I have the pearl white paint on this vehicle. It is peeling off the car.

THE PAINT ON MY 2015 KIA SORENTO (SNOW WHITE PEARL) IS PEELING OFF LARGE SHEETS, EXPOSING THE METAL UNDERNEATH. THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE AFFECTING MANY KIA AND HYNDAI VEHICLES. I AM CONCERED IT WILL LEAD TO RUST, SAFETY ISSUES, AND REDUCE VISIBILITY. A PIECE LADED ON MY WINDSHIELD BLOCKING MY VIEW. KIA HAS DENIED REPAIR AND HAS A CASE PENDING MORE RESEARCH. CASE NUMBER IS 25399760. THIS IS CLEARY A MANFACTURER DEFECT HAPPENING TO THIS COLOR ONLY. IT IS PEELING ON THE HOOD AND DOORS AND BACK SIDE. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER

My 2015 pearl white Kia Sorento has had paint peeling off of the hood and front of the roof. It is getting really bad and there is rust and corrosion now. It's been doing this for a couple of years and it's really bad now. There is now reason for that. When I drive around I keep an eye out and I see Sorento after Sorento with the same exact problem -- paint peeling in the same spots with rust and corrosion starting. Online you can find forums and a facebook page about it. It's an awful issue that starts out as a bad cosmetic issue and become an even worse body and safety issue due to the rust and corrosion. I will include photos from July 2023 to show how it was bad even back then. It's even worse now.

My Kia Sorento has the pearl white paint that began peeling 4 years ago. That is a known issue for Kia vehicles made between 2013 and 2019. [XXX] . I NEED KIA TO BE RESPONSABLE AND PAID FOR FIXING THIS PROBLEM. i WILL NOT FILE A CLAIM IN MY CAR INSURANCE FOR THIS, BECAUSE I DID NOT CREATE THIS PROBLEM, KIA DID.

The paint on my SUV began to peel off. I have pictures documenting the issue, and the car has been temporarily fixed. The safety of myself and others wasn't directly compromised. The problem has been confirmed by other Kia owners experiencing similar issues with the same paint type. A body shop inspected the vehicle, but it hasn't been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were no warning signs prior to the paint peeling.

THE PAINT IS BUBBLING AND BLISTERING ALONG WITH DELMINATION IN SOME AREA'S. I SEE THIS IS A KNOWN REOCCURRING ISSUE WITH THE SNOW WHITE PEARL PAINT ON MANY OTHER KIA'S AS WELL. MY CAR ONLY HAS 31,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THIS MANUFACTURER ISSUE. FIRST NOTICED A SMALL DELAMINATION ON THE A PILLAR IN 2019, NOW BLISTERS ARE NOTICED AND SPEADING OVER MANY PANELS OF THE VEHICLE

Paint stated flaking significantly at 79k miles. It has gotten out of control and we keep this garaged and hardly drive it. I have read other Kia owners dealing with the same issue. It's not normal wear and tear with the paint. It's large chunks of paint coming off.

My suv has paint that is peeling off of the suv that is not due to damage or something external to the paints surface. The color is pearl white and has been documented by many owners of cars Kia's with the pearl white paint color. The location on the passenger side a pillar is also a common starting point for this paint issue.

Paint on ridge above driver side window began delaminating and completely eroded over a day. This happened while the car was parked without any rain or other impact.

After review by local body shops, the paint/primer on the body of our Kia has been flaking off. This is s known issue by Kia for multiple years with multiple examples of various Kia vehicles with various color types. This is a concern as over time the raw metal will deteriorate, rust and cause further structural issues. The problem has been reviewed both by the manufacturer as well as multiple independent body shops as mentioned above. There were no warnings on the vehicle. The paint started to show cracks and then continuously started to chip and flake off the vehicle which is continues to do today.

Prior rapid delamination on "A" pillar of both passenger and driver sides and center roof (repaired 2021, out of pocket cost $2000). Rapid delamination began approximately October, 2022, 105,000 miles on vehicle; increasingly becoming worse.

The paint is delamanating and flaking cause value to drop daily. A 2015 should not have this issue, Toyota recalled for the same issues. It start with a very small spot and has incresed daily in size and new spots are appearing daily.

The paint on this vehicle is aggressively peeling and I was told by a local Kia dealership to submit a complaint as it is a common problem with the snow white colored Kia Sorrento in this year. There is nothing I can do to stop the paint from continuing to peel, and it has continued to get worse over time.

right rear passenger door handle. It is made of plastic and crumbled in my hand as i attempted to open the door to remove my 3 yr old great grandson. I had the child safety lock engaged, so when I tried to crawl across back seat to open that door from the inside I was unable to. I undid car seat buckles and pulled him across back seat, out opposite door. This occurred Mid June 2023. I ordered new handle, had installed by neighbor end of June 2023 and the new one has now started to come apart August 2 2023. I didn't have inspected as a neighbor shared she's had to replace her handles 3 times, it seems to be a common issue. Concerned for safety, have to keep child safety lock on for great grandson and if he or anyone needing to make emergency/quick exit unable to so. I don't want anyone to get trapped in car in our extreme Phoenix heat. My opposite rear door is not fully functionable as the window requlator has broken and the window is inoperable and I don't want to disassemble till the new one is available/affordable so I wouldn't be without the airbag plug attached.

Snow white pearl paint is chipping on the front end. Started on driver side front quarter panel now its on hood and front bumper. This is so irritating!!!! I can't even wash my car without something chipping!!! The cost to repaint those areas is around $5500.00. Kia really needs to get this issue fixed. They are about to loose a cash paying customer if not.

Snow white pearl paint has suddenly started peeling on passenger door and around windshield

While driving at night on 2 lane highway at speed limit the engine seized as I pressed acceleration. Had to get to safe spot to pull off while just coasting as other drivers got upset so glad I didn’t get hit from behind. Had to be towed home had mechanic look at it he said engine is needing replaced. Kia knows they have a recall on engines but won’t fix unless something happens that’s dangerous! I was told when I had their knock sensor put on that would just slow the engine down before it became a danger but no that didn’t happen it literally seized at full speed limit. I called Kia said to have it towed in and they would look at it but it will take 4 weeks before they get to it. Also the paint is chipping bad on hood and above windshield on driver side I’m seeing more and more 2015 Kia Sorento with same issue all those in my town are the same spots as mine this should be a recall and repaired by Kia we spend good hard working money to have a nice vehicle and this makes it look like crap. Do better by your customers Kia!

I own a 2015 Kia Sorento in Snow White Pearl. I have 2 Complaints: 1.) The paint is peeling off of the hood. I have read many reviews online where similar issues are happening with Kia vehicles manufactured in a similar timeframe that have issues with SWP peeling off of the hood and the pillars. My car, specifically, is peeling in both the hood and the pillar. Photos attached. 2.) Our vehicle's steering wheel, when we travel over 60mph, squeaks as if it is loose metal. It sounds like a sharp squeak. It only happens when we are traveling at high speeds on the highway. Not while turning or at slow speeds. It is not a rodent or anything like that because we've had a dealership check it out. The dealership did not know the source of the squeak and recommended we got a new steering column and replaced a few other components to fix this squeak (Over $1,500, I'll be happy to share the estimate receipt). Upon searching on Google, I've seen there were more than enough posts about Kia vehicles' steering wheels squeaking to think it's a problem specific to our vehicle. Rear passenger door handle came apart. Handle clicked in place, but came apart each time attempted door opening. Auto shop replaced door handle assembly. Door was unusable. No warning other than handle falling off

2015 Kia Sorento with Snow White Pearl Paint is just peeling off of car in various areas. This is a manufacturer defect and should be repainted by Kia or reimbursed for a repaint. Several other complaints regarding this same paint color. I have filed a couple complaints to Kia who states that its out of warranty. The warranty should be extended as this is a defect. Your paint should not just peel off while you are driving down the road.

My friend was driving my car this am and an unknown driver ran the stop sign on a side street off from Stuyvesant and hit my vehicle my friend proceeded to get out my vehicle to exchange ins with the other driver as she declined my friend tried contacting me numberous times by FaceTime and phone when I finally answered the FaceTime she snapped a picture of the back of her vehicle as she was proceeding to leave I told my friend I will contact the police department to do a report because we have her license plate number and car as well

The Kia has been having paint that just comes off around the windshield at the top and now on the hood. I’ve seen several other Kia’s (white) having the same issues. Why won’t Kia stand behind this issues? I know this is not owners fault. Something is wrong with the paint on these white 2015 sorentos.

My Kia is pearl white and the paint is peeling off. I've taken it to a body shop and they said it is a factory prep issue and the paint will continue to peel. And it won't be long before the windshield starts leaking. Upon doing research, I've seen many complaints about the problem I am having. I don't think the mileage should matter.....defective paint job is a big issue. What is Kia doing to resolve this? I'm not paying over $4,000 to fix it when it's not a fault of mine.

The contact owns a 2015 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that the paint was peeling off from the vehicle's roof frame, causing it to rust. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the paint was defective and it was a known failure. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.

My 2015 KIA Sorento at around 90,000 miles started getting areas where the paint is bubbling. At 98,975 miles after a hard rain (no hail) a large spot of paint peeled off on the passenger side pillar around window. It is also starting on hood and above windshield. Snow white pearl paint has peeled after a rain storm. No evidence of issues before hand. Several other complaints on this paint color doing the exact same thing. Paint should not peel off after rain.

The paint (white pearl) is bubbling and peeling. I currently have several rust spots that appeared where the paint peeled. I have researched this issue online and found that it is a common occurrence with this particular paint color on Kia cars for this time frame. Also, the Kia dealership that I have been to is aware that this is a problem as well. I recently had the unfortunate experience of my engine seizing up and this was replaced by the manufacturer and I feel this this paint problem is a manufacturer defect as well and should be repaired by the manufacturer.

2015 Kia Sorento Pearl White There is delamination and numerous areas that the paint is peeling, and have continued to get steadily get worse. Areas so far affected: Hood, Side Mirrors, Door Posts and fenders. There are are other owners that have reported similar issues. My vehicle is a available for inspection.

2015 Kia Sorento with Snow White Paint has large areas of paint rapidly pealing off. In various spots the paint is pealing off in large chunks and has had no prior damage to the area. After going to multiple body shops I was informed that this is a common problem with this color and model year of this car. It is due to a defect in the painting process.

I have the white paint and abt 2 months ago it started chopping off in large chunks.

Snow Pearl White paint is chipping at various areas of the front portion of the vehicle. I was driving in heavy rain and then noticed a huge chunk just chipped off. Several owners with this paint color have complained of an issue this similar. Headlights are too dim at night. We have family who lives in the country with limited street light and we are forced to use our high beam lights to even see down the road. I turn on my fog lights to add extra light but it’s still hard to see further down the road.

I woke up this morning to discover that a foot long chunk of my Kia Sorento SX-L's pearl white paint had de-laminated and peeled off the driver's side front door pillar. I've come to find out this is a common due to a paint defect. I'm reporting this per instructions from other Kia owners with the issue.

Always noticed little chips on my hood then at about 65000 miles my paint just started peeling right off. So bad that I can’t wash my car or the paint will keep peeling. My auto insurance called it delamanation and said it wasn’t painted properly therefore they won’t cover it. Kia will not acknowledge to me that there is a problem, said my warranty on paint has expired. My color is pearl white and I see other white Kias all over doing the same thing. Also Hyundai’s. If you look online you will see LOTS of stories and complaints regarding this problem. Kia should be held accountable and recall this!

Paint peeling off of the hood

The body of the car is undergoing paint delamination. This begun at 70k miles on the roof and now rust is beginning. Then the hood. Then one side around windshield. Then the other side around the windshield. There was not any incident that triggered the paint delamination.

The paint is peeling away on the hood, around windshield. Also the luggage racks paint is peeling off. The hood started as a simple little paint chip then exploded will paint bubbling up then peeling off. Around the windshield started with a crack in the paint them just explored in full paint peeling. I can no longer use a drivethru car wash . I must hand wash or the Jetta just peel more off. It’s so frustrating cause I strive to take exceptional care of my vehicle.

2015 KIA Sorento Paint peeling & chipping away from door pillars, roof where windshield meets, both let & right front fenders, hood. The color is "Snow While Pearl". Started to norice small chipping around 2017 & in April 2019 a large piece peeled off the passenger side front pillar which I had repaired. Many of the chips were touched up but it continues to occur to this day.

I own a 2015 Kia Sorento LX AWD and it's painted in the pearl white finish, over the last year the paint has been peeling off on the hood and the top edge closest to the windshield, and it's even started rusting in those spots now, which range in from the size of a match tip, to the size of my palm.

My 2015 Kia Sorento's pearl white paint is now coming off in large chunks. My insurance company did review the claim I filed, however, they noted that this situation has been reported numerous times with the same pearl white paint. They did not cover my claim because they have determined this is a defect in the paint since there are so many other similar complaints. The integrity of my vehicle is compromised once large chunks of paint are coming off on a daily basis under normal sunny skies. If I have to drive through any type of rain or heavy winds even more paint starts to come off. The paint is coming off down to the bare metal and now exposed areas are starting to rust.

WHEN I INQUIRED AT KIA, THEY CLAIMED THAT BECAUSE IT WAS A PRE-OWNED CAR AND I HAD PAST MY WARRANTY OF MILEAGE (BECAUSE IT WAS A PRE-OWNED CAR) THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. I INQUIRED AT A LOCAL PAINT SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE SEAL FAILED OVER THE PAINT, CAUSING A DE-LAMINATION ISSUE. CLEAR EVIDENCE SHOWS THAT MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN RE-PAINTED AND THIS IS IN FACT A MANUFACTURER MALFUNCTION. HOWEVER, KIA STILL REFUSES TO ASSIST OR TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS DEFECT. MEANWHILE, MY CAR CONTINUES TO PEEL AT A RAPID PACE. EVEN WHEN I TAKE TO GET MY CAR SERVICED, MECHANICS ARE UNABLE TO PERFORM ROUTINE MAINTENANCE DUE TO THE PAINT CHIPPING OFF IN THEIR TAPE AND OTHER SUPPLIES.

I'M AFRAID THIS WILL LEAD TO THE BARE METAL RUSTING, CAUSING LEAKAGE AROUND THE WINDSHIELD OR EVEN WORSE, WEAKENING THE INTEGRITY OF THE ROOF AND THE AREA SURROUNDING THE WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE IS PAINTED WHITE METALLIC. I HAVE NOTICED MANY OTHER WHITE KIA PRODUCTS HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES. I CONTACTED ME DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS BUT IT'S NOT A RECALL. WE PURCHASED THE EXTENDED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTEE BUT WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT PAINT ISN'T INCLUDED. I FIRST NOTICED THE ISSUE IN THE FIRST FEW YEARS OF OWNERSHIP BUT THE ISSUES HAVE CONTINUED TO GET BIGGER AND HAVE OCCURRED IN OTHER PLACES ON THE VEHICLE.

STARTING A YEAR AGO, THE PAINT ON MY 2015 VEHICLE (LESS THAN 60K MILES) BEGAN TO FLAKE OFF. I HAVE THE KIA PEARL WHITE COLOR AND MY STORY IS CONSISTENT WITH THE HUNDREDS OF OTHER CASES ONLINE. THE PAINT FLAKES OFF WITH PRESSURE FROM A GARDEN HOSE. I KEEP MY CAR CLEAN AND DETAILED (TWICE A YEAR). THERE ARE NO DENTS OR MARKS AT ANY OF THE LOCATIONS VALIDATING THAT THIS ISN'T DAMAGE FROM A ROCK OR ROAD DEBRI. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO SEVERAL PAINT AND BODY SHOPS AND THEY ALL RECOMMEND THE PAINT BE REMOVED COMPLETELY AS MY ONLY OPTION OF REPAIR BECAUSE THE ORGINAL PAINT IS NOT BONDED PROPERLY TO THE BODY. KIA REFUSES TO ADMIT THAT THIS IS A DEFECT.

GOT HOME AFTER DRIVING 20 MINUTES FROM WORK AND I NOTICE A GOOD PORTION OF THE WHITE PAINT HAS PEELED OFF ON THE PASSENGER SIDE A-PILLAR BY THE WINDSHIELD. UPON CLOSE INSPECTION, THE PAINT LOOKS LIKE IT'S CHIPPING OFF AND EVENTUALLY GETTING PEELED FROM THE BODY BY THE WIND WHILE DRIVING. NOTHING APPEARS TO HAVE HIT THE AREA AND IT WAS A CLEAN PEEL OF THE PAINT

MY 2015 KIA SORRENTO HAS PAINT THAT IS CHIPPING OFF IN LARGE CHUNKS AROUND THE WINSHIELD AND THE HOOD. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. I SPOKE WITH KIA CONSUMER ASSURANCE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE ONLY MODELS COVERED IS 2011-2014. I PURCHASED MY KIA SORRENTO IN APRIL 2014, ALTHOUGH IT IS A 2015 MODEL. I WANT TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS MODEL. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE IN THIS AREA.

PAINT IS PEELING OFF WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE, PROGRESSIVELY WORSENING WITH TIME.

I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MANY OTHER WHITE KIAS ARE DOING THE SAME THING. THE PATCHES ARE GETTING WORSE AND PEELING IN BIG CHUNKS NOW. MY CAR IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND TOLD BY KIA THIS IS NOT COVERED. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN KIA FOR NOT TAKING FAULT ON CLEARLY CHEAP PAINT PLACED ON ALL WHITE PEARL KIAS.

AT AROUND 59,000 MILE THE PAINT AROUND THE WINDSHIELD STARTED CHIPPING AWAY. IT NOW IS AT ALMOST 83,000 MILES AND THE SPOTS HAVE BEGUN TO RUST. DRIVING PEELS THE PAINT. IF THERE IS A HEAVY THUNDER STORM WITH HIGH WINDS IT PEELS THE PAINT. I HAVE GONE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY COULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS PEELING AND RUSTING IS BECAUSE I WAS GOING THROUGH CAR WASHES AND THE CHEMICALS THAT ARE USED CAUSED THE ISSUE. I ONLY EVER HAD THE DEALERSHIP WASH MY CAR OR AT HOME. THE UNDERCOAT IS ALSO PEELING WHICH I BELIEVE IS WHY THE CAR IS NOW RUSTING. IT IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND SHOULD NOT BE USED ON ANY OTHER VEHICLES.

AROUND 46,000 MILES PAINT STARTING PEELING OFF ROOF JUST ABOVE WINDSHIELD AND A FEW SPOTS ON FRONT FENDER AND ELSEWHERE. KIA WON'T COVER REPAIR SAYS IT IS PAST 3 YEARS OR 36,000 MILES. I COMPLAINED ITS BAD PAINT JOB TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN SO SOON.

THE PEARL WHITE PAINT IS CHIPPING OFF OF MY KIA SORENTO ON THE WINDSHIELD PILLARS, ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD AND THE HOOD AND VARIOUS OTHER LOCATIONS.... THE PAINT FINISH IS FAULTY AND WAS NOT PROPERLY APPLIED

PAINT IS DELAMINATING AND PEELING AT THE TOP AND SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. SO BADLY THAT I'M AFRAID TO WASH IT! IT'S STARTING TO RUST NOW FROM IT. IT IS CONSISTENTLY GETTING WORSE WITHOUT ME EVEN TOUCHING IT.

THE PEARL WHITE PAINT ON MY 2015 KIA SORRENTO IS PEELING OFF. SMALL AREAS AROUND THE WINDSHIELD STARTED AT FIRST AND NOW THE SIDES OF THE WINDSHIELD ARE COMING OFF IN LARGER SECTIONS. ALL OF THESE AREAS ARE STARTING TO SHOW SIGNS OF RUST AS WELL. ADDITIONALLY, THERE ARE SEVERAL SMALL SPOTS ON THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE WHICH ARE SHOWING SIGNS OF RUST AS WELL. THIS IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE OVER TIME AND I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE (NOT EVEN WASHING IN FEAR OF MORE COMING OFF) AT THIS POINT.

I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT IN A GRAIN SILO TOWN IN KANSAS (COMING UP ON OAKLEY FROM COLORADO SPRINGS) AND THERE WERE NO CARS AROUND ME. THE WEATHER WASN'T DRASTICALLY CHANGING AND THERE WAS NO ADVERSE WEATHER. SUDDENLY, IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION ON THE TOP OF MY CAR. THE FABRIC PARTITION THAT SEPARATES THE SUNROOF FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR STARTS SHAKING VIOLENTLY IN THE WIND AND THERE WAS SOME GLASS SHARDS THAT FELL INTO THE CAR. IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT THE INCIDENT SCARED BOTH ME AND MY TWO KIDS WHO WERE IN THE CAR WITH ME. I PULLED OVER TO THE CLOSEST GAS STATION AND TOOK A LOOK AT THE DAMAGE (SEEN IN THE PICTURE BELOW). AS I HAD THE REST OF MY ROAD TRIP TO ACCOMPLISH (KANSAS CITY, MO), MY HUSBAND MET ME IN OAKLEY, KS WITH HIS CAR AND WE MADE THE EXCHANGE. I AM A VERY METICULOUS DRIVER WHO INSPECTS EVERYTHING BEFORE A ROAD TRIP: TIRE PRESSURE, WINDOW CRACKS, INTERIOR IS INTACT, DRASTIC CHANGE IN WEATHER ALONG THE TRIP, ETC. I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT TO LOOK AT THE SUNROOF AND EVEN IF I DID, I'M NOT SURE I WOULD HAVE FOUND ANYTHING. IF I WERE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY I COULD WRITE THIS WHOLE INCIDENT OFF AS MAYBE A STRAY ROCK. HOWEVER, THERE WAS NOTHING AROUND ME.

'TAKATA RECALL' MY DRIVERS SIDE BACK DOOR QUIT OPENING!! THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD IF I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND NEEDED TO USE THAT DOOR TO GET OUT I COULDN'T. NOT TO MENTION MY CHILDREN CANNOT USE THAT DOOR TO ENTER OR EXIT MY VEY ANYMORE. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENED BUT I HAVE SEEN VIDEOS OF THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO OTHER KIA SORENTOS ON LINE. I WILL NOT FIX THIS ON MY OWN I FELL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE BEHALF OF KIA. I'M STILL PAYING ON THIS CAR I BOTH IT BRAND NEW IT'S A 2015 MODEL. THIS HAPPENED APROXMENTLY 1 1/2 MONTHS AGO. IT IS PEELING OFF AROUND THE WINDSHIELD WHICH IF IT STARTS TO RUST THE WHOLE WINDSHIELD COULD COME UNGLUED AND FLY OFF POSSIBLY CAUSING HARM TO THE DRIVER OR OTHER CARS. I HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH KIA ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH NO RESULTS. I THINK THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE PAINT BECAUSE PAINT SHOULD NOT BE CHIPPING/PEELING OFF LIKE IT IS. THERE IS ALSO RUSTING IN THE PAINT UNDER THE CLEAR BRA THAT IS ON THE HOOD. WHICH IS ALSO A DEFECT IN THE PAINT AND COULD LEAD TO RUSTING OF THE METAL HOOD

ROOF RAIL DETACHED ON HIGHWAY WHILE HAULING KAYAK, SPEED 30 MPH. GUST OF CROSSWIND. RAIL IS PLASTIC AND THE FLANGES ON THE END ARE HELD ON BY TWO SCREWS AT EACH END ON THE OUT SIDE EDGE ONLY.PLASTIC AT THAT POINT IS PAPER THIN. INSIDE EDGE OF FLANGE IS NOT ATTACHED AT ALL. THIS ALLOWS THE RAIL TO ROLL OFF TO THE OUTSIDE WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE, RIPPING OUT THE SCREWS ON THE OUTER EDGE. I TRIED THE RAIL ON THE OTHER SIDE AND BY PULLING OUT I COULD LIFT UP THE INNER EDGE AND COULD HAVE RIPPED IT OFF BY HAND WITH A LITTLE MORE PRESSURE. FORTUNATELY NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WAS HIT. I FEEL THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. RAIL IS RATED AT 220 LBS BY KIA. TOTAL WEIGHT OF KAYAK WAS 70LBS.

THE CLIPS ON THE REAR PASSENGERS DOOR PANEL HAS BROKEN CAUSING THE PANEL TO STICK OUT. THIS IS MAKING IT SO THAT THE DOOR WON'T OPEN. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET.

AS FOUND WITH MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THE SORENTO, THE PARTS INSIDE THE DOOR HANDLE BROKE AND THE DOOR HANDLE FELL OFF WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE DOOR. ALL THE PARTS INSIDE, INCLUDING THE DOOR HANDLE ARE PLASTIC AND, APPARENTLY DEFECTIVE. YOU CANNOT GET INTO YOUR CAR. IF THE HANDLES FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING, IT CAN HIT A FOLLOWING CAR AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A CASUALTY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. WHILE ENTERING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT'S FOOT INADVERTENTLY STRUCK THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT RAIL WHICH WAS MOVED BACKWARDS. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A LACERATION ON ONE OF THE TOES AND REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE STRUCK THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FRONT BUMPER WAS BEING HELD IN PLACE BY WIRE AND HOT GLUE. THE FRONT BUMPER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE ISSUE WAS BETWEEN THE CONTACT AND THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

VEHICLE IS BACK AT FUCILLA KIA DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. IT IS ONLY ONE WEEK SINCE WE PICKED UP THE BRAND NEW CAR AND IT IS ALREADY IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR...NOT A GOOD OMEN AND WE ARE NOT HAPPY. *TR
