road without the option to push the vehicle off to the side.

While driving on a highway at the 55 mph speed limit, the vehicle suddenly lost power and I was only able to travel at around 40 mph. The incident happened at a busy time on this two-lane highway and it caused traffic to back up behind me and for people to pass me until I could turn at the next intersection. I was only a mile or so away from my residence and I was able to make it home under the reduced power. The 4xe battery was at <1% and I was driving in hybrid mode at the time of the incident. I recharged the battery overnight and have driven it only a few miles since, with no further incidents. I purchased the vehicle used 2 weeks ago with under 17K miles on the odometer. I have not reported the incident to the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle, as they are not a Jeep dealership and I doubt that they would have a clue as to the cause of the problem.
