My vehicle is unsafe to drive. Recall 1 The battery can go on fire/explode. Recall 2 The engine can just cut out - complete loss of power at any time resulting in a vehicle crash with no warning. Recall 3 Engine Fires I keep getting recalls and there are no estimated dates for repairs.

THIS IS A LEASED VEHICLE THAT HAS HAD 3 RECALLS : 2 RECALLS , THAT AFTER MONTHS OF WAITING, COULD BE SCHEDULE FOR A POTENTIAL FIX (DONE ON 12/31). THERE IS 1 THAT STILL HAS NO FIX. THESE ARE HIGHLY DANGERS RISKS (FIRES, EXPLOSIONS, COMPLETE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING, ETC) THIS IS MY FAMILY VEHICLE, CHILDREN ARE IN THIS CAR. I AM CURRENTLY PAYING WELL MORE THAN THE CAR IS VALUED AT SINCE IT DEPRICIATED DO TO RISKS OF SAFTY, AND I AM RISKING MY CHILDREN'S AND MY OWN LIFE BELIEVING THAT THERE WILL BE A FIX AND I DONT EXPLODE TAKING THEM TO SCHOOL OR MYSELF TO WORK. THIS VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN ON ME TWICE IN 8 WEEKS BEFORE HAVING THE RECALLS THAT COULD BE DONE SCHEDULED. IT JUST DIES NO INTERIOR LIGHTS, NO WAY TO SHIFT IT OUT OF GEAR TO GET IT TO SAFE PLACE TO BE IN A DEAD VEHICLE. SINCE HAVING THE 2 RECALLS AND THE 12V LOOKED AT IT HAS BEEN RUNNING IN FORM MODE..NOT WHY YOU PURCHASE A HYBRID. JEEP CUSTOMER CARE IS A JOKE AND STALLANTIS (ALSO MY LEASING COMPANY) WILL ONLY RETUNS MY CALLS IF I “FORGET” TO MAKE PAYMENT BY THE 10TH OF THE MONTH…FINALLY FIGURED THAT OUT. MY GUESS IS A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY MAY BE THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT MY FAMILY, SINCE THE ONLY ONES WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THE CONCERS AND SAFTY OF MYSELF AND MY CHHILDRENS ARE THE DEALERSHIP. THIS WAS MY FAMILIES 5TH JEEP AND COULD POSSIBLLY BE OUR LAST

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ). A high-voltage battery safety recall for fire risk was issued on October 30, 2025 (NHTSA 25V-741 / Stellantis 68C). From the date of the recall, I did not use the plug-in battery function as intended because of the fire-risk recall instructions. A remedy was not available until mid-December 2025. When I brought the vehicle in for the recall remedy, the battery failed the recall procedure/diagnostic and now requires a full high-voltage battery replacement. The vehicle will be out of service for approximately two weeks. This recall has prevented normal safe use of the PHEV battery function and has resulted in extended loss of use while awaiting battery replacement. My vehicle was previously subject to the earlier HV battery fire-risk recall(s), including NHTSA 24V-720 (FCA 95B) (and earlier NHTSA 23V-787 (FCA B9A)), before the newer battery recall campaign INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Subject: Safety Complaint – 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) – Recall 68C High Voltage Battery Fire Risk Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am filing this safety complaint for my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug-in Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ) regarding Safety Recall 68C (NHTSA Campaign Number 25V-741) – High Voltage Battery Defect. The recall notice states that the HV battery may become damaged during normal vehicle operation, leading to internal short circuit, overheating, and potential vehicle fire – even when parked or not charging. This poses a serious life-threatening risk to occupants, family members, and bystanders. Current interim remedy is insufficient: Owners advised to refrain from recharging and park away from structures/other vehicles. Permanent remedy (battery replacement) is still under development as of December 2025. Vehicle is effectively unusable for normal family use (cannot park in garage, constant fire fear). I operate in E-Save mode only (no charging), but risk remains per manufacturer notice. Family details: Wife and two children – safety severely impacted. I request NHTSA to: Escalate investigation into this defect. Pressure Stellantis/FCA US LLC for immediate permanent remedy by way of lease termination. Consider expanding recall scope if needed. Attached letter addressed to co-signee. Thank you for your urgent attention to this life-threatening safety issue. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Lease through Chrysler Capital INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The vehicle is subject to three critical safety recalls with no available remedy: 25V-741 (High-Voltage Battery Fire), 25V-766 (Engine Sand Contamination/Fire), and 25V-710 (Software Loss of Power). Following manufacturer instructions, I have been forced to park the vehicle outdoors away from structures due to fire risk and refrain from charging. For Recall 25V-766, a 'Do Not Drive' advisory has been issued due to the risk of catastrophic engine failure or compartment fire. The vehicle is currently inoperable and unusable as a hybrid. I have presented the vehicle to an authorized dealer, who confirmed that no parts or repairs exist. I have suffered a total loss of use for 42 days. This is a severe fire and crash risk with no timeline for repair.

Dec 15, 2025

I leased a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from Gengras CJDR in Fairfield, CT. I received two catastrophic recall notices from Jeep on Nov. 24th, 2025 and was notified of a third catastrophic recall when speaking to Jeep Customer Care on Nov. 25th, 2025. The first recall notice, # 68C/NHTSA25V-741, pertains to the car's high voltage battery. The HV battery in my vehicle "may become damaged during normal vehicle operation, which could lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from charging. Out of an abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained". FCA US has NO REMEDY at this time. The second recall notice, #A7C/NHTSA25V-710, pertains to the vehicle's HCP randomly resetting, which causes a loss of engine power, regardless of vehicle speed. The vehicle has been updated with "Firmware Over-the-Air" software which may cause incomplete communication between the Telematics Box Module (TBM) and the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP), this condition may cause the HCP to perform a reset. An hcp which resets while driving may cause a loss of drive power which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. FCA US has NO REMEDY at this time. I was advised of the third recall notice when I spoke to Carl, of Jeep Customer Care, on November 25th, 2025. I was assigned case #XXX. I was told the third recall involves remnants of sand and finishing debris of the engine block was found to cause the engine cylinders to seize, causing a loss of drive power and possibly a crash as well. FCA US has NO REMEDY for this recall either. My car is a DEATH TRAP! How can Jeep continue to sell a car like this and not face a class action lawsuit? I refuse to drive the car. Dec 12, 2025

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently under an active safety recall due to a high-voltage battery fire risk. Stellantis has instructed owners not to park the vehicle near structures and not to charge it until a repair is available. I live in a multi-unit residential building, and it is not possible to park away from structures, which makes it impossible to comply with the manufacturer's safety instructions. I also have a newborn, making this an immediate safety concern. There is no repair available at this time, and no timeline for a permanent remedy. Despite this, I am still required to make full lease payments and retain possession of a vehicle that cannot be safely used or stored. Stellantis has offered only a rental vehicle, which does not resolve the ongoing safety risk, housing limitations, or financial burden associated with this recall. This defect substantially impairs the safe use of the vehicle and poses a fire hazard to occupants and nearby residences. I am requesting regulatory review and assistance.

Dec 10, 2025

There are 3 recalls on the 2024 Jeep Wranglers 4XE. They include a fire risk. We are not supposed to charge our vehicles and not park them near structures. This defeats the entire purpose of getting a electric vehicle. This car can not function for the reason it is purchased. Not being able to park in a garage as well? This is crazy! According to your website and Jeep, it has been 2 months since the first recall and there is no remedy available. I'm not sure what we are exepted to deem a "reasonable" amount of time for a remedy, but two months of nothing is plenty long in my book. Plus, when there is a remedy it will take time to book appointments then taking time off work to get this fixed. There are been many recalls concerning the jeep batteries on past models. Shouldn't this have been taken care of before the sold more? Another issue is resale value. How will I be able to get full value of my car's worth with recalls and worries of future ones?

Subject: Formal Safety Complaint – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN ending XXX) To Whom It May Concern, My name is [XXX] , and I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, leased through Stellantis Financial Services. The vehicle is currently under multiple active recalls, including a high‑voltage battery fire-risk recall (68C) and Recall 78C, with no available remedy. I have been instructed not to park the vehicle near homes or structures and not to use the EV/hybrid system, which indicates a known fire hazard. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate or store and results in a full loss of normal use. Despite repeated attempts (9) through Jeep Customer Care, the recall center, and Stellantis Financial Services, I have received no assistance, safe alternative, loaner, or resolution. I respectfully request NHTSA intervention to require Stellantis to provide a remedy, a goodwill lease termination, a loaner vehicle, or a manufacturer-crafted safe alternative until repairs can be completed. I own a Jeep Wrangler 4xe that has multiple active Safety Recalls involving risk of fire and sudden loss of power. The dealer refuses to provide an immediate remedy and Stellantis has denied providing safe transportation while the recall is unresolved. Stellantis representatives told me to continue driving the vehicle despite the documented safety risk. I already opened a case with Stellantis (Case Number: 94937890), but no solution has been provided. I rely on this vehicle for daily transportation and income, and I cannot safely operate it under these conditions. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure that the manufacturer provides a safe remedy and transportation solution.

Jeep has issues two safety recalls 68C and 78C . 78C says that engine can be stopped anytime during driving on highway. But they are not fixing it. Battery issue 68C is going on last four years. Where is the accountability? How can they sell a new vehicle in 2024 when they already knew that it had a defective battery ?

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Recall: 78C / NHTSA 25V-766 Mileage: 6,975 miles Location: California Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under safety recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766) for catastrophic engine failure, fire risk, and unexpected/unrecoverable loss of propulsion. The recall notice states that the engine may contain sand contamination from the casting process, which can cause sudden engine failure and a potential vehicle fire without warning. The biggest concern is that no remedy exists, and the manufacturer has stated the repair is “under development.” This means I am driving (or parked with) a vehicle that may suddenly lose power or catch fire. This creates a major safety hazard for me, my passengers, and the public. My vehicle has only 6,975 miles and is well within warranty, yet neither Jeep nor the dealership can perform any repair to address this safety defect. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure the manufacturer provides a remedy, loaner vehicle, or buyback for unsafe vehicles with no available repair. Thank you.

Dec 2, 2025

Hi, I am writing regarding my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ), which is currently under both fire-risk safety recalls. I have been advised not to charge the vehicle and to keep it parked away from my home, buildings, and other cars due to the potential battery fire hazard. At this time, the dealership has confirmed that they are unable to perform the recall repair or provide a timeline for when the necessary parts and remedy will be available. As a result, the vehicle is not safe or practical to use and I am paying for a vehicle I cannot use for reasons intended. Given that the vehicle is unusable due to an unresolved safety defect, I am requesting an early lease termination or manufacturer-assisted replacement. I believe this falls under a reasonable expectation for relief when a vehicle cannot be safely operated and the manufacturer cannot complete the required recall repair within a reasonable timeframe. Please open a case for review and advise on the next steps. I am happy to provide any additional documentation you may need, including the recall notice and my communications with the dealer. I have called Jeep & Stellantis multiple times and neither are willing to help me resolve this issue. I have also opened a case with the BBB. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to resolving this as soon as possible. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Dec 1, 2025

I am filing a complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler under an active safety recall involving the high-voltage battery. Jeep has stated that there is no repair available and advised owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park it in a garage or near structures due to a potential fire risk. This creates a major safety hazard, and I am unable to use the vehicle as intended. The recall has caused: • Loss of use • Safety concerns for my home and family • Diminished value of the vehicle I am requesting NHTSA to investigate the delay and require Jeep/Stellantis to provide an immediate remedy, repairs, loaner vehicle, or buyback.

Nov 28, 2025

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has two serious safety recalls: A7C and 68C. Recall A7C states the vehicle may lose propulsion while driving, which can cause a crash without warning. Recall 68C states the high-voltage battery may be damaged during normal use and may cause a vehicle fire. Jeep instructs owners to not charge the vehicle and to park away from structures. The manufacturer states that no remedy is available for either recall. This makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, unsafe to park at home, and unusable as designed. The manufacturer has provided no timeline for repair. This is an unresolved, dangerous safety hazard.

Nov 25, 2025

I have received a recall notice indicating that my Jeep Wrangler 4XE poses safety risks not only to myself but also to others. The notice advises me against parking the vehicle near any structures or my home, which is particularly concerning given that this Jeep is my sole means of transportation to and from work. My troubles began on January 18, 2024, the very first day I leased this vehicle, when it unexpectedly failed. Subsequently, Jeep provided me with a second Wrangler 4XE on January 22, 2024, but just three days later, that vehicle also malfunctioned and required a week-long stay in the shop for repairs. It is evident that this car is unsafe, and I believe Jeep was aware of these issues prior to my purchase. Having invested $10,000 as a down payment, I find myself in a precarious situation with a dangerous vehicle and no viable remedy from the manufacturer. It is clear that I should never have been sold this car in the first place.

Nov 21, 2025

2 major safety recalls on the vehicle. Manufacturer advised not to drive the vehicle. No solution provided. No loaner vehicle offered. This is my only vehicle, not driving it is not an option, I need transportation to and from work. I have a family. I am terrified to drive the vehicle, let alone put my kids in it. I have reached out to the dealership, Stellantis and OEM in regards to rectifying the situation with either a loaner vehicle or release me from the lease due to the vehicle not being safe to drive.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe High Altitude currently has two open recalls with no repair remedy available. One of the recalls includes fire risk with instructions to not park the vehicle indoors or near structures. I work in a hospital where I am required to park in a multi-story parking garage with hundreds of other vehicles, so I am unable to comply with Jeep/Stellantis' safety instructions. This puts me, my coworkers, and the facility at risk. Stellantis opened two case numbers for me, one for a potential buyback and one for a rental care request. After multiple calls, I was told to continue to wait and drive the vehicle. Now I am forced to drive a recalled vehicle and park the recalled vehicle daily despite the fire warnings. Stellantis has provided no. safe alternative transportation, no timeline, and no solution. I am being told to continue operating a vehicle that they have acknowledged presents a potential fire hazard, while giving me no ability to follow their own safety guidelines. I am requesting NHTSA assistance because this situation represents a serious safety issue, and Stellantis has not ordered any remedy or safe option while the recall remains open.

While driving my vehicle on October the day after the over the air software update was pushed out I got in my vehicle and started to drive and about a half mile from my house the vehicle shut off and said to put in park. I did that and then restarted the vehicle. immediately after I did that and started to drive the check engine light came on. I had noticed earlier that people were discussing this on a Facebook group so I looked again and saw several people were having the same issue. Some said to try and soft reset the Uconnect device by have the vehicle in ACC mode and holding the power and tune button down until it resets. I did this and and after it reset i was able to drive the vehicle but the check engine light stayed on. I continued driving to the store and when I was almost home it shut off again. I then did the reset and made it back home. Once i got home I disconnected the battery and let it set for about an hour unplugged. When I plugged it back in I did another reset. The check engine light was off due to disconnecting the battery and I did not have any more issues with this.

Nov 8, 2025

The battery died multiple times and has been replaced costing multiple days without transportation. Battery caused additional part repair and has been recently repaired. This is the 5th time going into shop for recall/issues on my vehicle with only 10k miles on it. Now with the safety recall with no solution I do not feel confident that this vehicle is safe and reliable for my family and daily life.

I began having massive roof leaks on 27 February 2025, seven days after purchase, resulting in me taking my vehicle back to the dealer for roof leak repairs (1" repair attempt). I also took my vehicle back to the dealership again on 4 March 2025 for a second roof leak (2" repair attempt). On 7 April 2025 after torrential rain, my vehicle roof leaked again for the third time resulting in a call to the dealership for status. On 8 April 2025, I took my vehicle back to the dealership for roof leak repair after the vehicle roof leaked again over night resulting in the (3rd repair attempt/4th roof leak). On 14 April 2025 I took my vehicle to the dealership for roof leak repair, which was the 4th repair attempt. My vehicle remained at Classic Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Arlington from 14 April 2025 through 28 April 2025 (14 days). On 30 April 2025, two days after getting the vehicle back from the dealership on 28 April 2025 the roof leaked yet again only worse than previous leaks being that the roof was leaking on both the drivers and passenger sides resulting in water damage to both doors and it's electrical components, the dashboard and it's components, the seats, floorboard and the bottom of vehicle had started presenting with rust. On 2 May 2025, after checking the vehicle after rain the night before I determined that the vehicle roof had leaked yet again resulting in 3-5 inches of rain puddling in the floorboard of the vehicle and the instrument panel was skewed, water dripping from under the dashboard and speakers, the driver side seats were soaked and water running down the passenger side door and window. This vehicle has leaked from the roof on 13 separate occasions. Including being in the shop for 35 days from Sep 2- Oct 8, 2025 and is currently in the shop again gor the same roof leak issue.

On [XXX] I was driving down hill at a good speed, when all of a sudden my car completely turned off and almost threw me through the windshield. I found out that this was a result of an OTA update that I was not informed of. After this occurred and I finally got my vehicle to start, all the electric started glitching and the rear view camera only operates sometimes. This car is very dangerous I will not get back in it ever again. My vehicle is at Coastline Chrysler in San Juan Capistrano, California where it will remain as I do not intend on ever getting back in it again. I am requesting to get out of the last 11 months of my lease and a full refund for 25 lease payments as well as my $4500 cash deposit upon leasing. Over-the-air firmware update that caused an in-motion shutdown while driving. various dash lights came on, shift to park indicator flashed, loss power, steering wheel stiffened up to the point it wouldn't move. There were no warnings before it went haywire. My family's safety was at risk as we were driving and it put us in danger and had to carefully get to the side of the road. We had it towed to Jeep where they say they fixed it but we have no trust to drive it now. The service advisor at the Jeep dealerships said "it looks like someone at Jeep pushed the big red button and sent out an update that wasn't ready yet" which is a huge concern for all Jeep owners.

Oct 18, 2025

Software update caused my Jeep to go into automatic engine shutdown while driving on a busy street. The D started to flash and screen said to put in park then Jeep glitched and jerked and I had to stop. This happened multiple times while I attempted to safely get home. Check engine light came on. I made it home. Waited a few hours. Turned Jeep off and on. Waited another half hour. Tried again multiple times throughout night then light happened to go off.

Oct 15, 2025

After an automatic UConnect software update on Saturday 10/11/25, my vehicle stalled out multiple times while driving. Even though it's in drive, the vehicle automatically shifted into park, the dashboard lit up, and the vehicle dead stopped in the middle of traffic. I took it to a Jeep dealership near me where they said many drivers are having the same issue. Worst than that, is that I had to call Chrysler just to get a rental car approval, but since the incident happened on a Saturday of a holiday weekend, I have been 4 days without a car.

Oct 15, 2025

After an update on the vehicle it shut off while driving, I had no control of the steering. All the lights on the dash came one and I had to put it in park and restart the car. Then the check engine light came on.

Oct 15, 2025

I have been dissecting and putting off the update of the Uconnect software that has recently been known to brick vehicles for about five days now when I was stopped at a light, the car push through the update andand auto updated without my selecting to do so. This caused the car to turn to a message saying to put it in park and press start in order to drive and turned on the check engine light. Luckily this is a long light, but I had to restart the vehicle in order to get it moving dirt before the traffic started to flow.

Oct 14, 2025

On Friday 10/10 a message appeared on the dash asking to do an update. I hit yes. I was parked and had to go into a store. I came out and proceeded to drive onto a busy 4 lane road. I got onto the road and increased speed when the car stalled and the wheel locked forcing me to have to put the hazards on and came to a stop in the middle of an intersection. I was almost hit from multiple sides. I managed to restart the car and pull into a parking lot. It then had to be towed to the dealership. I have learned that there was a glitch with this update causing similar issues with many other jeeps. This is very dangerous

Vehicle shutdown. Loss of motive power after updated software from Uconnect. Check engine light pop up and unable to drive

Oct 13, 2025

A serious safety issue that occurred earlier today. While driving with my family on the highway, my 2024 Wrangler 4xe suddenly shut down completely without warning. I was fortunate to pull over safely, but it could have resulted in a serious accident. A complete shutdown with no warning is extremely dangerous and there was no recall.

Oct 13, 2025

On 10/11/25 I was driving and the vehicle cut off. Most lights on the dash lit up and message in the screen by the odometer said stop vehicle and put it in park. I did, waited a few minutes and it started up, but the engine light remained on. Third time I got going and home which was a few miles. Next morning g engine light still on. Followed some advice from a jeep forum and did a soft reset and then shut it off and turned it back on and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. The engine light went off when I restarted and remained off for the balance of Sunday 10/12/25. Not sure of any damage this might have done and am I fixed?

Oct 13, 2025

Received over OTA UPDATE ON FRIDAY October 10th and Saturday the car was not drivable.. the car would start but shut off and lose power and the message was To shift into park and restart car.. this happened several times till I was able to drive the less than a mile to get home..thankfully this happened very close to my as there was no warning... and because the car just shut off if I was on a highway this would have caused an accident..

Vehicle lost acceleration and power while driving on my way to work. I was able to restart the Jeep and get it off the road. I was able to pull the OBD codes from the Jeep; P1E1D. I then remembered the last time I drove the Jeep, it prompted for a uconnect update (OTA). This morning was the first time driving it since that update.

Oct 13, 2025

While driving the vehicle shut down unexpectedly. This occurred in the first minutes of driving after a software update the night before. I restarted the vehicle and vehicle and it shut down 4 more times in 1 mile of driving.

Oct 13, 2025

The jeep would shut off while driving. Lights in dash flash and beep and a message is displayed to put car in park to start while the vehicle is off but coasting.

Oct 13, 2025

As I was driving I lost all power to the vehicle as well as the steering wheel locked. I was able to pull to the side of the road but the back end of my car was hanging out into traffic. The car flashed a message reading to shift into Park which once I did I was able to turn the car off and back on again but the check engine light as well as a symbol of a tool remained up. Upon further investigation I now understood this was all due to an update on the UConnect screen system that was pushed out a day prior and many others had the same effect of their Jeeps completely turning off mid driving. This was extremely dangerous and terrifying as I had zero control over the car. Keeping lucky I am still alive! I do not feel comfortable continuing to drive this vehicle. Furthermore, the dealership nor the 1800 number for Jeep are willing or able to get my a loaner car nor assist with reimbursements for a rental car. They have no answer as to a repair for this faulty update. I am very disappointed in this entire scenario

Oct 13, 2025

A software update was pushed to the vehicle and prompted me to update it when I turned the vehicle off. The next time I drove the vehicle, after about one mile, many warnings lights went off, and the vehicle turned off and was not driveable. The vehicle would not restart. Jeep acknowledged that the software update made the vehicle inoperable.

Oct 12, 2025

I was driving on the freeway when the vehicle randomly shut off and jolted me and my passengers. After turning the car off then back on the vehicle would drive fonafew miles and then repeat jolt and shut off. This seems to be linked to a software update that I did last night.

Oct 12, 2025

On 10/10/2025 My Jeep Wrangler prompted me to update the Uconnect box. After the update completed, my vehicle lost power at highway speed and started to shift to park. I had to make dangerous maneuvers, pull into the median, and attempt to restart the vehicle.

My Wrangler 4xe underwent a software update on 10/11 and since then has been stalling. It has been throwing error codes for a “stability control” issue. The car shuts off regardless of your speed, which is extremely dangerous. It left us stranded in the middle of the road several times in our 15 minute drive.

Used 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE on 10/11/25 and stalled 8 times in 2 miles. had to come to complete stop put in park and restart . I circled back home and used my husbands car to run errand. I tried calling my Dealer and they were closed. My husband tried the Jeep the next day and engine light was on but jeep ran fine. I learned from a Jeep forum today that there was an update released on uconnect on Friday 10/10/25 and it affected lots of Jeep owners with the same symptoms . I did see the notification on Saturday and delayed it the 1st time and Jeep ran fine but the accepted it later and it happened after that. Thank God i was in my quiet neighborhood and returned the Jeep home safely that day. We will report this to our dealer on Monday when they open as this was scary and the engine light is still on.

Took uConnect update last night. Upon driving after update, jeep looses power and shuts down. Everything on dash lights up. Wants you to put vehicle in park. Throws a check engine light. Upon restart check engine light stays on, go a few miles and Jeep repeats the process.

On 10/10/2025 at approximately 11:00 pm CT I was driving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on a four lane divided highway at 70 MPH. During the drive a check engine light popped on solid and three seconds later the vehicle killed power and the steering wheel locked up. The Check Engine light was solid and NOT blinking. 911 was called as this incident occurred at the crest of a hill and I was still partially on the roadway. This was following an Over the Air UConnect Box update at 5:00 pm CT. The vehicle was able to be moved to the shoulder and was towed to the service center.

After an update of the Uconnect system the vehicle will break on its one while driving and shut off. Check engine light remains on. Multiple diagnostic error codes appear.

Uconnect software update was pushed through and causing issues with drivability.

Oct 11, 2025

While driving, a warning suddenly appeared stating “Electronic Stability Control Failure.” Immediately afterward, the vehicle stopped accelerating and automatically shifted from RUN to ACC mode with no throttle response or acceleration control. Traffic was moderate, and when the vehicle abruptly lost propulsion, several cars behind me had to brake hard and nearly collided with my vehicle. I was able to coast and pull off the roadway safely, but it was a dangerous situation that could easily have caused an accident. This failure occurred without warning, and the vehicle has a history of prior powertrain and driver-assistance system issues, including repeated “Four Wheel Drive Service” and “Electric Power Steering Fail” warnings earlier in 2025. The most recent event on October 11, 2025, was the most severe and created a serious safety hazard. Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Mileage: approximately 10,000 miles Condition: Leased, well maintained, all service performed at authorized Jeep dealership

The latest Uconnect 5 update was performed by the Jeep dealership on my 2024 Wrangler 4xe on October 11th, 2024. After leaving the dealership, the vehicle shut off while driving and displayed a message instructing me to “shift to Park.” I lost propulsion and power steering, creating an immediate safety hazard. The dealership had just completed the update and told me it was safe to drive. Based on reports circulating among other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners, this appears to be a widespread issue linked to the most recent Uconnect 5 update (released around October 10, 2025). Please investigate this issue as a potential safety defect related to the software update.

Oct 11, 2025

Immediately following a Uconnect software update performed around 11:00 AM on October 11, 2025, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe stalled multiple times while driving on the highway. The vehicle lost power and became inoperable, creating an extremely dangerous situation. I was transporting my child at the time. Trouble Code: P1E1D. Number of Stalls: 3 total (1 on highway, 2 shortly after). The dealer confirmed they had received around 12 other Wrangler 4xe vehicles towed in the same day for the same issue, and another nearby dealer reported over 15. I have since learned through online owner forums that many other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners are experiencing identical failures after the same software update within the last 48 hours. Jeep/Stellantis has not issued any public statement or safety notice. This is a critical safety hazard affecting many vehicles and should be treated as a potential defect related to the most recent Uconnect update.

Installed telematics box module update on 10/10/25. Now the Jeep is continuously saying to service the electronic assistance system and will lose complete power while driving and display the “shift to Park” and service engine light is on (lost power 3 times in less than a 2 mile distance).

Oct 11, 2025

My vehicle is no longer working properly after the most recent update that happened on 10/10 my vehicle experienced weird sticking/stuttering while accelerating and then fully turned off on the road while driving. It was incredibly dangerous and I’m just glad there wasn’t anyone directly behind me at the time otherwise I would have for sure been rear ended. Now it shuts off every few minutes and the check engine light is on

I am writing to report a critical safety issue involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe following the most recent Uconnect system update. After installing the update, my vehicle completely shut off while driving on the highway, putting my entire family in immediate danger. This was not a minor malfunction—our lives were at risk. After researching online and communicating with other Jeep owners, I have learned that this Uconnect-related failure is affecting multiple 2024 4xe vehicles, indicating a widespread and serious defect that must be addressed immediately. I am demanding immediate contact from a senior executive or engineer to discuss this issue, next steps for resolution, and assurance that Jeep will take full responsibility for this safety hazard. If I do not receive a prompt response, I will be escalating this matter through legal channels and reporting it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for investigation.

On 10/10/2025 there was an OTA update to the telematics/Uconnect system in my car. After it finished the car shut off while I was driving it multiple times. I lost all power and had to coast to the side of the road. This is extremely unsafe. Everyone that did the update is having this issue.

Diving when alert came on that said service charging system and vehicle was going to be disabled. With in seconds vehicle powered off. I was barely able to pull off and part of my vehicle was still stuck sticking out on a busy road. Vehicles check engine light came, battery light and a message about the charging system. Has to have the vehicle towed to the dealer. I was told this was the 4th jeep towed there today after yesterday’s update.

After i updated software last night, the car stopped in the middle of the road. The shift was flashing and check engine light came on saying “put in park” it happened 4 time as of now. I have to turn off the car and turn it back on the put in drive.

Oct 11, 2025

Following last nights software update, this morning while driving car alert beeped and dash read “shift to P to start” and engine light came on. I restarted and engine light on. Car seemed to be in electric and gas mode at the same time.

After an over the air update, when driving the vehicle all of the sudden thought the car was parked and lost all power. After coming to an immediate uncontrolled stop, I was able to shift into park and then drive again however due to the issue and many others reporting I am not comfortable driving above 25 MPH.

Sep 3, 2025 Crash

Regarding bullet point one: Not sure Bullet 2:My safety and my husband's safety would have been at risk if it had crashed into our house as he was sitting where it could have possibility entered the house. Bullet 3: Not sure Bullet 4: Vehicle was has not been inspected by manufacturer. Jeep was not driveable. State Farm was contacted and a wrecker came and towed the vehicle to Caliber Collision. The Jeep is there now. Drove into driveway and placed Jeep in reverse to back up to a shed. I put my foot on the accelerator to backup but the Jeep lurched forward and accelerated. It would not stop, even as I tried to brake, until it ran through a privacy fence knocking down 3 cemented metal posts and bent another one. It also ran over a metal bird cage, metal table, Talavara bird bath, and uprooted an 8+' shrub before coming to a stop inches away from our HVAC unit and the house. Marks on the driveway seem to indicate the right rear tire kept turning and the left rear tire buried into the ground almost up to the axle. Bullet 5: There were no warning lights or signals before the accident.

We leased our jeep [XXX and started having Software (SW) issues in December 2023. We were informed in June 2024, after having multiple SW issues, from dealer senior mechanic that 90% of the first wave 2024 Jeep Wranglers had SW issues. Our jeep was a first wave unit, we were not informed of a possible SW during test drive. There's been two SW updates that I know of, one in late Jun 2024 and another in mid Sept 2024. Neither fixed all the SW issues and in fact added more additional issues. Dates listed or beginning dates. Issues include Control-D: going totally blank starting in Jan 2024 on startup or while driving or starting, in Oct 2024 having a half inch strip across the top and down left side, Dash navigation direction provides two dashes starting Jul 2024 on startup and for about 30sec, GPS freezing up in Aug 2024, all functions on screen froze up Nov 2024, to name a few. FCA US LLC has no idea when the next SW update will be released or what fix's will be included. Hardware (HW): Mar 2024 headlights with switch in Auto will come on in broad sunlight. While driving on [XXX], engine warning light came on and remained on for a total of 36hours during start up and driving time. Presently at Starr Motors Suffolk, VA since Dec 16, 2024. They have been directed to trouble shoot and fix HW. We've were informed Jan 14, 2025, that the Oil Control Valve is bad, and more testing will be performed once parts are replaced. With the SW and HW issues this jeep has had, we believe it is not operationally safe to drive. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I believe a serious malfunction occurred with a 2024 Jeep Wrangler on [XXX], the day after I purchased the vehicle. The incident took place while I was driving westbound on [XXX] , at a speed of 65 mph. At the time of the incident, I had both front Targa Top Panels removed, both front windows down, and both rear windows up. Suddenly, I was struck in the face by what felt like a rock. This unexpected impact caused me to swerve dangerously close to the median. Almost immediately, I noticed I was bleeding and experienced excruciating pain. Upon exiting the highway at my home exit, I checked on my nonverbal child to ensure their safety. To my dismay, I discovered an adjustable turning loop cover on the rear back floor of the vehicle. After further investigation I noticed my rearview mirror had a crack also. I'm confident this piece flew from my passenger side of my vehicle, hit off my window shield or rearview mirror, and into my face. Concerned about the safety implications of this malfunction, I returned to the dealership, Tyson’s Motor Shorewood in IL, where I purchased the Jeep. Although they offered to reattach the piece, I declined, as I believed this could pose a further risk of injury. I no longer own this Jeep after sustaining this injury I felt compelled to sell it for the safety of myself, and my children. I have reported this incident to Jeep, and my case number is #[XXX]. The malfunction resulted in a laceration and bruising to my face, and I strongly believe that this issue warrants investigation. The potential for more serious injuries, especially to other occupants or drivers, is a significant concern. I had several safety concerns regarding the 2024 Jeep Wrangler that I purchased and subsequently traded in after only 31 days due to multiple issues that I believe may compromise vehicle safety. Upon purchasing the vehicle, I noticed that the front inner splash guards were loose. After the dealership, Tyson’s Motors in Shorewood, IL, replaced both splash guards, I discovered that the front left splash guard had plugs that fell out, exposing critical hoses underneath. This issue raised immediate concerns about the potential for damage to these hoses and the vehicle's overall safety. In addition to the splash guard issue, I experienced further safety concerns, including screws from the inside speakers located between the front and rear seats falling off while driving, as well as a loose headlight pin. These problems not only posed a risk to my safety but also created an environment of uncertainty regarding the overall reliability of the vehicle. Due to these ongoing issues, I felt it necessary to trade in the Wrangler for an identical model, as I believed the original vehicle was possibly faulty. Unfortunately, the replacement vehicle caused me injury just two days later, which I have also reported to the NHTSA, dealership and Jeep. I believe these issues warrant serious attention and investigation to prevent potential safety hazards for other drivers, passengers, and those driving on the road.
